Stephen was trying to stop Sylar from becoming Nathan and becoming president, and seeing as he would probably be killed if he went head to head with Sylar he had to go back in time and manipulate events so that didn't happen, he had decided to be sneaky about it, he would make a move that would change the future significantly, then he would make sure that the outcome of that move changed the future the way he wanted it to.
That was why Stephen found himself in Las Vegas, six years in the past. He had decided to add another playing piece to the board, a mimicker like himself. He knew that soon there would be an accident, and a person that could potentionaly change the future would die, her name was Tonya Ford and she was going to die in a car crash, Stephen didn't know the exact details but he knew where and when it would happen, and he confident enough that he could stop the crash.
Stephen stood at the sidewalk, anticipation building inside him. In a few moments someones life was going to depend on him, he was afraid he might mess up and the person would die. Stephen shivered at the thought of another person dying because of him, he didn't want anymore inoccent blood on his hands.

TJ had gone out for a drive with her parents Evangeline and Josh, they had wanted to go somewhere in particular and asked TJ to go with them. She was only too happy, she loved spending time with her parents, they were the best. The music her dad was playing wasn't the typical music TJ loved listening to though, it was some sort of rock or heavy metal and she preferred country music.
She reached into her bag and pulled out the Taylor Swift CD and handed it over to him, "Here dad, can ya not play this instead?" she asked him trying to give the CD to her dad instead of passing it to her mom to give to her dad instead. As Josh went to take the CD from his daughter, he had to turn his eyes off the road for a few seconds and that's when it happened, or was going to happen.
As Josh turned back around again he was right in the path of a truck which was out of control and spinning it's way toward their car.
"Daaaaaaaaaad!" TJ screamed, "Look out" she shouted, as if it would have made any difference anyway. TJ's heart was pounding in her chest, it seemed to be happening so fast and in such slow motion at the same time she didn't know what was going to happen.

Stephen watched as a nearby truck went out of control and he felt himself getting a little more nervous, he had hoped that it would have been a car he would have to stop, but it seemed that he wasn't that fortunate.
He stood up and used telepathy to find out where Tonya was and quickly found her and her parents. He looked through the car window and saw Tonya in the back seat, handing a CD to her father who was driving, and thought to himself that she looked very pretty.
Stephen shook his head, he couldn't get distracted or something bad would happen, he watched as the father took his eyes off the road just as the truck entered his lane, Stephen calculated the distance and speed of both vehicles and teleported between them.
Stephen raised one hand toward the car Tonya was in and used telekinesis to slow down the car until it stopped right in front of him, he then turned to the truck and noticed that it had picked up speed and was about to crash into Stephen and the car.
Stephen panicked and lifted his other hand and sent a telekinetic burst straight into the front of the truck, crushing the front of it. Stephen looked through the window to notice the driver scream in pain as his legs were crushed.
Stephen ignored the stream of curses the truck driver yelled out through the pain and instead walked around to the side of the car, he figured the doors were locked so he phased his hand through the door and opened it from the inside.
"Is everyone alright?" Stephen asked, he tried his best to look at the two adults in the front but his eyes kept glancing off to Tonya to make sure she was okay.

TJ thought this was it, she honestly thought she was going to die at the age of seventeen, her life would be over. She would never be able to do anything special in her life again. She wouldn't get to celebrate her eighteenth birthday. But just as quickly as she thought her life was over, just as quickly somebody seemed to get themselves between their car and the out of control truck and their car had slowed down until it stopped.
The truck was also slowed down and in fact when TJ looked out the window she saw the front of truck crushed, TJ winced at the thought, the driver behind that truck must surely be in a heap of pain, but she was still alive. The guy had saved their lives, all of them. She then watched as his hand seemed to phase through the door and opened it asking if everybody was alright.
TJ's eyes fell on him immediately, noticing how freaking handsome he looked, she couldn't help but smile at him. "I'm fine, we're fine, you saved us!" TJ said in exclamation as she just looked at him with admiration.
TJ's father Josh looked at the guy, "We're fine, son, what ever you did, thank you very much we're in debt to you." TJ was kind of shaken however, and if her father was going to continue the trip in the car she suddenly felt like she didn't want to be in the car at that moment. "Dad, do you mind if I maybe just get out and go back home, I can walk it?" TJ asked in a shaky voice.
Her father Josh turned round, "If that's what you want to do honey, it's fine" he said giving his daughter a smile, and TJ immediately opened the car and jumped out and made her way onto the sidewalk.
[ooc: alright we have a Josh Ford on the site, but for the purpose of this post, I just npc'd him, don't think Mich would have minded]

Stephen turned to Tonya as she answered his question, he flashed her a smile before he had to look back at her father as he thanked him.
Stephen was surprised that none of them seemed to be surprised by what he had done, were people around here used to strange stuff happening? He looked out onto the sidewalks and saw people staring at him and the two vehicles so that obviously was wrong.
Stephen followed Tonya to the sidewalk, she seemed that she was still a little freaked out by what had happened and he wanted to make sure she was alright, and he also wanted to be around her.
"You sure your fine? You seemed a little shaky." Stephen said as he walked up next to her, "If you want I could get you to your house a lot faster, unless you want to be interrogated by these people now and the cops later when they show up."
Stephen pointed out a few people who were walking toward him and Tonya and held out his hand, "I suggest you decide quickly, I'm not that good at teleporting two people when I'm surrounded.

TJ couldn't take her eyes off of the guy who had just well done something ordinary people wouldn't see every day to save their lives. She really had sort of like instantly fell for her knight in shining armour so to speak. It was crazy. But she knew it happened, that article Brendan Harris wrote, it was true, you could fall in love at first sight. Then she mentally nipped herself and shook her head and gave him the most wonderful bright reassuring smile.
"I'm fine, honestly yes, I'm fine, a bit shaken over it all, but I am fine, I promise" she replied as honest as she could. However he mentioned about getting her to her house faster unless she wanted to be interrogated by the people and police who seemed to be making their way toward the both of them.
"That actually might be a good idea" she said with a grin, although how would this work she thought. He obviously had a selection of powers, and she had Power Absorbing, would she get all of the powers he had or just absorb the main power he had? Too many thoughts going through her head she suddenly realised as she stopped them.
She then felt him take her hand, and she could immediately feel herself tingle inside. She had to keep mentally slapping herself, she was beginning to feel like she was a silly teenager. Alright so she was a teenager, but she didn't want to act like a girlie girlie one. "Yeah, go, take me now please" she said giving him a warm smile. Once they were away from the crowd she was going to find out exactly who he was, because he was god damned handsome.

Stephen smiled back to Tonya when she said she was fine, it was good to know she wasn't to freaked out. He looked at her and thought his previous description of her was an understatement, she was very beautiful, if only he wasn't from a different time period.....
Stephen shook his head, those thoughts would have to wait until he got him and Tonya out of here. He held her hand and went through her mind for where she lived, smiling as he heard all of the thoughts she had of him and teleported them to her house.
Stephen didn't really look at the house much, he just found a place to sit and then looked at Tonya, "I'm guessing you want to know who I am?"
Stephen sat back and prepared for what may be a bombardment of questions, like who he was, why was he there exactly when he needed to be, and other questions like that.

Tonya was glad she agreed to let the guy take her away from where they had almost crashed. She wasn't sure she wanted to be asked countless questions about what the guy had done to save their lives. Only people like TJ herself could understand what he had done, because he was one of them, he was an Evolved Human just like she was. As the guy sat down, she did the same thing, although she wasn't really bothering about why he was there, how he knew to save them, she was more concerned about getting to know the handsome stranger who had just saved her life and her families.
Snapping herself back to reality a little when he had asked his question, "Well yeah it sure be a good idea to know, cause then I could call ya yer name, instead of jus' thinkin' tha' guy all the time" TJ said with a laugh, the typical mixture of Canadian and Southern accent coming out in her as always. Right now, finding out his name was really the only question she had for him, well it wasn't, but it was the only one she was really bothered about.
However, being intrigued, she couldn't help but then ask the next question anyway, "So, can I ask ya? How did ya know tha' was gonna happen? Or was it jus' pure luck ya happened to be there?" she asked with a smile and then realising she hadn't given him her name either, she smiled a little shyly before speaking, "I'm Tonya Jaime, but most people call me TJ, but Tonya is fine also."

Stephen smiled at Tonya's mixed accent, he thought it sounded cute, "My names Stephen, Stephen Adams."
Stephen sighed when Tonya asked him why he had happened to be there, this was the question he had been expecting and the one he wasn't sure how to answer, he could lie and either make up a story or say it was by pure luck, or he could tell her he was from the future and that he was fourteen in this time line.
"I'm from the future, I don't want to go into the details but the future is pretty screwed up right now and I want to fix it. So when I heard about a person who had a limited form of Power mimicry that had died six years ago I thought that maybe that's what I could do to fix it, save the mimicker and hopefully that would lead to the future being fixed. I had planned on leaving as soon as I saved you but...... I'm not sure if I want to leave now." Stephen explained, hoping that TJ wouldn't be upset that he had originally decided to save her life because he thought she could help save the world.

TJ noticed the guy smile at her, and she immediately felt her cheeks flush slightly, she couldn't deny that he was down right handsome. He then told her his name. She smiled all the more, "Stephen, I like that name, pleased to meet ya Stephen." Tonya was finding it difficult to keep her eyes off of him. But she had to, because she didn't want him thinking she was some stalker type girl.
Tonya then listened as Stephen explained why he was there and how he knew she and her parents were going to be involved in an accident. When he first began to speak and said he was from the future, her face fell slightly. Future, great, she thought, no chance of any romance then, he's sure to go back.
His last words however, made her smile again a little. When he said he had planned to go back but wasn't sure he wanted to now. Why wouldn't he want to leave though, even though the idea made Tonya smile, she wondered why he would say that. "Well, am glad ya saved us, and I don' really care why ya done it, just glad to be alive is all.'' Tonya said with a smile in Stephen's direction, but she then couldn't help but ask why he didn't want to leave.
"So, why don' ya wanna leave for now?" her constant accent switching was rather hilarious at times, she said as she shyly looked at him, not that TJ was exactly shy, she just felt a little shy around Stephen.

Stephen pointed to Tj when she asked him why he wanted to stay, "It's been awhile since I've seen such a beautiful face, especially one with such a good accent."
Stephen hoped that he didn't sound stupid, he never had tried to flirt with a girl before, when he was younger he had always been shy and when he had first gained the hunger he had become pretty antisocial, it hadn't been since a year ago that he had been able to control his hunger and felt more comfortable around other specials.
Stephen wasn't sure what he should do, he had never been in a situation where he was talking to a girl he liked, being a serial killer had never given him a chance to be social with girls.
(ooc: Just like to say that this version of Stephen is what would happen if Carla hadn't gone back in time to find him.)

When TJ had asked him why he didn't want to leave and he pointed at her, she blushed all the more. Yes it was true, she had certainly felt a spark when she first saw him, but she thought it was just her and her normal boy crush things she had going on. But when he did that and then spoke saying it had been a while since he'd seen such a beautiful face and a good accent, she really couldn't help but think maybe it was more than just her typical boy crush thing. Maybe she did truly like this guy, and yet, she had only just met him.
However, Brendan's feature came into her head, the one about love at first sight and how not to rule it out even if you think it's crazy. Well maybe this was crazy, but she certainly wasn't going to rule it out, although, she didn't think she loved Stephen, she didn't know him enough after all, but she was certainly in love with the idea of getting to know him more.
Finally finding her voice, she just smiled at him brightly. "Oh!" She began in exclamation and then quickly realised she should say more in case he thought she wasn't happy with the idea. "I was jus' thinkin' the same thing maself about you. Well, that you were handsome." She said and then bit down on her bottom lip before looking back up at him again. "Then don't leave, stay." She said softly, not that she wanted to push things with him, and she certainly wouldn't make a move on him first, TJ didn't work like that, but telling him not to leave, should be a big enough hint in itself for him. At least, she hoped so anyway.

Stephen smiled when Tonya told him she wanted him to stay, "I'll stay."
Stephen's thoughts wondered to what would happen if he stayed here, there would be three of him as of 2012, when he would be born, that would be pretty strange. Being older then his mother wouldn't be very comfortable either. He also would have to make up a new identity for himself, most people wouldn't believe him if he said his I.D. was in the future.
Stephen's smile grew when Tonya told him he was handsome, he had heard her think that earlier but it was nice to hear her say it with her cute accent.
Stephen thought it was strange how things worked out sometimes, he had gone back in time to save the life of a person he had never met, he had never even cared about, and once he met her he felt attracted to her almost immediately, he didn't know if he was in love with Tonya, it would take him awhile to know if he did or not, but he definitely wanted to be around her.
"Do you want to maybe, go on a date sometime?" Stephen said, unsure what she would say, he new she thought he was hansome but he wasn't sure if she wanted to be with him.

TJ grinned at Stephen when he said he would stay. Well that was a step in the right direction, she thought to herself. Which was certainly good. "Good." She replied, as she felt herself blush again ever so slightly. He was so handsome and Tonya was finding it so hard to keep her eyes off of him.
Although TJ was happy Stephen had decided to stay in this time line, she realised it could mean a lot of problems for him and she wondered how he would deal with it. After all, wouldn't he be leaving a family behind in the future, and wasn't the chances quite high he might meet his present self? She tried to shake the thoughts out of her head, if he had problems about staying, then he wouldn't have agreed to stay.
Stephen then asked her if she wanted to go on a date sometime. Well that certainly put a huge smile on TJ's face. It was all she could do from jumping up and wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him there and then, but she composed herself. "Sure, tha' sounds brilliant Stephen, I'd love to go on a date with ya." She replied, blushing and grinning all at the one time.

Stephen thought there was something bothering TJ, curious Stephen read her mind, he sighed when he found that she was just worried about what problems he would have living in the past.
Stephen smiled, he thought it was nice that she worried about him, "Don't worry about me, I don't have any family in the future, my present self never went to Las Vegas, and I didn't have any ID in the future anyway, I would use my powers to get in."
Stephen smiled again when Tonya told him she would go on a date with him, also thinking that she looked cute when she blushed.
"So where do you want to go? I can take you anywhere in the world." Stephen said, thinking that he should take her somewhere fancy to impress her, he wondered where she would want to go.
