Peter shrugged as security started to pull their guns on him. All he wanted was the people to just tell the family what was going on. That is all he wanted and then he was going to leave. This was just a bad idea for him to come. He was just going to say goodbye and get on with his day. He did work here, believe it or not.
He raised an eyebrow when the Chief of Staff said that Nathan was paralyze. No that couldn’t be He started to break down emotional. “What do you mean? You think he might be paralyzed?” asked Peter in kind tone. He wanted to so much hurt someone, but he was trying his best not. He had the gun to security as he looked down at his watch.
“Just disregard my statement, I’m going to be late for work” He said with a weak smile as he stared at the three women, “Why don’t you lot call me or text me with an update, I have to go to work and I know I should be here, but I do have a living to make, and it involves saving lives” He said with a annoyed tone. He then left.

The man ignored the woman known as Angela, who obviously was the mother of Nathan. But once he entered the room, Nathan spoke to him. “I’m truly sorry. But you were in a car accident, when you were leaving your house. A car hit you, and now your in Grandview General Hospital.” the man said. He made his way over to the other doctor in the room. “How is he?” he asked the doctor.
“All vitals are good.” The doctor quickly responded. The man then looked over at Nathan again. “Do you want to see someone? Three ladies are here and a man I think.” he said.
Nathan listened to the man explain what happened. He couldn’t believe he was in a car accident. He didn’t remember any of this happening. He looked up at the ceiling as the man talked with the other doctor in the room. He didn’t pay attention as to what they were talking about.
Then the doctor returned to him, asking who he wanted to see. He thought for a bit and decided who he wanted to see. “Claire. I want to see Claire.” he said, quietly.
The Chief of Justice nodded with a smile and went to the door. “Claire, he wants to see you.” he said with a smile. He held the door opened waiting for her to walk in.

Angela couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her son, her darling son who was going to be President was paralysed, it wasn't right and it wasn't fair. Something had to be done about this. Nathan would learn to walk again. He had to. But she decided not to voice any of her opinions, not right now anyway.
Then she heard Peter begin to talk about having to go to work. How could he work at a time like this she thought. Yet at the same time, maybe work was a good thing, it would take his mind off of everything. Yes work would be good for him.
"Well we'll be sure to keep you updated Peter, off you go then" Angela said, not as if she was giving him his marching orders or anything, he had already said he had to go. She however, just wanted to see Nathan, and since the Chief of Staff didn't say she could, she just had to sit and wait.

Tracy was still very upset about Nathan, she wasn't really paying attention to anything which was going on around about her. She had wanted to see him, but it seemed it wasn't going to happen, at least not by what the Chief of Staff was saying anyway. Since nobody was really speaking to her, she just sat down, completely zoned out.
However, when Peter said he had to go and should be working, Tracy lifted her head for a second and just nodded it in acknowledgement. It was like she was here but not here at the same time. Now that was confusing.
When the Chief of Justice came out and said that Nathan wanted to see Claire, Tracy wanted to jump up and scream, why, why her and not me, but she refrained, after all Claire was his daughter, of course he'd want to see her first. Tracy felt terrible for even thinking the way she had. She just stayed quiet and remained sitting down. She'd get to see Nathan soon enough of that she was sure.

Claire hadn't paid much attention to what was going on around her. She had just remained stood against the wall, well sat against the wall after she'd sort of slid down it, not even paying any attention to anything else going on around about her. Even when Peter said he had to get back to work, she didn't even say anything. What was the point? Her dad, Nathan, the one she'd only just found about a year ago and began bonding with was lying on a hospital bed, possibly dying for all she knew.
However she did hear the world paralysed among the voices swimming around her head. So, at least he wasn't dying, that was good, right? But paralysed, what would that do for his Presidential career she wondered. Not that that really mattered to Claire, what mattered was her dad surviving, so she could spend more time with him, getting to know him more. Bonding with him more. She loved him now, she loved being a part of his life, and she didn't want that to change. Ever.
Next thing she knew the door to Nathan's room was opening, she pulled herself up off the floor and managed to get herself to her feet. It was the Chief of Justice and he was saying Nathan wanted to see her. Out of everybody waiting for him, he wanted to see her. She gave a weak smile through her tears and went into the room which the door was being held opened for her.
The soon as she saw him, the tears began to fall more freely. She was scared for him. "Dad?!" she sad simply as she made her way closer to him, scared to get too close in case she hurt him, yet at the same time wanting to hug him close to her. "Hi" she said softly as she leaned in close to give him a kiss, "I love you dad, I just want you to get better" she said as the tears fell down again more freely.

Claire had walked by him as he held the door open. Now it was all on Nathan. But the doctor stood there against the wall in the back of the room as he watched the two semi-closely. He didn’t want to intrude on there talk, but he still needed to continue to watch him as if something could happen.
Nathan was still waking up, when he saw Claire walked in he smiled. He closed his eyes when she bent over and gave him a kiss on his forehead. “Hey Claire.” he mumbled. “I want you to promise me something. I don’t want you to donate your blood to me. This needs to happen.” he continued.
“This needs to happen. Its destiny that I got in this crash.” he explained. “So for now this needs to stay this way. Okay? Promise?” he asked with a slight smile on his face. It still hurt to move around his face.

Claire just continued to look at Nathan with sadness in her eyes. She couldn't believe this had happened to him, and she certainly didn't want him to die. Although it was quite possible, looking at him now, he wasn't about to die, which was one thing. But she was still devastated at the turn of events.
When he said hello to her, she just smiled weakly at him again. She had already said hello to him anyway. In a way she felt grateful he had asked to see her over anybody else. But when he next spoke she soon figured out why and she didn't like it.
"But I don't understand why" she said, not in a moany voice, just with sadness and worry. "My blood could heal you instantly, you know that, why put yourself through pain which is unnecessary if you just took my blood?" she tried to explain, not understanding why he would want to do this to himself.
However he said it again, and was rather insistant about it as well. She had no option but to back down and agree. Sighing gently, with tears running down her cheeks, "Fine, if that's what you want, if that's what needs to happen, then I promise" she said softly, as she kissed him on the forehead again.
"I'll always love you dad" she whispered into his ear before lifting her face away from his again and stood on watching him. He was strong, that she knew and he could do this, if he wanted to fight, he could fight it and Claire would be there for him every step of the fight.

Nathan knew that Claire would fight against this statement, that was why he had repeated himself to show that he wasn’t kidding or that he was absolutely made up his mind. It was destiny that put him in this chair and when destiny was reading for him to return to normal, it would present itself, when ever that would be.
Nathan smiled as he noticed Claire give up. He needed to hear that. His life was now set for months to come. Stuck to a chair but yet could fly. Motions were set for the future of all heroes and specials alike. Tragedy has yet to set into the minds of American citizens.
SUMMARY
Claire had of course promised that she wouldn’t loan her blood to Nathan unless he asked for it. Nathan was paralyzed from the waist down, and put into a wheelchair. Tracy and Angela after Nathan had spoken to Claire had them come in as well. Tracy of course was a waterfall. She cried so much, Nathan felt guilty to put this on her, but he stuck to his decision with Claire. He comforted her best he could. A week later Nathan left the hospital and continued with the election process.
