When Brendan ran his finger along the side of Stacey's face he saw her close her eyes for a few seconds as he did it. He wondered what was going through her mind at that point, he knew what was going through his, but that would have to wait until later in the evening when they got to Venice. Brendan smiled at Stacey when she agreed that they had been to one of the most romantic places in the world. She then continued to speak saying she'd never have done any of it if she hadn't met him. She continued to say she was glad she had and that was all that mattered.
Brendan looked at her, giving her a really warm smile, "Well, am glad I met ya an' all, an' there's nobody else I'd have wanted to do this with." Stacey along with Libby and the new baby were his life now, his world, his everything. He still had his family of course, his parents and Debbie, but they were now considered part of the bigger family, Stacey, Libby and the new baby were his family, and the more he thought about it, the more he loved it. When he'd wrapped an arm around Stacey, he soon felt her cuddle into him, so he snuggled in all the more. He loved when she did that, and played with his chest hair.
He had to chuckle at Stacey's response when he'd said the Tower was no where near as amazing as she was. She really was going to have to get used to his compliments to her, because they were never going to stop. "Ya know, yer really gonna hafta get used to them compliments, an' stop rollin' yer eyes at me every time I give ya one, cause I ain't ever gonna stop." He grinned, showing those dimples and winked at her. He had every right to compliment her if he wanted, and he did, and he would for the rest of their lives together. Even when she was blooming with his child, she'd still be amazing and beautiful.
"An' fer the record, it wouldn' take much fer ya to live up to the reputation Bambi sweetheart, cause it comes naturally to ya." There went another one. Compliments ran from Brendan over Stacey so easily. Then, that's what happened when you were truly, madly, deeply in love with someone. After Brendan had taken the photograph of Stacey, he'd gone over to the group to get the group leader to take a photo of them both together. Brendan loved taking photos of Stacey, but it was always nice to get one of them together as well.
When he got the camera back from the lady who took the photograph, Brendan looked at it, how romantic it looked, he turned the screen to face Stacey, "See? Jus' beautiful ain't it? Such a romantic photograph of us both." It wasn't the first romantic photo of them both, and hopefully it wouldn't be the last romantic one of them both either. After some time passed with taking photographs and talking, Brendan had asked Stacey if she was ready to head back into the city, so they could relax for a bit before they went on their journey to Venice. This was what he was looking forward to the most. He knew by the time they arrived that the sun wouldn't be too long in setting.
He smiled at Stacey when she said it would be nice to sit and relax for a while, as even though it wasn't too late in the afternoon, she was getting tired. Brendan knew pregnancy did that to women, made them more tired then they usually would be. "Alrigh' Bambi, sweetheart, ain't a problem. Shouldn' take us too long to get back, an' then it's off to Venice we go." He grinned at her, still finding it hard to believe he was here with this wonderful woman who had agreed to become his wife. It was just simply magical.
"Yeah, well I know wha' it can do to a woman, after readin' up on it, as ya know, so it's fine sweetheart. An' a glass of Coke sounds real nice to me an' all." He watched Stacey as she got her bag, and then saw her rub at her back a little. Had the aches got to her already? That was one thing he hadn't read up on much, but he was sure the aches didn't start until a woman was beginning to show more. However, he wasn't a woman and had never been pregnant, so what did he know?
"Ya alrigh' there Bambi?" He could carry her if need be, alright, so he had the bag with the cake and his own small bag over his shoulder which had his cameras in it, but he could easily carry those and Stacey as well. "Wan' me to lift ya back to the bus?" He was being completely serious, but he smiled at her as well. He waited for her to reply, before continuing to walk in the direction of where they would get the bus back into the heart of Rome.
After spending a half hour relaxing with a Coke and general conversation, Brendan had collected their luggage and they were soon on the train heading into Venice. The journey took three and a half hours, and during that time, they had spoken, then Brendan had encouraged Stacey to rest for a bit, as he slept for a while. Then he had read his book the rest of the journey. The first thing Brendan suggested they do the soon as they arrived into the heart of Venice was to book into their hotel. The hotel was called Hotel Canal Venice. Once they were booked in, Brendan asked Stacey what she would like from room service for an evening meal, before he took her to the canals to go on that gondola ride he'd been waiting so long for all day.
Once they had finished their meals, with a good bit of resting between everything, he looked out the window of the hotel room at the view he could see. It was lovely. He turned to Stacey, "Come an' look at this." He stood aside, to let Stacey stand next to him, so she could see as well.
Once Stacey was beside him and looking at what he could see, "Ya fancy goin' fer tha' gondola ride now Bambi?" He had a grin on his face, he really couldn't wait. He just wanted to give her his final birthday gift, and hope she loved it as much as she had seemed to love everything else he'd given her.
{ooc - okay jumped them to Venice and rambled about things they may have got up to? Hope that was alright, difficult to do without god modding too much though.}
