Wednesday 18th November, 2009 It had been an alright day for Libby so far and she was in a much brighter mood than she had been the past couple of months. She had taken her daddy and Stacey’s break up quite badly feeling she was to blame, even though she was told she wasn’t. She had been to see a therapist at school and she made good friends with him, David Callaghan. He was so nice to her, and within a couple of sessions with him, she felt things were better. Then her daddy began to feel better about things as well, plus she had Uncle Grayson. Uncle Grayson was fantastic, the two of them were as thick as thieves, and they just hit it off from the moment she had met him. The bond with Grayson was even more instantaneous than it was with her own daddy, but she loved them both equally. The school staff was having a meeting for reasons they wouldn’t give out, so the school got away three hours earlier than planned. Not that it bothered Libby, it just meant more time with Uncle Gray, so she just had to hope that he was actually at home, because she had no key to get into the house. Well, if he wasn’t in she would just have to make her way to the youth center instead. Uncle Gray often collected her from the school, but with them getting away earlier, with no real warning, he wouldn’t know, so Libby made her way home. Within about ten minutes, as the school wasn’t far from where she lived, she came bounding in the first door with a burst of energy, thankful that her Uncle Gray hadn’t gone out, and then dumped her schoolbag in the hallway and immediately ran into the living room and jumping on the sofa, wrapping her arm around his middle and giving him a hug. She then shifted herself slightly, so that her head was lying on his lap, and she put her arm up to behind his neck and began playing with the back of his hair. She loved the fact Uncle Gray had long hair like her daddy, she loved playing with it for some reason. “Afore ya ask, got away early from school, some teacher’s meetin’ or somethin’.” She then giggled, knowing full well she sounded so grown up, then wanting to make general conversation with her Uncle Gray as you do, she thought she would ask him what he thought of her daddy’s new woman. Libby didn’t really know her well enough yet, but she seemed to make him happy, and if she was making him happy then that was all that mattered. “Wha’ d’ya think of Melody then Uncle Gray? I think she’s real nice, jus’ hope daddy don’ get his heart broken again tha’s all.” Libby sighed, and then realised it wasn’t too long until her birthday; she was going to be eleven. “D’ya think we’ll be havin’ a party fer ma birthday next month Uncle Gray?” She then sat up from laying on his lap, feeling somewhat a bit bored, she should have still been at school after all, and they had given them no homework to do. The weather wasn’t too bad, as with the State of Nevada, even in the autumn and winter months, it was still warmer than a lot of the other States. She sighed, and then looked up at the ceiling for a second and then back to Grayson. “Am bored, d’ya wanna play hide n seek with me Uncle Gray, please?” She asked him with batted eyelashes, not that she needed to do that, Gray was so besotted with her , he did virtually anything for her, Libby had him wrapped around her little finger.

Just another perfect day in Vegas. The sun was shining, the Canucks Ice Hockey match was on, and Grayson had a six pack of beers by his side. Only one thing was missing, and that was a beautiful woman. As much as he was thrilled with having a family, a proper family, there was something missing. He knew what it was, anyone older than eighteen knew what it was. For now, he was settling in with Brendan, his older brother, someone whom he looked up to despite having been an 'only child' for most of his life. Then there was Debbie, his twinny who lived in New York with her partner. Gray had made sure to set aside sometime after Christmas to go and see her. And then there was his pride and joy, Libby, there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for that kid. Libby was almost like a daughter to him, despite this, he enjoyed being Uncle Gray rather than Daddy Gray, he didn't think he could cope with that yet.
So far, Grayson's day hadn't been productive. He was going to work on his Orange County Chopper, which he was completely rebuilding from scratch; new framework, new leathers, handlebars, lights, paintwork, custom dials and all the rest of it. He was half way done now, but it still needed a lot of work. His Triumph, or his 'baby' was perfect the way she was. Despite hoping to work on the bike he took Libby to school this morning, and found out the Maple Leafs (Canucks) were playing this afternoon he decided to have a lazy day. After the game he was somewhat looking forward to going to pick Libby up from school, it meant he could do some flirting with the hot young mom's, he just had to make sure he didn't do it in front of Libs. She hated it when he did that. Gray couldn't help but smile at the thought, she was such a jealous little soul.
Gray cracked open another beer with his teeth, spitting the bottle cap into the bowl on the coffee table. He had his feet up on the table, with one arm stretched across the back of the leather sofa. A part of him loved living like this, but another part realised, it wasn't his. None of it was his. It was Brendan's. Despite having his own room, which was like a massive apartment in itself, he felt like he hadn't achieved anything, like it was all for nothing. He sighed heavily, realising that trip to New York might be taken a couple weeks earlier than planned. He would do a road trip, taking only a heavy rucksack. At that moment, Gray pulled out his phone and set New Year's Eve as the day he would leave Vegas.
The front door slammed, Gray looked up, gulping down the mouthful of beer in his mouth. He kept looking and realised it was probably one of the cleaners, the house was so damn big you didn't who was in it ever really. But before he knew it, he felt a little body dive on to the sofa and wrap an arm around his stomach. "Jeebus Libs! Nearly gave me a damn heart attack!" He put his beer bottle down and sighed, but before she could get upset over it, he grinned and tickled her hips. He then picked up his beer bottle again and downed it before getting distracted by Libby putting her head in his lap and playing with his hair. He coughed uncomfortably. "I miss my stubble Libs, but I did get your teacher's number outta goin' to yer parent's evenin' thing, so guess there's somethin'!" He grinned at her and rubbed his chin, now as soft as a baby's bottom.
"Teacher meetin' eh? Probably discussin' how impressed they were with ya Uncle, an' who wants to go on a date with me first." Grayson chuckled to himself and leaned back into the sofa, yawning loudly. Libby then brought up Melody, Brendan's 'new' woman. He sighed deeply. "To be honest Libs, I have no idea. He's been with wha', three women in the past few months? I mean he's jumpin' inta relationships quicker than ya can say buckle up sonny," Grayson rubbed the back of his neck then, "But I don' wanna see him be hurt either darlin', we're jus' gonna hafta wait." He looked at the final score for the Maple Leafs and smiled, guess his day was brightening up. "Ya know I used to play Ice Hockey Libs?" He nudged her and smiled warmly.
Libby then brought up the topic of her birthday, something Gray had been planning with Brendan. "Well Libs, you'll jus' hafta wait and see sweetheart. I don' wanna ruin anythin'. But it's gonna be fantastic." He just couldn't tell her he was leaving the day after, she would be heartbroken. Libby then sat up from his lap making Gray relax once again. She moved her eyes around before settling back on Gray who smiled at her. She asked if he wanted to play hide and seek. "Hide and Seek Libs? I haven' played tha' fer years!" He wasn't feeling necessarily active enough to go outside and play with her, but when she battered her eyelids at him he sighed and nodded. "Well, sure why not? Just make sure ya put a hoodie or somethin' on, I'll go get ma jacket."
Grayson got up, carrying the four other beers back up to his room. He placed them in the mini fridge before grabbing his hoodie and leather jacket. As he put it on, he felt the carton in his chest pocket and immediately grinned. He pulled his zippo lighter from his bedside cabinet and placed it in his jeans before running back downstairs to the garden. He pushed open one of the many set of doors and stood on the patio, staring out at the massive garden ahead of him. He pulled out a cigarette from the carton in his pocket and lit it with his zippo. He blew the smoke upwards and closed his eyes, before shouting back in to the house. "C'mon Libs!"

{ooc - took me long enough - sorry Romz - just over a week - not like me, but not been well, but no doubt you aren't too worried about the length it's taken me anyways lol}
Libby hadn’t meant to come crashing into the house the way she had, but she was just excited about the prospect of seeing Uncle Gray again because they got on so well. So she had jumped onto the sofa and wrapped her arm around his middle giving him a slight hug. When Gray shouted that she had almost given him a damned heart attack she put on a slight petted lip, not that it lasted for long when he grinned and then tickled at her hips which made Libby laugh hysterically. “Don’ do tha’, it tickles too much.” She just about managed to get the words out between her fits of laughter. She then watched as he downed the rest of his beer, and then she lay down with her head on his lap and absentmindedly began to play with his hair, like she did with Brendan’s, for some reason she was fascinated with the fact they had slightly longer hair. She wasn’t even aware she was making her uncle feel uncomfortable. Gray then said he missed his stubble, but did get her teacher’s number so figured that was something. Libby wasn’t overly impressed with that, she was so jealous of another female being around her uncle. It was the strangest thing for a young girl to be so jealous of other women getting their uncle’s attention but Libby hated it. It was like Gray was her uncle and nobody else’s. Although she seemed to have no problem whatsoever with Gray spending time with her daddy Brendan.
“D’ya hafta chat up ma teachers? It’s embarrassin’ fer me.” However, she didn’t like coming across as the jealous little monster even if that’s the way she felt, so she laughed after it, but stopped playing with his hair, but remained laying across his lap looking up at him as then told him why she had gotten away from school early. Gray of course had to say the teacher’s meeting was probably about him and how he had impressed them and who wanted to go out with him first. Libby shook her head, “Don’ be silly, it’s somethin’ to do with a new indoor pool, cause righ’ now we hafta go to the local swimmin’ pool instead. An’ the teachers are gettin’ fed up with havin’ a lot of the students havin’ to leave the grounds fer somethin’ they could have themselves.” Libby explained, although she knew that Gray would continue to think it was about him, mind you she wouldn’t blame her female teachers if they were impressed with him, she was impressed with him and he was her uncle. She still found it hard to believe she had such a wonderful family she had never known existed until her mommy died. Libby had then asked Gray what he thought of her daddy’s new woman friend. Libby wasn’t too bothered about yet another woman in her life, she just wanted her daddy to be happy, when he was happy, she was happy.
She didn’t think her uncle was too impressed with the way her daddy had just jumped into another relationship, but it was still the early stages, it hadn’t taken him long to break up with Olivia, but then that was because he wasn’t really over Stacey at that point, he had told her that, and even though she was still only ten she had understood what he meant. She sighed, “Yeah, I guess so, I jus’ wan’ him to be happy tha’s all.” Gray then changed the subject by asking her if she knew he used to play Ice Hockey and nudged her. She shook her head, “Don’ think ya ever told me.” She knew it was quite a dangerous sport, so she sat up a bit, eyes wide, “Did ya ever get hurt or anythin’?” She hated to think of her uncle getting hurt, but she knew it could happen and it probably had years before she knew him, years before he knew this family existed. Maybe that’s why she and Gray were as close as they were, in a way they were both in similar situations when it came to the Harris family, neither of them knew they had another family, and none of the family knew about them, well apart from her Grams, she knew about her Uncle Gray.
When Libby then brought up her birthday, Gray just said that she would have to wait and see, she sighed, why wouldn’t they tell her anything? Although, surprises were good, she couldn’t deny that one. Like the massive Blue Nose Bear her daddy had bought her, she hadn’t expected to get it, only said she thought it was cute when she the advert on the television and then one day when she got home, it was sitting on her bed waiting for her. She had then went running down the stairs and threw her arms around Brendan giving him a huge hug for the bear, which resulted in Brendan picking her up and swinging her around and laughing, telling her she was welcome. “Well, surprises are fun I guess. Now I don’ think I can wait, it’s gonna be great havin’ a birthday with ma daddy an’ yerself, especially when this time last year, I didn’ even know I had a daddy never mind the rest of the family.” She loved belonging to the Harris family, there wasn’t one bad member in her eyes, they were all great, although she was a bit upset when she realised what her Grams had done in keeping Grayson a secret from the rest of the family. Even Libby knew that was wrong. She had then sat up feeling bored and asked him if he wanted to go and play hide n seek in the gardens. She had to giggle when he said he hadn’t played it in years, but luckily he said yeah and told her to go put a jacket or a hoodie on and he’d get his jacket. “Yer the best, ya know tha’?” She then watched as he went to his room, and Libby then followed him, she knew it was still fairly warm outside, so she didn’t think she would need a jacket, so instead grabbed one of her thicker cardigans and put that on instead.
She didn’t think she had taken that long, but she soon heard Gray shout for her to come on, so she ran out toward the patio doors and was soon beside him. She looked up at him, “I’ll go hide first yeah? Tha’ way ya can finish yer smoke afore I shout fer ya to come find me.” She grinned and then ran off to find somewhere to hide in the massive gardens. There were plenty of places to choose, because the garden had an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts as well as massive garden areas and trees and hedges. Being fairly small she chose to hide between a couple of the big trees toward the bottom end of the garden which was actually quite dark now, because it was so enclosed in. “Alrigh’ am ready now.” She shouted and then waited for Gray to find her, she wondered how long it would take him to realise where she was hiding.

"Embarrassin'? Naw, yer jus' jealous ain' tha' right darlin'?" Grayson chuckled, ruffling the top of her head slightly. Libby was fantastic, she was perfect in fact. When she grew up, she would be the bell of the ball. No-one would be able to outshine her. He sighed ever so softly, the back of his throat tickling. Despite the family he now had. Something was missing. He needed a woman, sure he had been out of a night in Vegas and had a one night stand or two. But it wasn't doing anything for him. Grayson was far from the relationship type, he enjoyed his freedom way too much. Relationships just seemed to muck things up; girls always wanted him to change, wanted him to stop smoking and drinking so much, not to mention his ability freaked a good few of them out as it was unleashed during... well ya know.
Gray could feel Libby staring at him, but didn't stare back down. He continued watching the game, even though his attention was else where. The girl shook her head immediately, the jealousy coming back making Gray chuckle again. "A swimmin' pool eh? That'll be good fer the kids righ'? Yer fine though, ya got everythin' here." Again his mind led onto other thoughts. It was so strange living in someone else's house. Even if it was his brother's. It wasn't the same, he hadn't earned it, he hadn't helped pay for it or anything. But a roof over his head was all he needed right now, until he went on the road. Another special lady popped into his head, Madison. He would have to see her soon. He missed the shit out of her. Not literally of course. Libby then brought up Brendan's 'new woman'. He groaned.
It didn't take him long to change the subject from women, he didn't think Libby needed to hear his honest to God opinion of women at this point. Especially the way Brendan went through them. He loved his brother, he wouldn't deny that, he just didn't see why he had thrown away two quite frankly perfect women. Bringing up the subject of Ice Hockey relaxed Gray slightly, he kind of missed playing. He noticed Libby sit up, her brilliant blue eyes widening slightly. "Yeah fuc.." He coughed appropriately. "Messed up ma knee, got a big scar down it from operation. But that was a number of things. Some guy in prison was well impressed." Gray laughed, then suddenly stopped, realising Libby never knew about his stint in prison. "Numb-nuts." He muttered to himself.
Libby seemed to stay positive however, bringing up her birthday. "Yeah Libs, it'll be great won't it?" He ruffled her hair again. It was going to be a family and friends do, everyone would be with their 'partners'. Gray sighed silently again. His birthday wasn't until August so at least he didn't have to worry about being twenty seven yet. Libby was most important right now though, not himself. The little girl sat up straight, asking Grayson if he wanted to play hide and seek. He couldn't say no to be honest, the game on TV was slow, and he was feeling lazy for not working on the bike today. "I'm the best around!" He grinned and laughed, standing up straight and stretching his arms high above his head. His t-shirt clung to his chest, revealing his belly button and snail trail slightly. He took no notice, and didn't notice if Libby had seen or not. He jogged to his room in the far upper left of the house.
Once outside, with cigarette in hand, he waited for his niece to come and meet him. Gray called for her, not realising he had been super quick. She was soon out, staring up at him. He looked down and smiled, the wrinkles in his neck showing as his head turned. "Yeah ya go hide first sweetheart, I'll count to wha' a hundred?" Libby ran off, looking for somewhere to hide. He inhaled deeply, taking the nicotine down into his lungs before blowing it out in smoke rings through his lips. After stubbing his cigarette out and putting it in the ashtray he had brought a few weeks back after complaints from Brendan (not that he minded), he could hear Libby shouting for him to come find her.
"Righ' here we go then." He put his hands in his leather jacket. Gray had no idea where she would hide, greenhouse maybe? So he decided to take a walk along the gravel path towards the greenhouse, shivering slightly at the cool breeze blowing through the grounds. As he reached the greenhouse, he peeked in squinting slightly. "Ah where are ya kiddo?" Then suddenly he felt a massive whack over the head, as he now lay unconscious on the gravel.

Xavier had a tip off about a special that possessed a power he had never heard of before, and from what he had been told, this guy was the only special to have it. The soon as Xavier was made aware of this he was obsessed with finding the guy and gaining his power. Ever since Xavier found out that he didn’t have Element Control but Intuitive Aptitude which allowed him to absorb powers from special he had made it his mission to gain as many as he could. Xavier suddenly had this hunger to gain as many powers as possible. He wasn’t aware he could gain powers by slicing the victims head open like Sylar does, all Xavier knew was he could absorb them, but he usually killed the specials he absorbed the power from afterward.
After a bit of researching he had been able to find out the guy’s name was Grayson, which was all he was given, and was told he stayed in Las Vegas with his brother. For the past few weeks Xavier had been helping Leigh find the person who killed her father, but now he had a mission of his own, and as much as he cared for Leigh, he wanted to do this one alone. He didn’t want Leigh to get hurt, even though he knew she could quite easily hold her own. A little more research led him to find out Grayson was the brother of Brendan Harris, the hot shot reporter of the newspaper that told people of his kind all about their world. Xavier never paid much attention to it, probably because he didn’t want to hear about the murders, murders he knew he had probably committed.
Finally Xavier had tracked down the house where this Grayson stayed, and began to keep an eye on the house, hoping he might catch some sort of movement. Although Xavier didn’t know what Grayson looked like, he knew how his brother looked with seeing his face on the newspaper once when he happened to read one of his pathetic articles about love at first sight, it made Xavier sick to his stomach, it was so sugary. He soon heard voices, which alerted Xavier, and he moved slightly to where they seemed to be coming from. He then saw the guy, which must have Grayson as it certainly wasn’t Brendan. Then Xavier’s eyes lit up when a young girl came running out after. Bait he thought. How awesome.
However, he needed a plan; one power Xavier knew he hadn’t gained yet was shape shifting it would have been a good one to have to be able to get the girl after he had caught Grayson. He took a look around wondering how he could deal with this, when he spotted an older guy. Xavier never usually trusted anybody, especially right away, but something about the way the older guy looked told Xavier that he wasn’t exactly a jolly person and for some reason Xavier had a feeling that this older guy enjoyed causing pain and grief as much as he did himself. Realising that he might need help to get this into action he walked up to the guy. “You look like the kind of guy who likes to cause misery for people as much as I do, and I have this hunger to get the guy who lives in there’s power, but I need a little help. You wouldn’t be up for having a bit of fun would you?” Xavier’s voice was dark but he had an evil grin on his face, as he pointed in the direction of where Grayson was.
“You see, he’s out there with a little girl, and I think I’ll have a better chance of getting what I want if I use the girl as bait, looking at them, it’s obvious he has a lot of love for the little thing, but I can’t see her coming freely with me, if I was to get the guy first, so what do you say, could you help?” Xavier stood with his finger and thumb on his chin waiting for the guy to answer.

Bently's little world had been quiet of late. Nothing seemed to need the help of a crazy shape shifting guy like himself. He hadn't heard anything from anyone lately, and sometimes he wondered if the handful of trustworthy people that he was in contact with were either dead, or just not involved in jobs that he liked to do anymore. That thought was a little sad to Bently's ears, because really, those people always had his back, and basically he had theirs. Though over the years plans didn't always work out, and sometimes those people that he occassionally worked with didn't survive.
Because of his boredom, Bently had taken a trip to Las Vegas, and decided to take a leisurely stroll around to see what mayhem he could cause for the day. He hadn't gotten very far from his hotel, when he saw a younger man looking at him. Bently could tell right away that he was somehow like him. He jsut had this feeling, and he always trusted it. He stopped at the young man came over to him. The man spoke to Bently, and he soon replied in his normal way. "Well hello. Maybe we should introduce ourselves before we do business." Bently put out his hand. "Bently Finch. And I think you pretty much pinpointed my personality very well."
Bently soon began to contemplate Xavier's plan. It seemed pretty simple in his book, and he thought to himself, why not? Bently nodded as Xavier spoke more, understanding the task at hand a bit more. He peered over to see the man in the grounds of the house, and snickered a little. Bently looked at Xavier, smiling slightly. "So basically, you want me to be the one to turn into that guy in order to get the little one? What do you want the guy for anyway? I presume he has an ability that you want? Fortunately for me you might just have a power that could pull off this operation of yours."

When Libby told Grayson he was embarrassing her it didn’t take him long to say what was really wrong with her. Not that Libby would admit it, but maybe she was jealous, not because she like fancied her uncle because that would just be wrong, but because she wanted him to herself. He was her uncle, nobody else, so when some of the other schoolgirls looked up at him with puppy dog eyes Libby hated it. Only she was allowed to give him the puppy dog eyes look. “I ain’ jealous.” She replied and sighed a little when he ruffled her hair.
When Libby told Gray the real reason for getting home early he said that it would be kids but she was alright as she had everything here. Well that was true, there was indoor and outdoor swimming pool , not to forget the huge gardens and tennis court. Sometimes Libby would forget that she was actually living in a house and not a hotel, since she was used to living in such a smaller apartment with her mom Faith. “Yeah it’ll be good fer the kids, we don’ hafta leave the school to go swimmin’ anymore.” Libby had soon asked Gray about Brendan’s new woman and it didn’t take long for him to change the subject. Even for someone of Libby’s age she could tell that her uncle wasn’t over impressed, probably because Melody was like the third woman her daddy had been with since Gray came into their lives.
When Gray spoke about playing ice hockey and she had asked if he had hurt himself or anything he answered and she knew right away he was going to swear but stopped and used another word instead. Libby began giggling, she knew him too well already now. “Ya were gonna say somethin’ else, ya were gonna say fucked weren’ ya?” Libby was a monster around Gray, it was like she had a split personality or something. With Brendan she was always the little angel and hardly ever swore, but with Grayson she just seemed to know he was going to swear when he changed his tactics and she always caught him on it, always. When Gray spoke some more about his knee and having to get an operation her eyes opened even wider if that was possible and then he mentioned about some guy in prison being well impressed. Her mouth fell open, “Ya were in prison?” She knew he definitely hadn’t meant to tell her that, because of what he said quietly right after.
“Does daddy know? ‘Cause if he don’ an’ ya don’ wanna tell him, I ain’ gonna say anythin’, I swear.” She might have run in and told Brendan about the first bit of swearing she had heard from Grayson, but this was different. This was something she knew he maybe wasn’t particularly proud of. She loved her uncle Grayson so much she wouldn’t like to see him upset. She wasn’t even going to ask him why he was there, she figured it was none of her business and it looked like he was upset enough at having slipped up by mentioning it, so she wasn’t going to ask him about it, it wouldn’t be fair to him.
Libby had then changed the subject by bringing up her birthday and Gray said it would be great, Libby grinned, “Yeah, ‘cause I ain’ ever had a lot of people celebratin’ ma birthday afore, it was always jus’ me an’ ma mommy.” So yeah Libby was looking forward to it, because aunt Debbie would be there, uncle Gray, aunt Debbie’s boyfriend and of course grams and gramps and a few school friends, so it would be a great party for her.
Libby had then asked Gray to go and play hide and seek with her because she was bored and when he said yes she said he was the best. She laughed when he agreed saying he was the best around. She wasn’t about to deny that one. Mind you he was the only uncle she had, unless you counted Debbie’s boyfriend William. They were soon outside and Libby asked if she was to go hide first and Gray agreed saying he would count to a hundred. So Libby went running off to find the best place to hide, or at least the best place she thought anyway. Once she was safely hidden away between the trees at the bottom of the garden she shouted to Gray she was ready.
She began to giggle when she heard him say ‘here we go then’, then quickly stopped, realising that he might hear her. She didn’t want to give away her hiding spot, not so soon anyway. When she heard him ask where she was, she began to giggle again uncontrollably, not even caring about how loud she was, she didn’t think she had hidden that well. However after waiting another good ten minutes and he hadn’t seemed to find her, she began to worry wondering why, if he didn’t find her in the next couple of minutes she’d give up her hiding spot.

As Grayson and Libby sat on the large sofa in the living room, he couldn't help but choke on his mouthful of beer as Libby openly swore in front of him. "Jesus Christ Libs, no need to say it out loud... I fuckin' stopped myself didn' I?" Gray paused and sighed, "Ah shit." He smiled and chuckled lightly, realising if Brendan heard his little 'angel' swearing like that in front of him he would snap, and guess who would get the blame? Of course Brendan was never really harsh about it, and Libby seemed to know when to zip the lip. Gray went on to talk about his knee operation and suddenly blurted out about some guy in prison. He immediately tensed up and bit down on his lip hard.
"Sorry sweetheart, ya shouldn' of heard tha'." Brendan didn't know yet, Gray hadn't plucked up the courage to tell him. It wasn't that he was scared, he was just ashamed. Despite him having been wrongfully imprisoned, because it was self defence in all it's glory, he was still deeply ashamed of spending two and a half years jailed. Gray was a survivor in prison, and got by just fine by himself. But along the way he made a couple of friends who also had abilities and were much like himself. It still didn't take away the fact he had killed a few guys. "No Daddy doesn' know yet. Jus' keep it between you an' me fer now ok?" Gray reached over and kissed her firmly on top of her head. She was such a good kid.
Libby then appropriately changed the subject, she didn't ask any questions which made him smile. Nothing like going through 'the prison story' with people. It took forever. And with Libs it would probably take even longer, besides Grayson didn't want his niece seeing his dark side. It wasn't a pretty site. Libby stated how she was excited about her birthday and how she was celebrating it with more than one person for once. He sighed, they had both been loners in that sense. No real family, no real home. Hell, at least they had each other now. It was one of the reasons Gray thought they got on so well, never having really had a family, it was as if he was meant to turn up when he did.
It didn't take long for Libs to get bored, and suddenly she asked Grayson whether he would play hide and seek with her. Of course being so wound the little girl's finger he said yes. After grabbing his jacket and making his way outside, he soon called for Libby and the two began their game. Libby ran off whilst Gray counted to a hundred. He began to explore the grounds, approaching the greenhouse. He asked where she was before feeling the large whack to the head.
As Gray started to groggily come around he felt himself being dragged along the gravel, but no words came out of his mouth as he tried to speak. Instead he felt himself soon pass out once more.

{ooc - has a feeling this thread is going to last for quite some time, sorry guys!!}
When the older guy began to talk Xavier gave him a sinister smile when he told him that he had pinpointed his personality very well. So, Xavier still had it then, being able to pick out the bad from the good. When he said they should maybe introduce themselves before they did business, Xavier nodded his head. It would seem this guy was polite for all he was pretty crazy like Xavier. Xavier took the offered hand, “Xavier Beckett, pleased to meet a fellow...” Fellow what? Terrorist wasn’t quite the right word he was looking for. “...Troublemaker. Sorry, I was trying to think of a word which best suited us, but somehow that was the best I could come up with.” Xavier shook his head because it was rather pitiful really.
When Bently spoke to Xavier he couldn’t help but give him a surprised look, he had nailed it on the head what he was wanting from him. However, Xavier had no idea what Bently could do and just approached him for the simple reason he looked like he could cause trouble. “Well, being able to turn into the guy the little girl so obviously trusts would make it all rather easy. I didn’t think about that.” Xavier realised that Bently must have the power of Shape Shifting and Xavier couldn’t help but think that would be a pretty cool power to get a hold of for future jobs, after all, it wouldn’t be every day he would bump into Bently to help him out. “I am going to assume that you have the power to shape shift, so, if I grab the guy first, you can then shift into his shape and get the girl? She’s hiding down at the bottom of the garden behind the trees, and naturally if you’re this guy she seems to trust, she’s bound to come with you.” Xavier took a look into the garden again and it would appear that Grayson was getting ready to find the girl. “And yes to answer your question, he has the power of kinetic energy transference, he is the only one with such a power and I want it.”
With that Xavier made his way toward the house and beckoned with his hand for Bently to follow him. Once he got near enough, he could see that Grayson was looking for the young girl. He turned to Bently, “Now is as good a time as any, I’m going to knock the guy out from behind and drag him through to here. You can then do your thing and get the girl, are you cool with that?” Xavier asked Bently. He would have to get this guy’s contact details; you never know when you might need an accomplice who could be as malicious as you could be. Once Bently responded to him Xavier made his way into the garden and took a quick look around to see if there was something he could whack the guy on the head with. It didn’t take long for him to find a small boulder, and with one quick swift movement he got the guy on the back of the head and he slumped. Xavier then grabbed the top of both of his arms and began dragging him out to the area where he had left Bently. “Alright, do your thing, I’ve a van if you’re willing to come with me, and I know this closed off warehouse we can take them to.”
Xavier waited for Bently to do what he had to do to look like Gray and once he was in the garden approaching Libby he would get the real Gray into the van and then wait for Bently to come with the young girl.
