After Sam thanked Dominic for his comments, he had then said that if he needed to be somewhere he would understand, thanking Dominic for coming to see if he was okay. Dominic shook his head at Sam, and said that he didn't have to be anywhere right now, if he wanted to talk, he could listen. Sam swallowed, then nodded a little, not sure what to say. He had told Dominic basically what had happened in a nutshell, not in great detail. But he knew he would eventually open up more, when he was ready.
After Sam had blushed, as he had been looking for a long while at Dominic, he then turned back, and apologised. The small smile that Dominic had given hadn't gone unnoticed, and Sam allowed a small smile creep onto his lips. He then made a comment on Dominic's eyes, how they were nice. Dominic smiled a bit more, and Sam just looked at him, with the same expression, not putting much effort in, as he was still feeling a little down. Sam did notice Dominic looking his face over, and he wondered what he was thinking about him. Again smacking his brain for thinking like that.
Dominic then replied to what Sam said about his eyes, and swallowed a little, when he commented, saying that he was thinking the same thing about him. Sam licked his lips abit, and looked at Dominic. Now what was he to say to that. It seemed to Sam that they were both hitting on each other all of a sudden, especially with the compliments. But Sam knew he had started it with the whole thing saying how Dominic's eyes looked nice. Dominic then commented on the fact that Sam already knew his name, and was there any chance for him to give Dominic his name, to put to the handsome face of his. Sam felt his eyes light up, and smile a bit more. He was starting to calm down now, and felt a bit better.
Sam extended his hand, "Samuel Carhill. Really nice to meet you finally Dominic." Then he decided to add what others call him, "Or Sam. Whatever people feel comfortable with." Sam shrugged a little, feeling like he was rambling a bit. He did that when he got a little nervous, or that is what happened when he had spoke to Joel for the first time. Sam closed his eyes, willing that memory of the first meeting with Joel to leave his head forever. He then opened his eyes. "Sorry, bad memory. Now where were we?"

When Dominic had told the guy that he didnât have to be anywhere and he would listen if he wanted to talk the guy just nodded his head a little but didnât say anything else. Dom wasnât about to push him though because if it was painful and he didnât want to relive it, well why should Dominic force him to do so? However the caring and compassionate side of Dominic was very dominant right now and he just wanted to put his arms around the guy and tell him to just let it all out and yet not one to be too forward and pushy he decided to hold back not wanting to scare the guy away, after all they didnât really know each other yet.
Then the guy seemed to get a little lost as he stared at Dominic somewhat looking into his eyes and because this guy was doing that Dominic felt it difficult to tear his eyes away from him, but then the guy blushed and turned away which had made Dominic smile a little. When the guy turned back and said he had nice eyes Dominic had smiled some more and thanked him for the compliment and the guy smiled back at Dominic. Then Dominic had decided to tell him he was thinking the same thing about him wondering what kind of reaction he may or may not have gotten.
Dom then caught him licking his lips a little but didnât really say anything and Dominic then wondered if maybe he shouldnât have said anything but it was too late to take it back now. Instead he pushed on a little by saying that he knew his name and could he get a name to the handsome face of the guy he was suddenly finding himself slightly attracted to. This seemed to have the right effect as Dominic watched the guys eyes brighten up a little and then he smiled some more and then extended his hand and gave Dominic his name. Dom took his hand and gently held it while shaking it slightly as Sam had then continued to see it was really nice to meet him finally. Dom replied with a smile, âLikewise.â
Then Sam said that he could call him Sam, whatever people felt comfortable with, Dominic could understand that since Stacey called him Dom most of the time not that it bothered him as he referred to himself as Dom sometimes as well, âOkay then darling, I might call you Sam although I do love the name Samuel if Iâm honest, or maybe Iâll just call you my Prince.â Dom said giving him a brighter smile and then playfully nudged him a little trying to bring a bit more light onto the obvious dark time Sam was feeling and now Dom was wishing he hadnât played that song but then if he hadnât then he wouldnât be sitting here talking to him now.
Dom then soon caught Sam close his eyes and Dom wondered if he was thinking about his previous relationship again and his heart went out to him, knowing how hurtful it could be because of his own last relationship which had ended rather badly. Sam apologised again saying something about a bad memory and asking where they were. Dom put his arm around Sam again, âHey, itâs alright darling, Iâve been there and know what itâs like and I always promised myself if I ever found someone else again who I could love dearly I would never do to them what they did to me. You just donât hurt people you love.â Dom said in a slightly sad voice going back to his own memory of his troubled past relationship, one which he had been in before his American Idol days and then snapped out of it knowing that getting down about his own past wasnât going to help Sam get over his.
âMy friends call me Dom so you can do the same if you want.â He offered and then decided that they could probably do with going somewhere more comfortable to talk than sitting on the ground against a tree. So Dominic scrambled up onto his feet and then put his two hands out for Sam to take and when he did he gently pulled him up off the ground. âAnd as for where were we, I was about to say that I hardly think this is the best place for a decent conversation so if you donât mind could I take you back to my place where it will be more private and more comfortable and I can get you something to drink and maybe get us something to eat if youâre hungry at all?â Dom didnât make any moves toward his car though until he was sure that Sam was okay with his suggestion because maybe it was a little forward of him to invite him back to his home but Dom just couldnât stop his heart from reaching out to Sam.
{ooc - yeah I think I managed to get something from your post somehow lol}

When Sam said that it was nice to finally meet him, Dominic had said likewise, smiling at him. Sam couldn't help but smile back, liking his smile also, along with his gorgeous blue eyes. After he had gone on about people calling him Sam as well, Dominic said okay, saying he might call him Sam, although he did love the name Samuel if he was honest. When he added that he will just call him Prince, Sam didn't know where to look, then felt Dominic nudge into him, which made him look up. That smile got him again, and he snickered, then laughed a little.
It was at that instance of him thinking about how he rambled when he got nervous, that he thought about the first meeting he had had with Joel, and how he was with him. Sam soon apologised, and asked where were they. He then relaxed a bit when Dominic put an arm around him, and saying it was alright, that he had been there, knowing what it's like. Sam then listened to the last thing he said: You just don't hurt people you love. Sam quickly turned to face Dom more. "Your right. I need to stop mopping around." He felt determination began to brim to the surface, feeling a lot stronger now.
Then Dom said that his friends called him Dom, so Sam could do the same if he wanted. Sam smiled, "Sure, why not." He sighed a little, looking out at where the concert had been, and seeing that the stage and chairs were starting to be put away. Sam felt like his life might be turning around. A gorgeous music star was listening to his problems somewhat, and it was making him feel like he could now do anything. At the beginning he thought that coming here was going to be a disaster, but now it was turning out better than he had thought.
Sam then noticed Dom getting up off the ground, which made him frown a little. But he saw Dom hold his hands out for him to take, in order to get up. So Sam took his hands, and got up off the ground. He let go of Dom's hands, and brushed at the bum of his pants to get any grass and what not off them. Dom then said that this was where they were, stating that he was about to say that he hardly thought this was the place for a decent conversation. He added if Sam didn't mind, he could take him back to his place where it was more private. Sam knew he had no where to go at this point in time, and the idea of Dom being a superstar wasn't even in his head. He saw him as a normal guy doing a job, a good job at that. It surely wouldn't hurt to go back to his place.
"Sure. I'd like that." Sam gave him a bright smile. "And actually I am hungry. I don't know when I last ate." He looked around, then saw that there were a bunch of cars nearby, thinking that one of them might be Dom's. "Lead the way, Dom," Sam said, as he picked up his bag, placing it over his shoulder.

When Dominic had said to Sam that he may call him Sam but honestly liked the name Samuel and then said or maybe he would just call him âmy Princeâ, he wondered if he had said the wrong thing as he watched Samâs reaction, it was like he didnât know where to look but then Dominic had playfully nudged him and he saw Sam look up and then he saw that slight snicker and then he laughed a little and Dominic grinned brightly. âNow thatâs more like it.â Dom said and then pointed at his lips then added, âYou should do that more often, you have the most wonderful smile darling, it lights you up and it brings out all your other features a whole lot more.â He gave Sam a rather seductive smile. Then added in his thoughts, like your cheekbones and perfect jaw line and those eyes, then Dom mentally slapped himself for thinking like that but honestly couldnât deny the attraction he felt building toward Sam. Then another sad moment seemed to come over Sam and he had soon apologised mentioning a bad memory, well this just made Dom put his arm around Sam again and told him that it was alright and added that he had been there and knew what it was like and finished with saying you just donât hurt people you love. Sam then turned to face Dom and he looked at him, really looked at him with nothing but care and concern over his face and when Sam spoke saying he was right and that he needed to stop moping around Dominic gave Sam a warmer smile. âYes darling, I rather think you do, leave the past where it belongs and look forward to the future, because you know I believe that there is someone out there for everyone, itâs just that for some of us it takes us a bit a longer to find our true soul mate.â Dominic sighed thinking back again to his own past messy relationship and then had to mentally laugh at himself, why tell Sam to leave the past where it belongs and look to the future when he was delving into his own past right now. Dominic had then told Sam that his friends call him Dom and that he was welcome to do the same thing if he wanted and Sam smiled at Dom saying sure why not and Dominic smiled even more brightly and then he heard Sam sigh as looked out at where the concert had been and Dom followed his gaze seeing that everything was almost cleared away now. He then side glanced to Sam and once again wondered if there was a chance that this could be the start of something beautiful for the both of them or if Sam was just going to be a fan who was in dire need of friendship which Dominic would gladly give but somewhere inside he wanted to give Sam so much more. Dominic wanted someone in his life he could love and yes he had Stace and Ebony and David and even his own family, but for all that he still needed that someone special, that someone Dom could turn to in his hour of need rather than people turning to him despite not having a problem with that. Dominic then scrambled up off the ground holding both his hands out to help Sam up off the ground which he took and Dominic felt an immediate tingle run through him at the contact of their skin touching and without even realising he had done it his thumbs brushed the back of Samâs hands slightly but once Sam was on his feet he let go of Dominicâs hands and Dom then followed Samâs move as he too wiped at his pants to clear away anything which may have been attached from where they had been sitting. Dom had then spoken to Sam about taking him back to his place for more privacy and comfort adding that he could get him a drink and something to eat if he was hungry. Dom had then waited for Sam to answer before making any moves toward his car not sure if he had maybe been too forward with him or not. Thankfully Sam replied saying he would like that and gave Dominic a bright smile, at least brighter than any he had given Dom since he had started talking to him at any rate and Dom then replied, âAwesome darling.â And gave Sam a bright smile of his own and then Sam added that he was hungry stating that he didnât know when he ate last. This just made Dominic smile all the more, âWell then, you have two options darling, I can cook for you Italian style, or we stop and get some take-away from somewhere, anywhere you want, so whatâs it going to be my Prince?â Dom asked and flashed Sam another huge smile as he pouted slightly waiting on Sam replying to him. Then Sam told Dom to lead the way which made Dom smile and reply with, âSure thing darling.â Dominic then walked toward a red Toyota Prius Convertible which the top was down on at the moment due to the fact the weather was always usually rather pleasant no matter the time of the year. He then stopped as he pushed the button on his key fob to switch the alarm off and unlock the doors, âHere we go darling.â Dom then jumped into the driverâs side putting his seatbelt over and once Sam had done the same thing he headed in the general direction of his rather luxurious house which would only take them about fifteen minutes.

After Sam snickered a little at the name 'my prince' that Dom had said, Dom saw it, looking at Sam, and grinned at him. Sam sighed a little, and smiling back at Dom, listened to what he said next. He was definately feeling a lot more better, and nodded a little. "Okay then. And thanks. I have been told that, in regards to my smile." Sam then wondered what other features that Dom saw prominant when he smiled. He was sure that there would be plenty of time to find out, maybe. Sam didn't want to get ahead of himself, but he was definately feeling comfortable with him, there was no doubt about that.
After the sad moment had passed, Sam had pretty much said, out loud, that Dom was right, and he needed to stop moping around. He nodded more as Dom said what he said next. Hearing the last couple of things Dom said, about him believing that there is someone out there for everyone, and that it just takes some of us a bit longer to find our true soul mate, Sam felt that it was true also. He looked at Dom, looking into those gorgeous eyes of his, definately feeling it was true. "I have to strongly agree. I feel that I have wandered this Earth long enough to find that person, and I want them now." He swallowed then, hoping that he hadn't been forward in his thoughts, but he had been getting sick of not finding them, thinking that Joel might have been the one.
After Dom had helped Sam up off the ground, he had dusted his pants off, seeing Dom do it also. Dom then asked if he could take him back to his place. Sam felt that it couldn't hurt, as he was seeing Dom as a normal person, not a star like he was. So he agreed. Sam smiled at Dom, as he said 'awesome darling', but then added that he was hungry, and didn't know when the last time was that he ate. Sam smiled, kind of smirked a little, as Dom smiled more at him, and then rattled off some options for Sam to consider. Sam took in everything that Dom said, and then tilted his head a little, thinking a bit of what he would want. Sam's mind then wandered towards Dom calling him 'my Prince'. If he was honest with himself, he was liking that nickname a little. Sam didn't think that he was one, but if Dom liked the name, then he wasn't going to knock it back. Now he felt that he had to think of a nickname for him also, despite not being in a relationship with him. He actually had this urge to give him a name.
He soon snapped out of the thought, and went to answer Dom, without much thought. "Why not have Italian back at your place. Sounds nice to my taste buds." Sam gave him a warm smile, and licked his lips a little, feeling like he could definately eat anything right now. But the idea of Dom cooking sounded very nice. So once the answer was out, Sam had told him to lead the way to his car, as he picked up his bag, placing it over his shoulder. They soon reached his car, and Sam raised his eyebrows. "Nice car you have. Very nice." He smiled at Dom, then waited for him to unlock it. Soon enough he was in the passenger side, and loved the feel of the car. Sam instantly put his seatbelt on, and then turned to Dom. "Thanks for before. I'm not sure how I would have gone if you hadn't stopped to see if I was okay. I think I would still be there till dark." He gave Dom a warm smile, then turned to look out the front as they headed towards Dom's place.

{ooc - had to change the type of car Dom has, just realised after taking a good look at the other lol that it was only a driver/passenger seater - so he now has a Toyota Prius - he needs a backseat for Ebony's baby seat lol} When Dominic had pointed to Samâs lips saying that he should do that more often referring to his smile because it was lighting Sam up and bringing out his other features more Sam replied saying okay then and added that he had been told that about his smile. Dom smiled warmly at him, âWell they were right.â He wanted to tell him what other features his smile was bringing out but held it back not wanting to get too forward with Sam so soon. He had been flirting enough as it was and he wasnât sure he should have been what with the guy not long coming out of a relationship and then there was his lifestyle to consider. Even after his talks with Stacey about it all, and talking it over with David, he still had the nagging doubt at the back of his head that nobody would put up with the lifestyle he would have. Although he had often said that if he did get so involved with someone he would take them with him but then would realise that wouldnât work if his partner had a job he had to be at home for. After Dominic had spoken about their being someone out there for everyone but it just took some longer than others to find their true soul mate he saw Sam turn to him and once more Dom found his eyes locking with Samâs and then he spoke saying that he strongly agreed and had wandered the Earth long enough to find that person and how he wanted them now. Dominic wasnât sure if he was just meaning it general about wanting his true soul mate now or if he was indeed referring to Dominic. Not that it would have been a bad thing, but Dom didnât want to put his foot in it or be big headed enough to think that Samuel was talking about him so replied saying, âWell darling Iâve spoken to my best girl about this often enough and you know Iâm not getting any younger, so I hope I find mine soon enough.â Then in a more quiet voice he added, âMaybe I already have.â Then Dom felt like kicking himself wondering if Sam would have heard him say that additional bit because that was a definite come on and quite possibly way too forward and way too soon. Dominic found he couldnât stop smiling as he and Sam continued to spend time together and talk, not that you often found Dom doing anything else but smile unless he was very upset about something thinking back to when he thought he was going to lose Stacey, he was far from smiling then in fact he was a complete wreck, but thankfully that all turned out well and not only did Dominic have his best girl back, he had his mini best girl in Ebony and a brother in David. To be honest Domâs life was pretty much complete, if he could just find love then he was pretty certain that he would be the happiest man on the planet, well, at least until he became a father and then he truly would be the happiest man on the planet. When Sam had said he didnât know when he last ate Dom had got a little excited and began to rattle off a couple of options for Sam and he caught him smirking at him and Dom bit on his bottom lip a little and then giggled, âSorry, I sometimes get a bit over excited about things.â Then it looked to Dom like Sam was thinking over the options he had given him as he tilted his head and as Dom sort of pouted slightly waiting for Sam to answer him he began to take Sam in properly as his eyes sort of roamed over Samâs body and he began to smile at the possibility that Sam could become his soul mate, he seemed like such a sweet and kind guy and he was handsome with a gorgeous smile that just brought out all of those other features and Dom just had this feeling that Sam would have an awesome body as well if looking at him with his clothes on was anything to go on. When Sam answered about having Italian back at his place Domâs eyes lit up and he grinned and then he clapped his hands together in a rather excited way, âYay, I get to show off my cooking skills and in case you didnât know Italian is my speciality.â Although that probably wouldnât be too much of a surprise to Sam what with Dominic being from Italian heritage and if he was a fan Sam was probably bound to know that about him. He then began to wonder what he should make, but he could discuss that once he got them back to his place. He had then walked toward his car with Sam following behind and soon enough he had turned the alarm off and unlocked the car saying here we go darling. Sam said he had a nice car adding that it was very nice. âWhy thank you darling, powder blue Prius donât you know, and that sketch of Jeff Dunham with his puppet Walter just cracks me up, because well Iâm gay and have a powder blue Prius. It just makes me giggle so much wondering what Walter would think of me if he ever saw me.â Dom said laughing some more. It was moments like this that often made people realise that Dominic was a human being too who loved every day things just like most normal people. He loved being in the music industry and loved performing and singing, but he definitely didnât like a lot of the hype that went with it. Like people assuming that just because he was a celebrity that he would be a complete jack ass and treat people like shit, but Dominic wasnât like that, he was probably the most unselfish person around, always sharing what he could with who he could. He was always giving money to charities and of course he had set up for half the royalties of the sale of his double A single for Ebony into a trust fund for her. So when people automatically tarred him with the same brush as other divas he hated it. Soon enough they were both in the car and Dominic had began to drive them in the direction of his house when Sam had then spoken thanking him for before. Dom side glanced to him briefly and smiled warmly, âThatâs alright darling, I saw that you had walked off during my last song and couldnât stand the thought that it had upset you, I couldnât have ignored you when I saw you and I am glad I didnât, I donât like the idea that you would still have been there when it got dark.â Dom then flipped the cd player on and one of his songs from his first album was playing, not that Dom was big up on himself but he often listened to his own music purely for the fact of wondering if he could change anything or better the song slightly during live performances. The song which was playing was called âIf I Canât Have You.â{Disclaimer - Song belongs to the Bee Gee's performed by Adam Lambert - borrowing it for my character, I do not own the rights to the song or lyrics}

{ooc - I was thinking how he could put the baby capsule in there - but thought that he might have had two cars lol}
After Sam had basically said that he had had enough of walking the Earth to find that person, and wanted them now, Dom replied, saying about talking to his friend, Sam guessed, and he nodded when Dom said that he wasn't getting any younger. Sam then smiled when Dom added at the end that he hoped that he would find his soon enough. Without thinking, Sam had put a hand on Dom's arm, "I am sure you will, what with you being a pretty good singer and all. What I get from you is that you are definately a genuine person. Who wouldn't want that?" Me, thought Sam, someone who is just as genuine as you.
Sam didn't think he was making fun of Dom, when he smirked as he rattled off options for him to think about, but then Dom said 'sorry'. "It's okay. I get that way about other things, don't worry." Sam then thought about what he would prefer, then told him that he would like Italian back at Dom's place. He found himself chuckling to himself as Dom's face lit up like a Christmas tree. Sam was finding it rather cute. When Dom said that if Sam didn't know, Italian was his speciality. Sam nodded, "I know. I think I have read pretty much everything on the net. Though some things not so good." Sam gave Dom a weak smile, knowing that some of it was just down right wrong, and because he was also gay, Sam always felt down after reading what some reporters posted about Dom on the internet.
They finally got to Dom's car, and Sam commented on Dom's car. He gave him a smile, when Dom spoke of it, and Sam burst out laughing, when Dom mentioned the Jeff and Walter sketch. "Oh my God, that sketch was so funny. I just..." Sam couldn't stop laughing, but started to calm down somewhat, wiping a tear or two from his eyes. "Sorry, I did love that." Once Sam was finally calm, he got in, placing his seatbelt on, and then turned to Dom, thanking him for coming over to him before. When he had given Dom the warm smile, Dom said it was alright, and that he had seen him walk off during his last song, and couldn't stand the thought of it upsetting him. Sam smiled a bit more, nodding, then turned to face the front of the car.
Sam watched Dom put the cd player on, and he couldn't believe his luck that one of his songs was playing. He moved forward in his seat to listen, and then turned to Dom. "I don't want to sound too much like a fan girl or anything, but this was a great song for you to see on Idol. All the songs that you sang really showed your range." He sat back, and sighed as he listened to the song. Sam side glanced at Dom, wondering what might become of this new found friendship. Would he ever be as lucky as to get someone like Dom as a partner? Sam then thought of himself, wondering if anyone like him would ever go for him? All he was was a high school teacher, who just happened to have a brilliant mind, due to his ability.

{ooc - never thought he could have had two cars, but I like the powder blue Prius, what with the humour behind it and all lol} When Dominic had spoken about finding his soul mate saying he hoped that he would find his soon enough and had said in a quieter voice that maybe he already had found them which he had hoped Sam hadnât heard he felt Sam put his hand on his arm and Dominic looked down at it sitting there and couldnât help but let a small smile spread over his face at the feel of it and then Sam spoke making Dominic smile all the more at what he said about him being a pretty good singer and that he was a genuine person and who wouldnât want that. Dominic gave Sam a weak smile not that he wanted to bring things down after all he was trying to lift Samâs spirits not for it to turn the other way around but his past lover had made it pretty clearly known that he didnât want what Dom had to offer. He sighed and then looked away from Sam as his mind drifted back to that time once more. Then without looking back at him he spoke, âMaybe, I donât know Sam, Simon didnât.â Simon was Dominicâs last sexual partner whom Dom thought he was going to spend the rest of his life with, but then a mutual friend had put Dom forward for American Idol and Simon didnât like the lifestyle that Dom was getting thrown into saying that he wanted Dom at home all the time and what did he know what Dom was getting up to while he was away at these shows performing, that he could have been getting up to all sorts with anybody while he was there. It was this attitude from Simon which had resulted in the song âWhataya Want From Me?â because Dominic felt like he couldnât do anything right for Simon in the end. A stray tear fell from Dominicâs eye then and had to cough a couple of times and messily wiped at the tear and then turned back to Sam, âSorry, Iâm supposed to be cheering you up, not doing a very good job of it suddenly am I darling?â Dom had to laugh a little then at how absurd it was for him to have told Sam to move on while he was once again delving into his own messy past. When Dom had apologised about getting excited over the options for having something to eat Sam said it was okay and that he got like that about other things. This made Dominic smile and then wonder what kind of things got Sam excited, in fact he wanted to know everything about Sam as he was getting more and more attracted to him and yet he was still trying to hold himself back because it may have been a while since he had been in a relationship but for Sam he hadnât long came out of one, it would be different for him. Then Sam had said he would prefer Italian at his place which had made Dominicâs face light up and he had then made the comment about Italian being his speciality as if Sam wouldnât have already known that about him. He saw Sam nod and then commented that he knew and that he had pretty much read everything on the net although some stuff not so good and Dom saw that weak smile on his face. Dominic gave him a brighter one back, âYeah, but we all have to face bad press as well as good, and I learned to take it on the chin. I just donât get how some people can be so homophobic, but really the most important people in my life donât give a shit and thatâs all I care about darling.â The most important people in his life being his family, his additional family of Stacey and David and his manager Xander and maybe Sam might become part of those important people soon enough, even if he just became a friend although with the growing attraction that Dom was feeling toward Sam he was hoping they would have more than friendship. Dominic then decided to add, âAnd not that I want to be big headed about it, but look how far Iâve come while the winner just sort of disappeared, so despite the bad press I must be doing something right donât you think my Prince?â Dominic asked and flashed him a bright smile feeling better that he had moved on from thinking about his own past, although if Sam were to ask about it, he would tell him as it would seem that maybe they would be good for each other. When they had reached Domâs car and he had made the comment about the Jeff Dunham sketch with Walter and the whole powder blue Prius thing he saw Sam crack up also, which made Dom giggle all the more feeling good that he had managed to make Sam laugh about it. Sam then tried to comment on it between his laughing saying that he loved that sketch, âI know, I mean that kind of teasing about gays I can take, itâs the hard knock gay bashing which infuriates me, itâs like hey, you donât know me so what gives you the right to say things like that. But when I saw that car and the salesman told me that the official colour name was Powder Blue I cracked it and said I just had to have it. One of these days Walter is going to pop up in the back of my car and look out the window going âHmm gaaaaayâ.â Dominic said and went into another fit of giggles. Then Sam had continued to laugh so much that Dom could see tears in his eyes and then he apologised saying that he did love that. Dom shook his head as he grinned, âNo need to apologise darling, I find it hilarious myself, is that something we have in common then, a mutual love for Jeff Dunham?â Dom would love that, sitting in his house and playing one of his Jeff Dunham dvdâs and having a good laugh. Soon enough they were both in the car and after Sam had thanked Dom for coming to see if he was alright he had answered saying that he couldnât have left him there knowing that his song had upset him, and Sam nodded his head giving him another smile. Then Dominic had turned on the cd player and his song from his first album âIf I Canât Have Youâ was playing, it was one of the songs from his live performances on American Idol he had truly loved and wanted to record it for his debut album. Dom side glanced to see Sam shift in his seat slightly and then he spoke to him saying he didnât want to sound like a fan girl or anything but that song was great to see him doing on the show Idol and all the songs had shown his vocal range off. âThanks darling, and you donât sound like a fan girl or anything, you just sound like a guy who truly likes my music and voice and I canât say anything bad about that now can I?â Dom said and smiled at him as he watched Sam sit back in the passenger seat and sighed slightly it made Dom wonder what Sam was thinking about, wondering if the same thoughts were going through his head which had been going through Domâs ever since he had picked up on the fact that Sam was indeed gay like him. Dominic desperately wanted someone who would love him for him and not be spooked by his lifestyle, but could a guy like Sam really fall for a guy like him. Dominic glanced toward Sam again and knew that he could definitely fall for him; in fact maybe he already was to a degree. He then turned back to the road and concentrated on the driving. Ten minutes later Dominic pulled into the driveway of his rather luxurious house and stopped the car and then turned to Sam with a smile, âWell weâre here darling.â He then turned the engine off which also turned off the music and stepped out, once Sam was out he locked the doors and flipped the alarm on. âFollow me, I sometimes prefer to use the back entrance for getting inside than the front, donât ask me why.â Dominic giggled a little, really it was probably to do with his OCD, not that he didnât use the front door, he did but he preferred the back door because he got to see his beautiful garden and swimming pool. View of the house from the back with the pool. View of the garden with his Italian Cherub Fountain. He reached the door and turned the key in the lock and opened up the glass patio doors into the conservatory which then lead into the living room. âSit anywhere you like, Iâm just going to get us a drink and then Iâll make a start on dinner. Anything in particular youâd like to drink my Prince?â Dom asked as he took his jacket off and hung it up on the coat hook in the hallway. {ooc - 1605 words, sorry lol - also I may have referred to Dom having won American Idol in 2008 in some posts, but his history on the app says he came in second, so I'm going with that. Just have to ignore any posts where I've said he's won, and don't know which posts I may have said it, sorry.}

After Sam commented on Dom as a person, Dom gave him a weak smile. He hoped he hadn't been too forward, but he was telling Dom the truth, which he always told. Then Sam saw Dom turn away, then reply. Sam let out a bit of a breath, and ran a hand through his hair. It seemed that they had some history between them, and he knew that they were going to be a good old pair for now, wallowing in their sorrows. Sam went to say something, when Dom wiped at his eye, which made Sam give Dom a gentle squeeze of his arm. He shook his head as Dom apologised. "It's okay. At least we will now put those past experiences behind us I guess."
After Sam had said that he had read pretty much everything on the net, although there was some stuff not so good, Dom commented. Sam had to agree with what he was saying. "Well don't have that many close friends now, but back in college the ones I had always stood up for me when others made harsh remarks. Sometimes I feel that others are still thinking about my lifestyle. I need to really, really stop that. I shouldn't care what others think, even though my family was never the same when they found out that I was gay, though that was a while ago now." Dominic then spoke more, comparing himself to the winner of Idol to him, who only came second. "I reckon so. I preferred you over him anyway, and it had nothing to do with the fact that you were gay." Sam then smirked, "But it might have had a little bit to do with it." It always helped when you had some connection with the person you liked on those shows.
Sam almost wet himself with the whole Jeff Dunham sketch remark, in regards to the car. When he finally got out that he loved that sketch, Dom commented more on it. Sam burst out laughing, right at the end of what Dom said. He finally calmed down, after laughing so hard, that he had tears in his eyes, and when he apologised, Dom said not to. But then he asked if a common interest was a love of Jeff Dunham. "Um, never really watched his stuff, had caught the whole 'gay' thing on YouTube sadly. Though found it very funny." Sam gave him a smile, "But I do love a good funny movie, though love going to the movies in general." So there was one thing that Dom now knew about him.
They soon got in the car, and one of Dom's songs came into play on the cd player. Sam had made a comment about the song, and Dom then replied, saying that he didn't sound like a fan girl, just a guy who truly likes his music and voice. "Okay. Glad that I sound like a normal guy, somewhat." He laughed a little, then continued to listen to the song, and whatever else came up on the cd.
After about ten minutes, Dom got them to his place. He had seen images of the front of it on the internet, but seeing it up close was just mind blowing. As Sam stepped out of the car, his eyes didn't leave the house, just taking in every inch of it, and almost left his bag in the car. He kept standing there, and almost missed what Dom said. "Okay." Sam followed Dom to where he was going, and soon was hit with the backyard, or more so what Sam instantly thought of, 'the garden of Eden'. "Wow," was all he got out, when he saw the garden. He looked at Dom wide-eyed. "I had read about the garden, but really, seeing it in all its glory is just... I can't describe it right now."
Then Dom led them to the door, and he unlocked it. Soon enough, Sam was ushered through to the lounge room, where Dom suggested he sit wherever he wanted. Then he asked if he wanted anything in particular to drink. "Coffee would be nice, if that is okay?" Sam wasn't sure what to have, but that was his favourite drink in all the world. But he always made sure that he only had a couple of cups a day, or he would be bouncing off the walls.

{ooc - I am so sorry about the size of this post Mel, I've gone through it seeing if there's anything I can take out, but really it wouldn't make much sense if I started ripping it apart in places. I will try not to make them as big as this again.}
Dominic hadnât meant to delve into his past, but it was just so easy to do when Sam had said who wouldnât want someone who was a genuine person. He had looked away from Sam then saying he didnât know because Simon didnât. He hadnât gone into any sort of explanation about who Simon was but he knew that Sam would realise that he was talking about a past relationship which had gone seriously wrong. When Dominic realised that he shouldnât be getting upset when he was supposed to be cheering up Sam he had wiped at his eye and he felt Sam gently squeeze his arm and he had then turned to look at where Samâs hand was again and once more thoughts went through his head of what it would be like to have someone like Sam in his life, because it would seem that he was as genuine and sensitive as he was.
He had then apologised because he was supposed to be cheering up Sam. He saw Sam shake his head and then say it was okay and that they would now put their past experiences behind them. This made Dominic move his gaze from looking at Samâs hand to Samâs eyes and locked his eyes with his. âYes we will put them behind us and maybe move on from it together.â Dom didnât even realise he had said the word together until it was too late and then he immediately wondered what Sam would think of what he had said, but the attraction for Dominic toward Sam just continued to grow. He then had to avert his eyes, because he was so close to just moving in and kissing Sam but still didnât want to push things, it wouldnât be fair for Sam who wasnât long out of a relationship.
After the comments Sam had made about the bad press he had read about Dominic on the internet, he had then said that he had to learn to take it on the chin because you always get bad press with good. Sam then spoke about not having many close friends now but back at college he had friends who always stood up for him. Dominic just nodded his head in acknowledgement to what Sam was saying waiting until he was finished speaking before saying anything. When he added that he had to stop thinking about what others thought of his lifestyle even if his family was never the same with him after it. This made Dominic put his hand on Sam this time and give his arm a gentle squeeze, âIâm sorry to hear that about your family darling, I couldnât begin to think what it would have been like for me if my family had disowned me. Turns out that by the time I told them my mum just laughed and said I wondered when you were going to say, weâve known for ages, personally I think it was the whole stealing my sisterâs eyeliner which done it.â Dom laughed a little then and then went back to what Sam had said about not having many close friends now.
âWell, I know I have a pretty hectic lifestyle and not a lot of partners would want to put up with that from me, in fact that was the problem with Simon, but anyway, you can count me as a friend if you want, youâll just have to understand that I may have to go away every so often, but know that I would always be in contact with you.â Dominic wanted to be so much more than friends with Samuel, but it wasnât his call, Sam was the one who hadnât long came out of a relationship and Dominic wasnât about to push the issue anymore than he had already done with his earlier sentence about moving on together, basically he respected Samuel too much for that.
When Dominic had then made the comment about having done better coming second than the winner had so that he had to be doing something right, and he had to smile brightly at Samâs response as he said he reckoned so and preferred him to the other one anyway. This just made Dominic smile all the more to the extent of grinning and then Sam added that it had nothing to do with the fact he was gay and then Dominic caught that smirk of Samâs which made Dom bite down on his bottom lip slightly loving that smirk of his and then he said that maybe it did a little. âWell, either way Iâm glad you preferred me over the winner and I am really glad I stopped to see how you were doing because I am enjoying your company and I rather think you are a good person to keep around.â Then Dominic realised what he had said and swallowed a couple of times but saying it had come so easily and naturally, it wasnât like he was trying to come onto Samuel, everything was just rolling off the tongue with ease.
Then they had begun to talk about the Jeff Dunham sketch over the car and when Dominic had made the comment about Walter appearing in his car and looking out the window going âhmm gaaaayâ he had went into another fit of giggles which was only enhanced when he saw Sam laugh along with him just as much. Dominic was laughing so much is stomach was aching and he only ever did that with one other person, and that was Stacey. They always had such good laughs together, it was rather refreshing to be laughing this hard with a guy even though he would always love his best girl and want to spend as much time with her as possible, but everyone needed their special someone and Dom was no different. The whole thing had led to Dominic asking if they shared a mutual love for Jeff Dunham.
When Sam replied saying he hadnât really watched his stuff but had caught the âgayâ thing on YouTube but had found it funny, Dom then replied saying, âOh well, maybe we should sit and watch one of my Jeff Dunham dvdâs sometime then, because he has a few amazing puppets one of my favourites other than Walter and the whole Prius thing is Achmed the Dead Terrorist, he is so funny. Honestly.â Dominic then went into adopting the voice of Achmed and used one of his common phrases, âSilence! Silence, Iâll keeeell you, silence, Iâll keeeell yooooou, seriously, cracks me up.â Dominic then went into another fit of giggles, yes he loved Jeff Dunham. Sam had then made a comment about enjoying a good funny movie but loved going to the movies in general. Dominic gave Sam another bright smile.
âWell what do you know my Prince, I just love going to the movies too darling, I also have a passion for musicals, love going to the theatre to watch a good stage musical, although thatâs probably the musician in me, who knows. But it does mean that we might have to just make a date for a movie sometime.â Dominic replied giving Samuel a huge grin not bothering about the fact that he had used the word date, after all he spoke of going on movie dates with Stacey, thatâs just what you called it when you were going somewhere on a set day and time. It was nice to get to know a little bit about Sam he thought and now Sam knew that little bit more about him too, unless he had read it on the internet that he enjoyed going to the movies and musical theatre.
Once they were inside the infamous car and Dominic told Samuel that he didnât sound like a fan girl, just a guy who liked his music and voice he had to smile when Sam replied saying he was glad that he sounded like a normal guy somewhat and laughed a little. Dom turned to him slightly, still being careful with his driving, âWhatever do you mean by somewhat normal darling? The way I see it as I look at you, you are a whole lot normal. Normal, genuine, kind, caring, sensitive and loving, Iâve been able to tell that about you from the moment we began to talk, to me thatâs as normal as you can get and I love it.â Dom replied to Sam telling him the complete truth as to how he saw it, he wasnât trying to butter him up at all, he was being completely and utterly honest with Sam like Dominic always was.
Soon enough Dominic had arrived at his house and as he stepped out of the car and spoke about going round the back entrance he had noticed that Sam was sort of just standing and staring at his house and Dom couldnât help but smile a little. âI take it that you are a bit taken aback with being at my house? Just remember that underneath it all Iâm just a normal guy like you Sam.â He began to laugh a little then and began to head round to the back of his house and turned to make sure that Sam was indeed following him which he was.
Once they were at the back of his house he caught Sam being in awe all over again and Dominic couldnât help but smile. He then saw Sam going wide eyed and then made the comment about reading about the garden but seeing in its glory was just but then said he couldnât describe it right then. Dom grinned at him, âI do love my garden I admit, I love sitting out on the patio or in the conservatory just looking out at it, Iâll let you share it with me for now my Prince.â Dom said and then to himself he said it could be your garden too if you wanted, than sighed deeply into himself with relief at knowing that those words had stayed inside and hadnât slipped out without thinking because really what would Sam think if he heard Dominic talking like that so soon. âMaybe after dinner I can get the camera out and take some photos of you in the garden that you can then take home and keep if you wish.â
Once they were inside Dominic had asked if there was anything in particular he wanted to drink and Sam replied saying a coffee would be nice if that was alright. Dom replied with a warm smile, âCoffee is fine darling, Iâll just put the machine on and have it to you in a few minutes, I think Iâll have a coffee myself.â He switched the machine on and then went back out into the main lounge room area and then sat down on the sofa. âSo, Italian for dinner, what would you prefer my Prince, so I know what to prepare, macaroni cheese, spaghetti bolognaise, lasagne, simple pasta mixed in some tomato sauce with ham thrown in or chicken for that matter? Or is there something else you might prefer, I donât mind either way darling.â He wasnât sure if maybe Samâs preference would be pizza or not and he wouldnât mind making one of those from scratch but he felt that it was a bit of a well, casual meal to make.

After Sam made the comment that they would now put their past experiences behind them, Dom looked at Sam, which made him just stare into Dom's eyes. He then said that they will put them behind them, and maybe move on from it together. Sam wondered what Dom meant, and then decided to reply. "Sure." He watched Dom look away, wondering what the message was behind what he said. For Sam, it seemed like maybe Dom was thinking about them as a couple, even though Sam would love nothing more. But he had just moved on from a relationship two days previous, and he didn't know if he was ready to officially date anyone at that minute.
Sam had then spoken about how his family was never the same again after he had come out himself. Just thinking of that day that it all went to shit, made him feel sad again, and when Dom put his hand on him, giving his arm a gentle squeeze, Sam looked at Dom. He gave Dom a half smile, hearing what his mum said and did. "Glad that it worked out for you then." He then fiddled with the grass on the ground, "I just wish that my dad had been understanding, you know? I know if I have kids, I would be supportive no matter what." Sam licked his lips a little, then sighed, wondering if that would ever happen to him, since he would never be with a woman, as he loved men more than anything.
Dom then responded to what Sam had said about not having close friends, and nodded at what he said. "I think you should be supportive of whatever your partner wants to do. I guess my ex-partner, Joel, didn't like that we weren't living in the same state anymore, what with me moving to Las Vegas to do teaching at their high school." Sam shrugged then, "But what can you do when you want to move on with your career, and teach somewhere different, when you are offered a new job placement? I love teaching, and if moving is what I had to do to get another job, then why would I knock it back?" Thinking about what Dom had said about always being in contact with him, made him smile. So it seemed that he would now have someone who was in the entertainment industry who was willing to be his friend.
After Sam had made the comment of loving him over the other person who won, and him being gay had nothing to do with it, Sam saw that smile, then grin on Dom's face. Then Sam added, after giving off a smirk, that maybe it did a little. Dom replied, saying that he was glad that Sam preferred him, and that he was glad that he stopped to see how he was going. Hearing Dom say that he was enjoying Sam's company, and that he though that he was a good person to keep around, made Sam smile. "Thanks. I think I am good enough too." Where did that come from you idiot, thought Sam. Why was he saying this stuff, when he should be at home now just sitting and doing nothing. But then he knew he would never have met Dominic, and things wouldn't be looking up for him right now.
After Sam said that he hadn't watched any Jeff Dunham stuff, but had caught the video on YouTube, Dom made the suggestion of maybe watching one of his dvd's sometime. After Dom rattled off a couple of the puppets that Jeff uses, he then imitated the voice of one. Sam thought it was funny, and laughed a little, but it seemed to him that Dom loved them, so he knew he should sit through one of the dvd's with him to see the facination. Sam then added that he loved going to the movies, loving the funny movies. Dom then gave Sam a bright smile, and commented that he loved going to the movies too. Hearing about his passion for musicals, made Sam nod. Then Dom made a suggestion that they might have to make a date for a movie sometime. Sam couldn't see the harm in that, "Sounds like a plan. I knew about the musicals, and I love them too. Though still love a good laugh, especially rom com's. God, I haven't watched Notting Hill in so long. That movie was pure class." Sam had to laugh, thinking of the one part of the movie that he loved more than anything, the one scene that come him every time he watched it.
Sam shook his head, wondering if the whole adding the word 'somewhat' at the end of what he said was wrong. But then Sam heard what Dom said in acknowledgement of what he was obviously seeing in Sam. For some reason what he was saying was really hitting home, and he sighed, trying to hold his emotions at bay. He was feeling quite special at that moment, and the feelings that he felt for Dom now was starting to get stronger. Sam knew in his head that he shouldn't be rushing into anything right now, but his heart was definately telling him a different story. He looked down at his hands, as he started fiddling with his shirt. "Thanks. It's been a while since I have heard some of those words said to me." Sam then slowly turned to look at Dom, and gave him a weak smile.
Soon enough they were at Dom's house, and as Sam got out of the car, he was just standing there, taking in his house. He soon heard Dom talk to him, and he snapped out of his thoughts, "Maybe just a little." He then nodded, "And I know that. You have already shown me that when you came up to me after the concert." Sam smiled back at Dom, and followed him through the side entrance, which soon saw led to his backyard. It was more of a garden spectacular more like it, as Sam was taking in every single aspect of it. He made the comment about reading about the garden on the net, but seeing it like it is now, he had no words to describe it. Dom then replied, saying that he did love his garden, and sitting out on the patio or in the conservatory, just looking at it. Sam just instantly grinned at Dom, when he said that he would let Sam share it with him for now. But then Sam looked out on the garden, folding his arms, slightly shaking his head in what he was still seeing.
When Dom made the suggestion of after dinner, getting his camera out, and take some pictures of Sam in the garden, then take them home and keep if he wished. Sam thought, there would be nothing more that I would love to do to take those pictures home. "I am all for that S... Dom." He couldn't believe what he was about to call Dom. He had only been with him for a little while, and already he was going to call him Sweetie. Sam just wanted to smack himself in the head for going to say that.
Once they were inside, Sam said that he would like coffee to drink if that was alright, after Dom asked what he wanted. Sam nodded, when Dom said that he would go and put the machine on, and said that he might have one also. As Dom did that, Sam looked around the room, just taking in everything that was in the lounge area. It seemed to Sam that he had everything that he had ever wanted, what with his own salary not being much, he had to watch his money. But now being single, he didn't have to spend money all the time. All he had to ever get was groceries, and pay the bills, that was it. Not much else you could do, unless you had friends or had a partner to share things with.
Soon enough, Dom came back, sitting down, and asked him what he would prefer for dinner. Sam listened to the possibilities that Dom gave him, and then he knew what he wanted. "Spaghetti bolognaise sounds good to me. But I have to warn you, I am allergic to nuts, so no nuts in anything for me. Though the weird thing for me is that I am not allergic to normal peanuts. Is that just silly or what?" Sam shook his head, and waited to hear what Dom had to say about that little bit of information. Really, if he ate a nut, it was pretty much life threatening. Sam then patted Dom's knee absentmindedly, "But don't worry, I always carry my Epi Pen with me that will save my life."

Dominic still couldnât believe that he had said they could move on from their past together. It was too soon to have spoken like that so openly and yet he knew there was this growing attraction toward Samuel which didnât seem to be dying down. How could it all be happening so quickly other than that fact that Dominic had been wanting someone special in his life for so long since his break up with Simon. Sam replied to what he had said by saying sure and as Dominic kept his eyes away from looking at Sam he couldnât help but allow a small smile to come over his face, so maybe these growing feelings werenât all one sided after all, but still, he didnât want to throw himself at Sam, it just wouldnât be fair on either of them.
When Sam had spoken of telling his family about his sexuality not working too well for him Dominic had immediately put his hand on Samâs arm and gave it a gentle squeeze, however Dom had then gone on to say that his family had taken it all surprisingly well and immediately regretted saying anything when Sam got downhearted again saying that he was glad it had worked out for him. Dominic wanted to reach out to Sam more than anything, but with them both only having just met he didnât know what would be acceptable or not. Sam had then added that he wished his dad had been supportive and added that if he had kids he would be supportive no matter what. Dominic couldnât hold back this time as he put his arm around Samâs shoulders and pulled him into a gentle hug.
Dominic then sighed gently, âI canât begin to imagine what it was like for you darling, really, but you know something, I just know that my mom and dad would love you.â Dominic said and then immediately swallowed and bit down on his bottom lip again slightly realising that he had probably let his mouth run away with him again, although somewhere deep inside he was hoping what he had said might just be enough to make Sam smile a little. And what he had said about his mom and dad loving Sam was true; they would treat him like another son, because they had done that with Liandaâs man Karl from the moment she brought him home to meet them. It was the Italian in them, they are all for family.
âAs for being supportive of your kids if you had any, well thatâs the only thing my mom had a go at me about for being this way, missing out on the opportunity of me making her a grandmother, but Iâve had ideas about that and with my financial status I know I could more than afford it, I would just have to ask my mom or sister to help me with the idea.â Dominic really didnât know why he had just said all of that to Sam and he was probably wondering what the hell Dominic was going on about. But it was something he had been thinking about over the past couple of months knowing how broody he was. He had wanted to share the experience with a partner but he was so broody that he would be quite willing to do it as a single father if necessary, even if it did mean cutting his career down somewhat, which he would do whether he was a single father or not.
When Dominic had made the comment about having a hectic lifestyle and not a lot of partners would put up with it adding that thatâs what happened with Simon he had give a small smile as Sam replied saying that you should be supportive of whatever your partner wants to do. Sam had then gone on to speak more about his own job and having to move to a different State and that he guessed thatâs what his ex-partner Joel didnât like. Dominic nodded his head in complete understanding as Sam finished talking, âWell our careers often give us difficult decisions to make, but I am totally with you darling, why should you have knocked it back? You have to do what makes you happy and if your partner canât be happy for you then maybe you arenât meant to be. I guess in a way I should be happy that Simon left me; I dare say weâd have done nothing but argue now. I need someone who can understand what I do and to have trust in me to know that I would never have fun with another man while I was away because you just wouldnât do that to someone you love and thatâs what Simon thought I was doing while I was on the show, I can tell you it hurt like hell.â Now it would seem that Dominic was pouring his heart out to Sam but it really was so easy to talk to him about it all. Even Stacey only found out about it the previous week, the topic had just never risen any sooner and Dom felt as if she had enough to worry about when they had first met again what with her being so far into her pregnancy at the time.
After Dominicâs comment about being glad he stopped to ask if Sam was okay and that he was enjoying his company and thought he was a good person to have around Dom had to giggle slightly at Samâs response when he thanked him and added that he thought he was good enough too. He then gave him a bright smile, âOh, I more than agree with that my darling.â He replied and winked at Sam pouting his lips slightly and then breaking into another smile as he playfully nudged into Sam again loving the way that they seemed to be bouncing off of each other.
When Dominic spoke more about Jeff Dunham and his puppets and then proceeded to copy the Achmed Dead Terrorist one he had giggled after it saying that it seriously cracked him up and he had to smile a little as Sam laughed at his imitation. Hopefully if Sam ever agreed to watch one of his Jeff Dunham dvdâs he would find it as funny as Dom did and if not, well you couldnât agree on everything. The conversation had then gone into movies and Sam said he enjoyed a good funny movie. Dom had then replied saying he loved the movies himself and maybe they should make a date to go to a movie sometime. When Sam replied saying it sounded like a plan Dom smiled brightly at him taking a mental note to remember to get back to Sam about a movie date sometime in the near future. Sam then spoke about loving a good laugh and that rom comâs were the best.
Dominicâs face lit up again then what with his own love or rom comâs especially Love Actually, but then Sam mentioned Notting Hill which was another one of Dominicâs favourites. He touched Samâs arm gently, âOh my god arenât rom comâs just the best? I totally love the movie Love Actually but I have to admit Notting Hill is amazing, I love the bit where Julia is standing there in front of Hugh and goes âIâm just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love herâ, oh god, it gets me every time. I want to say âIâm just a boy standing in front of a boy asking him to love himâ but Iâve never found the right guy to say that to...â Dominic trailed off and side glanced to Sam before finishing with â...yet!â But had wanted to say âuntil nowâ but decided against it, maybe he could use it sometime later if there was a chance that he could see Sam again.
When Dominic had said some nice things about what he saw in Sam he hadnât meant to make him feel awkward he was only telling the truth how he saw it. He watched as Sam fiddled with his shirt and then he thanked him adding that it had been a while since he had heard some of those words being said to him. This made Domâs heart wrench slightly as he glanced at Sam again, how could nobody look at him and not think what Dominic thought about him, in Domâs eyes Sam was pretty much perfect, perfect for Dom. He then coughed mentally shaking the thoughts from his head and then smiled warmly at Sam as he gave him a weak smile, âWell my Prince you should have those things said to you, you should have them said to you all the time darling because itâs true and Iâll gladly be the person who phones you ever day or texts you every day just to say all of that to you.â Dom smiled warmly at him again and then gave him another wink.
Once they had reached Dominicâs place he had seen how Sam was staring at his house and he had asked Sam if he was a little taken aback by his house and then added that he was just a normal guy underneath it all. Dom had to smile brightly at Samâs response to him about being a normal guy when he said that Dom had shown him that by coming up to him after the concert. He smiled at Sam then, âWell I couldnât just leave you, like I said before.â Maybe any other star would have just left without going up to Sam, but Dominic wasnât your average typical pop star, he had standards and he was more than aware that he wouldnât be where he was today without his fans. They had then both made their way toward the back of the house where it would seem that Sam was now in awe of his garden. When Dom said he would let Sam share it for now he saw that grin on Samâs face which just made Dom give one of his own.
Dominic then made a suggestion about getting his camera out after dinner and taking some photos of Sam in the garden which he could take home and keep. Dom couldnât help but grin when Sam said he was all for it, but wondered what he was going to say when he almost said a word beginning with s, and he knew that it wasnât his ex-partnerâs name because that began with a j but he decided to put it to the back of his mind, âAwesome darling, Iâll make sure I take some really good ones of you.â Well that wouldnât be difficult what with you being so god damned handsome thought Dominic and then pouted his lips a little and grinned.
Once they were inside and it was established that Sam would like a coffee and Dom had put the machine on for the coffee he then went into the living room area and sat on the sofa asking Sam what he would like him to make for their dinner listing off a few things and then added if there was something else he might prefer. Sam then answered saying that spaghetti bolognaise sounded good to him but he had to warn him he was allergic to nuts but he was alright with normal peanuts. That was strange because usually when a person was allergic to nuts they were allergic full stop even down to just the smell of a nut and he also knew it could be a very bad thing.
Dom gave him a reassuring smile, âOh donât worry about that darling I donât put nuts into my meals, I donât mind nibbling on the salted or dry roasted peanuts, but I canât stand any of those other special nuts, cashews and what not.â Dom then giggled a little, âAlright, spaghetti bolognaise it is then.â He added giving Sam a warm smile and then Sam spoke more about his allergy adding that Dom wasnât to worry as he patted at his knee and Dom immediately looked down at his hand there as Sam said that he always had his Epi Pen with him that would save his life.
Dominic then absentmindedly took Samâs hand that was patting his knee and held it in his own while his thumb brushed the back of it and not even realising what he was doing and gave Sam a warm and loving smile, âWell thatâs good, because I donât think I want to lose you anytime too soon.â Then he realised what he was doing and he let go of Samâs hand and bit down on his bottom lip and looked at Sam, âIâm sorry.â He really didnât know what else he could say or do, everything was moving fast, even for Dominic and he seriously didnât want to scare Sam off with being too forward too soon. He then stood up, âIâll uhm, just go get the coffee now.â

After Sam had mentioned the fact that he wished his dad had been supportive, and if he had kids he would be supportive no matter what, he felt Dom put his arm around his shoulders, hugging him. Sam felt himself sigh a little, then without thinking, put his hand on top of Dom's hand. He didn't know what to say, but really that feel of reassurance from Dom made him feel a little better. Then Dom spoke, saying that he couldn't imagine what it was like for him, adding that he just knew that his mum and dad would love Sam. A small smile crept onto his lips, and then he turned to face Dom. "Thanks. Maybe they could tell my folks to stop hasselling me then." Even now, his dad would make some remark, which would just make Sam feel really depressed.
Dom then made a comment about what Sam said about kids. He listened to what he said, and he nodded. Maybe that was half his parents problem as well. The fact that he wouldn't have kids, since his partners would always be male, not female. Sam wondered what Dom was going on about, with having an idea of what he could do about having kids. Sam turned slightly to look more at Dom. "You might have to tell me about that later. Your idea, I mean." If Dom had a way of having kids, then he would be all ears later, when he was in a better frame of mind.
After Sam had practically spilled his guts about his situation he had been in with his job, Dom seemed to understand completely about where he was coming from. Sam had an idea that he would, what with his own career and moving around a lot. He nodded, when Dom said that why should he have knocked back the work. Sam then listened to what Dom said about his own situation, and then nodded, when Dom explained that he would need someone who could understand what he did and to have trust in him. "Maybe that is the way Joel felt then, thinking that maybe I was going to find someone in the teaching staff that I was attracted to. That last time we were together did feel very different. Maybe it was for the best that we broke up. And I am totally there with you about things hurting." Sam gave him a weak smile, wondering if this was something that was meant to be. He was meant to hear that song, leading him to meet Dom, who he felt like was just a normal person who was such a good listener and talker.
When the talk of movies came up, and Sam mentioned that he loved a good laugh, and that rom com's were the best, he saw Dom's face light up. Then Sam said that he hadn't watched Notting Hill in so long, and that it was pure class, and Dom touched Sam's arm, which he looked down at for a second, then looked back up at Dom as he spoke. Sam smiled at Dom, nodding a few times in agreement, and then put his hand up to his mouth, as Dom recited the line that Julia Roberts says to Hugh Grant. Then Dom changed the words, and Sam grinned, looking down at the ground, so knowing what he meant. Though Dom didn't finish his sentence straight away, which made Sam look at him again, then he said 'yet'. "Now that would be something that any guy would want to hear. But I love the part where Hugh is trying to climb the fence and keeps saying 'Whoopsie daisies'. I burst out laughing each time he says it. It sounds so funny and cute when he says it in his English accent." Sam sighed a little, laughing to himself.
Sam had thanked Dom for what he had said, and then said that it had been a while since he had heard some of those words said to him. He stopped fiddling with his shirt, as Dom coughed then added that Sam should have those things said to him, having them said to him all the time because it was true. When Dom added that he would gladly be the person who phones Sam every day or texted him every day just to say all of that to him, Sam sighed a little, then looked at Dom. "Well, I won't lie to you. It might be nice for you to do that." Sam's heart started to beat a bit faster for a few seconds, thinking about how he would be when he got a call or a text, hearing or seeing those words said to him. It would definately be a good pick-me-up in the morning.
Sam was loving the interaction between him and Dom, and was feeling totally at ease with him, despite feeling that he had to pull the reigns in somewhat sometimes, just in case he did something drastic. Sam was never like that, normally with someone new he tried to just get to know them, not want to instantly jump their bones. In this case, he had a couple of times wanted to just take Dom in his arms, just holding him close to him, but he thought better of it. When Dom had made the suggestion of bringing out his camera later to take pictures of Sam in the garden, Sam had jumped at the chance. Though Sam couldn't believe that he was about call Dom 'sweetie' of all things. He was lucky that he had caught himself to stop from saying it, and instantly added Dom's name in replace of it. Dom didn't seem to question what he was going to say, and said he would make sure that he took some really good ones of him. Sam gave him a bright smile, "Great."
Once the coffee machine was on, Dom asked Sam what he wanted for dinner, and Sam mentioned that spaghetti bolognaise sounded good. Though Sam decided to add the thing about his nut allergy, except that he wasn't allergic to normal peanuts. When Dom said that he didn't have to worry about that, as he didn't put nuts in his meals, Sam smiled back, as Dom added that spaghetti bolognaise it was, "Good. Thanks for that."
Sam had then spoken more about his allergy to Dom, patting his knee, adding that Dom wasn't to worry as he always had his Epi Pen with him that would save his life. He soon realised that he was doing that to Dom's knee, but had no time to remove it, as Dom took his hand in his own. Sam's breath caught in his throat, as he watched Dom take his hand, and began to move his thumb along the back of it. Sam slowly looked up at Dom, as he spoke, and swallowed a little, and then felt his mouth was open a little, closing it. Again Sam couldn't react, as Dom let go of his hand, apologising.
Sam looked at Dom, and then turned away, looking towards the television. "I... um... It's okay." He didn't know what to do, so he got up. Then he watched as Dom got up, and said that he would just go and get the coffee." Sam felt like he was freaking out on the inside, but on the outside he felt that he was calm, but unsure of what to say or do. He didn't want to let Dom go, but Sam knew that he had only just gotten out of a relationship, did he seriously want to jump into another one. But this is Dominic Salvatore, his mind said to him, he is the one that you should be with.
Sam walked around the lounge, pulling at his hair slightly. He kept mumbling to himself, "What the hell do I do?" His mind kept wandering to all the gestures that they had shared, all the words that Dom had said to him, the kind of words that he had always wanted to hear from a lover, but never got the opportunity. Sam stopped pacing around, and soon realised what he had to do, something that was just out of character for Sam. He turned and faced the direction of the kitchen, marching towards Dom. Without any words, Sam turned him around, and kissed him.
{ooc - now I don't know if Dom has left the lounge to get the coffee, as it didn't say so in your post, so I made out that he had, but if I am wrong, then I will change it.}

{ooc - What you did was fine it works well and has more impact, also I'm not sure they swapped numbers or not, so if they have I can change it lol also brought up one of Dom's powers as I don't think I had before} When Dominic had put his arm around Samâs shoulders and hugged him over his familyâs reaction to his sexuality he heard Sam sigh a little and then Dominic felt Samâs hand on top of his own. There were no words spoken right at that moment, but the feel of Samâs hand on top of Domâs was making him tingle all over and Dominic let out a little sigh himself, one of sheer contentment. Dominic had then said that he knew his mom and dad would love Sam and he soon saw him turn to face him and thanked him and then added that maybe they could tell his parents to stop hassling him. Dominic looked right into his eyes, âI am sure they would take great pleasure in that my darling, although I wouldnât be shy at saying something to them myself.â Dominic knew he would seriously have hated it if his family had turned their back on him, other than having a go him about not being able to make them grandparents, they had been totally fine with it. When Dominic had spoken to Sam about the idea he had for having kids he hadnât known why he had spilled it out but it was just so easy to talk to Sam about anything and then Sam replied to what he had said by saying that he might have to tell him about that later adding that he was referring to his idea. Dominic turned his head slightly to look at Sam then and gave him a warm smile, âSure I can tell you about it sometime, all you have to do is ask when youâre ready to hear it.â He would have told him about it there and then but for some reason Dominic didnât think it was the right moment for Sam to hear about it, despite the fact that Dom would jump at the chance to have a family with Sam he still had to remember that Sam hadnât long came out of a relationship. After Sam had told Dom about his job and he had then replied saying he needed someone who could understand what he did and someone who would have trust in him he had to give Sam a weak smile as he made a comment about Joel feeling that way, not having trust in him. Dom shook his head knowing all too well what it felt like. Sam had then gone on to say that maybe it was for the best they broke up. Dominic sighed gently hearing him say that but somewhere deep inside he was believing that to be true, just like he felt it was for the best that he and Simon had split up, because really now he and Sam were together talking and Dom could tell that he was a much better catch than Simon had been. âYou know Sam, if you donât have trust in a relationship you have nothing in my opinion. If you love someone, I mean really love someone, you should be able to trust them no matter what. Your love for that person should be unconditional. And maybe it is for the best that you broke up darling, just like it was for the best for me and Simon, we may not have met each other today otherwise, fate often has a way of throwing things together.â Dom gave Sam a brighter smile then, they seriously had to stop wallowing in their past it wasnât going to do either of them any good. When they got talking about movies and Dom said that rom comâs were just the best and recited the line Julia Roberts says to Hugh Grant he watched with a smile as Sam put his hand up to his mouth and then Dom went to say the line again but changing it to suit him saying it to another guy and he grinned as he watched Sam grin and then look down at the ground. Dom really wanted to say it there and then to Sam and yet still something inside was telling him to hold back. He did say however that he hadnât met the right guy to say it to and then added yet at the end. When he said yet Sam looked at him again and Dom just gave him a warm smile. Sam then replied saying that it was something any guy would want to hear and then continued to say he loved the part where Hugh is trying to climb the fence and keeps falling saying whoopsie daisies. Sam began to laugh then which made Dominic giggle furiously. âI so totally agree with you there darling, the English accent is a pretty sexy one.â Not that he wasnât finding the way Sam talked sexy because he was, but there was just something about a full on English accent which could sound wonderful to the ears. âAnd I totally love that scene, you know what, maybe we should watch it later if youâre interested?â Dominic asked, knowing that he had the movie among many others such as Pretty Woman and Ghost to name a couple. When Dominic had told Sam that he would gladly be the one who phones or text him every day to tell him all those nice words every day he did wonder for a second how Sam would react to that, since he had more or less just let his mouth run away with him again, even if he had been telling the truth. The longer he was in Samâs company the more Dominic just wanted to let go and hold Sam in a loving embrace, the attraction toward Sam was continuing to grow stronger by the minute and constantly at the back of his mind was the sensible part of him saying to slow down because it was all too fast for Sam. But then Sam answered him saying that he wouldnât lie to him adding that it might be nice for him to do that. Dom glanced toward Sam then and felt as if his heart was going to burst out of his chest and then he gave him a warm smile, âWell thatâs settled then, you will have to give me your number and you can just say it, I have an Enhanced Memory so Iâll remember it without having to write it down.â Dominic giggled slightly realising that he hadnât spoken of his powers yet and wondered if Sam may be like him or not. When Dominic said that he would make sure to take some great shots of Sam in his garden he saw that bright smile of Samâs and then he said great. If Dom was honest with himself he wanted good photos of Sam simply because he wanted to have one that he could keep as well, whether it was on his desk at the studio, one on his bedside table or one in his wallet. Even if they just started off as friends Dominic would make sure to work on something more when he felt that Sam was ready to move on. There was just something about Samuel and Dominic wasnât about to let him slip through his fingers too easily if he could help it. When Samuel thanked Dom when he had agreed to make him spaghetti bolognaise for dinner, Dom just gave him a bright smile, âYouâre welcome my Prince.â He replied knowing that it wouldnât be a problem to make him that meal, besides it wouldnât take that long either. Although the first thing he would have to do would be to make the bolognaise sauce as that took the longest time. Then Sam had spoken more of his allergy talking about always having his Epi Pen with him which would save his life if anything ever went wrong with an allergy he had been patting at Domâs knee. Dom had looked down at the hand but then he had took it in his own and had brushed the back of it with his thumb without even thinking saying that he didnât want to lose him anytime too soon. He saw Sam look at him and in that second Dom thought he was doing the wrong thing and making Sam uncomfortable so he let go of his hand and apologised. Sam did reply saying that it was okay but deep inside Dominic knew that it wasnât okay; he really shouldnât have been coming onto him so soon. He turned to him, âItâs not okay though is it darling, I shouldnât have been pushing things, itâs alright for me, Iâve been out of mine for a couple of years now.â With that Dominic then made his way into the kitchen and switched the machine off seeing that it was ready and took two mugs and began to pour the coffee into them. As he poured the coffee out he heard Sam mumbling to himself, which was something else he was going to have to tell Sam, that he had enhanced hearing due to being Superhuman, he would hate for Sam to say something that he hadnât intended on Dominic hearing. Dominic felt terrible for making Sam feel so awkward about the moment between them before, what with him mumbling to himself about what to do. Dominic knew that when he took the coffee out he was going to tell Sam that he should maybe just go after he had finished it and think about things over a couple of days and get back to him when he was ready when he felt himself being turned around and then Sam kissed him. Dominic didnât know what to do thinking that it may have been the wrong move for Sam and not something he was really thinking about but Dominic couldnât do anything but kiss him back. Then after a second or two Dom pulled away from Sam and just looked at him, his eyes searching Samâs face, âAre you sure you wanted...â But he trailed off as he just went in for another kiss himself wrapping one arm around Samâs waist and putting his other up to Samâs neck and running his hand through his hair at the neck ever so slightly.

{ooc - no numbers weren't exchanged, and he has never mentioned his ability either.}
After Sam said that maybe Dom's parents could tell his parents to stop hasselling him about it all, Dom said that he was sure his parents would take great pleasure in doing that. He then said that he wouldn't be shy at saying something to them himself. Sam turned, and gave him a warm smile, knowing full well that that would be the case, as he seemed to get the vibe that Dom was a very confident person, and would do or say whatever he was thinking. Sometimes Sam wanted to be that confident, as initial meeting with potential lovers always made him a little nervous.
Sam listened to what Dom said, in regards to trust in a relationship. He was totally agreeing with what he was saying about it now. He gave Dom a few knowing nods, especially at the parts where he spoke of love for another person should be unconditional. Sam really had loved Joel, but it seemed that trust had been an issue more so for Joel, than for Sam. It was always like he was defending himself with him, and Sam hated that. He felt that he didn't need to defend himself, with what he was doing, as he wasn't doing anything to hurt the relationship at all. All Sam could do was smile at Dom, when he said that it was for the best that Sam had broken up, and that Dom had broken up with Simon, as they may not have met each other today. "I sometimes do believe in fate, and things happen for a reason." Sam looked at Dom, and sighed a little, wondering if anything would come out of this chance meeting.
After Sam made the comment about the English accent being a pretty sexy one, Sam had to smile, and chuckle a bit. "I know. If I hear it, and know that the guy is straight, I sometimes think it is a waste, as I would totally jump on that." Sam then laughed a little, then Dom said that he loved that scene that Sam had mentioned from the movie. He nodded, as Dom suggested that they should watch it later, if Sam was interested. "That would be good. I have to admit, that I kind of burned my copy out, as I always watch it. Though Joel was into the whole action movie genre, as he is a cop. Not too good with those movies, though when a guy is shirtless..." Sam began to fan himself, "... that definately starts to turn me on." He laughed a little, thinking it sounded weird, but that was the only way he would watch those kinds of movies, if they had hot guys without their shirts.
After Sam had said that it would be nice for Dom to say or text what he thought of Sam each day, Dom instantly said that it was settled, and Sam would have to give Dom his number. Dom had then said that he could just say it, as he had an Enhanced Memory, so he would remember it without writing it down. Sam raised his eyebrows a little, "Well since you have that ability, I also have an ability. It's Superhuman Intelligence. So looks like we are a pair." Sam gave him a smile, then decided to rattle off the number. "Since I had to change it for when I got to Las Vegas, my new number is: (700) 545-1122." Then Sam pointed to Dom's head. "Hopefully you won't forget." He then chuckled a little, knowing that with Dom's ability he wouldn't, but he was just teasing a little.
After Sam had spoken of his allergy to peanuts, and had patted Dom's knee, saying that he wasn't to worry. Then Dom had taken his hand, and Sam didn't know what to say or do, and just looked at Dom. Then Dom had let go of Sam's hand, apologising. Sam soon was able to say that it was okay, and then had gotten up off the lounge. Sam then heard what Dom said, saying that it wasn't okay, was it, and that he shouldn't have been pushing things. He went on about how it was okay for him as it had been a couple of years since his last relationship. Sam then watched Dom move out of the room, towards the kitchen.
This was when Sam had a hard time debating with himself what to do. He kept mumbling to himself, wondering what he should do. His heart was saying one thing, and his head was saying another, and it was driving him insane. But then he stopped, and knew what he had to do, despite it being out of character for him. So Sam had made his way into the kitchen, turned Dom around, without hesitation, and then kissed him. Sam wasn't sure what reaction he would have gotten off Dom, but he soon felt him kiss him back. To Sam it felt right, and soon realised that everything that he had been feeling was true, and real, for once.
Then Dom pulled away, looking at Sam. Here it comes, he thought, he is going to tell me to leave, despite the fact that he had kissed me back. Sam watched Dom search his face, then started to say, asking if Sam was sure he wanted, but then trailed off. There was no awkward silence then, Sam was feeling Dom's lips on his own again. Sam kissed him back, and felt one of Dom's arms go around his waist, and the other up near his neck. The feel of Dom's hand running through his hair felt nice, and he continued to kiss Dom.
But then Sam felt he had to answer Dom's sentence, knowing full well what he was going to ask. Sam pulled away, and looked at Dom. "Yes, I am sure I want to do this." He moved out of Dom's embrace, and took his hand, "Maybe we should talk about it, or we could just go back to what we were doing?" Sam gave him a warm smile, and then his eyes diverted back to Dom's lips, wondering what he was going to say.
