Kristy giggled along with Lena when she said she felt that sex for the first time with Peter would be wonderful. “Well of course it will be wonderful. If he is wonderful, there is love, then the sex is most likely going to just be that.” Kristy tone was light & joking, although the subject was serious. When Lena said she was glad that she made sense Kristy rolled her eyes, smiling. “I think I have known you long enough for you to make sense most of the time, if not all the time.” She joked.
Talking about Kristy’s love life - or lack of one rather - had turned into a joke as well. Well really the idea of Kristy having one seemed like a joke at times, so it made sense for the discussion to go that way. But really Lena & Kristy’s friendship just did that, they had been friends long enough to make a serious subject sound like a joke, & it was good to have someone to help you laugh at the bad parts of your life & see them in a new light. “Yes that was bad.” Kristy agreed when Lena said her comment about her changing perfumes was bad. “But really, if guys don’t like the idea of a woman who already has a life then I’m not interested in them. I’m sure there is someone out there somewhere though. Not all guys are scared of the words mother & child.”
When Lena said she was an idiot Kristy shook her head. “No you’re not. I’m the one who forgot to tell you his name. So I’m the idiot.” She disagreed. “You are right, he would be a good catch. His fiancé is real lucky.” Kristy sighed. Maybe all good men were taken or gay she thought, but didn’t say out loud. When Lena mentioned about how she was in better position to get them tickets Kristy smiled. “You know what, you are right. I never thought of that. As long as he doesn’t think I’m using my friendship with him to score tickets, I may just do that. It would be good.” Kristy nodded, thinking about how it would be fun to go to one of Dominic’s concerts with Lena, & to see Dominic again.
Lena then looked at her watch, commenting about leaving. Looking at the time herself, Kristy shook her head. “No, of course not. I should probably be getting back to pick up Georgia soon anyway.” Kristy smiled. “You go do what you have to do. I will see you tomorrow then.” Kristy commented, referring to their earlier arrangements for the next day.
