October 2, 2006 Los Angles, California Walker’s Residence Rebecca Walker had got a call from an cop around ten in the morning about her family. Her father was dead along with her step mother. She had felt so guilty since she was suppose to have breakfast over there but she saw a car at her dad’s house and thought it was a patient of his so she left and now they were gone. She sighed as she parked her car on the road next to the house. Becca got out of her car and walked over to the yellow tape they had put up. Se bent under it now walking into the house stopping when she saw her dad frozen. His power. Did they know about us? Was this a trap? Where the hell is Molly? She closed her eyes when she saw her step mom on the wall. She had to stay strong and not cry over this but deep down Becca thought she saw the man who killed them. Becca wished she lived with them but she had gotten a apartment four years ago after all she was twenty-two now. She needed her own space. She brushed a hand threw her pony tail then wiped her eyes on her UCLA sweat shirt. Her whole life had changed with one phone call. She had to make sure her sister was safe and that no one would take her or find out about their powers. "Where the hell is my sister?" (ooc: thought Matt could be next then i'll bring in Molly.)

Matt couldn't believe the scene he had to walk into in this house, it was quite tragic. Even after all this time working for the police department he still couldn't understand why a human could kill another human. It was, well it was inhumane. As he and his partner had been surveying the crime scene Matt could hear quiet mutterings of somebody, a young child. It wasn't words being spoken out loud, these were thoughts only Matt could hear of course.
Most of the police had searched everywhere and hadn't found anybody else other than the two bodies. But Matt knew there was somebody else there, he had heard the thoughts of this person. He began to search through the apartment again even though his partner was somewhat annoyed by his behaviour. He simply told her that there was somebody else in the apartment. Of course she refused to believe him, and yet he couldn't say why he knew.
He approached a small cupboard which was located under the stairwell, the thoughts he had heard previously were much stronger, along with what he was certain were very light sobs. He pulled the door open and there she was. The prettiest little girl he'd seen for a long time and she looked terrified. He held his hands out to her with a smile "It's alright, you're safe now" he had told her and then he took her away to a safer part of the apartment and stayed with her.
That's when he heard the voice of another female he didn't recognise, shouting for their sister. He approached her with a weak smile. "Matthew Parkman here, I believe I know who you might be looking for" he said, as he stepped to the side, with his hand on Molly's back.
[ooc: hope this is alright]

Molly was scared not knowing if the man who came into their house had returned. She stayed quite till the door opened and she screamed but he said he was a cop with the look in his eyes she believed him. She had been with Officer Parkman away from the scene of the crime when she heard her sister. Molly was still scared because of what happened.
When Matt put his hand on her back she moved a bit till she saw Becca. She walked slowly to her then rushed to her side grabbing her for dear life. After what she heard she wanted to be with her sister now more then ever. She wasn’t ready to talk but she just stayed in her sister’s embrace closing her eyes trying to go back to bed after this tragic morning.
Molly then felt the need to tell her sister something about what happened. “Officer Parkman saved me from the Boogeyman.” In her sister’s embrace Molly Walker spoke the first words she had since her screams had stopped.

Becca looked at the man who walked over to her. He looked like a cop but she didn’t want to assume anything but she did once she saw Molly. She started to cry seeing her sister rush over to her. Becca pulled her into a hug picking her up like she was a baby. It was so hard to figure out why this had happened, her dad and step mom were nice people who wouldn’t do anything to get into this trouble. She held onto her sister for dear life till she heard her statement. Becca looked up at Matt smiling. “Well thank you Officer Parkman.”
After the FIB made sure she was who she said she was they took her and Molly to her dad’s home office. She knew that she would be getting questions asked about what she was doing. Molly was on her lap sleeping while she brushed her sister’s hair. She took a sip of her tea as she looked around her father’s room.
She had so many memories about his office even the one back in Kansas where she had spied on him many times. This was different her dad was dead and she and Molly were alone. Ever since she moved to California to go to school and be closer to her dad her mother wasn’t speaking to her which made this a million times worse. “Who did this to them?” She asked Matt since he had stayed sitting with her since she came. Becca thought it was very kind of him since he was only doing his job by saving her sister.

Matt watched as the young girl, Molly began to walk over to her sister, and then ran to her, holding onto her so tightly it would seem so her sister wouldn't go anywhere. He couldn't blame the young girl, after all she had been through a terrifying ordeal. He couldn't begin to think what it must have felt like for her. When he heard her telling her sister that he had saved her from the Boogeyman, Matt gave the older girl a weak smile. He guessed he might have saved the young girl, but he hadn't been quick enough to save their parents.
"You're welcome, but please you can just call me Matt, everybody else does" Matt replied, as he gave her a warmer smile, he was sure the both of them had been through enough upset to give them anything but a warm smile.
Once they went into Becca's father's office, Molly was soon asleep on her lap and Matt watched as she gently brushed her sister's hair, the affection between the two was adorable. What he wouldn't do to have a family he could call his own.
"We're not sure who did this to them, but I can assure you we will do everything we can to find out, they will not get away with this" Matt said in a firm voice to Becca. He honestly didn't know who had done the dirty deed, but the fact Molly called them or him the Boogeyman made Matt think it must have been an evolved human like himself.

Becca held onto her sister smiling as the officer told her to call him Matt. He was defiantly different from the other officers who kept asking her stupid questions like if her family had any enemies. Her father was becoming a well known shrink around the area and her step mom was just a housewife who had book clubs. Becca had no idea why would anyone want to hurt her family in less they knew about their powers.
Becca sat with Matt waiting till he would start to ask her questions. She knew it would be only time for him to ask something. I know who did this. Her eyes shut recalling the man she saw going into this house before she drove off not even thinking about what he was doing there so early in the morning. She almost jumped when she heard Molly sighed and turned over to get in a better comfy position.
She looked at Matt sighing. “What’s going to happen to Molly?” She didn’t want her sister to be sent away but she had no idea if she could raise her on her own while still getting used to her job as a nurse ever since she had killed a man. It couldn’t be him. Could it? She was now back on the fact that it might be the man she saw this morning but she had no idea if it was him or not.

Matt hadn't bothered to ask any questions because he usually read the thoughts of people around him to help solve the cases, however, he hadn't purposefully read this young woman's mind because he didn't want to impose so soon after she had just found her younger sister. But he figured he'd have to start asking questions if he didn't want her to get suspicious.
However, he couldn't help but hear the thought which came from her this time about somebody being in the house that morning. Of course he didn't want to startle her by just coming out and asking who it was she thought she saw that morning. Instead he tried a slightly different approach, "You don't remember seeing anything or anybody suspicious at any point?" he asked, as he looked at her and watched as the younger girl made herself more comfortable and continued to sleep.
She then asked what was going to happen to Molly. Matt raised his eyebrow a little, the older girl must have felt she couldn't look after her. "You unable to look after her yourself I take it?" he asked, and then wondered if it would seem a stupid suggestion since neither of the girls at this moment really knew who he was. "If you don't want her sent away anywhere, she could, well she could always come live with me and my flat mate" Matt suggested with a weak smile, at least that way Becca could come and visit her sister as often as she liked if that's what she wanted.

Becca was in her own thoughts as she looked at Matt as he asked that question to her. “Um I….” She closed her eyes and began whimpering like she was Molly’s age. She was scared to tell them that she could have stopped this whole thing. “I was coming over here for breakfast. Dad calls…” She stops now remembering he was gone. “He called it Wacky Walker Breakfast. I was leaving a message here on the answering machine when I saw a man at the door with my dad.” She shook her head now knowing it had to be the killer. “I thought he was a patient of my dad’s so I left and figured I would come over for lunch.”
She patted Molly’s back hoping she wouldn’t wake up from her crying. She looked at Matt as he said he could take care of Molly. It was just weird of him to ask her that. She shook her head now looking at her sister. “Molly’s sick. Its too much money to get her better. My dad and I took her to his friends work. They said they could help her but now after this we defiantly don’t have the money.”
She couldn’t let Matt take care of Molly even if her sister’s power was gone. She recalled them going to the Company and her father yelling at an older women that he wasn’t going to force Molly to do something or find someone for them. Becca came to the decision that she would take a job with the Company so they would save Molly. She would call the man named Bennet and tell him that she would take the deal.

Matt watched closely as Becca got herself upset over his question. He hadn't meant to cause that, but at the same time, it was getting results. "So you thought the person at the door was a patient of your father's, but now you're thinking he was the killer? Can you describe him to me?" he asked Becca, as he handed her over a clean handkerchief from his pocket for the tears she had began to cry.
Matt nodded his head, it was stupid to have asked the girl if he could look after Molly, she was just a stranger to him. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked you that, I'm a stranger to you both, I just thought I could help somehow" Matt tried to explain feeling very foolish now.
When Becca went on to explain about Molly not being well and being unable to afford the treatment, Matt couldn't help but think about his flat mate again, he was a doctor after all. "My flat mate is a doctor, he might be able to help" Matt couldn't help but say, and then he allowed himself to read her thoughts again. Even if her sister's power was gone.
He decided to project some thoughts into her mind, he wanted to tell her something but didn't want any of the other FBI agents to hear him.
'Don't be scared. I have a power too, mine is telepathy, it sounds like your sister may suffer from Shanti Virus, and my flat mate and friend, Doctor Mohinder Suresh can help' he projected the thought to Becca, while smiling at her the whole time. He just hoped he wouldn't freak the girl out.

Becca looked up taking the handkerchief from Matt slightly smiling at the officer. “He was tall over six foot.” She began while she wiped away the tears. “He had a baseball cap on but it looked like his hair was brown.” She closed her eyes trying to remember as much as she could. “He looked normal.” Her eyes dart open now glancing so often at Matt. “He wore new clothes that looked normal. I didn’t see his face. I thought he was just someone who needed my dad’s help.” It was taking all her nerve not to start crying from remembering what happened.
She chuckled at him as she took his hand. “It was very kind and I’m sure Molly would have liked that. You did save her from all of this.” She looked at her sister who was now stirring about to wake. “I know Molly. She will always have a place for you in heart and so will I.” She felt somewhat better as her stages of grief were spinning out of control.
“A doctor?” She questions now having hope in her eyes. Maybe Matt could help them after all. Becca closed her eyes and held onto her head. She just got a super headache but she heard voices now no she heard Matt’s voice.
After the voices stopped she glared at him. He had a power just like her. “Suresh? I don’t care about that man!” She got off the couch moving Molly so she would still stay sleeping before grabbing a book off her father’s desk. “He could have killed my dad.”
She threw Dr. Suresh’s book at Matt. “That man called my father asking about us.” She shook her head as she looked at the book that wasn’t published yet. The ground started to shake some since Becca was now even more pissed than she had been. “He wanted us for research so no I will not let my sister me helped by Dr. Chandra Suresh.” She could only glare at him not caring if anyone else was looking at her. Becca started to breath heavily as the ground stopped shaking.
(OOC: Becca starts working for the Company when she sends Molly there. So that’s why I’m not having her be like oh ya Moho can help me lol)

As Becca described the man as best she could, Matt wasn't sure if it was the serial killer they were after or not, but it had to be, given the state the bodies were in when they were found, it was typical of the serial killer who was going around and killing people with powers. He had already investigated the murder of the cheerleader who should have been Claire Bennet, but Peter Petrelli had saved her.
"Thanks for the description Becca, I'll certainly look into it back at the office, we'll get this man one way or the other, looking at the bodies, it sure looks like the serial killer we're already after" he said to her in a kind voice tinged with sadness, after all she had just lost her parents, he couldn't be overly happy.
"You're welcome, I wasn't even aware she had an older sister to be honest, so I sort of got a little attachment to her, if that makes sense at all?" he gently explained, smiling at her words as he took his hand in her own. "Well, guess she'll always have a friend if nothing else" he added.
The quiet scene they had been sharing with each other was soon turned around after he had projected the thoughts into Becca's head, he hadn't expected her to react in quite such a way, and he began to feel the ground beneath his feet shake. So she had an ability as well. It was true a lot of people didn't like the way Chandra did things, but Matt knew Mohinder was different.
"I'm sorry Becca, I didn't mean to upset you, but honestly Mohinder is nothing like his father, but I will not force the issue, I'm not that kind of man" Matt replied, as he was glad to see the ground stop shaking, or feel it stop shaking.

Becca looked at him not sure what he was saying. “There’s a serial killer out there?” I need to read the news. She had no idea that there was someone out there killing people and now it looked liked her family would be put into the press. “That’s so sick.” She really didn’t understand why people would kill others because it was fun.
Becca sat back down looking around the room before looking at Matt. “Thank you.” She looked at Matt hoping he would get the hint and read her mind. My ability can hurt people. I’m not sure I can be dealing with any of this. She sighed looking at Molly hoping her sister would turn out okay after all of this. “If I’m around the press or if they know where I am I don’t know what I would do.” She was afraid that her power would show itself when she got bombarded with all of these questions.

"Yes I'm afraid there is" Matt replied, "We've found a few bodies with similar markings, obviously the same person" he continued, as he gave Becca a weak smile. This must be very difficult for her, both parents killed and having a younger sister to look after when she had her own life to lead as well. "You're right, it is sick, which is exactly why we need to catch this son of a bitch" Matt said in a strong voice. How could they have done that, knowing it was leaving a young girl like Molly on her own, well she wasn't on her own as it happens, but if she hadn't a big sister, then she'd have been alone.
"You're welcome" Matt said as he watched Becca sit back down again and look at him. That was when he heard her thoughts, it was if she had been telling him to read them. He projected thoughts into her head again.
'Many people like us have dangerous abilities, our emotions can affect them a great deal. Any way I can help you deal with it to save you from hurting people?'
"I could see to it that the press don't come and bother you" Matt said giving Becca a warm smile, he could tell people things and make them believe in something else all he had to do was stare at them, get into their mind and tell them, there was nothing to see, nothing to do and they'd move along.

Becca shook her head knowing that this was just so wrong. Her family was gone and now she had to raise Molly alone with no one to watch over them. “I hope you find him.” Just then she heard Matt’s thoughts as he gave them to her. All she could do was shake her head and tell this man in a low whisper what she really could do. “I can make Earth quakes.” She looks back up at him almost ready to cry. “I can hurt so many people. I need you to make sure my sister is safe.” As she gives him a look she sees her sister wake up. She didn’t want to discuss this anymore with Molly now up. “I’m going to take Molly back to my apartment so if you need anything please call.” It was just weird to say that when everyone else kept telling her that same statement. Los Angles, California Becca’s Apartment She had managed to get Molly to eat something but it was harder then she had thought it would be. Becca moved to her bed seeing her sister there holding her stuff animals. “Molls.” She couldn’t get another word out before Molly spoke. “When will it stop?” Becca gives her sister a look as she holds her while playing with her hair. “I don’t know sweetie.” Molly grabs a hold of her wrapping her small body around her sister. “I want it to stop.”Becca closes her eyes trying to hold in her cry but cant stop it from coming out. “Me too Molly. Me too.” With that the Walker sisters feel asleep holding on to each other hoping that the pain they felt would go away. As they slept someone a guardian angel was out there searching for the man who caused the pain. Little did either of them know but that angel would be more apart of their lives then they would ever think of.
