12th September 2009 Craig was wanting a day, or at least a morning to himself. He had only been back in New York for three days, including today, and hadn't done a lot. Due to jet lag, Craig had crashed at his parents place, and slept for fourteen hours. The week of the modelling gig was pretty much, go go go the whole time, and he never had a minutes piece, unless you called sleeping the time when he relaxed the most. So the flight back to New York had been the time when he tried to relax, but he was so excited to see his family so much, that he ended up watching all the movies that they showed on the flight, instead of sleeping. Craig had hoped to get some time in to hang out with Emma and or Marcus, but he had been so exhausted, and really didn't want to do too much of anything. So he had spoken to Emma and Marcus at their parents place, but that was his extend of fun. So after a good nights sleep, Craig felt that he felt a bit more energised, and ready to go. Or maybe it was the huge breakfast that his mum had put together, as he hadn't really eaten a lot, just did a lot of sleeping. So looking at his watch, it was getting onto ten thirty, and that he might enjoy a day, or morning on his own out in the fresh air. He quickly got dressed in a navy blue t-shirt, and a pair of jeans, then cleaned himself up in the bathroom. He messed up his hair a little, thinking that he needed a haircut, but that it would have to do till later. Craig then grabbed his wallet, shoving it into his pocket, along with his phone, then headed out the door. He only had to walk a couple of blocks, when he began to walk passed a cafe. Craig stopped, and looked at the menu of what was to offer inside. Liking what he was reading, Craig took off his sunglasses, and headed inside. He stopped, and looked to see what seats or booths were available, and decided on a booth, near the window. Craig walked in the direction of the booth, and sat down. Grabbing the menu off the table, Craig started to peruse it.

For the most part Abigail loved her job, she got to talk to so many people and had made quite a few friends through it. The only thing she lacked was a decent boyfriend. Any guy she had met at the cafe had either turned out to be gay or a complete bastard. Sometimes, she wondered if she would be better off with just her friends for company. That thought didn't last long though, Abigail was very much a man magnet, she always seemed to pull the wrong ones.
Just as another customer came into the cafe, one she hadn't noticed, she began to take the order of table number four, which was full of builder type guys. None of them were particularly good looking, which was typical especially when one of them nipped her ass. She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Do you mind? I'm not a piece of meat." She was really quite annoyed and if it weren't for the fact most of her customers were always so nice, she'd have given the job up long ago.
She went stomping into the kitchen with the order, "I don't believe some guys Kirsty." She pointed to the table she had just taken the order from, "That big fat, baldy one just nipped my ass, what gives them the right to do that? Why can't I for once, get someone real nice to serve huh?" Kirsty didn't really say anything to Abigail though, but she did notice a look on her face, and she then pointed out to the cafe toward the window. "What?" Abigail asked, Kirsty just looked at her grinning. "How about that one Abby?" Abigail followed the direction of Kirsty's finger and then saw him.
"Well hello, now that's what I'm talking about! Bet he's engaged, married or gay." She then giggled slightly, "Well, no need to rush now, I'll serve him." She picked up her order book and made her way out to the table where the guy was sitting, making sure to scowl at the guys at the other table, which just happened to be behind the table that the good looking guy had sat down at.
"Hi there." She began with a bright smile on her face, "Ready to order yet?" No sooner had she asked this, than she felt her ass being nipped again. She rolled her eyes again, "Excuse me one moment please." She said to the good looking guy, and then went over and poured out a glass of water and made her way back to the table, to the guy who had nipped her ass, and promptly poured the water over him. "Next time you do that, we will ban you from the cafe, do you hear?" She was quite firm about it, unfortunately not firm enough.
One of the other guys, got up from his seat, in broad daylight in front of the many customers which were already in the cafe, and put his arm tightly around her neck. "Don't think that was very nice of you. My friend likes you, the least you can do is kiss him." Abigail was now feeling very scared, and kept looking in the direction of the good looking guy, trying to indicate to him to phone the police or something.
"Let me go you jerk." Abigail had kick-boxing skills, and could have taken them all out within minutes, but one, she was in her place of work and didn't think it would look good in front of everybody and two, she really, really wanted to see if the good looking guy would come to her rescue.

As Craig looked at the menu, he saw in the corner of his eyes some guys who looked a bit weird to him. He watched as the pretty waitress took their order. Then as he was just about to turn his attention back to the menu, he saw one of them grab her ass. Craig so wanted to say something, anything to those guys who should have known better, but he didn't. He watched as the waitress told them off, and then just walked away. So Craig just shook his head, and looked at the menu some more. He kind of smirked at what she said. Some guys just didn't know how to treat women at all.
Craig was just perusing the drinks menu, when he sensed that someone was there at his table. Then she spoke. He looked up at her from the menu, and smiled his bright smile. "Hi." Then she asked him if he was ready to order. Craig opened his mouth, but didn't get a word in, when he saw the guy from behind her cop another feel of her ass. He raised his eyebrows, when she rolled her eyes, and then she excused herself. Craig waved his hand slightly, to let her handle the situation.
He watched her walk over to where the water was, and poured a glass. Craig had no idea what she was going to do with that, but he sensed that she was trying to do something that might help the situation. He then gasped as she poured the entire contents of the glass over the guys head, telling him what would happen if he did it again. Craig heard a couple of claps after she did that, and he started to join in. But the next thing that happened, he hadn't really expected. He watched as one of the other guys put his arm around her neck.
He soon sensed her feelings right then, it was hard to miss. Plus Craig could also see the scared look in her eyes. He noticed that she continued to look at him, and he wondered what he could do. His ability wasn't anything like what was really needed in this predicament: strength, speed, mind control. All he had was this ability to sense stuff. He was definately picking up on the waitresses fears.
Craig heard and saw her tell the guy to let her go, but it seemed that the guy wasn't going to let her go anytime soon. He was pissed that she had covered his 'friend' with water. So Craig got up out of the booth, and stood up. "Maybe you should let her go, and pick on someone your own size." Craig was nowhere near the same size of the guy in question, so hoped that the guy wouldn't turn on him. Craig didn't think his agent would appreciate his face getting messed up.
The guy looked at Craig, and quickly let go of the waitress, and headed in the direction of Craig. He gulped a little, "Sorry. Just don't think that you should treat a woman like that." He started regretting intervening, as the guy's closed fist came towards his face, connectiong with his nose. Craig saw stars, then blacked out, not before feeling himself hit the floor.

When Abby had approached the good looking guy to take his order, and said hello asking if he was indeed ready to order, she caught that smile of his. It took her all her time to keep herself steady, as the smile had made her legs wobble slightly. He was damned gorgeous, no denying it. She was getting quite hot now, and if it hadn't looked so stupid in a cafe which had air conditioning, she would have began to fan herself with her order book.
However, he didn't get to say what he wanted before the guys who had been messing around with Abby had started again, by once more grabbing at her ass. She had rolled her eyes and made her apology to the guy, which he waved his hand at her as if to say, go do what you have to do, so that's exactly what she did. She went and got a glass of water and promptly poured it over the guy's head. Might not have been the best idea in the world, but it had made her feel better. What made her feel even better was the round of applause she was getting. She then bowed to everyone, however her moment of glee didn't last too long.
She was grabbed from behind around the neck, and she immediately began to feel scared. It wasn't often something like that happened in a cafe in broad daylight of all times. Anybody in the place could have come to her rescue really, but she really wanted the good looking guy to do it. Even though part of her felt bad, because she could easily have taken the guys. She really didn't want to go off on one. Her medication kept her bipolar disorder at bay, but even with the medication, sometimes Abby lost control.
Just when Abby was about to give up all hope and just take the suckers down, the good looking guy stood up and spoke. She mouthed a word of thanks to him. The guy who had a hold of her, let go, and the next thing he was heading toward the good looking guy and Abby knew what was coming next as she saw the guy's fist clench. Abby put her hands up to her face, and peered through open fingers just in time to see the fist connect with the good looking guy's face.
By this point, the police had arrived, someone must have called them, so at least she didn't all of a sudden have to show off the fact she could have taken them herself before. Once the police had dragged them out of the cafe, Abby immediately went to the guy who had helped her out. She felt terrible. She bent down, and lifted his head into her lap. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry, this is all my fault, I feel terrible. Oh look at your really handsome face." She then began to panic, but that was when Kirsty came out with a glass of water.
Abby took it from her and began to slowly put the glass to the guy's mouth hoping that it might bring him round. She truly felt terrible, she should have just taken care of them herself. If she told the guy the truth now, he'd think she was a prize bitch, when in truth, all she had wanted was for the good looking guy to notice her.

Craig just couldn't believe that she had in fact poured a glass of water over the guy's head. But maybe he did deserve it. Craig joined in the round of applause that was started by some of the people in the place, and smiled all the more when she had bowed to everyone. It was something that you didn't see everyday, and it just brightened his day all the more. But what happened next was not something to be happy about.
The waitress was grabbed from behind, and was put in a head lock of sorts. Craig could sense that she was frightened, and the look she was giving gave that away as well. Then he did something stupid. Craig decided to speak to the guy who was holding the waitress. He had no ability to physically do anything to the guy, but maybe words of persuasion might do the trick. No such luck. As soon as his words left his lips, Craig saw that the waitress mouthed 'thanks' to him, and then the guy let go of her.
He watched the waitress put her hands up over her face, as the guy moved closer to him, and connected his fist with Craig's face. All Craig could see were stars, then felt his body hit the floor, then nothing. That time that he was out to it, Craig had things run through is mind. One, that his agent was going to be pissed that he had gotten his face messed up. Two, that he was going to somehow blow it with meeting anyone with his face like this. And three, that he was going to be killed.
Then he thought that now he was going to be in the papers: the model who couldn't handle himself. Craig had tried, but what could you do when you couldn't do anything but sense things. He wondered how his sister used her ability for times like this. But maybe she never had to use it to defend herself. Maybe it was just the males that had to deal with it all.
Then all of a sudden, Craig felt something wet on his lips, and in his mouth. His sense of taste told him instantly that it was just water, but it started to make him cough. His eyes instantly opened up, coughing more with the water going down his throat. Looking up, he saw that he was infact in the arms, or the lap of the waitress who had tried to serve him only moments ago. I wonder how long I have been out for, thought Craig.
He wiped at his mouth, getting rid of any water that might have dripped on his face. Craig was quite embarrassed, as it seemed that now she was at his side to rescue him. As he tried to get up, he felt his face was throbbing, more so his nose. Craig touched right after it, he looked down at his fingers, and noticed blood. Great, thought Craig. He moved slightly away from the waitress, resting his head and back on a nearby chair. Craig gave her a weak smile, and put his hand near his nose. "Sorry that I wasn't able to do more. Are you okay?"

Abby had really thought that pouring the water over the guy would have been enough to send them packing. She was wrong. It got them really annoyed and the next thing she knew she was being grabbed from behind. Despite her bigger actions previously, she was now very scared. Even though she knew with her kick boxing skills she might have been able to take them out, she hadn't wanted to use it in front of her customers, more so, she'd wanted to see if the handsome guy would come to her rescue. Well he did come to her rescue and got a fist in the face for his trouble.
Abby now felt very bad and embarrassed, this had happened all because of her. She had immediately bent down to the guy and with the help of the water from Kirsty tried to bring him round. Thankfully it worked as he began to cough and splutter, so Abby removed the glass from his mouth. She was glad the police had come and taken the guys away, however, if she ever saw them in the street, she might just have to give them a proper piece of her mind in the form of her kick boxing skills.
She could see that he was embarrassed, because there was a slight flush to his face. This made Abby put her finger up into her mouth briefly, feeling even more terrible for having made him come to her rescue. However, she wasn't about to make fun of him over it, because that would only make matters worse. If anything, despite the way it turned out she was grateful for his help. She watched as he moved away from her slightly and then apologised for not having done more and asked if she was alright.
"No, no, it's fine, really. I feel terrible. I shouldn't have allowed you to help. I should have been able to take them, but for some reason fear just came over me." It wasn't exactly the truth, but it wasn't a complete out and out lie either. She then touched his cheek with her hand gently, "I'm fine thanks. I'm more worried about you now, look at your nose. I'm really sorry." She then wondered if she should introduce herself, after all, he'd just got himself a smack in the nose for coming to her rescue. Giving him her name, was the least she could do, right? She removed her hand from his face and held it out.
"My name is Abigail Halliwell, Abby to friends and family. I'm really sorry again." She then looked down, feeling so bad, that she physically couldn't look up at him anymore. He was so handsome, and yet now, after coming to her rescue, he had a bloody nose, it was all her fault, she felt really, really guilty.

Craig was glad that someone had helped him out after the whole thing. But did it have to be the really cute looking waitress? He was so embarrassed by what happened. His nose was in fact bleeding, seeing it on his hands, after touching it slightly. After moving to lean up against the back of the chair, Craig had apologised for not having done more, and asked if she was alright. He gave her a weak smile, but felt the throbbing his his face from his nose. Craig was grateful that his hand was there, but not too close to his mouth so that he wasn't able to talk to her.
Craig closed his eyes for a brief second, trying to block out the pain of his nose. But what made his eyes open again, was when he felt a hand gently rest on his cheek. All Craig could do was look at her, as she spoke. He was trying to keep his face still so that the pain would't be too much. "I'll be okay. I think my ego has been hurt more than anything else, let alone my face. I am just glad that nothing happened to you. I wish guys like that would keep their emotions at bay. His friend totally deserved what you did to him." Craig tried to stiffle a laugh, "Ouch. Oh." He moved his hand straight to his nose. It even hurt to laugh.
Soon that nice feel of her hand was gone, and it was this time held out for him to take. Craig slowly took Abby's hand. "Hi Abbigail. Craig Woods." He shook her hand, then let go of it. "And don't be sorry. It happened, and now I just have to deal with my face. I just hope that it is okay before I have my next job lined up." Craig slowly got up off the floor, and saw Abby looking down and away from him. He lent over as much as he could, touching her arm. "Hey. It's okay, really."
He felt so bad for her now. Maybe she could be useful. "Do you have any ice that I could use to put on this nose of mine? And maybe a moist towel or something?" He gave her a small smile, as he sat down in the booth behind him. Craig didn't want her to feel bad. He imagined that things like this happened from time to time, and everyone had to deal with it.

Abby watched as the guy closed his eyes, he must have been in a lot of pain and she felt really guilty, it was her fault after all. If only she hadn't let fear take over, or if she hadn't been so smart wanting the cute guy to help her out, then he wouldn't be in the mess he was currently in. Talk about putting your foot in it? Although something good had come out of it in a way, at least they were talking to each other. Abby wasn't so sure she'd have spoken to him otherwise. She had an eye for the cute guys, but usually when it came to actually talking to them, she crumbled. This had, ironically, been a good opener for her.
When he spoke saying he was okay and that his ego had been hurt more than anything else, she gave him a wak smile. "Yeah well, ego or face, doesn't matter, I feel like it was all my fault. But you're right, he did deserve it." Abby let out a small laugh then, thinking back to what she did. The guy then began to laugh himself, and then obviously felt the pain from his nose, as he said ouch and put his hands up to his nose again.
The fact it was even hurting him to laugh was making Abby feel even more guilty. She should have just taken those guys, and not tried to be so smart about it, but she had seen that opportunity for the cute guy to help, and then fear took over, making the situation so much worse. She should have just kneed him or elbowed him where it hurt. Why did you always think of these things when it was too late to do anything about it?
Abby then chose that moment to introduce herself, holding her hand out to him, and she smiled as he took it. Craig Woods, cute name for a cute guy she thought and giggled in her head. "Pleased to meet you Craig." She would have added that she was sorry again, but he had told her not to be, that it had happened and he had to deal with it and hoped he was better for his next job. Oh My God! She thought, he was a model, and she had inadvertently messed up his looks.
"Next job? You're a model? Oh, now I really am sorry. This is all my fault." She put her hands up to her face, she honestly felt terrible for the guy. What if he lost his next job, or worse, what if his management dropped him for getting into a fight? This was awful. I'm a terrible person. This had certainly learned her lesson, she would never pretend she wasn't capable of taking guys out again. Maybe she had got talking to the cute guy, but if he lost his job, it was all her fault.
The next thing she knew, she felt his hand on her arm, and then he said that it was okay, really. She turned slowly to face him again, a weak smile on her face, "Are you sure? Because I feel really bad." Craig then asked if she had some ice and maybe a moist towel for his nose. She nodded her head, "Yeah sure, I'll see what I can do." She then ran off into the kitchen, and scooped out some ice they used for the cold drinks and then got a clean, soft towel, dropped the ice into it and wrapped it around. She then turned to Kirsty, "I'm taking my break now." Kirsty just shook her head and winked at her, and Abby made her way out to where Craig was.
She handed over the ice in the towel, with a weak smile, "I hope this helps, and I just told Kirsty, the manageress I'm taking my break now." Why had she said that? He was probably not even in the slightest bit interested in talking to her. Look what happened just for defending her. Maybe she should just continue working and leave him alone. "Or maybe you'd rather just be left alone, I think I've caused you enough damage today." She would have walked away and went back into the kitchen, but something made her stay where she was, so instead she just looked at him, feeling like a nervous school girl when she was anything but.

Even after she said that that she felt that it was all her fault, she still managed a small laugh. It was funny, but not at the time, but Craig couldn't laugh a lot, as his face was sore, or mainly his nose. When he had tried to laugh, Craig had put his hand up to his face to try and contain the pain. He hoped that he wasn't coming off as a baby with the whole things, but it really killing him. Craig had seen when guys punched others on tv, and he knew that it would hurt like hell. But not like this. That guy had a good right hook. Craig could sense the way she was feeling, and hoped that she wouldn't feel bad over the situation soon.
Craig smiled at Abby, when she said that she was pleased to meet him. Well, even before official introductions, they seemed to be having a good conversation, even if it was more on her side, what his nose and all. Craig knew that he shouldn't have mentioned about his whole job and all that. But he wondered if she even recognised him from any of his photo shoots that he had done for magazines, and other things. Once again Abby was feeling sorry for what happened. Seeing her put her hands up over her face, Craig just wanted to tell her that it was okay again.
He had then put his hand on her arm, telling her it was okay. Craig continued to leave his hand on her arm, trying to reassure her somehow. "Yes. I am sure." He removed his hand, asking for ice or a moist towel for his nose. As she went off to get something, Craig got up and sat in the booth behind him. He leaned his head back, resting in on the back of the booth. Craig wondered if he should go to the hospital to make sure that it wasn't broken. He didn't want to have to explain to his manager that he wouldn't be able to work small jobs between now and when his next larger job came up in like a month and a half.
Just then Abby came back, and handed him the towel, with the ice inside. "Thanks," he said, taking the towel, and slowly placed it over his nose and face. He winced in pain at the sudden coldness to the touch. Craig closed his eyes for a moment, and heard her talk to him. He had heard her say that she was taking a break, and that was fine. It might be good to have company while he was sitting here doing nothing at all. But then whe she suggested that he might want to be left alone, and that she had caused enough damage, Craig opened his eyes, and slowly turned to look at her. "No. The company would be good, if that is okay?"
Craig then continued to feel some pain every few seconds from his face. "I am seriously thinking that I might actually take a trip to the hospital to just get it checked out." He sat up in the booth, and began to blindly look and fumble in his pocket for his wallet to pay for whatever he had ordered, if he infact had even done that. Craig finally got it out, and opened it up on the table with one hand. Finally reaching for a ten dollar note, he handed it to Abby. "Here. I can't remember if I ordered anything, but that would cover whatever I wanted."

After Abby found out that Craig was a model, she began to think back on some magazines she had bought, and soon realised she had seen him in a few. Realising this didn’t help her guilt any though, and even though he had told her it was fine, she still couldn’t help but feel terribly sorry about everything which had happened. Abby had soon felt a hand on her arm, as he continued to say it was fine, as if he was trying to reassure her somehow. She gave him a weak smile, but the touch of his hand on her arm was tingling, as it felt good. “I remember seeing you in a couple of my magazines now, which makes me feel terrible I didn’t recognise you. I really wished I hadn’t frozen in fear, because then nothing would have happened, and you’re handsome face wouldn’t be hurt.”
After she had asked him if he was really sure it was alright, he had once again said it was, and then he removed his hand, making her sigh to herself slightly, as the touch had been good and now it was gone. “Alright, well, if you’re sure you’re sure then.” She then giggled a little, realising how silly what she had just said sounded. She still felt terrible about everything, what if his career was ruined and it was all her fault? She knew she would never forgive herself. It wasn’t long after he asked for ice, and Abby soon went to get it and brought it back to him. She hoped the ice would work, and really more than anything, she hoped his nose wasn’t broken, because then she would feel guilty all over again.
She noticed he was back sitting in the booth, she would have slipped in opposite him, but decided not to push it right away. He thanked her for the towel and ice, “You’re welcome.” She had then told him she was on a break, but guessing she had caused him enough damage, he wouldn’t be too interested. However, he said no and the company would be good if that was okay. Abby couldn’t hold back her happiness and excitement any longer, “Yeah, it’s alright, wouldn’t have suggested otherwise, I just didn’t think you would want to, but...” She trailed off, and began to giggle a little again, and then sat in opposite him. Now what was she going to say? However, Craig spoke to her first, but he was talking about going to the hospital, which just made Abby feel bad again.
“It’s really that bad huh? Saying that isn’t doing much to reassure me Craig.” However, because he really had said it was fine, she grinned at him, hoping he would know that she was teasing him slightly, but inside, she was still feeling really, really bad. She then wondered if he would like company when he went to the hospital, she would be finishing her shift soon anyway, Abby worked different shifts every day, sometimes they only lasted a couple of hours, and other times they were a lot longer. She was still full time, but split her hours, so she could have a couple of days where she worked less than others. She also worked in the evening twice every other week. So if she worked the Tuesday and Thursday evening of this week, she didn’t the following week. “Maybe I could come with you to the hospital if you go, it would make me feel a little better.” She then bit down on her bottom lip, she still couldn’t get it out of her head that all of this had been her fault.
The next thing Abby knew Craig was fumbling around in his pocket to bring out his wallet and soon she was being handed over a ten dollar note to pay for whatever he had ordered. However, with everything that happened, Craig hadn’t had a chance to order anything. This just made Abby blush, “Actually, you never did order anything, you uhm, didn’t get the chance to. Sorry.” She looked away from him, feeling really guilty all over again. Was this inner guilt she felt ever going to go away? A really handsome guy whom she had taken an instant shine to, had come to her rescue, he got whacked on the nose for his trouble and she then found out he was a top model. Really, could her day get much worse? “Would you like me to get you something now?” She had to ask, he had handed over money, so she figured he would want something.

All Craig could do was just shake his head slightly, as Abby again said that she felt terrible again, after recalling seeing him in a couple of her magazines. Then she commented that nothing would have happened if she hadn't frozen in fear. "It's okay. And if you had done something, it might just be your pretty face that would have copped the damage, and would be hurting right now."
Craig smiled when she said that if he was sure he was sure, and chuckled a bit when she giggled. He nodded, looking at her, knowing that he was sure. That giggle of hers was kind of cute, and he had to smile even more to himself at the sound of it still ringing in his head.
After Craig had said that the company would be good, he had to smile again after she seemed to get all excited for his okay with her sitting. He put his hand out to touch her hand, "I do want you to sit. Need someone to stay with me to make sure that I am okay." Craig could have taken care of himself, but he couldn't deny that it was good to have someone to talk to while he tried to stay calm.
He almost wished he hadn't mentioned the word hospital, as he saw Abby comment, asking if it was really that bad, and him talking about going to hospital didn't do much to reassure her. He was just about to say something, when she grinned at him. "Oh, ha ha." But he held back the laugh or chuckle as he didn't want the pain to be worse than it already was. He then looked at her serious. "But really, it might not be a bad idea to visit though soon, just to get it checked you know?" Craig was just about to ask if she wanted to go to the hospital with him, just for support, but then she commented about maybe coming with him to the hospital. "I was just thinking the same thing. It would be good." He looked around. "When do you get off? I could hang around till you finish, then we could go?" Craig just hoped that it would be too long, as he didn't want to wait too long to get checked out.
After Craig handed over a ten dollar bill, giving it to her towards whatever he had ordered, she told him that he hadn't ordered anything. "Oh, okay then." Abby then asked him if he wanted her to get him something now. Craig had come in for some food, so what the heck. "Sure." With one hand, Craig held the ice to his face, and with his other hand grabbed the menu to have a look. His eyes fell on the one thing that he thought might not have the one thing that he couldn't have, strawberries, due to his allergies. "I might grab the cheeseburger, and a chocolate milkshake thanks." He smiled at Abby, as he put the menu down. "Oh and also order a drink for yourself, as you are on a break. Might as well join me for something to drink or eat as well."

{ooc - sorry for the delay - how often am I going to have to say this lol}
Once Abby had realised she saw Craig’s face in a couple of her magazines, she had said how sorry she was again, and wished she hadn’t frozen in fear, when he replied however, Abby couldn’t help but smile at his words, but on the inside she was bursting with joy. Just hearing the words her pretty face, made her feel all giddy on the inside. “Maybe, but I’m a big girl.” She pretended to flex her muscles, “And I know some kick boxing skills, but I just completely froze, I really should have been able to take them on.” So, finally, Abby had admitted the truth, well, as much of the truth as she would allow, she wasn’t about to say before she froze, she was hoping for him to help because he was handsome. Oh no, that bit of information would stay with her until she probably died.
When Craig touched her hand with his, she felt her skin tingle, and once again on the inside she was simply glowing and bursting with happiness, she wanted to scream out like a little school girl whose secret crush had just admitted he had a crush on her too. However, that wasn’t the case and she wasn’t about to make a fool of herself. He then said he did want her to sit, he needed someone to make sure he was okay. Oh, he was more than okay, thought Abby, biting on the inside of her cheek, as she eyed him, despite his damaged nose right then, he was smoking hot. She grinned at him, “Alright then, but just so you know, I’m actually a waitress, not a nurse.” She giggled at her own humour, and hoped Craig would find it funny too.
She couldn’t believe she was sitting opposite a model, she’d seen in a couple of her magazines, and he’d come to her rescue, really, how cool was that? Very cool indeed when you were Abigail Halliwell, with not much luck in guys. After Craig mentioned the hospital, Abby decided to play along a little bit, asking if it was that bad, and what he had said wasn’t doing much to reassure her. She was grinning though, and that had obviously told Craig she was messing with him. He didn’t exactly laugh, but he did say ha ha. She knew he was avoiding laughing because it would be sore on his poor nose. She really hoped it wasn’t broken. When Craig then continued saying it might be best to get it checked out, Abby nodded her head, trying to get serious. “Yeah, of course, you’re right; you should totally get it checked out.” Now I wish I was a nurse, I’d check you out any day of the week, she thought, then licked her lip slightly, not realising what she had just done.
Abby had then suggested going to the hospital with him, and she couldn’t help but give him a bright smile, when he said he’d been thinking the same thing himself. She slapped her hands in her lap then, “Settled then.” She might have to try and sneak a look when he was in the consultation room, well sometimes these doctors asked you to remove so much clothing it was ridiculous, she might actually get to see something really good. Then she mentally scolded herself, her mind was acting like a sewer all of a sudden. Craig then asked the inevitable question, what time did she get off, in truth she still had about two hours of her shift left, she wasn’t even sure if he would want to wait that long. “I’ve still got two hours left, well just under two if you take off the fifteen minute break I’m about to have. Can you wait that long?” If he said he couldn’t, she would offer to give the break up and ask if there was a chance she could leave earlier instead.
After Abby told Craig he hadn’t actually gotten around to ordering anything and did he want something now, he said sure, and began to look at the menu. He soon asked for the cheeseburger and a chocolate milkshake and smiled at her. She grinned back and stood up, “No problem, back in a few minutes.” Just as she was about to walk away, he spoke again saying she was to get something for herself, she may as well join him with something to drink or eat as well. “Well thank you Craig, that is very kind of you, I might just do that.” She then walked off into the kitchen, and the soon as she got in there, Kirsty started talking to her right away. “He’s something else Abby, coming to your rescue like that.”
“I know, isn’t he just wonderful?” Her voice was full of excitement as she continued to giggle, and did a slight shimmy style dance, to which Kirsty exploded with laughter. Kirsty began to prepare the cheeseburger, it was one of their popular dishes, so there was always burgers on the go, and while she did that Abby fixed up the chocolate milkshake. She picked up a blueberry muffin for herself and a glass of diet coke. She put everything onto a tray and as she was about to make her way back to the table, Kirsty tapped her shoulder, “Keep in there, he’s a hottie.” Abby grinned and giggled again, “I know, and don’t worry, I plan to.”
About five minutes later Abby was back at the table Craig was sitting it, still in her waitress mode, she lifted off the burger and placed it in front of Craig and then gave him his milkshake. “There you go Sir.” She did a slight bow, and then placed her muffin and drink on the table as well. Once she was sitting back down, she slipped over the change from the bill he had given her to pay. “Thanks for the treat, although after what you did for me, I think it’s me who should be treating you, really.” She then took a bite of her muffin followed by a drink and then sat back in her chair, thinking she was so lucky right then, not only had he rescued her, he had bought her a muffin and a drink, he was pretty damn awesome and they weren’t even dating yet. Oh, but if I have anything to do with it, we’ll be dating alright, she thought to herself, as her heart skipped a beat at the idea, looking up at him, and giving him a sweet and innocent smile.

Craig started to laugh at what Abby was doing, pretended to flex her muscles, but had to stop, as it hurt to laugh. He put his hand up to his face, and cringed in pain. "Oooo! Sorry, shouldn't laugh, but it was funny what you did." Craig shook his head, when she mentioned that she should have been able to take them on. "It's okay. Who knows what I would have done if I was in your shoes. Things like that can make you freeze up. Don't worry."
Craig shook his head, smirking a bit, at what Abby said about being a waitress, not a nurse. "That's fine with me. You might be able to serve me up some common sense then next time I try to take on guys who are more than double my size." He hoped that she had gotten his sarcasm, and not a dig at her for not sticking up for herself. The situation might have been reverse if he had been the one in the head lock.
"Good." Craig gave her a half smile then, liking the idea of her coming with him to the hospital. Just having someone there to be there for him was enough. He was glad that she wasn't blaming herself anymore. Craig didn't want her to feel bad for him continually. He was a big boy, and he could handle what was to come. But he hated hospitals, and hoped that he wouldn't faint at the sight of needles. Craig started to hope that his nose wasn't broken, and he wouldn't need anything to physically happen to his nose. When Abby said that she still had under two hours left of her shift, and then asked if he could wait that long, Craig thought. "Not sure if I should wait that long. Just on the off chance that my nose is broken, that's all." Craig looked down at the table, not sure what to say now. He wanted Abby to go with him, but he didn't honestly want to wait all that time, if it stopped his nose from healing properly.
Craig waited then for Abby to come back with the cheeseburger and chocolate milkshake that he ordered. He looked around the place, looking outside the window, and then his gaze fell on the counter, and then through to the kitchen out the back. He saw Abby doing whatever she was doing in the kitchen to get their orders ready, and he saw her talking to another waitress. His thoughts went back then to what was discussed between him, Emma and Marcus back at Emma's twenty-first party. He had said that if he met someone, he would make sure that Emma got to meet her, and he would take on anything she said about his potential partner. Looking at Abby, he wondered if she would go for anyone like him. Maybe she would, because he was a model. But he hoped that after this disasterous first meeting, that she would look past that.
Five minutes later, Abby was back with his order, handing the cheeseburger and chocolate milkshake. He had to hold in a chuckle then, as she said 'there you go Sir', then did a little bow. Craig slightly nodded in acknowledgement, and watched her sit down with her food and drink that she got. When she gave him the change, he saw that it wasn't much, so Craig pushed back to her. "Here. Take it as a tip. You have gone past your waitress duty already, what with helping me." Craig gave her a small smile, then leaned in for a sip of his chocolate milkshake. It was real good.
Abby then thanked him for the treat, but it should have been her who should have treated him. "No. You have helped me with my nose by getting ice and a towel, now I am doing my bit. So we are even." He took a bit of his cheeseburger, a small bit at that, and then Craig looked up at Abby as he chewed. She smiled at him, and he smiled at her with his eyes. Once the food was gone from his mouth, Craig looked at the burger that he had hardly touched. It was so good, but it was hurting a bit to eat as his face was moving as he ate. "The burger is good and all, but not sure if I can really eat it. Will just stick to the milkshake for now." Craig didn't want to waste it, so he placed it in a napkin, and wrapped it up. "Sorry to break up this like morning tea date thing, but I thinkI should go to the hospital to get my nose checked." Craig waited for Abby to reply. If she couldn't go, then he would have to go without her. The only other person he might have to rely on might be Emma, his sister, or if Marcus wasn't busy, then him maybe.

{ooc - sorr..... ah you know it already by now. LOL}
After Abby had flexed her muscles, or pretended to, saying she was a big girl, she watched as Craig laughed, obviously at what she did, and then he stopped suddenly complaining about the pain in his nose. She really did hope it wasn’t broken, for the sake of his career. “Well, I’m glad you laughed, it was meant to be funny, even if you shouldn’t be laughing.” Next time she ran into trouble like that, she was going to make damn well sure she used her ability on them, and not look to someone to bail her out, no matter how handsome they happened to look. He then went on to say that it was fine she had froze up, as it can happen to anyone in that kind of situation. “Well thanks for understanding Craig.”
Abby had used a bit of sarcasm, in a joking way when she’d told Craig she was a waitress and not a nurse, so she couldn’t help but raise her eyebrows and giggle slightly at his response. “Ah, a witty response, I like it.” She leaned in a little closer, “You and I would get on well together, I can sense it.” She should have blushed realising what she had just said to him, but she felt she didn’t care, she was only being honest, they would get on well together. She was now secretly beginning to hope they would get more chances of meeting up with each other. “I’m not sure we serve common sense in here though...” She trailed off, and giggled again before continuing, “But maybe I could serve some personally?” What had she been drinking? She was now shamelessly flirting like mad with Craig and she was loving it. Usually all of that was kept to her thoughts.
When Abby said she would go to the hospital with him and then told him her shift didn’t finish for another two hours, she had asked if he could wait that long. She really hoped he could, but when he replied, she soon found out he didn’t want to wait that long, which was understandable, especially if there was more serious damage there, it was better to know sooner than later. Abby reached her hand across and put it on his arm, “I would like to go with you Craig, I’ll ask if I can get away early, I can always work more on my next shift to make up for it.” She gave him a warm smile then, and took her hand away again. Her boss was quite flexible with her usually, because she did work in shifts, it was always quite easy to get away earlier if she promised to work longer the next shift.
After Abby got the orders ready and was ready to take them back, she realised she had to ask to get away early. “Oh, Kirsty, is it alright to leave early today? I’m not sure when, but Craig,” she pointed in his direction, “wants to go to the hospital to get his nose checked, and I feel I should go with him, since he’s in that state because of me.” Kirsty nodded her head, giving Abby a smile, “Yeah, sure you can, you know the deal, just make up for it next shift, we’re not that busy just now, I can cover until Claire comes in.” Abby smiled at her, “Thanks.” She had then made her way back and immediately went into waitress mode as she gave Craig his order. She smiled at him as he nodded his head to acknowledge her. Soon after she sat down, she had slipped the change to Craig, which he then pushed back over to her, telling her to take it as a tip. Usually she would take tips without any problem, but this time, she felt bad.
“Really, I think you’re the one who should be getting tipped for helping me, but if you insist.” She took it and then gave him a bright smile, “Thank you, and the help from me was only natural because you had already helped me.” How could she not have helped him? He was handsome, and he had come to her rescue, and paid the price for it as well, she had to help him. Abby had then went on to thank him for the drink and muffin she had got for herself, and he said that they were now even because she had helped him with the ice and towel. “Well, that is true, but you helped me in the first place.” She then began to giggle a little, realising that they could probably go on like this for ages. “Maybe we should admit that we both helped each other, or we might go like this for hours yet.” Not that it would have been a bad thing, Abby would quite happily spend hours with him and enjoy every single one of them.
A short while later however, Craig then spoke saying that the burger was really good and all but he wasn’t sure he could eat it, and just stick to the milkshake. It must have been quite a knock he got from that guy then she thought, poor Craig. “It’s alright, next time you come in, if you do, I’ll make sure you get one on the house.” Well it was the least she could do given the reason for why he couldn’t eat it properly. Then Craig said he felt he had to get going to the hospital to get his nose checked, rather than wait any longer. Then her mind went back to what he had said, morning date thing, was that what he was referring this to, like a date? No, she must have misunderstood him, and she wasn’t about to make a fool of herself, but she certainly wouldn’t turn down a date with him, ever.
“That’s alright Craig, I understand.” She took another sip of her coke, and then realised she could go with him, “Oh, and I asked if I could get away early, whenever you felt you had to go and Kirsty said I could, so, I’m all yours, so to speak.” She grinned at him, as she downed the rest of the drink, and stuffed the last piece of the muffin into her mouth. “Just give me two seconds.” She then ran into the back again, whipping off her apron, she grinned at Kirsty, “Alright, he wants to go now, so I can just go, yeah?” Kirsty grinned back at her, and shooed her away with her hands, “Go, go, go!! Make sure he’s fine, I don’t want sued.” Abby just laughed, and was soon back by Craig’s side, “Alright, let’s go then.” Without thinking she grabbed his hand and began leading him out of the cafe and toward the taxi rank and soon had them one hailed down.

Craig gave Abby a bit of a raised eyebrow then, when she moved closer and said that they would get on well together. He wanted to comment about her saying that she could sense it, as he had the ability of enhanced senses. But he decided to shut his mouth on that one. He had no idea if she was like him or not. The she mentioned what she could serve him some up personally. Just the thought of that made a grin appear across Craig's lips, and then on his entire face. "Might be something to consider for later than." He was definately going to come back here for a meal or two. If only to just see Abby, who he could honestly tell that would be someone to have some fun with. He needed that right now, as he didn't really know anyone, except for his family, their respective others, and his manager. Other than that, there really wasn't anyone else. After Craig said that he would rather go to the hospital soon, he listened to what Abby said, and gave her a small smile. "That would be great. Thanks." He hadn't let the feel of her hand on his arm go unnoticed. It had felt good to have a reassuring touch after all that had happened. Craig then sat back and waited for the food to come. Once Abby came back, and the friendly banter happened, Craig had insisted that she take the change. He didn't know if she would take it or not at first, but then she said if he insisted, then she would. Craig nodded slowly. "Yes, I insist." Then he watched her take it, saying thank you. "No problem." Abby then commented about him helping her first. She then added that they should just admit that they both helped each other, or they might go like this for hours. "I agree. Settled, and all that." He put his hand out for her to shake on it. Once that was done, Craig took a sip of his drink. But then after a little while, he soon realised that eating was not doing his face any good. It was hurting a bit to actually eat, so he was just sticking to his drink. Craig nodeed slowly, when Abby said that she would give him one on the house when he came in next. "Thanks." Craig really felt like he needed to get to the hospital with the nose. It was really starting to throb with the pain. So after he mentioned that he should get going, Abby said that it was okay, and that it was okay for her to get away early, so she was all his so to speak. "That's good to hear." Craig stopped drinking the chocolate milkshake, as Abby drank the rest of her drink and ate the last bit of her muffin. He then sat back again, closing his eyes for a brief second, hoping that the hospital wasn't too far away. Once Abby was back, he gave her a weak smile, and started to move out of the booth. Craig then looked down for a brief second, seeing Abby holding his hand, then she led him out of the cafe. They were soon outside, and waited for a taxi to stop. One soon did, and before they got in, Craig looked at Abby. "Thanks for coming with me. I think it is best to have someone with me, just in case anything has to be done." Once they got in, they drove to the hospital. **** 3 hours later **** Craig couldn't believe that it had taken them so long to see a doctor, for them to just look at his nose. He felt bad for Abby to be hanging around with a complete stranger, but he was glad that she was there. Craig knew that whatever happened with his nose, he would need someone to maybe call his parents or one of his siblings to tell them what happened, as he wouldn't really sound great on the phone if his nose was in a splint or something. But lucky for Craig, nothing was broken. It was hurting so much that he was sure it was, but the doctor reassured him it was just very badly bruised. If he had broken it, Craig would have known. But the doctor did an x-ray, and there was no signs of breakage at all. That was one good thing, thought Craig. So once the doctor just told him to take pain medication, and to apply ice every few hours a day, he was right to go. The doctor also told him that it would take up to about two weeks for the bruising to be completely gone. Lucky for Craig he didn't have anything scheduled for a couple of weeks. Once they were out of the hospital, he removed the ice that he was given, and stopped walking. "Thanks again Abby for helping me, and staying all that time. I didn't think that we would be here all that time." He put the ice back on his nose, and wondered what she would say to that. Craig could tell that she was kind enough to come, but didn't know whether he had held her up with anything that that she had planned for the afternoon, if she did have other things that she had to do.
