Saturday 30th January, 2010
It had been over two months since Rosie had heard the news of Cameron’s death. It had hit her hard, because he was the only sibling she had left and on top of that she and Ira had split up. Rosie put it down to the fact she had been feeling broody due to almost losing her own life over a year ago, it was something she didn’t want to relive anytime too soon. It was only Rosie and her father left and she didn’t even see him as much as she would like. Finally feeling like she had been grieving for long enough she decided it was time she tried to get her life back on track and that’s what she was going to do today. The first thing she was going to do was get her hair trimmed and then go out and buy some clothes, a girl’s best therapy, retail style. Rosie had managed to get a job as a librarian, it wasn’t the kind of job she thought she would get, but it paid well enough and she liked being around books and it was a good way to meet new people.
Like all public places the library was opened on a Saturday and Sunday because not many people were able to go to the library during the week due to working, however it was Rosie’s weekend off which she had been looking forward to. She had already been to a couple of stores and was walking out of another with a couple of bags when she dropped her handbag which contained her purse. She immediately bent down to pick it up, and as she stood back up again she bumped into someone. “Oh god, I’m sorry, I wasn’t watching where I was going.” She then looked up and when she saw who she had bumped into all she could do was stare at him in disbelief and she dropped the bags she had been holding. It couldn’t be him, he was dead, she pinched herself, no, she wasn’t in a dream and she wasn’t dying so she wasn’t having an outer body experience either, so what the hell was going on.
The only thought she could think of was that the serial killer Sylar had gotten to Cameron before he died and shift shaped into him, so she immediately began to back away with a look of horror and shock on her face.
