Matt flashed Danyel a winning smile when she said she might take him up on his offer, when he mentioned about her allowing him to buy her another. He would be quite happy to buy her drinks all night, she seemed like fun, and it had been quite some time since Matt had proper fun. "Make sure you do." He kept that winning smile on his face, yes he was definitely chatting her up.
When he had asked her to elaborate on what type of fun she had been referring tom he had sort of already knew, but just wanted to hear it from her. She had asked him what type of music he liked, before she would answer him. However, he had already said he liked most types. "Depends on my mood at the time, to what I will listen to, but it can be from your present pop, to classical to jazz, like I say, most things. Don't like rap or hip hop much though." He grinned at her, as she then began to answer his question.
He watched as she leaned in closer to him, then began to tell him in a voice only he would hear that she liked hitting the town and doing some dancing, but most of her fun was one in the privacy of a bedroom. Just as he had thought. He couldn't help but look at her with a cheeky grin, and raised eyebrows, "Thought as much, but didn't want to take it for granted." He paused for a second before adding, "Might have to put you to that test." Matt then felt like he could mentally slap himself. What the hell made him come away with that?
When Danyel said they would have to see about eating those foods together sometime, Matt couldn't help but grin at her again, although, in truth, the grin hadn't really left his face since they had started talking properly. "It's been quite some time since I had some female company, especially company as fun as you seem to be, so I think I'd like that very much." Whether that would happen to be at her apartment, his apartment or even somewhere out like a restaurant, he didn't care. He just realised he was really enjoying Danyel's company and it would be good to see more of her, if that's what she wanted of course.
When Danyel had said she enjoyed writing, Matt had asked her what kind of writing, showing a genuine interest, and he continued to smile, nodding his head, as she spoke, telling him she likes to write short stories, but recently enjoyed writing fanfics for her character, even if that did sound sad. She then spoke of her character suiting one on the show, but doubted they would ever get together, and wished she was a writer on the show. Matt had to chuckle then, as she herself giggled slightly.
"Well, I think it's great you write short stories, and I certainly don't think it's sad to write fanfics of your character, good on you. As for being a writer on the show, you could always drop some hints, you never know." That was one thing he hadn't really thought about though. He was talking to an actress, who could at any point, no matter what she appeared in, possibly have to kiss another man. If he was dating her, how would he feel about that? Even though he knew it was her job, would it be weird to know he was dating her, while she was kissing other men? He shook the thought from his head, he was going too far ahead of himself. But he honestly couldn't help the thoughts, he certainly liked her.
When Danyel spoke next, she said the one thing, he hadn't really expected, but at the same time, felt quite happy she had said it. She asked if he wasn't doing anything, did he want to go for something to eat. Was she actually asking him on a date? Or was she just simply hungry and wanted to get something to eat? He certainly couldn't see the harm in it. Smiling at her brightly, and tapping his stomach slightly, as he was quite cutely rounded, "I'd like that actually, so would my stomach I think, and well, I can't deny the company would be damned good." He gave her a slight wink then, not something he did easily, but he was definitely finding himself somewhat attracted to this brunette, there was just something, well something about her he liked.

Danyel nodded as he mentioned about the kind of music he liked to listen to. It seemed that they might have that in common as well. "We might just have to compare musical tastes later." She gave him a grin, then answered his question. Danyel didn't mind telling a guy initially what her type of fun was, as long as they not shocked at her being so forward. Too bad if Matt hadn't of liked it, that was the way she was, and she kind of liked it.
But once she said it, she saw Matt grin, saying that he thought as much, but didn't want to take it for granted. Danyel gave him a big grin then, and listened to more of what he had to say. She took a sip, and then almost chocked at what he said. Danyel wipped her mouth, and instantly reached for his leg, giving it a bit of a sqeeze. "If you keep up your cheekiness, you might get lucky." Danyel gave him a bright smile, a wink, then removed her hand to pick up her drink, taking another sip. Maybe Matt might get lucky, as she sure enjoyed his company so far.
Danyel smiled, and then nodded. "Well good. Should go and eat sometimes soon then." It was good to share a drink with him, even if he was paying, but it would be good to do the whole eating thing. And she liked the prospect of him liking her, and seeing her as fun. Danyel was never down and out, only really that one time when she found out her younger sister was pregnant and all, but that was one time. Now she had a reason to look at her life, and see a light at the end of a dark tunnel.
She smiled and shrugged, at Matt's reply to her writing. "Maybe I should tell them somethings that I want to happen for my character. But they might just think that I have been watching too many soap operas or something." Danyel really never had much time for those type of shows, but in between takes she had been looking at youTube videos of some sexy scenes that her character could work into episodes. But then if those were added, the show might have to bring on a new rating. "I might just have to show them to you one day. If I think they are worthy enough of showing you." Danyel hadn't shown anyone what she had been writing, keeping it all to herself.
When Danyel had asked him if he wanted to go and get something to eat, she smiled at his answer. "Great. Well let's go and fill that stomach of yours then." Danyel downed the rest of her drink, got up out of her chair, and waited for Matt to follow beside her. Now the thought of food was making her hungry, or maybe it was the alcohol talking. Whatever it was, she couldn't wait to go and eat with Matt. She was liking him more and more.

When Danyel said they might have to compare musical tastes later, Matt nodded his head, still smiling at her. “Sounds like a plan.” It would certainly seem like might have a couple of things in common and that was good. Then Danyel answered his question, but he had a feeling her answer would have been what her answer was and he said as much to her. He soon felt her hand on his leg and it was given a bit of a squeeze, and then when she spoke, Matt couldn’t help but laugh a little. He raised his eyebrow again, “Well, you know, I might just do that, I have to see if you are definitely a woman of your word. After all, there’s nothing better than a bit of fun.” He winked at her then. It would seem that after Jenna leaving him, he might just be getting lucky again. He had always thought he was lucky to have got a girl like Jenna in the first place, what with her being so much younger than him, now it looked like he might just have met someone else who was a heap of fun just like himself.
When Danyel said they should eat sometime soon, Matt gave her a bright smile, it certainly sounded like a good idea, and he nodded his head. Matt never usually bothered gambling or playing games, but he was glad he had done it now, otherwise he wouldn’t have met Danyel, and he might have missed out on getting to know someone who was full of fun.
Danyel then spoke more about her writing, and said she might tell them some things, but they might think she had been watching too many soap operas. Matt chuckled a little then. “Nothing beats a good soap opera though, it might be fun to have a bit of that on the show you know.” He really was quite impressed with Danyel, after all, she was a television star and a talented writer by the sound of it, and all he was, was a detective for the FBI, very exciting, not. When Danyel said she might show her some of her writing one day if she felt they were worthy enough, Matt winked, “Oh I’m sure they are more than worthy for me to see.” However, Matt wasn’t the type of guy to push someone, and if they Danyel didn’t feel comfortable about sharing her writing, he wouldn’t pursue it.
Matt had to chuckle at Danyel’s response, when she commented they were to go fill that stomach of his. Matt finished his beer, and once Danyel was on her feet, Matt followed. “Can’t wait, good food and good company, what else can a man ask for?” He began to follow her, and then wondered where they would eat, if they were going to use the restaurant in the casino or if they would go and eat somewhere else. “Did you have anywhere in mind? Like one of the restaurants in here, or do you fancy going somewhere else, like out of here?”

Danyel liked the sound of that - having a bit of fun with Matt. She had tried to befriend a couple of guys, but nothing fun eventuated. So maybe third time lucky might be the charm for Danyel, go coincide with her acting career. She might just have someone to have on her arm at the next awards ceremony, if the show won any awards. She grinned at Matt when he commented about nothing beating a good soap opera. Danyel shrugged her shoulders slightly. "Maybe. Well I would personally, but really the show is sci-fi related, so not sure if a lot of intimate relations would really help the ratings. I am sure the fans like good old fashion action, which is what the show has been giving them. But sadly my character hasn't seen a lot of that. She is always swept to the sidelines." Danyel frowned, feeling herself get defensive. "I damm well can act in the action sequences, I just might need some training that is all." She felt her settle back in the chair, feeling like she was going to stand up when she said that then. "Sorry. I just feel that they think that I am just some fragile actress, who just does the job for her looks. I am so much more than that." Thinking about showing Matt her stuff might be a good idea. "Well no one has ever really read them, so might have to show you. Someone who might not be an actor." She looked at him intensely. "Unless you are an actor, or something?" But looking at Matt, Danyel didn't think he was, but you can't be too sure these days. They let anyone in. "It is fine if you are. But you just don't seem the type." Danyel giggled then smiled widely at Matt. "Not sure, have a few more ideas up my sleeve for what a man might ask for." Danyel looked around, moving in closer to Matt. "I am too much of a lady to say that what it is out loud in a public place." She giggled again, and had started to walk out of the gaming area. She heard Matt ask if she had anywhere in mind. Danyel turned and stopped. "Well. I have this brochure in my bag, let me see. I don't know in all honesty." She pulled out the brochure to see what was good to eat at. Then she saw it. "There is an Asian restaurant on The Strip not too far from us called Tao. Might be the place to go and eat. I feel liked Honeyed Chicken now." Danyel smiled at Matt, instantly grabbing a hold of his hand. "Let's go."

{ooc - raah - I better not get behind like this again when am caught up LOL - sorry}
When Danyel commented that the show was sci-fi related and a lot of fans might not like intimate relations preferring the action, Matt nodded his head, understanding what she was saying, but even your most dramatic movie sometimes had its romance in it, because everything needed a bit of romance every so often. He shook his head then, “Ah well, I think that’s rather sad if they felt that way, because I think everything needs a bit of romance, everything in moderation and all that.” Matt grinned at her then, and then Danyel seemed to get a bit agitated about not getting enough drama on the show. “Well you know what? I should write in as a fan of the show and complain. I’d like to see Danyel Balle’s character get more action scenes please.” He winked at her and in fact he might have to start watching this show more often now he had befriended one of its stars. He was only watching it because Molly was a big fan and he had been missing her.
“And I agree you are definitely much more than that.” So much more he continued in his thoughts, knowing she wouldn’t be able to hear him. He hadn’t even tuned into her thoughts the whole time they had been talking, in fact, he hadn’t even told her about his ability yet and he wondered if he should, since she hadn’t mentioned one herself thus far, he had to assume she wasn’t like him.
Matt couldn’t help but chuckle when she questioned if he was an actor when she spoke some more about showing him her writing. “No, I’m most definitely not an actor, I’m a detective actually, work for the FBI.” He took out his badge and quickly flashed it at her with a grin. He was now a bit worried as to how she would react to that, not everybody liked dating a cop, but he hoped Danyel would like the idea, what with the whole uniform thing, she seemed as if she might just be the type of woman to like the idea of going out with a guy who worked in a uniform, looking at her, smiling at her, he hoped so.
Matt chuckled once more at Danyel when she replied to his ‘what more could a man ask for’ remark. He was about to ask her ‘like what’ but then she continued saying she was too much of a lady to say out loud in a public place. So he put his finger to his lips, and winked at her, “I see, well maybe if we get a chance to be alone, you might enlighten me on these other things?” He leaned in to her close and whispered into her ear so she would only hear, “Or you could just whisper into my ear.” He then chuckled again. It had been a long time since Matt was able to have so much fun and he was really enjoying himself. The company was great, and he certainly hoped this wouldn’t be the last time he would see Danyel Balle.
When Matt then asked if she had anywhere in mind to go, she said she wasn’t sure. She then pulled a brochure out of her bag and soon she spoke of an Asian place on the strip called Tao. Matt had heard of that one, but he had never been, usually because he was too busy with his job in Laughlin. “Sounds good to me Danyel, I can see a few spring rolls coming my way, maybe even some of that honeyed chicken you’re mentioning.” He chuckled, and then she was grabbing his hand telling them to go.
Matt then wondered if he should maybe tell her about himself, as they walked to the place which wasn’t too far from where they were. If they were going to get into a relationship then she had a right to know about him. So as they walked along to the place called Tao, “Danyel, I have to ask, have you ever heard of Evolved Humans at all?” He was hoping she might say yes, because telling her about himself would make it a whole lot easier if she already knew about his kind.

Danyel nodded, when Matt commented about everything needing a bit of romance. "Yes. Some people are just stickler for the same old, same old. But not me. Change is good, I say." Danyel then had to laugh a little, when Matt said that he should write in as a fan of the show and complain. "Well, you just might have to. I won't say no to constructive critism, even if it is to benefit my character." But really, one letter would never do, she might have to persuade him to write more than one.
Danyel didn't know what Matt would have done as a job if he wasn't an actor. So she seemed okay with the prospect of him being a cop, a detective working for the FBI. Danyel eyed off the badge that he showed her, and she took it from him, giving it a good look. "Well it is definately not fake, so I believe you." Danyel handed it back, and then gave him a cheeky grin. "I like a man in uniform. It is kind of a turn on for me." Just saying that made her giggle again. Danyel hadn't gotten a chance to date a cop before, what with being famous and all, and not knowing anyone who didn't know her before her becoming an actress in that profession, so to Danyel, she was kind of lucky to have met "Matt The Cop".
Danyel let out a playful gasp, as Matt spoke, then another small one, as he got close to her ear. She stood back a bit, just smirking back at him, then raised her eyebrows. "Well I just might." As they kept walking, Danyel lent into his ear. "Not to have my mind in a gutter, but I know that guys like the sex." She moved away a little, and smirked, almost bursting out laughing as she walked, almost running into a pole in the casino. Now that would have been embarrassing, one mishap that might have ended up in the papers or magazines.
"Okay," Danyel responded, as he said that the restaurant sounded good, and made a comment on what he might want. She had then grabbed his hand, and continued in the direction of the restaurant. Her thoughts went to what else she might order, when Matt spoke. She turned to him, and looked at him, when he asked her the question. Danyel looked ahead. "Well there are a few in the cast who have abilities, so I guess they are what you called Evolved Humans. I would be pretty cool to have an ability, but sadly I am human." She looked at Matt, with a grin, "I am as human as they come."
