Ira was leaning against the wall with his eyes closed, still taking deep breaths and trying to compose himself again. Even though he wasn't in the elevator anymore, his legs were still shaking and his body was still tight with tension. Now there was nothing more he could do but wait for a while, try to calm himself down, before taking the stairs.
He jumped as he heard a scream from the elevator and his eyes popped open in time to see Rosie being pulled out of the elevator by the firemen. Then there was a sickening screeching and snapping noise and then the elevator literally just went hurtling down the elevator shaft.
Ira leaned against the wall again, a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach as Rosie came over to him, hugging him tightly. We could have been in there... he just kept thinking over and over again as he hugged Rosie close to him, resting his head on top of hers.

Rosie was literally shaking with fear while she was stuck in that elevator and it started to make those noises. What the hell was happening? Then just as the fireman had pulled her out the elevator went crashing down the elevator shaft. Of course Rosie had ran right into Ira's arms and began hugging him tightly. Now it was her turn to shake with fear as she has said those words that they could have been in there. The fact Ira was hugging her back, and she felt his head on top of hers, felt nice, and she began to take in deep breaths and try to calm down.
Then as she was hugging into Ira, she saw a figure in the shadows just to the side of the elevator, well, where the elevator was, was a more precise thing to say. She leaned out of the hug, and looked right at the figure, and as she did so, she saw a sneer on the face, before he quickly disappeared. Rosie's heart began to beat in her chest loudly. As she continued to look at him before he finally moved away, she could have sworn it was that serial killer Sylar.
Unsure of whether she could even speak, she began to tap Ira on the shoulder, and pointing in the direction of where she had seen the figure, even though they were no longer there. "I...Ir...Ira, I.. just saw someone... he...h...he... looked like...S...S...Sylar." She was now shaking uncontrollably, the fact that he had almost killed her, well, could have been both of them, while they were stuck in that elevator was quite sickening.

Ira stood, his arms wrapped tightly around Rosie, and it was comforting him as much comforting her. Although he hadn't been in the elevator when it was starting to fall - just the thought of being in the elevator at that time made him want to throw up - he was still badly shaken from the long stretch of time they had been trapped in there. He closed his eyes again and continued to hold Rosie, aware of the fact that his whole body was still shaking slightly.
But then she pulled away from him, looking like she had just seen a ghost. "What?" Ira asked, his forehead wrinkling with concern. "What is it?" What Rosie said took a second to sink in. Sylar...Sylar...hmm.
And then it hit him like a punch to the gut. Sylar. The serial killer. "Are you sure?" he asked, starting to bite his lower lip with nervousness.

It felt good having Ira hug her, but she could feel he was still shaking a lot, and Rosie knew then, just how terrified he must have been in that elevator, to still be shaking this bad now they were both out of it. She was glad she didn't suffer from anything like claustrophobia or a fear of elevators, because if she had, they wouldn't have done each other any favours at all. Thankfully at least one of them was able to try and keep the situation calm and under control to an extent.
When Rosie had pulled out of the hug to stare at the figure in the shadows, Ira had asked her what was wrong. Of course she couldn't speak right away, then when she did finally say what she thought, she could see the concern on Ira's face. Then when it had obviously finally sunk in what she had said, Ira asked if she was sure. However, she wasn't completely sure, but how else could they explain an elevator suddenly hurling down the shaft the way it did?
"I'm not sure, that's the problem, but it really looked like him, and let's face it, elevators might stop, but they don't just suddenly hurl down an elevator shaft without good reason, and he'd just be the type of person to do something like that, don't you think?" Rosie was now shaking, she couldn't believe, they could have both lost their lives in that thing at his hands. If it was him of course, but it looked like him.
