Thursday 4th March 2010 - 2pm Ebony had a pretty full on week so far. First she followed her best friend from the future to help save Dominic Salvatore from getting on the plane that would make him be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Then finding out that Bethany's ability wasn't working to take them back to their own time in the future, really did it for Ebony. Freaking out was just part of her, and she definately freaked out. But now they were just to wait and see if they could either get Beth's ability going, or if Dominic's manager's daughter could help them in any way. Ebony had then also made the decision to visit her parents, Stacey and David in this current time, and ask the question about her biological father, Jake Hanniger. She never got the answers in the future, so thought she might in this time. After some hard moments, Ebony found out about Jake, but still wanted to see him for who he was, and tell him that he had a daughter. Ebony just felt that he had a right to know, despite all the things that Stacey had told her about her history with Jake, and what he was like as a person. So after some discussion, it was made clear that Ebony wouldn't go alone. Well Beth was going to come with her, but now David was as well. The next day they all boarded a plane, and headed to Los Angeles. They had time to eat beforehand, but Ebony was really nervous, and could barely eat her lunch. Soon it was time to head in the direction of the address that Ebony found on the internet for a R. Hanniger, who Ebony put down as maybe Jake's father. She hoped it was, or she would look like an idiot. They soon reached the front of the house in question, and Ebony started to feel butterflies in her stomache. All she could do was stare out at the house through the car window, and finally decided she had to go in and see Jake for herself. She swallowed, and handed the driver of the taxi some money for the fare, and then got out. Ebony grabbed her bag, placing it over her should, but then couldn't move. She absentmindedly fiddled with her bracelet on her arm, which she always did when she was nervous. Ebony eyed off David and Beth, and gave him a quick weak smile, "Wish me luck." Her eyes diverted to the front door, and slowly made her way to it. The whole short walk felt like a lifetime, and soon enough she made it. Ebony started to feel unwell, and wondered if she just turned around and headed back to David and Beth, then Jake would never know. Though this thought was soon gone, when she decided to knock, and wait for the door to open. Ebony looked around a little, and then bit on her bottom lip a little as she went to knock again. But this time the door opened, and a man stood at the door. Her breath caught in her throat, wondering if this was Jake. Ebony then finally found her voice, "Hi. I, um was wondering if Jake Hanniger lived here."

When their future daughter Ebony turned up on their doorstep David like Stacey couldn’t quite believe it and at first Stacey had thought it was some sort of joke. However David had started to pick up on familiar traits that she clearly shared with Stacey and he soon realised along with Stacey that she had been telling the truth. When she mentioned that she wanted to know more about her birth father David knew that it wouldn’t go down very well with Stacey because of the type of person Stacey knew Jake to be and because of everything Stacey had gone through before she had met David. Deep down David knew as did Stacey that they couldn’t really keep the information from her and when she then stated she wanted to meet him that hadn’t gone down too well either.
The last thing David wanted was for Ebony, his daughter in his eyes, to meet her birth father but he also knew that he couldn’t stand in the way and he didn’t but did make it clear that he wanted to go with her even if he had to wait outside to make sure that everything would go well. Ebony’s friend from the future Beth who turned out to be Dom and Sam’s daughter from the future came with them also.
So the four of them booked a flight and now they were all in Los Angeles making their way to the house they believed Jake to live in with his father. They all stood outside the door and then Ebony gave him a weak smile which he returned and then she asked him to wish her luck. David immediately wrapped her in his arms and gave her a hug, “I’m sure it will go well sweetheart, but we’ll be out here waiting and I want you to promise me that if he gets unreasonable or you feel uncomfortable that you will come straight back out to us.” He then kissed Ebony on the top of her head before letting her go.
David could then only smile as Beth took Ebony’s hand and spoke to her. “I hope he’s everything you want him to be, but like your dad says, we’ll be here if you need us.” Beth then let go of Ebony’s hand and she along with David stood back to lean against the car as they watched Ebony approach the house and knock on the door and when it opened on the second knock David couldn’t help but let out a small worrying sigh because the love he held for Ebony was so strong that it would kill him if Jake rejected her in any way at all.

Jake had had some ups and down the last few months, where it all started in May of two thousand and ten. He loves women, that is very obvious, so when he met up with an old flame from collage, Anastacia Potter, he coudn't resist hooking up with her again. The good old days came flooding back that night, but two weeks later he ended up in jail after spiking her drink. Thankfully Jake got out, where the guy who delt the drugs to him took his place in jail. So he had been a free man, but then again it went down hill.
Jake's father, Robert, found him in Los Angeles, and was giving him a piece of his mind. Jake being Jake was giving as good as he got too. Though after some conversation in a cafe, he broke down. Jake soon was talking to his father like he hadn't done in so many years, and inside it was starting to feel good too. Though this good streak of moving back with his father and starting a fresh didn't last long, when Jake found this new drug called V. He wasn't able to find anymore, probably for the best, but what he had taken was just incredible. But Jake kept hearing his father's voice in his head, and soon decided that it was probably for the best.
So it has been five months, or around that, since Jake has been clean from doing anything bad in his life. He had dated some girls, but always restrained himself from being intimate with them, not wanting to go back to his bad ways again. Jake knew what he had done in the past, and really he had to move away from that. He wanted a normal life like the next guy, and really the next step was finding someone who he loved before anything else happened.
Jake was just sitting on the lounge as he had a day off from his current job, which was bartending, and also playing a couple of gigs a night at the bar playing his guitar and singing. Though he did do the odd day here and there for the newspaper Robert worked for, being a freelance photographer. He went to change channels when he heard a knock at the door. Jake wondered who it could be, as he knew that he wasn't expecting anyone, unless it was Connor.
Jake made his way to the door, and opened it, seeing a young girl on the doorstep. He looked at her face for a second, and wondered if he had seen her before. Though he would have remembered that face if he had, and maybe a name as well. "Hi." He gave her a smile, then heard her reply. Then he heard her ask if a Jake Hanniger lived here. Jake nodded, "He does, and I am him. Who may I ask is wanting to know?"
Jake's eyes moved from the young girl to the taxi outside the house on the street, and he saw a man and another young girl standing at the taxi. He then looked at the girl, wondering why she, or they were after him.

After Ebony said to wish her luck, David wrapped his arms around her, which she returned. As she looked over his shoulder, she bit her bottom lip a little, hoping she was doing the right thing. Ebony nodded when he spoke of being outside waiting, and for her to come straight out to them if Jake got unreasonable. After he kissed her, she looked at him, "I will." Ebony then felt Beth's hand in her own, and looked at her while she spoke. She gave her a smile back, and nodded. "I hope so, and okay." She soon felt Beth's hand leave her own, and she headed towards the front door of the house.
Just seeing this person in front of her, who had just said hi, made her heart beat fast. But her words soon came out, and asked if Jake Hanniger lived at the house. Ebony's hand went straight to her bracelet, and slowly fiddled with it. Then she heard the man say that Jake did, and he was Jake. Ebony could only swallow, and just locked eyes with him, as he asked who was wanting to know.
"I, uh... Actually I am the one asking for you." Do I just come straight out with who I am, Ebony wondered. What the hell, she thought, he has a right to know. "My name is Ebony Callaghan. My mother is Anastacia Potter, and you are my father." Here is comes, thought Ebony, here is the moment when he is going to laugh, or just tell me to get out. She looked away, not sure what he might do, but hoped for the best.

Jake had asked the girl who was asking after him, and had seen the other people out on the street. He knew he hadn't done anything for a few months, so he wasn't in trouble for anything. Jake had been doing pretty well with trying to keep his nose out of trouble. He saw the girl just look at him, and he wondered what she was going to say to what he had just said. He wasn't always the most patient person, and he was still curious why this girl wanted to know if he lived here.
His eyebrows raised slightly when she said that she was the one asking for him. Jake blinked a couple of times, wondering more and more about this girl. Surely he hadn't had a one night stand with her all those months ago. And it couldn't be recently as he hadn't done any of that, well hardly done any of that. Jake nodded at her name, and it didn't sound familiar to him. But then the next name did, and it made him frown, and then was taken aback. "How could you be her daughter? You can't be more than what, sixteen, and Stacey is like mid to late twenties."
He was more confused than ever, and wondered if this sort of talk was just a practical joke. But if this Ebony was serious, then he wondered if they should just sit inside and discuss what she was trying to say. "I am not sure what you are trying to get at, but if you want to come inside we can discuss it more." He might as well give her the benefit of the doubt. Jake stepped aside, and waited for Ebony to come inside. He then shut the door, and led the way to the lounge room, gesturing for her to sit in one of the chairs. Jake then sat down opposite her, and then decided to ask her something, "Do you want to explain to me how you think that I am your father?" He didn't want to scare this girl off, but wanted to know what the deal was.

Ebony saw Jake's reaction to what she said, and wondered if she should have not come after all. She bit on her bottom lip a little, and wasn't sure where to look. Thougg her eyes diverted back to Jake's face, as he began to question her about what she said, mentioning how old she looked and how old Stacey was. Ebony could see this going to go downhill, and began to blink back some tears that were stinging her eyes.
She was tempted to just apologise and turn around, when he spoke again to her. Hearing what he was suggesting, Ebony knew it wouldn't be such a bad idea. If he was willing to hear what she had to say, what more could she ask for. To her, Jake didn't seem that bad, though it has only been a few seconds or so that they had started to talk. She watched him step aside and Ebony glanced back at David and Beth, and then slowly turned back to step inside the house.
Ebony walked in, stopping just inside as Jake shut the door, then followed him to the lounge room. She gave him a weak smile, when he gestured for her to sit down on one of the seats. Ebony slowly sat down on one, and placed her bag on the floor near her feet. She sat back in the chair, and began to fiddle with her bracelet, and eyed Jake off. For a guy his age, she thought he was very nice looking, and kind of cute. Though she quickly shook her head, thinking like that wasn't right as he was her father, well father to baby Ebony in this time line. Who knew what happens to him over the next few years.
Once Jake had sat down, he asked her how she thinks he is her father. Ebony swallowed, then licked her lips a little, "I understand if you are confused, or think I am just some girl that is probably crazy." She really looked at him them, feeling a bit more confident all of a sudden. "But you are my biological father. The man outside is my adopted father. I guess I should start by saying that I am actually from the future. The me from this time is almost six weeks old. I am actually seventeen, and from the future, though I don't have an ability. But that part of the story is a long one. The main thing that you have to know is that I wanted to know who you were, and that is why I am here."

Jake was glad that she chose to come inside, as he didn't really want to talk outside. He had no idea what her deal was, and just wanted to know the full truth from her. Ebony was soon sitting, and Jake noticed that she seemed nervious. He had a lot of experience reading people, especially with what he used to do for a living. Jake was able to use this natural ability to understand people a bit more, which seemed to work for him, and in what he did now.
He soon sat and then asked her how she thought he was her father. Jake sat forward with his hands pressed together, just looking at Ebony, wondering what she was going to say. As she spoke initiall, Jake nodded, thinking that was an understatement, he was overly confused by what she had said outside at the door. Hearing her say that he probably thought she was just some girl that was crazy made him shake his head.
He then saw her look at him, really look at him, and waited for what was to come next. Jake wasn't sure what to make of what she said next, kind of feeling in shock. He frowned a little at what she said to being from the future, stating that the her in this time was almost six weeks old. Jake felt his frown go deeper, and his mouth opened. He heard what she said at the end, but felt like his ears were starting to block, not knowing what to say or do to what she said. She had to have an ability, he though, if she is from the future.
Jake just got up then and headed away from Ebony, then turned around. "So you are telling me that you are from the future, and you from this time are a baby. What? So what you are trying to say that your mother and I have a daughter? How is that possible. I haven't seen her in a few ....." Then it hit him, that time back last year. Somehow that had slipped his mind for a moment. He went back to his seat, and slowly sat down, grabbing for the arm rests.
Jake had always been afraid of this when he had one night stands with girls. Normally they would forget about him, as it was only one night. But Stacey, she was one girl who just kept coming back into his life, all the time. It was always by accident though towards the end. Jake swallowed then looked at Ebony. "I am sorry, I just never expected this. Never in a million years did I expect to meet anyone from the future, let alone someone who is my daughter." He gave her a weak smile, and look at her a little. He could tell that she had Stacey's looks, which was proabably a good thing, and he wondered what she was like. He hoped that she wasn't like him.
"Do you want a drink or something?" He felt that he needed something if they were going to talk about it all."

Bobby had been in his bedroom on his laptop emailing photos to The Chronicle for an article when he heard the doorbell ring. He knew that Jake was in and would answer the door and obviously it was someone for Bobby then his son would shout for him. So he continued with his email and then backed up his photos on an external hard drive like he always did in case anything ever went wrong with the email or the saving of photos at the offices at The Chronicle. A short while later Bobby heard muffled voices letting him know that Jake had indeed answered the door. A few minutes later the voices became a little clearer letting Bobby know that whoever had been at the door was now inside the house and the other voice sounded like a younger girl. This intrigued Bobby because of Jake’s past with women and knew that he was doing his best to behave himself but for a brief second couldn’t help but wonder if the girl’s voice was the sound of another notch on Jake’s bedpost.
Bobby checked to make sure that the email was in his sent box and then shut the laptop down and began to head down to the living room to see what was going on. As he approached the living room he heard Jake question the female voice about her mother and him having a daughter. But it couldn’t be possible, the girl sounded like she may have been in her late teens although if the girl had been telling Jake that she was pregnant by him that wouldn’t have surprised him much. He couldn’t stand it anymore and just as Jake asked the girl if she wanted a drink or something, Bobby walked into the living room with a slight raised eyebrow. “What’s going on Jake?” He asked and then turned to the girl and gave her a weak smile, “I’m Jake’s father Robert.” He offered the information to her and then turned to Jake waiting on him answering.
Bobby found that he couldn’t stop looking from Jake to the girl and then going back to what he thought he overheard about her mother and Jake having a daughter, if that was the case then this girl was his granddaughter and quite obviously from the future somehow, as there is no way in hell that Jake had a daughter the age this girl was. Not unless he had gone back in time and got some girl pregnant in a one night stand before returning to this time. Bobby mentally rolled his eyes at that thought not really putting it past Jake to have done something like that but then he would have had to have the ability to do that, and Bobby knew that Jake didn’t have any powers, or at least none had ever manifested in him. “So did I hear right before I walked in here, that you’re my son’s daughter?” He asked as he looked at the girl again before returning his gaze back to Jake.

As Ebony spoke of who she was, what time she was from, she saw Jake's reaction. Though she continued, Ebony watched Jake frown even more, and saw his mouth open. When she was finished, Ebony watched Jake get up and walk away from her. Here it comes, she thought, here is the part where he tells me to get out of his house. Ebony opened her mouth to say she should go, when Jake turned and spoke, and it seemed to her that he was trying to confirm out loud what she had just said.
Ebony nodded to each thing he said, and when he asked how that was possible, she opened her mouth, but then he trailed off in mid sentence. Ebony closed her mouth, watching Jake head back to his seat. "I am really sorry to hit you with it all. I just wanted to know who you are." Her eyes wandered around the room, then moved her gaze on Jake. He spoke, apologising, and continued to talk. Ebony nodded, "I know. I guess I should have been a bit more sutle with it all." Ebony returned his weak smile, and looked down at her hands. Now what, she thought, what else can I say about it all.
Ebony nodded, when Jake asked if she wanted a drink, "That would be nice, than you." Then she saw an older man come into the room. Ebony sat back in the chair, thinking that it was probably best for Jake to ackowledge the man. But the older man turned to Ebony then, stating who he was. All Ebony could do was swallow, and nodded, "Ebony." What else could she say: Hi, My name is Ebony, and I am your grandchild from the future. No, but she knew she would have to confess soon.
She saw Robert look from her to Jake, and back again. Ebony was starting to wonder whether she should leave Jake with his father, and let him tell him. But maybe not, as Robert was technically her grandfather, and related by blood through Jake. Ebony started to fiddle with her bracelet, not sure what else to say. It was obvious to Ebony that Robert was waiting for Jake to answer to what was going on. But then Robert looked at Ebony again, asking if he heard right that she was his son's daughter. Ebony nodded slowly, "You heard correctly." Should she add more about how it was real, or again let Jake say somethingh. Ebony kept quiet for a few seconds to see what was going to be said.

Jake couldn't believe what this girl was trying to tell him. He had soon tried to figure it all out loud, but it still felt like it wasn't real. Though he saw the girl nod as each thing came out of his mouth. As he tried to understand, Jake soon realised that he had had that night with Stacey last year, and soon it came hitting him hard. Jake soon sat down, and looked at her, as she apologised. He shook his head, and then apologised, going on about not expecting what he was told. She then acknowledged what he said. "No, I guess it is all out in the open now." Seeing her return his weak smile, made him turn away and smile a bit more. She definately had Stacey's features.
Jake then offered her a drink, which she thankfully accepted. He was about to get up when he heard his father ask him what was going on. Robert soon asked him what was going on, and this led to Jake looking at Ebony, then at his father, who then said who he was to Ebony. Jake looked at Ebony, who said her name, and that was it. He let out a breath, then looked at his father, noticing him looking from him to Ebony and back again. Jake gestured to Ebony, "This is Ebony, and she is from the future."
Robert then spoke to Ebony, who replied, stating that he was correct about what he heard. Jake knew that he would have to say something, as it was his father who would be directing questions more to him, rather than Ebony. "Apparently.... no I did have a one night stand with her mother last year, though I have known her on and off over the last few years. So that one night stand got her pregnant. Ebony, if I remember rightly is only a few weeks old now." He looked at Ebony to get that confirmed. "Not sure of why she is really here in this time, but she wanted to find me and see who I was. So I guess she found me." Jake half laughed, not sure what else to say. That was basically it in a nutshell.

When Bobby had walked into the lounge and asked Jake what was going on before he had gotten an answer he had turned to the girl and told her that he was Jake’s father Robert. However he was still waiting on some sort of response from his son about what was going on. The girl gave her name before Jake said anything. “Well hello Ebony.” Bobby replied and gave her a welcoming smile whoever she was it wasn’t in Bobby’s nature to be anything other than welcoming to people. Jake finally spoke gesturing to the girl who had just given her name saying that she was Ebony and for a second he was almost going to say, I already know that, but then Jake added that she was from the future which made him raise his eyebrow a little. “I see.” Bobby replied, well what else could he say, as Jake wasn’t giving much information to him.
Bobby unable to wait for any sort of answers had then questioned what he thought he had overheard Ebony say about being Jake’s daughter and questioned the girl directly about it. She replied saying that he heard correctly. If it had been any other sort of circumstance his smile might have faded because all he would have thought was Jake had got some poor innocent girl in trouble, but Ebony was so beautiful even if she was from the future that he didn’t have the heart to get angry at Jake, not while Ebony was there in front of them both. He put his hand up to his head, “So I’ve got a granddaughter, I thought I could see some similarities between you and Jake’s mother.” Bobby said and gave her a weak smile.
Jake then began to talk saying that he apparently and then said he did have a one night stand adding that he knew the girl’s mother on and off over the past few years and that the one night stand had ended with Ebony’s mother becoming pregnant. Jake then said if he remembered rightly that Ebony in this time would only be a few weeks old and Bobby watched as he looked at the girl to probably get what he had just said confirmed. He was about to say something when Jake continued to talk saying that he wasn’t sure why she was really there in this time but she had wanted to find him and he guessed that she had and then he sort of half laughed. Bobby shook his head slightly, he still wasn’t angry at Jake as such, how could he be when he had produced such a beautiful daughter, but it could all have been avoided if Jake had been more careful.
“I guess this was when you were still a bit wayward then, when this happened? You see Jake that’s why I’ve told you that you have to be careful with one night stands. I can’t help but wonder how many half siblings this girl might have.” No sooner had he said the words he slightly regretted them, as it really wasn’t the kind of thing to be saying to his son in front of this girl, well, in front of his granddaughter. He gave Ebony a weak smile then, “I’m sorry, that probably wasn’t something you had to hear. Jake’s changed a lot over the past few months or at least I like to think he has.” But still there was that girl who had claimed Jake had raped her, hadn’t he heard a rumour at the newspaper that she had gotten pregnant? Well there was no point in bringing that up, it wouldn’t be fair to Ebony.

She gave Robert a smile, when he said hello to her. Ebony watched as Jake told his father who she was and where she came from. Straight to the point, she thought, knowing sometimes she occassionally did the same thing. But Jake had yet to say who she really was to his father, and didn't know how that would go, as really it was probably bad enough to know that she was from the future. It was going to be even worse to know that she was his granddaughter from the future. Though all Robert said was 'I see', and she wondered what he was thinking, wishing she had some sort of ability to read people's mind, not just being a normal human being.
Ebony had then confirmed what Robert had asked her, and seeing Robert react made her bit on her bottom lip a little. She nodded at his response, giving him a small smile. Hearing him then add towards the end that he saw some similarities between herself and Jake's mother made her smile a little, "Really?" She felt herself smile a bit more, and looked around to see if there were any pictures of her in the house. "May I see some later?" She thought she had better ask just in case she did see one that might be his mum.
Jake then spoke more about it all, talking about the one night stand he had with Stacey, which had resulted in the pregnancy, and commenting on how old Ebony was now in this current time. Ebony nodded, "Almost six weeks now." She listened to what else Jake had to say, and then watched him half laugh, and to Ebony it sounded like a nervous or unsure laugh. Ebony then saw Robert shake his head a little, wondering what he might say to what Jake said. For her to hear all that was stating to be okay, as her mum said a lot of negative things about Jake, and she guessed now was the time to hear what he had to say about some things.
Robert then commented, and she watched him talk to Jake more than herself. Once he said what he said, Robert apologised. Ebony gave him a weak smile, shaking her head a little, "It's okay. I guess it isn't meant to be, but I have my best friend to keep me company." She briefly glanced out towards the door where Bethany and her father were standing only a few metres away on the road. Ebony then listened to what else Robert had to say, and glanced at Jake as he said a couple of things. When Robert was finished, Ebony looked at Jake, "Well I have only gotten to talk to him for a few minutes, but maybe he has."
She then fiddled with her bracelet a little, and then looked back at Jake, "Though I guess we have a few things to talk about. I have spoken to my mum about this all before coming here. She wasn't too keen on me coming, but I am old enough to know my real father. I guess if she doesn't want to know you anymore, I would like the opportunity to." Ebony gave him a bit more of a brighter smile, and felt a tear in her eye. She quickly wiped it away giggling a little. "Sorry, I guess I got the emotions off mom."

After Jake had said who she was, and that she was from the future, all his father said was 'I see'. He raised his eyebrows, then though his father might say more, or something. It was like dragging water from a dry well sometimes, and no wonder his anger sometimes got the better of him in some situations.
Hearing his father's reply of having a granddaughter made Jake nod slightly, knowing that he was probably aiming the comment to Ebony more than himself. Jake had never gone back to any of the girls or women he had slept with to see if anything eventuated, despite most of them being aspiring actresses or models. Just sometimes he never really thought about it, as he had already moved on. Then Robert said that he could see some similarities between Ebony and his mother. Jake hadn't really looked at Ebony to really notice or even think about that. But as he looked, there were a couple of facial features that were similar, so maybe she had some connection to him then, just hoped she didn't have his habits.
When Jake spoke about the finer details in a compressed exchange of words, he had then looked at Ebony as he said that she was a few weeks old now. Ebony said that she was almost six weeks old. Jake nodded, then continued on with what else he wanted to say, finishing it off with a half laugh. He saw his father shake his head after all of that, making Jake wonder what was to come. Jake had a feeling his father wouldn't be happy with what was just said, but it happened, and now they were seeing Ebony now, well the future version at least.
Robert soon spoke, and the first thing was kind of what he was expecting. Jake nodded, then waited for the harsh words to be said. Things had been going great with his dad, but this little bit of history now was going to hit him over the head. Jake felt like he was letting his father down now, after hearing his last comment. Though hearing the last thing made him wonder the same now. But was it really worth it tracking down all the girls and women that he had shared a one night stand with? Probably not. Robert then apologised, which Ebony had shaken her head to, soon responding back. Jake had hoped that that topic wouldn't be open for discussion, and thank goodness it wasn't.
Jake then listened to what Robert had to say about Jake in general, and he gave his dad a weak smile. Well he had tried, but there was that one time when he was going to to dabble in the V drug, but it didn't eventuate. Then Jake turned to Ebony as she spoke, and hearing that Stacey didn't want anything to do with him, he nodded, and could kind of understand that. But he hoped that when Ebony went back to her and told her how the meeting went that she would change her mind. Seeing that smile she had, made him smile back at her. She was Stacey all over, especially the smile, and the biting of the bottom lip he had seen a few times since she had been here.
Ebony had then wiped a tear away, and hearing what she said, Jake had to nod. "I do remember Stacey being a bit emotional, especially during s..." He stopped himself, knowing that Ebony and his father for that matter didn't want to hear how the sex was. Jake coughed a little then. "So how about that drink then?"

When Bobby had said that he could see some similarities between Ebony and Jake’s mother he saw Ebony smile a little and then ask ‘really?’ and Bobby nodded his head giving her a bit of a bigger smile, “Really.” He confirmed and watched as she looked around possibly looking for some photographs of Jake’s mother and then that thought was confirmed when she asked if she could see some later. Bobby gave her a bigger smile and nodded his head, “Sure sweetheart I can show you some photos of her.” He then walked toward the display cabinet and pulled down a frame of Jake’s mother Claudia holding Jake as a baby and handed it to her. “This is Claudia holding Jake as a baby; I’ve a few more recent ones I can show you later though.” As he looked at the photo before handing it over to Ebony he confirmed his own thoughts that there were indeed some similarities between Ebony and Claudia, not many, but enough subtle ones.
Bobby had then had a bit of a go at Jake about the trouble of sleeping with random women and had then apologised to Ebony saying that she didn’t really need to hear that. Ebony soon said it was okay and said she had her best friend to keep her company. Bobby then watched as she glanced out to where he could see a car waiting with a man and a young girl. “That’s good to hear then.” He wanted to ask who the man was but decided that it wasn’t any of his business so stayed quiet. Bobby had then added that Jake had changed or liked to think he had and he had to smile at what Ebony had to say to that. “Well, maybe you can stay a bit longer and talk more and get to know him more. I mean I know in this time you’re only a baby but you’re still my granddaughter and Jake’s daughter, would be good to get to know you.” Bobby said hoping that it would make the girl feel welcome.
Bobby noticed that Jake never really said anything to him about what he had said with regards to randomly sleeping with women and not being careful, even when he added that he liked to think Jake had changed Jake never really said anything but did catch the weak smile and all Bobby could do was to shake his head but give him a weak smile back. The last thing Bobby wanted was to fall out with his son as things had been going great recently and he didn’t want anything to be set back. When Ebony got a little emotional and then apologised for it Bobby was going to say something but Jake got in first and he knew exactly what he was going to say before he stopped himself. Bobby just looked at him with a raised eyebrow, “Jake?! “ He exclaimed but couldn’t help but chuckle a little. When Jake asked about the drink Bobby nodded his head, “I think that’s a good idea, wouldn’t mind getting to know my granddaughter a bit more too.”
{ooc - I don't know if you think this finishes it or not - let me know and if you want me to post as David again or not to ask how it went or something.}

(ooc - I don't think that there really needs to be a finishing post after this thread.... if I got David to come into it it might end up going still for a while, or for a few more posts at least, so I think this finishes it well.)
