1st July 2009 Jessika Seldon was at the scene, where a record company was showing off their new artists and bands. She hadn't had a chance to really listen to any of the music, so was eager to hear anything they had to offer. You never know these days, these is always something for everyone out there to listen to. Jessika listened to most pop music, but also loved R'n'B as well, something to sit back and listen to. So now, Jessika got out of the taxi that she had ridden to the event in, and paid the driver. "Keep the change," she said with a smile. The driver smiled back, "Thanks little lady." Jessika waited for the taxi to drive away, and she then turned to the building, which was to hold the event. It was glass, with a modern structure to it. Jessika then headed towards the main entrance. Jessika moved through the revolving doors, and walked towards the main desk. Smiling sweetly to the young guy at the desk, Jessika began to talk. "Hi there. My name is Jessika Seldon, and I am from The Chronicle." She held up her press pass. "Sure. Just go up the stairs, and it is at the second door to your left." "Thanks." With that Jessika walked up the stairs slowly, as this time she decided to wear high heels. She wanted to seem taller than she really was. Jesssika hated being short, but sometimes it was a good thing. But not this time. There would be some big shots out there, and she wanted to be noticed. Soon enough she was standing outside the large double doors. Pressing them open, Jessika was soon hit with a lot of noise. People talking, music playing over the loud speakers, and just people everywhere. An usher gestured to her, after she showed her press pass, where to sit. Jessika shuffled down the row, and plopped herself in the seat. She fiddled with her lanyard around her neck, and looked around, wondering what she might be in for. Also she wondered if she was going to get any gossip along the way.

Being The Chronicle's Music Reviews Columnist, he had been sent by Assistant Editor Brendan Harris to go to California and get some decent reviews on the latest up and coming musicians who were going to be at this event. Of course Connor didn't hesitate for one moment with regards to going, because Connor loved music. He pretty much liked anything which was out there, although his favoured style of music was anything rock. However, he had a good ear for music, and that's why he could pretty much listen to anything which was thrown at him, and be able to give an honest review on what he thought.
Connor was already inside, he had arrived about a half an hour ago, and he was already sitting in his designated seat. Naturally with it being a musical event, there was a lot of noise, between people talking and the music coming through the speakers, it didn't do much for his sensitive hearing, what with having super hearing, to the extent of that of a wolf. But then, that's because he was one. Well, he was a werewolf, not that he was a vicious one by any means, he either kept himself locked up when he was due to turn during the full moon, or he let himself roam free in the near by forest.
He concentrated really hard, so that his hearing wouldn't suffer, and after a few moments, the noise level became that of how it would sound to a normal human being. Fixing his press badge around his neck, and tapping his fingers on his notebook, he began looking around, wondering if The Chronicle would have sent anybody else to this event. And that's when he noticed her, shuffling into her seat. He didn't really know her as such, as they hadn't specifically spoken, or socialised, but he knew of her, he knew she was the new Gossip Queen of The Chronicle, and so he leaned forward and lifted up his badge and sort of waved it at her and gave her a smile.
He was waving his badge in a way as if to say, 'Hey, look, I'm from The Chronicle too'. There were a couple of seats between himself and this girl, who he was sure was called Jessika. He saw they had names on them as well, but nobody was sitting on them, and nobody had appeared to sit on them, since he had arrived. So, he got up, moved the signs along two spots and then sat down on the seat next to her. He leaned over, and gave her a bright smile.
"Hey, I was just trying to get your attention before, you're from The Chronicle too, right?" He asked, as he picked up his badge and showed her it. "I'm from The Chronicle too, here to do a music review on the new acts. Connor Robertson, by the way." He said and smiled at her again, as he held his hand out to shake her own.

Just as Jessika got comfortable in her seat, she noticed a guy waving his badge at her. Looking at him, and then the badge, she soon noticed that he also worked for The Chronicle. She returned his smile with one of her own. It was better than nothing, as they weren't sitting next to each other, but she didn't want to be rude to him. But then he moved the name signs which were on the seats between up a couple of seats, and was soon next to her.
He gave her a bright smile, and said what he was tring to do before, and wondered if she was from The Chronicle as well. Well here she went with the word vomit, she was so well known for. "Yes, I infact did see you trying to get my attention, which was sort of silly really. You should have just done what you did just now, jump a couple of seats, and then sit next to me. You looked like a monkey, swinging in a tree." She stopped, and then continued. "But yes, I am also from The Chronicle."
Jessika listened to what his role was for the paper, and what he did in relation to the job title. Then Connor held his hand out, telling her his name. Quickly taking it, Jessika shook it. "Hi Connor Robertson. Name's Jessika, Jessika Seldon, and I am the newspapers own gossip girl. Just started a couple of weeks ago, and this is my first assignment. I am hoping by the time I wrap up any gossip from this event, I will actually have an official title for the column. Only have three suggestions from the people who read the paper, or maybe they don't. But maybe they will after they read my column. I love letting everyone in on juicy gossip."
Jessika did. This was her first official gig, not including numerous blogs and sites which she started while in high school. She was always the one in the no, and Jessika hoped that this new adventure was no different.

Connor was glad when the girl returned his smile. He knew she was new to the paper, because as mentioned previous he hadn't exactly spoken or socialised with her much. But he hadn't ignored the fact how stunning she looked, even if she did look somewhat a little younger than him, but he didn't really care. Of course, he had got her attention by waving his press badge at her, when really, he probably should have just moved the names up two seats from the beginning.
When she spoke back to him, he hadn't quite expected to hear what she said. Although in some ways, the smart comments amused him, and he found his mouth turning up at the corners as much as he tried to stop himself from laughing out loud. "Well, I've never been greeted quite like that before. I like it though, because I am a bit of an animal as it happens." He began to explain, going straight into his humour about the fact he is indeed an animal, a wolf to be exact. He leaned in closer then, not that anybody would have heard anyway with the noise in the place, "You just happened to choose the wrong animal." He said in her ear and then grinned at her, and winked a little, smiling at her.
"However, good to know I got it right and that you do work at The Chronicle like me." He smiled at her again, he didn't know why he was smiling so much, but his sister had told him time and time again his smile could get him candy at a strangers door without even trying.
He was glad when she took his hand and then introduced herself. He would have told her how pretty a name she had, but he found he couldn't quite get a word in. Gossip queen was right he thought to himself and laughed inside at his own humour, he didn't think he was being mean with his thoughts, just felt that she was the right person for the job. So, really it was a compliment, right? Anyway, it didn't matter, he still thought she was a stunner, and Connor loved women.
"Well, personally, and I don't even know you, yet, I think you'll do the paper proud as their gossip columnist." Connor said, turning on the charm and putting emphasis on the word yet, as if he thought he might have some sort of luck with her. He probably didn't, someone as stunning as she was, had to have a boyfriend, or swing for the other team. But as much as Connor loved women, he never pushed the issue with anybody, he just turned on the charm, flirted a few times and waited for the results.
He himself had been at The Chronicle for at least a year, and he loved his job, so he really hoped that this event would be so great that he'd be able to get some fantastic reviews out. Sometimes, in the past, his reviews helped to get singers, groups and performing artists in stage musicals, a step up in the music world and he felt proud for knowing he was a part of their step up.

Jessik had to laugh a little when he commented on how she had greeted him. She then just shrugged, knowing full well that this was her usual self talking. Jessika had nothing to hide, but made a mental note to get some dirt on this guy. He seemed older than she was, which didn't worry Jess. She was mostly into older guys, not really being into guys around her own age. They just seemed too childish and immature for her liking.
Then he lent in, and whispered that she happened to choose the wrong animal, in regards to her calling him a monkey. Jess raised her eyesbrows when he grinned at her, and gave her a wink. "Maybe I have, but still." Jess found she was lost for words. There was no smart comment then for some reason. What the hell? Then he commented that he was glad that he got it right about her working for the paper. "Well then, one up for you on the score? I know how guys like to keep score on everything they do." Yes, she was back to her normal self again.
Jess shook Connor's hand, and then told him what she was doing there at the paper. Then Connor spoke after she did. Jess listened to what he said, "Thanks Connor. I hope so. This is my first real job for writing, so I hope I don't let anyone down. But I suppose that after I write the first official column, I will be told if it is crap or brilliant. I am hoping for second answer." Maybe Jess had too much confidence in herself, but that wasn't always a good thing. Though it was when it came to guys. First thing, Jess always things that guys will always fall for her, and second, she has her power of persuasion. But unfortunately, Jess has only had a couple of boyfriends in the past. Using her ability never worked out well. When the guy found out what she was doing, off they ran. So right now, she was one lonely chick.
Jess soon remembered that Connor had said about not knowing her yet. Looking around the room, seeing that they were beginning to settle down a bit, she then turned to Connor. "Maybe after all this is finished, we could go and get a drink somewhere? Though it might have to somewhere where they don't ask for I.D. sadly. Not twenty-one till September." Jess hated that she wasn't old enough yet to officially drink. She wondered why she hadn't gone to another country, like Australia, where she would have been legally able to drin at eighteen. Oh well.

When Connor commented on Jessika choosing the wrong animal, she didn't say too much in return. He began to wonder if he had made the new gossip queen lost for words. And he couldn't help but notice her raised eyebrows either. He would have explained it further, but it wasn't really the time or place at the moment. So he just winked at her again when she did speak, and smiled, with his eyes sparkling like they always do when he's smiling.
Seconds later, she seemed to get back her bite again, once more Connor had to do everything in his power not to laugh. He loved women in general, but ones with a challenge were even more interesting. She looked like she might be a tough one to crack. But he would do his best to try and break through that tough shell, she seemed to have surrounding her. "Ooh, feisty, I like that." Connor said and grinned, "For the record, I'm not one of these keeping the scores type guy, can't stand sports." He replied, giving her a cheeky grin. It was true though, even though Connor was a guy, he didn't care for sports much. He loved his rock music more.
"You're welcome Jessika." Connor replied with a smile when she thanked him. She then went on to say she hoped she did a good job and that she'd soon find out if her first column was crap or brilliant, hoping for it to be the latter naturally. "I'm sure, you'll breeze it Jessika." Connor replied giving her a reassuring smile, and he wasn't just saying that either. Listening to her in this short time, he could tell she would make a gossip column work somehow.
As the crowd began to settle, and it looked like the event would be starting soon, Jessika spoke mentioning about going for a drink after. He grinned at that suggestion and was about to answer her when she continued, and said that it would have to be somewhere without I.D. required, because she wasn't twenty one yet. "Really? I'd have thought you were at twenty two at least. I'd love to go for a drink, I'm sure I know somewhere we'll be safe, I've been here a few times." Connor said giving her a bright smile. Connor also thought that if she was walking in with him, she wouldn't have that much problem, and he realised it would be the perfect opportunity to get to know Jessika more.

All Jessika could do was shake her head, with a smirk on her face, when Connor called her feisty, and that he liked that. Her eyes diverted sideways, and then back to his face. Seeing him grinning, made her smile. Then he continued on to say that he didnot keep score like other guys, and that he couldn't stand sports. Well that was one for her. Every guy that she had ever known had been into sports. And now Connor told her that he couldn't stand it. "Well Mr Robertson, you would have to be the first guy that I have come across has given the sports thing a flick. What do you have to say about that?" Jess now felt that she was interviewing him. She didn't care. Maybe there would be some history as to why that was the case for him.
She liked the encouragement from him for some reason. Maybe it was because she never really had it when she was in school, what with being the gossip girl there, and everyone hated her, especially when something was said about them in her column. That was always the worst. Jess hoped that that never happened to her when her first column went to print. She would have to change her name or something. "Thanks Connor. I hope I do. We will just have to wait and see."
Jessika felt herself holding her breath slightly, waiting for Connor to answer her about going for a drink later on. She let it go, knowing that whatever he said would be fine. There was no need to use her ability on this guy. He seemed to like what she had to offer so far, what with the banter between them and all. When he though she was twenty-two at least, she felt herself find the right words. "Well, I have been told that I do look older than I am, but knowing me, I would get caught if I was at a place underage." This was the case last year, when she was asked for I.D., and she was escorted out of the club. She hated it, and hoped that the day would come and go when she was old enough to officially do the drinking thing. Connor mentioned a place that he goes to, where she will be safe. "Okay Connor, you are on. Though you are paying the fine if I get caught." She liked being in control, and telling it like it is.
Then the room started to go quiet, and the lights dimmed. Turning to Connor, Jessika said one last thing. "Well I look forward to the drink later then." With that, Jessika turned on her little tape recorder, reading to talk about what she was seeing. She hated writing anything down. Jess liked hearing her own voice as she typed up the columns. She spoke and typed faster than she wrote.
The presenter came up to the microphone, and welcomed everyone to this special event. "And now let me present the first act. They haven't been together long, but they do sould like that they will be around for sometime on the airwaves. Give it up for C-PAX." Jessika put her tape recorder to her mouth, and began to talk into it.

Connor had to stop himself from laughing out loud when Jessika commented on the fact he wasn't really into sports. He just shook his head when she asked him what he had to say about the fact he was the first guy she had met who had given sports the flick. He grinned "I would have to say that you might find yourself in for a treat then." He then winked at her, and chuckled again. Guys who weren't much into sports, could be known to be romantic, and well Connor was one of those guys. He loved being romantic, and it also meant he didn't have to constantly clock watch when with a girl, to make sure he didn't miss that important football match. He smiled when she thanked him, he didn't mind giving her encouragement, even though he didn't think she would particularly need it, it was still nice to give it. He smiled again when she mentioned that people had said she looked older than twenty before, but she was still scared she'd be caught for being under age. "Well I'm sure if you are with me, you will be fine, and I will happily pay the fine if you're caught." He said grinning and shaking his head. He honestly couldn't see it being a problem. "That makes two of us then." Connor replied when Jessika said she would look forward to the drink later, as the room began to grow quiet and the lights dimmed. Soon after the presenter came out, and spoke of a band who hadn't long got together, but felt they would be around for a while. Connor took out his notepad and pen, and wrote down the name of the act who had been announced as performing first. C-PAX, four piece boy band. He could tell that they probably weren't the type of band or music he'd normally listen to, but even from the first few lines, he could tell they would go places, and he began to write down his thoughts.

Jessika listened to his reply to know being interested in sports. When he winked after his response, Jess wasn't too sure what he meant by it all, but soon felt like she wanted the challenge to know what he meant. So this little piece of information moved to the back of her head for for future reference. Connor didn't seem like other guys, which was good in her book. She knew that for a fact. The sports thing was just for starters. Jess kept thinking about it for a few more seconds, but definately decided to ask more about what he meant later. That smile of his was doing some serious work on her right now, and for some reason she slightly blushed. Well, she felt her face get hot, and she put her hand to her cheek, for just an instant, and lightly laughed. Normally Jess was the girl to get the guys all giddy for her, and now it seemed that it was the other way around. Then when Connor commented about her saying that she had been told that she looked older, and that he would pay the fine, all Jess could do was giggle a little. She must have sounded like a little school girl, rather than a young woman working. But here she was, picking up a guy who worked at the same place she did. What was she thinking? Well she was thinking that he was handsome, sweet, sounded smart, and seemed he could hold is on in any situation. Well definately when speaking with girls anyway. Jess had started off coming off confident and smart mouthed (as per usual), but now she felt her self slip a little. This had never happened to her before. Jessika soon realised that she hadn't answered his comment. "Well, I am sure that I could handle the fine, but thanks," giving Connor that sweet smile of hers. The one that she loved giving to guys. But she needed had bothered with Connor, as she felt that he was doing most of the work on her, more than the other way around. Jessika could only smile when Connor said that he was also looking forward to the drinks later. She was glad, and once again had to smile, as she listened to the presenter. If this day was going to end well, liked she hoped, Miss Jessika Seldon might end up walking out of that bar with a boyfriend. Finally. Jessika listened to C-PAX singing the song entitled 'Inconsolable'. It was a ballad type song, but quite powerful. So Jessika began talking into her tape recorder. "These guys sound pretty good. Strong vocals, and great range. They are also rather good looking as well, especially the blonde guy. But... looking at the booklet for today, he is dating. Oh well, will have to get the goss on that one, and see if it is indeed serious.'The song continued, and Jess held her tape recorder up to record a few seconds of the song. She wondered if the announcer was right, would they indeed be big on the radio? Only time would tell. Jessika liked most types of music, and knew that she would definately follow these guys to see how they go. They might even be the topic of some hot gossip on her column. **** 1 1/2 hours later **** The presentation was coming to an end, and there was one more act left. Jessika saw that her tape recorder's tape was coming to an end, and hoped that she would have enough to finish it with the last act. Jess turned to Connor, and quietly ask. "I wonder. If my tape runs out, could I look on your notes for the last act?" She knew deep down that he would say yes, but she still waited for an answer.

Connor was somewhat a little surprised he didn't get a smart comment back from Jess about his response to being the first guy she had come across who wasn't into sports, however, he decided that maybe the no comment from Jess was better than getting one. Although he was certainly liking her smart mouth and feistiness. Connor was quick to notice the glow on her cheeks as she blushed, but he wasn't about to pick her up for it for the simple fact, he somehow didn't think she would appreciate it. He just continued to smile. Connor was being quite straight up with her, but he wondered how he would do later, when they went for a drink. Connor loves women, but the wolf in him makes him a little awkward around girls when it comes to getting a little more serious, because he can't just suddenly disappear on them three nights a month and not tell them the reason why. That was usually when they tended to say, well it's been good knowing you, but bye bye. Only a few girls in past relationships have lasted the pace with him and understood, but none of them were the right girl for him, hence him being single again now. The most important person in Connor's life is his sister Chantelle, she's a werewolf too and she understands him and he understands her. When Jess had said thanks but she was sure she could handle the fine, he just smiled at her again. "Well, if you're sure, don't say I didn't offer now." He said grinning, and throwing in a wink as well, he was teasing the life out of her, but in a good way. She had got his attention, and he was hoping he had got hers. He couldn't believe he was actually going to go for drinks after this with Jess. He was actually quite excited about it, but when would be the right time to tell her about his little problem? Leaving it until the last moment seemed to prove a bad thing in the past, maybe he should be straight up about it, like he was with everything else. Soon the boy band were doing their stuff, and as Jess spoke into her recorder thing, Connor continued to write down notes on what he was hearing. Good vocal range, all seem to take a turn on lead vocals. None of this standing looking good while moving from side to side. They'll do well with the girls and gay community. They have good tone and pitch. They will do well for the audience they are reaching out to. One singer stands out for me. The blonde one. Must remember to get individual names later. Score 9/10. ****One and a Half Hours Later**** There was only one act left, and most of them after the boy band named C-PAX hadn't really stood out for Connor at all. When that happened, he didn't really bother to write notes, instead just put scores out of ten. The highest for the rest of the acts up this point had only been five, which for Connor was quite a poor score. Jess then quietly asked Connor before the last act came on, if her tape ran out, could she look on his notes for the last act. He gave her a smile. "Sure you can. Don't mind at all." And with that the presenter came back out onto the stage again. He then began to talk again. "Well ladies and gentlemen, we have one act left. You may know of her. In fact I'm pretty sure you know her as she's our First Daughter. Give it up for Claire Petrelli." Connor couldn't believe that the President's daughter was singing at this event. It was incredible. He leaned in to Jess' ear, "Didn't know she was going to be here. Wow." He said and laughed a little, as he sat and listened to her perform 'Wake Up Call'. Connor once again began to take notes. She looks sexy, never thought I'd say that about the First Daughter. She has a great voice. Even I might be tempted to follow her. I think everybody is going to love her. The song she performed, wasn't overly pop sounding, and it wasn't a slow ballad. In fact it was quite up tempo. I can see Claire Petrelli going far. Score 10/10 - gets an extra point for being the First Daughter.

"Thanks," Jess said to Connor when he agreed to look at his notes for the last act. She hoped that they were in fact good. So listening to the presenter, Jess couldn't believe what she was hearing. Our own First Daughter was now breaking into the recording industry. This should be interesting, thought Jess. She went in to talk on her tape recorder, when Connor lent into her ear. She nodded in agreement to what he said. "I know. I had no idea that she was breaking into the recording industry."
So Jess listened to a few bars of the song, and then decided to put down her thoughts, talking briefly so she could get in all of her thoughts onto tape.
Well, this was a surprise to have Claire Petrelli as one of the acts, let alone the final performance for the afternoon. She comes across to me to be trying a bit too hard, expecially with the moves. Her voice isn't too bad, but nothing I haven't really heard before. The song is catchy, but again seeing her peforming it is kind of putting me off the song. Will have to listen to it as just the song, and not watching her performing it.
Jess just then heard the tape stop, and then begin to rewind. That was lucky, thought Jess. But she would definately see what Connor wrote down about her. It was going to be interesting to see Claire's performance rated by a male. Once Claire finished, and left the stage, the presenter came back on stage to close the showcase for the record company.
Once it was all over, Jess placed her tape recorder into her bag. Looking back at Connor, she spoke. "So. It looks like the showcase went well. There were some interesting acts, but overall they might have some winners on their hands. What do you think?" Jessika waited for his response, wondering what he might say. Jess then got up, and asked, "Are you ready for that drink? We are now off the clock for work, we have done a bit for the paper. Now we deserve some downtime."

Connor smiled when Jessika thanked him for allowing her to look over his notes should her tape run out on her. He never took notes on one of those things, he had done it at the start, but the tape always ran out on him, so he went back to taking notes the old fashioned way, pen and paper. At least he knew he'd be able to get all his notes down, and he always made sure to carry extra pens in his work case.
"Neither did I, and I write the musical column at the paper." Connor laughed as he said this, because it was quite funny, to be here taking notes on up and coming acts for his music review column and had no idea about the First Daughter breaking into the music industry. He wondered how that all came about.
Connor couldn't help but listen to what Jess was saying about Claire as he wrote his own notes down. By the sound of it, she wasn't overly impressed with Claire. She wasn't saying anything bad, just not as glowing as what he was writing down. He had to laugh at himself for that one, must be something to do with the genes or hormones. Obviously he was nothing more than a hot blooded male.
The presenter was now back on stage closing the event, and once he was gone, he heard Jess speak again. He turned to face her giving her a bright smile. "Yeah, I agree, it went well, definitely some interesting acts, although I was well impressed with two of them, even though neither were normally the type of music I listen to." Connor was of course referring to the boy band C-PAX and Claire Petrelli of course.
Jess then stood up asking him if he was ready for that drink, now that they were both clocked off work for the evening. He stood up himself then, "Yeah, sure, why not. Sounds like a good plan to me, the perfect way to end the night." Spending it with an interesting, beautiful young woman, he continued in his thoughts, glad that those words had indeed stayed in his head and hadn't come out loud.

Jessika wondered if Connor would want to compare notes on every single act that displayed their music this afternoon. She didn't know whether he would agree or disagree on anything she had said on the tape. But really, why did Jess care, she only worried about silly things, and this was not one of them. She wanted to do her job well, and give the public the well deserved gossip she wanted to add on her column.
Jess heard Connor's comments on the showcase. "You will have to tell me who stood out for you when we go for those drinks. We will just to compare notes." She wondered if that is all that they will do. Surely, knowing Jess, she will end up rambling on about herself, which sometimes scared off guys. She had learned over the last couple of years, that she needed to stop doing that, but ended up doing it anyway. Jess decided to make a promise to herself that she would allow time for Connor to also talk about himself. Hopefully she stuck to that promise.
After the event closed, and Jess stood up, asking Connor if he was ready, he said sure, and that it was the perfect way to end the night. "Great." So Jess led the way out of the crowds of media, who were still there. By the end of the maze, she knew she had said 'excuse me' about a dozen times. Finally they were at the door, and then down the stairs, meeting the entrance to the building. Once outside, Jess stopped. "As you know where this bar, or whatever it is, is, you had better lead the way."
When Connor led the way, Jess walked close enough to chat, but not close enough in order for them to touch. But would that be such a bad thing? Jess started to talk to Connor. "So, who stood out for you this afternoon, musically wise? Or if you prefer to compare them physically, like in looks, that will do too. But we were both there to hear the talent. But eye candy is always good." There she was again, rambling her mouth away. When would she ever learn.

Connor just smiled at Jess when she said that he would have to tell her who stood out for him when they went for the drinks, and to compare notes. He nodded his head, unable to stop smiling, there was something captivating about Jess, even if she did ramble slightly, but to Connor he found that all the more endearing. He hoped that they might get to do more than just compare notes, but he also knew that he was quite a good bit older than her, and figured she might not actually be interested in him that way.
"Yeah, sure I'll tell you who stood out for me when we go for the drinks, and I guess it will be fun to compare notes." He had a feeling that she would be gooey eyed over C-PAX while he had gone gooey eyed over Claire Petrelli, but wasn't that to be expected? He was a guy and she was a girl, it be damn weird if they had gone gooey eyed over the same sex. Well not weird, he had nothing against gays and lesbians, each to their own and all that, but yeah.
After they both stood up to head for the drinks, Jess had stepped aside to let him lead the way since he knew of the place she should be safe in. "Of course, sure." He said, grinning at her, showing those cute dimples of his. "It's not too far away from here to be honest." He wanted to put his hand on her back to lead her in the right direction, but wasn't sure how she would react, seeing as she seemed to be making sure she didn't touch him as they walked.
When Jess asked about who stood out for him musically wise, or if he wanted to compare them by looks that was fine too, it all came out like a ramble, which Connor could only shake his head over, and chuckle slightly. It was so cute. "I'll give it to you both ways shall I?" Connor grinned, "Alright, musically wise? I'd have to go for that boy band C-PAX. They sing good, keep in tune, they all take a turn at singing. A lot of these boy bands, you get one main singer while the others just stand and look pretty, I hate that."
Connor stopped for a breath then and laughed a little after what he said, "Looks wise, well I really have to go for Claire Petrelli, she looked god damned hot up there. Her voice is good, not as strong as the boys, but yeah, for me, those were the two acts I could see really going somewhere. So what about yourself?" Connor had to ask the question to Jess, because he wanted to know what her views on the event was.
They had also reached the bar by that point. "Just in here." He said, as he pointed with his hand to the left, and turned. It was a good bar, it was one of these ones who didn't go for bouncers at the door, so it was far easier to get inside. As Connor walked in, the barman nodded his head at him. "Alright Connor." Connor nodded his head back, "Yeah, am good Jack." He then looked at Jess, and smiled, "So, what can I get you to drink?" He then stood propping up the bar with his elbow while he waited on her reply.

Jess continued to notice all the little bits of body language coming from Connor. Mostly the smiles he gave her. They were nice and very welcoming to her. Jess always like the attention from guys, but Connor seemed like he was a little different. A good different. She would have to find out more in order to get a full perspective of Mr. Connor Robertson.
Jess listened to Connor as he compared his favourites from the showcase in two categories. He actually decided to use the two categories she suggested, which she thought was really cool. She listened to who he chose for the artists who were great musically. Well, that was a match for both of them. Then she heard him comment about how he saw most boy bands these days. Jessika had to agree. "I understand completely. Though for me, I have always followed most of the groups over the last few years. Maybe because of the age I am I have seen a few."
Then she listened to what his favourite was for looks. No surprise there that he said Claire Petrelli. She kept her comment about her when he then asked her what she thought. Well, here goes nothing. If they argued over this, then there was no hope for them to be together, if that is what is meant to happen. "Okay. The only artists who stood out for me out of the whole showcase, in both areas was C-PAX. They had strong vocals, and they had great range between the four of them. Also got a bit of eye candy from the blonde guy, if I do say so. But I did read in the booklet that he is seeing someone. I wonder who?" Jessika was going to definately check out any info on that one for sure.
Just then Connor indicated that the bar was just at their left. Jess followed him in, and watched as the barman acknowledged Connor. Connor nodded his head, and replied to the barman, whose name was Jack. Jess saw that he was now looking at her, and asked what she wanted to drink. Hmm... what would she drink, even though she is not legally of age. Not wanting to look like she had no idea what to order, she decided to ask the barman. "What do you have in a white wine. Something fruity." She waited for the barman to answer.
