Abby couldn’t believe she had flirted with Craig so openly and so easy when she said she could serve him up some common sense personally, but the grin she saw forming on his lips made her relax a little more, knowing that he hadn’t been put off by what she said. When he replied saying it might be something to consider for later, Abby grinned, “Ah, so Craig likes that idea? Well, so do I, so I hope you do consider it for later.” Abby giggled a little then and felt the smallest of blushes come over her a little. Usually flirting with guys came naturally to Abby and very seldom did she blush, but she had felt herself do it a couple of times with Craig and had found herself holding back on the flirting with Craig for some reason, but now it just seemed she couldn’t stop herself from flirting but the blushes were definitely new, she figured she must really like this guy.
When Abby said she would ask to get away early so she could go to the hospital with him because she wanted to go he thanked her. Abby gave him a bright smile, “Not a problem, why wouldn’t I want to go with such a handsome looking man who’s a model no less?” Damn, she’d done it again, and once more she felt a blush come over her face. Okay, she had to stop with the flirts, because they were making her blush and she wasn’t sure she liked that affect, but she definitely liked Craig, her heart was starting to do that whole beating fast thing.
When Abby said they should both agree they had both helped each other or they might have gone round in circles for hours, she had to smile brightly when he agreed and held his hand out to shake on it. She took it, and gave him a cheeky half smile. “Settled, definitely.” Even just the touch of his hand in her own for shaking on that deal felt so nice. This in itself caused yet another blush to come over Abby’s face. So, not only was it her own flirting making her go red, it was his touch, well, now she knew she must really like him, but why would a guy like him, a model, be interested in her, just a simple waitress? And a blonde one at that.
After Craig said he should get to the hospital soon, Abby told him she could get away early and she finished the rest of her drink and muffin and then got her jacket, and soon she had taken his hand and began to lead him out of the cafe. She wasn’t even aware she had taken his hand, at least not at first, but when she did realise it, she blushed again a little, but she wasn’t about to let his hand go, she liked having it there. A taxi arrived soon after, and Abby hailed it down but before they got in, Craig turned to her and thanked her for coming with him saying he felt he should have someone there in case he needed to get anything done. “Of course you need someone, and you’re welcome, I honestly don’t mind.”
It was just as well Craig had decided to go and see about his nose when he did, as they ended up having to wait for quite some time before he was taken. It didn’t bother Abby at all; it wasn’t as if she had anywhere else to be, just finishing her shift and then an afternoon and evening to herself doing nothing as usual. The soon as Craig came back and appeared to be finished, Abby gave him a smile after putting down the magazine she had been flicking through. “So, nothing seriously wrong then I hope?”
Once they were outside the hospital, Craig removed the ice from his nose and stopped walking which made Abby stop walking also. She listened to what he was saying and she shook her head giving him a reassuring warm smile, “Its fine Craig, I had nothing better to do this afternoon anyway, not as if I’ve got a handsome man at home waiting for me or anything like that.” She giggled then, and once more felt a blush come over her seeing as she had just blatantly admitted she was single and the way she had said it sure sounded like a hint. “I would ask you back to my apartment to relax for a while, but I guess after all of that in there, you might just want to go home and I really wouldn’t blame you, but I do hope I might get to see you again?” Now her face was really blushing, she didn’t know why this time, it wasn’t a flirt, and she hadn’t exactly asked him on a date, but she had said she hoped to see him again, so maybe in a way, technically, that was asking him on a date. Oh god, she thought, I’ve just made the first move, that’s so wrong!!
{ooc - not sure about this thread yet - I dare say another post from Craig n Abby will finish it?}
