Saturday, 3rd April 2010 Lena had such a busy week, and was glad for the weekend, especially when she was able to show her friend, Kristy, the photos she had taken during that week. She was first and foremost the talent scout and movie producer, though her love of photography sometimes got in the way of her downtime, and she had little this time around. But in the small amount she had had, Lena was able to take some awesome shots of where they were filming, The Rocky Moutains. After talking with Kristy, Lena suggested a small cafe to show off the pictures, and also talk about what else needs to be done for whatever the project was that Kristy was working on. She made sure that she had everything with her, and headed towards the cafe. Lena thought of Peter, the man she had met just over a month previously, and this made her smile. Just how the day turned out, after a crap week previously, had made her feel more positive, and couldn't wait to share her feelings towards him with Kristy. Lena soon got to the front of the cafe, and decided to sit outside, as it was such a nice day, and also the tables were undercover. She sat herself down in a chair at a table, and began to look at what they had on their menu. She hated coffee, so she knew that she would just order a Coke, and maybe a sandwich of some sort to tired her over till later. Lena looked around occassionally to see if Kristy was coming, and continued to hope that she liked her photos.

It had been a while since Kristy had seen her friend Lena. The last time was probably when they had planned how Lena would get to The Rocky Mountains for some filming, & hopefully some scenic photographs. Some might say that Kristy was using Lena, but they had a friendship, & it wasn't like Lena didn't get anything out of their friendship. It would come in handy to have a friend who could help with all travel plans & arrangements, especially for someone who often had to move around due to work. Just like being friends with someone good at photographs came in handy for a travel agent; or consultant as some of her snobbish co-workers like to refer to themselves as.
There was no using in their friendship, no matter what her Aunt said. Yet that was what had been going through Kristy's mind as she drove to meet Lena at a cafe in Lower Manhattan. She had left her daughter in her Aunts care, trying to ignore her comments about her using Lena. It all was really stupid, sometimes her Aunt knew nothing. The drive from Queens to Lower Manhattan too just over half an hour, as there was little traffic today. This was a good thing too, otherwise she would have been running late.
Lena was sitting outside the cafe, under a nice cover. Kristy smiled when Lena looked up at her. "Hey Lena, I hope I didn't keep you waiting." Kristy sat down opposite her friend, & picked up the other menu on the table. Glancing at it, Kristy decided to just order a Sprite, since she wasn't really hungry. "How was the trip to The Rocky Mountains?" Kristy asked, hoping that would lead Lena into showing the photographs she had taken. She had been looking forward to getting to see them since they had organised this meeting.

As Lena looked out for Kristy, she soon saw her coming. A big smile crept onto her face, "Hey!" When Kristy said she hoped she hadn't kept her waiting, Lena shook her head, "No, not at all. I only got here a couple of minutes ago myself. Have just been looking over the menu while I waited." She watched Kristy sit down opposite her, taking another menu herself. The waiter came over, and Lena smiled at him, "I will have a Coke, and a BLT thanks." After the wait took both their orders, he left them alone. Kristy then asked Lena how her trip to the Rocky Moutains was. She felt her eyes light up, "It was wonderful. The country side and just everything about it all was just beautiful. I am glad that they picked that area to shoot the film. They had other places in mind, but I was able to persuade them to keep the movie shoot in this area." Lena gave her a big smile, proud of herself for twisting their arms about the area. The waiter came back with their drinks, and then walked away. "Oh, and I was able to process the photos I took for you also." Lena leaned down to the bag beside her chair, and pulled out her portfolio, that contained the photos. Placing it on the table, she slowly opened it up, and turned it around to show and allow Kristy to peruse the photos that she thought were worthy of whatever the project was that Kristy was working on.

"Well that is good then" Kristy said when Lena said she had only been waiting a few minutes. She was glad she hadn't kept her friend waiting. It wasn't long after Kristy sat down that a waiter arrived. Kristy waited for Lena to place her order, before placing her own. "I will just have a Sprite" Kristy didn't mind the fact that Lena would be eating, & she wouldn't be. Hopefully Lena wouldn't feel bad eating in front of her.
Kristy listened as Lena described her trip, nodding along. She had seen plenty of pictures & learnt all about the area, so she could imagine the beauty Lena had witnessed. She had to laugh at Lena's comment about persuading them to just shoot in the Rocky Mountain area. "You always amaze me with your ability to persuade them to shoot where you would like. I am glad that you did get to stay in the area if it was as beautiful as you have said & I have read."
It was then that the waiter returned with their drinks. Kristy took a sip as Lena mentioned her photographs. Moving her drink aside, Kristy made sure there was room for Lena's portfolio. The first two were definitely ones Kristy would try to use, especially the first one. She fell in love with the image the moment she saw it. The beautiful blue sky, contrasting with the snow on the mountains, & the beautiful green of the trees. That would be a strong image to entice people to go to the area. The second also held that, but the green wasn't as powerful.
The last two were a different size to the other three, but that made little difference to Kristy as they were still usable. The first had such inviting colour, with the flowers, along with the beauty of the mountains. Then the second would show the beauty of the wildlife visitors could come across.
Realising she had been silent for a while, Kristy finally spoke. "These are really spectacular images Lena. I admire your talent in taking such beautiful images. you must have a good eye to capture these magnificent shots." Glancing at the images again, Kristy knew that she would have to use the first & last two. Looking back up, Kristy watched the waiter return & place Lena's BLT on the table, before leaving again.
After he left, Kristy explained what she would like the photos for. "Lately we have notice an increase in people wishing to go into the Rocky Mountain area. These photos would be perfect to replace some of the older & outdated ones we have of the area. They are a lot better images than the ones we have too." Kristy paused, before continuing. "If that is alright with you." She was sure it would be, but thought it best to add that bit. Of course Lena would be credited on the photos; as all photos used to promote were. The agency Kristy worked for would get in trouble if they didn't credit sources.

Lena spoke to Kristy about how the trip went, talking about persuading the people she went to see The Rocky Mountains with, to shoot the movie there. She listened to what Kristy said about all that she had just spoken of, and it made her giggle a little. "Well I just have a way I guess. And it was the most beautiful place. I would love to go back, after the movie shoot and just spend a few more days there to relax and get more pictures."
Lena sipped on her Coke while Kristy perused the photos she thought were worthy enough to develop. There was dead silence between them, and she hoped that they were okay, the photos she chose were good, or better then some she had taken. Finally Kristy spoke of the photos, and hearing her say that they were 'spectacular' made Lena smile brightly at Kristy. "Thanks Kristy. I just have a feeling sometimes. Or in the case of some of the photos I took this week, I just randomly take pictures, and then go through them later. I do appreciate your comments."
The waiter came back with her sandwich, which Lena thanked him for. She pushed the plate to one side, and listened to what Kristy had to say next. Hearing what she was going to do with the photos made her sit back. "Oh. It is more than alright with me. I would love to help you out with that." Lena picked up one section of the sandwich, and bit into it. After swallowing a mouthful, she looked up at Kristy. "So how is the travel agency business going? Busy?" Lena wondered how Kristy could sometimes deal with people who are irrate, and then you have the ones who are just demanding all the time. It was bad enough with demanding directors.

When Lena mentioned how she would love to go back Kristy had an idea. “If you want another trip, I am sure that I can find some time to help you plan it. I was actually thinking of taking Georgia on her first holiday somewhere soon. Maybe we could all go there?” Kristy had no idea what Lena would think of her idea. It was just something random that she had thought of, so suggested. She really had been thinking of taking her daughter on a trip, she just hadn’t begun to think about when or where to.
Really the photos that Lena had chosen to show Kristy were spectacular. They would work wonderfully in convincing people to go to the Rocky Mountain area. “You’re welcome. Well you know I find your talent to capture things amazing. But I am pretty hopeless when it comes to photography. I’m always happy to see any you randomly take.”
Kristy nodded with a smile when Lena said it was alright with her. “And I would love to have you help me with it. Your artistic eye should come in handy when designing new brochures & things.” Kristy took another sip of her drink, & then closed the portfolio so the photos would remain protected. Sure Lena should be able to get more, but it would be just awful to see her beautiful work get destroyed.
It was then that Lena asked how her work was going. “We have some slow days, & some busy days. As you can probably imagine, most seem to go into the New York branch not the Queens one I work at. But it’s good. I’m happy & I never feel like I’m being rushed or pushed around, so it’s all good.” Kristy answered with a smile. “Of course there are always those few clients who come in with ridiculous demands that you just have to remain polite to even when you think they are crazy. But honestly I just love helping people, even those types of people. Of course I do go complain about some at times with my co-workers, & to my Aunt.”
“What about you? Has anything new happen in your life lately?” Kristy asked, turning the conversation away from her & onto Lena. It was good to be able to have this time to catch up with her friend. It really had been a while.

Lena listened to what Kristy had to say, in regards to her comment on wanting to go back. "Sounds like a fantastic idea. I am kind of busy for the next two months now with this movie, but we should definately do that. We will have to talk more about it." Lena knew that it would be a great trip, and with Georgia it would be looking at the place through new eyes. She could just see it now with all the pictures she would take.
"Well I did take a few, but didn't process those off. Though can if you want me to, and visit you at work before I go to do the movie shoot." She shook her head then, "And I reckon you are okay with a camera. I guess some simple lessons from me might not hurt though." She giggled a little. Kristy then said that she would love Lena's help with the new brochures. "I do have a couple of days free before I have to go and sit on the movie shoot. Maybe we can do something tomorrow, only if you are free." Lena was starting to think about layouts already, which was silly as she didn't have all the information in front of her for what Kristy wanted to do.
Lena then listened to what Kristy had to say about work for her. She nodded a couple of times. Hearing about the clients, she knew in a way how Kristy would be feeling when dealing with them. For her it was always the directors she hated working for who were just so demanding. Hearing how Kristy goes and complains to her co-workers and to her aunt made Lena laugh a little. "I really do understand about that. Some people in the movie industry are just there to boss people around and sometimes I want to just punch them one." She laughed again, thinking how she had been with Peter about that topic. "And Kristy I am sure you are wonderful with your clients. You just have this way about you that it feels that you are just calm. But I do still understand how clients could really bug you."
As Lena went to take a mouthful of her drink, and then dragged her sandwich towards her to start on it, Kristy asked about her, and if anything hew had happened in her life. Lena cut into her sandwich making smaller portions, and smiled to herself. "Well work is good, and hoping that the director that I work with next is a bit more, um, empathetic. And I, uh, kind of met someone." Lena looked away from the sandwich and looked at Kristy, smiling more. She quickly placed the cutlery down on the plate and wiped her hands on the napkin. "Kristy, he is such a sweetheart, I have been seeing him for just over a month, his name is Peter, and he has an ability, and he did the most amazing thing when we first me, and he now has a child, which came about with the disaster that happened the first time we met, and I have been helping when I can with Miracle, and ...." Lena stopped, finding that she just kept rambling out what she was thinking, and started to laugh. "Sorry Kristy. That all came out in a big lot."
Lena took a breath, and then sat back in the chair, wondering what Kristy got from all that babbling just now. "If you need me to repeat any of it let me know." Just thinking about Peter made her heart skip a beat. He was pretty awesome to her.

When Lena said that Kristy’s idea was a great idea she smiled. “Yes we will have to talk about it.” She nodded, unsure when her own work would give her time off, but presuming that over two months notice would be over enough time for them. In truth she had never had time off from her job before, only days here & there when she had to stay home with Georgia. So really Kristy had no idea how much time she was meant to give her boss before she wanted to leave, so she would have to speak to them when she returned to work after Easter.
“Well if there are any more that you wish to show me you could always just print off small copies, or maybe email them to me. Save printing out these larger photos.” Kristy suggested. She was unsure if Lena had used a digital camera which would allow her to easily put her photos onto the computer & email them to Kristy. That was why she had also suggested printing off small copies of the photos.
Kristy had to laugh when Lena said that she reckoned that Kristy was ok with a camera. She honestly thought she was completely hopeless. They usually came out blurry, or just completely missed what she had been trying to take a photo of. “Thanks. Well maybe one day you will get the chance to give me a few simple lessons.” She smiled at Lena’s suggestion.
When Lena suggested they work on the brochure tomorrow, Kristy nodded. “That sounds like a good idea. But it will have to be after 12 since I will have to spend at least a few hours with Georgia for Easter.” Kristy knew that her aunt & uncle wouldn’t mind having Georgia for a few hours, although she guessed that they would have Easter eggs hidden around their house which would mean lots of chocolate for Georgia. That could get dangerous if Georgia got left alone with it, she loved chocolate & would probably try eat it all - possibly with the wrappers still on them.
After Kristy finished talking she realised that she had said her Aunt, & she could not remember if Lena knew her Aunt as her mother or as her Aunt. Not that it mattered; she just didn’t like feeling like she may have slipped up in her words. A lot of the time Kristy introduced them as her parents, but she couldn’t remember if Lena had even ever met them - let alone what she had told Lena about them. She guessed the holiday season which had her rushed the past week had scrambled her memory a bit.
Kristy laughed when Lena said sometimes she just wanted to punch some of the people working in the movie industry. “Well I would suggest that that may not be the best idea. But I do get a few clients who can make me feel the same.” With a nod Kristy smiled at what Lena said next. “Thanks. I swear I am only clam when I am around others though. When I’m alone I will tear things apart if I need to, to relieve stress.” Kristy joked, laughing when she had finished showing that she was only joking.
While waiting for Lena to start to tell her about how she was, & if anything new had happened to her, Kristy took a large sip of her drink. Kristy smiled when Lena said work was good, but quickly forgot about what she had said first when she mentioned she had met someone. “You did? That’s great. Tell me about him.” Kristy listened as Lena rambled on about the new man in her life - Peter. She had gotten lost a little, but it did seem like Lena had been really busy lately. Kristy laughed when Lena realised she had gone on a bit. Lena then said she would repeat anything if Kristy didn’t get it all. “It’s ok. I think I got most of it. I’m presuming Miracle is his child? And what did you mean by disaster? That doesn’t sound too good.”

"I might do both. Thanks for the suggestion." Lena knew it was always good to have hard copies of images, so that if she wanted to remember something she took, she could flick through her folder, and choose one to use if necessary. Lena had a separate folder of smaller images that she kept for those kinds of things.
Lena nodded, "Sure, I understand. Family comes first. Well what about a late lunch date then. Like maybe one thirty or around that. Whatever suits you to be fair." She smiled, then remember that tomorrow was Sunday, which made her smack her head with her hand. "I am so stupid Kristy, we can postpone it to another day, after I come back from the shoot." Lena rolled her eyes, feeling very stupid.
Hearing how Kristy was with her work made her smile, and nod in acknowledgement. Didn't matter what industry you were in, it was always the same shit that went down. When Kristy spoke of what she does, or probably didn't literally do, Lena laughed with her. "Maybe counting to ten might work better, or if you are on your own, scream into a pillow. It works for me."
Well it was probably a bad idea for Kristy to say to Lena to tell her about the guy she met, as she soon went into a ramble about it all. Lena didn't take much notice at first, but it was one complete sentence. She soon stopped and apologised, though smiled a little at Kristy when she said it was okay. Lena kind of knew it was okay, but it was her personality.
Lena then listened to what Kristy said in reply, and it seemed that she had infact gotten the entire ramble, and Lean decided to take the answer a bit more slower this time. "Yes, Miracle is his child. Let me start from the beginning." Lena took a mouthful of her drink, and began. "Well, I was there seeing this building up in flames, and it was such a heartwrenching thing. It seemed that no one survived, except for this baby, who wasn't that old. Peter was the one who went in the burning building and found her, bringing her out." Lena cleared his throat, and continued. "The police took down that Peter had her, and would try and notify any family related to the child, as they had found her birth certificate.... but her name was blackened over by the fire. So Peter gave her the name of Miracle, as she was a miracle."
Lena sat back, not realising that she had sat forward, telling Kristy the story. "Everything was fine as we both went to buy some emergency supplies after it all, and then when Peter used his speed ability to take some things back to his place that we had bought, a car came out of no where and almost hit me and Miracle." Lena sighed a little, recalling it all happening, it has been rather scary at the time. "I tried to think of some sort of protecting spell, but it seemed that Miracle saved both of us. It seems that she has some sort of shield ability. I am just grateful that we both survived." Lena looked at Kristy, wondering what she was thinking about the whole thing.

When Lena said she might both print & email her some photos, Kristy nodded. “Well you know I look forward to seeing them.” They then were discussing when they would meet up. “One thirty sounds fine with me. Unless another day suits you better?” Kristy shook her head at Lena when she hit herself in the head. She had probably just realised that she had something on the next day or just that the next day was Easter Sunday.
When they started to compare jobs, Kristy shook her head. Of course Lena’s suggestion was a lot better than tearing things apart. Not that Kristy really did that literally. “Maybe I will try that next time.” She smiled, taking a sip of her drink.
Kristy didn’t mind listening to Lena ramble on a bit about the new guy in her life. It was good to hear she had found someone. Kristy figured she would probably end up like that if she ever found anyone herself. Plus Kristy had known Lena for a while, so she knew what she could be like. But really, when it came to some things, didn’t everyone go off babbling about things without making complete sense & without using complete sentences?
When Lena went on to explain what it was that she had been talking about, Kristy smiled at the fact that she was now talking slower. She was glad that she had made sense of what Lena had said, & had been correct in presuming that Miracle had been Peter’s child. Kristy sat patiently, listening to Lena as she explained the whole story to her, waiting until the end before making any comments on what Lena had said.
The whole story showed that Lena really had been busy & that quite a bit was now going on in her life. “Well then, it certainly sounds like you have had your hands full of interesting things then. It is a good thing that Miracle has that shield ability & was able to save you both. That is probably how she survived the fire too.” Kristy took another sip of her drink before continuing. “The name Miracle suits her; especially after surviving both the fire & almost being hit by the car.” Though she never said it, Kristy was also grateful that Miracle had been able to save herself & Lena. She would hate to have her friend’s life cut short. Although Kristy also thought that Lena would have been able to save herself possibly, as long as she had been able to think of a protection spell in time. But she was still grateful for Miracle’s ability for saving her friend’s life.
“It sounds to me like you & Peter will have your hands full with Miracle then. What is going to happen if the police can’t track down her family? Do you think you & Peter will keep her? You two are serious, right?” Kristy knew she said a lot, but it wasn’t her fault. She had a few questions running through her mind, which she just happen to say all at once.

"No. It will have to be tomorrow. Cause after Monday, we are off to start shooting. So one thirty it is. I can't believe I forgot it was Easter Sunday tomorrow." Lena just shook her head, knowing she could be unaware of something sometimes, which was rather annoying.
Lena finally told Kristy the full details in a slower voice, and just couldn't believe all of that had happened to her. Nothing ever exciting really happened in Lena's life, but now it seemed that that was going to turn around for her. Lena nodded to what Kristy said first, "I know. I think due to what was heading towards us, I couldn't concentrate on a spell to save us." Kristy then commented on the name of Miracle, and how it was basically fitting to what she had been through. "Peter thought of it to be honest, and it does suit her." Lena smiled to herself, thinking of the both of them.
Lena ate some more of her food, and looked up to hear Kristy speak again to her. She nodded at the first part, but then hearing what Kristy said at the end, almost made her chock on her food. She coughed a little, then swallowed the food in her mouth, and took a couple of sips from her drink. "The police said that if they couldn't get anyone in a couple of weeks that it would look like Peter would be looking after her. So it has been a while, so it looks like Peter is Miracle's guardian. Peter is looking after her now, so yes he is keeping her. I need to talk to him about making it legal I guess, as he isn't a blood relative or anything to Peter."
Lena then remembered what Kristy asked at the end. She moved forward, leaning her elbow on the table, and placed her chin in her hand. "I think we are serious. I try and help out when I can with Miracle, staying the night sometimes." Lena then moved her chin from her hand quickly and put her hand up. "And before you ask, no we aren't having sex!" Lena laughed out loud, feeling slightly embarrassed that she had said that, but Kristy was her best friend and really they told each other everything, or most of everything. "With Peter, it feels different. Like I know his feelings for me, and I always try and recipricate. But I don't know, he is a gentlemen, if that is possible. Not a lot of guys out there like him, and kind of glad that I met him." Lena sighed a little, seeing his face in her head.
She soon snapped out of her thoughts, and knew she hadn't asked her next question yet. "Enough about me. So how are things for you personally? Anything new?"

Kristy laughed when Lena said she couldn’t believe she forgot it was Easter. “Well not having a young child bouncing around you counting down the days until they can get chocolate could help with forgetting about things like that.” Kristy reassured, referring to her own daughter’s behaviour the past few days.
“Well I can understand that it would be hard to think of something off the top of your head in an emergency like that.” Kristy responded when Lena said she couldn’t concentrate on coming up with a spell. Kristy smiled when Lena mentioned that Peter was the one who came up with Miracle’s name. “Well I think he came up with a good name then.”
Kristy hadn’t meant to make Lena chock on her food. She probably should have waited until Lena wasn’t eating before mentioning anything to do with Lena & Peter keeping Miracle, or how serious they were. “Sorry” She apologised, before listening to Lena’s response. “Oh ok then. I thought that they might do that. But I thought I would check, as you never know they could have made her go into some kind of care.” Kristy nodded in agreement with Lena about her speaking to Peter about making things legal. “Yes you should do that. Making things legal will make things easier in the long run. What with school & things like that when she is older.”
Kristy smiled when Lena said she thought that her relationship with Peter was serious. “Well that is good. I hope he feels the same way.” Kristy laughed, along with Lena, at her next comment. “I wasn’t meaning that, but that is probably a good thing. You should be concentrating on Miracle, not becoming distracted by each other by having sex.” Kristy teased slightly. She hadn’t cared or been meaning that, but she also wasn’t surprised that Lena had mentioned that they weren’t having sex. They were friends after all, & told each other most things – if not everything.
It made Kristy smile more when Lena went on more about Peter. It made her happy to hear Lena had found such a wonderful sounding man. “A gentleman? That really is rare. You are lucky.” Kristy commented in a casual way to what Lena had said. She felt there was no need for her to say any more in response to Lena’s words as Lena would know she was happy for her.
The conversation then went from Lena to Kristy. Sadly Kristy didn’t have an interesting story like Lena did, although she had met someone new recently, it was nowhere near anywhere like what Lena had been up to lately. “Well let me see. Between working & taking care of Georgia, there isn’t much left. I’m still looking for my own special someone though, of course. I probably can only dream of ever finding someone like the way you described Peter though. Not many men are interested in a woman who comes with a child though, then it is even rarer to find one who is nice as well.” Kristy then took a sip of her drink, wondering if she should mention her new friend. She still couldn’t completely believe that she was friends with Dominic.
Deciding that she might as well tell Lena about it, Kristy smiled before getting into her own story. “I did make a new friend on Thursday though. He was a client who came in looking for me specially, as I had been recommended to him. He was really nice, & funny too. He kept calling me sugar. At first it was a little strange, but I got used to it pretty quickly. You wouldn’t believe who it was though. I’m still in a little bit of shock over it. Although I must admit I couldn’t remember his name at first.” Kristy sighed, before continuing.
“Anyway, I have had other famous people come in, but Dominic was really nice. Then at the end he gave me his card with his details, & wants to be my friend, not just another one of my clients.” Kristy finished her ramble, not realising she hadn’t really said that it was Dominic Salvatore, so Lena may have no idea what Kristy was going on about.

Lena nodded, in regards to Kristy's comment about thinking of something off the top of her head when the car was coming towards her and Miracle. She didn't want to think of what might have become of her if something had happened, and what might have happened to Miracle.
Lena just waved off Kristy's apology. Once she explained what was happening with Miracle, she listened to what Kristy had to say. "I don't know how she would have gone with other people, though I guess Peter and I aren't her parents either. But she had seemed to attached herself to us which I guess is a good sign." Then Kristy commented about it being a good thing to get all legal, adding things like when it comes time for school and other things it will make it easier. "Yeah, I agree. Just need to talk to Peter about it all more." Really it wasn't her full decision, it would be up to Peter more.
Lena had felt a bit embarrassed when she mentioned that they hadn't had sex yet, but it was Kristy, so she was starting to feel less embarrased about it. Lena snickered at what Kristy said, and then nodded at what she said about concentrating on Miracle. Really, she was the number one priority right now in both their lives, and Lena knew that she would do anything for her already. "I agree Kristy. But I am sure that when the time does come, I know it will be wonderful." Lena sighed, and smiled to herself. She had only been with one guy, but that was like a lifetime ago. So for her when it does happen, it would be like her first time all over again.
Lena giggled a little at what Kristy said about Peter being a gentleman. "I don't know if you would call it luck, but I do feel lucky to have met him." She rested her chin in her hand, "It has been so long since I dated or slept with anyone, I feel a little rusty. I was just thinking that if and when Peter and I do end up making love, it will feel like my first time all over again. If that makes sense." Lena gave Kristy a small smile, feeling a little nervous now, just thinking about it.
Lena soon asked Kristy what she had been up to. She sipped on her drink, and listened to what Kristy had to say. It was still good to hear that she was doing well, even if nothing was happening like what had happened. Normal was good, especially if it felt comfortable and not rushed. "I am sure you will find someone Kristy. What is not to love about you? And who wouldn't love Georgia. She is such a cutie." But she got what Kristy said about guys not wanting to really date someone with a kid. That was just sad, sine the guy should be supportive and loving towards both the female and the child in question. Lena never understood it, but sometimes guys were hard to read anyway.
Then Kristy said that she made a new friend, which made Lena sit up in her seat. She was all hears to hear who it was. As Kristy spoke, Lena was waiting for the famous person's name, and still nothing. She felt like telling Kristy to spill already, but kept quiet. All she did was raise her eyebrows, waiting in anticipation. Then Kristy spoke more, and heard the name Dominic. It didn't really click who the Dominic could be, and she listened to the rest of what Kristy said. "That's really good Kristy." Again she rested her chin in her hand, "So is this Dominic single? Maybe he might be more than a friend down the track?" Lena had to laugh at what she said, thinking that maybe if this Dominic wanted to be her friend, then maybe if they saw more of each other, they might become more than friends.

When Lena said that Miracle had seemed to have attached herself to Peter & herself, Kristy smiled, nodding in agreement. “Yes that is good that she has connected with you like that. Also good that they now won’t try taking her away from people she is comfortable with.” After Kristy commented on how it would be good for Peter to make things legal, she nodded in agreement with what Lena said. “Of course, it will be up to him. I was just saying how it would be easier for him in the long run, for school & things, if he was her legal guardian.”
Kristy nodded when Lena said that when Peter & her do have sex for the first time it would be wonderful. “The fact that you love him, & that you are waiting will probably add to how wonderful it will be too.” Kristy commented casually, taking a sip of her drink. She wasn’t completely sure if it would be Lena’s first time or her just her first time with Peter, but she was sure that it would still be that wonderful experience like the first time even if it wasn’t going to be Lena’s first time. Although what did Kristy know really? The only guy she had ever gone that far with was her daughter’s father, so she hadn’t had the experience of the first time with another guy - one she really loved & cared about yet.
Lena then confirmed for Kristy that she had had sex before, which she had thought to be true. “You’re not alone in feeling rusty. It must be around 3 years since I have dated or slept with anyone either.” Kristy responded, hoping to reassure Lena a little. “It does make sense, & I agree it probably will be.” Kristy smiled when Lena said that her first time with Peter would feel like her first time again.
When the conversation had then moved onto Kristy, Kristy had mentioned how her life was just the usual same thing, & how she was still yet to meet anyone special. She smiled at Lena’s response, shrugging. “Who knows? But I am pretty sure that they hear the word mother or child, & run the other way.” Kristy laughed, rolling her eyes. It really was ridiculous the way some guys reacted at the idea of dating someone who already had a kid.
Kristy then had started telling Lena about meeting Dominic, not realising until Lena responded that she had never said who it actually was. She felt like an idiot, looking down at the table shaking her head. “Sorry, I never did give his name did I?” She apologised, looking back up at Lena. “It was Dominic Salvatore, & he is engaged.” Kristy added the last bit to answer Lena’s question, although she was sure that Lena would now know who she had been talking about, & that it wouldn’t matter if he was single since he still wouldn’t be interested in her down the track.

"I agree. I think that she would just be miserable or something if she was taken now." Lena knew that it would be hard on Miracle, and also doubly as hard for Peter, and her included, if she was taken now. When Kristy extended on what she said about making things legal, Lena nodded, "Oh yeah, I can't agree more."
Lena felt a slightly blush come over her, when Kristy spoke more about the sex side of their relationship when it happened. She looked away, and then slowly looked back up at Kristy, feeling her eyes just bright with the thoughts she had right then. "I hope so. I guess I just don't want to rush, you know. Peter just has this way, and I guess when it does come time, I feel that he will be... um, wonderful." Lena could only let out a giggle then, feeling like a school girl right then. She couldn't wait for it to happen with Peter, but right now Miracle was the first priority these days, which she was fine with.
Lena gave Kristy a smile, nodding at what she said. She knew Kristy's situation, but knew that her daughter was her whole world as well. It was evident when she was visiting them. "Thanks. Glad that I made sense." She hated not making sense to others who never understood her. But she was happy that Kristy knew her well enough to understand her rambles and little quirks.
Lena giggled a little when Kristy commented more on the whole guys hearing the words mother or child. "Some guys just can't handle a woman who has a life already, and has a stable job. Maybe they find you a little off putting that you know what you want." Lena them moved a little, "Maybe you need to change perfumes or something?" She laughed a little, "Sorry, that was bad, sorry."
After Lena had commented on the guy that Kristy was talking about, she rolled her eyes. " I am such an idiot." She playfully smacked her forehead, looking back at Kristy, "Of cause he is, and he is engaged. Pity, if he was straight he would have been a good catch." Lena smiled at Kristy. "Well looks like you might be in a better position to get us tickets to his next concert then." She shook her head giggling a little, then dranked some more of her drink.
Lena saw that her drink was pretty much getting to the end, but she hadn't eaten all of her meal. Looking at her watch, she noticed that if she wanted to work on the things she said she would with the other images she took, she would have some time now before meeting up with Peter later. "Kristy, do you mind if I head off? Just want to fix up these images that I took so I can send them off to you. I just have to meet up with Peter later, and don't want to rush these things." She felt bad leadig Kristy, but Lena had to get things done as she was going to be busy the following week.
