July 4th 2009 Jail Reefer got out of his car putting on his sun glasses, making sure the cops wouldn’t recognize him as a wanted man. He knew he was jeopardizing his life for a man he only met. When he heard about a guy selling drugs being caught he had to go out and get a newspaper reading the article Brendan Harris wrote he knew Jake was in trouble. It was kind of funny since the only news he usually got was from the internet but he so had to buy a paper when he saw Jake’s mug shot. He walked into the jail pulling out a fake id saying to the guard that he was Jake’s new lawyer. He walked into the room smiling when he finally saw his new found friend. “Hey buddy how’s prison treating you?” He chuckled as he sat down pulling off his sunglasses looking at Jake. “My guys are trying to get you out as we speak.” He could tell that maybe the man in front at him wasn’t buying all his speak. Pulling out a piece of gum sticking it in his mouth as he opened a folder he had been carrying. “If you can pull off saying these statements my guys can get you out of here faster then pulling a few strings from the local PD.’ His hand started shaking a bit, the drug he had been taking was coming off and that made for one crazy Reefer.

Jake had been held in a small prison, until his trial date - 20th June. But for him, he was found guilty, and he was moved to a bigger prison, where he had been now for two weeks. In that time, Jake had tried to keep to himself, and keep his nose clean. He had had some close calls, run ins with a couple of inmates who had been there for a while, and was making it clear who they were, and what their position was amongst the crowd.
Today, Jake had some time to just roam about in the open inclosed area, near where the inmates got their chance to chat to visitors and loved ones. Of cause that area was heavily guarded, so there was no way anyone could escape. Pretty much the whole jail was guarded well. Jake had a pack of card with him, ready to maybe organise a game. He hadn't really made any friends, only in passing, but knew enough people if he ever got in real trouble.
"Hanniger, you have a vistor," A rather tall prison guard said, as they tapped him on the shoulder. Jake looked up at him, and gave him no expresson. "Who is it?" The guard just looked away. "Your new lawyer apparently. Let's go." The guard took Jake by the arm, and led him over to the visitation area. Jake was soon directed into one of the cubicles and waited until the guard locked up the door. He sat down and then waited for his so-called lawyer to come.
Jake was soon face to face with Reefer Sullivan. Reefer soon spoke as soon as he saw Jake. Jake just glared at him, "I don't know why you are laughing." Jake then lowered his voice a little. Pointing a finger at Reefer, Jake began to get angry, "You are the reason I am in here and in this mess. I wish I had never met you at all." Then Reefer said that his guys were working on getting him out as they spoke. What was he saying? How could he pull that off, what with all the security around here.
Then Reefer put a piece of chewing gum in his mouth, and opened up a folder he had with him. Jake looked at what the folder contained. "So, you want me to basically lie and then I will get out? That is fucked up Reefer." Jake knew that he shouldn't be in jail, well maybe he should, but this guy should be in here, as well, with him.

Reefer’s eyes darted to Jake, he rolled his eyes letting out a breath as if he just inhaled a joint. “Well its not my fault you gave a drug to a woman who had a boyfriend.” Okay so he didn’t know the whole story since he never fully read the newspaper, he only wanted the mug shot after all. When Jake said he wished he had never met him, that’s when all hell broke loose in Reefer’s mind. Standing up he slammed his hands onto the table. “Don’t you dare say that! I looked at you like a son and you say that to me.” He saw his arms shaking so he sat back down to steady himself. “I got what you asked for and you were suppose to get rid of the drug. So not my fault you cant control your behavior.” He was acting if he was a five year old saying you snooze you loose, damn he had so many problems.
He spat out the gum he had just put in, as it went onto the floor he gave the ground a look. “Pa-feuy. I’m giving you the statement you need to say to leave. That’s not lying well its like I’m lying for you.” He chuckled when the younger man swore. “Jake…Jake…Jakey.” He leaned in on to the table shaking his head. “You don’t know what fucked up is.” The heroin he had been on was coming down and he hated that he didn’t bring a vial of it into the prison.
He knew very well that Jake wasn’t going to believe him about getting him out but the fact of the matter was he was getting the sick bastard out. “Fine I guess I could pose as a security guard and get you out that way since you don’t like my first and way better plan.” So his plan wasn’t the best but he had gotten a lot of his men out before so it shouldn’t have been a big problem the man was making it. He wasn’t into all this bullshit he was getting from Jake so he clearly looked into the man’s eyes. “Do you want my help or not?”

Jake just rolled his eyes at the point that Reefer had made, about Jake drugging a woman with a boyfriend. So what. It didn't really make much difference who the person was. He got caught, and that was that. "Whatever. I just know that what I have been found out doing has landed me in here of all places. One place I never hoped to have stayed in at all."
Jake knew the minute he said that he had never met Reefer, would definately lead to some sort of argument. He watched as Reefer stood up, and slammed his hands on the table. Shit, this guy sure had a temper. As Reefer, then sat back down, after telling Jake that he had looked at him like a son, Jake noticed him shaking a bit. "Are you losing your edge there Reefer? Need a pick me up do we? And I am not your son. I already have a father." Then Reefer went on about getting what Jake had been after, from his old business, and that it was not his fault that Jake couldn't control his behaviour. Jake just gave Reefer the silent treatment then.
Jake then listened to what Reefer said, about giving him the statement, in order for Jake to get out of jail. Jake knew that Reefer was lying for him, but Jake still had to say something that wasn't true. He didn't know if he should say something to Reefer. If he did speak, it might just piss Reefer off more, and he might just walk out the door and never come back. Then he would be in some deep shit.
Reefer laughed when Jake spoke about what he had to do was fucked up. Just hearing Reefer say him name a couple of times, wanted nothing more for Reefer to stop saying his name. When he said that Jake had no idea what fucked up was, Jake just shook his head, and looked away from Reefer. Jake knew that maybe he should do what Reefer has said, in order for him to get out of this hell hole.
Just as Jake was about to tell Reefer that he would do what he said, just to get out of jail, Reefer told him another plan. That one was just as crazy as the first. But maybe the first might be a better plan than the second plan. Jake was sure that Reefer would get noticed by a guard who may have been around at a time when he got a friend out of jail, when dressed as a guard himself. Jake let out a breath, and then looked at Reefer. "Fine. I will go with the first plan of yours. What do I need to do and say?" Jake just wanted this guy off of his back, and never see his face ever again. At least he came back to help him.

(OOC: I’m thinking Jake should do a post then Sophia should jump in.)
He smirked at the man. “Well the food is good here at least.” He oddly didn’t play it off as if he was saying he had been in jail before but that was what it sounded like. “I mean you got a room and food for free well you aren’t technically free but you get my point.” Reefer could only glare at Jake when the bastard salted his game. It was one thing for Jake to point out that he wasn’t his father but it was another thing all together for him to speak about his drug habit. “My edge is just fine.” He snot out knowing that he was definitely coming off of it.
Now Jake was giving him the silent treatment. Great that was all he needed. It was one thing to insult him but now not talking made him think of ways to kill Jake without even moving from his chair. Reefer smiled when Jake finally spoke pushing aside those thoughts of killing him. ”You might even have to say anything with the money I got coming here. Hold on a second.” He got out his cell phone and push a speed dial waiting for the women to answer. He knew who he was going to get to help him out, Sophia. “Hey its me. I’m texting you a location. Meet me there as soon as possible.” He shut his phone not caring if the women was done speaking. He looked at Jake smirking. “Should be out in no time now buddy.” His evil glare looked almost sicking as he thought of all the ways this family reunion would go wrong.

Jake couldn't believe this guy. How could he be joking at a time like this. Reefer wasn't the one in jail, Jake was, and he didn't find any of it funny. So what if he got food and shelter for free, he still didn't want it. Then when Jake asked Reefer if he was losing his edge, Reefer said that his edge was just fine. Jake just rolled his eyes. "Whatever." He just wanted this meeting to end now.
After Jake had told him that he would go with his first plan, Reefer got out his phone, and hit a number. Probably a direct number to another drug dealer, thought Jake. He drummed his fingers on the table, kind of listening to what Reefer was saying. Jake wondered who it was that was meeting them now. Makybe Reefer had his own personal drug dealer who delivered. But he doubted that they would get very far, if they were carrying.
Reefer then said that he would be out in no time. Jake had to break away from Reefer's evil glare he was giving him righ then. He then decided to ask him who it was on the other end. "So, who was that you were speaking to? Are they working with you, or for you?" Jake tried to not sound too interested in who it was, but if they were in fact coming to help in get out, then he should be grateful at least.

Sophia had just finished mucking out one of the stables, when she heard her phone vibrate and then ring in her pocket. She reached into her pocket and pulled it out and then answered. She was met with that oh so familiar voice she never really liked to hear much. "Reef, what kind of trouble...." But that was all she managed to get out before the line went dead. Damn him she thought. He was always getting himself into trouble, sometimes, she hated being related to that man.
She waited for the text and when it came through, she could only roll her eyes. Had he only managed to get himself into jail. So, he was phoning her to bail him out probably. Why was she always the sucker to end up going to his help. She shook her head. She put the phone back into her pocket. Gave the horse whose stable she had just mucked out a kiss on the nose, and then headed toward her car. Stopping to ask one of the stable hands, to finish off the rest of the stables as she had to go somewhere.
It didn't take her too long to reach where she had to go, she was dreading what she was going to find when she walked in there. She went up to the reception desk. "I'm looking for someone you're holding here, Reefer Sullivan?" She questioned, but she was met with a raised eyebrow and then the reply came. "Oh, we ain't holding him, he's visiting someone." So, it wasn't Reefer who needed the help, it was one of his so called friends he wanted her to help bail out.
"Fine, can you take me to him please, he's asked for me." She was then led through to what she could only assume was the visitors station, she had never been in one of these places before. Then she saw him. She walked right up to him, with a thunderous look on her face and slapping the back of his head. "So, what have you got yourself into this time? It's bad enough you ask me to bail you out all the time, you're wanting me to bail a friend out as well now?"
Sophia wasn't one for breaking the law, she was one of the heroes, one of the good guys, but deep down, blood was always thicker than water, and when she was needed, she was there. Now she just stood waiting for Reef to answer her.

Reefer could only smirk at Jake before he went on to tell him who he had called. “Well Jake.” He leaned back on his chair putting his feet on the table. “The women I called is an old friend.” So he wasn’t going into detail on how he knew Sophia but he didn’t want Jake to start yelling at her once she came into the door.
It had only been a short time till Reefer’s eyes darted to the door spotting Sophia who looked pissed off. “Sophie!” He smiled at his cousin as she then slapped the back of his head making him almost fall off the chair. “Gee.” Then she went on telling him off or question his motives. He gets up resting his hand on Sophia’s back guiding her to the chair. “Sophie meet Jake. Jake meet my baby cousin Sophie.” Then with the look between the two he got an idea. “You know Jake, Sophie’s a great catch maybe you can date her so we can really become family.” He started chuckling at his own warped mind. It was one thing for him to think that Sophia would help him out then him adding that comment made him think that maybe he should lay off the drugs.
Now leaning onto the table he looked at Sophia giving her a smile. “Jake here was put in jail for selling something of mine which he didn’t know was a bad thing to do.” He turned to Jake winking at him before he continued. “I need some money to pay off the judge while Jake here re-states his statement.” He knew that both of them were probably lost in his plan but they didn’t need to know that he was going to turn himself in to get Jake off. Well he wasn’t sure he would be going to jail since he did have a connection with a company called Pinehearst well what was left of it. He was sure he would be out in no time and if not he could just get his workers to sell the product.

Jake wondered how old a friend this person was. They were probably only friends with him for a few weeks, and had no idea how deep they were going to get with Reefer. Jake wished he had known that this would happen to him, and if he had known, he would have just left Reefer there on the side of the road, with the drugs there for him to get rid of instead.
Soon enough a woman headed in their direction. She was a blonde, who looked quite pissed. So maybe she was an ex, who was somehow always there for him. Jake saw Reefer smile, and call the woman by her name. He had to laugh out loud as Sophie slapped the back of his head. Now he was seeing a good scene unfold in front of him. That slap had almost caused Reefer to fall off his chair. I like this woman, Jake thought, giving Reefer his own medicine.
Then Reefer said 'gee', and Sophie asked him what he had gotten himself into this time, and then went on to say that it was bad enough that he asked her to bail him out all the time, and that he was wanting her to bail out Jake. Reefer didn't respond to what she said, he just guided her to the chair, introducing her to Jake. "Hey," was all Jake got out, looking at Sophie. "If I could shake your hand I would, but kind of can't.
The next thing Reefer said, Jake hadn't expected. "What?" Then Jake witnessed Reefer chuckling at what he had just said. Jake wondered if Reefer was on some weird stuff now. He was glad that he never touched the stuff, only to deal it for him, and now that was a big mistake. Jake didn't want to sound rude, so he looked at Sophie. "Sorry. I didn't mean for that to sound rude, I have only just met you. No disrespect." Maybe time in jail had softened him up a bit with being in here with some hard criminals, who were after one thing from a fresh piece of meat like him.
Jake then watched as Reefer leaned on the table, and told Sophie about what Jake was in for. He hated hearing it, even if it was all true. When Reefer winked at him, Jake cringed. Then Reefer went on to say that he needed money to pay off the judge, while Jake would re-state his statement. Jake wondered what the catch was, in regards to him getting out of jail relatively free.
"So Reefer. What happens when I get out of jail. There has to be a catch somewhere, surely."

Sophia was really annoyed at the way Reefer seemed to be speaking to her, as if he wasn't even in a jail right now. He should seriously know better and it was pissing her off big time. When she had slapped him on the back of the head, he uttered the word 'gee', and she noticed he almost fell off the chair. Sophia had to hide a smirk at that. He then rested a hand on her back as he guided her to sit in a chair. Then Reefer introduced her to Jake, she just gave him a very unconvincing smile. "Hi." She then turned back to Reefer, "So, how long has this one been a friend for? Days? Weeks? I know it hasn't been years." She sighed heavily then, just as Jake spoke to her.
He said he'd shake her hand, but he couldn't. "Cute, very cute." She wasn't in the mood for any of this. Then Reefer said something she certainly hadn't expected him to say. "You what? Are you an idiot? Wait, don't answer that, of course you are." She sighed again, rolling her eyes, and glaring at him, "For your information, I've already got someone in my life, I don't need you hooking me up, thank you very much." Right now, she just wanted to get up and shake the life out of Reefer, he was really annoying her.
When Jake spoke to her again, she was rather surprised, pleasantly surprised, maybe this so called friend of Reef's wasn't such a bad boy after all. She looked over at Jake and gave him a weak smile, "It's fine, no disrespect taken, I've been faced with worse, believe me." She then turned to Reef again waiting for his reasons for bringing her down to this jail. Once she found out what this person was in the jail for, would then determine whether she'd help or not. If he'd done anything really bad, then he could go to hell.
She listened to what Reefer was telling her, and she just began to shake her head. She couldn't quite believe what she was hearing. Going as far as to say that Jake didn't know what he was doing. Yeah, like hell he didn't, she saw that wink that Reefer gave him. "You know what Reef, you can go to hell, bail him out yourself. I saw that wink, if you want me to help, then you better start telling me the truth, the complete truth." Sophia really wasn't one for doing something to benefit others, unless it was for the greater good. What was good about letting a convict back loose on the streets again?

“Um well..“ He couldn’t really tell Sophie how long they had been friends because he wasn’t even sure that Jake was or wanted to be his friend. “He’s my son.“ He gave a quick look at Jake trying for him to go along with it. “He’s family. He needs our help.“ Reefer then looked at Jake giving him a smile. “What just thought you might need a women.” He knew that contradicted his previous statement but he didn’t really care as along as it got him the money.
Then Sophia went on telling him he was an idiot. “Yeah I’m aware of that. Wait you have a man?” He put his arms to his chest as he shook his head. “And why haven’t I met this guy? He could be a killer.” He was mad that he didn’t know anything about his cousin’s life but then again he had been too hopped up on drugs to care.
Rolling his eyes Reefer started to tell Sophia about what had happened. “Well I got his drug that gives people powers and Jake helped me sell my batch.” So he wasn’t going to tell her the fact about people doing the drug either end up dying or get very sick. Looking at Jake he gave a serious look. “I’m turning myself in to get you out. He knew that statement would end in a blood bath but he knew that it was the right thing to do. Jake was a lot like him as a young man and if there was one thing that he could do for the man he was willing to take the risk and go to jail.
