Understanding Rapid Cellular Regeneration
Rapid Cellular Regeneration could come in a few strains and forms.
The main focus of a character having Rapid Cellular Regeneration {RCR} is that they can heal from anything to the point of growing new limbs should one be cut off. Someone with this ability is usually said to not be able to grow old after a set age. But it can be broken down in different strains and forms.
Strain/Form One:
The person has no other ability but RCR such as Claire Petrelli - this person will have all aspects of the ability down to being unable to age and of course unable to die. The only way a character with RCR can die, is if they are shot or something plunged into the 'soft spot' at the back of the neck and the item never removed. Of course decapitation can also kill someone with RCR as they need their brain in order for the ability to continue to work, if they have been decapitated, then no brain to heal, therefore dead.
Strain/Form Two:
The person holds more than one power which RCR is a part of through a main power such as Empathic Mimicry. When this is the case the person will have all aspects of the RCR ability other than never growing old. When you have RCR along with other powers, then you will continue your life and grow old as normal.
Strain/Form Three:
The person holds more than one power which RCR is a part of but manifested in its own right and NOT gained through a main power such as Empathic Mimicry. In this case the person may find that they age much slower than the normal human. This will be down to their genetic makeup however. So they may age slower, or they may continue their life as normal, or they may never age. Whichever way you want it for your character, it will be down to you and the genetic makeup you wish to give them.
