Friday, 11th December 2009 - 6pm David had officially been dating Stacey for six weeks and he was irrevocably in love with her. He had pretty much fallen for her the first time he had seen her during the first therapy session. He knew his feelings were wrong and yet he couldn’t stop them from happening. It was all so quick but so very natural. He had done his best to keep his feelings to himself until the day of her last therapy session and it had all came flooding out. It might have got off to a rocky start, but the way they were with each other now he knew he hadn’t been a mistake telling her how he felt. His love for Stacey and her unborn child continued to grow from that first meeting and in the past week after he had been round and put together the cot and changing table for her and then going out to buy the camera, his feelings just became all the more intense. More so in the last week. That was when David made the conscious decision to buy what he wanted to give her later that night. He had booked a table at the most expensive restaurant he knew he could afford and made sure they would be seated at a table with soft comfortable seats. Well Stacey was now seven months pregnant and needed her comfort more than ever. She was just as beautiful now as she was from the first day he saw her, in fact she was possibly even more beautiful what with the maternal glow she had around her from being pregnant, and she was positively blooming. He had sent her a text earlier that evening around four in the afternoon telling her to make sure she was ready to leave the house for six because he was taking her out for a meal. David was wearing dress denims, a pale blue shirt and a lightweight jacket. He touched the pocket of his jacket to make sure the box was there which it was and picked up his keys and headed to the convertible to make his way to Stacey’s apartment. David had been busy over the past week sorting a few things out, and he only hoped that when he revealed them to Stacey bit by bit she wouldn’t be too overwhelmed with them. He loved her and wanted to be with her for the rest of his life, he just wanted to show that to her and make it known to the world. He arrived outside Stacey’s apartment with a couple of minutes to spare and jumped out the car, lifting the bouquet of flowers that he had bought earlier and made his way up to her door. After he rang the bell he waited for her to answer the door, holding the bouquet of flowers in clear view for her. He usually always brought her flowers when he visited, most of the time they were just small bouquets as a gesture of his love toward her, but this one was a bit bigger than any of the others, but that’s because they were giving a statement, a statement which was connected to what he wanted to do later at the restaurant. Once the door was opened, David smiled at her, and handed her the bouquet of flowers. “For you my stunningly beautiful girlfriend.” He then leaned in and gave her a gentle but lingering kiss on the lips. He then pulled apart from her, “Are you ready to go? Our reservation is for six thirty, the flowers are in water so they can wait until you get home to be put into a vase.”

Stacey couldn't believe how time had flown lately. Her last relationship was drifting more and more into the past, and her current relationship was coming more and more forward into the present, and into the future. Stacey felt lucky that she had met David, who was first and foremost her therapist at the time. But once she was done with the sessions, David had confessed his feelings for her, which brought out hidden ones she had never knew she had for him. Since that day she had never looked back, and probably never would. David was just the fit she needed right now, and he was more than a stable part of her life. Stacey loved him so much, and was loving how much he was also taking care of her and her unborn baby. That was another thing. Stacey couldn't believe that she had about two months left till the baby was to be born. It was crazy just to think about it.
The classes that they had been attending had been going well. And the next class they were going to show an actual delivery. Stacey was not looking forward to that one bit. But in order to prepare herself, she had been watching some birthing videos on youtube. Still not comforting enough, seeing this huge head coming out, and all the screaming going on. Just thinking about it now was making her all scared of what she was in for when the time came for her. She was not looking forward to it one little bit.
Stacey had been lying down for about an hour that afternoon, and actually slept for almost all of that time, when her phone told her that a message had come through. Stacey slowly reached over, and soon sat up seeing that it was from David. She smiled, liking what he had said. They never really went out, which was fine with Stacey, as night time was the time when she was the most tired, most of the time. But knowing that she was going out for dinner made her all perked up. Stacey replied with an 'Okay', and then looked at her clock to see that she had another hour to kill at least for more sleep in order to be refreshed for that night.
At five o'clock, Stacey's alarm went off, and she groaned, feeling like she had just gone to sleep. But then she remembered why she had woken up, and slowly got off the bed to get ready. It was a good thing that she allowed all this time, because these days she seemed to be a little more slower, but not all the time. Stacey found something that was suitable: a pair of black linen pants, ones that actually fit, and a nice white top, to go over her stomache. Stacey applied a small amount of mascara, and a nice shade of lip gloss, and was soon ready to go. It was close to the time when David said that he would be there, so she quickly made a stop to the bathroom. Stacey got out, just as the doorbell to her apartment rang.
"I'm coming!" She quickly made her way to the door, which she quickly opened. Stacey was welcomed by a smile from David, and a bunch of flowers. "Hey!" David handed her the flowers, which she took, smelling them instantly. Just hearing what he said to her as he gave her the flowers, made her heart skip a beat. He then kissed her, which made Stacey kiss him back. "Thank you David. They are gorgeous. And I have to make do with what I have to dress in lately. Need to get more clothes." She gave him a smile, and then he asked if she was ready to go, and that the flowers would basically be okay till she got home later. "Okay, and I just need to grab my bag."
Stacey walked into the lounge room, and placed the flowers on the table. She then picked up her black bag, placing it over her shoulder. Stacey came back, and stood in front of David. "Ready. Lead the way." She opened the door, then waited for David to follow, so that she could close and lock the door to her apartment. She then followed David.

After David had rang the doorbell he soon heard Stacey say that she was coming, and he couldn’t help but let a slow smile spread across his face at her words. No, he wasn’t being rude minded for those who think he might have been, it was just that he knew she would take slightly longer to get to the door now that she was getting bigger. Then again maybe it was for the best she had spoken out because David was a bit of a worrier around Stacey and if she took slightly longer to answer the door than usual and he hadn’t heard her, he would have began to think that she had maybe had some sort of accident. Once Stacey opened the door the smile on David’s face got bigger and replied to her, “Hi honey.” He then handed her the bouquet of flowers saying they were for his stunningly beautiful girlfriend. Well he wasn’t lying, she was stunningly beautiful. David had then leaned in to kiss her and he felt Stacey kiss him back. He loved her so much. Stacey then thanked him for the flowers saying they were gorgeous. “You’re welcome and you’re gorgeous.” He winked and smiled, she added that she would have to make do with what she was dressed in as she needed to get more clothes. He frowned slightly still smiling, “You look gorgeous Stacey, you could wear a refuse sack and still pull it off and look amazing.” He wasn’t messing with her either, Stacey in David’s eyes at any rate was the epitome of beautiful and the blooming pregnancy was just adding to the beauty she already possessed. “We can go clothes shopping tomorrow afternoon if you think you would be up for it? So long as you allow me pay for at least two of the outfits you pick, deal?” He knew Stacey liked her independence and he would never take that away from her, but he was her boyfriend, he was allowed to treat her if wanted to. David had then told her that the flowers were already in water and would be alright until she got back home to her apartment later. He smiled as she said she just had to grab her bag. “No problem.” He replied as he stood at the door and waited for her. She was soon back out and asking him to lead the way. David made his way out and waited for her to lock the door and then David made his way to the convertible, quickly looking behind to make sure Stacey was following and was alright. He unlocked the doors and opened the passenger door right away and then made his way round to his own side. Once they were both inside he made his way to Harrah’s Restaurant and Casino. David put on some music while he was driving, he could listen to pretty much anything and chose to play some Chris De Burgh, and the song which started up was ’Lady In Red’ and David began singing along to the song glancing toward Stacey when he reached particular lines such as the following:- “And when you turned to me and smiled, it took my breath away I have never had such a feeling Such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight.” Of course not all the song lyrics were relevant, because Stacey wasn’t wearing red and David felt he knew her well enough, just those particular lines were so very true of the way he was feeling right at that moment. The song had played out along with at least another two songs before David finally reached the Restaurant and Casino complex. David pulled into the parking lot and soon jumped out of the car and made his way round to open the door for Stacey and held his hand out for her to take. Once Stacey was out he pushed the button to close the roof and then put the lock on and began to lead Stacey into the restaurant part of the massive complex. Once inside he made his way to the check in area, “Table for two in the name of Callaghan please?” The receptionist looked the name up and checked it off the list. “Certainly sir, if you would just like to follow me.” David smiled and nodded his head as he followed the man and led Stacey to one of the tables toward the back of the rather big restaurant. “A waiter will be with you shortly sir.” David again nodded his head and smiled. The table they were at had a pull out seat at one side and a soft plush seat to the wall. David figured the seat at the wall would be more comfortable for Stacey. “Do you want to sit at the wall; I can pull the table out if you need a little more room.” He wasn’t saying that to be mean, he just didn’t want Stacey to be squashed against the edge of the table as it would hurt her after a while. David was bursting with pride and love as he looked at her, he so badly just wanted to blurt everything out there and then but decided little bits at a time would be easier for Stacey to deal with. {ooc - yeah massive delay between both posts, went off to watch Kick Ass lol god knows how many more posts I'll get out now.}

After Stacey had thanked him for the flowers and said that they were gorgeous, she blushed a bit, when he said that she was welcome, and that she was gorgeous. Stacey was used to the compliments from David, and shook her head a little, feeling the blush get worse across her cheeks. She had made comments on her clothes, and again the blush came about when David said that she looked gorgeous. "I don't know about that. I still think clothes would look better. And clothes that fit even better."
"I'd like that. As long as tonight is not a late night, then clothes shopping sounds good. And deal. Can't argue with that face." She grabbed his face with one hand gently, and then kissed him on the lips, letting it linger. After Stacey had put the flowers down, and grabbed her bag, she asked him to lead the way. Stacey allowed both of them to head out, she locked the door, then followed David out to his car. She noticed he kept looking behind himself, and Stacey smiled a little, wondering what he was doing. She was fine, and she was with him, so everything was fine.
David opened the door for her, and she slowly got in. Once David was in, they were off to wherever he was taking them for dinner. Stacey occassionally looked over at David, and then would look out the window, at what they were passing. She then heard the sound of music playing. All of a sudden, Stacey heard David singning, that made her giggle a little. Though she heard what he was singing at one part, and it made her heart melt. "I love you too, David." Stacey gave him a big smile, then continued to look out the window.
They were soon at the restaurant, and saw how big the place was. It was only to be expected as it had a casino and hotel facilities. She hadn't stepped foot into a hotel or restaurant this big since she had been with Brendan, so it felt all new again, as it was with David, who she loved with all her heart. David opened her door, and she took his hand that he held out for her. She waited for him to lock the car, and then followed him into the restaurant, hand in his.
She followed David into the are where they had to check in for reservations, and she felt herself smiling, and looking around. The restaurant was nice, and she was feeling a little hungry, even if she hadn't done a lot that day, and had eaten a bit already. Soon enough they were led to a table towards the back. They were told that the waiter would be with them shortyl, and as the person left, Stacey smiled, "Thanks." David then gave her the option of where to sit. "I should be able to get in there. Thanks though." Stacey sat at the end of the chair, and slid across a little. Once she was settled, she put her bag to the side closest to the wall. "See. All well and good. Not to big to see at these things yet." Stacey gave him a smile, and then looked around.
"It's a nice restaurant David. Can't wait to see what they have. I am absolutely starving. Even though I have eaten so much already today." Stacey knew she had to watch what she at, so had been doing well. "I had the must biggest craving for ice cream, and kind of ate half a litre in one sitting. Kind of paid for it later though, as I had to lay down to get rid of the pain in the stomach. I think I ate it way too fast." Stacey knew that was the truth, because she couldn't put the spoon in her mouth fast enough.

Stacey’s blush hadn’t gone unnoticed by David, but then she had been blushing a lot recently at anything David said to her when it came to telling her how gorgeous she looked. When he was around her he couldn’t stop smiling and his eyes sparkled constantly. He had to chuckle at what she said about clothes being better than the refuse sack he had mentioned. “Alright maybe you have a point, however...” He trailed off and leaned into her ear and whispered, “I might have to go with a completely different option, in my opinion, no clothes at all would be even better, indoors at least.” David just couldn’t help but say what he did, he was just so in love with her and he wanted her to know that. He knew pregnant women often felt conscious about their growing size during pregnancy but they always failed to see it from the man’s point of view, because to David he honestly didn’t think there was anything more beautiful than a pregnant woman in full bloom.
David had then suggested they go clothes shopping the following afternoon if she was up for it, so long as he was allowed to buy at least two of the outfits she chose. He grinned as she said she would like it as long as they weren’t out late and then he felt her hand grab his face lightly and he couldn’t help but grin at what she said. “I agree it is difficult to argue with this face, I have this face on purpose especially for that reason.” He was teasing her of course and he began to laugh lightly after it, his eyes constantly sparkling. “It won’t be a late night, so tomorrow will be fine.”
Once they were in the car and on their way to the restaurant he had booked, well the restaurant within the massive casino complex that he had booked he had begun to play some music and was soon singing along to one of the songs. When he reached certain lines, he would glance at Stacey singing them to her knowing that he meant exactly what the words were saying. He heard her giggle a bit, but when she heard the words he was singing as he looked at her, she said she loved him too. He gave her a bright smile then, “And there goes that smile of yours which takes my breath away.” He replied as she had smiled brightly at him before she looked out the window.
Once they were inside the restaurant part of the casino complex they were led to a table toward the back of the restaurant. David smiled as Stacey responded about the seat and whether he would need to pull the table out or not for her to make it more comfortable. “I wasn’t trying to be nasty about it you do know that right? I was just concerned because I didn’t want you to get hurt. I’m glad it’s fine for you.” He gave her a warm smile then and Stacey began to talk some more saying that it was a nice restaurant and not being able to wait to see what they have because she was starving.
“I’m glad you like the restaurant, and it is a nice one.” The waiter came with the menus then and handed one to each of them with a slight nod of the head in acknowledgement. “I will be back in a few moments to take your order.” David smiled, “Thank you.” Stacey then went on to tell him about her craving for ice cream and how much of it she had eaten. “Well a little bit of bad does everyone some good, and you are feeding for two and if the baby likes it, but I am glad that laying down made you feel better after.”
David was itching to start telling her everything or more to the point to start asking her everything as he was bursting with excitement and yet he didn’t want to all too soon and all too quickly. He figured he would start with what he felt was the best one to start with, reaching his hands across the table he took Stacey’s in his, “I’m not sure how you will feel about this, but I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about it recently and since I’ve technically been looking at her as my own anyway...” He was of course referring to Stacey’s unborn child, “I was wondering how you would feel about me adopting the baby when she’s born?” He and Stacey had taken to referring the baby as a girl even though neither of them knew the sex, it would seem Stacey felt she was having a girl and going by the old wives tale, the way Stacey was carrying the baby it would seem she was having a girl.
Well that was one of the important questions out of the way he thought, as he then began to flick through the menu wondering what to have.
{ooc - I know I did this before some of my older owed posts to you but I wanted to keep the 3 way thread running and since I was on David's account it made sense to post in this one too}

Stacey gasped a little at what David had just whispered to her. She hadn't been like that with him for a few days, just feeling like she wasn't beautiful, what with the way she was looking. But she knew deep down it wasn't mattering with David in the slightest, which made being without clothes with him okay in her eyes. "Maybe you might get lucky tonight then." She moved away from his face, and let a smirk cross her lips.
Stacey giggled a little at the smile on his face, and at what he said next. "Really? Might have to say no more often then. Just to test out the theory and all that." But really, Stacey knew that she would never be like that with David. Everything was falling into place with him, and it felt good. Her life was complete somehow, but there was always that thought of where they would go, relationship wise, in the future. But really there was enough time for all of that, once the baby was born. When he said that it wouldn't be a late night, she nodded. "Good to know."
After Stacey said that she loved him too, David then commented on her smile, which again made her blush. Stacey turned back to him, smiling warmly at him. "I don't know about that. But thank you." She knew she didn't have to thank him, but manners just always slipped out, no matter who it is. Stacey then looked back out the window, watching buildings and houses go passed.
When David has suggested pulling the table out of her, in order for her to sit down, he had then said that he wasn't being nasty about moving the table. "I know David. I never took it that way at all." She was kind of proud of herself for being able to sit down without anything being pulled out, or moved. But she knew that it was going to happen soon enough.
The waiter then approached their table, and Stacey took a menu off of him. She smiled as he left, and opened up the menu straight away. Stacey then mentioned about what she had eaten that day already, despite being hungry right there and then. "I guess so. But I have been doing good so far, but the temptation was enough to drive us both crazy." She patted her stomache, knowing that really both were to blame for it, but it was nice all the same.
Stacey looked at the open menu, looking at what she would be able to stomache, despite her mind wandering over the idea of having pork, which she knew she wouldn't be able to eat, let along smell. Soon she looked up, as David took both of hands, which made her look at him all serious. Stacey concentrated on what David said, and then didn't know what to say or do. "I, uh, haven't really been thinking about it. But you do bring up a good point." Stacey removed her hand from David's, and rested her chin in her hand, looking from the menu, up to David, then back at the menu.
Her eyes slowly made their way up to meet David's face. A smile slowly crept onto her lips. "I have no objections with you adopting her. When she is born of cause." Her smile grew bigger, as Stacey looked down at the menu, soon spotting what she wanted to eat.

David had to chuckle a little at Stacey’s response to what he said about her looking good naked, “I look forward to it then Miss. Potter.” The idea of getting lucky with Stacey later considering what he had planned for later that evening was making him feel quite giddy on the inside. He realised that he wasn’t going to be able to get the smile off his face for the rest of the evening now, not that he would have been feeling anything else but happy right now. He was with Stacey and they were about to spend the most wonderful evening together, at least he hoped they were, what wasn’t to be happy about?
David loved the fact he and Stacey could tease each other the way they were doing, he had been lucky so far not to be in the middle of one of her mood swings not that it would have bothered him. He knew that somehow he would have dealt with it as best he could. When Stacey replied to his comment about his face and said she would have to say no more often to test the theory David had to laugh a little. “Well, I dare you to argue and say no to this face.” He teased back giving her a challenge if you will. David had then confirmed it wouldn’t be a late night and he smiled as Stacey replied saying ‘good to know’.
When Stacey replied to his comment about her smile taking his breath away, he frowned slightly, “Hey, you don’t know what your smile does to me; you have no right to say you don’t know about that. My breath’s going now as a matter of fact; it’s getting difficult to...” He trailed off and then pretended to choke a couple of times, and then decided to get back to concentrating on the driving, the last thing he wanted to do was cause them to crash. But he glanced at her smiling, “Seriously though Stacey you shouldn’t be so down on yourself, especially around me, because you know fine well I’m just going to say different, but you’re welcome.” He knew he was probably wasting his breath saying that, Stacey was the epitome of woman, they always usually found fault with themselves and Stacey was no exception and it didn’t matter what others said, they would always believe themselves over others.
When David had suggested he could pull the table out in the restaurant if required, he had then added that he hadn’t meant to be nasty about it, just thinking about Stacey’s comfort. He was glad when Stacey replied saying she hadn’t taken it the wrong way at all. He gave her a warm smile, “That’s good because I would hate to upset you.” That was true; hopefully David would never do anything to upset Stacey, at least not on purpose at any rate.
After Stacey spoke about the craving for the ice-cream David had commented that a little bit of bad did everyone good and that she was eating for two now. “Well you aren’t alone Stacey, temptation can drive everyone insane from time to time. Sometimes you just have to give into it.” Stacey had then began to look at the menu the minute she was handed one, David hadn’t thought about looking at it, as he had something else in his head that he wanted to say. He had then taken both of her hands in his and said he had been thinking about it a lot recently and then asked how she would feel if he were to adopt her baby as his own when she was born. Stacey didn’t respond right away and David began to wonder if he’d said the wrong thing, especially when she did begin to speak saying she hadn’t even thought about it.
Stacey removed her hand from David’s and looked at the menu, then back at him, then down at the menu once more, his head was going crazy with all sorts of thoughts wondering what she was thinking. His eyes were darting from left to right as he waited for Stacey to answer him, although they were still sparkling like they always did. Then she slowly looked back up at him and a smile slowly spread across her face and she spoke saying she had no objections to him adopting her when she was born. He grinned feeling as if he could breathe again as it felt like a weight had been lifted off of him, “That’s great Stacey, I was beginning to wonder what you were going to say. I already love her like she’s my own, so all I would be doing is making it official in my eyes.” David grinned some more and then looked through the menu some more.
Once he had decided on having the Cajun chicken with roast potatoes and vegetables, he looked over to Stacey, “Are you ready to order yet honey?” Once she replied to him, he then wondered if he should bring up the next thing which had been praying on his mind recently. Not wanting to overwhelm her but desperate to get everything out there. “I was also wondering how you would feel about moving in with me. I know you love your independence and I would never take that away from you, but I could look after you and the baby when she’s born better if you were to do that. I have the room for you both; in fact I have the room if and when we did want to expand on our brood, what do you say?”
David knew it wouldn’t be an instant thing, for a start they would have to pack up all her things, get her apartment on the market to be put up for sale, and then have all her things transported from her apartment to his house. He had already been secretly decorating one of his spare rooms next to the main bedroom and turning it into a nursery, it wasn’t quite complete yet, but it was coming along nicely and he figured it would be a nice surprise for Stacey when he got round to showing it off to her.

Stacey just rolled her eyes, smirking a little, as David said that he looked forward to it, if he got lucky later. Over the last couple of weeks, Stacey had been feeling more like being intimate with David, despite the size she was. She knew she would be getting bigger, and maybe these times were the best times for sex. When she would be eight months along, or even close to delivering, she may not feel like it, or it might be too awkward. But for Stacey, it might not matter. She was with the man she loved right now, and she was sure that they would figure something out, if she was still frisky. It was definately something to talk to David about later on.
Stacey grinned at David, as he said that he dared her to argue with him, and say not to his face. "Well, David," she said as she held out her hand out for him to shake, "Deal. And I am up for the challenge when it comes up." Stacey didn't know if it would, but if one of her moodswings did come up, then she would have no control over it if she was saying no. Though it depended on the situation she was getting worked up over.
Stacey frowned a little, as David did at her. She wanted to set him right, not meaning to doubt what he said. Though David then trailed off, and began to choke. She should have known fine well that he was just kidding aroun, but still she put a hand on the steering wheel, just in case he wasn't. She let out a bit of a breath, as she let go of the steering wheel. Stacey hadn't meant to sound like she was doubting herself, but it seemed that she had said it in a tone like she was. "I didn't mean to sound like that David. I don't doubt, well maybe sometimes I do doubt myself. And I know that you will say something different, and you have to know when you do that, I love you for it." She reached over as much as she could, and kissed him on the cheek.
After the discussion of pulling out the table had finished, Stacey had talked about the ice cream she had eaten that day. David had mentioned then about temptations driving eveyone insane. She giggled a little. "Oh we definately gave in, didn't we?" Stacey looked down at her stomach, and patted it again. She looked up at David, smiling. She then whispered, with her eyes lighting up, "But I blame her." Stace was only kidding, they were both to blame, but still the ice cream was really good.
Stacey hadn't meant to stumble over her words, or be unsure with what he said about adopting the baby, but she had. She hadn't thought about it, but thinking about it for a second, it seemed like the right thing for David to do. He would be more of a father to the baby then the actual father would be, wherever he was. Though she didn't think a life with Jake would be a nice one, so she was going to definately choose David. Once she said that she would have no objections to him adopting the baby, David said that it was great, and that he already loved the baby as if she was his own, and all he would be doing is making it official. As David looked down at the menu, Stacey just sat and smiled in David's direction. She knew that he loved the baby, it was evident all the time that they were together.
Stacey soon spotted the one thing, or actually two things that she found her eyes glued to. When David asked her if she was ready to order, she looked up at him, nodding. "Yes I am." She then looked and found the things that she wanted. "I think I will get the Caesar Salad, and the New York Steak." She then looked down at the menu, hoping that she wasn't ordering too much, but she was starving. After their orders were taken, Stacey reached for the glass of water that was on the table, and took a few mouthfuls.
As she put it down on the table, David then spoke to her, and she was taken a back a little of what he said. Stacey wondered what else he was going to ask her. She didn't mind him asking all this stuff, but it just seemed that it was all coming out at once. Stacey sat back in the chair she was in, and absentmindedly rubbed at her stomach slowly. "David, I don't know... I know what you are saying. It would beneficial for both of us if I did, and I love how you know me, and how I do love my independence. I... could I think about it?" She bit on her bottom lip, hoping that it didn't hurt his feelings. Stacey knew deep down that he was thinking about her, and really she didn't want to be on her own if and when she did go into labour. So maybe David was right, but Stacey just felt she needed time, only a little time, to think it over.
She reached over for his hand, and gave it a gentle squeeze, and gave him a small smile. "Let me think about it while we eat, okay?" Stacey didn't want to disappoint David, and she wanted him to know that she was seriously going to think about it.

When David dared Stacey to argue and say no to his face he saw that grin of hers which made him grin back and then she was holding her hand out for him to shake making it a deal adding that she was up for the challenge when it came up. He took her hand and shook it laughing a little, but secretly wondering if he’d just made a terrible mistake. Maybe she would say no on purpose to him once time just to teach him a lesson. “Alright, I am now officially worried that you will say no to me once just to prove that you can.” He laughed again though enjoying the teasing that seemed to be going on between the both of them just now.
When David began to mess around pretending that his breath had been truly taken away and was choking he saw Stacey put her hand on the steering wheel. This prompted him to start behaving again as he didn’t want to worry her. After he got serious with her, Stacey replied saying she didn’t doubt herself and then said maybe she did, but he had to know that whenever he said anything different she loved him for it. “Good, because I don’t think you’ll ever hear me saying anything else other than you are a stunningly beautiful woman who is positively blooming right at this minute.” He winked at her and smiled with his eyes sparkling like always. Stacey then reached over and kissed him on the cheek which made him smile all the more. “I love you Stacey.”
David had to laugh a little when Stacey said that they definitely gave in to the craving for ice-cream. Everything about Stacey melted his heart and every time she smiled his heart would skip a beat. Yes tonight was definitely the right night for this he was certain of it. Stacey then whispered adding that she blamed the baby, although he knew she was teasing he couldn’t help but then get up and walk round to Stacey’s side, lowering himself down he put on a pretend shock face and whispered to Stacey’s stomach “It’s alright princess she didn’t mean it.” He then stood up straight and kissed Stacey before returning to his own side.
David couldn’t have been happier when Stacey agreed to him adopting her baby when she was born. Not that it would have made any difference either way, David would have looked to Stacey’s baby as his own no matter what, but he just felt that by adopting her it would make it all the more legal. He had then concentrated on the menu to see what he wanted to order for himself, asking Stacey a short time later if she was ready to order also. He smiled when she nodded agreeing that she was ready. So once he knew what she wanted he called the waiter over. “We’ll have the Caesar Salad with New York Steak and Cajun Chicken with roast potatoes and vegetables please.” The waiter nodded his head after marking everything down. “May I get you a drink at all?” The waiter asked, David nodded his head, “I’ll have a Lemonade and Beer please.” He then looked at Stacey to see what she would want for herself; although he had a fair idea it would be a glass of Ice Cold Coke.
Once the waiter was gone David had gone into his next question and right away he began to wonder if he should have waited for another time to ask her to move in with him. It was maybe all too much especially after asking to adopt her unborn child. What if the final thing he wanted to ask her just set her over the edge tonight? He tried not to look too disappointed when she answered him, he had a feeling she may have said no to moving in with him because of her independence, but David would never stop her from doing what she wanted to do so long as she was careful. He could tell she was struggling with what he had asked her, so in his mind he decided not to ask the other question because he just had a feeling it would be too much for her. “I’m sorry Stacey, maybe I am throwing too much at you at once, just forget I asked, for now.”
Maybe their relationship would work better if they lived separate lives, but how would that look to the child when she was born especially when he was adopting her. How would she feel growing up and seeing that mommy and daddy really loved each other but they lived apart? He shook his head of the thoughts; it was in Stacey’s right to say no to what he had asked. So maybe this was the first no Stacey was actually going to give him, well he didn’t want for there to be a second, so he definitely wasn’t going to ask his final question. He would keep for when he felt it was a better time. He didn’t want her to think she had upset him, but he couldn’t help but look down then, their relationship had taken off rather fast, and now he was throwing all these questions at her. However he soon felt Stacey take his hand and he looked back up again with a small smile but an apologetic look on his face, but then she spoke and he gave her a slightly better smile. “Sure, if that’s what you want to do, I never wanted to push so many things onto you Stacey, but I can’t deny I’ve been doing a lot of thinking recently.” Maybe he would be able to ask her his other question, but for now he would see how the evening panned out, if he did decide not to do it, he was going to have to speak to the manager to get them to stop something at a certain time.

Stacey just shook her head, "You have no need to be worried, David. It might be a 'no', not on purpose. It might just come out when I have one of those terrible mood swings." Stacey was sure that she wouldn't do it on purpose. She would only say no if it was something she wasn't sure of, or didn't want to do. Stacey would never tell him 'no' for just the fun of it. Though it might depends on the situation, if she was to say no like that.
After Stacey had said that maybe she did doubt herself, but liked it when he corrected her, as she loved him for it, David replied. She lent her head against the back of the car seat, and looked at him. When he spoke, saying that she was a 'stunningly beautiful woman who is prositively blooming', again Stacey felt her face blush, and a felt her eyes misting over. Here come the emotions, she thought to herself. She had then kissed him on the cheek, which led to David to say he loved her. Stacyed sighed, smiling at David, just feeling content all over again.
Stacey didn't mean to blame the baby, but she was just kidding about it all. When David got up then, she frowned slightly, wondering why he was getting up. What was he up to? Then she watched as he got down a little next to her, and put on a shocked face. Stacey then sighed a little, then grinned at the sight at her stomache. Hearing what David said to the unborn baby was definately a sight to see, and Stacey placed a hand in his hair, slightly moving it around as he spoke. David then moved away from her stomache, and then kissed Stacey, which she returned with much love. She smiled as he returned to his seat, and then felt a kick. Not hard, but enough for the baby to let her know that she had heard him. Stacey sat back and murmured to herself as she rubbed at her stomache, loving the feeling of those kicks.
The waiter finally came over to take their order, and David told them what he and Stacey wanted. Stacey heard her stomache growling a little, as the waiter wrote down what they wanted, and she looked to see if anyone had heard, hoping that it was only her that heard and felt it. The waiter then asked about drinks, and David ordered his, and then asked her what she wanted. David then looked to see what she wanted, and Stacey instantly spoke up, looking at the waiter. "I will have a large glass of Coke please." Once she said it, she looked at David with a big smile. "I was kind of waiting for you to just tell him what I wanted."
The waiter soon left with their food and drink order, and then David had asked about her maybe moving in with him. Stacey felt taken a back with the question, but then when she spoke, she could tell that it wasn't the answer he was after. It was very much evident when he apologised, and then told her to forget it. Stacey let out a small breath, feeling like shit now, since she had definately not given him the right answer, as yet. She had then reached over, taking his hand, and then had said that she would think about it over dinner. Stacey noticed that it was a smile, but not the big ones she had been used to with David. So David had been thinking about things, which made Stacey wonder what else he had been thinking about. "It is what I want to do, but it is only for a short time, while we eat, okay? You aren't pushing me, David. You are just telling me what you have been thinking about. I love that you are so open, but I just need a few minutes or more to think about it, okay?"
Stacey hoped that what she had said reassured him more. She took a sip of the water, and looked out at the restaurant. Stacey knew that she would eventually move in with him, it was only the right thing to do. She sometimes found it hard to be away from David, despite her love of independence. David took care of her the best he could, and she loved how he always said the right things. Stacey felt secure with him, and that was best way to feel, especially in her condition. At that thought, she rubbed a little at her stomache, and all of a sudden felt a couple of kicks, that made her jump a little. Was that the sign that she was meant to get in order to answer 'yes' to David? Stacey bit on her bottom lip, and looked at David, in case he got alarmed at her jumping. "It's just the baby kicking. Kind of scared me, as I was thinking."

When Stacey shook her head and said he had no need to worry and that the ‘no’ might not be on purpose if it came out during one of her mood swings he just gave her a warm smile and replied, “I was sort of teasing with you, there is going to come a time when I may ask something and you will have to say no because you definitely don’t want to do it.” He laughed a little then and just thought to himself how lucky he was to have Stacey in his life and if she were to say no to him over something just to prove that she could he had a feeling it would be done in humour anyway and David liked to think he had a pretty good sense of humour.
After Stacey leaned back against the car seat and David had given her the compliment saying she was stunningly beautiful he watched as a blush came over her. He thought the blushing was cute but that wasn’t why he kept complimenting her, he complimented her because he was telling her the truth and in David’s eyes she deserved to be complimented. He was very happy with the way his life was going right now and when he told her loved her, he heard her sigh and then smile at him, David could tell it was a sign of contentment, which was something David had been feeling since he and Stacey officially became a couple.
After Stacey had blamed the baby for the ice-cream craving in a joking way naturally, David had played on that joke by putting on a pretend shock face and then bending down to Stacey’s stomach saying that mommy didn’t mean it. As he did this he felt Stacey’s hand in his hair and it felt so good a very quiet moan escaped from his lips. He then stood up and kissed Stacey which he felt her returning and he looked at her with a face full of love and then smiled brightly at her before returning to his own seat.
Once the waiter had come to take their orders and asked if they wanted anything to drink David had asked for a lemonade and beer and then looked to Stacey for her to give her order. Of course David knew what Stacey would have asked for, so when the waiter left Stacey said she had been kind of waiting for David to just say it. David laughed a little, “Well I did have an idea that’s what you would have ordered but I thought I would give you your place to put in your own order this time. Besides you may have decided for something different and then I’d have looked crazy.” David pulled a crazy style face briefly and then chuckled after it.
After Stacey’s first response to his question and then she added that she would think about during dinner he had said if that’s what she wanted to do. Stacey then confirmed that it was what she wanted to do but it was just while they ate and added that he wasn’t pushing her, he had just been telling her what he had been thinking about and how she loved him being so open but she just needed time to think. He nodded his head then and just continued to give her a small smile, inside he was dying because he just couldn’t get it out of his head that he had thrown too much at her at the one time. “Okay then Stacey.”
What else could he say? He hadn’t meant to throw everything at her at once, but he had just been so excited about everything he wanted to ask, it all came rolling out. He was sort of regretting it now though, just a little. He still had that one final question he wanted to ask, but now he just kept thinking it was either better to drop it completely or to wait for Stacey’s reply to his question after they had eaten dinner, if she said yes to moving in with him then he might be able to ask his final question, otherwise on the back of her saying no to moving in, this final question probably wouldn’t go down very well either.
Stacey had then gone quiet, not that David could blame her, he had just given her something rather huge to think about, maybe not as huge as the other question he had, but still. It was possible she was thinking about her answer even now before their meals arrived. Whatever her answer was David wasn’t going to push the issue at all. As they both obviously lost themselves in their thoughts he suddenly glanced at Stacey and saw she had jumped a little. David put on a look of concern on his face right away, the doubt over his question gone in a single second because to David it looked like Stacey might be in pain, but she soon put him right by telling him that it was just the baby kicking her suddenly and it had sort of scared her as she had been thinking. David let out a sigh of relief and gave her one of his more genuine warm smiles, “That’s great Stacey; I was a little worried there for a second.”
It was at this point their meals and drinks arrived, David nodded his head and thanked the waiter, he inhaled deeply and then grinned, “This smells really good.” He then began to take a bite and nodded his head “Mm...It is really good.” He then ate some more of it and then took a sip of his lemonade beer and then looked over at Stacey before taking another mouthful of food, “How’s your meal honey?” He asked forgetting about what was going to happen during the course of the meal.

Stacey nodded in acknowledgement of what David said about a time might come when she might have to say no, as she might definately not want to do whatever it was he had said or asked. She smiled at David, "Okay, and understood." Of cause there might be a time when something was said, and Stacey might not like what he asked, then a 'no' would definately be the answer.
When David had gone down to Stacey stomache, speaking about how she didn't mean it, she had put her hand in his hair, and she did hear the almost whispered moan come from David. So, she thought, he likes that, might have to add that into any foreplay we might have later. The thought of that made her smile, and she knew for certain that they might have some fun later. When David had parted after he kissed her, she smiled back at him, loving that smile of his as well. Yes, definately going to be a good night.
When it had come time to order their drinks, Stacey had been a little surprised that David hadn't just gone ahead and ordered her normal drink. But in the end she had ordered a large glass of Coke. She giggled a little, after David spoke, pulling that silly face he pulled. Stacey shook her head, "David, your so silly sometimes. And I think you are safe until the baby is born to just order Coke for me. That is all I drink, and will ever drink till she is born. Not sure if I will touch the stuff afterwards, we will just have to wait and see." She knew and had read that cravings that came with the pregnancy normally never stayed, or you couldn't face them ever again after. So this was yet to be proven with her.
Stacey still felt a bit bad, telling David that she had to think about moving in with him. It wasn't that she didn't like the idea, it was good, and she knew that his intentions were good also. But she just needed time to think about it, well only for a little while, while they ate. She gave him a small smile, when he said 'okay', making her want to just say 'yes', but still she needed to think more.
Stacey didn't mean to go quiet with David with her. She truly wanted to think about the question more, and also knew she wanted to put David out of his obvious misery, not wanting to drag it on for much longer. But then as she was thinking, the baby kicked her a couple of times, and she had wondered whether that was the sign she was after. Stacey quickly looked up at David, seeing the look of concern on his face, and quickly told him that the baby kicked, and it had scared her because she was thinking. She smiled back at David, and she nodded a little. "Nothing to worry about." Stacey then wondered if she really needed to do anymore thinking if those kicks were her answer, like the baby was nudging her to say yes, in a way.
Though Stacey waited a few minutes, when the food and drinks finally arrived. What she ordered was smelling unbelievable, and she couldn't wait to dig into it. Once the plate was put in front of her, she grabbed her steak knife and fork, and cut a small piece off of her steak. Once it hit her mouth, Stacey felt like she was in heaven. "Oh my.... This is the best steak I think I have ever had." Stacey cut more off, once her first mouthful was finished, and just got lost in eating the meat first before the salad. She had heard what David had said about his meal, and all she could do was smile, with her mouth full, when David asked how her meal was. Stacey knew she would have to slow down, or she would get indigestion, so that was what she did, after all the steak was gone.
She then put down her knife, and slowly began to get a fork full of the salad. Before she put it into her mouth, she looked up at David. "Yes. I will move in with you."

After the initial teasing about Stacey saying no to his face he had got serious saying that he knew there would probably come a time when there would be a definite no. Stacey smiled at David and said she understood which made him smile back at her. He loved Stacey so much that he hoped that he would never suggest anything that she would say no to, but sometimes you just never can tell until it happens.
When David had let Stacey order her own drink and she’d said she was surprised he hadn’t gone ahead and ordered it, he told her he thought he would let Stacey order her own that time and that she may well have wanted something else. He grinned as Stacey giggled at the face he had pulled and then she told him that he was so silly sometimes and that he would be safe to order her Coke until the baby was born as that’s all she was drinking and would be drinking. “Yes, I am silly sometimes but it just adds to my character and that’s why you love me.” He was teasing her again and winked at her and then chuckled a little. He then added, “But duly noted.”
It was at that point David had asked Stacey to move in with him and soon realised that it might have been a bad question to ask when she said she wasn’t sure and wanted to think about it. Granted she only wanted to think about it over the meal, so David being the gentle guy he is said okay and noticed the small smile she gave him. Looking at her briefly for a second he just wanted to get up and wrap his arms around her and tell her he was sorry for asking so soon and if they could only turn the clock back he wouldn’t have asked it. But they couldn’t turn the clock back and he had asked the question.
Stacey had then gone a little quiet, probably doing some of that thinking already and after a short time she had jumped causing David to look up with concern on his face. However, Stacey soon spoke telling him that it was fine and just the baby kicking. After David responded saying he was worried for a second, Stacey confirmed there was nothing to worry about. David nodded his head and smiled, “Good, I don’t know what I would do if anything happened to either of you.” His words were genuine because he really didn’t know if he could go back to the life he had before Stacey came into it.
Soon enough their meals and drinks had arrived and David watched Stacey get stuck into her steak as he began to eat his own Cajun chicken. Stacey soon spoke saying that it was the best steak she had ever had. David grinned at her, “I’m glad you’re enjoying it Stacey.” David then continued to eat his meal and taking sips of his drink every so often. David had then commented on his meal being good and asked Stacey how she was enjoying her own although he needn’t have asked considering her earlier comments. Stacey just smiled at him and continued to eat, so he took that as a good sign.
David had just taken another mouthful of his meal when Stacey suddenly spoke; since they were both eating he hadn’t expected her to talk. When he heard what she said he wasn’t sure if he’d heard right but he was also so happy about what he’d heard he began to choke on his chicken. He took another few sips of his drink and then swallowed, looking up at her with smiling eyes, and a smile which started off slow and spread into a huge grin. “Sorry, I wasn’t expecting you to answer quite so soon.” He ran his hand through his hair for a second, and then just couldn’t stop grinning; he was like the cat that got the cream. “I’m really pleased to hear that Stacey, you have no idea how happy you’ve just made me and I’ve been sort of busy working on something which I hope will be a lovely surprise.” David then went back to finish his meal which there wasn’t a lot left of, because it had been so delicious he had been getting through it at a fair pace.
After another five minutes the waiter appeared again and asked if they were ready to order any desserts. David nodded his head and then looked at Stacey, “Would you like some dessert honey and if so what would you like?” He wasn’t going to order a dessert for himself if Stacey wasn’t going to have anything, but if she did, he had already chosen to have the lemon cheesecake.
{ooc - sorry if this post doesn't give you much to reply to - it was difficult to write things which wasn't a blatant repeat and the only way it could go forward was for David to ask his other question lol and I felt it was too soon.}

Stacey hadn't meant to make David worried when she had jumped, but really the kicks had scared her, or had just brought her out of her thinking. She had said that there was nothing to worry about, and David then said that that was good, because he didn't know what he woudl do if anything happened to either of them, referring to herself and the baby. Really, Stacey didn't know what she would do without David now. She had learnt a lot over the last six to eight years, and knew for some reason that this might be it for her. David might end up being the one. She reached across, and touched his hand with her own, "I don't know what I would do if anything happened to you."
Once Stacey had eaten all of her steak, she decided to give David her answer, before she got into her salad. She said that she would move in with him, feeling that it was the right answer for her to say. All the thinking that she had done was pointing in that direction, so it felt right. Stacey looked at David, wide-eyed, as she saw him choke. "I'm sorry. I should have said that I was going to give you the answer, instead of surprising you." She went to get up, but saw that he was okay now, after having a drink from his drink. Then she saw that smile, and smiled back brightly. "Sorry. I had to tell you."
Then David said that he was pleased with what she had said, and then mentioned something about working on something that might be a surprise. "I can definately see how happy you are. I knew what I was feeling, but needed the time to think about it. But I think the final thing that confirmed what I was thinking, was the kicks from her." Stacey looked down at her stomache, rubbing at it slightly. "I think she was kicking me to say just get on with it." She giggled a little then, and rested her chin in her hand. "So what is the surprise you have been working on. Or is that a surprise that is meant to be for when I move in now?" She smiled then picked up her glass, taking a few sips of her Coke.
Stacey finally got into her salad, which was just as nice as the steak, though the steak was quite nice. The salad was soon finished, and Stacey sat back in the chair, and sipped on her Coke. Then the waiter came over to their table again, and Stacey smiled, liking the idea of dessert, though really she had dessert that day already. David asked if she wanted any, and she nodded. "Sure, why not? Um, I think I will have the custard tart thanks." Once David said if he wanted any or not, the waiter left, and Stacey sat back again. "So do you have any plans for the weekend? Is it too soon for me to start moving in?"

When David had said to Stacey he didn’t know what he would do if anything happened to either of them, referring to Stacey and the baby he soon felt Stacey’s hand touch his own and she too spoke saying she didn’t know what she would do if anything happened to him. He gave her a warm smile and put his other hand on top of hers, “You don’t have to worry about that, I’m not going anywhere.” Well, he didn’t plan on going anywhere for a long time anyway, he wanted to be a ripe old age before meeting his maker. As they were eating their meals Stacey suddenly spoke answering David’s question about moving in with him, saying that yes she would. David had just taken a mouthful of his meal at that point and with the answer being so unexpectedly quick it made him choke slightly. Stacey’s eyes went wide and then she apologised saying she should have said she was going to give him her answer instead of surprising him. David just shook his head and took a sip of his drink and managed to compose himself, “You don’t have to apologise Stacey.” He smiled at her and Stacey smiled back making David smile all the more. Stacey then apologised again adding she just had to tell him. “Stacey, you don’t have to say sorry.” He repeated and sighed gently but still smiling warmly and added, “I’m glad you told me when you did. I was secretly panicking and nervous as hell at what your answer might have been.” If Stacey had said no he would still be in the relationship with her, but it would make everything he had been working on a waste of time. He had then said how happy she had just made him and happened to mention the surprise he had been working on. Stacey replied saying she could see how happy he was and how she knew what she was feeling but it had taken a couple of kicks from the baby for those feelings to be confirmed. Stacey had then added that she thought the baby was kicking her to tell her just to get on with the answer. David had to chuckle at that. “I’m so happy Miss Potter approves too, that’s definitely a good sign in my book.” David was teasing of course, “But you had a right to think about it Stacey, and I’m sorry if I came over like I was annoyed and upset at you for doing so. It’s your fault anyway for being so stunningly beautiful and making me want to spend as much time with you as possible.” David winked and chuckled again slightly. He may have been joking about blaming her, but the words he used to describe her wasn’t a joke, they were how he truly felt about Stacey. Stacey then rested her chin on her hand and asked David what the surprise was, or was it meant as a surprise for when she moved in. He wasn’t sure if he should tell her or not, part of him wanted to and another part of him wanted it to have more of an impact when she did move in. Then he shrugged, it didn’t really matter, he could tell her, but the impact would hit when she saw it. “I’ve been working on a nursery for our baby girl.” He said giving Stacey a warm smile, referring to Stacey’s baby as ‘their’ and ‘our’ just came so naturally to David now and when he said working on a nursery, he meant by decorating one of his couple of guest bedrooms into a nursery, plus he had bought a couple of things for the nursery too which he was pretty sure Stacey wouldn’t have gotten already. The nursery could then be turned into a child’s bedroom as they got older. They had then continued to finish their meals and soon after the waiter arrived to ask if they wished to order dessert. Stacey asked for the custard tart and David nodded his head and smiled as he looked at the waiter, “Custard tart and lemon cheesecake please.” The waiter took the order and nodded his head before removing their empty dishes from their meals and soon left them alone together once more. He watched as Stacey leaned back in her seat and then she asked a question which he again hadn’t been expecting. Alright, so he had been expecting since she said she would move in with him, he just hadn’t expected it quite so soon. He slowly shook his head, “I’m sorry Stacey, I’ve got plans at the weekend. This stunningly beautiful woman wants to move in and I kind of said it would be alright.” David had managed to keep a straight face while he’d said he was sorry that he had plans, of course he was referring to Stacey moving in. Eventually David began to chuckle, “I’m not doing anything special, I totally have no objections to you moving in at the weekend.” The waiter returned placing their desserts in front of them, he turned to Stacey, “Would madam like some cream or ice-cream with the custard tart?” Once Stacey replied he turned to David, “Would sir like some cream or ice-cream with the cheesecake?” David thought about it for a second and then grinned, “Sure I’ll have some cream thank you.” The waiter carried out the requests and then bowed his head slightly and once more they were alone together. David took a bite of his dessert and couldn’t help but moan slightly at how wonderful it tasted. “Oh my, we are definitely coming here again Stacey.” He laughed a little and then continued to make his way through the rather lavish slice of cheesecake. As he was getting to the end of his slice, the lights around the area where David and Stacey were sitting were dimmed and the song by Elton John called ’Something About The Way You Look Tonight’ began to play. David knew that this was the moment he had to ask his final question, he had arranged for the owner of the restaurant to dim the lights and play that song when they were almost finished their dessert. David looked up at Stacey then with a look of total love on his face, “I know I have thrown a couple of things at you tonight already, but I think I am going to go crazy if I don’t do this soon.” He then got up from his side of the table and made his way round to Stacey and taking her hand in his own he then bent down on one knee taking a small box out from his jacket pocket and flipping it open he showed it to Stacey. “I love you completely with all my heart, will you do me the great honour of becoming my wife Anastacia Potter.” He just hoped that it wasn’t going to be the final question which made Stacey tell him where to go, but somehow given that she told him she didn’t know what she would do without him, he didn’t think he would get that sort of reaction from her. {ooc - Something About The Way You Look Tonight Lyrics }
