Sky was thoroughly stuck on the case that he and the other detectives at the precinct were investigating at the time. The killer that they were tracking was proving to be just so elusive. According to the data they had, he was the perfect guy to commit a crime - average build, short brown hair, blue eyes, no distinguishing features. About the most average looking guy in the world.
Sky needed to clear his head for a while, he had been spending long hours at the precinct working lately, and he wasn't thinking straight anymore since he had been over their data so many times. So he had made his way into downtown Washington D.C. to wander around and poke around some of the national monuments there; it was usually a good way to unwind, clear his head, and hey, maybe he'd get some burst of inspiration.
After rambling around for a while, Sky located the National Archives and decided to wander into there for a bit. He couldn't see the details of the documents, of course, but the tour guides there often had stuff to say, and it was just the feeling of being there. It was cool.
After Sky made it through the metal detector, he started wandering through the National Archives, finding himself lurking quietly at the back of a tour group. It was pretty crowded, and Sky was starting to get a little disoriented because he couldn't determine where anything was. Then he felt someone jostle him and he stepped backwards to catch himself, but he felt himself step on someone's foot.
"Damn," he mumbled, turning his head to face the person - a guy, he was able to determine by focusing for a moment on the image he sensed with his echolocation. "Sorry about that, didn't want to fall over."

Demetrius was a part of this one tour. He didn’t pay for the tour, but he just randomly stumbled across them. He was always intrigued about what these crack heads (yes he called tour people crack heads) had to say about these things. He wondered if any of it had change. Probably not. Oh well, he would always be the one who would always annoy them. He had this thing about always correcting people with history. Some say that he was a history buff, but it wasn’t his fault that he seen history.
History was one of his favorite things and he loved to correct people. Shame he would have made a great history teacher, but he ended up a surgeon. Perhaps he couldn’t see himself talking in front of students. He rather be cutting up someone rather than speaking in front of a large or small crowd. Okay he did that while teaching interns how to become surgeons, but that was different. Demetrius wasn’t paying much attention as all of sudden someone had stepped on his foot. He felt it, but didn’t get all dramatized over it.
He acted cool and sensed that he was dealing with a blind guy. Now that was interesting. He had never dealt with one before. “Oh no worries” Demetrius said with a smile. Demetrius didn’t know why he would smile for the guy, but he was being polite. “We all get a bit clumsy at times” he decided to point out hoping not to offend the guy.

Sky was only really half-listening to the tour guide that he had just sort of happened to come across. He caught a few snatches of what the guide was saying, but he was focusing on using his echolocation to sense as much of the actual documents as he could. If Sky focused all his attention on one thing and didn't let his concentration break at all, then he could sometimes get a better "mental image" in his head of whatever he was focusing on.
Even though it had been several years since Sky had become blind and his ability had manifested, he was still occasionally discovering different aspects of his ability. Like, he had only discovered recently that he could sense more if he focused really hard. He didn't do that too frequently though, as it tended to give him a headache.
Sky's concentration was broken as he was jostled and he accidentally stepped on the guy's foot. Fortunately, the guy seemed entirely unconcerned - Sky could hear the smile in his voice as he assured Sky it was all right. "Yeah, there's just a lot of people in here, someone just shoved into me," he explained sheepishly. "I'm Sky," he added.

Demetrius also wasn’t really paying attention to the tour guide at hand. All he heard was blah blah. Of course, with his superhuman hearing he could hear that the tour guide was trying eager less to make the group that he had stumbled across become interesting in the tour. However, the college boy was really doing badly. Perhaps he could teach the boy a lesson on history. Though that wouldn’t be great or would it?
Ignoring the fact that he wanted to teach the tour guide to become more enthusiastic about telling tourist about the history of Washington. He had focused on the task of hand as his foot had been stepped on. It was by someone – who he could sense was blind. This of course was no worries to him as someone might have just. Well, his thoughts were interrupted by the blind guy. Someone had shoved him.
“Typical of Washington especially eighth graders running around” he said with a slight chuckle. “It was probably an eighth grader that shoved you to get to his or her friends, they do that” he said shaking his head. “Demetrius,” he said introducing himself. “Pleasure to met you Sky” he said as he held out his hand in front of the guy, hoping he could see a bit of his hand as he wanted to shake it.
