As Connor gave his view on the performances they had listened to, he began to wonder what Jessika thought of the acts they had seen. He wasn't sure if they would have the same opinion or not, but who cared? Each to their own and all that, right? However, she agreed with him on C-PAX being the best musically wise, although, with them being a boy band, he sort of thought she would have gone for them somehow.
He was also glad she understood what he meant by boy bands these days having one main singer while others were just there to look pretty, not to forget, waving their arms about from side to side like a puppet on strings. She did mention about her age and having seen a few bands, which made him look down at her then and smile, still finding it difficult to believe she wasn't legal age to drink in the bars here yet.
"Well, since you've followed a lot of groups over the years, would you say C-PAX are the best group out of them all?" He felt like he was challenging her a little, maybe he was, maybe he wasn't, but he was just intrigued to find out what other groups she had followed. Of course Connor was more into his rock music, soft, medium, heavy, you name it, he loved, from Nickelback and Meatloaf to Aerosmith and Megadeth.
She didn't agree with his looks choice however, but in a way, he'd have found it rather strange for her to agree that Claire Petrelli had looked hot, then again, not that it would have been a problem to him if she had, just be a pity, for him, if she swung that way. She then pointed out the fact the blonde guy in the band was eye candy, but that she had read in the leaflet he was seeing someone and wondered who.
"Think you might have a chance with him if he'd been single?" He was teasing her, and he showed that, by grinning and winking at her. Although, he had to wonder who he was dating himself, and then he came up with an idea. "Well, you know, being in the music review section of The Chronicle, maybe I could set up an interview with the band, or even with the main front man and find out that piece of juicy information for you?" He chuckled a bit then at his own cleverness at the idea of interviewing, what was his name again, he searched his memory from looking at the leaflet, Jackson Poe, that was it.
Once inside the bar, Connor waited for Jessika to tell him what she wanted to drink. She then asked Jack what he had in the way of white wines, something fruity. He watched as Jack scanned the bottles behind him, and then turned to face the both of them again, "I've got White Zinfandel, is that alright for you miss?" Jack asked, Connor waited for Jess to reply, and only when he knew that's what she wanted or not, would he order his own drink as well.

Jessika had finished what she wanted to say, in regards to her thoughts, and then Connor decided to ask her, whether C-PAX was the best group out of all she had followed. Well, to Jess, it depended. Most of the groups she had followed, and still followed now, were the same, but different in their own right. She thought, looking out the side of her. "Well, yes, I have followed a few groups in my time, but they have all been different in their own right. Some offered the entire package, others only gave 75%. Though, C-PAX is probably the best there is at the moment. They definately have the entire package."
Jess then thought about the groups that she listened to. "I still listen to groups which have been around for quite some time, like Boyz II Men. But I also love to get away from the pop groups, and love listening to Common Rotation, which is more folk/rock. So I have a few different tastes in music." But for Jess, she also loved the solo artists. But she saw sure that they would talk about everything music over drinks.
After Jess mentioned about the guy, Jackson, from C-PAX, she was kind of waiting for a smart comment. She kind of smiled, "Well. You never know. But I would have to infact have to find out where he hangs out." She smirked, and then wondered if that was possible. She did work for The Chronicle after all, and was sure to get some contacts. There were sure to be some photographers who were constantly following the famous people, but really C-PAX were only just displayed to the media this afternoon. But she did remember that this Jackson Poe was starting out as a solo artist before the band, so who knew.
Connor then told her that maybe he could set up an interview with the band or just Jackson, since he was in the music review section of the paper, just to get that piece of information for her. Her eyes brightened up, and turned to him. "Would you do that for me?" She started to get a little excited, thinking that she would get some information about it. "Then you could tell them that the gossip columnist would love to sit down with the one and only Jackson Poe."
Jessika waited for the barman to tell her what wine he had to offer. She didn't remember names, but it sounded okay. "That will be great. Thanks." She watched as he went over, got a glass, and began to pour the wine out for her. He handed her the glass, which Jess took. "Thanks." She sniffed the contents, and could smell its sweet aroma in the glass. She took a sip, and instantly loved how it didn't leave a burning feeling in her throat, like most wines did. "It's good. It has just the right amount of alcohol in it. I hate it when the alcohol content is so high." There she goes again, rambling about nothing much at all. But that is what she was thinking.

When Connor had asked Jessika if she thought C-PAX were the best group she had heard out of all the ones she had followed, she replied by saying that they were all different in their own right, meaning, to Connor, she couldn't really say C-PAX were the best she had heard. "I understand what you're saying about being different in their own way." She then agreed that C-PAX were probably the best at the moment as they had the full package. He nodded his head, "I agree, I'm not really into that sort of music, but I agree when it comes to comparing them to others I've heard, they're the best by far in my opinion." He had a feeling they might talk about music quite a bit during the course of the evening.
Jess then went on to talk about other groups such as Boyz II Men and Common Rotation. He had heard of both groups, naturally, but he couldn't really comment on their music, as he hadn't heard a lot of it. "It's good to have a variety of music you like, although I have to admit that for me, it's generally just rock music on my agenda. Groups like Nickelback, Creed, Aerosmith and Megadeth to name a few."
When Jess had spoken about the front man of C-PAX, Connor couldn't resist teasing her ever so slightly, especially given that he was seeing someone. She had said that she would have had to find out where he hangs out anyway, and on that note, Connor couldn't resist saying something, which may or may not benefit him. "Well, I guess it's lucky for me, he is seeing someone and you have no idea where he hangs out." He winked slightly after saying that, having no idea what so ever how Jess would react. He was now waiting for the slap across the face, but he sure hoped it wouldn't happen.
When Jess asked him in an excited voice if he really would organise an interview with C-PAX or the front man himself Jackson, Connor could only grin and winked again, "Sure, why not." She then mentioned he could say that their gossip columnist wanted to sit down with the one and only Jackson Poe, "I could tell them you want to sit down with the one and only Jackson Poe, just so long as you promise me you won't try and date him, I mean, there are far better men out there." He smirked and winked at her again. Connor really wasn't a guy who was full of himself, he just loved messing around, and for some reason he was finding Jess a good target to tease, like she could take it. "I'm messing with you, sorry." He thought he would add that in just in case, he really didn't want to upset her, and if he escaped a slap the first time, he didn't want to get one this time. He just couldn't help himself from messing around.
Jessika then said the wine the barman mentioned sounded alright, so once she was given her glass, Connor ordered himself a beer and then paid for both the drinks. As Jess spoke about the wine, Connor could only chuckle slightly, there really was something endearing about her rambling, and he was finding himself very attracted to her. "Well I'm glad it meets your approval." He then looked around and spotted a booth to the side, "Would you like to move over there, free booth." He pointed it out and waited to see what her reply would be before he made his way over to the booth.

Jessika listened to the bands that Connor listened to. She nodded, knowing a couple of them, but there was one which she had no idea of. Jessika made a mental note to look up the band Megadeth. That one was new to her. Jess and Connor continued their banter about Jackson Poe, and then Connor said that it was lucky for him that he was seeing someone, and that she had no idea where the guy hung out. Jess slowed her walk down a bit then, but was still walking. When he winked at her, she felt her heart melt slightly. She looked sideways, but not at him. She rolled her tongue in her mouth, wondering what she could say, but all she came up with was a smirk across her face.
Then something popped into her head. Grabbing his jacket slightly, she glanced him with a small smile, "Well then. You might just get lucky with that comment." With that Jess walked back to her normal speed again, going a head a little. When Connor spoke about getting her an interview with Jackson, he made her promise to not go and date the guy Jackson, as there are far better men out there. "Well, like who?" She was teasing him right back. Jessika wasn't stupid, far from it. She knew what he was getting at. When he apologised, she shook her hand slightly. "No, Connor. It's okay. I can handle myself in any given situation, including moments of flirting." That was so true. She could tell that he was teasing her, but it felt to her that he was also flirting, which she was doing also. Well, that was just her to do that.
Jess blushed a bit after her rambling about the wine, but it was nice, and most people got used to her rambling outbursts. She hoped that Connor would be one of those who got used to them soon enough. Connor soon commented on what she said, which confirmed that he didn't mind her rambling. She watched as he looked around, and pointed out a booth to her. "Sure," Jess said as she nodded, and looked away from him. She felt her face begin to go back to a normal temperature, for now.
She followed Connor to the booth. Jess then put the glass of wine on the table as she slid in a bit into the booth. As she waited for Connor to settle in as well, she took a sip of the wine. It was good. Once they were both in, Jess decided to ask something about Connor, besides his love of music. "Thanks for bring me here. It was good to know that I didn't have to pull out my I.D." She then paused, and then continued. "So, what other interests do you have, besides your obvious love of music?"

Well, so far, so good on not getting a slap on the face he thought with a smile. So his teasing hadn't upset her, that was good to know. However, for a gossip columnist, she seemed to have hit a quiet spell, and he wondered if he'd actually been able to make her lost for words, which disappointed him a little. But no, seconds after he thought that, out came her reply, along with her grabbing his jacket slightly, which made him smirk. What she said however, made him smirk all the more. "Really? I actually thought I might have got a slap in the face at first, but that's good to know." He winked at her again, and grinned. And then, because he was Connor and he simply couldn't help himself, he added, "So how lucky, is lucky?" He chuckled slightly then, shaking his head at his own cheeky flirting.
When he had carried on with his cheeky flirting, after agreeing to find out who Jackson was dating if he got an interview with him, but made her promise not to date him, as there were better men out there, she had asked him, like who. He knew fine well she was teasing him back and he was loving it. "Like me, of course." He grinned brightly then, and winked again. It would seem Connor had the Peter Petrelli winking bug. When he had apologised for his flirting before, Jessika said it was fine. She could handle herself in any situation including moments of flirting. Well, he knew he was going to be teasing, flirting again, but he really couldn't help but reply with, "Really? Was I flirting? I never even thought I was doing that." Well if she could handle herself in any given situation, then he no longer had to worry about teasing her did he?
When he had asked if she wanted to go to the booth he had spotted, she said sure, and he smiled then. Once they made their way over, and Jess had slipped into the booth, Connor wondered if he should slip in beside her, or sit opposite her. Even though they had been flirting before, Connor opted for sitting opposite her. He didn't want to push it too much. Jess then thanked him for bringing her to the bar he had chosen. "You're welcome. Had to bring you somewhere I knew you'd have no problems, if I wanted to spend time with you." He had done it again, only this time, it wasn't cheeky flirting, it was serious flirting, or at least that's what he liked to think in his own mind.
Jess then asked him what other interests he had other than his love of music. He smiled then, "Well, I love being outdoors, reading, going to the movies and eating out, oh and the company of a good woman." He couldn't help but add in the line of the good woman, and winked again. Other than his music, Connor didn't have many interests, of course, there was the whole wolf thing, but he wasn't sure how soon into their, well what ever this was, he should tell her. However, he knew honesty was the best policy. "There is probably something you should really know about me, but I'll admit, I don't like having to tell people about it, because I never know how they'll react." There that was definitely a step in the right direction of telling her.
"So, how about Jessika, what does she like to do other than enjoy music, gossip and ramble." He winked again, and grinned, because he was teasing her with the ramble thing, and hopefully she would know that.

Jessika just rolled her eyes as Connor asked her how lucky was lucky. Now he was showing his cheeky side to her, which she was beginning to love. Most guys were so full on, where they just threw themselves at girls, and some of them, Jess always found and had to ditch after the first date. But Connor was different. Maybe it was because he was probably a few years older than her, who know. She definitely liked what he was gently throwing her way.
Jess raised her eyebrows slowly, though she knew that her face would definitely tell him that she was only joking, when he replied, saying that he was some of the better men out there. "Really? Well, we will just have to test that theory over a drink." Jess then just pouted her lips, smirking at him, when Connor pretended to be all innocent about not being aware that he was flirting. He sure was cute when he was mucking about. Did she just think that just now?
When Jess had sat down, she wondered if he would sit next to her, but really that didn't make sense. She was glad that he sat opposite, so that they could talk, really looking at each other as they both spoke. When she had said thanks for bringing her to the bar, Connor said she was welcome, and that he had to bring her somewhere he knew she would have no problems, if he wanted to spend time with her. Jess quickly took her glass and took a sip of the wine. Did HE just say that? Well, she must have some kind of hold over him, or maybe he had some hold over her. Whatever was happening between them, Jess sure liked it. There was just something different - in a good way - about Connor. She couldn't wait to know more.
Jess listened to Connor's interests. He did seem to like being active, and then he mentioned the whole thing about loving the company of a good woman. Was that what he was classing her as - a good woman. He didn't really know her, but really, she didn't really know him either, but she was having this attraction to him still. "Well, that is a nice list of things to have an interest in. The last one caught my attention the most though." Jess thought that he might elaborate on the last point, so that she could keep digging down into the unknown black hole that was Connor. She wasn't a gossip columnist for nothing.
Then he mentioned about having something else that she should really know about Connor. Jess was going to ask, when he then asked her what she liked to do, besides enjoy music, gossip and ramble. That grin was really getting to her now. Each time he smiled, she just had to do that as well. So smiling, Jess told him. "I love acting, but only really dabble here and there. Not known really, but that is fine. I think I will be known more for writing more than anything. I love going on trips to anywhere. I just love the spontaneity of just jumping into a car, and just driving. Love it. And above all, I do love fashion. Love dressing up, even at my age."

Connor noticed when he had asked Jessika, how lucky was lucky, she didn't exactly answer him, but he did catch the eye roll, which was good, because he had been teasing her, and seeing her do that action, meant it had worked. So he just grinned at her, that way with his tongue just edging out between his teeth, making it all the more endearing.
When Connor had said he might be one of the better men out there, she mentioned testing the theory over a drink. Wasn't that what they were going to do now? Go for a drink? So, she could test that theory then, couldn't she? He chuckled a little, and then with the same endearing grin, "Well, I thought that's what we were going to do now, anyway?" Then just to elaborate what he meant, he added, "Go for a drink, that is."
When he had listed off his things to do other than listen to music, Jess said it was a nice list, but the last one caught her attention the most. "Really? Why, what did I say?" He questioned her, knowing full well what she was referring to, but he really was in a very teasing mood right now, he just couldn't help it. She seemed the type, well from what he could tell so far, who would have a good laugh at the teasing, and likely to give as good as she got, which was great for Connor.
He had mentioned to Jess, about there being something else she should know, and of course he was referring to his little wolf problem, but he hadn't volunteered any more information at that point, and had quickly went on to ask Jessika what her other interests were. Once she answered, he would go back to what he had just said.
"Well, you have a pretty good list of interests yourself. I quite like spontaneity myself. We should go off on a spontaneous drive sometime, together." Wait, did he just say that? Now, he really wasn't actually flirting, he was being serious. But, he was finding himself attracted to Jessika so much, that the idea of going for a spontaneous drive with her, didn't seem such a bad thing. Getting back onto his teasing, he then added, "And, I don't think a girl can ever be too old to enjoy dressing up."
He did feel like he was going to be bringing the atmosphere down a little now, but he figured, if anything were to happen between them, that he should tell her about himself. "Getting back to what I said before. There's something you should know about me, I'm not like normal guys." Oh my god, that sounded so Thriller he realised, and had to shake his head and chuckle a little, "But really..." He then leaned in, even though they were in a booth of their own, "I'm a werewolf. I know, you will probably find it crazy, but it's true." There he had said it, and now he leaned back in his chair, with his hands on his head, because this was usually when the girls began to scream hysterically and abandon him.

"Well, you mentioned the company of a good woman. So does that mean I might be in a list of women who are good company to keep? Or am I going to be a bad influence on you?" Jess knew that sometimes she was a bad influence, as sometimes her rambling rubbed off on people. Or sometimes she was just too damn persuasive on the guy, or girl, depending on the company she was in at the time. She tried to not use her ability, but sometimes she was too determined, and it would be then used to get what she wanted.
Jess listened to Connor, commenting about her list of interests. And the next thing he said kind of took her aback a bit. She hoped she didn't look too shocked at all. Jess thought it was interesting that he would suggest the two of them going on a drive together so soon, as they had really only just met. But Jess was warming up to Connor, liking his cheeky side, of cause. She knew it was playing well off of her own personality. She had rambled alot over the last few hours, hoping that it hadn't turned Connor off her. Though if it had, he would have been long gone by now. Then Connor commented about her saying that she loved dressing up, stating that a girl can never be too old to enjoy dressing up. "Well thanks. I hope that I never grow out of it. Just love buying new clothes, even though sometimes I can't afford it."
But then the mood got a bit more serious, so Jess sipped a bit more of her wine, as Connor spoke to her. He seemed to joke at first, which Jess kind of smiled at, but still wondered what he had to say to her that seemed rather important and serious. She tried to take in everything that Connor had just said, even if it was not a lot. She sat back , resting into the booth. What could she say to that? He didn't seem like a person who could turn into a creature like that.
Jess let out a breath, and looked at him. "Okay." She looked down at her hands, which were playing with the glass now. She was only slightly scared at the prospect of a potential boyfriend being an animal like this. But with that fear aside, she was beginning to like Connor, for what she had seen and heard from the moment that they had met earlier this afternoon. Jess then decided to look back at him. "It's not crazy. It is rather kind of freaky, but not what I thought you might be." Jess had so many questions now. So she thought that maybe she might start off with a couple of easy ones for him to answer, only if he wanted to answer. "So. Were you born like this? Or were you bitten by a werewolf?" Just then Jess knew that she would have to tell him about her ability as well.

Connor chuckled a little, grinning deeply, when Jessika reminded him of what he had said, even though he had actually remembered it. He just wanted to say what she would say. He sat forward, so he was leaning in closer to her, "Well, there's definitely a list of women who are good company to keep, but I have this feeling, that your name is going to go straight to the top." He winked at her, and smiled. Leaning even closer, he continued with, "As for bad influence, I rather think it might be me who has the bad influence on you."
Connor then took a few sips of his beer, looking at her the whole time he did so. Yes, he was definitely attracted to her, and was constantly finding her endearing. She was a little bit of a challenge to him, and he was beginning to realise he liked that. When Connor had said without thinking about them both going for a spontaneous drive together sometime, Jessika never said anything. He did notice that she looked a little shocked by his suggestion, and of course he had surprised himself by saying it. Now he felt a little awkward. Smiling sheepishly, he looked at her, "Ehm, sorry if that was a bit too much." He looked down at his beer with his hands on the bottle and began to twiddle his thumbs a little. Awkward!
Connor had then commented about her interest in fashion and dressing up, saying he didn't think a girl was ever too old to dress up. "I think just about every girl enjoys buying new clothes even when they can't afford it." Just then Connor had a thought going through his head, thinking how good it would be to give her money to buy that special outfit she had been keeping her eye on for a few weeks. He then shook his head of the thoughts, hadn't he already shocked her with the mention of going on a spontaneous drive with her?
When conversation got dark, when Connor told her his secret, he really had expected her to just take off on him, but she was still sitting there, so far, so good. Now he was just waiting for her response. That one word 'okay' and the way she looked at her hands made him think she was shocked, upset, scared even? Didn't surprise him, it was the same reaction he got from every girl when he got to tell them that part of him.
After what felt like a long silence to Connor, Jessika began to speak again, saying it wasn't crazy, just freaky, and he wasn't what she had expected him to be. "What did you think I was going to say?" He couldn't help but question her, he was interested to know what she was thinking, as it couldn't have been Evolved Human, they both worked for the Evolved Human newspaper, and that newspaper was only run by their kind.
Jess then began to ask him a question about how he became a werewolf. He wondered if she would want to know. This meant the conversation was about to get even darker, he could only hope he could talk about it. Although it had happened quite a few years ago now. "I was bitten." That was at least the question answered in the simplistic way, now to tell her what happened.
"My family were attacked one night, my parents were killed, my sister Chantelle and I survived, but we are both werewolves, because we were bitten. Neither of us particularly enjoy being what we are, even though we have a passion for wolves. Most of all, neither of us like having to tell people what we are, because they don't usually stay around us for long. Especially those of the opposite sex who may or may not be interested in us."
He looked back down at his beer bottle then, with both his hands around it, memories of that night flooding through his head. He hated it, and he hated what he and his sister were, but what could either of them do about it?

Jess felt herself blush a little when Connor had said that he had a feeling that her name would go to the top of the list. Was he that confident? Maybe she would giving off that vibe to him. Well, Jess was a pretty confident person, though she did have her moments of her self confidence slipping, like anyone. But she felt that that was not going to happen at all. Not while the banter between them kept going. Then Connor lent in close to her, and said that he would rather think that he was the bad influence on her. Jess looked at him, "Well, I wouldn't mind that either." Then she smiled cheekily at him.
Connor soon after apologised for suggesting the whole spontaneous drive thing. Jess saw that he looked down at his beer, and began to twiddle his thumbs. She felt bad for probably looking a bit shocked at the suggestion. To put his mind at ease, Jess put a hand gently on one of his own. "It's okay. It was a nice gesture. It was just that, we have just met today, and all. That was it. But I will have to take you up on your offer one day, when I have had a shit day at work. Just get away from it all." Jess hoped that they would get over this conversation hurdle and get back to how the conversation was going before he had said that.
"I have to agree about that. I don't know how many times I have bought a pair of jeans because I wanted them, but didn't really need them, or could afford them. But once I tried them on, I knew that they were mine." Jess didnt' know why she was sharing that piece of information, but it was true. Though it didn't matter what sort of clothing it was, if she could see herself in it, she bought it.
When Connor asked her what she had expected, Jessika shrugged her shoulders. "I am not sure. But werewolf was not something that I thought you would be. You seem too nice a person to be one of those creatures." Then Jess listened in as to how he had become one of those creatures. She couldn't imagine being attacked and bitten by one. The thought of it just made her shudder. He told her that his parents were killed, and he and his sister survived, but they were now werewolves.
The last thing that Connor said made her really look at him. Well, she thought, I am interested in you. Again Jess placed a hand on Connor. He was looking down at his beer, but hoped that her touch would make him look at her. "Connor. I am not running away from what you told me. I will be here." Jess couldn't believe that she was saying this to a guy she had only really known for a few hours. But her heart was going out to Connor. He seemed to have had more of a rough time then she had ever had.
Jess gave Connor to settle a bit, as he had just told her about how he had become a werewolf. "Well I think it is only fair that I tell you my ability." It was totally different to what Connor was. "I have the ability of persuasion. I can basically make people do what I tell them, if I really want them to." She stopped and soon knew that she should tell him something else. "And don't worry. I haven't used my ability on you at all. You have been seeing the real Jessika Seldon the whole time." There, she told him to reassure him, just in case he was wondering.

After Connor said he felt that he was the bad influence on Jess, rather than the other way about, he grinned cheekily at her response. "Well, that's good to know." He winked at her then, giving her another cheeky smile. Then Connor had to make things a little awkward by suggesting the spontaneous drive. He soon felt one of her hands on his gently and he looked back up at her. Jess then began to speak and said it was alright, just that it was a bit of a shock since they had only just met that day, he could understand.
"I know, I wasn't really meaning for us to take off like the next day, it really all just came out wrong, but I'm glad you're alright with it. The last thing I want to do is upset you. But, yeah, if you ever feel like you want to get away from it all, then come knocking on my door." He winked, giving her another cheeky smile, getting back to the way he had been with her all night, awkwardness already forgotten.
Connor chuckled as Jess agreed about the way girls always bought clothes even if they weren't needed or could afford him. He just knew how girls worked, probably because he was so close to his sister Chantelle. "Understand perfectly, living with my sister kind of does that to me." He grinned, winking at her, he had a feeling his sister would love Jess. In many ways they were one of a kind, loved to shop, and had a tendency to ramble. Another reason why Connor was finding Jess' rambling endearing, because it was another quality of his sister.
When Jess shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know, but werewolf was something she didn't think he could be because he was too nice to be one of those creatures. "A few people have said that, but we aren't like the massive ugly things you see in movies, we actually change to wolves, just a far more wild, bigger version of your normal wolf." Not that it was any better, but he thought if he explained that, she might not feel quite so weirded out by it all.
After Connor had told her about how they became what they were, and how people never usually stay around them for long once they know. He had looked down at his beer again then, and again he felt Jess' hand on him, and so he looked up at her, locking his eyes with her own beautiful ones. Her words just made him melt, and he couldn't believe that the girl he'd officially met properly from his work a short time ago, was saying such a sweet thing to him. He put his own hand on top of hers then, gently, and with a warm smile, nothing cheeky or cocky like before, he said, "Thanks Jess, you have no idea what this means to me."
Finally, someone had listened to him, and taken him for the person he is, and not the beast within, literally. Now that conversation about his being a werewolf seemed to be at an end, as there really wasn't anything else to tell about it, Jessika went on to tell him her own ability, and he couldn't help but think that was the kind of ability which could come in really handy when you needed it.
With a cheeky grin, he couldn't help but say, "I bet that can come in handy at times." She had then went on to say she hadn't used her ability on him, and that he had been seeing the real Jessika Seldon. "To be honest, I didn't think you had used your ability on me, I'm pretty sure, I'd have felt it being used. Besides, you didn't need the ability to pull me in." He grinned at her cheekily, and winked.

Jess listened to what Connor said, after she had said that it had been a bit of a shock about his suggesting a drive. "It's okay Connor. And I will take you up on that offer any time. At least I know where to find you." That was true. If he wasn't in the office at work, then she was sure to look up his address on the computer, and then track him down.
Connor seemed to slip out a bit more information about himself. So he lived with his sister, which kind of made sense, what with them being the same in a way. "I suppose it is safe then to be together. Just in case one of you get out of hand when you change. So do you change into the wolves at the full moon? Or is that a myth?" Jess really had no idea about the whole wolf thing. But she was sure that Connor might tell her more later on, as they got to know each other more.
When Connor explained about how they actually turned into wolves, not the type she was probably thinking of, Jess felt a little better, but still wanted to know more down the track. If they did end up having some sort of relationship, Jess wanted to be prepared for anything. As Connor told her about how his sister and himself became werewolves, and now people treated them, she had put her hand on his. Connor looked up at her, and they locked eyes. After a few seconds, he put his other hand over her own. Jess smiled when Connor thanked her, and added that she had no idea what that meant to him.
After Jess had told Connor about her ability, he smiled cheekily at her, saying that he bet that comes in handy at time. She looked sideway, and grinned a bit. "Well, sometimes, but I hate using it. Only when necessary." She them turned and smiled, hearing Connor say that he would have felt it, if she had used her ability. Then Jess blushed a bit, when Connor said that she didn't need the ability, as she had pulled him in. After she felt her face start to calm down a bit, Jess turned to Connor. Well. It seems that my charm has worked over my ability. Even if my rambling didn't put you off any."
That was sometimes her downfall with guys. If the rambling put them off, on went her ability. So in this case, it seemed that Connor handled the whole rambling thing coming from her. Jess took the last few sips of her wine. Seeing that she had indeed finshed it off, she wondered if she should order another, or just see what Connor wanted to do now.

Connor grinned cheekily when Jessika said again that it was alright, and she'd take him up on the offer anytime, at least she knew where to find him. Of course she did, they worked together. "True, and now I've just realised there is no real escaping from you if I wanted to." He was of course kidding with her, and to make sure she knew that, he winked and grinned at her. However, he decided to add in just for the sake of it, "But I wouldn't want to escape you anyway."
Connor nodded his head, giving Jessika a smile, "Yeah, it's definitely safer for us to be together." Then she asked if they changed at the full moon or was that just a myth. Oh how he wished it was just a myth, he wished he and his sister could just change when they wanted to. "Unfortunately, it's not a myth, we do change at the full moon for three nights, silver is also harmful to us, in wolf form." He wondered how much information he should give her about his wolf form. If they were to get into a relationship, she should know everything about it really. "We have a cage in the cellar of our home, we lock ourselves in there for the three nights. Otherwise, if we want to roam, we go out into the forest behind our home, but we never attack humans, and if we're angry about the change, which most of the times we are, we attack bigger animals, just to get our frustrations out."
He wasn't sure if this was maybe too much information for Jessika to take in now, but he had already told her about being a werewolf, she might as well know the rest of it. At least it was only three nights a month, and he'd make sure to give Jess plenty warning and stay away.
Connor smiled as Jessika agreed her ability could come in handy, but she hated using it, only when necessary. "Well, that's good then." Connor had then said that she hadn't had to use her ability to pull him in and he noticed her blush, which made Connor grin cheekily. He would have commented on it, but he figured he wouldn't tease her that much. "No Jess, your rambling didn't put me off, and it wouldn't, I find it rather endearing to be honest with you." He winked at her again and noticed her drink was finished, so he downed the rest of his beer, and then wondered if Jess would like another, or maybe to head home or something.
"Would you like another drink Jess? Or, if you're getting tired, I could walk you home, I don't mind either way, so it's what ever you want." He smiled at her, he was definitely enjoying her company, and the fact that she didn't seem to bother about his being a werewolf was definitely an added bonus.

Jessika wondered what Connor meant when he said that he had realised that there was no real escaping from her if he wanted to. He had been grinning, so it might have just been a joke or something, but she was glad that he had continued on after it. Jess smiled at Connor. "Well that is good then. I probably won't want you to leave my side." So it looked like they both probably had a thought about them being together. Jess knew it was a nice thought.
Jess listend as Connor explained about how it was no myth, that they do change at the full moon, and that it was for three nights. She raised her eyesbrows at the fact that silver was also harmful to them, when they were in wolf form. "Really? Never knew that. I will have to remember that one, if I ever cross one that isn't you." Connor continued on to say that they had a cage in the cellar at their home, to lock themselves in. When Connor mentioned what where they roamed, she had a fair idea where they lives. "So you guys live on the outskirts of town pretty much. Which I suppose is safer for you guys."
Jess had another query, but decided that it was too personal for now. She would have to ask him later, if and when they got into a relationship. Jess was glad that Connor was telling her all this, opening up to someone whom he had only met today. Normally Jess had to pry information out of guys, or use her ability, but this wasn't the case with Connor.
After Connor had said that he would have felt it if she had used her ability on him, she had blushed. Connor grinned at this, which made Jess know that he had seen her blush. He then mentioned that her rambling didn't put him off, and how he found it rather endearing. Well that just made Jess blush even more. She had found that if she continued to talk to a guy she was dating, they would never been seen or heard from again. So it looked like she had a possible friendship or relationship forming with Connor Robertson.
As Jess contemplated on what to do next, she saw Connor drink the rest of his beer. He then asked her if she wanted another drink, or if she was tired, he could walk her home. She caught his smile, and returned it with one of her own. Jess looked at the time, and saw that she had in fact been out of the house since lunchtime, and it was now getting onto six o'clock. "If it is okay, I think I might head home. Mum is probably going to call me anytime now to see if I will be home for dinner. Who knows what she has cooked up this time." That was never a bad thing as she enjoyed her mum's cooking. Jess then wondered. "Would you like to stay for dinner? Or are you busy?" There was always enough leftovers at their house, and one more plate wouldn't make any difference.

Connor wasn't sure why he had said that about the not being able to escape her even if he wanted to, he was of course referring to the fact they work together, but in honesty, Connor didn't want to escape her. He liked her, and he was finding himself deeply attracted to her, despite the age gap, which wasn't bothering him in the slightest. Whether it would bother Jess was another matter entirely of course. Time would tell, he thought. Then Jess replied saying that she wouldn't want him to leave her side either. Those words made Connor's heart skip a beat slightly. Had she really just said that? Then the words ran through his mind again, yes she did really just say that. "Well, just as well I don't want to, then." He gave her a cheeky grin then. He was enjoying the idea of possibly being with Jess, she was stunning, and her endearing rambling, brightened his day.
"Yes, really, silver poisons us, depending on how much silver is used, it can kill. A silver bullet to the heart for instance, no more Connor." He wasn't meaning it to sound quite so dramatic, but that's basically what happened. But he nodded his head, when she said that she would have to keep it in mind if she ever crossed a werewolf which wasn't him. "Make sure you do, some of them are vicious bastards, excuse my language, and don't give a human a second thought. Chantelle and I are different, we'd never hurt another human, well, unless they were causing pain for our friends, then, we might be tempted to mess around a bit. But nothing to the extremes of killing or biting to turn them."
"Yeah, we live on the outskirts, and it is much safer for us, especially if we want to have a roam at night, but more often or not, we keep ourselves locked up." He still hated being what he was, despite the fact, he wasn't like many wolves out there, he still classed himself as a beast, after all, that's what he was within. A beast, an animal.
When Connor had told Jess he found her rambling rather endearing, he caught her blush again, but this time, he didn't even grin or chuckle. He wasn't the type to deliberately embarrass someone like that. He just gave her a warm smile. He could see a lovely friendship developing with Jess, and he could only wish inside, that it may turn to more. Especially now that he knew that his being a wolf hadn't chased her away.
When Connor had asked Jess if she wanted another drink or did she want him to walk her home, he caught her smile, and so he smiled back at her again. When she replied, she said she should really head home, as her mom would probably be calling her anytime. Connor nodded his head in acknowledgment. "Very well Miss Seldon, may I have the pleasure of walking you home then?" He decided to keep with being the gentleman he knew he truly could be, until he was sure Jess would be comfortable with anything he wanted to do.
No sooner had he asked that question however, she asked him if he wanted to stay for dinner, or was he busy. Other than getting his article written up for the event they had been to earlier, he didn't have anything on his agenda. He could write that article up when he got home. He smiled at her then, "You know Miss Seldon, I think that sounds like a nice idea, if you're sure your mom wouldn't mind." He winked at her then and gave her another cheeky grin, as he stood up, and without thinking, held his hand out for Jess to take, not even realising he was doing it.
