I Got You. (Matt)

Jenna Connell had just gotten off work. It was three in the afternoon and her 1st grade class had ran out when the bell had rung. She had lived in Laughlin for two years now and loved it. If she wanted to go party she could get in her car and drive to Vegas but she didn’t like to party. A good evening in with some friends was enough for her.

That’s was in her cards for the night. Before heading home she went to the grocery store and bought a couple of things. She couldn’t wait to get home to Matt. She only met him a short while ago and the two were already staying at each other’s places every night. Sure Matt was thirty-eight and she was only twenty three but the two formed a connection which made Jenna realize she wanted to have a family early on in her life.

Jenna walked into Matt’s home carrying her school bag and the bag with the groceries. “Hey Matt I’m home.” She walks into the living room seeing Matt on the couch watching television. “So this is what Detectives do on their days off?” She placed her bags down on the coffee table as she then straddle Matt as she kissed his lips. After the kiss was down Jenna pulled away looking at Matt with a smirk. “I got your favorite ice cream after work.” She wasn’t going to tell him she had gotten some click flick movie that she had wanted to see.

To most people, Jenna and Matt’s relationship had moved fast but Matt was coping from his ex-fiancée Daphne now being with his ex-best friend who made him fight for his ward who he would have adopted in a heart beat. Jenna could see this all in Matt without him explaining how he felt to her. She cared for this man and even if this turned out to be a fling she would make it her mission to get Matthew Parkman back on track.

It had been some time since Matt had come back to find that Daphne was in love with his so called best friend Mohinder. It had taken him a few weeks to get over it, and on top of that there was the whole fight over Molly. He would have backed down on it all, except he really missed having Molly around and felt like he still wanted to fight to have her in his life. However, in the mean time he had found love again. Or at least he thinks it's love.

Jenna was a good deal younger than him, but he realised he didn't care. Janice and Daphne had both been nearer his age and look what happened there? So, he thought he would take his chances with a younger woman for once and so far it seemed to be going well. If he wasn't at Jenna's, then Jenna was at his place. He wasn't working today, and right now, he was relaxing on the sofa, watching the television when he heard the door open.

He remained watching the television, but he brightened up immediately and when he heard her voice, he muted the volume on the television at least. "Hey Jenna." He replied, and then before he knew it she was straddling him on the sofa, so he immediately wrapped his arms around her waist and returned the kiss she gave him. He grinned when Jenna said he got his favourite ice cream, once she had pulled away from him. "You did?" He asked, with a mischievous look on his face, he then asked, "Do I really have to eat it out the tub or a bowl? I'd rather lick it off you." He said this with a wink. Part of him was being serious and part of him was joking around.

He couldn't believe he had managed to get himself such a gorgeous young woman interested in him though. For once he felt like his life was going the right way, now all he needed was to get Molly back and he'd be the happiest man in Laughlin, of that he was sure.

{ooc - up to you, but I think Molls should be with Matt again lol Daph can always speed to Laughlin anytime she and Mohinder want to spend time with her.}

Jenna couldn’t help but give a little laugh when Matt talked about the ice cream. “Tub, bowl or body anything is an option.” She was quite serious in her statement, it wasn’t like either had children here so they could do anything they wanted to. Body sounds the best. She smirked not sure if Matt cold be reading her thoughts or not. When Matt had told her about his power, at first she thought he was crazy but she soon realized something was out there when a student of hers started developing a power of his own.

She got off Matt grabbing the bag of ice cream walking it into the kitchen, placing it in the freezer before she returned with two beers. “Thought you might want one.” Handing him his beer she pulled off her pink sweater, that she was forced to wear at the day care she worked at when school was done for the summer, revealing her white tank top that was underneath it. Taking a sip of her beer she sat back down next to Matt looking at the television screen. “What are you watching?”

When Jenna said anything was an option with regards to the ice cream, Matt raised an eyebrow. That really was an open statement. "Anything?" He then began to have all these thoughts running through his head of exactly where on her body he could lick it from. Then he shook his head at his own rude thoughts. But just at the point, not that he had a habit of reading Jenna's thoughts all the time, but after what she said, he couldn't help it, and when he heard her say 'body sounds the best' he couldn't help but smirk.

Even though he knew he could speak to her, he decided to project the thoughts into her head instead. Is that right Jenna Connell? Where exactly did you have in mind? He then gave her a mischievous look and laughed a little.

He then watched as she got off him, taking the ice cream to put in the freezer and when she came back through she had to beers with her, to which she handed him one. He took it giving her a warm smile. "Thanks Jenna, you know how to make me happy, don't you?" Matt said and grinned. It was true, for once he had finally found a woman who just seemed to get him and the way he worked, and didn't seem to bother about his rude habits of burping and farting all the time.

Then he thought to himself, just how much he missed having Molly around, because he used to tease her with his habits, she would say it was disgusting, but she laughed anyway. He missed joking around with her, hell, he just missed her full stop. After taking a few sips of his beer, Jenna asked what he had been watching. "Ah, nothing much, just been flicking through the sports channel. Do you have anything in mind to watch? Although, if I'm honest, I'd just be happy to sit and watch you're beautiful face." Alright, so that was a cheesy one, even for the likes of Matt Parkman, but who cared?

When Matt asked her if she really meant anything she gave a giggle as she watched him go off in thought. Matt just had one of those gutter minds but she didn’t mind, really she had a lot of those same thoughts he did but she kept them to herself after all she was a school teacher. Then a smirk came upon his face. Wondering what he was up to, she soon found out when she heard Matt in her head, making her jump. Her eyes grew in shock, so he had listened in on her thoughts. “Matthew Parkman.” She hit his chest as she laughed with him. “Oh I have a lot in mind.”

She sat back down resting her head on his chest. “Yup I know what you like baby.” She enjoyed knowing all the quirks about Matt. She herself had many quirks but she didn’t mind any of Matt even his farting didn’t get to her. Moments later she looked up at him, seeing Matt was getting sad she knew who it was about. Then he spoke up about what he had been watching then he gave her a cheesy line. “Wow that was very cheesy Matt.”

“Want to talk about her?” She moved so she was sitting up looking at him. She knew that he might not want to talk about her but she figured she could give it a try hoping he would open up to her about the situation.

Matt grinned as he watched Jenna giggle, after he had let his mind go off on thoughts of how he wanted to eat the ice cream later. Jenna really was so much fun and in a way Matt began to wish he had met her long ago. He wondered how she would react to him projecting the thoughts into her head. He knew a lot of people didn't like it, but he was usually lucky with Jenna, because he never did it often.

He just laughed as she playfully hit his chest, and he raised an eyebrow at her, "What?!" But he knew what, and just laughed, "Oh, you have a lot in mind? Really? Like what?" He asked, wondering if she'd actually tell him, or be secretive and let him figure it out for himself.

When Jenna sat down resting her head on his chest, he used his free hand to run down her hair, side of her face and then rest on her waist. "Yeah, you do, you're amazing." Matt replied when she said she knew what he liked. It was amazing how much they had bonded in a short space of time.

"Yeah, it was a little." He replied, sighing gently, he wasn't going to say sorry, he just had too many things on his mind, and he was trying to make the situation lighter for himself. Then Jenna asked if he wanted to talk about her, referring to Molly and here he thought he was the one with mind reading ability. But he knew it didn't take a genius to work out that Molly was on his mind a lot these days and he was missing her like crazy.

He sat up then himself and looked at her seriously, "I just miss her Jenna, she's like a daughter to me. I was the one she turned to and trusted the day her parents died. I just miss her." He said sighing, and rolling his shoulders and then his neck.

Jenna raised an eye brow as Matt questioned her. “That’s for me to know and you to find out big man.” She had a couple things in mind to do with the ice cream. She could be very adventurous when the time called for it but then again she wasn’t the type of women to run around naked so depending on how the night went she would figure out her plan of action.

As Matt ran his hand down her side all she could do was sink herself into him more. His touch felt alluring in many ways. He was older then her which made her want to be more of a grown up, even though Matt could act like a kid. He was her big teddy bear that she would do anything for even if that meant she would have to leave one day. She wanted all of Matt, all of the baggage, everything.

Jenna sat up her eyes locking with his as he went to explain his love for Molly. “Baby.” She rubbed his shoulders as she continued. “Molly is your daughter no matter what. I mean from what you told me about it all she seems to still love you and want you to be in her life.” She kissed his neck setting her chin on his shoulder. “You will go to court and fight for her or hey you said she had a sister. Ask the sister for custody then the judge couldn’t say no.” She didn’t know much about the law unlike Matt but she had seen enough law and order to know a thing or two.

Matt just winked at Jenna when she said it was for her to know and him to find out and then called him big man. "Alright, well can't deny the fact you like giving the element of surprise." He wasn't even going to read her mind to find out the answer, he'd spoil it for Jenna and spoil it for himself. He'd be patient and wait, besides, he'd been with Jenna long enough now to have a fair idea what might be on offer, and he smirked at the thought.

When Matt told Jenna he missed Molly, she sat up and locked eyes with him, he then felt her hands on his shoulders, it felt good, and he could feel himself relaxing slightly under the touch. He turned to her and gave her a warm smile. Then he listened to what she had to say.

It was so nice to hear her say that Molly was his daughter, no matter what. Well, that's how he liked to see it. "I know she still loves me, she shows it every time I do get to see her, but, I still miss having her here with me. I know it would mean less fun for us, when she's around, but, I know you understand, I know I don't need to explain it any further."He gave her another smile then. It was nice having Jenna on his side and having her support.

"Yeah, Mohinder thinks he'll win the custody battle no problem, but I'm not so sure, she'd been in my care more often than his." Then Jenna mentioned talking to Molly's sister, that actually might work he realised, he hadn't thought about asking Becca to speak up over the custody thing. "That might just work Jenna, you're a gem." Matt said and then leaned in to give her a kiss. Why hadn't he thought of that solution himself? He could mentally slap himself.

Jenna’s eyes gleamed as she shook her head. “Its just my job to surprise my boyfriend.” Then she thought if this is really what Matt needed at a time like this but then she looked at him and everything melted away. Seeing another smirk from Matt only made her want to know what he was thinking. Sometimes she really wished she had Matt’s power. It would come in handy at school and then at home she could see what Matt was thinking.

She gave Matt a smile when he said he wanted Molly here with him. Her life as a child was normal but she understood what Molly must have been going through. Molly needed Matt and Jenna knew that he needed Molly as well. Mistakes became regrets to this family and she was determined to make this family come back together somehow. “Don’t worry about me in the slightest.” She would do anything for Matt and if that meant they didn’t stay the night at each other’s places when he won custody of Molly then she could deal with that.

She placed her right hand to her mouth as she cracked a smile, biting on her thumb a bit when Matt called her a gem. Then Matt kissed her, it just made everything feel better. “I know.” She winked at him as she flipped her hair before she let out a giggle. She leaned on him once again, taking his hand entwining it with hers. She thought about how she could make Matt happy then she sat up turning at him smiling. “Pack a bag. We are going to visit Molly.”

"Well, you do a very good job of it Miss Connell." Matt grinned at her then, with everything he had been going through recently, he needed Jenna in his life more than ever before. She was just the tonic he needed. He had hated being on his own, not having anybody to come home to, or the other way around, as it was tonight, not having someone coming home to him. He knew once he got Molly back, his life would be almost perfect and back to normal. Yeah, so maybe he and Jenna might not be as sexually active once Molly was around as they were now, but Matt knew they could make it work, somehow.

When Jenna said he wasn't to worry about her in the slightest, he shook his head. "That's impossible, of course I'll worry about you, it's my job to worry about you, but that said, I know we'll make it work, I might really want Molly back, where she belongs, but I don't want to lose you either. I love you." Then he realised he had said the L word. He wondered how Jenna would react to that, but he wasn't about to take it back, he loved having Jenna around, she knew what made him happy, and he loved her for that.

Matt could only chuckle slightly, when Jenna smiled and agreed that she was a gem. Then after he had kissed her, he felt her leaning on him, it was nice, made him feel close to her. He wrapped one of his arms around her then. Then he felt her hand take his own and entwine them together. Then a few few seconds later, she sat up, smiling at him and told him to pack a bag as they were going to visit Molly.

"You sure? Mohinder might not be too happy about that." But as soon as he said those words, he realised he didn't care. He needed to see Molly, he missed her. So, before Jenna even had a chance to say anything about Mohinder, he was up on his feet, grinning, "Just try and stop me." Then with the excitement of it all, he burped, and turned with a silly smile, "Sorry." And then went to go up the stairs to pack a bag, then turned, "Come up with me." He then winked at her, hoping she would get what he was referring to with that last sentence.

“Why thank you Mr. Parkman.” Jenna smiled knowing Matt was happy about the job she did. Sure dating someone with a child living with them would be weird but she was sure that being with Matt would make it all paid off. She knew she would have never dated one of her students father’s making her glad Molly was a teenager. Though she was sure that if Molly had been her student she would still have fallen for Matt.

Jenna blushed when Matt said it was his job to worry about her, heck he worried about the whole world when he was on the job which in fact made her worry about her, it was a whole cycle. Then he stated he loved her, with that said she turned away not sure what to say. She did love him but she hadn’t told anyone she loved them in such a time that this one made her nervous. Her eyes locked with his as she basically jumped onto him kissing him deeply. She couldn’t speak those words, not yet, but she could show Matt how she felt.

She smiled, Matt was so happy about going to see Molly, she couldn’t hold her excitement as well, seeing Matt happy made her happy. “Mohinder is a pompous jackass.” She stated not really knowing the man but from what she heard. Rolling her eyes when Matt burped, it was just him being himself. She glared at him. “Really?” Her glare became a grin as she ran up after him.
