Before Claire knew it the plane was landing and they were in California, it had been a long time since she’d flown the conventional method as she usually had Nathan taking her wherever she wanted or needed to go. She trusted being in his arms because she felt safe. Not that it really mattered if she fell, she could heal anyway. Claire had slept during most of the flight after they spoke more about what she had found out, probably because telling Wade took more out of her than she thought it would. As Wade led the way out of the plane and to the baggage claim area, Claire freshened herself up a bit, with applying fresh make-up, running the brush through her hair and tying it back into a ponytail again, then a quick squirt of perfume and she felt as if she could face the world once more. Soon after they got their bags Claire heard Wade’s phone go off and he confirmed it was a message from his mom. Claire laughed a little, “Guess she must be as eager to meet me as I am to meet her.” Soon enough they were in a taxi and on their way to Wade’s parent’s house.
Wade then asked her if she was still excited and squeezed her hand, she smiled, nodding her head, “I’m still excited, yes.” She couldn’t wait to meet Wade’s parents, but part of her was still hoping they would like her, more importantly she was hoping nothing would go wrong. Wade continued to talk some more saying he couldn’t wait for her to meet them knowing that they would like her. She then felt him kiss her cheek. “I hope so Wade, but then they don’t the truth about me.” She didn’t mean to bring the subject back up again, but it was true, they didn’t know about her and she wondered how they would react once they did find out. Then she wondered if Wade would ever tell his parents. She mentally slapped herself then, of course he would have to tell them, they would start asking questions soon enough when they saw their son aging but his girlfriend remaining the same.
Soon enough the taxi pulled up outside the house Wade once lived in as a child and suddenly the excitement seemed to have gone from Claire, instead nerves took over and she suddenly began to shake, feeling very nervous about the prospect of being so close to finally meeting two of the most important people in Wade’s life. God she hoped she didn’t spoil this day for them all. Soon Wade had paid the taxi driver and got their bags and was holding a free hand for her to take which she did. She hoped he wouldn’t feel her shaking, she had honestly never felt this nervous before in her life. Wade then told her the window he was looking at used to be his bedroom unless his mom had changed it into something else. Claire had no words then, she was so nervous she just gave him a nervous smile.
Wade soon knocked on the door and Claire thought her legs would give out as her nerves almost got the better of her. Soon enough they were faced with a woman who could only be Wade’s mom, she greeted her son with much joy, which made Claire smile and tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear, the scene was rather warming and welcoming. The next thing she knew his mom was hugging her also; Claire couldn’t really do anything but hug the woman bag, her nerves beginning to settle down, feeling immediately welcomed by the woman. “Hi Mrs. Murphy, it’s nice to finally meet you.” Claire managed to say in a steady voice, calling her Mrs. Murphy as she wasn’t sure how comfortable she would feel calling the woman by her first name even though she introduced herself as Georgia.
Claire soon felt Wade grab her hand and she was soon being led into the house. Claire looked around and realised it was a lot like the Bennet house. Sometimes she missed living there with Noah, Sandra and Lyle, but then she would think to how close she was to Nathan and Peter now, knowing they were her true family. She was about to comment on the house when Wade spoke apologising for his mom saying she can get a bit overexcited. “Its fine Wade, she seems a really nice woman, I was feeling really nervous before, but her hug just took that away in a second.” She gave Wade a bright smile then. Wade then asked his mom if she minded if he and Claire took their stuff up to his room, his mom answered saying it was fine but wouldn’t Claire like to meet his dad first before they went off for private time. Claire’s eyes opened wide with slight shock and bit on the inside of her lip before hiding a laugh behind her hand. Once she had composed herself, she answered, “I’m fine either way to be honest, but it might be more polite to meet your dad first?” She offered squeezing Wade’s hand gently, Claire was desperately trying not to set a foot a wrong, so agreeing to meet his dad first sounded like a good idea to keep on the right path.

Wade waited around for Claire to freshen herself up, then they got their bags, and headed out to go. When he phone rang, and Wade spoke, Claire replied to what he said. All he could do was smile in Claire's direction. "I know so." Wade knew what he mum was like, when meeting someone he was dating, or even this moment, seriously seeing.
Wade gave Claire a smile, when she said that she was still excited. He was too. Not because he hadn't seen his parents for a while, but because he was going to introduce them to the one person who he was truly in love with. Despite what they had discussed earlier, Wade was glad that they were going to spend some time with each other. Hearing what Claire said about hoping that his parents liked her, but they didn't know the truth about her, made him bring her close to him in his arms. "They will love you just as much as I love you, Claire. And when the time is right, they will find out. I am sure that one of them might have meet an Evolved Human. If so, then great. If not, we just have some explaining about it all to tell them. I know a little bit about it all, and then you have told me stuff as well, so it will be fine." Wade hoped it would go well. But he knew the basic introductions, and other little things would be done first.
As soon as the taxi stopped, Wade got their bags, and then held out his hand for Claire to take. He could tell that she was nervous all over again, but he just put it down to meeting his parents. "Hey, it's okay. They are going to love you." Wade kept saying it, and he knew it was true. Claire was probably the second person he had taken to meet his parents, and he wondered if she would be his last, what with how he felt about her. Wade had pointed out the window that was part of his bedroom, and saw that small smile from Claire. He just knew that she was still thinking about all that had happened before getting here, and he hoped that she would relax a little to enjoy a few hours before their shared what ability Claire had.
After Wade's embrace with his mum, he watched on as his mum gave Claire a hug. He heard their exchange of words, and instantly smiled all over again. His mum broke apart from Claire, "Oh please, call me Georgia, okay? Mrs. Murphy is Richard's mother's name." She gave a laugh, then they were soon inside. Wade had apologised for how his mum was, and Claire replied, liking what she said. "I am glad then. I might have to let her go like that a lot then." He smirked a bit, then asked if it was okay for them to go up to his room and drop their stuff off. Of cause his mum would have suggested meeting his dad first. Wade nodded, knowing that it was for the best, and saw that look on Claire's face, what with what his mum said. He thought it was cute, and then heard her reply. "Okay."
Wade led Claire to where his dad was, and soon found him in his normal spot in front of the tv, watching sport. A beer was already in his hand, one of many more to come, thought Wade. Richard wasn't a alcoholic, but he liked his beer when watching sport. It sometimes made him a bit loud. "Richard, Wade and Claire are here." Wade appeared with Claire from behind Georgia, and smiled at his dad. "Hey dad. How's it going?" Richard put his beer down on the side table, and got up, giving his son a hug. "Wade. Glad to see you. How was the flight?" Richard broke apart from Wade then. "Great thanks. I want you to meet Claire." Wade let go of Claire's hand in order for Richard to do his thing also. Richard smiled at Claire. "Well, well, she is sure pretty Wade. You know how to pick 'em" Richard then gently brought Claire into a hug. Once that was done, Richard let her go. "Pleased to meet you Claire. How is your dad going? Keeping the country at bay?" He chuckled then, waiting for Claire's reply, then sat back down.
Once that was done, Wade grabbed a hold of Claire's hand, and then motioned for her to follow him up the stairs. He grabbed the bags on the way, and they were soon up the stairs and into his bedroom. He dropped the bags there and closed the door. Without a hesitation, Wade brought Claire to him, embraced in his arms and kissed her.

{ooc - just over a week, I feel bad, sorry}
After Claire had mentioned about his parents liking her and not knowing the truth about her, she felt Wade pull her closer into his arms, which made her feel a bit better and she couldn’t help but give him a smile. Wade then spoke which put Claire at even more ease and she smiled more warmly this time. He was right, it was possible they had met one of her kind before, it wasn’t as if they were short in numbers after all, there were a lot of them about. “You’re right; I’m just worrying over nothing.” Wade had such a way of making Claire feel good about herself; it was just one of the many things she loved about him.
When the taxi had pulled up outside of Wade’s parent’s house and he had gone to help Claire out of the taxi he had been able to pick up on the nerves which were sneaking through. She was hoping she would have been able to have kept them to herself, no such luck. When he spoke saying once again that they would love her, she gave him a weak smile and bit on the inside of her cheek slightly. “I know, I don’t know why, but just seeing you point out your room made me go all nervous again.” She giggled slightly then, probably due to the nerves, but knew she had to calm herself down so she began to slowly count to ten to herself.
When Wade’s mom gave her the hug, Claire had finally managed to gather herself together enough to say it was nice to meet her, calling her Mrs. Murphy not being sure if she could have comfortably called her Georgia or not. However it would seem that Wade’s mom was soon correcting her, and telling her to call her Georgia, that Mrs. Murphy was Richard’s mom. Claire nodded her head with a warmer smile as she once again bit on the inside of her cheek for a second, “Alright then, Georgia.” It still felt slightly strange to Claire, but she figured she would get used to it eventually. Wade had then apologised for the way his mom had acted but Claire soon told him it was fine. She had to laugh a little at Wade’s response. “Sure, why not, hugs are good and if they take away my nerves then all the better.” She smiled brightly at Wade then.
After Claire agreed to meet his father before going up to Wade’s room, they were soon on their way to do just that following behind Wade’s mom who soon told his dad they were there. Wade then stepped out from behind his mom taking Claire with him. Claire stood just biting on the inside of her cheek some more while Wade and his dad embraced each other in a greeting. Then Wade was saying he wanted his dad to meet Claire. So she stopped biting on the inside of her cheek and gave him a smile as she looked up at him. Claire for some reason felt her cheeks exploding at what Wade’s dad said about her, even though it was actually very nice and then he gave her a hug. When he pulled out of the hug he said it was nice to meet her and how was her dad keeping, making a slight joke of his position in the country. “It’s nice to meet you Richard and thank you for the compliments.” Claire felt herself blush some more, before she continued, “And my dad is fine, doing the best he can for the country as always.” Maybe showing all of America what he could do wasn’t the smartest move in the world, but she couldn’t preach since she stood up and joined him, fed up with being special and having to hide who she really was.
So, if either of Wade’s parents had watched that announcement then they would already know about what she could do, never mind her dad. She had forgotten all about that as she had worried about how they would react when they knew the truth, somehow she had to guess they hadn’t seen the announcement, as surely it would have been more or less one of the first things either of them would have pointed out to her, or asked her about? Claire smiled as Wade’s dad sat back down again once she had answered him.
It didn’t take long for Wade to then grab Claire’s hand and lead her up to his bedroom. Once he had put the bags on the floor and closed the door he soon pulled her to him and began kissing her in the embrace. Claire naturally wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him right back, loving every moment of it. She was so glad that the little revelation about her never aging hadn’t put him off loving her, now they just had to wait to see how they would both feel about it further down the line when he began to get older looking and she remained the same.

Wade nodded slightly, then hugged her to himself, after she spoke. He knew that his parents would love her. What wasn't to love? Claire was the most wonderful young woman he had ever met, and they had been friends, close friends, before their actual relationship started. "Let's go," Wade said after he grabbed a hold of her hand to lead her up to the house. After they were in the house, and it came time for Claire to meet his dad, Wade let her towards his father, Richard. After introductions were done, Claire thanked Richard for the compliment. "No worries Claire. Just speaking the truth." She then answered his questions about her father. Richard nodded, "Good. Hate to think he was corrupting all of us." Wade hit his father in the arm. Richard instantly spoke to his son. "What? Some presidents have. I just don't want President Petrelli being one of the people, that is all." He turned to Claire. "I'm sorry if I have offended you. But I can see that he has been doing alright so far." Soon enough Richard sat back down to watch the tv. After that, Wade had led her up to his room, where he closed the door, and put their bags down. Wade had then started to kiss her, with his arms around her, loving that now they had some time to themselves. He felt Claire's arms around his neck, and murmured a little as she kissed him back. After a few moments, Wade slowly broke away from the kiss. He smiled warmly at Claire, and had to ask an obvious question. "So what do you think of my parents?" Once Claire answered, he moved away from her, sitting on the edge of his bed. "I should have known dad would be watching the television. He is football mad that one. That never really rubbed off onto me, though did play a little of it during school. But never got into it like he did." Wade moved over, and motioned for Claire to come join him, as he laid down, wanting to rest up for the next part of the day. Once Claire was there, he looked at her, taking in every inch of her face. "I love you so much Claire. I just want to be with you forever." He then kissed her again, pulling her into his embrace more. **** 1/2 an hour later **** There was a knock at the door, and Wade instantly turned to look at the door. "Yes," he called, trying to not sound out of breath. "Lunch will be ready in five if you need to freshen up sweetheart." "Okay, thanks." Once he heard the footsteps move away from the door, Wade looked at Claire. He kissed her on the lips, but not too much as it might just lead to more of what they were doing. Wade got up off the bed, and began to button up his shirt, straightening it a bit. He looked at Claire on the bed, and just wanted to stay there longer, but knew that his mum would be up again soon, and question what they were doing, though he knew that she would have an idea. She was not stupid by any means. Wade pointed towards the bathroom that connected to his room. "The bathroom is in there if you want to fix yourself up. I will wait for you hear." He sat on the bed, wondering what would have happened if his mum had actually just opened the door. It would not be been a very good sight in the slightest. But in Wade's eyes, it was a beautiful sight that he was having. Once they were both more presentable, Wade grabbed a hold of Claire's hand, and led her down to the dining area. "Mum, so you need any help?" Georgia looked around in the kitchen. "No Wade. It's practically done. You two just sit and wait okay?" Wade nodded, and allowed for Claire to move towards the table first, and then he sat next to her. There was no one around, and Wade instantly put his hand on her thigh, giving it a bit of a squeeze. He didn't know if that was a good move or not. Wade just wanted to be close to her, like he was before. {ooc - I figured that they left early and got his parents place around 12:45pm, so figured lunch could be around 1:30pm - or something like that lol}

{ooc - I'm sorry to take so long Mel but I'm figuring that I will be saying it a lot, so it goes for all my owed posts to you so I don't keep repeating myself} After Claire had thanked Richard for his compliment he said no worries and that he was just speaking the truth. Claire gave him a smile but she could feel her skin glowing red, it was one thing getting the compliments like that from your boyfriend but getting them from his father, well that was a whole different story. So all she could do was bite down on her bottom lip slightly and look away for a few seconds before answering his questions about her father. When Richard spoke again he said he was glad things were going well as he’d hate to think of her father corrupting them all. Claire wasn’t too sure where to look or what to say to that, but she couldn’t really blame the guy what with the presidents they had in the past. She was about to say something when she saw Wade his father on the arm and then Richard spoke again. Claire shook her head slightly, “You didn’t offend me, and I guess you have a point, but I think I can safely say my father is one of the better presidents America has had.” Some people might say differently to that what with his little public show of his ability, but then Claire being fed up of it all being a big secret had stood up and showed off her own ability. It was a wonder Richard hadn’t mentioned it, so she guessed that he must have missed that announcement from her father. Richard had then sat back down to watch the television again and Wade then grabbed Claire to take her to his bedroom. No sooner had he put the bags on the floor he had begun to kiss her and of course Claire responded. She heard him murmur a little which in turn made her do the same thing. Just being in Wade’s arms she knew that she never wanted to be with another and she didn’t care if she would never age. Soon he broke away from the kiss and when he did he asked Claire what he thought of his parents. She smiled warmly at him, “Well, your mom is just a sweetheart really and your dad, well he’s quite open but I’m sure I’ll get used to it and it’s not a bad thing to be like that.” Wade then sat on the edge of the bed wondering whether to join him or not. She might not have been too sure what to say at first to Richard with what he said about her dad, but when you looked back on past presidents she knew that what he said wasn’t such a terrible thing. Wade then began to speak again saying he should have known his dad would be watching the television and that he was football mad. Claire wouldn’t have minded if Wade liked his football or not, every person was entitled to have their own hobbies and interests after all no matter what you thought of them. Football wasn’t exactly one of Claire’s interests, but she would never have stopped Wade from having an interest in the sport although maybe she was secretly glad he didn’t at least she wouldn’t get dragged off to matches she would be bored watching. “Well, I wouldn’t have stood in the way of you having an interest in football.” She answered honesty. Wade then moved over and motioned for Claire to sit beside him which she didn’t hesitate in doing. Wade lay back and Claire did the same thing and soon he was looking at her and she couldn’t help but give him a smile. He then spoke saying he loved her and wanted to be with her forever. “Just as well I feel the same way then.” He then began to kiss her again and she soon felt herself being pulled into his embrace. *** ½ an hour later*** When there was a knock on the door Claire had to hold back a giggle, even though they hadn’t exactly got to making love things had got a little heated between them, and so Claire’s hair was a bit of a mess and she too would have to fix her clothes up a bit. Soon Claire heard Wade’s mom talk saying that lunch would be ready in five if they needed to freshen up. Well freshen up indeed. Once Wade kissed her again he got up off the bed and began to button his shirt. Claire couldn’t help but giggle, thinking that it was probably going to be very awkward to get intimate knowing that his parents were close by and that they would probably know fine well what they were doing. Wade then pointed out the en-suite bathroom in his bedroom, “Thanks, I think I should, I mean look at my hair.” She began to giggle a little, as she got up from the bed and made her way into the bathroom taking her handbag with her, which held her hairbrush and make-up. After a couple of minutes of fixing up her hair and make-up Claire made her way back out to the main bedroom. “There, I think I look a bit more presentable now.” She had tied her hair back into a high ponytail with just a couple of wisps of hair hanging down in slight curls. She had also applied some light make-up, just enough to enhance the beautiful features Claire already possessed. Soon Wade had taken her hand and began to lead her back down into the dining area where Wade then asked his mom if she needed any help. His mom said no and told them to just sit and wait. Claire smiled at Georgia and then Claire made her way to the table and sat down where Wade soon sat next to her. “Something smells good.” Claire couldn’t help but say, she figured it would be nice to let Wade’s mom know that she liked the smell of whatever she was making for their lunch. Not long after he sat down Wade squeezed her thigh, which made Claire jump and when she jumped her hand slipped and came crashing down onto the table and soon realised that her hand had went slamming down onto the fork and naturally it had sunk into the palm of her hand and blood was pouring out of the four holes made by the fork. “Damn it.” Claire muttered, not because her hand was bleeding, but because she knew fine well if Wade’s mother turned round, which given the crashing sound she had caused would be inevitable, she’d see her hand bleeding, but what was more worrying was that she would soon see the holes close up and stop bleeding. Damn, damn, damn she said to herself, this was precisely what she hadn’t wanted to happen. She pulled the fork out and grabbed for some tissues which she had in her denims pocket and began to wipe away at the blood hoping that Georgia hadn’t noticed she had been bleeding.

Richard nodded with a grin on his face, "Good to know. Should get a meeting with him one day or something." Wade rolled his eyes, and Richard saw that. He looked back at Claire. "Or maybe we should wait." He then sat back down to watch the television. Wade then took Claire up to his room, and after putting the bags down, just started to kiss her. After this moment passed, Wade asked about what Claire thought of his parents. He listened to what she had to say, and just loved what she said about his mum. "Well she can be a bit full on with the love stuff towards people, I suppose especially with you being my girlfriend and all. She probably just wanted to give off a good impression, which can sometimes come off a bit too much. But I love her all the same. And dad, well he is like that. I am kind of glad that I got more of mum's genes than dad's." Wade was never one to speak up in a crowd, but when it was with others that he was really close to, then he would open up more and speak his mind. After Wade made the comment about what he guessed his father was doing, he listened to what Claire said in reply, which made him smile. "Well I have much better interests right now. One interest includes someone by the name Claire Petrelli. Heard of her?" He chuckled a little, and then moved over in order for Claire to come over to lay on the bed with him. After he said that he loved her and wanted to be with her forever. Wade smiled at her when Claire replied, then began to kiss her. **** 1/2 an hour later **** Wade gave Claire a cheeky grin. She was more of a mess than he was, and hopefully they would be all ready to head down in the five minutes that his mum gave them. The giggle that Claire gave hadn't gone unnoticed, as he got up to button his shirt. He gave her another cheeky grin. "Maybe I should have said that we would stay in a hotel. You know, so that we can have more time to ourselves and all that." He then pointed out the bathroom, and Wade shook his head grinning at her. "Yes well, I wasn't going to say anything." He finished getting ready to head down, waiting for Claire to do her thing in the bathroom. Once she was out, Claire made a comment about how she looked, and Wade instantly went over to her and put his arms around her waist. "You are more than presentable. You are beautiful in any light." He then let her do her hair, and he then led her down to the dining room. His mum didn't need any help, so Wade led Claire to the table to sit down. Wade then turned to Claire when she commented about lunch. Georgia again turned around, and smiled sweetly at the couple. "Thank you Claire. I just whipped up something this morning." She then turned around again, and Wade rolled his eyes slightly. "I am sure that she has been in there all morning cooking. Believe me." Wade had then reached down to Claire's thigh, giving it a gentle squeeze. He was still thinking about whether it would have been a better idea for that hotel after all, when suddenly Claire jumped at his touch, and then all of a sudden he was looking at what she had just done. The noise had been very loud, what with the glasses jumping a little, but not breaking, and then Wade just let one word come out rather loudly. "Shit Claire. Look..." He looked wide eyed down at her hand with the fork through it. Blood was going everwhere under her hand. Normally Wade was okay with it, but he was suddenly feeling a little light headed, and feeling sick. But then he knew it wasn't the sight of the blood, it was the fack that it was Claire who had been injured, and really it wouldn't take long for it all to be okay. Claire muttered under her breath, just as his mother came out. "Are you two okay? I heard a crashing sound coming fro..." Wade look at his mother, who was now looking how he had knew he had been looking only seconds before. Wade looked at Claire then, and saw her pulling out the fork, then wiping at the blood. All he could do was swallow, feeling even more sick. Georgia gasped, "What are you doing Claire? You shouldn't pull that out. Here." Wade was frozen on the spot, while his mother went over to try and help Claire, which was not needed. "Mom...." Wade cleared his throat, trying to get his voice to work. "... Mom it's okay."

When Wade’s father said he should get a meeting with her dad or something and Claire couldn’t help but laugh a little, especially when she caught Wade roll his eyes at his father. Then he added that maybe they should wait. “Well he is a busy man, but I am sure he would love to meet you one day.” Well what else could she say? She didn’t want to be rude to the man. Besides if she and Wade ever got so serious as to get married, well their families would have to meet then anyway. Although Claire had been married twice, but neither of those lasted for too long and she didn’t class them as marriages. Soon after this Wade had taken Claire to his room and he had asked what she thought about his parents and Claire replied as honestly as she could. Claire couldn’t help but smile as Wade said his mom could be a bit full on with the love stuff toward people especially with Claire being his girlfriend. This just made Claire smile all the more. “Well first impressions last Wade, and those were good first impressions from your mom. And I know I will grow to love your dad in time, there isn’t anything wrong with being open but I am glad you have more of your mom’s genes I think.” Claire gave him a bright smile and gently squeezed his arm with her hand. Claire had to laugh at Wade when he said he had much better interests including someone by the name of Claire Petrelli had she heard of her. “You’re a goof but I love you.” Soon after that Claire had made her way onto the bed and they began to kiss. **** ½ hour later When Wade spoke saying maybe they should have stayed at a hotel Claire giggled some more but shook her head slightly. “Maybe, but it’s nice to be close to your parents, especially your mom.” More time to themselves might have been nice, but she was sure that his mom wouldn’t be daft and would know fine well what they might be getting up to when they were on their own. Claire could just about live with it, it wasn’t that embarrassing. So long as there was a lock on the door and his parents couldn’t just walk in then they would be fine. Claire had to laugh out loud when she’d made the comment about her hair and Wade said he wasn’t going to say anything. “Really? You would have let me walk down to meet your mom and dad again with my hair all over the place?” She was messing around with him, she knew fine well what he meant by his comment, that he wasn’t going to say her hair looked terrible, there was no way he would have let her go down the stairs looking like that, was there? Once Claire had fixed herself up and asked if she looked more presentable she had to smile at Wade’s response. “Thanks Wade. You don’t look too bad yourself you know.” They then headed down to where lunch was going to be served. Claire had soon commented on lunch smelling good and Georgia said that she had just whipped something up that morning. “Well I am sure it will be wonderful.” Claire replied and smiled kindly at the woman. Wade then commented saying that he was sure his mom had been in there all morning cooking. “Awe, if she enjoys making a fuss then leave her be.” Claire playfully patted Wade’s arm as if she was telling him off but she was only messing around. It was soon after that moment the shit hit the fan when Wade had squeezed Claire’s thigh and she had jumped making her hand slam down onto the fork on the table. It was a stupid accident like this Claire hadn’t wanted to happen because it would give her ability away. Wade reacted just like she knew she would. “I can see what I’ve done.” She said in a low voice but not really meaning to sound like a bitch about it, she just hadn’t wanted something like this to happen in front of his parents. Maybe Georgia wouldn’t have seen. No sooner had she thought that she heard Georgia speak and stop mid sentence which made Claire look at the woman. Claire pulled the fork out, of course the blood began to go everywhere, but it was already slowly beginning to stop just as Georgia told her she shouldn’t have done it. Wade was trying to tell his mother that it was okay. But the woman was now beside her. She looked at the woman, “Like Wade said it’s alright, really.” Well there was no getting out of it now, she would have to tell Georgia about her ability, as the wound had already healed. She held up her hand. “Look, it’s gone. I uhm, have this ability where I can heal from anything. I’ve walked out of my old house when a radioactive induced special blew up in my house and my skin was peeling off and as I walked toward my parents whom I had chased out of the house ahead of me, my skin was growing back. I’ve tried to kill myself so many times I’ve lost count. I uhm, basically can’t die.” There it was out, she turned to look at Wade. “I’m sorry.” She said in a soft voice, this was the kind of thing she hadn’t wanted to happen when she had met his parents, but it was also a bit of a relief to get it all out there and just tell Georgia about herself.

Wade had spoken about how his mum was like, and he grinned a little, shrugging. But he smiled more, when Claire said that she was glad that he had more of his mother's genes. "I have to agree, but I never want to be all over everyone like she does. The only person I want to be all over is you." He touched her nose slightly, grinning madly at her. Wade snickered, shaking his head slightly, when Claire said that he was a goof, but she loved him. "Well then, I can be Claire Petrelli's good then." **** 1/2 an hour later **** Wade laughed a little, when Claire asked him if he would have let her walk down to meet his parents again with her hair all over the place. "No, I wouldn't have. I might have absentlymindedly tried to fix it myself on the way down." Wade had no idea how to do hair. He was fine with his own, as it was short, but girl's hair. No way would he know what to do with it. Wade smiled, when Claire said that he didn't look too bad himself, and they then headed down to lunch. After Claire commented that the food would be wonder to Georgia, Wade had said that she had been probably at it all morning. He smiled a little at Claire's reply. "Fine. And yes she more than likes to make a fuss." The pat on his arm hadn't gone unnoticed, as he glanced in her direction. That was when he decided to give her thigh a squeeze, and her hand flew up, and soon landed right on the fork, spiking her hand. Wade frowned, when Claire almost harshly spoke to him, when he had acknowledged the fact that the fork was in her hand. He then quietly spoke almost in the same tone. "I'm sorry if I am not used to seeing a fork in my girlfriend's hand." The second he said it, he wished he hadn't of said it in the tone it was said in. Wade sighed, just as his mum entered. The sick feeling just grew and grew, as his mother spoke, but only got through part of her sentence. Georgia had suggested that she not pull the fork out. She was soon on top of Claire, trying to grab for the fork. Georgia frowned at Claire, wondering why she was so calm about it all. "Claire we should take you to the hospital to get it looked at." Wade could hear the panic in his mum's voice. "If Claire says it is alright, it is alright mum." He looked from his mum, to Claire's hand. He could see that the holes were closed up now on Claire's hand, and now how was he going to explain what happened. But it seemed Claire was in there first to explain, firstly showing her healed hand to Georgia. Wade was feeling rather light headed again, and he placed his head in his hands on the table. He heard his mother gasp, as Wade heard Claire explain her ability. Wade tried so hard to breath deeply, but sure enough he could feel that he was going to be sick. He sat back, and looked over as Claire finished up talking. Wade swallowed, as Claire turned to him and apologised. He gave her a weak smile, and that was when he made a mad dash to the downstairs bathroom. Wade slammed the door, and bent down over the bowl of the toilet. While Wade was in there, Georgia quickly grabbed a seat next to Claire. "I... uh... don't... uh... not what to say. I.. um... I just don't understand all of it." Georgia grabbed for the glass in front of her, and picked up the water jug, pouring herself a glass. She took a few mouthfuls, and then put the glass down. "How is it possible?" Georgia looked from Claire, to Claire's hand, then in the direction that Wade had gone. "Maybe I should go and check on Wade."

After Claire said she was happy that Wade had more of his mother’s genes than his father’s she had to giggle a little at what he said. She grinned as he touched her nose gently, “Well, I have no objections to you being all over me.” She giggled some more after she said that. Claire had then said he was goof but she loved him and she shook her head smiling as he said that he would be Claire Petrelli’s goof. **** ½ an hour later **** Claire had been teasing Wade when she asked if he would let her walk down with her hair all over the place, but she couldn’t help but smile when he replied saying that he would probably have absentmindedly tried to fix it for her. “You’re too kind Wade Murphy, that’s why I love you.” It would seem that Claire and Wade were very good at teasing each other. Claire couldn’t help but laugh a little when Wade replied to her telling him off playfully about his mom making a fuss, “Well, sometimes it’s nice to be made a fuss of.” Claire didn’t know if she was saying that because she now missed having a mother figure. Her biological mother was dead and now her adoptive mother was dead, really she had no female influences in her life anymore other than Angela, and although she had made amends with the woman things were still somewhat strained between the pair of them. Shortly after that disaster struck when Claire managed to get her fork through her hand after she jumped when Wade had touched her thigh. Things had suddenly taken a turn for the worse especially between Wade and Claire with the tones in their voices. “It’s not as if I meant for it to happen Wade for God’s sake.” Her voice was low again, and she knew she shouldn’t have been speaking to him like that. She might have to call for her father to come and get her and take her home, this would be their first fight and Claire didn’t like it already. That was when Georgia saw it and began to panic slightly. “It’s fine Georgia; really, there is no need for the hospital.” She knew she wanted Wade’s parents to find out about her ability but she hadn’t banked on them finding out quite like this. Wade had then spoken confirming what Claire had already said. But she wouldn’t stop fussing over it, although in a way Claire liked it, because as mentioned before she missed having a mother figure in her life. Claire then decided to tell Georgia about her ability, well what else could she do? Now she knew that his mom would think she was a freak like so many people had in the past. No sooner had Claire finished telling his mom about her ability she had turned to him an apologised, but then he got up from the table at quite a speed and Claire knew he must have been going to be sick because of everything which had just happened. Why did she have to go and spoil the day for them? She had been worried this would happen and it’s exactly what did happen. She wanted to go after Wade, but Georgia spoke to her some more. She was saying she didn’t understand it and how was it possible. Claire sighed gently giving Georgia a weak smile. “I’m not sure how it’s possible, but there are a lot of people out there like me who can do different things. We aren’t commonly known because normal people usually frown on us and call us freaks. I can heal, my father can fly, my grandmother had precognitive dreaming and my uncle can copy anybody else’s power, so he can heal, fly and a whole lot of other powers to be honest with you.” Georgia then said she should maybe go and check on Wade, she gave her a weak smile, “I’m sorry if I’ve spoiled everything, I didn’t want you to find out like this. Maybe I could check on Wade, if you tell me where the bathroom is? I think the two of us need to talk about what just happened anyway.” Claire was going to suggest she get Nathan to take her home, it might be for the best, she had dropped a bomb on his mother and she would take a while to get used to it and until she did it would just be awkward between them all.

After Claire had accidently moved her hand, where it landed on the fork, piercing her hand, it seemed that this was going to be where they might start arguing. Wade hadn't meant to have a tone to his voice, but it seemed that Claire had one also, and he shook his head, still shocked at what had happened, trying to cover it up before his mum came out. "I know you didn't mean for it to happen, Claire." He shook his head, and attempted to help try and stop. But his mum had then come out to witness the sight.
Claire had mentioned that there was no need for the hospital, and Wade knew that also. But his mum didn't know any better, knowing what the normal thing to do was, and that was going to the hospital. But Claire was far from normal, and that was what he liked about her. But at this point in time it was the least of his worries. He was worried what his mum and dad were going to think now. Though then Claire started to tell Georgia that she had an ability. Wade felt light headed, feeling sick as Claire spoke of her ability to his mum. After Claire turned to apologise to him, he had just given her a weak smile, then made a dash to the bathroom nearby. After he had slammed the door, he had headed for the toilet bowl, kneeling over it.
Wade wanted to be sick, but there was nothing there, and he just hung his head over the bowl, and closed his eyes. He took some deep breaths, wondering what was happening in the dining room now. There was no yelling, so that was a good sign. But it still didn't make up for the fact that his mum, and soon his dad, would know what Claire could do. All he had been worried about was that his parents would love her as much as he loved her. But now, he had no idea what they would think. Would they think he was seeing a 'freak'? He hoped not, because he never thought of Claire that way. Never would he think that way.
In the dining room, Georgia wasn't sure what to say to Claire of what she had just told her. She had gotten the glass of water, as Claire said that she wasn't sure how it was possible, and as Georgia sat, Claire spoke of others like her. Georgia looked at her wide eyed, hearing then what Claire's father, the President, could do, and what others in her family could do. Georgia shook her head. "I don't... How... How come we have never heard of your kind, Claire?" Georgia took a couple more sips of her water, feeling a bit better, and looked down at Claire's hand that looked as though nothing had happened.
Georgia then said that she should go and check on Wade. She returned Claire's weak smile with one of her own, as Claire spoke. "It's okay. You haven't spoiled anything. You just added a bit of drama to our dull lives, that is all." Georgia looked in the direction of the bathroom, then at Claire. "Sure you can. It is just the first door on your right." Georgia then got up, and headed into the lounge room, to converse with Richard, who obviously hadn't heard the commotion in the next room.

When Wade said that he knew Claire hadn’t meant for it to happen she thought they were going to have their first argument and she didn’t really like the feeling it was causing. So she gave him a weak smile, “I’m sorry, I just hadn’t expected them to find out this way that’s all.” Her voice was soft and had a slight worried tone to it. This would be the moment when Wade’s mom would think she was a freak just like many others before her had done.
Claire feeling in a corner when Georgia approached her had ended up telling her all about what she could do while Wade had made a dash to the bathroom closing the door with a bit of a thud. Claire felt terrible, the afternoon had gone all wrong and hadn’t turned out the way it should have. Georgia had then asked how people like Claire were even possible. She had done her best to explain that but knew that it would be a lot for Georgia to take in. Claire knew the inevitable question would have been asked by Georgia, how they hadn’t heard of people like Claire. She shook her head slightly giving the woman a weak smile.
“Most ‘normal’ humans haven’t heard of us because they class us as freaks and some of us dangerous and sometimes we’re hunted down. So we made it a pact to keep what we could do a secret from the normal world. But I don’t like having to do that. Trust me; all I have ever wanted was to be normal. Meeting and falling in love with your son allowed me to feel as normal as I could, but as you have seen for yourself, I am far from normal.” Claire tried to explain why her kind hadn’t been universally heard of, and used her fingers as quotation marks when she said the word normal at the beginning of her sentence.
When Claire had apologised if she had spoiled anything Georgia told her that it was okay and she hadn’t spoiled anything instead just adding drama to their dull lives. Claire smiled a bit more warmly at her, hoping that maybe she would be alright with what she could do. “I’m glad, I hope you can learn to live with it because it would be nice to have a mother figure in my life again, since both my biological and adopted mothers are dead.” Claire wasn’t sure where that had come from but she had taken an instant like to Georgia, and hated the idea that her finding out about what Claire could do would take that away from her.
Claire had then suggested that maybe she could go in and check on Wade and Georgia said that she could and told her where the bathroom was. “Thanks Georgia.” Claire replied and Georgia then stood up and left and Claire had this feeling that she might be going through to tell Wade’s dad all about what she could do now. Claire made her way to the bathroom and first she knocked on the door a couple of times quietly and then gently pushed it open and stood in the doorway. “Hey, are you alright? I’m really sorry about the way I acted before, I... I ... just ... I just hadn’t wanted her to find out like that. If you want I can call Nathan and ask him to come fly me home, if you think it might be best for me not to be here now?”
Claire didn’t really want to leave, she wanted to get to know Wade’s parents more, she especially wanted to get that motherly bond with Georgia, but if Wade thought it would be better for Claire to go home then that’s what she would do because she knew Nathan would come for her in a heartbeat.

Wade hated that they were having harsh words between them. But really, how else would he react to what happened. He saw that weak smile that Claire gave him, and he sort of matched it, but didn't get out a good one this time. No, this was not the time for smiles and all that. All Wade could do was shake his head, hoping for this all to be a bad dream, and he could wake up with Claire back in his room, which his mum knocking on the door. But no, it was reality, and he had to try and deal with it with Claire.
After Wade had practically run to the bathroom, Georgia tried to get her head around what Claire had said. So it seemed that her father, and others in her family had these abilities, or whatever they were. She had asked Claire why they hadn't heard about them before. Georgia tried to listened to what Claire said, but the thing that really made her listen was when she spoke about Wade. So it seemed that her son may have found a good person to be with. Claire was being open with Georgia, which she liked, and knew that there wasn't going to be any secrets. But still the whole Evolved Human thing was a bit too much to handle, and she knew she had to get her head around it all later.
Then Claire apologised, and Georgia then said that it was okay, she hadn't, but just added drama to their dull lives. Georgia returned the smile that Claire gave, and took a few more sips of her water, putting the glass down. When Claire spoke, saying she was glad, and that she hoped that Georgia coud live with it because it would be nice to have a mother figure. Georgia remembered that the President didn't have a wife, and she never thought about it till Claire mentioned about wanting a mother figure. Georgia moved her hand to place it on Claire's. "Don't worry sweetheart. I am sure that things will be okay here. I am glad that you were able to tell me. I am sorry that I freaked out."
Soon enough Wade heard a knock at the door, but he didn't look up. He tried to calm down, not knowing who it was that was in the doorway, till he heard her voice. Wade swallowed, then slowly looked up at Claire. He felt so bad for the way he had acted, he just wanted to get up and wrap his arms around her and apologise for it all. Wade shook his head when she asked if he was alright. He truly thought he was going to be sick when he ran off on her, and he felt a bit better, but still felt a bit faint.
Then Claire said spoke about calling Nathan to come and get her to fly her home, if he thought it was best for her not to be there. Wade slowly got up, holding onto anything that he could see to steady himself. He shook his head, finding his voice. "No. I would like it if you stayed." Wade then walked quickly over to her, and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close to him. "I am so sorry for going off at you, when I should have tried to calm the situation down." He pulled away from Claire, still with his arms around her. "And I am sorry for anything that I may have said. I have never been in that situation before. I should have stuck by you." Wade then pulled her close to himself again, feeling like if he let go of her, she might just not be there anymore.

Really the day couldn’t have got much worse for Claire, why oh why did she have to do something so stupid as to hurt herself only to heal seconds later much to the horror of Georgia. She just had to hope that Georgia would soon get used to the idea and not think any less or different of her. But then Claire knew how she had been feeling about finding out that she would live forever and stay looking the way she currently did. She wanted it to be a dream, but it was anything but a dream, it was a nightmare which resulted in Wade rushing off to the bathroom.
While Wade was gone Georgia tried to make sense of Claire’s ability and Claire did her best to tell Georgia about it without lying and just getting it all out there. Claire had then apologised, she was worried she was about to lose the only mother figure she might have in her life now. Claire had then said she hoped Georgia could learn to live with it and mentioned about having her as a mother figure. That was when she felt Georgia place her hand on top of Claire’s and then she spoke telling her that she wasn’t to worry about it and she was sure everything would be okay and she was glad Claire told her. She then apologised for freaking out, but Claire shook her head giving Georgia a warm smile.
“You had every right to be freaked out; it’s not every day you find out your son’s girlfriend can miraculously heal from everything.” Claire said in a soft voice and then Claire had asked about going in to see Wade, before she did that however, she went round and wrapped her arms around Georgia and gave her a hug, “Thank you.” She then went to the bathroom and knocked on the door. She felt terrible that she had made Wade feel so sick that he had to leave the table to go to the bathroom. She hoped he hadn’t been sick much. She had asked how he was and then suggested that she maybe should get Nathan to come and take her home. She saw Wade shake his head when she had asked if he was alright.
“I’m really sorry. I promise to try and not hurt myself bad like that in front of you again if that’s how it’s going to make you feel. I forget how it can look to other people; I’m so used to it now.” She was referring of course to the fact she had just pulled out the fork without giving it another seconds thought. Wade then began to stand up slowly and told her he would like it if she stayed. She nodded her head as she gave him a weak smile, “Alright then.” She replied and then Wade quickly made his way toward her and then wrapped his arms around her pulling her close to him. She automatically wrapped her arms around his neck feeling safe in his embrace. He then began to apologise for the way he acted. “It’s alright Wade, it was a difficult situation you were in, I understand. I was just upset that your mom had to find out the way she did, that’s all.”
Wade then pulled away from her a bit and apologised again, “Wade, it’s really alright, please don’t do this to yourself. We’re fine. I think we should just try to forget it happened and enjoy the rest of our time here.” When Wade pulled her to him again, Claire snuggled into his neck, knowing that she never wanted to be apart from him, ever and tears began to escape her eyes with the emotion of what she was feeling.

{ooc - so sorry for leaving this thread for so long...}
"I wasn't sick knowing what you had just done. I think it was more the fact that mum was finding out that way, that is all. I have no worries with blood, but maybe the mix of you doing that didn't help. I just hate how I handled the situation more than anything." Wade did hate himself with how he had acted. It seemed that Claire was more in control than he had been, and that made him feel that he wasn't strong enough somehow. Not that he was going to be one of those dominant males or anything.
Wade was glad that when he said he wanted her to stay, that she agreed. He then went to her and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. He soon felt Claire's arms go around his neck, and he soon felt like he was relaxing a bit more now, feeling that everything was going to be okay. He had apologised for the way he had acted, and he listened to what Claire said in reply. "I know. But these things happen, and I hope mum and dad will be okay with it. But really if I am happy, then they should be also. It is my own decision of who I date."
He pulled away, apologising again. And Claire replied, saying that it was alright. "I am glad that we are fine, and I agree, we should enjoy the rest of the time." He smiled at her, and then pulled her back into his embrace. Wade felt so much calmer now, but knew that he had to face his parents to see what they had to say about it.
{ooc - finished?}
