January 16th, 2010Darrius felt his head shift forward a bit before he sat up erect to avoid smacking it on the window. He rubbed his eyes slightly before looking about. Apperantly he had fallen asleep in his bus to Vegas, but it looked as if he would be arriving at his destination pretty soon. Darrius was still trying to find a reason that Chronos had him in this era with practically no direction at all. All the Time God would tell him when he tried asking was, "Live here, in this time and day as you are, and follow your instinct." Well Darrius' instinct was to just try to live like the average young adult lived today, despite looking just about eighteen. So he read some magazines, watched som TV and apperantly Vegas was the sure fire place to go for fun. Darrius just had to find out what all the hype was about, though he had some pros and cons to look over.
He had heard varrying opinions on Vegas, like it was crawling with raunchy women and criminals. No matter though, Darrius had his share of women and could easily handle them. As for criminals, well, they would best steer clear of them. After all, William friggin' Wallace was his, how did the kids say it these days?, homie. And Wallace was human and no one messed with him, so why would they even bother messing with a demi god practically trained by the Scottish Legend? Well, he did have to remind himself that he just looke like a teenaged kid and most couldn't sense powers like he could. As he entered the heart of the city his biggest con came into mind; clumsiness. Whether it was a sidewalk, carpet, stop sign, cupboard, shelf, or a desk Darrius always managed to somehow trip or run into practically anything. If he didn't trip over something or smack into it then something would appear out of nowhere and hit him.
As the bus slowed to a squeaky hault he pushed the pessimistic thoughts away and awaited all of the other passengers to exit. Being squished between two strangers was far from his cup of tea. As they were all up and leaving he got up last. He strapped his Nikon camera around his neck before reaching to the shelf above him and pulling down his electric acoustic guitar. As he secured the strap of the guitar case about his shoulders and back he made his way off the bus. He was thankful that he atleast didn't face plant off of the bus, now just the reast of the city had to look out. Taking in a deep breath he glanced about before choosing a random direction and heading that way.
As he wandered he saw several people in very strange (and by strange he means erotic) outfits, though his experience of multi-culturism didn't make him very prejudice agaisnt really any outfit. Hell, he spent some time in Africa during the late 1800s where he just walked around wearing beads and holding a spear, other than that he was pretty much buck naked; which was about as close as these people were getting. He snapped some random pictures with his camera as he passed by several people and places.
As he was walking down a particular street a small store caught his eye. He looked through the windows, saw old school records as well as CDs and some instruments and walked right in with out a second thought. Ah music, one of the only things keeping him sane anymore. Darrius smiled as he walked through the stores and looked over each CD. He picked up a few but only plugged one in to listen. It was by a fairly new artist of this decade by the name of Dominic Salvatore, and Darrius had to admit that out of the few songs he had heard he liked them. His eyes scanned the CD before selecting a particular song on the little touch screen device and placing the headphones over his ears. Darrius did little movements with his head in a kind of way to dance as the song went on. It was fairly slow in the beginning, and didn't have heavy beats, but Darrius could dance to nearly anything. The song was called Whataya Want From Me? and Darrius could feel a certain connection with it.
He set it to replay before taking the headphones off and pulling out his guitar and looking to the owner. Holding his guitar up by the neck he beckoned the tattooed women's attention. "S'cuse me, would you mind if I played?" "Nah, go ahead sweetie." She said with a smile and wave of her hand. She was pleasant at least, so Darrius smiled before strapping his guitar around his shoulders. After a few minutes of tuning he held one headphone up to his ear with his shoulder before beginning to strum on his guitar to the tune. He had a fine ear and while he hadn't memorized the notes from looking them up he could tell from listening to them.
In a matter of minutes he was playing along with his guitar and singing too, which probably looked and sounded a bit comical given his general style and size. So what if he didn't look like the type of person that would listen to this type of music? He just liked music, and anyone who would argue differently would feel his sparky wrath.

It had been exactly a week since Dominic had been back in Nevada, Laughlin to be precise and had met Stacey his best friend from his days at school. It was almost like time had never parted them, they just seemed to settle back into their old friendship like they had only said goodbye to each other the day before. However it had been a good few years, but he was so happy to have met up with her again. She was pregnant too which had really pleased Dom, he couldn’t wait to have a surrogate niece or nephew to play with and hadn’t given it a second thought to refer to himself as ‘Auntie Dom’.
Today he was in Las Vegas, the neighbouring town to Laughlin where Dom lived. Las Vegas was where his manager Xander Ford stayed and as much as he loved his manager Xan he could be a bit demanding at times and had made it clear that he was to be at this particular record store in Las Vegas because he wanted to make a deal with the store for Dominic to do a record signing there at a later date. Dominic had no problem with doing record signings at stores, he just had a problem when Xander never gave him fair warning about one. He called last night for heaven’s sakes telling him to make sure he was at this store in Las Vegas for noon.
Dominic did as he was told and left Laughlin by car around nine in the morning knowing that on a good day for traffic it could take about two hours to get from Laughlin to Vegas, he didn’t want to wait until ten for leaving knowing if there were any delays in the traffic he would end up late and that would just piss off Xander and Dominic always tried not to piss him off. So he had arrived in plenty of time and soon enough Xander and Dominic had made the deal for him to appear the following month for a record signing at the store. Xander patted Dominic on the back and asked if he wanted to go for a coffee now that the deal had been finalised. He was going to say yes when something caught his attention.
He heard his song ‘Whataya Want From Me’ being played by what sounded like an acoustic guitar and then someone singing along. Dominic couldn’t help but grin, he loved hearing people singing and playing along to his music, it made his day and helped to make him feel good about himself and his music. He excused himself from Xander and told him they could maybe go for a coffee another time saying he had to get back as he had promised to spend some time with Stacey. Okay, so that was a little white lie, but he was fascinated with the person who was singing and playing along to his music.
He began to walk in the general direction of where it was coming from and then just stood behind him for a few seconds admiring what he was hearing, and also admiring the view from behind. The guy was pretty fine looking. Even if Dominic was open about his sexuality he never jumped right in there when it came to guys, because not all of the guys you met were gay, besides for some reason this guy didn’t look gay. Gay guys sometimes just have this look about them. He soon began to give the guy an applause. “Well I have to say darling, that’s the best rendition I’ve ever heard of someone playing and singing along to that song of mine, well done you.” Dominic said grinning as he walked round to face the guy who had been playing and singing. “I would introduce myself, but somehow I don’t think I have to do that.”
That was when Dominic saw him, and his earlier thought about him being pretty fine looking was confirmed ten times over, he was damned hot. He had a fine physique and perfectly toned abs; he was a gay man’s living dream, a dream which would likely never be Dominic’s. A guy this perfect had to be straight, or if not straight, had to have a lover already.

Though Darrius himself didn't have an ego he himself could say that he was doing a pretty good job. In fact he might go far as to say he might be able to compete with the original. The song was almost finished, and he was so into the music he didn't even notice the singular applause until the voice came into play. At hearing a voice directed to him Darrius tilted his head back so the headphones were now just haning around his neck. He was about to turn but the person emerged in front of him and Darrius' brow raised in surprise at first.
He had known famous people in time; warriors, politicians, writers, civil war heroes. Meeting someone like that in this era didn't seem interesting at all, though meeting people who could sing or act just about made all the humans flip their lid. Though Darrius was excited about meeting a musician he didn't go nuts, but the grin on his face showed his excitement. "Ah what can I say? I just love music." He responded to the praise of the celebrity. "Heh, no need at all. I however, go by Castor." Yes, he weny by Castor but it wasn't his name. That whole not being able to lie thing was sometimes easy to get around, but other times it was just a pain.
This would usually be the time that one would reach out their hand to shake the other's, but Darrius wasn't that fond of touching so he didn't make the first move. Luckily he had his guitar in hand and that could at least serve as an excuse as to why he did not move to shake the other's hand. However, something he hadn't exaclty noticed before while being distracted by the music and introductinos, the tingling. He sense that the star wasn't a normal human, and this alone slightly unnerved him. But he couldn't sense that he was incredibly old or powerful, but none-the-less he wasn't an ordinary human which made Darrius keep his guard up.
Despite his slight worry about the other being superhuman and his dislike of being touched, he had a fine view of this person, knew at least a bit of who he was, and if he had any common sense wouldn't try to make any type of move against Darrius in a public place. Darrius was always on guard like this, and generally stuck to the public just in case someone had the odd need to make a scene and attack him. So, feeling that Dominic would probably make the motion to shake hands Darrius went to remove the guitar strap from his shoulders, though forgot about the headphones about his neck.
His arm caught on the cord and the pull made it unplug from the headphones. From the tension and then suddenly being released the cord flung backwards into a shelf of CDs. Darrius flinched and made a slight jump towards the shelf, but being the klutz he was only managed to hit the shelf with his large hands and send all the CDs spilling to the floor. As they clattered to the ground he rubbed his face with both hands before turning to look at the stunned owner. "I can fix that." He said apologetically. At least he had enough cash on him to buy some busted CDs and enough skill to fix a shelf.

After Dominic had complimented the guy on his amazing rendition of his song ‘Whataya Want From Me’ the guy grinned at him and then spoke saying that he just loved music. Dominic grinned back at him, “Well there isn’t anything wrong with that darling.” Dominic replied, not even giving it a second thought that he had just called the guy darling for a second time. That was just Dom though, he called girls sister or sugar and the guys usually got darling, funny that he never thought once about calling a guy brother. Dominic had then said that he didn’t think he would have to introduce himself, and the guy said that there was no need but he went by the name of Castor as he introduced himself to Dominic.
Dominic grinned at him, “Well it’s a pleasure to meet you Castor.” He held his hand out in the hope that he would shake it during the introduction, only because it was the gentlemanly thing to do not because he wanted to touch the obvious hot guy now standing in front of him. After the gesture was made Dom then watched on as Castor made to move the guitar in what Dom could only assume was a bid to free up one of his hands to shake the hand that Dom was now holding out to him. However it hadn’t gone too well and Dom had to bite back laughter as Castor seemed to get himself tangled around the guitar strap and the headphones.
The next thing to happen sort of happened in slow motion to Dom, and yet it all happened too fast for him to be able to do anything about it as the cord from the headphones flew toward the shelf where CD’s were situated. Castor made to catch the cord but instead managed to slam his hand into the shelf and send the CD’s flying. Dominic couldn’t do anything but laugh, he tried to hold it in but the scene was just too funny. He put his hand up to his mouth and giggled furiously like the girl he truly was. He then looked at the owner of the store, “I’m sorry, I just can’t help but laugh.” Castor then said to the owner that he could fix it.
Dominic just shook his head, “Don’t worry about it Castor, I’ve got it.” Dom wasn’t always jumping in with grand gestures, at least not to those he didn’t know well enough, but this guy really had played along to his song and sung it so well that Dominic felt he had to give the guy gratitude for it in some sort of way. “Call it a reward for being so good at playing and singing my song darling.” With that Dominic wrote out a cheque for an amount of money he reckoned would cover the cost of the damage caused by the little mishap. He then handed the cheque over to the owner, “I think this should cover it, and whatever you have left over, put it to the shops funds or charity.” He then turned back to Castor and grinned at him.
“Well, I think you’ve just made my day darling, you have no idea, I hadn’t even wanted to come through here, and my manager is such a damned hard task master. I don’t know about you, but I could do with a drink. What do you say? I could do with having a decent male friend, all of my friends are girls, I don’t know why.” He said and playfully shrugged and then giggled, knowing full well why all of his friends were girls.

Darrius pivoted in his place as Dominic laughed. The Demi-God was generally good humoured, so when Dominic excused himself Darrius simply shrugged. "Eh, go ahead and laughto your heart's delight. I'd be lying if I said I didn't amuse myself with my grand trips sometimes." Darrius had gotten past the embarrassment of being a klutz a few decades ago. Time to time he would feel a bit shameful, but he eventually learned to laugh at himself if the other person laughing wasn't someone he wanted to decapitate with a claymore. Luckily, Dominic turned out to be one of those people so far. But Darrius did raise a slight brow everytime he was called darling; the only person to ever call him darling was his mother or late wife from his time in Scotland.
As Dominic continued to write out a check Darrius rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. As the check was handed over he shook his head a bit. "Again, ma'am, I'm very sorry. Sometimes I just can't keep track of these puppies." He said with a small smile, waving his hands a bit. The woman laughed and waved her hand as if to shoo away a bug. "Oh no it's no problem at all, love, really! It's not everyday I have such adorable boys in my presence. That shelf was falling apart anyways, if nothing you did me a favor." Huh, Darrius was beginning to like this woman.
He turned to Dominic with a smile, as if to thank for covering him. "Ah yeah I know what you mean about the whole over bearing boss. Mine's in my head every five minutes." Chronos had a knack for telepathically speaking to Darrius when he really didn't want to be spoken to. He just hoped Dominic thought he meant something like a cell phone call. As drinks were brought up Darrius shrugged slightly. "Well, I do need a better way to spend the rest of my day than destroying shops. Lemme just grab my things and I'll be right with you." As Darrius packed his guitar away in the case and slung it over his shoulder, he approached Dominic with a crooked smile. "Well, you are a very girly man. I think women these days just like you guys more because they know you're not gonna flirt with them or something."
Darrius stated matter-of-factly as he opened the door up for Dominic. As they walked out onto the street Darrius uncapped the lense cover on his camera and snapped a picture of Dominic when he wasn't looking. "Sorry, I like catching the moment. Smile this time?" He held up his camera, which was about the size of his face, asking for another picture only where Dominic was actually looking his direction. Darrius loved to paint in Greece all the time, and catching a moment in life on canvas forever was a favorite of his. He just liked pictures because sometimes memories faded faster than they did.

When Dom had laughed at the tangled mess Castor found himself in he had quickly apologised saying he couldn’t do anything but laugh. Castor shrugged and told him to laugh away to his hearts delight because he amused himself with his trips. “Well my mom always said if you can laugh at yourself then you have a decent sense of humour, so I guess you must have a decent sense of humour darling.” Dom replied and then wondered if he should ask if Castor minded him calling him darling, it’s just that it was something natural to Dominic and most of the males he did know were used to it. “If my calling you darling offends you or upsets you in any way you must tell me okay? I’m just so used to calling the men that I do know in my life darling that it’s an automatic thing; I keep forgetting new people might not understand.” Dominic explained but giving Castor one of his bright smiles which usually won over the hardest of hearts, male or female.
As Dominic wrote the cheque for the damage caused he could tell that Castor was slightly embarrassed by what had happened and then he apologised to the shop owner again. Dom had to stifle a giggle slightly thinking back to what happened he was still finding it rather funny. The shop owner said that it was fine and mentioned about not having such adorable boys in her presence and then said he had done her a favour. Dominic put his hand up to his mouth, what was it with women? They all just seemed to fall at his feet, “Well thank you sugar, although personally, I think Castor here has the edge on the looks, don’t you think?” He winked at her and then turned to Castor and raised his eyebrows and gave him a bright smile, not really sure why he had just said what he said to the woman other than he had just blatantly told the truth, Dominic thought that Castor was a hunk.
When Castor turned to him and smiled Dominic grinned back and then he spoke saying he understood about the overbearing boss and mentioned that he was in his head every five minutes. Dominic nodded his head, “Yeah, feel like you just don’t get a minute’s peace I bet?” Dominic had no idea what Castor was actually referring to but put it down to his boss phoning him constantly like Xander was always on his back. He loved his manager to bits, but sometimes he just didn’t know when to give him a break. Like the other day when he had just arrived back home and he called almost right away. He sighed to himself and rolled his eyes just thinking about that. Dom had then asked if Castor would like to go for a drink somewhere saying he could do with a male friend as they all seemed to be females, and then made a joke about not knowing why. He was glad when Castor agreed to the drink.
Dominic clapped his hands together in excitement with a grin on his face, “Awesome, I can’t wait to go for a drink with a guy who might end up becoming a good friend.” Well he didn’t want to say boyfriend, because right at this moment in time he had no idea if Castor was straight or gay or even single, but as his earlier thoughts had mentioned someone who looked like Castor did was sure to have someone, gay or straight. Dom seriously needed a good male friend, so maybe Castor could be that guy. He let Castor gather his belongings and then Castor came toward Dom and added that he was a very girlie man and that women like him because they know he isn’t going to flirt with them. Dom thought that over for a second and then laughed a little, “Yeah, maybe you’re right, but last week when I first arrived back after being away for a few months recording, I had them lifting their tops for me to sign their breast, I was like, oh sugar you do know that I’m gay right? And they were like, oh yeah but it doesn’t stop you from being gorgeous.” Dom shook his head as he explained that and then giggled a little again, still loving the attention he always got.
Soon they were on their way to the bar and then out of the corner of his eye Dominic caught Castor taking a photograph of him. Castor then apologised saying he liked catching the moment and would he smile this time. Dominic just grinned at him, “Well I hope you got my best side with that sneaky snap, not that I mind. I can pose for you if you like, I think my complexion has somewhat improved since my time away in Canada, such a cold country that.” Dominic explained and then flamboyantly began to pose for Castor, tilting his head to the side and running his hand through his hair and pouting ever so slightly and then he giggled a little, and stood up straight, and just smiled properly for him to take a second one. “Sorry, I guess you could say the camera just loves me, or maybe it’s me who loves the camera, what do you think darling?” He laughed out loud and another minute or two brought them to the bar. Dominic held the door open for Castor and once they were both inside he turned to him, “Want to get a table or booth somewhere and I’ll get the drinks, what would you like?” He asked smiling at Castor and waiting for a response before he made his way to the barman to order their drinks.

Darrius laughed slightly as Dominic posed, knowing he was joking but took one anyways. Why take a picture if you couldn't even get humor in a photo? Catching things like romance, action, and beauty were wonderful things to take pictures of, but Darrius himself loved to capture humor a lot of the time. He liked to take pictures of anything and everything, and humor wasn't going to stop him and neither were the strange outfits that these people wore. As Dominic resumed a normal pose Darrius focused the camera again. "Ah no biggie, you don't look horrible." He snapped the last pic and then relaxed his shoulders as he moved the camera down to look through pictures he had taken that day. As he was looking through them he spoke up again. "Oh and abou the whole darling thing, it's no problem. I've been called worse."
He didn't mind, he had met plenty of gay guys in his time and they had called him more awkward and unusual names. He knew Dominic was gay, he didn't have to have some kind of Godly sense to know that. Smiling again he followed Dominic to the bar. As he entered he laughted a little. "I think I'll just have a soda. I've only ever had alchohol with Scottish men, and getting drunk once with them is enough to las you a life time, trust me." He said to Dominic with a small smile. He gestured to the booth he was going to snag while Dom ordered the drinks. He slid his guitar in first then slid in next to it. Instrument first, Demi-God second.
Darrius took to looking about, people watching you would say, as he waited for Dominic to return to the booth. He considered telling him he wasn't gay, well at least he was pretty sure he wasn't. Now that Darrius thought about it he had only ever not kissed a guy because the only gay guys he ever met were crazy ravers who just tried to, like, rape him. He leaned forward and rested his hand in his palm in deep thought now. He had a nymph before, and a wife in Scotland when he fought with William Wallace, but all those years and the time he had lived had really let him see things in a new light. If anything he could at least kiss a guy, just to see what it was like. Couldn't really be all that much different than kissing a woman, could it? Man, now he could see what all the drama about sexuality was about, it was just plain confusing!

When Dominic had flamboyantly posed for the camera he had to laugh when Castor laughed also, Dom loved making people laugh, laughing was good for the soul and it could be very contagious, which was the case here, because as Castor laughed a little but took the picture anyway Dominic couldn’t help but laugh some more and then he began to behave and stood up and smiled normally and then Castor took a second photo. Dom had apologised for goofing around and Castor said it was no biggie and added that he didn’t look horrible. Dom grinned at him, “Well thank you.” He wasn’t about to argue the fact, after all plenty of his female fans were always telling him how gorgeous he was, so he decided that there must be some truth in it somewhere.
After he took the second photo Castor began to look through his photos which prompted Dom to say, “So I gather you like photography, I mean like you do it for a hobby or something?” Before he replied to what Dom had asked him though Castor brought up the whole darling thing saying that it was alright and that he had been called worse. Dom put his hand up to his face and looked shocked, “Really? Like what? I mean look at you, who would dare to say anything bad.” Dom shook his head finding it hard to believe, the guy seemed nice enough to Dominic, “And thanks, it’s just something I call guys, I would stop it if it bothered you but would maybe slip up now and then, but thanks for understanding darling.” Dominic grinned then, knowing that he just used the word again and feeling a bit better about it now that he knew Castor didn’t have a problem with it.
When they got into the bar Dom had asked Castor what he could get him to drink and he laughed a little asking for a soda adding that he had only ever drank alcohol with Scottish men and getting drunk once with them was enough. This made Dom raise his eyebrow slightly, “So, you’ve been to Scotland then? Oh my god, you’re so lucky, I’ve never been there, I’ve not really been out of the country yet, but I am sure all of that will happen soon enough.” Right now he was only getting famous in America, but once his CD hit the worldwide market he knew that he would be leaving the country soon enough. “So what kind of soda would you want, just a simple carbonated water, or lemonade, coke or anything else?” Dominic asked and once he replied, Dominic turned to the barman and asked for Castor’s drink along with a fresh orange with lemonade for himself.
Soon enough he looked to where Castor had taken a seat and he was sitting opposite him in a couple of seconds. He handed Castor’s drink to him and then he took a sip of his own. “So, tell me more about Castor, I’m very intrigued to know what makes you tick.” Dominic asked and grinned at him, oh he wasn’t trying to give him the come on or anything, he was just generally interested in finding out more about the guy, especially if there was a chance they might be able to become friends.

When Dom asked what he wanted Darrius glanced over his shoulder. "Ah, just gfab me a coke, no ice please. I hate ice in my drinks." It was true, bit it soda. water, juice or tea if it had ice in it Darrius had to scoop it out with a spoon. If there wasn't a spoon near he'd scoop it out with his fingers, no matter what others thought about it. Not like they were gonna drink it, he could stick his fingers in his soda if he wanted to.
He waited until Dom returend and thanked him for the drink. All earlier questions could now be answered peacefully over a table top and a nice drink. "So, my photography, I love it. Like I said I like capturing the moment, nothing's better than a single moment kept in time on something as simple as a piece of paper." Darrius explained before taking a drink of his soda. He didn't feel the need he had to be all secretive and mysterious if he already knew what could be this person's biggest secret. He knew that Dom was a special human who had some kind of power, maybe even two from what he could tell, but he just didn't know what it was. None-the-less, point was, he knew what he was. Having powers could be one's greatest secret, and Darrius almost felt he was invading his mind and privacy all together by already knowing his biggest secret. So he felt like he was making up for it by telling him about hismelf. "I travel all the time, my boss just tells me where to go and what to do. I publish a lot of my pictures to magazines and stuff, sometimes I might get a call from someone requesting a photo. It's a good job to have because it doesn't limit my travels and at least keeps a roof over my head." Darrius took another drink, letting a small pause just in case Dominic had any questions to throw at him. Darrius set down his glass and then leaned forward, a smile coming over his face as he rested his elbows on the table. "But my real passion is music, as you could probably already tell. I love how it can make people move, sing, do things that they might not do in a normal day. It just seems to bring people together, and the passion put into playing instruments never ceases to fascinate me. That's why I myself take it upon myself to learn to play almost any instrument in any day and age." Darrius' smile stayed in place as he drank down his soda a bit more, remembering the dances that they would have in Greece and the way his mother would move. She could put any man in a trance, she was so graceful any woman was envoius of her.

Dominic grinned at Castor as he asked for a coke but with no ice. He couldn’t help but find it funny because Stacey his best friend was craving ice cold coke right now during her pregnancy. He ordered the drinks for the both of them and made his way to the table that Castor was sitting at and soon handed him over his drink and Castor thanked him which Dom acknowledged by giving Castor a smile and a slight nod of his head. Castor then began to talk about his photography and Dom kept his attention on Castor the whole time he spoke, smiling and nodding his head a few times as he waited for a break in the conversation to say something back to him.
“Photography is a great hobby to have darling, I enjoy taking pictures as well, but obviously I don’t have the time to do it professionally or even as a hobby, too busy pleasing the many fans I have, most of which are women, funny given that it’s a waste for them to love me, male fans however....” Dom said and giggled a little after it. He loved the attention he got but he still found it funny that so many females thought he was gorgeous when as much as he could admit a female was beautiful, he had no interest in them whatsoever.
Castor then continued to talk some more, telling Dom a little bit about himself. When Castor said he travels all the time Dom nodded his head being able to relate to that somewhat, as he had been to a few States since his career took off, and he knew at some point he would be leaving the country and travelling much further away. “You just send your photographs into any magazine, or is there one in particular you physically work for?” Dom asked interested to find out even more about his new found friend. “Where do you actually live then if you don’t mind me asking darling? I mean with travelling a lot, do you have somewhere you class as home?” Dom had only asked this question because he was curious as to whether he would have to use his ability of flight to visit Castor if he wanted to at any time.
Castor then continued to talk speaking of his obvious passion for music. It was obvious because of how he and Castor met earlier. When he finished speaking about how music makes him feel Dominic grinned at him, nodding his head enthusiastically. “That’s exactly how I feel about music, ever since being a young child I’ve always enjoyed singing and dancing along to music. I’m pretty good with instruments too, very musically minded I admit.” Dominic took a sip or two of his drink and then looked at Castor again, “So it’s fair to say that we have one big thing in common.” Then an idea hit Dominic and he began to giggle a little, “Oh my god Castor, I just had the most wonderful idea, I could get you to sing on my next album with me. A guest singer sort of thing, you could play the guitar on it too.” Dom wasn’t sure what Xander would think of this little gem, but he didn’t care to be honest.

As Darrius made small pauses in his mini autobiography about himself he allowed Dominic to ask questions which he answered in said pauses. Dom first asked if there was any specific magazine he worked for, and Darrius only shook his head with a small smile as he swallowed another drink of his soda. "Ah, no. I can't really stay rooted to one it seems. I have gotten repeated requests in the past, though. But mainly I just show off some of my work online and in the papers and eventually a magazine that likes my work will call me and ask me to do something for them." Dominic then asked where Darrius lived, or if he had really any place to classify as a home with his constant travels. Darrius was stunned for a moment and again was finding himself cursing his inability to lie. He loved his mother with all his heart, but did she seriously have to do this to him? It was ridiculous at times.
"Greece." He replied, well more like mumbled, to the home question. He started to speak of his love for music them, hoping it would veer the conversation - which it kind of did. Dominic told of how he loved music since he was a boy and Darrius grinned along with him. "Oh yeah, when I was a kid we would have fires and everyone who could play an instrument would gather and we would play freestyle, never needing a set song to let the music just go through us." Darrius paused to take a peak into his own flashbacks, the fire hot and casting orange glows over their skin in the dark of the night and the strumming of string instruments and beating on the drums filling the air. Nothing had yet come close to that feeling of happiness and release since he started working for Chronos, not even playing music in any other time.
Darrius looked up though, caught off guard when Dom suggested he be a guest singer on an album. He was rather stunned, and it was shown through his slightly dropped jaw and the blank stare on his face. Darrius quickly recovered himself and shook his head slightly. "Um..I dunno..." He began, though it seemed a certain someone had plans other than rejection. ~Take his offer~ The voice of Chronos spoke into his head. Darrius glanced off to the side, as if considering it. Darrius was never one to question Chronos face to face, but he did wonder about his motives at time. Well, as long as doing what Chronos said kept him and his mother safe he never objected.
Finally he looked up and smiled at Dominic. "That would be great! But do you think your boss would let that fly? I mean, I'm a complete stranger who lives off freelance photography and street music."

As Castor spoke more about himself and what he does, Dom had asked if he worked for a specific magazine and Castor initially replied by giving him a small smile and shaking his head and then after taking another sip of his soda he replied to Dom telling him that he couldn’t seem to stay rooted at one even though he’s had repeated requests. He explained it some more with talk of online and newspapers and Dom nodded his head, “I see, so you’re more like freelance then darling?” Dominic asked believing that to be the correct terminology for what Castor was describing he does. Basically calling it freelance was like someone who would work for any newspaper or magazine if they require it of them. It sounded like a good way to earn a living to Dom, keeping you busy and financed without the time constraints of a normal job. Sometimes Dom wished he had a normal job, only because he knew he could spend more time with his best friend Stacey then.
Dominic had then asked where he lived; well the answer he got this time wasn’t one he had expected to hear. He thought if he lived anywhere else other than Nevada, that it would be another State, not another country. Dom’s eyes opened wide, “Really?!” He asked in exclamation, “Well darling, that’s a very long way for me to go to come and visit you; it will surely tire me out flying all that distance.” Dominic giggled a little at what he had just said. Actually Greece wasn’t that far away really, not at the excessive speed Dom could fly anywhere. Dom’s ability of flight was more like a rocket being launched but continually at that break necking speed. “I guess that explains your dark skin colouring then, I mean, not that you’re black, but you definitely have a darker skin tone like me seeing as I have Italian heritage.” Yes, Dominic was your average Italian Stallion.
The conversation soon turned to music, which was a love for both the guys and Dom could tell how much Castor loved his music just by the enthusiasm in his voice when he spoke. Dom sighed a little at what Castor said about sitting around a fire and playing instruments freestyle. “That sounds truly wonderful.” Dom replied as he could just picture a scene like that, just to be able to do what you want when you wanted and not having to answer to anyone like Dom had to now that he had a manager to answer to. However apart from Xander being a bit of a hard task master, he was actually a very good manager and pretty much let Dom do anything he wanted to do unless it was to get time off when Xander wanted him to work on recording his album.
Dominic then suddenly thought of a spontaneous idea and hit Castor with it, asking him to guest sing on a track on his next album. Dom being Dom got himself all excited over the idea and was grinning like the cat that got the cream but when Castor said he didn’t know sounding a little unsure, Dom’s face fell. He was just about to say something when Castor then spoke again saying it would be great but would his boss let it fly. Dominic then done his usual happy thing and clapped his hands together as he grinned, “Oh my god, you will? It will be awesome just you wait and see and don’t worry about Xander, I have him well and truly under my thumb.” Dom said as he winked at Castor and stuck his tongue out to the side as if to say, ‘know what I mean?’ Tomorrow he would get in contact with Xander and tell him straight up about his plan for Castor and Xander would probably just roll his eyes and make some smart ass comment like ‘You and your fancy men.’

Darrius may have fought in a number of wars in a number of times that would drive any man to cold, hard steel, but he wasn't heartless and he wasn't an emotionless killer. Sometimes he had to rid himself of any and all emotion on a battlefield, especially when he was in Scotland wielding a claymore, but he was at least able to keep his sanity in tact. He was pretty sure himself that the only things keeping him sane was music, art, and the occasional visit with his mother back in the Archaic period in Greece. So when he saw Dominic's face fall at the small hint that could lead to a rejection he regretted it.
Darrius was good at reading people, and that wasn't just because of his senses ability either, and he could tell that if he were able to stick around he and Dominic would make great friends, hell even good allies. When he accepted the offer however, just seeing the light return to Dom's face made Darrius smile again. He laughed a little when he mentioned that he had his manager well under his thumb. "Ah, now that I can't relate to at all. My boss is a total hard ass." Darrius joked, though he felt a small ping in the back of his indicating Chronos' annoyance. Darrius ignored it though and smiled to his new found friend. "Well as long as you can talk him into it, I'm all for it! I mean, if I don't get sent somewhere at a bad time, anyways." Darrius made a movement to shrug but his elbow knocked over his cup. The remaining cola spilled all over the front of Darrius and spread over the table, so he was sure some would get on Dominic as well. Reflexively he stood, though his upper body took on a slight battle stance for an instant before he straightened out. The sudden movement and scene drew a few eyes to them, but Darrius was more distracted about being covered in sticky soda at the moment. "If you haven't noticed already, I'm kinda a klutz."
He tried to shake some off his hands, but the feeling of the soda sticking to his skin from his shirt was really unpleasant. If it were warmer and just a bit thicker it would be comparable to the feeling of blood soaking his clothes again. Looking up again Darrius' face contorted into a crooked smile in a comical manner. "Don't have an aneurysm, but I need to strip." If Darrius could recall he had clean clothes in his little bag that hung off the back of his guitar case.

Dom hadn’t meant to show that he was upset by Castor saying he would think about it, but for someone like Dom it was difficult for his feelings not to automatically show all the time. He saw Castor’s smile fade but then suddenly Castor had said that he would love to guest sing on the new album which had then brightened Dom up again and he saw Castor’s smile appear on his face once more. Castor had made a remark about his boss flying with the idea to which Dom had said that he had Xander well under the thumb. He gave Castor a weak smile when he replied saying that he couldn’t relate to that because his boss was a hard ass. “So he’s one of these bosses who make you work all hours of the day then?” Dom asked having no clue as to what Castor was referring to of course.
Castor then spoke some more about Dom’s idea for Castor to guest sing on his next album and he grinned at him, “Yeah, yeah, I’ll be able to talk him around don’t you worry about a thing darling. I’m working on the new album now as it happens, so you might just have to say when you’re free you know?” Dom said and then wrote his mobile number down onto a napkin which was on the table and handed it to Castor, “Here’s my mobile number darling, just give me a call when you think you can be free and I’ll arrange for you to get to the studio. I live in the neighbouring town of Laughlin, but the studio is in Las Vegas.” Dominic was truly excited and happy about the prospect of singing with Castor on the new album.
Castor then shrugged slightly but in doing so he had knocked his glass of Coke over the table, it went everywhere so much as to reach Dominic as well. It wasn’t bad though, just a few spots on his trousers which he quickly wiped down with his hand. But he couldn’t help but giggle at the mess Castor got himself into. “You’ve soaked yourself darling, and Coke is a tough ass stain to get out as well.” Dom remarked his womanly side evident as usual. Castor then spoke saying if he hadn’t noticed already he was kind of a klutz. Dom ran a hand through his hair as he looked up at him and grinned, “I think you could say I noticed that back at the record store darling.” He giggled again and then he watched on as Castor tried to shake some of the liquid off of him.
Soon enough Castor was looking right at Dom and then told him not to have an aneurysm but he needed to strip. Well Dom didn’t know where to look, because he knew that Castor was buff without him taking his clothes off, but Dom wasn’t daft he knew it wouldn’t be pleasant for Castor to walk around with wet clothes on but he’d just be changing his top right? Dom looked at him and waved his hand, “Ah you’re alright darling, I’m not going to jump your bones if that’s what you’re worried about, it’s only your top you’re changing anyway right?” Dom asked not sure whether the liquid had gone all over Castor’s trousers or just his top. However a friendship had been forged between Castor and Dom first and foremost, so Dom would behave regardless.

Darrius chuckled slightly as Dominic assumed he was one of those hard bosses that had Darrius working all the time. "Oh 24/7 my friend." He confirmed. It was then that Dominic offered over his cell number and Darrius gladly excepted, and shortly after the shrug, and the soda fiasco. Darrius was more astounded by his clumsiness everyday than by the things he could do with a claymore or a standard hunting knife. It was just plain weird, to put it simply, very weird.
As Darrius told Dominic not to have an aneurysm he waved his hand and told him not to worry, asking if it was only his shirt he was changing. "Um.." He lifted the hem of his shirt to check if any had gotten on his pants. There was a little on his belt, but nothing to worry about at all. "Yeah just my shirt, which luckily, I have spares of." Darrius picked up his guitar case, and camera and looked around. "Where's the damn restroom in this place?" He asked himself aloud. Spotting it he beckoned Dom to follow him as he made his way through the small crowd. It was a bit troublesome getting through with the guitar case on his back and camera in hand, but he certainly wasn't going to leave them behind.
Entering the bathroom he was a little relieved to see it was empty. Setting the guitar and camera down he unzipped the small bag hanging from his guitar case and pulled out a clean Hurley shirt that was black with grey and darker grey checker patterns on it. Darrius quickly pulled off his shirt, and in doing so was a bit disguted to see so much soda still clinging to his skin. Grimacing a bit he dropped the shirt in the sink and turned the water on to wash the soda out and grabbed a hand towel, soaked it, and began wiping away the soda from his stomach and sides.
As Darrius cleaned himself up he was ignorant to the visibility of the number of scars that covered his body. Sure he had some on his arms, but as time went on they became less noticeable. But you couldn't kill someone by gashing their arm, which is why larger and more noticeable scars were seen on his abdomen, the largest being from a battle in Scotland with Wallace that spanned half his ribcage. Giving himself another look over as he dropped the rag in the sink he looked up to Dominic. "Did I get it all?" He was sure that he might have missed some on his sides, but at least he had Dom to tell him if he had.
