{ooc - I seriously feel terrible about the delays in my replies just now - I need to stop getting myself into these ruts.}
David couldn’t believe when Stacey began walking toward him when it had looked as if she was about to walk out of his office and probably out of his life for good. He honestly thought he had blown it with her, and now here she was standing in front of him and she kissed him. She kissed him. It was the best feeling in the world. So he hadn’t blown it then, well, that kiss from her was certainly telling him that at least. It took him a few seconds to register what was really happening, but soon enough he wrapped his arms around her and got lost in the kiss she had initiated between them. As they continued to kiss, David soon felt her tongue explore his mouth a little, and as she did this, he allowed his to do the same with her mouth, just enjoying the moment between them. However, not that he wanted to, but he soon broke apart from the kiss, glad of the air, seeing how he was shaking and his head was reeling with the revelation that Stacey obviously liked him enough to kiss him.
He had to clarify she was no longer his patient, as he spoke he just couldn’t keep his eyes off of her beautiful face which was rather flushed looking from what they had just done. As he waited on her to answer him, he had put his finger to his lips smiling, so when she said the kiss was pretty good, David couldn’t help but smile, his eyes sparkling, “Only pretty good? I thought it was damned amazing myself.” This time he winked at her before chuckling, in the end he couldn’t be bothered to wait for her to reply, as he spoke again saying he had broken enough of the rules anyway and she wasn’t his patient anymore, right. He did give a few seconds for her to reply, so when she agreed that she was no longer his patient, he grinned, “Good.” She then said his rules breaking secret would be safe with her, other than Lynda, and she valued her job too much to say anything about it. He smiled at Stacey, “Thank you.” He then moved in and began to kiss her again.
David felt Stacey wrap her arms around his neck, and as she did, he soon felt her fingers begin to play with his hair at the back. The feeling made his skin tingle, something he hadn’t felt for quite some time. David was still finding it hard to believe that she was here with him now, kissing him, about to enter into a new relationship. It was like all his Christmases had come at once, not only had he got the girl; he was getting a child as well. Alright, so technically the baby wasn’t his, but he would be there when he or she was born and he would be the one helping Stacey to raise the child, so in his eyes, the baby would be his, it was such a good feeling, and besides, there wasn’t anything to stop them from having one of their own at some point. Soon enough he felt Stacey break apart from him this time, not that it was a bad thing, it was always good to catch your breath before you went in for another round.
He listened to her sigh slightly, which he was putting down to a good sign, and as she smiled, he smiled back at her, his eyes sparkling. One thing about David, even if his mouth wasn’t physically smiling, his eyes always gave him away with the sparkle. Stacey then asked him where they were to go from that point. David who hadn’t removed his arms from around her, leaned in and kissed her on the neck gently then replied, kissing her neck between every other word, “Well, we start by going for that shopping trip we spoke of earlier and let me spoil you and our baby, no objections.” David wasn’t exactly rolling in millions, but he was in a profession that paid well, so he was more than comfortable. He then stopped kissing her neck and looked at her, getting a little more serious, “That is if you allow me to look at your child as my own now. I mean, the hospital thinks I’m the father anyway.” He couldn’t help but allow a little smirk come over his face then, as he gently placed his hand on her slightly swollen stomach. “What do you say?”
