 Saturday, 28th November, 2009It had been just over a month since Stefan had surprised the love of his life with a secret wedding in Las Vegas. Neither of them had looked back since and spent a wonderful three week honeymoon in Australia. During the course of the three weeks they had done plenty, taking in a show at the Opera House, Wicked, it was fantastic. They had finally found somewhere who did swimming with dolphins and Stefan’s dream to swim with them came true. He loved it. They were such intelligent creatures, not enough people gave animals credit Stefan thought, and it annoyed him when he heard people say they were just dumb animals. There was nothing dumb about the dolphins and Stefan knew that there were a lot of animals out there, who might not be able to physically talk, but they were most certainly not dumb by any means, they were very clever. They had also visited one of the big zoos and they both got to hold Koalas and get their photo taken holding them. It was actually amazing that they managed to get as much done during their time away because of the amount of time they never left the hotel room. Well come on, they were on their honeymoon after all, not that he and Josephine needed an excuse to make love, the passion was deep within both of them constantly. They were no back home and Stefan asked Jo to move in with him, well he had the bigger house out of both of them, but made sure to tell Jo to bring whatever items she wanted to from her own apartment in order to make his house feel more like home to her. They had been back home now for just under a week and so far there had been no sign of Damon. Not that Stefan was too bothered to be honest; Damon being out of his life was a good thing despite how painful it was for Stefan to actually admit that. He would love nothing more than for him and his brother to be like what they were meant to be, brothers, but sadly it would never happen. Today had been Stefan’s first day back at work and he had just finished his shift and was now making his way home to the love of his life. He had sent Jo a text earlier saying that he would bring home Chinese take-away for their dinner and a bottle of wine for them both. Yes it was true that Stefan needed blood to survive in this human world, but he could also eat and drink like any normal human could also. There was so many different species of vampire out there, not all of them could eat and drink like humans, or they could but refused to do it. Stefan liked to do it because it kept his humanity intact as far as he was concerned. On his way home he stopped in at a florist which was thankfully still open and picked up a bouquet of red roses, it would be a gesture he would do for Josephine every week, every Friday he would bring her home a bouquet of red roses simply because he could and because it was just one of the many ways he could express his undying love for her. Another few minutes using his vampire speed, he was finally at his home and he quickly opened the door, closing it and shouting out for Jo, hoping that she would be home. “Josephine, my love, I am home. I have missed you so much, where is my beautiful wife?” |

It had been a full two weeks since Katherine had found Damon. He was angry at first, thinking that she had just left him like that. But when he found out what actually happened to her, he soon dropped the hatred and his love for her resurfaced. The reunion had gone down well, and had allowed Katherine to regain her strength, also gaining one new vampire for the starting of the covern that they had agreed to start up again. Damon was just in disbelief of what she and the rest of the covern had gone through, and he hoped that the rebuilding of it would start off their new life together being a good one, with many plans to rule the world.
Damon had brought Katherine and Larissa, the new vampire, back to New York, where he hoped they could find Larissa a soul mate. So Damon thought that maybe she could go to university in New York, while she went on the look out for a suitable mate. He was able to find the materials that his ring was made out of, and he was able to glamour a jewellary maker to create a nice pendant for Larissa to wear, so that she could also walk out in the sunlight like himself and Katherine.
Damon also found Stefan. He knew where Josephine had lived, after that little encounter that night. But he knew that he wasn't able to step one foot in this apartment, as Stefan had made Jo uninvite him in. But that didn't stop him from looking on the outside, inside. It seemed that the pair were very much in love with each other, which made Damon roll his eyes, but he couldn't speak as he was madly in love with Katherine. It seemed the pair were inseparable, so he had no clear path to somehow get to Josephine again. So Damon would go every so often, sneaking away from Katherine, even if he sometimes felt like he didn't need to. For all he knew, Katherine knew what he was doing.
So during the week, he had watched Stefan move Josephine's items into his own house, making Damon now know where Stefan lived. Being Saturday, it looked like Stefan had gone to work, leaving Jo on her own in his house. Damon wasn't able to get in, as he hadn't been invited, and he wondered if he could try and get in somehow. He looked around, and soon crept up to the door, looking and then instantly knocked on the door. When a voice was heard, Damon smiled, and waited for the door to open. As soon as he saw Josephine's face, he looked right at her, "You need to let me in... now."
Once Josephine stepped aside, Damon walked in, looking around the place. "Nice place my brother has. Not sure how he is able to afford this, but since he has been around almost as long as I have, I guess it is only inevitable." He sat down, and wondered what would happen next. Then he heard the door open from the entrance. "I guess we have a visitor. One guess." Soon enough Stefan appeared, and Damon gave him a deadly grin. "Hello... brother."

It had been two weeks since Katherine had found Damon and he turned a human into a vampire, a young teenage girl by the name of Larissa. Naturally the girl had to come with them and Katherine was determined to find her a soul mate or for Larissa to hopefully find one by herself. The two weeks since she had been living in the real world again were truly wonderful. She was still adapting to the new way of life after being out of it for ninety plus years, but at least she knew not to stand in the middle of roads anymore and she was now dressed in clothes which were far more suitable to the current period they were living in. She felt that she and Damon were inseparable, but she also knew that they weren’t joined at the hip and sometimes he did go out on his own. Well, he was entitled to do things by himself; he didn’t have to have her with him constantly.
However it was still enough to pique her curiosity and the next time he went out on his own Katherine decided to follow him. She didn’t think for one minute he was seeing another female, whether she be human or vampire because she knew how much Damon loved her, she was just interested to know where he was going and what he was doing. Basically she wanted in on the act of whatever it was he was doing. She soon saw him approach a house and as she watched from a short distance away she soon heard him say to the girl who had answered the door that she was to let him in now. This made Katherine move very fast until she was by his side and she looked at him, “Damon?” She questioned him, and then looked from him to the girl at the door.
Katherine then spoke some more saying, “Damon, who is this and why are you here?” She took a hand and placed it on his face and trailed her finger down it and along his jaw line until it was under his chin, “If you are about to have some fun Damon, I would like very much to be involved.” She said as she looked from Damon back to the girl at the door as she stepped aside to let Damon in. Well that was good, but how would she be able to get in? She needed an invite too; she looked at the girl who was still at the door at this point, “You need to let me in as well.” Whether it would work or not was another matter, but if it didn’t she would just get Damon to glamour or something to let her in. Damon wasn’t going to have fun without her.
Once Katherine was able to get inside too she could feel Stefan immediately, even though at this point she knew he wasn’t in the house, but she knew it was his, she could smell his scent. It was everywhere. After Damon said his piece to the girl, she looked her up and down, taking in everything about her. “So, you are the one Stefan deems worthy of his love?” Katherine asked with a slight sneer, blonde, how wonderful, it made her wonder if she acted like a typical blonde as well, well she must do, she let Damon into the house easy enough. Then Stefan’s scent became much stronger and soon she heard his voice. What he said was making her feel sick to the stomach. Damon greeted him first, but Katherine got in there right after him. “Stefan please, you are making me feel extremely nauseous.”
She immediately made her way over to him and touched his face with her hand, “I see that you have not changed over the years, still as handsome as you always were...” She turned to Damon and gave him a seductive smile, “...just as handsome as my Damon.” Then she turned back to Stefan and sighed, “Really Stefan, a blonde? I thought you could have done much better than that.” She leaned in and whispered into his ear so quietly that even with Damon’s vampire hearing she didn’t think he would hear it, “Like me. You could have had me.” Oh Katherine was very much in love with Damon but it didn’t stop her from having intense feelings for Stefan as well, after all she had turned him as well as Damon, really she had wanted the both of them as her playthings but then Stefan had to become the good guy and spoil it all.

It has been five weeks since Stefan had surprised her with a wedding in Las Vegas. She hadn't gotten any of the signs at all, till it was known to her. Jo didn't need to hesitate, knowing that it was the most romantic gesture from Stefan, and she loved him all the more for doing that. As part of their honeymoon, Stefan and Jo took a three week honeymoon in Australia. In between staying in the hotel most days, they got out and saw the sights. Jo knew that Stefan had been there before, but also knew of things that he wanted to do, so they got to do a lot.
After getting back to New York, Stefan had asked her to move in with him. She again didn't have to hesitate, as the place she was in was only a one bedroom apartment, so it made sense to move in with Stefan. Jo didn't have a lot of her own stuff, as the apartment was almost fully furnished when she moved in. So once all of her things were in Stefan's place, she settled in to live the rest of her life with Stefan, even though she knew that every few years they would have to move on, as neither were going to age one little bit.
Jo didn't want to go back to working behind a bar, so she gave them her notice, and then wondered what she would do. She knew she had plenty of time to think about it, and decided to take another week till she was ready to go and look for work, or see what other options she may have. That day, Stefan had messaged her to tell her that he was going to bring home take-away, and a bottle of wine. The sound of eating that with him, just the two of them made a smile creep onto her face. Yes, she was definately more in love than she had ever been.
Jo looked at her watch, knowing that Stefan would be home any minute, so she headed to their bedroom, quickly running a brush through her hair, and straightening her shirt. There was a knock at the door, and she frowned, wondering who it was. She had told her mum where she was staying now, and wondered if it was her. Jo knew she still had to tell her mum about everything yet, but there was time for that in the next couple of days. Jo soon reached the doorknob, and opened the door, with a smile on her face. But as she saw Damon's face, her eyes grew wide, but then she felt nothing. All she knew she was doing was looking at Damon, and then stepped aside, "You can come in."
As Damon walked in, Jo blinked a bit, then realised what had happened. Her fingers went straight to her neck, and realised that she didn't have her necklace on. Then she noticed the woman who was at the door, and without hesitation started to shut the door, but her eyes diverted to the woman's and heard what she was saying. Once again, Jo stepped aside to let her in also. She then shook her head, seeing that she had let two vampires into their home. Then a waive of panic came over Jo. She hadn't had a panic attack for sometime, ever since that day that Damon had forced his way in. She held onto the door knob as she closed it, breathing, hoping to make the feeling subside.
Damon spoke to her, as he walked in, and then sat down, like he was making himself comfortable, and welcome. Jo looked at Damon, starting to feel the panic start to eat at her, and couldn't say anything in her defence. Then the woman spoke directly at Jo, and still no words escaped Jo's lips. She felt frozon on the spot, meer inches from the two. Then Jo heard Stefan's voice, as he opened and entered the house. She gasped a little, and felt her breath began to quicken, knowing that Stefan would feel what she was feeling. Damon made a comment about them having company, and as Stefan came into view, Damon said hello brother to him.
All Jo could do was look at Stefan, feeling like she was going to pass out. She knew what Damon was capable of, and all the memories from the last encounter come flooding back into her head. Jo slowly collapsed on the floor, sitting there not sure what to say or do, as the woman spoke to Stefan. Then she frowned, still with fear on her face, she could feel it, as she watched the woman go over to Stefan, and touch his face. As she spoke to Stefan, she soon realised who it was in their house. The woman who had turned them both. Katherine.
The way she was talking, and then looking at Damon, Jo wondered what she was doing. Surely Stefan wouldn't fall for her charm, would he? Jo then slowly moved towards the chair opposite the lounge, and sat on it, as the woman questioned Stefan about Jo. Just thinking what might happen was making Jo feel sick. If she lost Stefan to this woman, she would just about kill herself. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and she wanted to fight for her lover, but she just felt useless right at that minute. Her eyes diverted over to Damon, wondering what he was getting out of all of this.

When Stefan had walked into his home and shouting out for Jo asking where his beautiful wife was, he had soon felt a discomfort coming from Jo, it was part of the bond between them that he could sense when she was in danger or upset about something. He didn’t say anything else as he quickly made his way into the living room and was met with his brother Damon and someone he had never hoped to set eyes on again, the woman who turned him, Katherine. He put their meals and roses and bottle of wine down onto the sofa and immediately made his way over to Jo and putting both his hands on her arms looking into her eyes. “Are you alright Josephine my love?” He asked ignoring his brother and Katherine, right now he was more concerned about Jo and wanted to know why she had let Damon in and then he realised she wasn’t wearing her pendant. “Where is your pendant Josephine, I know you sometimes like to take it off, but you should never do that.” He wasn’t angry with her, he was just upset because god knows what may have happened if he hadn’t come home when he had.
He turned to Damon then, “You just cannot learn to leave me alone can you?” And then he turned to look at Katherine, “And you had absolutely no right bringing her here with you.” He didn’t want for Jo to see the woman who had made him what he was because despite everything there was still a slight underlying attraction from Katherine over him, that much was evident, but Stefan was very much in love with Jo and he wasn’t about to let Katherine get into his head. When Katherine said he was making her feel nauseous he glared at her, “Why is that Katherine? I shall tell you shall I? I think it is because you missed your opportunity of being with me, but you could not change for me anymore than I could change for you. I do not love you Katherine; I never did.” Stefan said in a strong voice. However what Stefan had said wasn’t quite the truth. He did have feelings for Katherine all those years ago, but who wouldn’t when a beautiful brunette was kind to you, Stefan had no idea at the time she was playing him off against his brother. Now all Stefan held for Katherine was hate.
Katherine however wasn’t taking what he said as an answer and she approached him and touched his face as she said she could see he was still as handsome as ever adding that he was just as handsome as her Damon. He closed his eyes for a second at the touch of her hand but he soon snapped and swiped it away holding her wrist firmly. She would be unaware of the fact he was much stronger, she would still think he was drinking animal blood to sustain him. Stefan felt his vampire face come out as he held her wrist firmly, “Do not do that again. You do not have the right to touch me like that anymore.” Stefan said in a threatening voice. He then pushed Katherine away from him. Katherine still didn’t stop as he questioned Jo and the fact she was blonde and how he could have done much better and then whispered into his ear saying like me. Stefan felt a growl escape the back of his throat as he pushed her again into the wall of his house, not hard enough to cause damage to the wall but hard enough for Katherine to question his strength.
“You do not get to talk to Josephine like that. You leave her alone.” Stefan said in a growl as he turned to Damon with his full vampire face on, “Why did you come here? Why did either of you come here? You found each other why could that not be enough?” He then made his way over to Jo and wrapped his arms around her knowing that panic might be setting in on her like it did last time Damon came into her home when Stefan wasn’t around. He looked at Damon and glared at him, “If you have upset her, I swear...” He trailed off, he didn’t like feeling such hatred toward his brother, but he knew if anything happened to Jo his patience would be truly tested and he might just be apt to kill Damon. Stefan then used his excessive speed to retrieve Jo’s pendant and immediately put it around her neck so that they could do no more damage with mind games.
