Wednesday 3rd March 2010 After dicussing with Beth of what she wanted to do over the week, or really show she wanted to visited, and thinking it over for a whole three days, Ebony decided to go and do it. She put a few things in her bag, and headed out of Uncle Dom's house. Ebony wanted to go and visit her parents alone, leaving Beth back the house. She felt that she had to do it on her own, wanting to face them at this time. Though she also wanted to get a few things answered as well. Soon enough, after taking a bus, Ebony walked up the street, seeing that not a lot had changed in the past. She then approached the house, and just stood there, taking in it's features. Same as the way I left it pretty much, thought Ebony, as she then took slow steps up the path, and then walked up to the main door. Ebony sighed, then took in a deep breath. "Here goes nothing," she said in a quiet voice, and then reached up with a closed fist, and knocked on the door. When it opened, Ebony gasped a little with her mouth open, then quickly closed it, eyeing off the person at the door. "Hi. I was just wondering if I could speak with Anastacia. I'm ... I work with her." Ebony gave the man who was definately her father, David, a weak smile, and waited to see if he would let her in or not. {ooc - I was thinking that David might post next, then Ebony, then Stacey after that.}

{ooc - whatever works best for you Mel - I just go with the flow as you know lol}
It was a Wednesday and David always had a half day on a Wednesday so he had left the office around twelve thirty in the afternoon and now he was at home and not long finished some lunch and was just enjoying the quiet time with Stacey and baby Ebony. David had his set shifts and he loved them. He worked from nine to five Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, a half day on a Wednesday and finished at four on a Friday and had every second Saturday off as well and naturally Sunday was a given, he had every Sunday off. He loved his job but he also loved the time he got to have to spend with Stacey and baby Ebony.
They hadn’t been expecting anyone to visit so when the door was knocked upon David had turned to Stacey with a raised eyebrow although he knew the only way to find out who was at the door was to answer it naturally. “I wonder if mom’s popped around unannounced.” He said with a slight shrug, “It can’t be Dom after all, he’s away with Sam isn’t he?” He added even though he already knew the answer to that question. So he made his way to the door and soon had it opened and had to do a double take because the young girl at the door had a remarkable resemblance to Stacey but then they did say everyone had their double out there somewhere.
Not wanting to appear like he was dumb for much longer he gave her an unsure smile, “Hi can I help you?” David asked as he then saw that her mouth was open and then she seemed to gather herself together and soon spoke asking if she could speak to Stacey calling her by her full name and then added that she worked with her. David wasn’t sure if he should let her in or not as his protective side came out but then thought he was being silly as she was just a young girl and thought what harm would there be done by letting her in. So he stepped aside and opened the door up more, “Come on inside, she’s just in the lounge room.”
He made his way into the lounge room and quickly turned to make sure the girl was following him and then as he stepped into the lounge he looked at Stacey with a raised eyebrow, “Someone to see you from your work Stacey.” He said as he walked into the room further to allow the girl to join them, he immediately sat down next to Stacey almost as if he was trying to shield her with an invisible bubble or something. He kept glancing toward the girl and still couldn’t get away with the resemblance of her to Stacey as he then continued to glance from the girl to Stacey and back to the girl.

When her father asked if he could help her, Ebony had pretty much let her mouth hang open. But then she quickly closed it, and spoke, asking for her mum, Anastacia, adding quickly that she worked with her. What else could Ebony say: 'Hi, I am Ebony your daughter from the future.' She knew if she said that she would get a door slammed in her face, telling her to go away. Maybe not in those sort of words, but she knew that her father would have handed over his card, telling her to meet with him as soon as possible.
To her relief, David stepped aside, allowing her to come in. Ebony, without really thinking, put on one of her brightest smiles, one that was always compared to her mother's, and nodded a little, "Thanks." Ebony walked inside a few steps, and stopped, as not wanting to continue on, like she owned the place. As David walked towards the lounge room, Ebony followed him, and soon they were in the room. Ebony stopped just behind David, wondering what might happened when she was soon seen by Stacey.
David soon spoke of who was here to see her, and Ebony then saw her. Her mum was just as beautiful in person, as she was in the pictures she saw from this time. Her feet felt like they were planted on the floor, not being able to move from the sight she was seeing. Ebony felt her eyes get a little bit misty, but blinked to clear her eye sight. David walked towards Stacey, and sat next to her. Ebony then bit on her bottom lip a little, wondering what to say, as she knew that Stacey would instantly know that Ebony was not one from the newspaper, as she would have seen her one of the many times that she had to come in.
Ebony saw that David was looking from her, to Stacey, then back to herself again. She looked around, soon feeling her feet were ready to move, and moved towards the chair opposite the lounge that David and Stacey were sitting on. Ebony slowly sat down, her heart racing a mile a minute. She let out a breath, then looked at Stacey, then at David, and back again at Stacey, giving her a weak smile. "I guess I should start by telling you why I am here. Or start with the truth." Ebony bit on her bottom lip again, then decided to start talking, or she would just ramble it out all at once.
"I don't work with you at the newspaper. I am, um, actually your daughter from the future. Ebony Amelia Callaghan."

Stacey had just put Ebony down for a sleep, after feeding her, and headed into the lounge room. She still couldn't believe that she was almost six weeks old, and still just as adorable. Stacey was now looking forward to spending some quality time with David, since he worked a half day on a Wednesday. These were the times when she knew that she would cherish the most, having time alone with David when Ebony was quiet, as sometimes she was always attending to Ebony.
As Stacey was getting settled in the lounge, there was a knock at the door, and this led to her frowning at David. She saw him raise his eyebrows at her, and all Stacey could do was shrug as he spoke. "No idea. And yes he is away." She lent her head on the back of the lounge, "Maybe see who it is, and if it is no one important, tell them to come back another day." Stacey gave him a half smile, and then watched David go and see who it was at the door. She sighed a little, and fiddled with her engagement ring.
Stacey heard mumbled voices, not really making out what was being said, though the other voice sounded rather younge, so she wondered who it was. Soon she heard the door close, and footsteps head towards the lounge room. Soon enough David appeared, saying that someone was here to see her from work. Stacey wondered who that was, and soon saw David move to reveal a young girl, who looked like she was in her teens. He then made his way towards her, sitting right next to her.
Stacey raised her eyebrows a little, wondering what the girl wanted. The newspaper knew that she wasn't going to be doing any sort of writing for a while yet, what with having Ebony now, so she looked at the girl questionably. Though looking at this girl, Stacey had never seen her before, unless she was new or something. She saw David moving his head a little, and Stacey looked at him, frowning a little at what he was doing. Though this didn't last that long, as she saw the girl move to the seat opposite them.
Stacey was about to question why she was here, when she soon spoke, and Stacey let her talk. The girl said that she should start by telling her why she was here, which made Stacey nod slowly, knowing that that would be a good place to start. Then she said that maybe start with the truth. This made Stacey bite on her bottom lip, just as the girl did as well. Though this didn't register with Stacey, as a lot of people did that exact same movement. Nothing out of the ordinary there.
But then the next thing that she said, made Stacey raise her eyebrows a little, wondering who she was if she didn't work for the paper. Though the very next sentence that escaped her lips made Stacey gasp out loud, plaing her hands over her mouth, looking at this girl wide eyed. She felt like she was in some parallel universe, or maybe some reality show where they have hidden cameras to make a fool out of you. That thought made Stacey start to burst out laughing. After a few moments, she removed her hands from her mouth, slowling down on the laughter. "Good one. Who put you up to the joke."

{ooc - god I sure hope once I get on top of these I don't let myself get this far behind again - I am SOOO sorry}
When there had been a knock at the door David had wondered how could be adding that Dominic was away just now and it couldn’t be him and Stacey soon confirmed that he was away and then said to see who it was and if it was nobody important to send them away and tell them to come back another day. David nodded his head, “Sure honey that sounds like a plan to me.” David replied and then made his way to the door answering it. He soon saw a young girl who he had to admit bore a striking resemblance to Stacey.
David found that he couldn’t stop staring at the girl at the door before he stepped aside to let her in she looked so much like Stacey it was scary but again put it down to everyone having their doppelganger out there somewhere. The girl gave him a bright smile when he stepped aside to let her in and immediately the thoughts of her looking so much like Stacey come flooding back, that smile, it was exactly how Stacey smiled. Okay so you could have your doppelganger, but did they copy everything like you? He wasn’t so sure. However he led her into the lounge room anyway and told Stacey that there was someone to see her from her work.
There seemed to be a bit of silence and from what David could see on Stacey’s face there was no recognition shown toward the girl that was in their lounge room and he began to wonder if he had let a complete stranger into their home after all. He soon saw the young girl bite down on lip and then take a seat. He still couldn’t get away with the resemblance between her and Stacey however and he couldn’t help but continue to glance from the girl to Stacey and then back to the girl again. Other than a doppelganger David could only think of one reason why the girl looked like Stacey and that was that she must have been a cousin or something, but then surely Stacey would know her own family member?
Then as he thought back to the smile, then the bite on the lip before he soon put his hand up to his mouth as if he suddenly realised who was sitting opposite them and yet found that he couldn’t believe it. However the girl soon began to talk saying that she should start by telling them why she was there or start with the truth. David nodded his head and thought he would just let her continue to talk rather than try and interrupt her, it was the therapist in him. The next words to come out of her mouth were rather unexpected however and yet because of his own thoughts only seconds before he knew that it wasn’t exactly absurd either. Stacey’s reaction to what the girl said was only to be expected but then the next thing David knew Stacey had begun to laugh out loud and then said it was a good one and who put her up to the joke.
David reached his hand across to take Stacey’s, “I am not so sure it’s a joke Stacey honey, I’ve seen some of her facial expressions and they mirror yours, the bright smile she gave me earlier, that biting of the lip move, I know it seems crazy but I think she’s right, this is our Ebony.” David said in a soft voice as he looked across at the girl again and once more taking in all her features and knowing that what he was saying may sound crazy but also knew it to be true.

Ebony saw Stacey look at her, and wondered if she was going to say that she didn't know who she was, and tell her to leave. She hoped not, as she really wanted to talk to her parents, especially Stacey, her mother. Ebony had bitten on her lip a little, then took a seat opposite Stacey and David. She saw her dad look from Stacey, to her, and back at Stacey, and Ebony saw her mother frown at what David was doing.
Before Ebony opened her mouth, she glanced at David, and how he had put his hand up to his mouth. Shit, thought Ebony, he had figured it out before she could get a word out. Ebony blinked a little bit, then swallowed, and then spoke. She saw Stacey nod as she talked, and then when Ebony said that she should maybe start with the truth, she bit on her bottom lip, at the exact same time as her mum. Ebony soon told them who she really was, and waited to see what the reaction might be. For all she knew they would tell her to get out, which she would ablige to, but would be rather heartbroken over it. If that happened, she knew she wouldn't be visiting with Beth if she came back into the past.
Stacey gasped at what Ebony had said, and Ebony swallowed again, biting on her bottom lip, feeling really nervous all of a sudden again. Seeing her mother reacting like this, having her hand over her mouth, looking at her wide eyed was only to be expected. Though the next thing Ebony never expected. Stacey started to laugh, which made Ebony frown a little, taking aback by this. She soon spoke, and hearing what she said, made Ebony feel tears sting in her eyes, and she went on to bite on her bottom lip, this time a bit harder, willing the tears to stop.
There had been no reaction as such from David, since he had put his hand up to his mouth only moments ago. Ebony looked at David, wondering what he was thinking, then he spoke to Stacey, taking her hand. A tear escaped her eye, which Ebony quickly wiped away, and listened to what he was saying to Stacey. So he had put two and two together, the gestures that Ebony had done that were the same as her mother, she had seen Stacey bite on her lip, which she had seen a million times over the years.
David then ended off what he was saying, stating that she was their Ebony. Ebony looked on sadly, hoping that Stacey would acknowledge it, or for all she knew she might freak out, and tell her to go. Though the next thing Ebony thought was probably for the best. She wiped her eyes, and spoke, "It's okay... I um... I maybe shouldn't have come." With that Ebony started to get up, grabbing her bag.

Stacey wanted to question the girl, as she had never seen her before. She wanted to really know what she wanted by coming to their home. She then noticed David put his hand up to his mouth, which made her frown again, placing a reassuring hand on his arm, opening her mouth to speak, but the girl then started to talk. Stacey soon heard the girl state that she was their daughter.
Obviously Stacey reacted like she would, gasping, and putting her hands over her mouth. Just looking at the girl she couldn't believe it. Though her thoughts went to where she was, or what might be happening, which led her to laugh out loud. After a few moments she calmed down, then asked who had put her up to the joke. Though the touch of David's hand, and his quiet voice soon make her look at him. She listened to what he said, in regards to the gestures the girl had done, the smile, all of it. Stacey felt her face start to relax from the laughing, and she eyed off the girl.
The things that David said were starting to sink in. She recalled the part where she bit on her own lip, at the exact same time this girl did. Stacey followed his gaze over to the girl, and the girl, she could see, was upset. Before anymore words were spoken, the girl got up, stating that she shouldn't have come, and grabbed her bag. Without thinking, Stacey wriggled her hand out of David's, and went over to the girl. Placing her hands on her upper arms gently, Stacey took in her features, trying to see what was familiar. The eyes definately, and how she was looking now all sad, reminded Stacey of how she probably would feel and look like if she was down.
Stacey felt her eyes start to sting, blinking a few times, and then really looked at the girl. "If you really are our daughter, then you will be able to tell us how your name came about, as I am sure that we told you when you got older." Stacey waited to see what the girl said. The only people who knew in this time about Ebony's name was her, David, his mum, and Dom. No one else.

David hadn’t meant to put his hand up to his mouth the way he had, but when he had managed to figure out that the girl in their lounge room was their daughter he didn’t really think there was anything else he could do. He didn’t think just blurting it out there would do any of them any good. David felt it would be better if it was said naturally by either Ebony saying who she was or by Stacey working it out for herself. It was the therapist in him making him think like this, so all he felt he could do was just sit and watch the scene which would inevitably unfold between them.
Then Ebony had told them who she really was and Stacey’s first reaction was pretty much standard but then she had begun to laugh stating that it was some kind of joke. David didn’t need to see the look on Ebony’s face to know that that kind of reaction from Stacey would hurt her so he had reached across taking Stacey hand and made a comment that he wasn’t so sure it was a joke explaining about the facial expressions he had picked up on finishing with saying that she was their Ebony.
Stacey had turned to him and watched as she listened to what he said and soon the laugh Stacey was giving stopped and David then watched as she looked at the girl sitting opposite them. Stacey went quiet as she was obviously trying to come to terms with the fact that this girl sitting opposite them was indeed their daughter but obviously from a future time. Then the girl which David knew to be Ebony stood up stating that she shouldn’t have come. David looked up and smiled at Ebony, “Don’t say that sweetheart, but you have to understand that this is going to be a shock for us, why don’t you tell us more about how you got here as despite not being special I know of Evolved Human’s, your Uncle Dom is one and I am assuming you are from the future?” David didn’t want her running out on them however no sooner did he say that than Stacey wriggled her hand out of David’s which he soon let go of and she approached the girl.
David then listened to what Stacey said to Ebony saying that if she was their daughter then she would know how her name came about as she was sure they would have told her when she was older. David knew this would be the one thing that would prove who she really was because as far as he was concerned, he, Dominic, Stacey and his mom were the only people who knew about Ebony’s untimely and awkward delivery into this world. David felt he didn’t need to hear the girl say this, he was pretty sure that it was Ebony in front of them, but he knew that he should let the girl answer as it would likely be the only way to prove to Stacey she was who she was.

With how her mum was reacting to it all, it had made Ebony so very upset inside. She hadn't imagined her to laugh, or act like how she was. Though she was grateful for her dad to be somewhat calm, what with him being a therapist and all. It was inevitable for him to be the calm one between them, as Ebony knew that over the years she had been just like her mum in most situations, so David had to have his wits about him with both of them in the house. Though there were a few times when Ebony found herself snapping, and getting more angry then emotional, and this made her wonder where that came from.
When Ebony got up, and said that she shouldn't have come, ready to head out, David told her not to say that, calling her sweetheart. She closed her eyes for a split second after hearing that, remembering all the times he called her that. That just set her emotions off again, and felt a tear fall again, but this time she just didn't have the energy to wipe it away. Hearing what David continued to say made Ebony look at him through moist eyes, and when he said he assumed that she was from the future. Ebony nodded slowly, and let out a deep breath.
Then her mum came up to her, taking her by her arms, and asked her one question that she wanted to know the answer of. Hearing what it was, it was pretty simple for Ebony to answer. She slowly nodded, and swallowed a little, then sniffed back some of the tears. "I..," Ebony cleared her throat, "You weren't able to make it to the hospital to give birth to me, and, um, dad had to deliver me as I wasn't waiting." Ebony looked at David briefly, then back at Stacey. "Uncle Dom was there as well, but dad was the one who brought me into the world. You named me Ebony after the street that I was born in. That was before you lost consciousness."
Ebony looked at Stacey, and fiddled with her bracelet, then looked down at her hands. "I am not sure about my middle name, but that is where my first name came from." Ebony looked at her mum, hoping and praying that she would believe her. "And you told me that only you, dad, Uncle Dom and Grandma know about how my name came about. Though I do know, and I had to tell Bethany when I found out, and I guess Uncle Sam knows as well. But that is all." Ebony then quickly gasped, recalling that she just mentioned Bethany, who they didn't even know existed yet. Though she hoped that they just would think that it was her best friend from the future or something.

Stacey heard what David was saying to the girl, who he was sure was their daughter. Her breath caught in her throat when he called her 'sweetheart', and that just made it all the more real, as he sometimes said that to Ebony now. Stacey listened to the rest of what he had to say, and she did wonder, if it was Ebony, how she did come to be in their time now. She saw the girl nod slowly, and then Stacey got up and went to her, asking her the most important question to make sure that it was their little girl.
The girl nodded at Stacey, and started to tell her her answer. Hearing every single word that was escaping her lips made her feel overwhelmed. So what the girl and David said was true. This was Ebony, their little girl. Stacey started to get a little light headed, feeling her heart beating so hard, and then it happened. A tear fell from her right eye, falling down her cheek. Stacey was still coming to terms with their little girl Ebony, who was so grown up now, was here with them.
Stacey bit on her bottom lip, feeling the tears flowing more, but a smile crept onto her lips. All she could do was just stare, looking Ebony over, just taking in everything again. Yes, she definately at her eyes, and just everything about her was just amazing, unbelievable. When Ebony finished telling Stacey about who knew now as well, in her time she guessed, she heard her gasp, and wondered why she had done that. Though Stacey had heard a name that she never knew, but just brushed it off. For now all she had on her mind right now was to do one thing.
Stacey let go of Ebony's arms, and then enveloped her in a hug. Though the tears, she laughed a little, though it was a happy laugh, not one that was making fun of the situation. "Oh my God. Ebony!" All she could do for a few seconds was just to hold Ebony in her arms, taking in how she felt in her arms. Though then Stacey remembered David saying that she had to tell them how she got here as she wasn't special, like Dom. She let go of Ebony, and looked at her questionably. "How did you get in this time? Unless you ended up an Evolved Human? I don't know anyone who would have the ability to do something like this, unless you do."
Stacey knew she had to sit down again, or her legs were going to give way. So she took Ebony's hands, leading her to where they were, making room for her to sit with them, sitting next to David though. Stacey turned to David after she sat, smiling through her watery eyes, "I don't believe this. I just..." She shook her head, then turned to Ebony. "I believe it is you, I just don't believe that you are here."

When David had told Ebony not to go and called her sweetheart he saw her close her eyes for a second and that was another move that made him know for sure it was Ebony, because Stacey always closed her eyes whenever he said or did anything she liked, like when he kissed her on the cheek. Ebony wasn’t saying anything, instead David saw another tear fall and he desperately wanted to just get up and wrap his arms around her to comfort her but wasn’t sure how Stacey would react to him doing that so stopped himself. He did talk saying he knew about Evolved Humans because her Uncle Dom was one and that he assumed she was from the future. Ebony nodded her head slowly but still didn’t really say anything.
It was at that moment that Stacey had gotten up and asked Ebony a question about her name that only she would know. David watched as Ebony nodded and sniffed and then she began to speak relaying the story to them about how her name came about. David hadn’t needed this as a confirmation as he had already worked it out that it was their Ebony from the future, but hearing her tell the story made it all the more real and confirmed what he already knew. By the time Ebony was finished talking David began to smile. “I knew she was our daughter Stacey, after I started putting together all those little gestures, it’s incredible.” He then looked at Ebony and said to her, “You’re as beautiful as I knew you would be.” He said full of pride as he then watched Stacey hug Ebony.
Stacey then spoke to Ebony some more after she hugged her asking her how she got to this time and had she become an Evolved Human adding that she didn’t know anybody who could have brought her to their time unless Ebony did. David thought back to one of the names Ebony had mentioned and knew who Sam was but the name Bethany had escaped him, although he had to guess that maybe she was a friend of Ebony’s. Instead of waiting for Ebony to answer Stacey he spoke saying, “So Bethany, is she the one who brought you here by any chance? A friend I imagine, is she still here, where is she?” David asked in a soft voice and giving Ebony a warm smile. He was hoping he wasn’t sounding all demanding or anything, he was just interested to know about how she got to their time and he wanted to make sure that she would get safely back as he knew that he and Stacey would be wondering where she was in their time.
David then watched as Stacey made her way back to the sofa to sit down and brought Ebony with her making room for her to sit. Stacey then turned to David and smiled at him and he could see the tears in her eyes, nothing unusual to see Stacey get emotional. “I guess it would be hard to believe honey, but you know about Dom, there is absolutely nothing to say that there couldn’t be someone with an ability to travel through time.” He then watched as Stacey turned back to Ebony and spoke to her saying that she believed it was Ebony she just didn’t believe that she was there. David who hadn’t done much since he had figured it out stood up and went to the side Ebony was sitting on and wrapped his arms around her in a hug as he bent down slightly to do so. He then moved away again and sat back down where he was and leaned forward so he could look at Ebony and then said, “I do have to wonder why you came to this time though, please don’t tell us you’ve come back to stop something terrible happening to one of us?” David asked with slight concern in his voice.

Once it was confirmed that it was Ebony, standing before them, Ebony saw her mum bit on her bottom lip, and saw the tears flowing down her face. She then heard her father say he knew it was their daughter, and adding that it was incredible, made Ebony let out a breath and nodded. Without thinking, Ebony had bit on her own bottom lip, pretty much mirroring her mother. David then said that she was beautiful as he knew she would be. She then told Stacey who knew of how her name came about, and had added that Sam and Bethany also knew. Though with the mention of Beth, Ebony had gasped.
But once this moment was gone, she felt her mother's arms around her, which made her feel fresh tears sting in her own eyes. Ebony heard Stacey laugh a little, then heard her speak. With that, Ebony wrapped her own arms around her mum, taking in her scent, a thing that was still the same now as it was in her time. Afer a few second, Stacey let go of her, asking her how she got in this current time, and hearing what she was asking made Ebony bite on her lip a little, and let go of her mum, and began to fiddle with her bracelet.
Ebony looked at Stacey, shaking her head a little. Before she got to answer, David questioned her about Bethany, who she had mentioned. "No, I'm not an Evolved Human. I am just like you guys still." Ebony looked at David then, wondering what she had to tell them about Beth. Well she was a good friend, her best friend, so she wouldn't be totally lying, just leaving out some bits. "And Beth is a friend, my best friend. And she is the one who took me to this time with her. She had her reasons for being her, so I decided to tag along. And she is actually at her dad's place right now, visiting him." Well again not a lie, though Dom was not at the house right now.
Ebony then watched as her mum took her hand, and led her over to where she had been sitting. Ebony slowly followed, feeling how her mum's hand was in her own hand. Soon she was sitting, and Ebony sat beside Stacey. Her emotions were starting to calm down, which she was glad of, and watched Stacey turn to David, saying she couldn't believe it. He replied to her, which made Ebony smile a little, and had to nod at the comment of Dom. Ebony knew a few people who had ability, which made her wonder how much they knew about them during this time.
Stacey then turned back to Ebony, and gave her a small smile, when she said that she believed it was her, but just didn't believe that she was here. With herself feeling a bit more calmer than what she had been before, Ebony smiled a little more, "Well you can pinch me, or something." Then she watched her father get up, and walk towards her. Ebony followed him the whole way, and soon enough he was wrapping his arms around her. She instantly had her own arms around him, just taking in the feel of them, making her sigh just a little. It was definately a great feeling to know both of them were accepting her being there, from the future.
Once David sat back down, he leaned in to look at Ebony, which she knew was a sign. A sign that he wanted to talk to her more. Hearing what he said next made her nod a little, and kind of laugh, not meaning to. "Oh, nothing like that! You guys are still well and kicking back in the future, don't worry about that. Though I guess there have been some ups and downs, but most families have that. No, nothing to worry about." Ebony turned a little in the lounge, so that she could look at both of her parents as she spoke. "I came with Beth so she could do her thing. But now we are kind of stuck for a few days, as she has to get her power working again. So I wanted to see you guys."
Though without thinking Ebony bit on her bottom lip, thinking about why she was wanting to see her parents, especially her mum. "I guess I only have one real main reason for being here." Ebony looked at Stacey, "I guess I was a little curious about my dad. My biological father, I mean. You never mentioned him to me, or if I did try, you would kind of brush it off. So I guess since you are this age, and everything is still in her head, I had hoped to learn more about him now."

Stacey heard what David said to her, saying that he knew she was their daughter, she turned slightly, nodding. Though for her, she didn't know if it was real or not, or if the girl was just doing a really bad joke on her. Stacey then saw Ebony do what she had been doing herself, biting on her bottom lip. That made her add to the whole emotion of it all, making it even more real to her now. David then said that Ebony was beautiful, which Stacey knew to be true. Just looking at Ebony in front of her made her catch her breath. Just everything about her was beautiful, and she felt proud of how she looked and hopefully turned out okay.
That was when Stacey had hugged Ebony, and enjoyed the time they were doing this gesture. She felt Ebony's arms around her, which made her sigh and smile to herself. Stacey had then pulled away, and asked her how she got in this current time, talking about her possibly being an Evolved Human. Ebony then moved away from her, and Stacey frowned a little, wondering what their daughter was going to say about it all. She shook her head at Stacey, which made her raise her eyebrows a little. Before Ebony was able to speak at all, David then spoke, which made Stacey look at him, then back at Ebony.
That name, Bethany, came up again, and Stacey wondered for the first time who it was. Ebony then replied to Stacey first, saying that she wasn't an Evolved Human, basically still human. For some reason Stacey let out a breath with that comment, kind of relieved. Then Ebon turned to David, and Stacey moved so that she could look at both of them occassionally. Hearing what Ebony said in regards to the Bethany she had spoken of, made Stacey nod. So she had a best friend in the future, which she was glad of, and then hoped this Bethany was a good a friend as what Dom was to her all those years ago. Hearing that also this girl was at her father's place, was nice to know as she wouldn't have wanted to know that she was hanging outside waiting for her.
"Well I am glad that you have a good friend to call your own. Hope they are just as good to you as Dom was to me at your age." She then took Ebony's hand, and led her to where she had been sitting. Stacey had then spoke to David, then to Ebony, just not believing that she was here. Ebony said to Stacey that she could pinch her or something, which made her giggle. "No. Having you in my arms before has done the trick." Though Stacey moved her hand, and brushed a piece of hair out of Ebony's face, smiling at her.
Stacey felt David get up off the lounge, and sat there watching him lean in and hug Ebony. She watched as Ebony returned the gesture, and a few tears stung in her eyes, which she wiped at, keeping her emotions at bay. When David sat back down, he leaned over Stacey a little, which led to Stacey sitting back, just taking in what he said next to Ebony. Her head instantly turned to hear what the answer to that was. "God, I hope not!" Stacey started to panic, thinking about her wanting to have a baby, but if it was going to do harm, then she would never suggest it.
When Ebony said 'nothing like that', Stacey let out a breath. "Thank goodness for that." She then let Ebony continued to talk, and listened to what she had to say. Hearing the remake 'though I guess there have been some ups and downs', made Stacey nod, understanding that, and hearing the rest of the sentence made her nod more. She had had her fair share of ups and downs, but it did make her wonder what those were in the future.
Ebony shifted where she was sitting, and continued, talking about Bethany again. Hearing about Bethany's power not working, and them being stuck for a few days, Stacey kind of gasp, then turned to David, then back to Ebony. "Well you will have to stay here with us. I wouldn't want it any other way!" Stacey hoped that she would consider that possibility till she was able to go back, but she wondered if she would want Ebony to go back, but really it was inevitable.
Stacey then saw Ebony bit on her bottom lip, and that was just a sign that something was wrong. She instantly placed her hand over Ebony's, "What wrong sweetie?" Ebony then spoke, saying that there was only one real main reason for being here. When she looked at Stacey, she didn't know what to expect to be said, and waited. Ebony soon said why she was here, and Stacey blinked, and then sat back, slipping her hand from Ebony's. Stacey bit on her bottom lip, not knowing what to say. She definately had wanted to forget that Jake Hanniger had ever existed. "I don't..."
Stacey looked at David, "I don't think I can." She got up from the lounge, and headed towards Ebony's nursery. Once in the room, she held onto the edge of the cot, and just stared at baby Ebony who was asleep still. Stacey then began to feel her emotions coming over her, and whispered to the sleeping baby. "I want to protect you from your biological father. Why does your future self want to bring it up now? David is your father, not him." Stacey then lent on the edge of the cot with her arms, and bent over, crying.

{ooc - hope you don't mind David questioning about Beth some more - figured it would be good for them to know about Beth anyway - David would insist they both stay - rather than being in a house they know to be empty}
When David had questioned Ebony about the name Bethany wondering if that was who had brought her to this time and he had to smile when Ebony replied saying that Beth was her friend, her best friend and that she was the one who had brought her to this time because Beth had her reasons to be here and was currently visiting with her father in this time. David nodded his head and smiled at Ebony but had to wonder who Beth’s father was. However he felt that Ebony had been asked enough questions and didn’t think she would appreciate getting the third degree from him about her friend. “Well, so long as you are both in one piece I guess that’s all that matters.” David replied keeping calm as always.
Once both Stacey and Ebony were sitting down on the sofa Stacey had said that she believed Ebony but just couldn’t believe that she was there. David had to chuckle a little when Ebony said Stacey could pinch her or something. “I don’t think that’s going to be necessary sweetheart, I can tell that you’re real.” The resemblance between the both of them now that they were sitting beside each other really was quite remarkable. David couldn’t help but think to himself that Ebony had gotten all the best traits from her mother, the traits which had made David fall in love with Stacey so easily and knew that Ebony wouldn’t be short of guys following her around or dropping at her feet. David had then gotten up and moved to where Ebony was and wrapped his arms around her and gave her a hug and he soon felt Ebony hug him back which felt nice.
David had then leant forward and asked Ebony why she was there hoping that she wasn’t there to stop something from happening to both of them. Stacey at this point had said she hoped not in quite a panicked voice it would seem. However Ebony quickly responded to this saying that it was nothing like that and they were still both very well in the future. David couldn’t help but relax a little then. “Well that’s good to hear.” Then Stacey said thanks goodness for that. But it still made him wonder why she had come to see them, really there had to be something on her mind for her to want to come, she wouldn’t just turn up for a general chat would she? Ebony then spoke some more talking of Beth again and saying that she had come with Beth so she could do her thing and adding that they were kind of stuck for a few days until Beth got her power working again. Stacey had let out a gasp at that moment and looked from David to Ebony and then stated that Ebony would have to stay with them and how she wouldn’t have it any other way. David nodded his head, “I have to agree with your mom here, I wouldn’t have it any other way either.” It did sound funny to say mom but she was Ebony’s mom, the fact that Ebony was currently standing in front of them as a teenager from another time didn’t change that fact.
David then got his cog wheels turning in his head and couldn’t help but wonder if the thing Beth was supposedly here for had anything to do with the airport disaster Dom had been involved in. “This thing that your friend Beth came here for wouldn’t have had anything to do with the airport disaster would it?” He couldn’t help but ask; maybe it was the therapist in him or something. Then Ebony began to speak again saying that she guessed she had one main reason for being there and then it happened. The moment as far as David was concerned where the shit hit the fan. Ebony asked about her biological father. David knew all about it naturally what with how he met Stacey and also knew that Stacey might not be comfortable talking about it all. However he didn’t want to step on Stacey’s toes any and thought he would let her deal with answering Ebony and if he had to step in then he would.
Stacey reacted in pretty much the way he had thought she would react saying ‘I don’t' and then trailing off and turning to David and saying that she didn’t think she could. Stacey then got up from the lounge and David knew exactly where she was heading. David scratched at the back of his head lightly and looked at Ebony. “I’m sorry sweetheart, let me talk to her, the whole thing with your biological father was tough on your mom, it’s how we met as you may already know as we are sure to have told you at some point. Don’t go anywhere.” He then left Ebony in the lounge room and headed toward Ebony’s nursery. He stood in the doorway and heard what Stacey was saying to baby Ebony in her cot and he couldn’t help but feel a little emotional. It wasn’t often that David let his emotions get the better of him but he felt a tear escape his eye at that moment. He then slowly made his way into the room and wrapped his arms around Stacey from behind and leant his chin on her shoulder. “I heard what you said to her Stacey, but you might have to understand that as hard as it is for you to accept she is at an age to decide on if she wants to know who her biological father is. If she didn’t ask us about it now in this time, she would have been sure to ask us about it in the future anyway. I don’t like the idea anymore than you do, but can we really stop her from finding out about him if it’s what she wants?”
David hated seeing Stacey so upset, and slowly turned her round to face him so that he could embrace her properly. “Tell her the truth Stacey, be completely honest with her about who he is, I’ll be here to support you while you tell her and let her make up her own mind about him. Maybe once she finds out what he’s like she won’t want to meet him and if she does, well I guess we’ll just have to be here to pick up the pieces if it all falls flat.”

Ebony heard her mum say that she was glad that she had a good friend to call her own, adding that she hoped that they were just as good to her as Dom was to Stacey at her age. She didn't know where to look at that comment. If they only knew that Beth was actually visiting Dom, despite him and Sam not being here right now. "I, uh, I think she is." What else could she say? Her dad then spoke more, which made her nod at him, smiling a little. She just kept thinking about Beth, and her being the future daughter of Dom and Sam.
Stacey then David commented on what Ebony said, about pinching her or something. Ebony giggled a little, and nodded, smiling warmly at them. "Okay, as long as you believe me that is all that matters." After David and Ebony embraced each other, David had asked, hoping that she wasn't there to stop something happening to both of them. Ebony had quickly convinced them she wasn't, which seems to go down well with both of them. She shook her head a little, grinning, as she wasn't here for that, but what she was about to ask was going to be difficult for mainly her mother to hear. Ebony soon explained why she was here in this time, talking mainly about Beth.
As soon as she mentioned that Beth's power wasn't working and that they were stuck for a few days, she watched her mum gasp, then look at both of them. Stacey then said that she would have to stay with them, not having it any other way. Ebony wondered how Beth might feel about that, since Ebony was meant to stay with Beth in Uncle Dom's house while he was away. Her dad then agreed with Stacey, and Ebony looked at David giving him a weak smile. "I guess it would be okay. Might have to talk with Beth though." Ebony didn't want her to stay on her dad's house all by herself.
Before Ebony could tell them why she was really here to see them, her father asked more about Beth, and why she was here. Hearing what David said almost took Ebony by surprise, gasping a little. "I, um, a little. She had someone on the plane that was caught in the disaster and she wanted to prevent them from going on. It all worked out well, don't worry." Ebony hoped that no more questions about Beth would come up, as she knew if anymore were aimed at her, she might just spill the true reason that Beth was here, and who her father was.
As Ebony bit on her bottom lip, she watched her mother put her hand over her own. Hearing her mum ask her what was wrong, adding 'sweetie' to the end made it all the more real that she was with her parents. After Ebony had told them both the real reason she was here, she watched her mum blink, and then sit back. Her heart sank as she felt Stacey's hand leave her own. Though seeing her mum bite on her bottom lip just made her know that this visit wasn't going to end well, or rather this conversation. Her mum got out two words, then looked at David, saying that she didn't think she could.
Ebony blinked back a couple of tears, as she watched her mum stand up and leave the room. She bit on her bottom lip, fighting to hold back her emotions. Ebony flopped back into the lounge, looking around, not sure what to say to her father, not even looking at him. As he spoke, Ebony slowly looked at him, and began to play with her bracelet. As David continued, she nodded a little, and felt one tear escape her right eye. Hearing him mention how they met made her nod. She remembered that story well, and had always known that she wanted to never follow in her mum's footsteps. Though she was glad that her father was a therapist, as she knew she could come to him and talk about what was on her mind. Ebony swallowed, then nodded again, when David told her not to go anywhere. Then she watched him leave the room also.
Ebony leant her head back, taking in deep breaths, trying to keep herself calm, but really she was her mother's daughter, and that was not going to happen.
