Friday, 26th February 2010 Josh just started back at uni on Monday, and already he was stuffed from it all. He hadn't had that many classes for his architecture classes, but all the assignments and things that were due by certain dates were doing his head in. At least on the weekend he was able to take out his frustration by working on the construction site. But really that wasn't hard work, what with being able to lift excessive amounts of weight and also moving things like rocks with his mind. Though he didn't always use them at work, he liked working hard and getting that well deseved tan outside from the sun. It was late morning, and Josh decided that he deserved to head to a local bar, which might be fun to just sit and relax in. One of his mates told him about this one bar that had karaoke, even though Josh didn't sing in public. But he though it would be good for a laugh, so decided to go and check it out. Josh went in and sat down. When a waitress came over, he smiled at her, seeing that she was pretty, "What can I getcha gorgeous?" "I will have a cold glass of Coke thanks." The waitress nodded, then headed off to get him that drink. Josh sat back, with his hands behind his head, and turned towards the stage for the karaoke. There was a Japanese couple trying to belt out a Britney Spears song, but they weren't doing a very good job of it. Josh cringed, and then the waitress came back with his drink. "Here you go hun." He nodded, smiling, and handed her a ten dollar note. "Keep the change, or buy yourself a drink." "Why thank you." Josh nodded, picking up his glass, and taking a long drink, wondering who else might get up on stage for the afternoon.

Xander had been at Dominic for a while now to have a talk with his daughter about trying to coax her into a singing career. Just now she was an intern at the local newspaper and magazine but she had such an awesome voice that Xander wanted her follow in her father’s footsteps. Dom had heard Tonya sing a few times and he had to agree with her father she had an exceptional voice. Knowing that he was going to be heading off for a week for his small tour and interview sessions to promote his forthcoming album he had told Xander he would spend some time with Tonya the day before and see what he could do. Xander and Tonya had moved to California because there were too many bad memories of Tonya’s estranged mother in Las Vegas for them and Xander had moved the studio to California as well and now it was like four times the size it previously was.
Dominic knew that he could drive to California but he also knew that it would take him between three to four hours to get there, and although he could have left in the morning to get there in plenty of time, he wanted to be able to spend some time with Sam later that evening and night knowing that he was going to be missing him for a whole week. So he decided to use his ability of flight to get him there. He landed in the back garden of the new rather luxurious house of the Fords and soon after knocking on the door Tonya had come bounding out and gave Dom a massive hug and then he took her to a bistro, one which had a karaoke knowing that she could never resist having a go on it.
Once inside Dominic saw a Japanese couple on singing a Britney Spears song and well they weren’t the best he had ever heard. He playfully nudged into Tonya and leant in to her ear and said, “Now that is what I call bad singing sweetie, you know you have a good voice, why don’t you just please your dad and give it a go?” Dom said as he led the two of them to a table and then asked Tonya what she wanted to drink before going to the bar to place their orders. Once he got their drinks he made his way back to the table again and sat down passing Tonya her drink and then he began to try and wear her down again a little. “You know I’m only doing this because your father keeps wearing me down right sweetie?” He giggled a little and then took a sip of his Smirnoff Ice, yes Dominic liked the drinks most guys classed as a woman’s drink.

{ooc - see even Dominic makes Tonya laugh at the wrong moments lol} Tonya and her father had moved to California because there were too many bad memories for them in Las Vegas of her estranged mother plus Xander had managed to get his hands on a much better and far bigger studio which he said would be better for recording indoor scenes of music videos for his stars, in particular Dominic. He loved him, Tonya could see it in her father’s face every single time he spoke of him. However he had been trying to get her to launch a singing career because apparently she had a great voice. Well she didn’t think she had a bad voice per say, but she didn’t think she was all that good either. Comparing herself to the likes of Kristin Taylor and well Dom himself, she felt she wasn’t a patch on them. However it would seem that her father got under Dominic’s skin and had asked him to talk to her about it all. So she knew that she was going to be having a little pep talk from the one and only Dominic Salvatore and in a way she was kind of excited about it, not that she hadn’t met him before, what with him being one of her father’s stars she had met him plenty of times, but never alone, Xander was usually with them. Soon enough she heard a knock at the door and she came bounding out and threw her arms around Dom giving him a massive hug and then she grinned at him, “Hey you, yer lookin’ rather casual today ain’t ya?” She said and giggled a little. Tonya’s accent could vary, sometimes she channelled her dad, sometimes she channelled her cousin Brendan, but sometimes she would talk normally. Tonya was from Tennessee originally like her father Xander, but they had moved about so much that her accent was slightly mixed to be fair. Dominic then led Tonya to a bistro and the soon as they were inside she knew the reason why he had brought her there, they had a karaoke and she knew that he knew she could never resist them. She looked at him and sighed gently rolling her eyes, “He told ya to bring me here ‘cause I’d have a go on that thing, didn’t he?” She asked as she looked toward the karaoke and noticing the Japanese couple giving it their best with a Britney song and failing badly. Soon enough she felt Dom playfully nudge her and then he leant into her ear commenting on the couple and Tonya had to look away from Dom so she wouldn’t laugh but really it was too late as she put her hand up to her mouth and laughed out loud and then looked back at Dom with a shock look on her face. “Oh no, I shouldn’t have laughed out like that, those poor people.” Sadly she knew that Dom was right because she had only been thinking the same thing herself seconds before. She then went back to what Dominic had said after that about pleasing her dad and giving the singing a go, she sighed a little. “I don’t know Dom, I don’t know if I could handle the limelight, ya know?” She knew this was the reason why Xander had got Dominic to talk to her because he was going to tell her that it was okay and that she would have plenty of people around her to support her and blah, blah. He then led the two of them to a table and once she sat down he asked what he could get her to drink, and she asked for a glass of coke and soon enough he was back with her drink and a bottle of Smirnoff Ice for himself. He then said that he was only doing it because her father kept wearing him down and she sighed again and then bit on her bottom lip before giggling a little. “Yeah, I know, I know, but I don’t know ya know?” Then she fell about laughing realising just how stupid that sentence sounded and a little too many knows in there. The Japanese couple had finally finished their awful rendition of the Britney song, and Tonya couldn’t resist it anymore, after taking a couple of sips of her coke she stuck her tongue out at Dominic and then playfully poked him in the arm, “Yer so dead for bringing me in here ya know.” She then went up to the karaoke machine and asked them to play the Miley Cyrus song ‘I Hope You Find It’ and the soon as it started, Tonya began to blast out the song, and it was easy to tell that she really was an awesome singer and that she thoroughly enjoyed performing. “These clouds are going nowhere baby, rain keeps coming down I just thought I'd try to call you baby, for you've gone too far out of town and I hope that you get this message that I'm leaving for you cause I hate that you left without hearing the words that I needed you to And I hope you find it, what you’re looking for and I hope it's everything you dreamed your life could be, and so much more and I hope you're happy wherever you are I wanted you to know that nothings gonna change that and I hope you find it Am I supposed to hang around and wait forever, last words that I said but that was nothing but a broken heart talking baby you know that wasn't what I meant Call me up, let me know that you got this message that I'm leaving for you Cause I hate that you left without hearing the words that I needed you to And I hope you find it, what you’re looking for and I hope it's everything you dreamed your life could be, and so much more and I hope your happy wherever you are I wanted you to know that nothings gonna change that, and I hope you find it Whatever it is, I know that you miss it here And I hope you find it, what you’re looking for and I hope it's everything you dreamed your life could be, and so much more and I hope your happy wherever you are I wanted you to know that nothings gonna change that no no no And I hope you find it I hope you find it.” The soon as she was finished she made her way back to the table and smiled at Dominic and then before he would have a chance to say anything she decided to get in first, “No, I still don’t think am good enough.” Which was a crazy thing for her to say because some of the other customers in the bistro were applauding her and she could feel her cheeks beginning to burn. {Disclaimer - I do not own the rights to the song or lyrics, they belong to Miley Cyrus, borrowing them for my character}

As Josh was waiting for his drink, he was trying to block out the Japanese couple who were trying to sing that Britney Spears song. He shook his head, thinking that these sort of people, people who just couldn't sing, shouldn't be up on that stage. Josh turned a little as he saw a couple of people come into the bar. He noticed the guy right away to be Dominic Salvatore. Josh wasn't into his music, but he sure knew who he was. Though his gaze did go passed him, and onto the girl next to him. She was very pretty, he couldn't deny that.
As Josh turned around, he got his drink, telling the waitress to keep the change or just buy herself a drink. He took a long drink from his drink, and Josh then glanced around, seeing that Dominic and the girl were sitting near him. He couldn't hear what they were saying, but he wished that he did. He hoped that he would touch someone with that ability of enhanced hearing, so then he could hone in. Josh picked up one of his books from university to see what he was in store for for this semester, flipping through it.
After a few moments, he looked up, seeing Dominic walk passed, back to the table, handing the girl the same drink that he had. That kind of made him smile, but really most people liked that drink, so was no real surprise. He glanced up once when he heard the girl laugh. It was a cute laugh, and he quickly looked down at his book, trying to make his smile not be noticed. Josh continued to drink his coke and flip through his book, then heard the Britney Spears song finish. Finally, he thought, glad to not hear that couple sing, seeing them move off the stage. As he moved his hand to close this book, and pick up another, Josh saw the girl get up, and head towards the stage where the karaoke machine was. Without thinking, he sat back in his chair, ready to hear how good or bad she was. You could never tell these days. She might look pretty and all that, but she might also be bad at singing.
Josh kept his eyes on the stage, on this girl who was really good. Amazing even, to his own ears. He occassionally looked around, seeing that people were also taking notice. Josh wondered who this girl was, and had this urge to go up to her when she was finished, and ask for her name and tell her that she was awesome. He joined the rest of the customers in the applause, feeling like he was watching her as she sat back down at her table. Josh then knew he had to get up, and say something, so he did.
He made his way over to the table, and made sure that he stood right in front of her. "Hey. I couldn't help but think that you were pretty awesome up there." He then held his hand out to her, "And I hope that you have a pretty name to match that pretty face. I'm Josh."

After Tonya had hugged him she remarked on the fact that he was looking rather casual today, well given that he was wearing a black t-shirt with black denims, his black leather jacket and a hat to hide his messy hair which he hadn’t been able to get styled that day he had to agree with her. Shaking his head and giggling a little, “I guess I am yeah.” He loved the fact that you could never tell what accent Tonya was going to speak in, what with having the Tennessee accent of her father, the Texan accent of her cousin and the sometimes slight Canadian accent of when they had lived there. Dominic found it cute. Soon enough he had got the both of them to a bistro knowing that it had a karaoke in it, and knowing that Tonya would kill him for taking her there.
It didn’t take long as he had expected for her to say something about the fact the place had a karaoke. Dominic just shook his head and grinned at her, “No, he didn’t tell me to bring you here sweetie, this was all my idea.” He knew that he would probably get a punch in the arm from her but he didn’t care. Tonya could sing and it was time she did something about it. They had then both notice the Japanese couple trying to sing the Britney Spears song and he had playfully nudged into her and leant into Tonya’s ear saying that they were what he called bad singing and she could do better. He soon saw her look away from him and then he saw her put her hand up to her mouth and laughed out loud and turned back to look at him with a shock look on her face. This just made Dominic giggle furiously and then she said she shouldn’t have laughed out like that commenting on those poor people. “Never mind that sweetie, what about poor us being subjected to that?” Dominic was never usually a cruel person but he knew when someone should give up trying to sing, and that couple should give up.
He then heard Tonya sigh and comment saying that she didn’t know if she could handle the limelight. Dom knew that she would have said that, “Sweetie, it’s not like you don’t have enough people around you who know what it’s like and will give you support, I mean your dad for one and you got me.” He knew that she would probably have expected him to say that, but it wasn’t a case of just saying it, he meant it. After he had led them both to a table and asked Tonya what she wanted to drink, he had got their drinks and returned to the table and told Tonya that he was only doing it because her father was wearing him down. He watched as she sighed and then bit on her bottom lip before giggling a little. What she said next though made Dominic raise both his eyebrows questioningly with his lip curling at the one side and then it was as if she realised that what she had said was funny and fell about laughing. “Yeah sweetie, a little too many knows in that sentence me thinks.” Then Dominic giggled furiously, this was why he loved spending time with females, girls knew how to have fun. “Honestly though sugar, you’ve got a brilliant voice, you should really give it a go, you’re much better than an intern at the magazine.”
The Japanese couple had finally finished singing their awful rendition of the Britney song much to Dominic’s musical relief and then he watched as Tonya took a few sips of her coke and then stuck her tongue out at him and then playfully poked him in the arm saying that he was dead for bringing her there. He just shrugged his shoulders and giggled, “But I love hearing you sing sweetie.” He replied and then sat back in his chair as he watched Tonya go to the karaoke and request the song she wanted and then she began to blast it out. She was exceptional and anybody who didn’t know that was damn crazy. When she finished Dominic was the first to applaud her as he stood up while doing so. “Bravo sugar, bravo!” He exclaimed and watched as she made her way back to the table he was sitting at while a few other people were applauding her as well. Dominic did notice a rather buff young lad looking in Tonya’s direction as she returned to the table and he wondered if he had thought she was as good as he knew she was. After she sat down before he could say anything else she spoke to him saying no she still didn’t think she was good enough. He just shook his head and grinned at her, “You are though sweetie.”
Then the guy he had noticed looking at her made his way over and stood right in front of Tonya and spoke saying he couldn’t help but think that she was pretty awesome up there and then held his hand out to her introducing himself and then said he hoped that she had a pretty name to match the pretty face and said he was called Josh. Dominic couldn’t help but move to the side so that he could see Tonya from behind where Josh was standing, and began to do kissing motions with his mouth knowing fine well that she was going to kill him, but this was what Dominic did and then he put his hand up to his heart and pretended to sigh as if he was in love and then decided to behave. “Well Josh, I would be so grateful if you could help me persuade her to go professionally, her father who is my manager wanted me to coax her into it, but I don’t think I’m going to get it done alone my darling.”

After she had commented on Dominic looking rather casual he had replied saying that he guessed he was and giggled a little, Dominic had the most infectious giggle, you could be so down about something and you would hear him giggle and it instantly set you off. Naturally Tonya giggled along with him. Dom was like the person who could be everyone’s best friend, he was awesome thought Tonya.
Once inside the bistro she had quickly made a remark about her father telling him to bring her to this bistro because it had a karaoke and when Dom replied saying that no it was his idea she narrowed her eyes at him but smirking slightly also and then she playfully punched him in the arm, “That’s so not fair Dom because ya know that am gonna wanna sing.” However she knew he would know that, that’s why he had brought her here. Then Dom had playfully nudged into her remarking that the Japanese couple were a sign of bad singing, this had made her want to look away from Dom to stop herself from laughing but really the damage had already been done as she laughed out loud. She had then turned to Dom with a shock look on her face saying that she shouldn’t have done that and those poor people. Dom had then replied saying never mind that what about them being subjected to that. Tonya just shook her head and laughed some more but not so loud this time. “Yer terrible Dominic Salvatore ya know that?” She said laughing a little again.
Tonya knew that Dom would have said she had plenty of people around her for support like her dad and Dom. She sighed a little and beginning to feel like she was being worn down she was starting to half agree with him. Maybe she should just agree to get them all off her back. “You and dad, that’s hardly a lot of people Dom, although I can’t deny the quality in the two of ya.” What she meant by that was, that there might only be two people to give her support, but they were both already in the business and had been for a while, so she couldn’t have better people supporting her, but she still wasn’t sure. When she had then said he too many knows sentence she had saw the facial expression of Dominic which hadn’t helped her fit of laughter any and then he had made a comment about it. “Yeah I know, too many knows, that’s what made me laugh, but, rah, yer not gonna give up on it are ya?” She asked knowing that to be a stupid question especially when Dom had then said that she should give it a go and she was much better than an intern at the magazine.
She sighed and then gave him a smile, “Yeah maybe.” Then the Japanese couple had finished their awful song and Tonya hadn’t been able to resist any longer and got up sticking her tongue out at Dom and playfully poking him in the arm and heading toward the karaoke stage and turned back to see him shrug and comment that he loved hearing her sing. She replied back with a grin, “Yeah, yeah, whatever.” Then asked for the song she wanted and soon enough she had blasted it out and managed to get a few people applauding her which had just got her cheeks burning as she began to blush furiously. She had then made her way back to the table and making sure to get in first before Dom saying that she still didn’t think she was good enough. Dom then said that she was, she sighed again, “I dunno Dom.”
Then a guy had approached where they were sitting and stood in front of Tonya and she couldn’t help but think that he was pretty cute looking, but right then she was too embarrassed from the applaud she had gotten and thinking like that just made her blush all the more, especially when he began to speak saying that she was pretty awesome up on the stage and did she have a pretty name for the pretty face. She wasn’t sure where to look and then she noticed Dom move to the side so that she could see him behind the guy who had introduced himself as Josh and he was making kissing motions with his lips and then he had put his hand on his heart and pretending to sigh as if he was in love. Tonya glared at him but knew she couldn’t keep it for long before she began to crack into a smile and then into a giggle. “Am gonna kill ya Dom.” She said and then began to laugh and then he spoke to Josh saying he would be so grateful if he could help him persuade her to go professionally and how her father who was his manager wanted him to coax her into it but he didn’t think he could do it alone.
Tonya rolled her eyes, and still couldn’t help but smile as she then answered the guy who had spoken and introduced himself. “Well thanks fer the compliment Josh it’s very nice of ya to say so, and not that I think am that pretty looking, but my name’s Tonya.” She then took the hand he had extended and shook it. “Pleased to meet ya, and please don’t encourage him, I really don’t know if I could do it, go professionally that is.”

Josh had made his way over to the girl who had just sung up on the stage, and he had to tell her how awesome she was. He had soon gone up to her, telling her so, and then extended his hand, saying he hoped she had a pretty name to match her pretty face, and offered his name. Josh had seen the blush on her face, and he hoped that he hadn't made it worse. It was like she was beautiful beetroot, if that was possible. It seemed to him that he was going to maybe talk to Dominic instead, as she hadn't replied yet. Josh squinted a little, then saw her glance in Dominic's direction, and he turned to see what she was looking at, as she made her statement to Dominic.
The girl then laughed, which made him smile at her, then Dominic spoke to Josh. He shrugged, "I guess I could help you there." He then turned back to her, "If what I have heard is what I have to go by, then I won't have any trouble." Josh gave her a warm smile, wondering why she might not want to go and sing professionally for. Her voice had been amazing with the song that she sung. She finally spoke to him, thanking him for the compliment, and said that not that she did think she was pretty looking, but said her name. Josh smiled, then felt her hand in his own, saying that she was pleased to meet him, and told him not to encourage Dominic.
Josh shook her hand, then let go. He quickly turned and grabbed his stuff off the table he had been at, then came back, sitting on a chair between them. Dumping his bag and books on the floor messily, Josh turned to Tonya. "I can understand your hesitations. But if you are as good as what you sounded before, I don't think you have any problems." Josh was only telling the truth, and sipped on his coke, still remembering that she had ordered a coke as well. He glanced at her, and still thought she was pretty.

After Dom had told Tonya that bringing her to the bistro with the karaoke was his idea and not her father’s he knew he was going to cop it from her and it had resulted in her narrowing her eyes at him but smirking and then a playful punch in the arm. Dom just giggled out loud finding the whole thing rather hilarious. Then she spoke saying it wasn’t fair as he knew she was going to want to sing and he just giggled some more as he curled his top lip at her and winked, “Why naturally sweetie.” He replied and grinned at her. He honestly wished she would just give up and go professional, how the hell she didn’t think she was good enough was beyond him. When Tonya had felt terrible for laughing out loud and commented about those poor people he had told her to never mind that what about them being subjected to that singing to which Tonya replied saying he was terrible and did he know that. He just grinned and nodded his head, “Maybe, but come on sweetie, what’s more terrible, me going on about their bad singing, or their bad singing?” He giggled again knowing that would likely just set Tonya off again.
When Dom had told Tonya that she would have people around her to support her, she had replied saying that him and her dad was hardly a lot of people although she couldn’t deny the quality in them. Dom gave her a warm smile, “See, you know you can do it sweetie and you know your dad isn’t going to get off my back about it.” Maybe that was a slight case of blackmail right there but really there was only so much of Xander harping on about Tonya having a good voice and she should use it that Dom could take. He was trying his best with her but whether any of it actually sunk in or not was another matter entirely. Then Tonya had said a sentence throwing in a lot of knows which made her laugh and caused Dominic to raise his eyebrows and curl his top lip and then Dom commented that there was too many knows in there Tonya replied agreeing and adding that’s what had made her laugh. She then said that he wasn’t going to give up on it and Dom shook his head as he gave her a teasing smile, “Sorry sweetie, no can do, not if I don’t want your dad on my back anymore.” He would get through to her if it was the last thing he did.
After Dom told her that she was much better than just an intern at the magazine she replied with a maybe and then she had taken to the karaoke after the Japanese couple were finished and had blasted out that Miley Cyrus song maybe even better than Miley herself. Once Tonya was back at the table she had made the comment before he had a chance to say anything saying that she still didn’t think she was good enough and he had said that she was. Tonya then replied saying she didn’t know. “Listen to all the cheering sweetie, they’re cheering for you, I could see you having reservations if your father wasn’t already a singer and musician but he is, you have it in your blood sweetie.” This wasn’t an easy task by any means, but then he hadn’t thought it would be.
Then a younger guy approached the table and stood right in front of Tonya and began talking to her, well thought Dominic if he thought she was good enough maybe he could get him to help convince her if he wasn’t going to be able to do it alone. Although Dominic couldn’t help but tease Tonya and had begun to do kissing motions with his mouth and pretend to be in love with his hand over his heart teasing the life out of Tonya. He saw her glare at him and he then put his hand up to his mouth and pretended to be shocked until he saw her crack a smile and then she giggled and said that she was going to kill him. “I’ll behave sweetie if you agree to go professional.” There he went with his blackmailing again, but it was fun. No doubt the poor guy would wonder what the hell was going on between him and Tonya.
Then Tonya finally acknowledged the guy adding that she didn’t think she was that pretty but gave her name anyway. “You are pretty sweetie, just like you can sing.” Dom said and then listened to what was going to be said between Tonya and Josh. Dom had then asked Josh to help him coax her into a singing career and he replied saying that he guessed he could help him with that. “Thank you darling.” Dom replied and gave him a warm smile as he then listened to what was being said between Josh and Tonya. Then she told Josh not to encourage him as she didn’t think she could do it, going professional. Dom shook his head and rolled his eyes, “Tonya sweetie, the cheering from everyone in here should be enough for you to know that you can do it.” He then watched as Josh grabbed his stuff from where he had been sitting before and sat on a chair between them and put his stuff down onto the floor and then he spoke to Tonya some more saying he could understand her hesitations but if she was as good as she sounded before he couldn’t see her having any problems. “Well she is as good as that constantly my darling, she just needs some more convincing.” Dom said as he looked at Josh and wondered if anything was going to happen between Josh and Tonya as there seemed to be a slight attraction between them from what Dom could see watching the both of them.

{ooc - might have to break this out into a single Tonya/Josh thread at some point - just so that the two of them can interact more}
When Tonya had said to Dom that he knew that she was going to want to sing what with being unable to resist a karaoke he replied saying naturally sweetie and winked at her and giggled. She couldn’t do anything but smile at him as it was nigh on impossible to stay angry at Dominic Salvatore he just had one of those faces. After Dom had said the teasing remarks about the Japanese couple who had been trying to sing she had said he was terrible and she had to laugh again when he responded saying what was more terrible, him going on about their bad singing, or their bad singing. She rolled her eyes and laughed out loud again, “You win, I agree their bad singing is more terrible.” She wondered if he would win in the end with his whole coaxing her into singing thing.
When Tonya had made the comment about Dom and her dad not being a lot of people for support but couldn’t deny the quality in them both he replied saying see adding that she knew she could do it and that she knew her dad wasn’t going to get off his back about it. She sighed gently and rolled her eyes but had to smile because she knew Dom was right, once her father got an idea in his head, he was like a dog to a bone and won’t let go until the idea happens. “Maybe Dom.” She replied and then after her too many ‘knows’ statement she had said that he wasn’t going to give up on it was he. She saw him shake his head and said sorry sweetie and no can do, not if he didn’t want her dad on his back anymore. Tonya sighed again but smiled at Dom before replying with, “I’ll think about it Dom, alright? That’s all I’m saying just now.” She probably would eventually give in and give it a go, anything for a quiet life and for Dom to have more of a quiet life with not having to put up with her father going on at him about her.
After she had sung at the karaoke and went back to the table saying that she still didn’t think she was good enough and Dom had said she was, she had replied saying she didn’t know and then he pointed out the obvious cheering from the people in the bistro and that they were cheering for her. He added that he could understand her having reservations if her father wasn’t already a singer and musician but he was and how it was in her blood. She sighed deeply, she was being beat down she could feel it and so she begun to bring out any old excuse to get out of it, “You’re right about it being in my blood, I can’t deny that, but I quite like my job at the magazine working with Brendan as an intern.” She knew that Dom would just wave that away with a hand and say that she could earn heaps more being a professional singer than she would being an intern and she knew it, but still she wasn’t sure.
That was when a guy had approached them standing in front of her and from behind his back she could see that Dom had moved and was making silly kissing motions and pretending to be in love with his hand over his heart. She had glared at him even though she couldn’t keep the anger and then he put his hand up to his mouth pretending to be shocked. She couldn’t take it anymore and cracked a smile and giggled saying she was going to kill him. Dom replied saying he would behave if she agreed to go professional. She had to laugh out loud then, “My god Dom, blackmail much do ya?” She then looked at the guy knowing that she was going to have to give some sort of explanation as to what was going on between her and Dom. “Don’t worry, I’m not laughing at you, just Dom being a smart ass blowing kisses and making love stuff motion with his hands because you happen to be talking to me.” She shook her head and poked her tongue out at Dom playfully. Then Dom had to ask the guy to help him coax her into a singing career and he had said he guessed he could do that and then turned to her saying that if what he had heard was anything to go by he wouldn’t have any trouble. Tonya gave him a grin but still felt a blush over her, “Thanks, it really is very kind of ya to say that to me.”
When Tonya had said that she didn’t think she was that pretty Dom had got in again and said that she was pretty just like she could sing. She rolled her eyes at him, “Alright Dom, thanks.” She could feel herself blushing a little again what with all the compliments she was getting. When Tonya said she didn’t know about going professional aiming it at Josh, Dom had replied saying that the cheering from everyone in the bistro should be enough for her to know that she can do it. She sighed gently and put her head in her hands, then she looked back up again slowly, “They’re probably just cheering because I was better than the Japanese couple.” Then she put her hand up to her mouth realising what she had just said after she had been trying to defend her actions earlier with laughing out loud.
Josh then grabbed his stuff from the other table he had been sitting at and was soon sitting in a chair between her and Dom as he put his stuff on the floor. Then Josh spoke to her saying that he could understand her hesitations but if she was good as she sounded before he didn’t think she would have any problems. Before she could say anything though Dominic had got in saying that she was as good as that constantly and that she needed more convincing. Tonya just gave Josh a warm smile, “Well thanks Josh it’s very nice of ya to say that about me.” She then looked at Dom, “Alright ya can stop pushin’ the guy to help me Dom.” She then sighed gently and rolled her eyes before going into a fit of giggles and then she turned to Josh, “Maybe I could give it a go if ya think am that good.” Well that hadn’t taken long for her to feel completely worn down over it.

{ooc - I won't mind that at all. And sorry it took so long to reply to this.}
When the girl commented to Dominic that she was going to kill him, Dominic said that he would behave if she agreed to go professional. In a way Josh didn't think he would. He had seen a couple of interviews of his, and had a feeling it wouldn't matter, it was probably part of his personality. The girl then replied, which made Josh smile, and side glance at Dominic. She then explained that she was not laughing at him, and commented about what Dominic had been doing. "Oh, okay then." What is going through this guy's head, thought Josh, but then laughed it off.
When Dominic had asked him to help get her into a singing career, he had said that he guessed he could help him. Josh then made a comment to her about her singing, and if she sounded like that he wouldn't have any trouble. He saw her blush, not meaning for that to happen, but he could see that what he said had made an impact. She thanked him, stating that it was very kind of him to say that. "Only speaking the truth."
She replied to what Josh had said about not being that pretty, giving her name. Dominic obviously replied, and Josh smiled a little, looking at Tonya. She thanked Dominic, and could see her blush a bit again. It seemed compliments did that to her, or maybe it depended on who said them. When Dom commented on what Tonya said about not knowing about going professional, even though it seemed to Josh that she was saying it to him, Josh nodded. The crowd had pretty much raised the roof when she finished singing, and Josh had obviously joined in with the applause. Josh then heard what Tonya had said, and he knew what she meant. He chuckled a little, then got his stuff together, and moved it to the table that they were sitting at.
Josh had soon mentioned that if she was as good as she sounded before he didn't think she woud have any problems. He watied to hear what she had to say, but Dominic got in before her, and mentioned that she was as good as that constantly, and she needed more convincing. Josh sipped on his coke again, hearing what she said to him, and then listened to what she said to Dominic. He snickered a little, "Sorry. Hard to stop saying the truth I guess, and there really was no pushing, everything I have been saying is the honest opinion from your first fan." Josh gave her a smile, and sipped on his coke again.
He saw Tonya roll her eyes, and heard her giggle. It was kind of nice to see that she was happy as well as probably annoyed with Dominic from everything that had been said and done by him in front of and behind Josh. Josh turned to face Tonya as she spoke, and then said the thing he had been waiting for her to hopefully say. He smiled at her, "Well I think you are that good. So I think that you should give it a go. If you don't, you might regret it for the rest of your life."
{ooc - actually it would be good as I am having to go back and forth for some reason really bad between the two posts. And I apologise if I missed anything.}

{ooc - no worries Mel - I think that Dom's next post can probably be his last, I couldn't write him out of it on this one as I felt as if it would be too abrupt - I'll have Xander phone him at the end of this post so that it leads to the next one being his last}
Dominic just giggled when Tonya backed down and said that he won and that the Japanese couple’s bad singing was more terrible. So that was strike one for Dominic Salvatore, now would he get a strike two in convincing her to start a singing career? After Tonya’s too many ‘knows’ statement and how she knew he wasn’t going to give up on it, Dom had said no can do because he wanted Xander off his back and Tonya replied saying she would think about it and that’s all she was going to say about it right at that moment. Dom nodded his head, well what else could he do? There was coaxing someone and pushing someone and Dom wasn’t really the pushing type, or at least he tried not to be. “Alright sweetie, that’s all I ask.” He replied and gave her a bright smile, thinking about it was better than her brushing it off completely which she had been doing a lot in the past.
After Tonya had sung at the karaoke which he knew she would never have been able to resist he had told her that he could understand her having reservations if her father wasn’t already a singer and how it was in her blood. He heard Tonya sigh again and he wondered if he was starting to get too pushy with her but then she replied saying he was right about it being in her blood but she quite liked her job working with Brendan as an intern. Dom smiled at her warmly, “Well sweetie, maybe you can do both? Nobody says you have to go professionally full time, you could do it part time.” Dom offered, at least that way she would, what was it Hannah Montana sung? She would get the Best of Both Worlds.
When Dom had begun to tease Tonya and then said he would behave if she agreed to go professionally he heard her laugh out loud and then she spoke about him blackmailing her much. This just made Dom giggle all the more. Dom then sat and grinned as Tonya went into an explanation about what he had been doing to her. She then poked her tongue out at him playfully and he retaliated by doing the exact same thing. “I’m sorry darling; it’s like a brother/sister thing you know?” Dom said giving Josh a bright smile and smiling at Tonya again as well. Josh had then said that if what he had heard was anything to go by he wouldn’t have any trouble and Tonya thanked him. Looking at the two of them interacting Dom wondered if he should make some sort of excuse to leave and let them get to know each other more, he didn’t want to be the spare wheel so to speak.
When Dom had made Tonya blush again by saying that she was pretty just like she could sing, he figured that he should maybe leave it alone and not embarrass her so much, especially after she thanked him, so he just smiled at her. When Tonya said that they were probably only cheering her because she was better than the Japanese couple Dom grinned, “Well yeah, you are better than them, but I think they’re cheering you because you’re damned good.” He just shook his head and smiled some more as Tonya reacted to what she had said with her hand up to her mouth.
Josh had then joined them at the table and Dom once again began to wonder if he should leave them to it. However he had asked Josh if he could help him coax her into the singing career to which she replied telling him to stop pushing Josh. He put his hands up in surrender and grinned, “Alright, alright sweetie, I’m done with this.” He wasn’t about to make an enemy out of Xander’s daughter over it all, if she didn’t want to do it, then there probably wasn’t much else he could do to convince her otherwise. Then those blessed words came out of Tonya’s mouth as she turned to Josh and said maybe she could give it a go if he thought she was that good. To add the icing on the cake Josh said that if she didn’t give it a go she might regret it for the rest of her life. Dom looked at Josh and gave him a grateful smile, “Now you see that’s exactly what I think, you might regret it if you don’t give it a shot sweetie.” Then he turned to Josh again, “Thank you.”
Just at that moment Dominic's mobile rang and he knew by the ringtone who it was. “I just need to get this guys.” Dom said and then he stood up and walked out of the cafe to hear Xander better.

Tonya felt a bit relieved when Dominic said that all he asked was that she think about it, maybe he might back off about it all now, or at least she hoped he would. She loved him dearly because he really was the sweetest guy but sometimes he was as bad as her dad when he got his teeth into something.
After Dom had said that singing was in her blood because of her father she had she couldn’t deny that but she loved her job as an intern working for Brendan. Dom then said there was nothing to say she couldn’t do both. She thought about that for a second, but then shook her head, “Nah it would really have to be one or the other I think, I could burn myself out trying to do both.” She then put her thumb up to her mouth just thinking of the life Dom had and the life that her own father even had and then twitched her nose slightly thinking that it might not be such a bad life for her to get into after all. But she wasn’t about to let Dom know he had won yet.
After Dom had teased her, she had went into an explanation of what Dom had been doing to Josh and then she had playfully poked her tongue out at him, which had made Dom retaliate in the same way. She just shook her head and giggled a little. Josh had replied to this by saying okay then and Tonya gave him a weak smile. Dom then explained to Josh that it was like a brother/sister thing and she had to nod her head at that statement, “Yeah, I guess it kinda is, which gives me the right to punch ya one in the arm and push ya out the door to quit embarrassing me.” Tonya said and giggled again as she playfully punched Dom in the arm. When Tonya had said to Josh that it was very kind of him to say she had sounded good he said he was only speaking the truth which had got her blushing again. “Thanks Josh.” She wasn’t sure what else she could say to him.
When she had said that they were just cheering her because she was better than the Japanese couple she had put her hand up to her mouth feeling terrible for saying it especially after trying to defend them when she had laughed out loud earlier. However Dom said that she was better than them, but they were cheering her because she was damned good. She wasn’t about to argue anymore, she didn’t think she was a bad singer by any means, she just never really had the confidence to go professional, but maybe it was time she did. She was nineteen now after all she should be more confident than she was. She smiled at Dom then and replied, “Thanks Dom, seriously.”
After Josh had joined the table and he had said that maybe he could try and help him coax her into singing Tonya had told him to stop pushing Josh and then she saw Dom put his hands up in surrender and tell her that he was done with it. This made her feel a bit guilty and she could feel her face going red again but not because he had embarrassed her because she had embarrassed herself for going off at him sort of, he was only trying to help her. Then Josh had apologised saying it was hard to stop saying the truth and that there really was no pushing, everything he had said was an honest opinion from her first fan. This made Tonya blush again but she smiled at Josh, “Thanks Josh, it feels kinda cool to know I’ve got a fan already.” She giggled and then she decided to tell Dom she was sorry for how she had been with him before. “I’m sorry Dom I know you mean well, I don’t mean to sound bad ya know.” She then went over to him and gave him a hug and kissed him on the cheek before going back to sit beside Josh again.
When Josh had said that he did think she was that good and she should give it a try or she might regret it for the rest of her life she didn’t get to respond before Dom had said pretty much the same thing and then thanked Josh. She ran her hand through her hair and looked away from the both of them for a second or two and then turned back to the both of them, “Hell why not, might as well give it a go, I ain’t gonna be as bad as them that’s fer sure.” Tonya then began to giggle and then Dom’s mobile began to ring and Tonya knew the tone that Dom had for her father, so she knew that it was her dad calling probably trying to find out how Dom’s persuasion had gone. “Okay Dom, no worries.” She said to him and then as he stepped out she turned to Josh with a bright smile on her face.
“Well, that didn’t take much persuading did it? But then it’s kind of difficult to say no to a guy who can kill ya with his best puppy dog impression and another really good looking guy who tells ya that ya might regret it if ya don’t give it a try.” She then felt her face going red again realising what she had just said to Josh, but the truth of the matter was Josh was pretty damned hot looking she would be mad not to see that.

After Tonya had told Josh what Dom said, Dom soon replied saying that it was like a brother sister thing, which made Josh nod. Tonya soon replied, acknowledging it, and then told Dom what she would be allowed to do. Josh was just enjoying the banter between them, and could tell that they were probably close as siblings could be. When Josh had said to her that he was only speaking the truth, he though he noticed a small tinge of red come over Tonya's face, as she thanked him, but he didn't say anything, just nodded his head once.
Soon after Josh joined them, Dom asked him to help him to get Tonya to basically agree to her getting into a singing career. Josh had soon joined in the talk, saying that there was no pushing, only saying his honest opinion from her first fan. Dom put his hands up in surrender, pretty much backing down, saying he was done with it. Tony soon looked at Josh, and basically said she could give it a go if he thought she was that good. Tonya then said sorry to Dom, and got up to give him a hug and a kiss, which made Josh turn away a little, drinking the rest of his coke, and placed the glass on the table.
Josh had nodded, saying that if she didn't give it a go, she might regret it for the rest of her life. Dom then added that that was exactly what he was thinking. He then thanked Josh, who gave him a smile back, and then turned back to look at Tonya. She then said that she might as well give it a go, adding that she wasn't going to be a bad as them, referring to the couple who had sung before her. Josh snickered a little, nodding. "I can't disagree with that." He lent into Tonya. "They were pretty bad." Then Dom's phone rang, and he soon excused himself. Josh just nodded in acknowledgment, then turned back to Tonya, sitting back in his chair a bit.
Josh returned the smile that Tonya was giving him, and listened to what she said. He shook his head, when she said that it didn't take much persuading. Josh was happy that she was agreeing to start a career off in being a performer. If what he had heard from her before was anything to go by, she was sure to win over a few hearts, as she had done his already. She continued to talk, and the last part made him raise his eyebrows a little. Josh then saw her face flush. "Well then, I am glad that I said it. Now you are going to head off into the big bad world of music. And I am sure that Dominic will help you along the way."
He had no idea about how the industry worked, what with only being a collage student who was going on a completely different path. Josh looked around, then turned back to Tonya. "So, uh, what sort of music are you into?" He didn't know what to say. He hadn't been with a girl in a few months, and who would want to be with someone who was now a walking freak, thanks to his father.

When Dom had suggested that Tonya could do both, sing and work as an intern she looked to be thinking about it but then shook her head saying that it would have to be one or the other as she could burn herself out trying to do both. Dom knew that was true but he had wondered if a little bit of reverse psychology would have worked on her and that’s what he was trying to do. The singing career would be the better choice for Tonya. “Well do the singing then sugar.” Dom replied and giggled a little knowing that he was once again pushing her slightly but he didn’t care, he would put Tonya down the path of singing if it was the last thing he did just so he could get Xander off his back.
When Dom had then said that what he and Tonya had was like a brother/sister thing she had agreed and then said that it gave her the right to punch him in the arm and push him out the door if he didn’t quit embarrassing her and then she playfully punched him in the arm. He just playfully raised his eyebrow at her and giggled and then put his hands up in surrender saying, “Alright sweetie, I’ll behave.” Although if you believed that you would believe anything, Dominic Salvatore could be very mischievous when he wanted to be.
After Dom had told Tonya that they were cheering her because she was damned good it would seem by her reply that maybe he was finally getting through to her as she smiled at him and then thanked him, adding seriously at the end. He gave her a warm smile and nudged her playfully, “You’re welcome sweetie.” He just wanted for her to give it a try if she didn’t like it or didn’t think she could cope with it then she could give it up, he was pretty sure that her cousin would take her back as intern again at the drop of a hat.
After Dom had put his hands up in surrender again saying that he was done with trying to get her on the musical career path he saw Tonya go red in the face and then after telling Josh it was kinda cool to have her first fan she turned to him and apologised saying she knew he meant well and didn’t mean to go off at him. He shrugged slightly, “It’s alright sweetie, apology accepted although there’s nothing to apologise for really.” Tonya then stood up and hugged him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Dom returned the hug and kissed her back on the cheek too. He was glad that she had calmed down, the last thing he wanted to do was make an enemy of his manager’s daughter, it wouldn’t do very good because he saw Tonya a lot when he was at the studio, and it could have gotten very awkward.
When Tonya finally said that she would give it a go making the comment that she couldn’t be as bad as the Japanese couple Dom couldn’t help but grin. Then he said, “That’s the spirit sweetie.” Dom’s mobile then rang and he said he had to take the call and had stepped out of the cafe. After his call with Xander was finished he walked back in. “Your dad seems quite happy that we managed to persuade you into giving it a go and he also wants me at the studio, discussions about a photoshoot, he trusts that you’ll make your way back home safely.” Dom said and then just because he couldn’t help himself and he was playful he said, “Don’t do anything I would do my lovelies.” He then planted a kiss on Tonya’s cheek and held his hand out to Josh to shake it, “Pleasure to meet you darling, maybe we’ll be seeing more of each other sometime soon.” He then turned to Tonya gave her a wink and exited out the door before she could get back at him for the wink.

When Tonya had said it would have to be either the singing or the intern job because she didn’t want to do both and burn herself out Dom replied saying for her to do the singing then and she was seriously beginning to think about it now. It couldn’t be that tough out there and she would have her dad, she would have Dominic and by the way things were going with Josh it looked as if she would have him too for support. She grinned at Dom then and shook her head, she knew he wouldn’t let it go because Xander wouldn’t let it go and she had to give Dom an easier life from her dad. She sighed a little feeling completely defeated now and put her hands on the table flat and sort of shrugged and pouted her lips a little and then laughed a little, “Alright, maybe the singing has that little more of an edge, but I still ain’t said yeah.” She added the last part knowing that Dom would have jumped on her earlier words otherwise.
When Tonya had agreed that what she and Dom had was like a brother/sister thing she had said it gave her the right to punch him in the arm and push him out the door to quit embarrassing her and then she had playfully punched him in the arm. She had to giggle as Dom put his hands up in surrender again and said he would behave. She just shook her head and gave him a smile that said ‘yeah, right’ and with a raised eyebrow because if there was something Dominic couldn’t do and that was to behave, it was part of his nature to be the way he was and to be honest Tonya wouldn’t want him any other way.
When Dom had all but given up on the whole persuasion thing and put his hands up in surrender saying he was done with it she had apologised to him and he had replied saying it was alright and the apology was accepted even though she had nothing to apologise for really. She just shrugged a little and then stood up and gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek which he had returned making her feel better again. She loved Dom with all her heart and would hate for them to fall out over all of this just because her dad had put Dom up to it.
When Tonya had finally agreed that she would give it a go she soon saw Dom break into a grin and spoke saying that was the spirit. “Well, with you and dad around I guess I can do it.” She replied and then Josh had snickered a little and nodded saying that he couldn’t disagree with that when she had said she wouldn’t be as bad as the couple who had performed before. Then he had leant into her and whispered that they were pretty bad. She giggled more, “Well that’s good to know.” She replied and grinned again. Then Dom’s phone had begun to ring and she knew by the tone that it was her father Xander. Dom had stepped out to take the call and as he did so she had then turned to speak to Josh.
She had said it hadn’t taken much persuasion and she had to smile some more as Josh shook his head at what she had said. The next few words Tonya had said made her blush and she saw Josh raise his eyebrows at what she had said but when he spoke he didn’t say anything about the fact she had called him a good looking guy but did say he was glad he had said it and now she was going to head off into the big bad world of music and sure that Dominic would help her along the way. She gave him a bright smile, “Well I’m glad ya said it too and am sure Dom will more than help me along the way.”
Josh then asked her what kind of music she was into she gave him another bright smile, “To be honest pretty much anything other than hip hop and rap and I also play the piano, I love nothing better than to sit and tinker at the piano. How about you, what kind of music are you into?” Tonya asked feeling like she wanted to get to know Josh more. But that was when Dominic came back in and said that her dad was pretty happy they had managed to talk her into giving it a go and that he wanted him at the studio to talk over about a photoshoot and that he trusted she would get home safely. When Dom added that they weren’t to do anything he would do and called them lovelies Tonya shook her head and giggled. “I am sure I will be able to get home alright.” She then looked toward Josh, “In fact, I might even have an escort, and I can guarantee that we will definitely not do anything you would do.” She giggled out some more then and she felt Dom plant a kiss on her cheek before holding his hand out to Josh and said it was a pleasure to meet him adding that he might be seeing more of him soon and then he winked at her but he was so quick at getting out the door she couldn’t get him back for it. So she just turned to Josh again shaking her head, “Ya really have to forgive Dom, he can be so mischievous at times.”
