Cameron Osborne was in New York meeting with the cast of the new show that he and his cousin created. Okay he had already met the cast and all but the cast and himself were going to go in front of a press tour. It was known as Television Critics Association. He had to do every year it seemed with the other show he was a star on. It was a difficult life but he enjoyed it. Yes, he enjoyed it a lot. He had three hours to kill and was going to visit his sister. He wondered how she was doing since the last time they talked. The last time they talked it was about her having maternal feelings and he wondered if she still had that. He knew he shouldn’t drop unannounced but what the heck. It was a surprise. He figured that it would be nice to see his sister in person rather than talk to her. He was in Brooklyn and decided that he would swing by his sister’s apartment. She had to be there. He was near her apartment building anyway, so he decided that it would be an okay time. He entered the apartment building and headed up to his sister’s floor, hoping that she was home. As he found her apartment: he gently knocked on the door unsure who was going to answer the door.

Ira was over at Rosie's apartment, like he usually was. For the past few months, after work, either he would go over to Rosie's apartment and hang out, usually stick around for dinner, or she would come over to his apartment. Although they both still lived at their own places, they each had a key to each other's apartments - they had been together for long enough that the formalities of door-knocking were long past.
Ira had gotten to Rosie's about half an hour earlier, but Rosie wasn't actually there at the moment. She had left not long ago to run to the store to pick up a couple things for making dinner - Ira was planning on making fettuccine alfredo, one of his favorite things to cook.
Since he had met Rosie, Ira had found himself cooking more interesting things - he had learned to cook when he was in college, but since he lived by himself, he usually never bothered to make very interesting meals. Now since he and Rosie usually had dinner together every night, he was having fun making more differing food.
Ira was currently sitting at Rosie's piano, his shoes on the floor next to the piano bench. For some reason, he liked playing the piano more when he had only socks on his feet. He was playing one of his favorite songs, and almost didn't hear the soft knock on the door. Ira got up from the bench and looked through the view hole to see who was at the door. It was Cameron, Rosie's brother.
Ira opened the door. "Hey, Cameron," he greeted him, standing back to let Cameron in. "What's up?"

{{Hey sorry for taking long to post. I was on vacation and the internet connection was very bad at sea. Damn Satelite Internet lmao}}
It had been a while since he last visit his sister and know here he was in New York. He had made time to see if he could take her out to dinner or make something for her. However he wasn’t sure if coming over unannounced would have been a good thing. He should have called or left a message. He was just uneasy about his dropping in. He always had a problem with that coming over and ruining people’s plans. Though he never meant to do it.
He honestly didn’t mean to do that coming over unannounced it was just a lame habit of his that he had sometimes. Sometimes he would call ahead and other times he would just randomly come over and he just wanted to see his sister. He wanted to see how she was doing. He hoped that her relationship with Ira was going smoothly. He actually liked the guy. He also wanted to have more bonding time with his sister.
Although it would be hard to do bonding time with his sister. The two of them lived on different coasts and different countries. Cameron was based in Canada on the west coast of Canada while his sister was based in the States in Brooklyn. Sure it was an awkward way to bond but Cameron wanted to make it work. He was the only one left. Yes, he was the only sibling left to have that special bond with his sister. And he wanted to do that more than ever.
Cameron wasn’t sure if Rosie would even be home. He just had this gut feeling that she was. He then waited patiently for the door to open. Once it was open it was revealed that the person who opened the door was not Rosie but it was Ira. He just raised an eyebrow not really expecting Ira to be there. He just gave a warm smile. “Hello Ira” he said with a slight pause as he made his way into the apartment. “Oh nothing much, just wanted to see if Rosie was in or not I’m in town for a couple of days for some television thing and I was just dropping in to say, Hey” he admitted.

It had been quite a while since Ira had seen Cameron - he had met him only the one time when they had both come over to have dinner at Rosie's place some time ago. Ira liked the guy, and he got the feeling that Cameron liked him too - which was good, he figured. It was a good thing to have your fiancée's brother like you.
As Ira closed the door behind Cameron and sprawled himself across a chair in the living room, he had a sudden realization. Cameron didn't know that he and Rosie were engaged now. Ira barely suppressed a grin at the look he imagined on Cameron's face when he found out.
"Oh, well, Rosie's not actually here right now, she went out to pick up some stuff for cooking dinner with," Ira told Cameron upon hearing why he was there. "I don't see why you couldn't stay for dinner, though." Ira glanced at his watch. "She should be back pretty soon," he added.

Cameron didn’t mind that Ira was at his sister’s apartment. He actually liked the guy and hoped that the two of them (his sister and Ira) were having a good relationship. In Cameron’s eyes Ira didn’t seem like the kind to hurt his sister. He didn’t know why he was thinking that but it was part of being the big brother. He just assumed.
Cameron sat down in a chair in his sister’s living room and nodded at Ira as he spoke about that his sister wasn’t here but that she would be back soon. She just had to run to the store to pick up some cooking stuff. He looked at his watch. He would love to stay for dinner but he had other plans with the cast. But when he then realized that they were meeting much later.
So that would mean that Cameron could possibly stay for dinner. If it was okay with Rosie when she had got her. He smiled. “I guess I could stay for dinner I have to met my friends later this evening, but that is if it is alright with Rosie” he added.

And then Ira didn't know what to say next. He was comfortable around Cameron, the guy seemed to like him and they shared quite a few common interests, but keeping conversations going was just one of those things that had always been really difficult for Ira. He didn't want to just randomly blurt out that he and Rosie were engaged now; it would be better to wait until Rosie was actually there.
There was a long, somewhat awkward pause, as neither of them said anything. But then Cameron responded to Ira's offer, saying that he could probably stay for dinner. "Well, we sure won't keep you for too long if you have somewhere you need to get to."
But then there was another awkward pause and then Ira said the first thing that popped into his head. "So...how have things been going with you lately?"

Cameron had only met Ira once before and he really liked the guy. However sometimes he wasn’t sure about the guy as sometimes it seemed to him that Ira didn’t like to talk. Well, make general conversation. So he did not want to look stupid around Ira. So he just decided to play it cool.
He hoped his long and awkward pause didn’t make Ira a bit mad at him. He was just thinking if he wanted to stay for dinner it was a generous offer and he didn’t want to decline. So he just decided that he would accept the offer and stay for dinner. It was the least he could do since he wanted to see how his sister was doing and he figured Ira was a packaged deal.
“I know you won’t but I’m meeting them at a later time so it won’t be a problem” he said with a slight smile. “Don’t worry, I won’t stay the entire time,” he responded with a slight pause as Ira asked him how things were going with him. He smiled. “Oh things have just been busy with uh…traveling back and forth from Houston” he then realized that he hadn’t told Ira. “Oh yeah, I joined the Space Program three months ago…” he said trailing off not sure if Ira wanted to hear that or not.
