Well my first time at a Supanova convention, and I am only halfway through it all. I went to the preview night on Friday night...and boy lots of people really go all out to get dressed up. Most of what I saw was probably characters from Anime (which I am not really into). I sat through the intro to the whole thing, and then through the Anime Auction. Well we raised around $4400 from that event. Well done Brisbane! We have beaten Melborne so far this year.
They showed a scene from Knowing, which I had already seen (of cause ). Then instead of getting up and going to another movie screening, I sat through about 1/2 an hour of a Japanese anime movie called "The Girl Who Flew Through Time". I was starting to get a headache (what with working from 7:15am that morning), so my dad and I left at 8:30pm.
Today (Saturday), Emma and I went in at 10am. After some lining up, then finding out we didn't need to line up as we had the wrist bands, we headed up the stairs. It was so stinking hot...so tomorrow I am not wearing jeans and a t-shirt! lol As soon as I found out where the celebrity signings and photo ops could be purchased, I bought mine. I then lined up to get my picture taken with Amber Benson (Buffy's Tara).
She then later signed it (as you can see). She was great to get a photo taken with. Also when she signed the photo...she said "How cute!" She was really sweet, and a very natural person.
Then after her photo, I lined up to take a picture with Hayden.
Then she signed it (as you can see). Before we all got our pictures taken we were told how to stand beside her, and we couldn't touch her at all.
Anyway....
As it took forever to get the photo, I missed getting my picture taken with Adam Busch, though getting it down tomorrow.
After all the photos and autographs were done, we wandered around, had lunch, then headed into the room where Amber and Adam would do their talks. I got some pics, which I will add later.
Overall it was a great day, and we had a laugh or two at the people who were dressed up.
But I shouldn't laugh as I am thinking of dressing up myself next year.
