February 15th That stupid plane-hostage thing had done nothing but to get on Riley’s nerves. So she asked Brennan, her frequent-flyer man, to take her somewhere, anywhere. Of course, the man had looked at her like she was dying. And, of course, he asked her what she had done to make herself leave the state. ‘Nothing,’ she’d answered, and he believed her, because Riley never lied to Brennan. Indeed, she had done nothing.
Well, except for be on a plane that Sylar kidnapped.
“I don’t want to go out of the United States, Brennan.” Riley said, holding onto the man as he flew over countless houses and rivers. “I dunno, maybe somewhere less populated?”
Brennan shrugged, “Wherever you want to go. Urban or Rural?”
Riley thought for a second, and then nodded to herself, “Drop me off near a video game store.”
Ten minutes later, Brennan had dropped Riley off at a Gamestop (Or some game store) somewhere in the outskirts of Lawrence, Kansas. Riley grinned as she entered the store, and then stopped halfway through the door to wave at Brennan, who flew off quickly. Everyone was so jumpy nowadays! What was wrong with them?
Dismissing the thought from her brain, Riley entered the store. Elle had bought her a Wii, and she currently loved Super Smash Brothers Brawl. But she also had a Xbox 360, and played Left 4 Dead whenever she wasn’t out with Sylar or… just out. She was an avid game player, and loved almost any genre except for sports.
‘Crap, I was supposed to take Child out today.’ Riley thought to herself, thinking about her little puppy, Child of Tomorrow. The black dog was her ‘zodiac’ dog, though Riley still didn’t know how being a zodiac was so special. Did that make her powers stronger? Riley didn’t know, all she knew was that she needed to take the puppy out for a walk.
She picked up a copy of the Pokemon game Pokemon: Platinum, and turned it over to read the back. Suddenly she felt like she was being watched. She knew that feeling well, especially with Sylar or going out with Elle on one of her missions (which she didn’t do often). But she did know that feeling. Someone was undoubtedly watching her.

Evan Anders was looking for his new target – it was the Bishop girl who tended to hang out with that serial killer Sylar or Gabriel Gray. To be honest, the Bishop girl was kind of off limits – like that Bennet-Rosen girl, but it would seem at last minute that the higher ups wanted this girl captured. She was a danger to the public because of something to do with a thing called a Zodiac.
What the hell was this world coming too? First those evolved humans and now Zodiac’s something wasn’t feeling right in this wasn’t supposed to be in the real world. It was supposed to happen in the comic book world or in the video game world. Not in the real world. Next these people will claim to be abducted by aliens.
Anders wandered through a town outside of Lawrence, Kansas. There were reports that Bishop was in the vicinity of either this town that he was in or Lawrence. He got on his radio and demanded to know if anyone could find Bishop. So far, no one had found her. However, there was a report of a man flying out of Lawrence. Evan rolled his eyes and decided that perhaps she was in Lawrence and he probably knew where to find her.
He started to walk out of the area that he was at. “Come on, team I think I know where Bishop is” He said as he climbed into the driver’s seat of a Nissan Rogue. He then waited for his team to get into the vehicle. Once everyone was in the vehicle he drove off to Lawrence which was only like a five minute drive to where they were at.
As Evan drove into Lawrence – he was debating in his mind where the Bishop girl should be. She had to be in this town somewhere. That flying man had to have something with her dropping off. He pulled the car over. “I’m going to scout the area, call the rest of team and I’ll be back in fifteen minutes” Evan said to the people that were in the Rogue with him.
He then stepped out of the vehicle and started to scout the area. He had a gut feeling that the Bishop girl was in the local video game store. He had read in her file that she loved video games. Sadly, Evan loved video games also – perhaps this store had the game that he was looking for. He had been on a mission to find Halo Wars for his XBOX 360.
He browsed through the XBOX section and hopeless wandered into the Nintendo DS section. He was going to get Pokemon. Scary – but he had a soft spot for Pokemon. He stood a few feet back from where the girl was, hoping she would move soon. He wanted to get the Pokemon and not be the laughing idiot of this town – which he wasn’t from. A few minutes had passed and then all of sudden he recognized the teenager – it was Bishop.

The girl knew there was a man behind her. She’d seen him near the XBox games before, searching for something that obviously wasn’t there. She had kept him in the side of her sight, watching him carefully. He seemed to be one that played video games, but he was wearing a suit for heaven’s sake! As if he didn’t stand out enough already. When he moved behind her, Riley kept her eyes trained instead on the back of the Pokemon box.
Riley spent a couple more minutes studying the box, trying to get the man mad. If he was after her, she’d take her time. She didn’t want to be captured without a fight. Finally, the girl set the box back and turned. She ‘almost’ bumped into him. She looked up at him and smiled stubbornly. “Oh, did you want to look at these?” She asked almost innocently. “Sorry.”
She moved slowly around him and made her way to the Xbox games. She idly picked up the game case for Left 4 Dead, though she already had the game. She watched the man watch her, and her mind began to whirl quickly. Should she call Gabriel? Yes, she should! How about Elle? Yes! The question was, who to call first? Elle was her sister, but Gabriel—Gabriel could help her. When he man seemed to be absorbed in the back of the Pokemon box she’d just been looking at, she made her move.
Coincidentally, when she rammed herself into the DS games rack and sent it sprawling all over the ground—and hopefully on the suited dude, there were two people walking in. The man walking into the door as well as the small girl who looked like Riley—and for that she was lucky—raced out it. She turned and raced through the staff room to the back door. She was in so much trouble.
She pulled out her cell phone and pressed ‘3, Gabriel’s quick-dial number. This she did even as she raced across the parking lot to another store. ‘Pick up, pick up!’ Riley thought, jabbing the phone to her ear. No such luck; a second later the operator came on and said she’d reached Gabriel Grey’s voice mail. When the tone sounded, she cried out, “Gabriel, They’re after me; the hunters or whatever were in the game store I don’t know how long I can keep them off me! Hurry Gab—“ Riley dropped the phone to which she cried, “Dammit!” The phone had broken apart.
She hurriedly stooped and picked up her phone lest they want to use it to find Gabriel, Elle, Brennan, or anyone else’s whereabouts. She threw it into the back of a truck, keeping the memory chip, as she ran past it, rying to make the throw discreet, and then raced into a Walmart. The greeter looked at her dully and said, “Welcome to Walmart.” Riley nodded to him fervently and continued to walk. ‘Must act normal’ she thought as she headed for the kitchen supplies.

Evan Anders was sort of furious the game that he wanted on XBOX wasn’t even out. His teammates had told him that it was on. However, it wasn’t out it wasn’t out till next month. Idiots Evan thought to himself as he shook his head. He then noticed that the girl knew his presence. He then realized that he was wearing a suite.
This could get awkward. He just watched her for a couple of minutes. She was kind of studying a box. Of course, she was probable smart enough to realize that he was after her. She had to have friends that he had captured. Of course, she was the one that was the youngest at the moment and time. He was lost in his thoughts when he realized that the girl ‘almost’ bumped into him. “Yeah” he said in a cautions voice as he stepped forward and looked at the games.
Evan didn’t pay much attention to the girl. Okay, he was but he was trying not to make it seem like he was. He was sort of bad at it. He would rather protect the cabinet then this crack job that he was now in charge of. Nevertheless, he was going to get this job done. He was going to make the President happy and not disappoint the President – he wasn’t that kind of person. He hated disappointing people. It made him weak and he just hated that.
The Canadian wasn’t paying much attention – yet again as he heard a crash. He looked up and backed away as the DS games rack feel to the ground. The girl knew that he was up to something. He was going to let her get away, but in the end he was going to be the victor, not the loser. He then saw a man and a small girl that resembled Riley, but he knew that it wasn’t her. He got on his cell phone. “This is Anders all teams, get your asses we got a runner, on Main Street in Lawrence” He spat into the phone as he headed out the door.
He placed his phone in his pocket and tried to figured where the girl would go. She couldn’t have got at the far. She just couldn’t unless she was a speedster. Of course, Evan had read Riley’s file and she was a shield not a speedster. Thank god he was shape. He ran towards where he thought that she would go and stopped dead in his tracks. “Son of a bitch” He said to himself as all of sudden. He felt as if he knew what she was doing – she was calling Sylar. How the hell did he know this? He wondered to himself as he ran towards a random store.
As he ran into a random store he got a phone call. He answered it saying that his guys had found Riley in Wal-Mart and that they were on route. He told them that he was also on his way and that they shouldn’t attack. Just survey the store. He then called the local law enforcement agency. “This is Evan Anders of the US Marshals I just wanted to inform you that me and my men are going into Wal-Mart because we have a terrorist on the loss in your fair city” He said as he hurried to Wal-Mart.
He then hung up with the agency and headed into Wal-Mart. As he entered the building – something was terribly wrong. Because all of sudden the lights in Wal-Mart had went off. He looked down at his phone and noticed that he had a map of Wal-Mart on his phone and a red dot that said Riley. Riley was in kitchen. What the hell was happening to him? He thought to himself as he slowly headed towards kitchen supplies.
