They threw him out of England, they threw him out of France and here he is, in godforsaken America. Last time he was here, Bush 2.0 was President and Mr. Serverus Jericho Saxon didn't like baseball. Now, the Reign of Error of the Bush administration has ended with President Obama steering the country away from the crisis that was Bush and Mr. Saxon still doesn't like baseball.
Enough of politics because right now the good-looking blonde haired man wearing a double breasted suit is standing outside the premises of a local high school somewhere in California. A couple of days ago he was in New York and his right hand got banged-up with an incident he had with an electrifying teenager, literally. Lucky for Saxon he's got all these powers to protect him. That's right powers. 'Powers beyond your wildest dreams' Mr. Saxon always told his dying patients. Well not exactly, there's always a 'And I'm going to steal more' line that comes afterwards.
That's why he's here. From what he got from the 'kid', there's someone here with an ability. Rumoured to be the daughter of the 'President' of what he heard as the Company. A Company hunting down specials like him. Wanting information about this group and a new shiny power to boot, the madly grinning Scots man walked into the school's premises.
He heard the school bell rang out and students rushed into their classes in order for them not to be late. He saw speakers built around the hallway and he guessed that there must be an 'intercom' in the principal's office. He then went straight to the said office and a few minutes later, he was talking to a fifty year old man.
"Good morning," Serverus said with a grin on his face, "Is there any chance that a girl named Riley Bishop studies in this fine institution of yours sir."
"I cannot say that this is a fine institution sir, but yes we do have a student that goes by that name," Saxon heard the man reply, "May I ask why Mr?"
"Saxon," the man said and as sat in front of the principal's desk, "You see sir. Ms. Bishop is a family friend and I being a family friend has come all the way from New York to...tell her that her cousin has gotten into an accident. Being the doctor that I am and a good friend of her father, I'm here to tell her of the news and hopefully pick her up. Surely we can arrange the classes she'll be missing for quite some time."
"How long will she be gone?" Saxon heard the principal inquire.
"I'm afraid her father might not let her come back here anymore. It's hard to say, but if you can pull her out of the class in order for me to talk to her, "Mr. Saxon placed a stack of hundred dollar bills on the table and he grinned, "I think we'll both be able to benefit from this. The sooner I tell her, the sooner I'll be able to leave. The sooner you call her, the bigger this stack will be."
Saxon saw the principal smile and the older man pressed a red button on the table. He leaned towards the desk and Saxon heard him say, "Ms. Riley Bishop. Someone needs to see you in the Principal's Office. To whoever her teacher is right now, please excuse the young lady."

Today had been a strange day.
No, really, it had. First Riley had had a strange encounter with an old pal whom she’d thought was going to kill her, or at least the school. Gabriel never did anything without a reason, and Riley was still puzzling as to what that reason was. Maybe it was as simple as figuring out what Riley was doing—he hadn’t seen her for a month, after all. But what was keeping him from visiting her at home and not at school? Did he really need his teenager act more than he knew, or was he doing it just to keep her in trouble, not out?
Then came the principle over the loud speaker. What was worse than that? Maybe Gabriel had changed his mind and came back to pick Riley up…? Well, sure, anything to get her out of class. Her current class was Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus. It was horrible, and boring. Her teacher’s name didn’t make it any better: Mr. Boring. She was about to slump over in sheer boredom when the intercom rang. Mr. Boring looked up from the book he was reading from, and then looked at Riley. Several classmates snickered under their hands, their eyes the only things showing their laughter. For her part, Riley just glared at them. She’d get them back later.
Unbeknownst to her, there might not ever be a later.
Riley got up and packed her things. She looked to Mr. Boring, and the math teacher nodded. He knew where she was going. Probably the whole school knew where she was going by now. To the Principle’s office. Only bad kids went to the Principle’s Office. Riley, apparently, was now a bad kid.
Heh, oh well, Riley thought. Maybe she was destined to follow Gabriel with that label all of her life. Once a bad person, always a bad person, right? Riley walked with her stuff to the Principle’s Office, and entered. She expected to see Gabriel there, sitting and staring at her with that stare he always seemed to have whenever she was around. She at least expected someone she knew, maybe Elle. Who the hell was this guy? Definitely wasn’t Gabriel, because if he had been, he would have given her a sign.
“Hello, Principle. You needed me?” She asked, not looking at the man at all. Their eyes, for all she could tell, hadn’t met, and she wanted to keep it that way. No telling who he was, and she really didn’t want anything bad to happen. Also, as far as she knew, Gabriel worked alone (besides her, and she didn’t count… apparently she was a kid, not an actual sidekick). He wasn’t on Gabriel’s side.
Yeah, today had been a strange day.

After hearing the Principal do what the handsome doctor ordered, the said doctor smiled and he placed two stackful of hundred dollar bills on the table in front of him.
"It's nice doing business with you," Serverus Saxon said with a smile as his smile turned into a creepy grin.
It seemed like an eternity for Riley Bishop to arrive. Sure, Mr. Saxon would have transported Riley in front of him at any time, given that he knows what she looks like, but the dark persona of this European has other things in store.
Saxon placed his hands in his lap and began to think of the possibilities of what would happen. He had this all planned out in his mind and it just needs one smile, a few minutes of walking and one look into her eye. One look and he has it all. The possibility of another ability has gotten him excited. Really excited on having a new ability. Telekinesis, Telepathy and Tissue Regeneration, all of these were once thought to be part of the realm of impossibility, but here he is waiting for his next victim to satisfy his hunger.
He heard the door open and Mr. Saxon spun the chair to look at the blonde teenager. Mr. Saxon looked at her and studied her a bit. He heard what she asked the Principal and he smiled. He stood up from his chair before the Principal could answer the woman's question.
"Ms. Bishop. I'm glad to have met you here," Serverus told the girl with an enchanting smile, "I'm here on family business under the orders of your father."
Serverus walked past the girl and opened the door, "Walk with me please. I have made arrangements with the Principal and whatever you will miss won't be taken into consideration in your future. Now come! We have a lot to discuss."
The man then walked out of the room and into the hallway of the high school. As he walked away, he had a 'look' in his eyes and he had a crooked and creepy smile on his face. Everything was going into plan. He turned around afterwards with his enchanting smile plastered once more on his face and called back to Riley, "Ms. Bishop! Are you coming?"

From the moment she walked into the Principal’s office, she knew this was not going to be a fun day. Already, Gabriel had arrived. That itself had spelled trouble. However, he had left as semi-peacefully as he had come, and Riley had been able to breathe a sigh of relief. At least Gabriel hadn’t come to kill anyone—there’d been rumors of a school shooting waiting to happen, and Riley wasn’t even going to begin to say how thankful she was that it wasn’t Gabriel doing the shooting.
Now there was another strange man at her school. This wouldn’t be very important except for the fact that this strange man was feigning good terms with her and trying to keep her on good terms with him. Unfortunately for him, it wasn’t working. Riley was becoming angered, and not for the first time today.
The girl, upon seeing his well-dressed persona, had averted her eyes. She forced herself to stare only at the Principal, the chairs, the portraits, anything that might have her interested in something other than the man. This man spelled bad things, and he smelled good, which further piqued her curiosity. No man should smell that good.
What was more depressing was the fact that he used on her outdated information. An alarm was sent off in her, and she shivered with disgust. ‘If you’re going to kidnap me, at least do it with style! Read up on someone!’ But Riley feigned ignorance. She glanced only at the man’s chest. He was well-dressed, too well-dressed. “My father sent you? Under what branch do you work?” She asked. If he had done any decent research, he would know her father. If he hadn’t… then she’d catch him in his lie.
The man stood up and, presumably, pulled his shirt down or something. Whatever it was, Riley wasn’t looking. Her gaze was carefully on her feet. ‘A lot to discuss?’ She thought, but looked up and smiled a sweet smile at him. Inside her, her gut knotted and her stomach flipped in incessant circles. This guy would really like to discuss some things with her, huh? Well, he’d be discussing the bad of his eyelids when she learned out why he was kidnapping her—quite simply, if she didn’t kill him by removing his brains’ contact with the rest of his body, he would fall unconscious. Plenty of time to escape.
Plus, Gabriel was still around somewhere. Gabriel would help her. She hoped.
"Ms. Bishop! Are you coming?" Riley cringed at the too-sweet sound of his British accent. She turned to glare at the Principal. Her glare was as if to say, “I know you know he’s a fake. I bet the money was substantial.” Then the girl turned away. The glare on her face was readily evident, and her eyes were narrowed. Her nose was pinched, too, as if she smelled a skunk and not some of that dude’s heady perfume. But, before he saw her, her face again transformed.
Riley was again the innocent girl. Meek (as if!), and compliant (so he thought), the girl picked up her backpack from where she’d set it down, and slung it over her shoulders. She turned to him, and looked at a point just below his chin. “What plans have we to discuss?” She asked, following him out, but never coming within a foot of him. He could play this game, could he? Well, let’s just see how well he could play against a master; and she’d been practicing. Being a good girl this last month alone from Gabriel wasn’t the only thing she’d been doing.

As Serverus walked through the hallways of the school, his plan was constantly flashing on his mind. Knowing that his target was following him, he lead her out of the school and towards an empty area with the school's dumpster nearby.
Serverus smiled as soon as he heard her question on what are the supposed 'plans. He turned around to face her and he said, "Let's go straight to the point. You being the daughter of a man heading what I heard as the Company have two things I want. One thing is information on what the Company is all about and secondly..."
Green electrical arcs suddenly surrounded Serverus' body and he levitated a meter above the ground. He snapped with his fingers for a couple of times and heavy SWAT vans mysteriously appeared a few meters behind Riley. The vans were lined up in a fashion that Riley's only escape was blocked.
Serverus smiled and he said to Riley, "I simply want what you have. A certain power which you will show me right now!"
As if on cue, Serverus raised both of his hands and green electrical arcs were hurled towards Riley. An evil smile appeared on Serverus' face the moment he began his attack on Riley.

The girl’s stomach clenched with unease the farther out of the school she walked. This guy, he was horrible. She could see by the way that he walked and acted that he was used to getting his way. Well, Riley was going to make sure that she was the first one who’d go against his commands. She was led to the back of the school. This place was secluded, and none of the cameras situated conveniently around the campus could catch anything that happened back here.
No one went back here anyway.
Riley had stopped near the entrance to the place. The nice-smelling man kept going until, suddenly, he stopped and pivoted. Riley kept her eyes carefully away, still unable to determine what this man’s power was. He started speaking and, in the process, Riley smirked. She dropped her good-girl act, and snorted. “Your Intel is obviously a little outdated, sir.”
Riley pushed her hair behind her ears, still smirking. “My dad’s been dead for a while now.” She had been unafraid of the green arcs of energy as they circled the man’s body. They wouldn’t hurt her, but she had to act hurt. At least she knew the guy’s—wait, why was he snapping his fingers? There was a muted thud behind her, and she spun around. How in all the hells ever thought of did those SWAT vans get there? Riley’s eyes widened, but not in fear. ‘Oh, damn!’ Riley allowed herself to swear.
She was going to face a person like Gabriel—a person with Intuitive Aptitude.
Riley spun around to see the man hovering off the ground. Whenever Gabriel did things like that she thought it cool. But when this guy did this, she rolled her eyes and called coolly to him, “Show off!” When he said he wanted to see her power, Riley just scowled. “You’ll see my power, but you can’t take it.” She actually smiled there, and added in her sweetest voice, “Sorry.”
The green arcs of electricity streaming toward her was a surprise, though she knew the guy wasn’t all looks. The energy bolts seemed to slam into her chest, but was actually stopped by her shield, which was only centimeters from her body. The force of the pure energy sent her flying backward. WHAM! Riley connected with the back of a SWAT van. The force of impact didn’t hurt her, but it took her breath away. She hadn’t even caught her breath when she fell onto the ground; the air took a moment coming back.
Finally, only after about forty seconds later, the girl propped herself up on an elbow, looking not-quite-at the man. Seeing as he had Intuitive Aptitude, it wouldn’t hurt to be careful. She scowled as she stood, trying to make it look like she was hurt when, really, she wasn’t. She wiped her mouth and grinned up at him. “Don’t you realize Elle Bishop is my sister? I’ve been shocked so many times that that felt like a tickle!” She goaded, wondering what he’d try next.

'Dead? How unfortunate,' Ewan thought as he saw his attack slamming her into the SWAT vans he transported, 'Oh well. That was just...unfortunate."
Ewan heard her last statement and he retorted back, "Really? Was she shocking because she can't control it or is it because she knows that when she attacks you, the attack is just stopped a few centimeters from your body? I know how things work and I practically hurled lightning arcs that wouldn't have have a concussive effect to hurl you backwards. If I did hurl an EMP charge at you that might be the case, but it isn't. A force must've collided with it to generate a concussive effect. Some sort of...shield?"
Ewan floated towards her a bit as he looked at her. He then laughed and smiled with glee afterwards, " Hah! I think I've figured you out! You can create shields of some sort! A shield to protect your body! Now that's brilliant! Just brilliant! If I didn't know how to figure things out you would have me fooled, but you didn't! Here you are talking innocently with a sweet voice, but in reality it's just all an act. Because you knew you can never get hurt easily. Oh I like this power. I really do! That's why you're going to give it to me. In one way..."
Ewan snapped his fingers to transport Riley in front of him. More electrical arcs surrounded him to protect from any attack as his eyes began to darken, "Or another."
