26th November, 2008She couldn't believe she was doing this. What was she thinking? She was going to get herself killed, and yet here she was, standing outside the building. She had gotten this far, why not continue onward.
One set of front doors was locked. "Of course." Evelane muttered under her breath as she shuffled to the other set of doors. Those were open no matter how much she wanted them closed.
The receptionist looked up, semi-startled, to see someone coming in. Eevee rolled her eyes, but continued forward. "I've got an appointment with someone named Angela Petrelli."
"Name, please?" The receptionist asked. This prompted a glare from Eevee. She knew the receptionist was reading her mind, she could feel it. "You know my name. Where is she?"
After getting directions, Eevee turned on her heel and walked to Angela's office. Let Angela not be there, please! Let her not be there! Of course she was there. Eevee knocked on the door and came in. She stood still like they would have her do in SWAT. "Ma'am?"

Another day at the office had begun, and after Mohinder's visit yesterday and her precognitive dream she was certain she was about to lose Gabriel from hear team as he once again started to go into the dark side. However she had promised Mohinder she'd hold a Thanksgiving dinner in which she hoped Gabriel would attend, and hopefully being involved and being part of the Petrelli family might be enough to make him feel as if he belonged somewhere.
She truly hoped it would be so anyway.
Today she had planned on hopefully recruiting another member to her team, another Double Agent, because she wasn't sure Hiro and Mohinder were enough. She had heard this woman was tough, and hopefully she'd do a good job and work well with her and the team.
Angela looked up when she heard a knock on the door and smiled when the woman came in.
"Please take a seat" Angela began, beckoning her forward with her hand. "I've heard good things about you Eevee and I am hoping you might agree to a proposal I plan to put forward to you" Angela said as she stood up, leaned forward and extended her hand out for the woman to shake.

Eevee still couldn’t believe she was doing this. She grasped Angela’s hand, but wasn’t really sure what Angela wanted her to do. She never shook hands with anyone, SWAT or not. Frowning on the inside, she grasped the hand lightly and then shook it briefly before letting it go like it was a snake.
But Eevee liked snakes.
This woman was much worse than even her most hated animal. She frowned with disgust as she sat down stiffly on the chair in front of Angela. She hated Angela, and yet here she was. She should have just stayed home. She nodded briefly, “Ma’am, I hope those things you heard about me didn’t come from my captain. He always likes to exaggerate me and my… female-ness.”
Taking a deep breath, Eevee continued, “There aren’t many female personnel in SWAT.” Why was Eevee continuing to talk? Why wasn’t she just shutting up? Why the hell did Eevee think this soft-hearted woman could understand her? “My captain thinks he’s special ‘cause he has me.”
Then Eevee’s face grew inquisitive. “Proposal? Of what kind?” She sat still in her chair, wondering why she had come here in the first place. Angela Petrelli smelled, but her smell was not welcoming like an animal’s smell or the smell of her team members. She smelled of bad news, and Eevee’s nose almost never lied. It had once, and she had gotten pregnant from it. ‘I’m doing this for you.’ Eevee thought to Emilee, her dead daughter.
"And please, unless you know me, don't call me Eevee."

Angela sat and listened to the woman talk some more and she soon realised she had a right live wire on her hands. She would be perfect for the job she had in mind. Absolutely perfect. She just continued to smile at her, hoping to make the woman feel as welcome as possible.
"Well, if that's the case, then I'll just have to get to see you for yourself, and forget what I've heard" Angela said, she had been trying to make the young woman feel comfortable, but she figured it wasn't really working too well.
"I'm sure your captain thinks your special because you do a good job" Angela said trying to keep her calm composure, and smiling warmly the whole time. If she couldn't make this young woman feel comfortable around her, they wouldn't have the best of working relationships and that would be bad for her, and bad for the young woman.
"I am putting together a team, a special team to help me take down villains who are over taking the States, I need special people to help bring them in and stop the chaos" Angela tried explaining. "I would like therefore, to offer you a position within my team as a Double Agent" Angela said, and she would go into more of an explanation, if the young woman either agreed to the proposal or asked for more information.
"And I do apologise Ms. Sanchez" Angela added, since she spoke up about not being called Eevee unless the people knew her.

Eevee felt like she had been bitten. Bitten by the most poisonous snake in the world. Bitten by a black widow. Bitten by a dog that won't let her hand go. This woman was vile for all she tried to act positively. Eevee had seen her personality only once before, and that cat had promptly been told to go somewhere else. It wasn't fair that she had to have control over animals only, or else she would be gone out of this place now.
But Eevee could only control animals and so she had no power over Angela. "Don't try to flatter me." Eevee growled under her breath when Angela implied that her captain thought she was special because she did a good job. Eevee forced herself to relax, though. If she couldn't like this snake then she couldn't like this job. And Eevee wanted to like this job because she wanted to avenge Emilee. She hadn't felt like she was avenging Emilee in her normal job, so Angela's job was her best bet.
Eevee smiled, but the smile held no warmth, no nothing. "How do you know that I am not a villain, Mrs. Petrelli?" Then Angela added the words 'double agent.' Eevee's smile was malicious. So she didn't have to chose, she would be hero and villain. She would do anything for Emilee.
"I'll work for you, Mrs. Petrelli." Eevee said, continuing to smile. "But you'll have to explain to me the job that you want me to do." 'Emilee,' Eevee thought, 'I hope you're happy. I'm going to kill the villains, all of them, for what they did to you... and to me.'

Angela gave a bemused look when Eevee told her not to flatter her, that wasn't what she had intended on doing, she was merely telling the truth for what she saw it to be. If she was wrong, she was wrong. She shook her head slightly.
"I wasn't trying to flatter you Ms. Sanchez" Angela said firmly, with a cold stare but holding that same smile just the same.
"Well of course I have no idea if you are a villain or not Ms. Sanchez but I was given your name on good word, and I believe the task at hand would be very suitable to you and your nature" Angela went on to explain. Angela needed people she could trust to pull off the villainous side, but still remain loyal to the Heroes, and she knew she could depend on Hiro and Mohinder, with everything she had heard about this Ms. Sanchez she would fit in very nicely also.
"I'm pleased to hear you are willing to be a part of my team" Angela said as she dropped the cold stare and warmed up to the woman a little. Now she was asking to know what she was required to do. This part would probably be a little more tricky.
"Well as you may or may not know there are a lot of villains around and they need brought down, however I feel I needed some trusted people to infiltrate on the villains, and report back to me or Elle Bishop about what they are planning, so we can then arrange a plan of attack" Angela went on to explain, hoping she'd made it clear enough for the woman to understand what she was asking of her. "Basically you will be appearing as a villain, but in all purposes you're really not one at all" she added with a smile.

Eevee considered saying that, no, she would rather not be a double agent. Of course she had already said yes, but Eevee was known to change her mind. Unfortunately, she had already promised the one person that mattered the most in her life: Emilee. Emilee was dead, as stated multiple times, but Eevee would never forget her daughter. Emilee had made the greatest impact in Eevee's life, and would forever be remembered by her mother. What mother would ever forget her sons?
Eevee looked the woman in the eye. Her cold stare was given back equally by Mrs. Petrelli. Of course, though, Angela changed her outlook when Eevee said she would join. It didn't mean anything to Eevee, joining or not. In fact, she didn't really even care if Angela was signing her up for life-time of jail, as long as she did what she thought she would help her daughter. Or, rather, the revenge of her daughter.
Eevee tried to restrain her facial expression, trying vainly to school it from a frown. Her forced smile came out as a smirk, of course. "A lot of villains. Let me guess, more villains than heroes, isn't that always how it is?" Eevee meant to smirk this time. At least she and Angela were cooperating. As long as Angela didn't ask more personal questions (she hated this one: 'Why do you want to work here?' and this one: 'What will you bring to this company?' The first one would make her explain Emilee *hint hint* and the second was already on the freakin papers Angela had in front of her), Eevee was fine.
Eevee shrugged, and allowed herself to recline in the chair. "Of course, a double agent would balance the scales considerably. I would be a hero and a villain. That could also be called neutral, but my acts would not be neutral, I assure you." Her grin looked wicked, but really she wasn't thinking about anything bad. "Who else consists of this team?"

Angela found she was liking this young woman very much, she had spirit she had to give her that. She had fire and she had attitude, all good attributes to working for Primatech. Angela felt this Ms. Sanchez would probably get on very well with Elle Bishop. They both seemed to have slight similar personalities she thought. Elle had fire in her too, in fact Elle and Eevee working together could work extremely well.
"There are rather a lot of villains yes, not that it started out that way, but yes they are increasing in numbers and they're causing a lot of trouble, killing heroes and innocent people alike" Angela said trying to explain why she needed them brought down, although she figured that was something she didn't really need to explain to this woman much.
"Yes being a double agent is almost like being neutral, except by portraying a villain you're actually helping the good side" Angela said, not that she felt it needed explaining, the woman was bright enough to understand what was being asked of her. "I have every faith in you that you can do the job" Angela continued with a smile.
Who else was on her team the woman had asked. Angela smiled before replying. "Well so far there is Elle Bishop, Mohinder Suresh and Hiro Nakamura. I did have an FBI Agent called Tony Osborne, however he sadly died" Angela explained. "Mohinder and Hiro are Double Agents like yourself, Elle more of an assistant to me, the Double Agents report back to Elle or myself. I do have plans to get another FBI Agent by the name of Matthew Parkman involved, but I've yet to get a hold of him" Angela explained some more.
"Well I'm glad you want to work for me Ms. Sanchez, but can I ask why you want to work here?" she asked.

Eevee was just not satisfied with what she was doing. She had been in SWAT for years, and she was good at it. She had been fighting baddies for years before that, and she was good at that, too. Hell, she was good at anything concerning guns and breaking down doors, which was her specialty. She could shoot targets in the head from fifty or more yards away, and that was just with a pistol. Her aim was excellent, her poise excellent, her everything was excellent. And yet Eevee didn’t think she could make it past this… this hurdle. She knew that she had to apply for this position; she would feel like crap if she didn’t. But she also knew that she had to apply because she knew it could work out, not just because Emilee needed her to.
Angela was boring. Angela Petrelli, leader of Primatech, was a boring woman. Eevee wanted to block out Angela and her droning voice, but could not. In fact, if Eevee would have blocked out Angela’s voice, she wouldn’t have heard what she needed to do. She knew what she needed to do, blow off villain’s heads. She would use some silver bullets if it helped, holy water if it was needed. Eevee twirled her finger, “Yeah, yeah, double agents, blah blah. I’ll be working with Moho-whatever and Hero. I’ll be answering to Elle and you. I get it.”
Then Angela asked the question. Eevee’s twirling finger stopped twirling. She growled and sat up straight from her leaning position. “Why do you want to know?” She scowled. “Of course you want to know, I shouldn’t have been so dumb.” Still scowling, Eevee growled out, “Emilee. Emilee made me do it. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t be sitting in this office having to listen to you.” She frowned; the frown containing memories of the past, if that is at all possible. “Emilee died because of me. I didn’t watch over her, and someone broke into the house. The robber killed her and stole my things. I think I caught him, but I’m not sure, and I’ve sworn to do whatever Emilee wanted me to do.” Eevee looked Angela right in the eye as she spoke this last statement: “Emilee told me to kill the villains. That’s what I’m going to do.”

The woman definitely had fire. That much Angela was sure. She had a very strong attitude, probably just the right kind of attitude Angela required. When the woman mocked her when she had told her what she would be doing, Angela just raised her eyebrow at her. She wouldn't normally take that kind of behaviour from anybody, but somehow Angela felt like she wanted to let this woman away with it.
"Well I'm glad you get it, we don't want any mistakes, I am hoping I have chosen the best of the best to help me with this mission" Angela said sternly, still with her eyebrow raised.
However Angela had obviously hit a raw nerve when she'd asked the woman why she wanted the job. If Angela didn't know any better she'd think Eevee was spitting fire at her. She decided not to interrupt her and just let her finish speaking before she said anything back to her. Instead she just nodded her head in what she hoped were the right places.
"Well I'm very sorry to hear about your daughter Ms. Sanchez, but I don't think you should be blaming yourself" Angela said trying to make the woman feel less guilty, although as soon as she said it, she realised she had probably said the wrong thing to her, however it was too late.
"Well you certainly have the fire I require for this job to be done, and I feel you will do a very good job it, for what ever reason you are here, I feel you will do the job justice" Angela replied as she smiled once more at the woman, and hoped she hadn't said anything else wrong.

Eevee decided she’d told the woman called Angela Petrelli enough. She realized that she had said enough, and knew that if she didn’t stop now, she never would. She felt her back stiffen further when Petrelli said nothing. Eevee would say nothing; she didn’t feel like pushing her luck. Already, she could tell the woman had wanted to strangle her or something.
Truth be told, Eevee wanted to do that and so much more. Maybe she’d have a mouse sneak into the older woman’s bed tonight to wake her up. Even more malicious, she would make a hissing spider visit her. It would hiss until the Petrelli woman woke up when it would then become silent, and when she fell asleep the spider would start up again. ‘No,’ Eevee decided uncheerfully, ‘I won’t make her loose sleep. But maybe she’ll find a companion when she comes in tomorrow.’
“This is great and all, but I’d best be going.” Eevee said after a moment of uncomfortable silence. “I’m sure you have my cell phone number. You can call me any time you want, but be warned: I won’t answer if I’m in uniform.” Evelane Sanchez stood up and inclined her head, stiffly but politely, to Angela Petrelli. Without asking permission to leave—frankly, Eevee didn’t care if she got on Mrs. Petrelli’s nerves or not—Eevee left the woman’s office. Then she left Primatech’s building, got into a cab, and left Primatech, and Angela Petrelli, behind.

An awkward silence fell between Angela and Eevee, Ms. Sanchez which allowed Angela time to think about things. The young woman was going to drive her crazy, yet in many ways she reminded her of herself. Independant, strong willed and very mouthy at times. Angela actually liked this girl, but she was definitely going to drive Angela crazy and cause a lot of frustrations.
The next thing Angela knew the woman was taking her leave. Angela nodded her head. "I do and I will, and thank you for your time" she said as she stood up, shaking Eevee's hand and then she watched her walk out the door to her office. When she was certain that she was far enough away from the office, Angela picked up her whiteboard cleaning block and threw it at the door in frustration, "Damn woman" she shouted and then laughed.
