18th November, 2008
Vick had come from a swim at the pool. He had just put on his robe and wiped his bald head dry. He strutted to the bar like and king and sat on one of the stools."Get me a cold beer. Make it quick." said Vick. Out from his wallet he pulled out his stolen card and paid for his drink.
With a quick gulp he killed half his drink. "Ahhh, refreshing..." Vick leaned his elbows on the counter and smiled. He was enjoying the good life. It was all covered since he wasn't the one paying for it. He had stolen someone elses identity and used it to pleasure himself. "This is the good life..."

Amy had been trying to track down her sons for a while now. Sad it seemed, she was desperate to get revenge on them for taking her husband's life so long ago. She had allowed hate to consume her and now it would seem she would not stop until she got that revenge. But at the same time, they were her sons, and she should love them and in many ways she did, she just hadn't been able to forgive them for her husband's death.
Now here she was in another State, with still no sign of them anywhere, soon Amy would be beaten, and she'd give up the fight, of that she was sure. She found herself walking into a bar needing a break and desperate for a drink. "Vodka and coke" she asked the bar tender for, as she sat on a stool at the bar pondering things over, wondering where she should go from here.

As he drank his beer he heard a lady sit next to him. "You're not from around here aren't you?" Vick pulled out his card and gave it to the bartender. "Vodka and Coke on me bartender." Vick turned towards this lady. He was captivated by her beauty. She was the perfect woman for Vick.
Vick always got what he wanted, this was no exception. By tonight this woman would be his. "So, you seem depressed and lost in a way. Talk to me I'm here for you.", Vick said sarcastically with a devilish smile.

"No, I'm not from around here" Amy said a little unsure. This man had just began to talk to her and she didn't know who the hell he was, and of course he wouldn't know who the hell she was either. Next thing she knew he was paying for her drink. She wasn't quite sure where to look. One thing she hadn't lost though, were manners.
"Thank you" she said to him for buying the drink for her.
She watched him out the side of her eye, not being able to properly look at him, at least not right away anyway. Lost and depressed, yeah she was that alright. But why would she tell him anything, she didn't know him. Turning to him and looking him square in the face.
"I am depressed and a little lost, but would I tell you? I mean other than buying me the drink which was very kind of you, I don't know you. Why would you want to know my problems?" she questioned him, but gave him a weak smile. Hostile as she was trying to be, she couldn't deny he was handsome looking.

"You should enjoy yourself here then. That's why we all come here in this resort." Vick remarked. He poured the vodka and coke into a glass and passed her the drink. "Take it, it'll help you out." Vick knew he was building friendship with this woman. Soon enough she would be his. "Don't be depressed, life is the main reason why we shouldn't be depressed. Isn't it great being alive?"
Vick had to make her feel happy. That was part of his plan to seduce her. "I want to help you. That's all I want is for you to stop being so sad all the time. Live the thrills!" Vick took a big gulp of his beer and stroked her hair. "You're so beautiful... don't let life go to waste..."

"I guess you're right" she said, still a little unsure of what this guy was wanting. Amy didn't usually give in so easily to people, and this situation was certainly no different. She didn't know him, but at the same time, she felt like she wanted to get to know him. But why? Why did she want to get to know him? She was still bitter over the death of her husband, disowned her sons. What did she have? Nothing. So what harm could it do to befriend this man, if that's what he wanted?
She watched as he poured the drink, and she smiled despite herself. "Thank you" she said again, taking a sip, and immediately feeling relaxed and she decided it might be safe to let her guard down, just a little.
"You're right, it is great to be alive, I should embrace that fact, not hide away from it" she said the words slowly, with a weak smile turning into a stronger one. She sighed, "So you want to know my story? I'll tell you my story" she said, sighing again.
"My sons have abilities also, one of them gave me this burn down my arm, and one of them killed my husband, accidentally I know that, but I let rage and anger consume me, and now I hate them, I can't even bare to think of their names and that hurts so much, what mother should hate their children?" she asked him sadly with bitter undertones. She could feel tears smarting at her eyes, and she really didn't want to cry in front of this guy who seemed so tough. She bit on her bottom lip to try and bite back the tears.
"So, now you know, still reckon you can help me?" she asked sadly but held the smile. When he stroked her hair however, she sort of jumped back a little, having not been used to such attention for a while, she wasn't sure how to handle it.
"Sorry" she began, "Just not used to the attention and it's been such a long time since someone called me beautiful.." she said trailing off as she took another sip of her drink and looked into his eyes, her own darting from left to right as they searched his face.

Vick paid attention to her story, hoping to catch some detail that he could use as a tool to get closer to this woman. She began talking about life and all that jazz. Until she came across the topic of abilities. She mentioned her sons 'also' had abilities. It was very probable that she had abilities as well. Maybe this woman was much more than Vick thought she would be.
As the woman rambled on about her life, Vick was thinking about several ways to make this woman fall for him. She began looking at him and back. Vick had an idea. This was a perfect chance to use his illusion powers. He reached for her hands and then walked to the center floor of the bar. The lights were dimmed and there was a disco ball on the ceiling.
"Dance with me, I want to show you something..." As Vick went for Amy's arms, he created an illusion where the surrounds changed to a fancy ballroom with elegant music playing. "You're not alone. Forget about the past. Dance and celebrate the future..." The violins and the orchestra played a mellow romantic tone. The disco ball changed into a chandelier, the tiles on the floor became luxurious maple wooden floorboards.

Amy began to wonder if she'd said too much about her life. Wondered if she'd bored this guy. He didn't look like your regular guy, in fact as handsome as he looked, she could tell there was more to him. He seemed to have some sort of villainous aura if that was even possible, but the longer she spoke to him, the more she felt some sort of attraction to him. Like a lure. Like she was being pulled in by him.
However, the next thing she knew he had taken her hands and walked to the center of the floor and asked her to dance with him. What should she say? Well she could hardly say no, because she was already there in the middle of the dance floor.
"Alright then, since you've already pulled me here, I may as well dance with you" she said with a slight laugh, they didn't even know each other's names yet. Here she was in the middle of a dance floor which as she looked again had changed in appearance. At the same time he spoke, telling her to forget the past and move on with the future. Maybe he was right.
"Maybe you're right" she said with a gentle sigh, as she felt her walls finally being broken down, and instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck as she brought her face in close and rested it on his shoulder. Somehow, it just seemed natural. "I'm Amy, by the way" she added as she continued to keep her head on his shoulder.

Vick smiled and danced slowly to the balled being played by the illusionary orchestra. "Nice to meet you Amy, I'm Vick." A gentle smile grew on Vick's face. He knew that he had already won. "That's a nice dress you're wearing..." At the moment Amy was wearing casual clothes, but in a split second, it changed to an extravagant evening gown. A beautiful diamond necklace was hung on her neck.
"Enjoying the dance madame?" Vick created a tuxedo with his illusionary ability. He smirked at the thought that he easily captivated this woman. Or so that's what he thought. Maybe she was just a depressed soul needing someone. Oh well.

"Well, it's nice to meet you too Vick" Amy said, still not entirely sure what she was letting herself on for, or what she was really doing. All she knew was she had all this built up hate inside her for years, hellbent on finding her sons to kill them, and suddenly she felt like everything in the past had been taken away from her. Like a miracle, if that was at all possible.
When he said she was wearing a lovely dress though, Amy was mystified. She had been wearing jeans and a satin strappy top and when she looked she was wearing an extravagant evening gown and a diamond necklace was around her neck. Suddenly she was brought back to reality as she realised everything around her had changed, including herself.
"How...what? Why?" she stammered as she tried to string a sentence together. "How are you doing this?" she finally managed to ask as she watched on in amazement. "However, in answer to your question, I am enjoying the dance, even though I now have no idea where I am, with everything having changed the way it has" Amy replied, as she began to wonder if he had an ability to that, and if so, how dangerous could that ability be?

"I'm a very unique person, Miss Amy. I can make you see, feel, hear whatever I want you too. But don't worry, I'm not a bad guy." Vick said sarcastically. He continued dancing and hummed the tune that the orchestra played. Vick didn't feel sorry for this woman at all. In fact, he didn't listen to any of her stories. All he wanted was a good time this night. Maybe, she would become a useful tool if she would join him.
As Vick leaned closer to Amy's ear he whispered something, "I have a nice view in my room, it's the real thing over there..." The illusion was great, but it didn't feel real. "This is just an illusion, it's much more romantic and real in my suite..."

Amy listened as he told her he was a very unique person. She wasn't totally convinced however when he said he wasn't a bad guy, she had a feeling he was. But she shrugged it off, she didn't want to think about it too much.
"You certainly seem unique" was all she could manage to say. She wanted to comment on the bad guy bit, but decided to keep her mouth closed thinking she might ruin what was apparently a good thing. Who cared if it wasn't to last, even if it just ended up being this one night, why waste it she began to think.
When he whispered into her ear, that was when she realised what had happened. He had an ability too, he could create illusions. She knew something had been going on. Dare she go back to his apartment though. What harm could it do Amy she thought.
"Sure, then, why not, wasn't looking for a night to end quite like this, but now that it has, I think I rather like it" she said breathing her hot breath into his ear. "So, what you waiting for big boy?" she asked getting a little provocative and demanding.
