Sometime into the future
Sylar had just come back from the present. He had gone to grab a cup of coffee and ended up going to the present. It was terrible what the hell was he thinking? Why did he want to be a part of a world order where he was the new overlord? Of course, he liked the idea and he was doing it for Noah, but how would he explain to his son that daddy went bad?
He had no clue. He had debated in his hand for a few hours, before deciding that he would go pick up his son from day care. He had enlisted Noah in day care in New York. Sylar decided that it was best for them to relocate to New York, after he accidentally blew up Costa Verde. He decided that maybe Noah should be close to family. Well, to his grandmother, Aunt, and mother. If Noah’s mother would even come around anymore.
Elle never came around.
He didn’t know why, but he didn’t care. It was just a part of life. He sighed as he entered the day care which Noah was now a part of. He hoped Noah had a good day. He went into the room that Noah was assigned too. He entered very quietly, and he watched his son play with his fellow classmates.

Noah was pretty used to moving. Or, rather, moving around. He was only four—he liked to count ahead—but he knew he had moved around more than many other kids. He was just telling the other kids about that when a supervisor came to check on them. “Ya, an’ me’n’my Daddy went everywheres! Even to da moon!” He raised his arms up high, signifying the great space above the ceiling.
The boys surrounding him ooed and aaed, then one boy said, “Can’t go to moon. Is too high to get dere. I neva see you dere.” Which prompted the other boys to go, “How you see him there?” and other questions of the sort. Noah loved talking with the other boys, but sometimes they got on his nerves. “I wanna play dinos.” He declared suddenly, spying the supervisor zeroing in on the boy’s location.
“But we dun have no dinos. Lady took ‘em away.” Robert said, frowning and crossing his arms as the supervisor neared. “No need, ‘obert.” Noah said, and then emphasized. “We be the dinos.”
The other boys thought this wonderful, and they cried, “I wanna be a meat-etr!” Or “I wanna have a long-neck!” Noah grinned. His dinosaur was the most powerfulest. His dinosaur was small, but the velociraptor had lightning fast reflexes and killer claws. “I be vel-ci-raptor!” Noah cried, and hissed like he thought a dinosaur would.
“No fair!” Robert cried, “I wanna be ah vel-ci-raptor!” But Noah shook his head, “Only one vel-ci-raptor, and I is him!” Of course Robert agreed, and he chose the T-Rex instead. “Rawr!” Noah cried, and the one that wanted to be a long-neck cried in astonishment. “You not get me, vel-ci-raptor! I keel you wiff my long neck!”
“No chance!” Noah cried, and then smiled. “My vel-ci-raptor skills will get you!” And he jumped onto the boy. Pretty soon he was in the middle of a small-boy dogpile.
“Boys!” The supervisor said, exasperated. “I took away your dinos for a reason! No fighting!”

Sylar watched as his son was playing dinosaurs. It was kind of cute. He just laughed to himself as he watched them go into a small-boy dogpile. It was almost like his son was a football player tackling the quarterback at a major game. Like the Super Bowl.
The father of Noah was wearing dark clothes. He wondered to himself, if he should change his appearance, he always used the power of illusion, but he decided that today he would be his regular self, the supervisors always saw him this way. He just went into his jacket pocket and placed his glasses on.
Now, now Noah He thought to himself.
He wondered if he should interrupt the boys in the small pile. It seemed like the teacher wasn't going to do anything. He hated when teachers would just let toddlers fight over stuff. It was quiet annoying and he was paying a good amount of money, for Noah to go this school. Okay, Mohinder was. But still, it was a waste of money.
However, sometimes father and children needed to be away from one another.
"Noah, son let's go home" He said as he went over to the small-boy pile and gently took the boys off of his son. "We can play dinos when we get home" he assured his son with a smile as he turned towards the supervisor and gave a weak smile.
"He was alright, today right?" asked Sylar to the supervisor. He didn't like the supervisor, but he had to pretend to like the teacher. He was debating if he should read the teacher's mind or just leave it. He didn't that perhaps he would just leave the telepathic abilties out, for now.

“Long-necks can’t not defeat my vel-ci-raptors!” Noah cried, laughing happily as the boy who declared he wanted to be a long-neck fell under him. He was never mean, he just played hard. Fortunately, so did the other youngsters he played with. Nearby some girls playing tea shrieked in… fright? Noah didn’t care. He rounded on Robert. “Vel-ci-raptor want defeat T-Rex!”
Noah and Robert squared off against each other, laughing happily. Noah didn’t even notice when his father had arrived, and he didn’t notice now that Daddy was zeroing in on his position until Daddy picked him up. He grew limp, “aww, Daddy! I was jus’ playin’ dinos with them.” He looked at the boys still tumbling around on the ground and wanted to play with them, but knew that he wouldn’t be able to now. Daddy wouldn’t let him go once Daddy picked him up.
“I was a vel-ci-raptor, Daddy!” Noah cried in his father’s arms. “I was dis huge!” He showed an example by spreading his arms way apart and stretching as far as his Daddy’s hold on him would allow it. Meanwhile the supervisor looked the man in the eyes and then sighed. “As alright as children these young are. We did have to take away some dinosaur toys, the boys were getting too rowdy.”
“We ever go to da moon, Daddy? I wanna go and tell Robert I wented.” Noah said matter-of-factly. This earned a glance from the supervisor, who then sighed, “Boys will be boys.”

Gabe laughed as he watched his son interact with his friends. It was quite interesting really. He was glad that his son was having a good time. He really wanted his son to make friends. His son was innocent and wasn’t exposed to what his father was about to do. He was about to turn back to the ways that he thought he would give up.
As Gabe picked up his son he just gave a weak smile as he watched his son want to get out of his grip. He wasn’t going to allow his son to get out of his grip. He had missed his son for the day. He laughed, “I know, Noah” He said with a smile “But we can play dinos at home” He suggested as looked at his son’s friends and then looked back up at his son.
The father laughed at his son, “Well, that is amazing” He said with a grin. “No way, you couldn’t be that huge” Gabe said an excited tone of his voice. He then looked at the supervisor. “I see, that is how boys play they like it rough” Gabe said as he nodded to the supervisor.
“One day, we will go to the Moon, Noah, one day” He said with a smile. He could take his son to the moon now, but he really didn’t want to. He shook his head at the supervisor and left the room. “So do you want some Ice Cream?” He asked as they left the room.

Noah struggled in his Daddy's arms. He turned and kissed his Daddy on the cheek. "I love dinos, Daddy. You be big T-Rex, K? Then I be vel-ci-raptor and I roar." He squealed in his childish silliness, and hugged his Daddy on the neck. Meanwhile, the supervisor smiled at the father and son relationship. "I'll see Noah tomorrow?" She asked, but did not expect an answer. She turned away to pry Robert from another boys grip. Robert was snarling like a dinosaur.
"Daddy?" Noah asked when his Daddy asked if he wanted ice cream. "Can get ice cream then go home an' watch Littlefoot?" Littlefoot being The Land Before Time, a series older than most Disney movies and made by Steven Spielburg. "Littlefoot and Ducky are my fav-rits!" He had told Gabriel this many times, so Gabriel probably knew that.
"I wants cho-clate ice creams, Daddy. Cho-clate and m-n-m's." Noah said, still clinging to Gabriel's neck with an iron grasp. It was a good thing the kid hadn't absorbed superhuman strength, or else his Daddy's neck would have been squished by now. "We go to da moon an' eat ice cream and watch Littlefoot?"

“I know that kid-o” He said with a smile “An yes, daddy will a T-Rey and you can be a velio raptor” He said with a slight chuckle. He loved having Noah a part of his life and he had no clue what he would do without him. He would probably be devastated, but he didn’t want that to happen. He didn’t want to think about that.
“Of course we can, son” Gabriel said in an approving tone. He never denied his kid anything. It would seem, but the child had very good discipline. He smiled again at his son. “I know you love Ducky, and Littlefoot” He added with a slight chuckle. He wondered if he would have to seat and watch the entire series again or maybe perhaps just watch one of them. He hated watching the entire series, but he did it for Noah.
“Chocolate ice cream for my little velio raptor” He said with a smile as he held his son with one arm and tickled his son’s stomach. “We will go to the moon, eat ice cream, and watch Littlefoot” He said as he give a wink to his child.

Noah was getting tired of just sitting in his father’s arms. He was liking the prospect of eating ice cream while watching Littlefoot. He loved Littlefoot, but he loved Chomper more ‘cause Chomper was a baby T-Rex. He wanted there to be a baby vel-ci-raptor, too. He hung his head on Daddy’s shoulder and sighed.
“Daddy, I wanna go now.” Noah was itching to play with Robert and the other boys. If Daddy wasn’t going to put him down or leave, he’d push Daddy away and play with the boys. Unfortunately, if he pushed Daddy away, he’d probably hurt Daddy. Even if Daddy could reheal himself, he’d scare Robert and his friends, and they wouldn’t be friends with him no more.
“Can we leave now? I want ice cream!” He moaned a little louder. Ice cream, yes, and Littlefoot. Maybe he’d make Daddy sit with him and watch the whole series. Or maybe they could sing the sing-alongs together. Ice cream on a waffle cone. Noah loved ice cream. And Noah loved waffles. Put one and one together and you get… well Noah wasn’t completely sure yet. He just knew how to count on his fingers, and even then it as a stretch.
Maybe Daddy could dress up like a dinosaur. He’d done it before. Noah believed it was a funny looking dinosaur (maybe a Barney?) but he loved it when Daddy played with him. “Will we meet Mommy at da ice cream place?”
If Mommy was there at the ice cream place, then Noah had his day made.

Sylar decided that it was time to leave. It would seem that his child was getting a bit fussy about being in the room with the rest of his friends. Of course, Sylar was getting very anxious to leave the room also. The father and son shared a common goal. It would seem to Sylar.
Sylar gave a smile and nodded. “Yes, Noah we can leave now!” He said with a grin on his face. He was craving ice cream. He was now hungry, of course he was hungry. He had no clue why he was always hungry, but yet he was physical fit. He shrugged his shoulders and exited the classroom with Noah.
Sylar frowned as he shut the door of the classroom. He glanced down at Noah when he mentioned his mother. Sylar gave a weak smile, “I don’t know, we aren’t talking anymore, Noah” He said sighing as he mentioned Elle. He really didn’t know why Elle was really talking to him. He looked down at the ground. “Your too young to understand, why Mommy and Daddy aren’t talking” He said with a frown as he closed his eyes and teleport he and his son to the Ice Cream place.

Noah bounced up and down happily in his Daddy’s arms when Gabe said they could leave. He had been getting seriously antsy. Noah loved this part of the day, when Daddy made them go anywhere in the blink of an eye. He loved the rush of… nothing as he was at one place at one moment and at another place the next. He forgot about what Daddy said about Mommy until they appeared in front of the ice cream place.
“Daddy, I don’t care if Mommy don’t talk to you. She talks to me, why isnat she here?” Noah said, pointing his chubby little finger at the door. “I wan’ my Mommy.” Noah would have cried if he hadn’t have been too preoccupied by the ice cream on the other side of the glass. He opened the door with his mind, “Hurry, Daddy.” He said, changing the conversation. “I want ice cream, then we go watch Littlefoot.”
“I want cho-clate and v-nilla ice cream, ‘kay Daddy? And sprinkles and little bears!” Noah liked the little bears, he loved to chew on them. “And a waffle cone?” Noah continued to bounce in his father’s arms. He wanted that ice cream bad.

Gabe knew that Noah loved teleporting. It was the best time of day. He could always pop up anywhere in the world. It was just an awesome rush and Gabe loved doing it. It was one of the few powers that he actually thought that came into uselessness. Especially when having a child around.
The older Gray was about to say something to his son when he decided that perhaps he should just drop the subject, but Noah’s lovely attention span changed the subject which was good. Gabe wasn’t in the mood to even talk about Elle. He smiled as his son opened the door with his mind. “Noah, no powers in public” He said to his son with a smile. He then entered the Ice Cream Shop.
Gabe nodded to his son as Noah informed him that he wanted that kind of Ice Cream. He then went up to the counter and ordered it for his. “My son would like to have chocolate and vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and little bears all on a waffle cone” He said with a smile to the girl behind the counter “And I’ll have a chocolate malt” Gabe added.

Noah wanted Daddy’s power. Noah wanted to go anywhere he wanted just by thinking it. Of course, Noah couldn’t have Daddy’s power, because Noah didn’t know how to take Daddy’s power. Out of all of the powers Daddy had, Noah only had two. He could heal himself, and he could move objects. But Daddy had told him to never use his powers because other people might think he was weird.
Unfortunately, Noah didn’t remember things like that; like now, when Noah used his power to open the doors. He was so excited that he didn’t remember not to use his powers where people could see him. “Oh.” He said, but didn’t succeed in making it sound sad. “Sorry, Daddy.” Noah didn’t like to see his Daddy mad, and in fact, he didn’t like to see anyone mad.
And that made him remember Mommy. As Gabriel ordered the ice cream, Noah still clutching to his side, Noah thought of Mommy. His attention span was short, but he could remember things better than most, and that was saying something. Noah smiled absentmindedly when Daddy told the nice lady what he wanted on his ice cream, but he was not thinking totally about ice cream. As they waited for the nice lady to fix their ice cream, Noah frowned. “Daddy? Daddy, Mommy likes ice cream, too. Why can not she be here?”

Gabriel wasn’t mad at his son. He just didn’t like his son to use powers in public. People were afraid of their kind unknown to most people that they had an elective official with powers. Yes, the President of the United States had ability and some other officials had powers. Gabe knew of this because he spent most of his time affiliating with the insane people of Washington. He was after all a part of the Secret Service.
The thirty-some-year old sighed as his son mentioned his mother again. That was the third time today and millionth time this week. Gabe wondered if he should just go and give Elle her child. She had to be stable enough. Since that last incident two months ago. She just had too. He frowned and looked at his son. “We will go and visit Mommy” He said with a smile. “What do you think Mommy would like?!” He asked to Noah.

Noah was glancing at all of the colors. He really liked the pink kind, which he knew to be some sort of flavor called bubble gum. He also liked the blue kind, which turned out to be cotton candy. However, he did not know what Mommy liked, and Daddy changed what he wanted so often that Noah wasn’t too sure of what Daddy liked, either.
Yet Daddy had asked Noah what Mommy wanted.
When the person behind the counter turned to work on Noah’s ice cream, Noah moved a sample spoon into the Moose Tracks ice cream, dug some out, and then made the spoon come to his hand. He tasted it, and smiled. Then he promptly tried to force the ice cream into Daddy’s mouth. “Mommy wants this ice cream.” Noah said, and knew it was right. Noah loved this ice cream, too, but it seemed to be an ice cream that Daddy would like, as well.
“An’ she wants a waffle cone!” Noah said, waving the spoon around above his head, laughing childishly, “Wiff gummy bears and sprinkles!”

Gabriel had two favorite kind of Ice Cream. It was Rocky Road and Vanilla. Those were the only two that he enjoyed and he would never admit it to anyone. No one needed to know or so he thought. You could say that Gabe was a very selfish person. However, this was just him in many ways. He didn’t care.
He liked to be selfish. Sure it was probably a bad example for his child, but he really didn’t care. He was thinking of just letting Noah’s mother watch him from now on. He wanted no part in raising a child. He wanted to be there for his son, but sometimes he wasn’t sure if he should be around or not.
Gabe rolled his eyes as Noah fed him. He just shook his head and just nodded, “Yes, she would like this one” It would have been easier just to give her some Peach Pie. He smiled at Noah and then looked at the person who was taking their order. “Do as he says, please” He said very politely.
A few minutes later Gabe handed Noah his ice cream and also his mother’s. “Hold Mommy’s okay!” He said with a weak as he took his. He then paid for it and disappeared within a few seconds. Arriving at home.
