L.A. Bowl 5th June, 2009 [/b] It had been a month since Lily had watched the Die Hard movies at Ronon's house and got the drink spilled on her. All the way home she had kept sniffing the collar to take in Ronon's scent and she loved it. Of course she had seen enough during work, and they had even met up once or twice outside of work too. But still Lily had kept her true feelings to herself. She was just too scared to open up completely because of bad experiences in the past and Lily was always a great believer in learning from your mistakes. Anyway, this was another day, and it was also the end of the week, and earlier in the day Lily had asked Ronon and Jason if they wanted to go bowling that night, and luckily they had agreed. Lily loved going bowling, not because of the shoes you had to wear, those were yucky, but the fun of the game and the fact that the bowling alleys always had bars and fast food. They had been there for an hour already, Lily had booked five games, yeah that's right, five, because she was addicted to the game of bowling, even though she was actually pretty rubbish at playing. She was never able to stand in the right position, nor did she hold the bowl right, so when she let it go it always dropped onto the floor and sort of bounced before it went rolling down the lane. Back in the UK her parents would always get the special sponge alley protectors so that the bowl would bounce off of it and actually hit at least one skittle. But there was no way she was going to ask Ronon and Jason if they could have those. "You know guys, I don't know why I bloody bother, I'm addicted to this game and I have no idea why, I mean look at that?" She said as she pointed to her bowl which had pitifully bounced once and then slowly rolled, and I mean slowly rolled down toward the pins which were obviously shaking in fear, not! {Figured that maybe Ronon could help her do it right ya know? To get the whole touchy/feely and the looks and the I am so not loving her/him thing going on lol}

Ronon was happy when Lily asked him to go bowling but then he found out Jason would be there as well and his excitement dropped some but not low enough for him to to show up. He didn’t mind bowling in fact his father used to bowl every so often but he himself didn’t like to bowl as much as his father did.
Ronon looked at Jason when Lily went on complaining on how she couldn’t do it right. “Looks like the white knight steps in.” He chuckles walking over to Lily grabbing her ball that just came back from the machine. “Here let me help you.” Ronon handed the ball to Lily as he held one hand on her hip and the other on the arm she had the ball in. “Okay you have to swing your hip as you bring your arm back and swing as you let go.” He helped her by doing the motion with her a couple times before he let go of her as he flicked her nose. “Think you got it now?”

It was Friday night and that meant for Jason that he was always invited to the White House to have a drink with his boss. Though Nathan was out of the country and it felt good. It felt good because he could have a life for once. Not liked he had a god damn life. He was the Vice President of the United States. However this Friday night his Chief of Staff invited him to go bowling. Bowling would be good – he liked bowling.
However the bowling alley that they picked out wasn’t the one that he had in mind. “Lily next time book it at the White House,” he said shaking his head as he always had to complain about something and decided to complain about the bowling alley that they were at. The people were staring at him and he didn’t like that, not to mention half of the men in black suites. He was vice president, but he couldn’t get used to the bodyguards.
All he wanted to be was normal and that was just this case. He just watched Lily bowl and noticed she was kind of terrible. However he didn’t admit. He wasn’t going to admit. Then Ronon decided to help her – which was probably good for her. For some reason he thought the two would be a great couple. He got his bowling ball – he was in the next lane and bowled a strike. He frowned sighing. “See I hate this game!” he said shaking his head. Okay the strike was like his forth strike of the night which was kind of awkward on his part. He had the highest score of the group. He missed Tracy.

After Lily had complained about the pathetic way she was playing the game and holding the bowling ball, Ronon stepped in to help her. Her knight in shining armour. She looked at him, her eyes twinkling and a grin on her face, "Gladly, please do." She replied in regards to him saying he'd help her. But when his hand went on her hip, she felt herself jump slightly and shivered as well. His touch was still amazing. Then his other hand was on her arm helping her with the swing. That one she could just about cope with.
He did the swinging motion with her a couple of times and then asked if she got it now, before flicking her nose. Something else which sent shivers down her spine. "I don't know Ronon, let me try and see." She said, as she eyed him before trying to swing the ball and then she let it go. Alright, so it didn't bounce this time, a good start, but it still rolled down the lane rather slowly and then veered off to the side and still didn't hit a single skittle.
"You know what Ronon, I think I might need just a little more coaching." She said, desperate to wink at him, but held back. Maybe his touch was driving her crazy, but she loved it so much she couldn't help but ask for more help.
Lily just gave Jason a raised eyebrow look when he had a go at her for booking the wrong Bowling Alley saying she should have booked the one at the White House. Why hadn't she thought of that? She shook her head in disbelief and put her hand up to her forehead. "Bloody hell Jason, I didn't even think of that, I'm so sorry." She said feeling like an idiot, on top of the fact she was playing like an idiot and now she just wanted the ground to swallow her up.
Then she watched as he bowled and got yet another strike, and had the cheek to say he hated the gamed. "Why Jason? Why hate it, when you just scored a strike? Wish I could bloody well score a strike." She said and laughed. She loved the game even if she did suck at playing.

Ronon snicker when he heard Jason complain about the bowling alley. It was true the vice president couldn’t really have a normal night out with friends. He wasn’t really working tonight since it was his night off but he figured he should keep a eye out just in case anything were to happen. He could only chuckle when Jason went off on his strike. His boss wasn’t having the best day. Hell anyone could tell Jason was having a bad day.
He chuckled at Lily nodding his head. “Define a little more coaching.” After Lily told Jason she wanted to score a strike he went back over to her. “Ok this time stand in the center of the lane and try what I taught you.” He grabbed her arm doing the motion once again as he brushed his thumb over her shoulder as he took a step back. He never knew how much he liked Lily after their night in at his place but they worked together and with their boss here, even as their friend, it still felt wrong to even think that way. He sat down on the bench watching Lily hoping no one would notice.

All Jason wanted was a normal night out with friends and what he got was kind of awkward. He was complaining to his Chief of Staff that she should have booked the bowling alley at the White House. It wasn’t that Nathan used the damn thing anyway. He didn’t seem like that kind of person. Nathan didn’t seem like a bowling person. Jason was kind of lost in his thoughts at the particular moment and time and only heard a bit of what Lily had to say.
“Yeah, well next time I pick the place we go to if I’m ever invited again” He said shaking his head as he frowned a bit. He hated having a bad night. It was just a part of who he was. He hadn’t told anyone what the hell was going through his mind. All he was caring about was trying to be happy and not like depressed, though he was prone to being depressed. He did have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and all eyes always seemed to be on him. Even if he acted a little depressed a psychologist was on call. It was just ridiculous.
He watched as Ronon instructed Lily to try and put her skills at the bowling. “Come on Lily you can do it” he said as he watched on. He certainly hoped that she could do this. She was good at some things and he hoped that she could do it. He was kind of getting annoyed at them they acted as if they were lovey dovey. He would have known if they were a item or not. Or so he would think that he knew things but sometimes he didn’t know some things.

Lily had to stop herself from laughing out loud when Ronon asked her to define a little more coaching. She so wanted to say, because I want to feel your arms around me and holding me, I want to feel your breath against my skin when you talk, but she couldn't. She was too embarrassed to, no, not too embarrassed, scared. She had so many past relationships go wrong, she just found it incredibly hard to open up to the idea of love with another man. Even though, looking at Ronon, she didn't think there was any way in the world he'd hurt her and yet, it made no difference.
"Oh, maybe, just show me one more time, maybe, help me with the swing, so the ball actually hits at least one pin?" She said with a laugh, but pouted at him, as if to say, you know I'm useless and will probably only get better with your help. "Alright, standing in the center of the lane." She said, repeating what he said she was to do, and she did just that, stood in the center of the lane.
He then touched her arm and did the motion with her once more, and she felt his thumb brush against her shoulder, it was like electric running through her. She actually felt herself shiver slightly.
Just before she let the ball go, Jason commented that next time they went bowling, if he was invited, he was choosing the venue. Lily just looked at him, with a raised eyebrow and a pout. "For heavens sakes Jason, bloody lighten up a bit wont you?" She then laughed after it and poked her tongue out. "But alright, if you insist, fine, you can book it next time." She shook her head and then went back to concentrating on the bowling.
Just before she let the ball go, Jason said 'come on Lily, you can do it' and she looked at him and gave him a smile, "Are you sure about that?" She said, she really had always been pathetic at bowling, and she couldn't see that even with Ronon's help she would do much better, but anyway. She swung her arm back like he said, and then swooped down as she let the ball go from her hand and it actually did go down the middle of the lane and at quite a fair speed.
She jumped up and down and looked from Jason to Ronon, to Jason back to Ronon again, "Look at that!" She said in excitement and then she watched as the ball hit dead on the right mark it should and she got a strike.
"Bloody hell, would you look at that, I got a bloody strike." And then without even realising what she was doing she ran to Ronon, pulled him up onto his feet and wrapped herself round in him in a hug, and then blushed furiously as she realised what she just done and backed away from him, with her head down and sat on the bench.

“You’ll be invited again Jase.” Shaking his head Ronon could definitely now tell Jason was having a bad day. He really thought about stepping out for a moment to call up Tracy and tell her to get her ass here and comfort her man but he wasn’t sure what Tracy was up to. “What’s Tracy up to tonight?” He saw Jason was off in thought and wondered if he even should have brought up Tracy.
Ronon smiled as he saw Lily pout. “Aw quit worrying with my coaching you will be great.” Okay he was cocky but hey he did know a thing or two about bowling hell it was only bowling after all how hard would it be to get Lily to strike down a couple pins? He couldn’t help but laugh when she went off on Jason. “Good luck.” He winked at her before he went to sit back down.
“Yes!” Ronon was about to stand p but Lily pulled him before he could do it on his own. He let her hug him as he spun her around till she backed away. He made her back away. He ruffled his hair as he sat back down giving Jason a look as his boss was about to look at him. “What?”
