1st October, 2009
The Las Vegas youth center. Summers over for the little ones. School has started up again and boring days filled with homework and lectures filled every child's life. Well there were the exceptional few. The Youth center provided an escape from the hassles of everyday life for a kid. There worries could just melt away as they hang out with kids there own age and play with them. Have fun doing the different activities. Alex wasn't there for fun. He wanted to find the girl who he painted on Lydia's table. He was worried that she told him The man who kept her at the carnival grew more powerful as more specials came in. Alex now knew that not only was the future messed up, there were troubles in this time as well. Alex couldn't do anything to fix his time in the future until he knew what went wrong. He had learned that from his new Friend. Lydia seemed like a mother to him more then anyone ever has. Her love and caring nature was just so overwhelming that it still enlisted itself within Alex's hart.
Alex flashed in the scene. Teliporting inside a tunnel. Luckily he had done so because there were allot of rug rats running around. Little kids just having fun and being carefree. Alex crawled threw the tunnel and slid down the slide connected to it. He got up as other kids pushed him out of the way. Alex looked around at the many faces. He couldn't tell which one the girl in his painting was. Alex walked slowly threw the crowed of people and tried to match up there faces to his memory of the girl. None fit the bill. She was around his age he knew that for sure. Alex walked into a more empty room after about an hour of trying to find her. She might not even be in this area but Alex just had an urge to come here. The cards he had didn't work in this time for some reason so the compass card wouldn't point him in the right direction.
Alex made his way over to a bench and sat down. "I'll never find her." He pouted. A half eaten bag of chips were sitting beside him. Alex's tummy growled. Alex looked around and nobody seemed to be claiming them. He figured someone must have left them there and forgot about them. Alex helped himself to a handful. He would need to refuel in order to think of a way to locate this girl. Alex started to get side tracked an Begin to play with the chips. Balancing each one on his finger tip before flipping them up and catching them in his mouth. He started having fun like all the other kids. Blending in with the crowed. Soon he realized what he was doing and stopped the goofing off. He gets so easily distracted. "Kool-aid!" He screamed as he saw the red liquid getting poured into a glass.
He ran up to the stuff and pored his own glass. He took a sip and licked his lips afterwords. "Mm-mm." He groaned the taste was just to good. Kool-aid was used a reword for good behavior in the future. They only drank water were he was from. So this is a nice change of pace. Alex has to get back on track. He was searching for the girl. He knew her name so he asked around. "Hey you know a Elizabeth Harris?" He asked another young girl around his age. She shook her head. "No but the guys who work here no everyone." She told Alex. Alex nodded his head and told her thanks. He made his way to the man and repeated the same question. The guy pointed in her direction. "Shes over there kid." The man told him. Alex smiled she actually was here after all. He had a feeling he teliported here for a reason. Alex walked over to her. Or tried to at least. There were kids running in and out and all around. He Finlay made his way over to her backside. He pivoted his foot and circled around her. Once he was face to face with her words escaped his thoughts. He just looked at her with a bright smile. "Found you!" He shouted as he recognized her to be the girl wich he drew.

Elizabeth Harris or Libby as she preferred, hadn’t had a very good few weeks. Her daddy who was supposed to be marrying Stacey, found out the baby she was carrying wasn’t his baby. Libby hadn’t fully understood it at first, until her Aunt Debbie explained it in greater detail. She didn’t know how to react. She was beginning to love Stacey as a new mom, and she did this to her daddy, it was wrong. Libby thought she was going to have a baby brother or sister, but it wasn’t to be. The young girl had actually taken it quite badly. While her daddy tried to get over it, Brendan had sent her to her grandparents. Libby loved her grandparents, so she wasn’t too bothered by it, but she had missed her daddy while she’d been there, she hated to think of him being upset.
After about a couple of days however, Brendan sent for Libby to come home, as he had been missing his little ‘Kitten’ as he called her, and arranged for his friend to fly his daughter back home. She was still a very confused young girl, and the school had advised Brendan his daughter should see the school counsellor. Brendan was worried about his daughter naturally, but knew the counsellor might just be who she needed to speak to. Libby was still getting over the death of her mother, and the new mom she thought she was going to have, had lied to her daddy and now it was just Libby and Brendan. Although, that wasn’t quite true, Uncle Gray lived in the big mansion they had with them both. Uncle Gray was brilliant, he was so good with her, and when the two of them got together, it was chaos.
The counselling sessions only lasted for a week. Seeing David Callaghan every day for five days had made Libby open up and he actually got her to realise that none of it was her fault, her daddy would still love her, and probably so did Stacey. Libby began to wonder if she should try to contact Stacey or if her daddy would be annoyed at that. She was still quite confused about it all, even if she was back to being her cheery self. The counsellor had done so much good work at the school, the school had bought him a special award and it just happened to be Libby who was the one who gave him the award. She had made a good friend in the school counsellor.
Now, while waiting on her daddy coming home from work, and with school finished for the day, she attends the local youth center for a couple of hours. Brendan always collected her on his way home from work. She was just sitting enjoying a can of Pepsi and reading a book for school when she felt someone’s presence around her. The next thing she knew she was faced with a young boy whom she didn’t recognise, it was obvious he hadn’t been coming to the youth center often, if at all. What was strange was the way he said ‘found you!’, as Libby didn’t even know him. Was she supposed to know him though? She looked at him with a raised eyebrow, “Hi, do I know ya or somethin’?” She asked in her strong Southern accent, not the only trait she shared with her daddy Brendan.

Alex was an odd ball of sorts. He was always different. Even for the children in his time. In the future almost everyone is depressed or sad in some way. There trained to be nothing more then solders to fight in the wars and make sure those with high authority and power remain in that same position. Exceptional solders are able to reach a higher ranked position as one of the older high ranks die or become weak with age. Alex was a prodigy even as a newborn. Normally they kill children born with abilities greater then there own. But Alex could not die thanks to his mother. Alex was given the tittle of Eros Cupid by his mothers request. However his true name was given to him as well. Alex Banks. After training for a long time with his age group Alex was able to brake away and receive training personally by four of the most feared solders in the world. They were mean and cruel. They gave tasks that no child could do. Soon after spending time with the young boy they grown to like him and then even love him. Alex was punished for this as they thought he must have tricked them using an ability to manipulate emotions.
But everyone whom comes in contact with Alex seems to eventually grow to love him. As what happened with Lydia. In return Alex loves them all back. This goes for his four masters as-well. However there searching threw time plaining to kill the young child. Alex knew he couldn't defeat them on his own. But he is learning that there are people in this time who just might be able to help him. Alex had met Lydia and felt hope. She gave him direction in oder to improve his mission. Alex now wanted to find this young girl and knew it would be for the best if he had done it quick. There she was the young girl Libby drinking a cold soda and a book on her lap. Alex didn't notice at first because he was just so happy to have found her.
With a raised eye brow and accent Alex had never heard before, she asked if she had known him. Alex now looked at her face for the first time. His eyes opened wide with surprise. He leaps onto Libby and gives her a big tight hug. "Psyche, it's been so long. I missed you so much you have no idea." Alex told her with tears of joy in his eyes. "How did you come to the past? I thought I was the only time traveler aside from my master. Did she banish you here?" Alex asked her very serous. "Oh you must have met someone in your dreams." commented sure that was the case.
He had thought she was an old friend of his who had died. Her god name was Psyche and at the time she and Alex were a couple. Psyche was a princess and very powerful. But she belonged to another country. One which Alex was training to defeat in war. So Alex was assigned a mission to make the princess fall in love with a deformed monster. Alex ended up falling in love with her instead at first sight. The two became boyfriend girlfriend despite being from two different countries that were at war with each other. Alex used his teliporting abilities to see her every night in secrecy. Alex thought he had lost her forever But now it looked as though she appeared right before his eyes. Libby looked like her twin so the mistake was justified. Alex wanted to ask he another question. "I'm trying to fix are time in the future. So I came to this time thinking that there must be a way to change the past so the wars would never happen. I painted a picture of you controlling the weather around your body. I think maybe your going to have another dream and obtain some sort of weather control." Alex told her and then it hit him after he had told her all of this. "You never had a accent before, But its cute." He told her wondering why all of a sudden she had one.

After Libby asked the young guy if she knew him, the next thing to happen was him leaping onto her and giving her a hug and then calling her Psyche, and how he had missed her, she couldn’t reply to him before he started talking again, about how did she get to the past, had she been banished or she had met someone in her dreams. It was all a little too much for Libby, who kept looking at the young guy with a look of confusion and disbelief. When it sounded like he was finished talking, at least for a short time, Libby decided to reply to him.
“I ain’ sure wha’ ya been drinkin’ but I ain’ seen ya afore, an’ ma name’s Libby, it ain’ Psyche or wha’ever ya jus’ called me.” Even though he was quite young, Libby began to fumble in her pocket for her mobile phone, so if anything got a little weird, she could call her daddy and ask him to come and fetch her as soon as possible. A silence then fell for a short time, during this time, Libby kept looking at the guy, trying to figure out if she knew him and how she knew him, but nothing was coming to mind, and then he spoke again, about fixing their future. What future? What was he talking about?
“Look I don’ know wha’ yer goin’ on abou’, am sorry, I ain’ from the future, an’ I ain’ ever spoken to ya afore. It would be nice to have a special friend, but I don’ even know ya. An’ I’ve always had the ability yer speakin’ of.” Libby really felt kind of weird, she wished she knew what was going on with this boy, why did he seem to know her, when she didn’t know him at all. If things like this kept happening, she was going to ask her daddy if she could stay with him at his work until he was finished rather than come to this place. When he spoke again though, he said something about not remembering her having an accent but it was cute. This made Libby smile a little, showing off another one of her daddy’s traits, a very deep set dimple, not as prominent as her daddy’s and she only had the one, but it was still a part of Brendan.
“Well, I’ve always had ma accent, but thanks fer sayin’ it’s cute, are ya sure ya ain’ gettin’ me mixed up with someone else, cause I really don’ know ya.”

Unlike Libby Alex had was having the best few days of his life. He has found adventure and joy in the past. He loved it. The whole feel of someone being anything they wanted and not just training all day to become the solder the people in the future wanted them to be. Alex never thought he would have came this far. He had talked with Lydia and just kept thinking of the words they exchanged. How it made Alex feel like he was loved and for the first time, that he actually had a home to go back to. Lydia saw Alex to be a strange child at first but grew used to him as the conversation deepened. Here it seemed that the first impression was mutual with Libby. With a raised eye brow she asked him if she knew him. Alex had thought she was his old Friend and went on caring a conversation practly by himself about his Friends actions.
The girl of course came back saying that she didn't understand what he was talking about and must have been drinking. Alex grew curios. "Then if your not Psyche....But you look so much like her." Alex blurted out as if he was unsure himself what was going on. Alex saw her hands moving rapidly in her pockets for something. Unsure if he had freaked the poor girl out Alex immediately took a step back. "Oh sorry I thought you were this girl I knew. Your both just as pretty except she has a different color hair then you." Alex told Libby. She told Alex that her name was Libby. "Your Elisabeth Harris?" Alex asked her. She told him that she wasn't from the future and that she has never spoken or seen him before. "My names Alex. Alex banks. But were I'm from they know me as Eros Cupid. You can call me Alex though." Alex started to try to start over now.
He had scared the poor girl enough. He had to try to salvage what was left of his credibility with her. "I came from the future that I was talking about before. Its a place were theres constant war and preparation for war. They don't use weapons anymore. I guess you could say the weapons are the specials they got. People using there powers to fight each others countries and states. Kids are lied to and trained to become a solider very early." Alex explained. "Its not a future worth living for. But I traveled back in time to try to stop it from turning out the way it did." Alex continued. "I met this girl that showed me were to go. After I saw her I drew you on a table. You were dressed like a superhero and you were controlling the weather." He repeated what he said before.
"I guess fate wants you to help me save the world." Alex stated. He himself wanted Libbi's help but he believed that the picture he painted was for a reason. Maybe it was because she was around his age that she could help with his mission, or maybe it was because she looked so much like his little girl Friend in the future. Libby told him that she always had the accent. Questioned if he was getting her mixed up with someone else. "Yeah I think your right, You cant be her." Alex replied. "Since I know your powers I think you should know what I can do. Basically after I connect with a persons hart I am able to use there ability. One of the masters who trained me has an ability to time travel. After I connected emotionally her ability manifested within me and I ended up running to the carnival in this time." Alex told her. "I'm not used to how you guys act around here so sorry if I scared you before. Its just that my mission is very important so I have to do all that I can soon. " He ended with that.

{ooc - sorry it took so bloody long!}
Libby really wished she knew what this guy’s deal was, he wasn’t scaring her as such, but he was most certainly freaking her out. It wasn’t every day someone came and pounced on you, calling you another name and talking to you like they had known you for years. Eventually Libby told him she had no idea what he had been drinking, but she wasn’t Psyche or whatever he was calling her, and gave him her name. She could tell by his response she had shocked him a little, so she had to guess she must really look like this other person. The guy then confirmed what she had been thinking, so she gave him a weak smile. “No, am not Psyche, an’ am sorry I look like her. Ya must’a been really close huh?” Libby asked him, not really having any friends of her own. Well, there were the kids at school, but none of them really visited Libby as such. She didn’t really care, the size of the house her daddy had, she could either run around the grounds with her skipping ropes, or she was in either the indoor or outdoor swimming pool or having a game of tennis.
The boy then commented on her name, she nodded her head, “Yeah, tha’s righ’ Elizabeth Harris, but I don’ really like bein’ called Elizabeth, it’s always Libby.” She remembered the day that the social worker took her to her new home, and how he had introduced her as Elizabeth and she had said in quite a demanding voice she be called Libby. Her daddy had chuckled and winked at her, and she felt her heart melt for him right at that moment. He then introduced himself as Alex Banks, Libby smiled some more at him, she wasn’t the type to make instant enemies, but he had sort of scared her a little with his approach. “Am sure pleased to meet ya then Alex.” She wondered if she should hold her hand out for him to shake, but then decided that was a pretty adult thing to do and they weren’t adults, so she stopped herself.
Then what Alex had said about Eros Cupid went through her head, and she couldn’t help but ask the next question. “So, why do they call ya Eros Cupid? I mean, it’s kinda funny ain’ it?” Libby giggled a little then, but stopped, just in case she upset him, “Am sorry, I shouldn’ laugh at ya.” Alex then went into a little more detail about where he was from; she opened her eyes wide, finding it difficult to believe. She was sure glad she was in this time and not the time Alex was from. When he said it wasn’t a future worth living for, she could understand. “Well, it sounds horrible, I don’ wanna live in a future like tha’.” Then Alex said he met this person and he drew Libby on the table wearing a superhero outfit and controlling the weather. “Well, as ya can see, I ain’ no superhero, but I sure control the weather, ain’ as good at it as ma daddy righ’ now, but he says I’ll get as good as him when am older, I ain’ so sure though.” She had no idea where that all came rambling out from, but suddenly Libby felt more at ease, and she stopped fiddling around with her phone, she realised she no longer felt the need to keep it close to her.
Then Alex said he guessed fate wanted her to help him save the world, this made her gasp slightly, and her eyes opened wide again, she leaned forward, so she was closer to him. “Me? Ya gotta be kiddin’ me righ’? Am jus’ a ten year old girl, wha’ can I do? Besides, I sure don’ think ma daddy would approve of me goin’ anywhere.” She didn’t mean to be rude about it, and she hoped she wasn’t, but the truth was, other than when she was at school, her daddy had hardly let her out of his sight, other than when he was going through his emotional time over the break up with Stacey, something, which had upset Libby, who had needed counselling to get over it. Alex then agreed that she wasn’t his other friend who he had first thought she was and then he continued to talk telling her all about his powers. So he was able to copy other special’s powers. “So, if ya were to connect with me, although I ain’ sure I know wha’ ya mean by connect with the heart, ya’d be able to take ma power an’ all?” She couldn’t help but wonder when he said connect with the heart, if he meant by loving someone, if that was the case, was he going to love her like her daddy did? It didn’t sound like a weird thing, she figured it would be easy to love a friend; she had loved her best friend before she’d moved to Las Vegas.
Alex then added that he wasn’t used to how the guys acted in this time and he was sorry if he scared her. Well she had felt a little uncomfortable, but now she had come right out of it, and felt quite comfortable with Alex and was enjoying their conversation, even if it had turned a little weird at some point, Libby really couldn’t see herself being the sort of person to go off saving the world. “Tha’s alrigh’, yer apology is accepted, kinda was a while ago now. So, are we gonna be friends then? Cause I ain’ got no friends, an’ think it’d be rather nice.”

Imagining how Libby must have felt after now taking a step back and seeing his actions threw another s eyes. Alex knew that he came about this the wrong way and felt bad for confusing the girl. He himself was lost as to what was going on. She just looked so much like his Friend the two could be twins. But that would be impossible as they live in different times. Alex didn't know how the girl in front of him thought about him. She must have been thinking that he was a bit odd. Alex decided not to talk to crazy for now. He knew how people of this time viewed future talk and the things in which happened to lead up to that.
Libby told Alex that she wasn't Psyche, even going as far as apologizing for looking like her. Alex shook his head. "No no no you cant help it if you look like her or not." He said with a chuckle. "I'm happy you look like her, I can see her face in yours, you relay do look much alike your both so pretty." He told her adding in a complement. After she gave her name Alex knew he had the right girl now. The girl he drew on the table dressed like a hero. "Libby, I like it." He repeated. She told him after he introduced himself that she was pleased to meet him. Alex smiled brightly "Really!" He shouted all excited that she was happy to have met him. Or from the word 'pleased' he took it as happy. "I'm glad because well I'm not good at first impressions when it comes to people my own age. The adults seem to like me allot but I can never connect well with people my own age." Alex had to admit.
Sure the boy had loads of Friends and was extremely popular in his time being somewhat of a celebrity known across the city because of his prophecy. But there were many who hated him because of the special training he received and the higher ranked masters to guide him. The attention riled up allot of the other kids. Alex just tried to do the best that he could and learn as much as he could in terms of combat and strategy. He has never relay learned people skills. It seemed after Alex had told Libby his god name she thought it was kinda funny and asked about it. Alex didn't know how to go about telling her. He didn't want to go into to much detail and confuse her.
"Well in my time some of the kids are given a secondary name that we use in war. There usually names of biblical themes or religions as a symbol and to Honor are history. A special with the ability to see into the souls of people and can tell there personalities and future names the kid after that. So this lady saw that I will one day bring love to this world of war. I was named after cupid because my destiny revolves around love and kindness of the hart. Even my power depicts that. My mothers love for me is what kept me alive. They were going to kill me because I was able to copy powers. Thats a forbidden ability were I'm from. But after they killed me so many times and my mom kept bringing me back to life with her power they decided that they would let me live and called me the next saint." He explained.
She said she didn't want to live in a future like the one Alex described. Alex agreed he didn't want to live there just as bad. "I'm trying to fix it so the future wont be like that. I want to make it a happy place were we can look forward to. But I need to find out what events to change in order to make that happen. Right now I don't know what caused the future to be the way it is. If I knew I will be able to fix it." He informed Libby. After that Libby described that she can control the weather and also told Alex that shes no hero. Alex gave her a glare. "I can tell that you don't believe in yourself and are filled with self doubt that you can save the world. A man who is very important to you has had a great emotional loss and its taken a toll on your hart. You feel bad for this man and wish there was some way to make it right again. Back to normal?" Alex blurted out reading her emotions.
He wanted to let her know that she didn't have to hide behind a wall or anything. That she could feel free to tell Alex anything because he could most likely already have known what was going on based on her feelings about the subject. "Listen Libby, your more special then you can guess. You have a pure hart and even though your power isn't as good as your dads your hart beats just as strong. Use it to fuel your actions and you'll be a hero in no time. I bet if you hold my hand and try to use your ability it will be just as good as your dads, I'll show you what your capable of." Alex told her extending his hand to her. He wanted her to try this with him. If she can gain the confidence of becoming a hero then she might help Alex save the world. All she had to do was take Alex's hand and use her ability Alex was planing on supercharging her.
After Alex told her about fate and wanting her to help him she replied with a negative reaction. Saying that she was only ten and that her dad wouldn't let her go. She wasn't rude but more like scared or shocked it seemed. Alex put his head down sort of sulking. "Were I come from were trained to be solders even at these young ages, we have to try to do something. I... I don't want the world to be filled with hate and blood. I want to make it so the world unites with love and smiles. You can help me change it. I just know if we work together we can change it. I cant do it alone." He informed her. Pleading for help.
Later on Alex told her of his powers. She questioned what connect with the hart meant. "Well I can read peoples emotions and sometimes feel what they feel. My power will either copy the ability of a person who feels as strongly as I am feeling over something no matter what it is or what emotion were both feeling at the time. Normally its threw love for each other because that emotion is one i relate to the best." He described his powers to her. "I can only copy powers not take them away. But yeah if we love each other even as brother and sister I will be able to control the weather also." Alex felt her emotions shift and she was more calm now. Maybe she had gotten used to him as she stated that it was OK the way he acted.
She even wanted to be Friends telling she didn't have any and that it would be nice. Alex gave her a small hug. "I'll always be your Friend." He told her tears in his eyes, He didn't know why but he could be such a baby at times. He was crying because he felt bad she didn't have any Friends and that she wanted to be Friends with Alex. "Nobody should go without Friends. Friends keep you grounded even when your life seems like its in outer space." He told her meaning that they will get your back and comfort you even when life becomes hectic and crazy like outer space.

{ooc - okay before everything went weird - I still would have taken ages to reply to this - so I'm sorry for the delay}
After Libby said she wasn’t his friend Psyche and apologised for looking like her, Alex said she didn’t need to apologise and she couldn’t help looking like his friend. She gave him a smile then, and then he went on to say he was glad she looked like his friend, that he could see her face in Libby’s and that they were both really pretty. Libby felt herself blush a little then, even for ten years old, getting compliments like that from a guy other than your father or uncle, could make you blush terribly. She struggled to find her words then, “Well, tha’s real nice of ya to say so.” She finally said, feeling her face really hot. Libby had then gave Alex her name, and he said he liked it, “Yeah, I like it better than Elizabeth even though tha’s ma name, I jus’ prefer to be called Libby.” Libby had then said she was pleased to meet him after he introduced himself, his reaction left her somewhat bemused, after all she was only being polite when she said what she said. The fact he was from a different future must explain his reactions she thought. She was about to answer him when he spoke some more, “Well, guess ya must’a made a good impression on me then.” Libby gave him a brighter smile, either that, of Libby was just too easily pleased what with only being a young girl with no real friends to call her own.
Libby had then asked Alex about why he was called Eros Cupid, and when he replied, she listened to everything he said about it. When Alex said they had killed him many times and his mom kept bringing him back to life, her eyes went wide open. “I don’ believe anybody could do tha’ to someone else.” However, it brought back memories of when Libby found her mom dead in the house, and although they had tried to keep information from her, she wasn’t silly she knew something had happened. Maybe someone had killed her mom on purpose, but why? Libby felt fresh tears well up in her eyes at the thought and memory, but tried her best to bite them back, not wanting to cry in front of Alex. She wiped at her eyes, wanting to tell Alex why she had got upset, but didn’t think she’d be able to talk about it, so stayed quiet.
After Libby had said she didn’t want to live in a future like the one he had just mentioned, Alex said he was trying to fix it, but had to find out what went wrong to fix it. This confused Libby slightly because, how would he ever be able to find out what went wrong? “But how would ya even know where to start, if ya don’ know wha’ to fix?” Libby asked Alex, she couldn’t help herself, she was just confused and wanted to find out how they could fix the future, if they didn’t know what to fix in the first place. Libby had then told Alex she could control the weather, but she was no hero, all she meant by that was, she wasn’t one of these people who tried to heal the world with her power wearing a superhero suit. However, Alex must have taken her the wrong way, as he glared at her, and when he spoke, she couldn’t help but look away for a few seconds as he spoke about her emotions and what she was feeling at that point. She looked up at him with sad eyes, not only was the memory of her mom flooding her head before, now the memory of what her daddy had gone through was flooding her as well.
“Yeah, ma daddy was in love, or so he thought, the woman who was supposed to be havin’ his baby, turned out the baby wasn’ his an’ so they fell outta love, but it sure left me in a bit of a mess, thought it was ma fault fer a while. I had to go see a therapist at school an’ everythin’. An’ I don’ think I could fix it if I tried. But I meant I ain’ no hero cause I ain’ got no superhero suit like ya were talkin’ abou’ afore.” Libby tried to explain what she had meant, but now she was upset again, at having to think about what her daddy had gone through and now there were more fresh tears in her eyes again. When Libby found her mom dead, she thought she had no family left, and then the discovery she had a father after all and a bigger family she never knew existed turned the young girl’s world upside down.
Alex then started going on about her being more special than she knew, and she had a pure heart, she was to fuel her actions and be a hero in no time. What if she didn’t want to be a hero? What if she just wanted to be a normal school girl, having a normal life? Then she realised that would never happen, there was nothing normal about a ten year old girl with an incredible ability to change the weather with a flick of her hand or change of her emotions. “I dunno Alex; it’s a very different world yer in now ya know. I got school to go to ya know? I ain’ like where yer from.” Alex then told her to hold his hand, she had no idea why she was to do this, but he mentioned something about her ability being just as good as her daddy’s and he didn’t seem like a bad boy, so what harm could it do? She put her small hand into his and then closed her eyes, wondering what was going to happen. Then without warning, without even trying very hard, Libby felt something touch her nose, she opened her eyes to see it was snowing around the both of them. “Oh my god, I ain’ ever been able to do tha’ afore.” She had made the sun shine and when upset, she had caused a snow storm, even a thunder storm, but just gently making it snow, so that it glistened around them, she had never done that before.
She took a quick look around and saw that people were watching, so she soon thought of the sun, which would give immense heat, and soon the snow was all gone, and anything which had been wet, was now completely dry. She was still getting looks though. “Maybe we shouldn’a done tha’ in here, we’re gettin’ some weird looks. I’d suggest leavin’ but ma daddy will wonder where I am if he comes an’ I ain’ here ya know?” She let go of Alex’s hand then; that was enough of controlling the weather for now when indoors. Libby had then explained again about her age, and that her daddy might not like it if she were to suddenly just keep disappearing different places. She could tell from the look on Alex’s face he wasn’t too happy though and he seemed to be sulking. He then started going on about how they’re trained to be soldiers in his time, well as she had pointed out previously, that was in his time. “Well, it’s different now Alex, ya gotta understand tha’.” She sighed then, “I don’ wan’ the world to be like ya said either, but, I jus’ dunno, I gotta think of ma daddy, I ain’ wanna be upsettin’ him, not when he’s jus’ gettin’ over the loss of a woman he loved an’ a baby.” Part of her wanted to help Alex, just so she would have a friend, but the other part of her couldn’t stop thinking about what her daddy would say if she just started disappearing and doing all these heroic type things. Maybe if she explained to her daddy, he might not be against the idea, in fact, maybe he might want to help too.
She slowly began to nod her head, “Alrigh’ then, but ya gotta let me speak to ma daddy abou’ it all, I ain’ jus’ gonna go disappearin’ on him whenever ya wanna go somewhere, an’ ya never know, he migh’ wanna help an’ all, jus’ to keep his eye on us more than anythin’ else.” Libby’s words sounded so grown up then, but she knew if she just suddenly started going off places, he would worry about her and wonder where she was. Her daddy’s ability was much stronger than her own, so he’d be in a better position to fight anybody off if need be.
Libby had then asked Alex what he meant by his connect to the heart statement, so he then went into an explanation of it all, which interested and intrigued Libby. “So ya wanna be like brother an’ sister?” She asked in an excited voice, because now that she was no longer going to have a baby brother or sister which she had been hoping for when Stacey said she was pregnant, the idea of Alex becoming like a brother was very sweet. She didn’t mind if Alex could then copy her ability, it didn’t look like he was going to use it for evil doings, looking at him, she didn’t think he could ever be evil, he looked too nice, but then her daddy had told her, not to trust everyone who looks nice, they might not be all they seem. But Libby reckoned she was alright with Alex.
When Libby then asked if he wanted to be friends, he gave her a small hug, which made her giggle slightly, and she hugged him back a little. “Tha’s good then, cause I think I’d like ya to be ma friend.” Libby saw the tears in Alex’s eyes, and because of all the emotion which she had been going through already while talking to him, her own tears finally began to fall, for the loss of her mom, for her daddy who lost his fiancée and supposed baby, and for herself, for finally having found someone she could call a friend.

The pale white skin of the little girls face turned a rose red. Alex felt like maybe he shouldn't have told her she was pretty but he just couldn't help himself. He didn't think that she would blush or feel like it was a comment in any romantic way. He just said what he felt like all the things he says without thinking first. Alex felt a wave of warmth coming off of her. He was glad but didn't show it much. A small grin was all that he presented to her. She told him that it was nice of him to say such a thing. Alex had always been considered nice. To nice to be more blunt. But he always had a nice personality and felt like it was just natural to be nice to others. "I was sure you must have allot of people call you pretty. I didn't want to make your cheeks turn red." He confronted her on this. But he still had that little smile on. He was always smiling.
"Elizabeth is nice though, It means my God is abundance. So you should be proud of it." Alex informed Her. Alex was so happy he couldn't contain himself when Libby told him that he made a good impression on her. With her bright smile Alex shot one right back at her. "Really?" He asked all excited and happy with bright wide eyes. He was so happy he didn't know what to do or say at this point. Alex told Libby that he was called Eros, Libby in return asked why and Alex continued to tell her about his future. Libby told him that she didn't think anyone could act like that, the way Alex described. Alex nodded his head. "The future is nothing like it is today. I wish I could be able to save everyone there." The little hero told her. But he knew that he needed some help and it was Libby who he wanted to help him with this task of his.
Alex felt Libbie's pain and sadness of her mothers death. He felt her starting to cry as if it had happened to Alex himself. He looked at her in shock. Alex gave her a comforting hug. "I'm so sorry, Your pain..... Its just to much. You don't have to say a word. I know. My mom is gone to." Alex told Libby backing away from her. Libby asked how he was spoused to know what to change in the future. Alex knew of a myth going around in his future that would allow a sudden answer to his quest. "The elders all keep a journal filled with forbidden information in it. I'm guessing its the last history book of my time. With this book they must have written the events that took place to lead up to what happened." Alex answered. He would have to go into the future and steal the book to find out what happened and change each event.
As Libby told him she wasn't a hero it was true that Alex grew upset. But he just didn't want her to think she couldn't do anything. She was strong even if she didn't know it. The power Alex had ran much deeper then that of a special. He was a child of prophecy and he was determined to save the world one way or another. If Libby was on his side then he felt like his chances would be better to reach his goal. More feelings of sadness came from Libby Alex knew she suffered great loss in her life and at such a young age it was hard to deal with. Alex wanted to help her but didn't want to overstep his boundaries. He needed her to believe in herself. Alex gave her a look of determination. Using his abilities of Pathokinesis he shifted her emotions slightly easing the pain she once had and filling her body with confidence and strength. Normally Alex didn't like messing with peoples emotions but he felt like this time was ok. Libby shouldn't have to suffer anymore then she already had.
Alex tried to give her a motivating speech to get her to join him. However Libby just didn't want to. She seemed like she just wanted to be normal. Alex wondered why he would have drawn her if not to help with his plan to save the world. Could there be another reason? Maybe that was it. Libby wasn't spoused to help him save the world however she was meant to help Alex save himself. To act like a normal kid and have Friends and go to school. To live with his abilities and be free from all the mess of the future. Alex thought about it but he couldn't abandon the people in his time. He now had mixed feelings about what he was going to do.
After Alex used his ability to supercharge Libbie's weather manipulation Libby made it gently snow. Alex smiled as he felt the cold tip tapping on his skin. "See, You have it in you to do amazing things. This is amazing Libby." He told the young girl as he looked at what she created. People started to stair and talk under there breath. Normal kids stunned by what happened and some staff members adults were freaked out. Libby let go of Alex's hand but Alex quickly noticed allot of the looks around the room of fear. So he grabbed her hand again and rewond the time around them. It seemed as if they never did anything with there abilities. "People cant find out about what we can do. My Friend Lydia said that there are people who would fear us and hate us for are powers." Alex told Libby informing her of the hardships.
Libby seemed conflicted with the idea of helping Alex. He wanted her to stand by his side and be apart of a team with him however she seemed like she didn't want to. Then after some time had passed she spoke again. She told him that she would ask her dad. Alex shook her head. "No I understand that You don't want to go and I think it would be better if you stayed here. I'm not sure why but I think I misread my picture I drew. Maybe your not spoused to go into the future with me. Maybe theres another reason or another way that you become a hero." Alex informed her. Libby just didn't seem like the kind of persona that would go and fight bad guys or leave the ones she cared about behind. Alex could tell who she was just by standing near her. "Your a lover not a fighter. Maybe your role in all this is to remind me to stay like that. To believe in the power of love and kindness and to help the world in that way." Alex then stated.
Libby had asked Alex if he wanted to be like brother and sister. Alex didn't know what to say. It seemed like Libby was so lonely that she needed someone there for her. Alex nodded his head. She told him that she wanted to be his friend. Alex smiled "I think that we could be best friends." Alex replied as the two shared tears Alex went in for another hug. In that moment he gained the ability Libby had. Alex didn't notice but he didn't care about the power. He was just happy he had found a friend. "I want you to stay in this time. Be there for your dad and help him. I'll go to the future but promise me that you'll wait for me when I get back."

{ooc - OMG Rocky - that post of Alex's gave me tears in my eyes, no joke!}
Libby didn’t know why she had gotten such a red face when Alex told her that she was pretty, it wasn’t as if she hadn’t heard it from her daddy and uncle Grayson often enough, hearing it from another boy just seemed different to her, although she knew that he was only saying it as a friend, it still hadn’t stopped her face from going red. She felt really stupid now, so when Alex spoke to her saying he hadn’t meant to make her go red and he was sure plenty of people had told her she was pretty, she began to giggle. “Ma daddy an’ uncle Grayson say it all the time, but it jus’ sounded real nice comin’ from ya, cause yer a boy. Don’ worry I ain’ takin’ it the wrong way or nothin’ am jus’ glad I’ve got a friend now.” The last thing Libby wanted was to make her new friend feel uncomfortable because he thought she had taken his words the wrong way, she blushed when her daddy and Uncle Gray called her pretty as well. “It ain’ jus yerself, I blush even when ma daddy an’ Uncle Gray say it, so don’ worry.” She grinned at him then before beginning to giggle a little.
Alex then told her that Elizabeth was nice and what it meant and she should be proud of it, “I guess, but I jus’ prefer Libby, so please don’ call me anythin’ else, ma mom was the only person to call me Elizabeth, don’ think I could bear anyone else callin’ me it.” She hoped it didn’t come out wrong or in a bad way, but she just knew if anybody called her by her full name she would just get upset, she had even got her teachers at school to call her Libby, after her daddy Brendan had gone into the school and explained why it was so important to her. The only time she ever wanted to hear her name in full again would be the day she was getting married and she knew that was a long, long way off yet.
“Yeah, really, so quit worryin’ already.” Libby took after Brendan so much at times it was scary, there was no denying she was his daughter, she looked like him, even had a dimple, and she acted like him and spoke like him, hell she even had the same ability as him, there was absolutely no denying the fact. She was grinning at Alex though, ever since the whole thing had come about between her daddy and Stacey it was the first time Libby had honestly been this happy without it being forced. Alex was the friend she so needed. Maybe they needed each other. Alex then spoke more about the future saying he wished he could save everyone there. “Well, maybe ya migh’ be able to, ya jus’ need to find the righ’ people.” Libby wasn’t sure if she was the right person to get involved in it, even though a part of really wanted to help Alex.
However, Libby still wasn’t aware of just how Alex’s power worked, so when she had been worrying over telling him about her mother, she soon heard him say he was sorry for her pain and she felt him hugging her. The hug definitely felt good and Libby felt a bit better and the tears began to subside again. “Thanks fer the hug.” Libby had a feeling that she and Alex were going to have a very strong friendship, one which would hopefully last for a very long time. “Sorry about yer mom.” Libby had to say it, she couldn’t just ignore the fact he told her he had lost his mom as well, so they had that in common. Alex then backed away from the hug, and Libby finally managed to compose herself, but she still felt a lot of pain over the death of her mom, and finding her, after all it was only just over four months ago, not a long time for a young girl to get over something so horrific.
Libby had then asked Alex how he was supposed to change the future if he didn’t know how to change it, and he began speaking about a book. “Well I sure hope it has the information ya need, cause there ain’ nothin’ anybody can do unless we know where to start ya know?” Libby wasn’t sure she was the type of person to get involved in some sort of war, but she did know that she didn’t want to live in a future like the one Alex described and if she was supposed to help him change it, then she would just have to do what she could.
All of a sudden Libby began to feel somewhat a bit better as the sadness seemed to lift from her and she wasn’t sure why but she liked not having the darkness of it around her, she figured Alex had something to do with it, but decided not to say anything, instead she just smiled at him. Alex had then tried giving a motivational speech, but she still wasn’t too sure. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to help, more that she wasn’t sure she could, or how to. They might have powers, but they were still only children, how much could both of them really do? However she kept that thought to herself, if Alex really wanted her to help then she would.
The next thing to happen made Libby quite excited when Alex had taken her hand and she’d made it snow lightly and this time without causing it through her emotions, just by doing it. She was unaware of Alex giving her the help with his supercharge power however. He then told her she could do amazing things, and the light snow was amazing. “Yeah yer righ’ Alex, sorry I was so unsure afore.” No doubt her daddy would have taught her how to use her ability more when she got older, but this was great. It wasn’t long after that she started getting weird looks and Libby had said that maybe they shouldn’t have done what they did indoors and so she had dropped Alex’s hand. However, Alex soon grabbed her hand again and Libby saw everything they had done go back the way really fast and Alex told her they couldn’t find out about them and their powers, he had basically turned back time.
“Now tha’s kinda cool.” Libby said in a soft voice so nobody could hear what she had just said and then Libby decided to tell Alex she would help but she would have to ask her daddy first so that he would know not to worry if she just suddenly disappeared, she was actually thinking if she told him, he might actually help. Alex then said no. Explaining tha the read his picture wrong and she was better in this time. She frowned slightly, “I don’ understand, ya seemed like ya really wanted me to help an’ when I finally say I will ya tell me to say?” Libby might have been in a bit of conflict over whether to help Alex or not, but now she was confused as to why he was telling her no. He then went on to say that maybe her purpose was to help him be more like she was; a lover and not a fighter. Well she certainly hadn’t thought of herself as a fighter, but she would have helped him if he had really wanted it.
Libby had then asked if Alex wanted to be like brother and sister, only because she didn’t have any siblings, and she felt she could love Alex as a brother, she wasn’t sure how he would have felt about that, but she then added she wanted to be his friend and smiled. When Alex replied saying he thought they could be best friends Libby gave the brightest most genuine smile. “I ain’ ever had a best friend afore.” Libby had then begun to cry with all the emotion coming out of her over the past few months, although her tears were a mixture of sadness and happiness. Alex had then given her another hug and for a brief second she could have sworn she felt a little different, maybe Alex had finally been able to absorb her power, but she didn’t care, she knew he would do good with it and that was all that mattered.
When Alex spoke again he told her he wanted her to stay in this time, she was to be there for her dad and help him, but she was to promise him she would wait for him when he got back. She grinned, “I ain’ gonna go nowhere, not when I got a friend who needs me, I would’a helped ya though, if ya’d really wanted me to, but I’ll always be yer friend, an’ when ya need me, ya’ll know where to find me.” Libby then quickly wrote her address down on a piece of paper from the book she had been reading earlier and handed him it over with a huge smile.
