9th November 2008
"Where is she!" He thought to himself, worried, looking at his watch. He stood out in front of the movie cinema, waiting for Carla. This was thier first date, and he was worried about being stood up.
"She wouldn't do that, would she?" He thought to himself. He let her choose what they would do, he even let her pick the movie, and promised to sit through some chick flick without complaining.
He waiting out the front, looking nervously from side to side, unsure of which direction she would come from. He took out his phone, tempted to call her.
I don't want to be pushy. He thought to himself She will show up.
He looked up again and kept searching, looking from his watch, onto the road, and back again.

It was typical of Sam. She'd asked him to drop her off at the movies for her date with Bruce, and he was messing around, so typically he was going to make her late. He was wary of her new found friendship with Bruce, and he was doing everything in his power to make it not work.
"Come on Sam, you're going to make me late, can you just hurry up and take me already" she shouted at him, as she watched him sit on the sofa with an evil grin, throwing the keys up into the air and catching them again.
"Fine, then I'll take the damn bus" Carla said getting annoyed, as she began to walk out the door and felt a tug at her arm. "No you don't, you ain't going anywhere on your own at night, I'll take you" he said in his protective manner.
About fifteen minutes later, making her ten minutes late, she was outside the cinema. She leaned across and kissed Sam on the cheek, "I'll text when I'm ready to be taken home" she said as she got out the car and made her way to the figure she could make out was Bruce.
Rolling her eyes as she approached, "I'm sorry, Sam, being his usual protective self, winding me up and not taking me in the car to start with, but I'm here now, sorry if I got you worried" she sort of rambled slightly, as this was their first date and she was a little nervous.

He looked up from his watch. To see Sam and Carla in the car. He nodded a thank you to Sam, and gave Carla a look. He smiled to her, extremly happy to see her.
"Hey.. Carla" He said to her, happily. "Glad you made it" He smiled. He was as nervous as she looked, and shifted to the cinema ticket booth. He payed for his and her ticket, and went over to the candy bar.
"Do you want anything, Carla?" He asked, still nervous. "Some popcorn or something?"
He bought some stuff, and then started talking to her, wanting to tell her things of his own.
"Are you the slightest bit curious to see, to know, what I can do, Carla?" He asked.

Carla smiled at him, happy to see him too. Even if Sam had messed around making her late. It was typical of him, and he was only doing it because he loved her and was protective of her.
"Hey Bruce, yeah I'm glad I was able to make it too" she replied giving him a warm smile. It was good to be here and hopefully it would be the first date of many she thought.
She smiled at him again, still rather nervous herself, "Sure, that would be lovely, some pop corn and maybe a diet coke soda please?" she asked softly, looking down at her feet and biting on her bottom lip slightly.
"Well of course I'm curious to see and know what you can do" Carla replied with a grin, "But I don't think here and now is a good place to show me, do you?" she asked with a slight nervous laugh. She wanted this date to go well. It had to go well.

She wanted to know, but thought that he couldn't exactly show her while they were in public. He thought about it, and decided just to tell her.
"I can control elements. Fire, Water, Air and Earth. Conjur, throw, anything I want. It's pretty interesting to use, and, I must admit, the other day when I was shaking your brothers hand, I kinda, heated my own up, intimidate him." He laughed.
"I found out when I was about 16, my parents, didn't like it. They thought I was a freak. They, went missing. I live by myself now"
He looked at her, she was looking down at the floor, nervously.
The man called for the movie to begin, for them to enter. "Ladies first" He said, and followed her in, sitting down, in the darkness.

Carla nodded her head as she listened to Bruce talk about his ability. "That is a pretty awesome and interesting ability" she replied with a grin. When he said he heated his hand up to intimidate her brother the day before, she pretended to give him a scolding look. "Now Bruce, really that wasn't very nice" she began and then laughed. "Teasing, he was certainly making things difficult for you, sorry about that" she added with a weak smile.
"Sorry to hear about your parents Bruce, that sucks big time, but then I don't have any parents either, mum died during childbirth with me and dad, well there was a house fire a while back" she said sadly. Not the best of subjects to be talking about on a first date, but how else were you meant to get to know each other she thought.
Soon they were called in as the movie was about to start, she settled herself down and gave a quick side look to Bruce and smiled, nervously and turned back to the screen.

"Lets not talk about this subject, ok? We are here to have fun, here for us" He said to her, and smiled. As the movie started, and it all went dark, he watched the light from the screen flicker off her face.
As the movie started, he considered whether to put his arm around her or not. After looking at her for a while, he decided to do it. Nervously, shakily, he put his arm up and around her. He looked at her, wasn't really interested in the movie, but he didn't want to push it, so he just sat there, smiling, and watching what ever was happening in the movie.
He started getting distracted, and wanted to show off, he held his hand in front of him, and conjured a ball of fire, just enough for her to see, and then put it out. He smiled at her, and conjured a ball of water in his hands.
"Watch this" He said, being a smart ass, and flung the water ball into the crowd, chuckling.
He didn't know if she would approve of his disruptive behavior, and changed his tone.
"Im sorry, I shouldn't have. I will stop now" He said, trying to stop another chuckle.

Carla managed to put on a smile for Bruce, even though she was still nervous as hell. "I agree, we shouldn't talk about such sad things, I want to have fun" she replied, as she leaned back in the seat and began to watch the start of the movie.
After a while, she felt Bruce try to put his arm up around her, as if he'd been thinking about it for some time. Just hurry up and do it already she thought to herself, and giggled to herself also. When she felt his arm was safely around her shoulders, she moved in toward him and began to cuddle in to him, and every so often would sneak a look at him.
He obviously wasn't interested in the movie much, as out the corner of her eye, she caught up conjure up a small fire ball, put it out and then conjured a ball of water. She couldn't help but smile and laugh at him as he did this. Very naughty she thought. Very naughty indeed.
When he threw the water into the crowd in front, she looked at him, and sort of laughed, and then sunk down in her seat. "You're terrible" she said, but couldn't help but laugh. He had been obviously wanting to show his powers off to her.Taking his lead, she started messing with her own powers, by lifting someone's cup of soda out of it's resting place and floated it across the row of seats, then a sudden noise in the movie made her jump and lose her concentration and the cup dropped right down on top of someone's head.
She turned round and looked at Bruce, and bit down on her bottom lip and then began to giggle. They'd be thrown out in a minute she thought. "Yeah, I shouldn't have either, so I guess we should both stop before we get thrown out" she replied with a grin, turning her attention back to the screen, but continuing to hug into him.

He looked, as a cup dropped on a guys head. He tried to hold back his laughter, but just broke up in laughter. He stood up, and grabbed her by the hand. "We better get out of here" He said, laughing, dragging her behind him.
He walked out of the cinema, and onto the street, still laughing and almost falling over.
"You are.. So bad, Carla" He said, holding her in his arms and leaning in to kiss her.

Bruce laughed when the cup fell on the guy's head, it was obvious he had tried to keep the laughter in but couldn't, so his laugh came out much louder than planned. Next thing she knew, he was grabbing her hand and running out the cinema with her.
"Yeah, maybe you're right" she said, as she followed him and continued to laugh. It was funny, some movie they'd been to see, they'd seen so much of it, she thought sarcastically, but couldn't stop laughing.
Carla's stomach was sore from laughing, and it was good to see Bruce laughing also. "I'm bad?" she questioned, with a grin, "You started it Mister" she added, and then laughed, but her laughter was ceased when he held her in his arms and kissed her. She kissed him back, and could feel herself smiling, and tingling with the kiss.

She claimed that he started it, and he played along with the joke.
"Well, Carla, I may have started it...." he said, continuing "But YOU finished it" He said, laughing some more.
They kissed, and it was the best thing he had felt in a long time, he started to get more into it, pulling her closer to him as he did. He loved the feel of her warm skin on his face as they stood together, as they kissed, outside, in the rain.
The wetness didn't bother him, he didn't even notice as it fell past and on top of him. All he was focused on was Carla, and how much he liked her. No matter whether he wanted to or not, he was extremely happy with the scene before him, and wanted it to last forever. The Nervousness had wore off, and he didn't want the night to end, and for Sam to continually question him, saying things like "What did you do with my sister?"
Bruce didn't really think that it was any of Sam's business, but Carla loved her big brother, and he didn't want to say anything.

"Yeah, yeah" she said grinning, knowing full well he was telling the truth. "I'm a good girl you're corrupting me Mr Adams" she said joking. "But you have to admit, it was fun, and the movie wasn't so great" she added and laughing.
When he kissed her, Carla got lost in the moment. It was simply magical. There they were standing outside the movies, rain falling down around them, and both of them kissing like they were in the middle of a tropical island or something.
Carla didn't want the moment to end, but even she knew she had to come up for air at some point. Pulling away gently, she looked at him, her eyes smouldering. "That was pretty awesome Bruce" she said barely in a whisper.
They hadn't seen all the movie, and Sam wouldn't be collecting her for a while yet, she wondered if they should head back to his house. "What do you want to do now?" she asked softly, "Maybe we could go back to your place for a while?" she added, probably not the best move, but really there wasn't anything else much to do.

Bruce kissed Carla for a long time, and it felt great. Gently, Carla pulled away, and told him how awesome the kiss had been. He didn't need to know, he felt it aswell. She felt great in his arms, so gentle and soft, so fragile and breakable, with a single slip of his ability, he could hurt her badly. Yet, at the same time she was so strong. Strong enough to bother to date someone like himself, someone who could kill her in a touch.
"Yeah, that was perfect" He replied to her about the kiss. She asked him what he wanted to do now, as they had not seen all of the movie, and had some time left. Then she suggested they go back to his place.
He didn't exactly feel comfortable, he didn't want to seem bad, or like he was trying to take advantage of her. He doubted if Sam would see it that way anyway. But looking into Carla's eyes, he wanted to keep her happy, if it went against everything he believed.
"I guess we can go back to my place for a bit, just, when we get there, you should call Sam. I don't want him to think i am making you do something you don't want to."
He took her hand in his, and started walking to his car, looking at her from the side, smiling, wondering how he had managed to get a girl that was as perfect as she was.

Carla blushed slightly when Bruce said their kiss had been perfect, she had to admit, it had been perfect. She'd loved every minute of it. A few days ago she didn't think she would have such a wonderful guy in her life, now she wasn't sure she could imagine life with out him. How could that be? It wasn't possible t love someone she'd only met a couple of days ago, surely?! She questioned herself.
Carla grinned when he agreed they could go back to his place, "Thanks Bruce, we'll have a good time" she said softly, meaning every word of it. She rolled her eyes when he mentioned about phoning Sam.
"Yeah, yeah I'll phone him when we back, I promise" she said and bit down on her bottom lip. Sam wouldn't get it, he'd kill her for sure. But Bruce had been a gentleman so far, she couldn't see him being any different.
She smiled when he grabbed her hand and walked her to his car. Looking at him and feeling really lucky to have him in her life.

"So? Any idea on what you want to do when we get back?" He asked her. "I mean, your underage, so that rules out drinking. Of course, don't even think that i would give you any alcohol in the first place." He wanted to show Sam that he really cared for Carla, and letting her drink wasn't going to help that.
"And, I don't exactly want to be fooling around either. No offense, I mean, of course i want to, your gorgeous, but, not now. I want to show Sam that I can look after you, and Sex isn't what I am after" He smiled.
"I suppose we could order take out, sit down and watch a DVD? Your choice, of course, but if you pick something as bad as that movie, I might have to... change your mind" He said, grinning nervously at her, catching a side glance at her.
