Saturday, 26th June 2010 Jo held onto her arm that was bleeding furiously, and ran for her life. She had just managed to get away from the lunatic that had slashed at her arm. Her bag flew behind her, but that was the least of her worries. As she ran towards the house that her and Stefan shared as husband and wife, Jo removed her hand from her arm, and saw that the skin had since healed over, but just the blood remained from the injury that could have made her bleed to death slowly. Finally after running forever, Jo almost slipped when she came to a slight stop at the front door. She hadn't been crying that much, but now as she fumbled for her keys in her bag, the tears started to fall. Through the blur of them, Jo was able to find the key and jam it into the lock, turning the key. The key was quickly pulled out, and Jo flung the door open, and quickly shut it. As her heart raced a mile a minute in her chest, Jo rested on the door. The scariness of the situation was now catching up to her, and she slid down the door. Jo placed her head in her hands, and just hoped that she was okay now. But as soon as that thought came into her head, Jo felt that she wasn't alone still. Felt like the person or thing that had come and attacked her was still there. Maybe not in the house, but was still hanging around outside. Jo then yelled at the top of her voice, removing her face from her hands, "Just leave me alone!" She then went back to having her face in her hands, sobbing loudly. Jo had never been this scared in her life, and she had been through a lot.

Scott had been searching for his younger brother’s killer ever since it had happened three years ago. Lee was only sixteen when he was cruelly taken from the world by vampire Stefan Winchester. At least that is how Scott sees it. It’s no secret that vampires and werewolves don’t like each other and during one of the battles Lee got in the way of a silver bullet that was being aimed at a different wolf that was approaching the vampire in question. However the wolf had veered off in another direction the soon as the silver bullet had been fired and instead of it hitting the wolf that had been going to attack, it hit Lee instead killing him outright and Scott was naturally devastated. Neither Lee or Stefan, the vampire, were fighters, they were peacemakers for their kind and all they had been trying to do was stop the fighting.
Scott had eventually tracked Stefan down to Brooklyn in New York and had heard that he was married and supposedly living a happy life and he decided that he was going to take that happiness away from him and kill his wife. He had no idea what Stefan’s wife name was, but he didn’t care, he didn’t need a name. He just needed to know where Stefan stayed and he soon found out by wandering the streets of Brooklyn using his telepathy to eventually hear someone talk of Stefan Winchester and where he lived.
Scott had been watching the whole time and keeping an eye on the woman he now knew to be Stefan’s wife and the soon as she was alone he had gone in for what he had hoped was the kill. He had attacked her once and managed to slash at her arm while in human form using a knife that he had brought with him to cause what he had hoped was some torture before just turning into a wolf and ripping her apart. However she had managed to get away from him and she was running so fast. Scott shifted into his wolf form and ran after her but he still wasn’t fast enough to reach her before she had got inside and the door was closed on his face.
He could sense that she was still close, behind the door it would seem. He sniffed the air a few times knowing that she was indeed behind the door. He heard the voice yell to leave her alone, but Scott wasn’t going to have any of that. In fact all her yelling had done was fuel his anger. He circled around a few times and then decided to go crashing through the door of the house and that’s exactly what he did in his wolf form. Once he was indoors he turned and saw her through his wolf eyes with her hands in her head and his head cocked to the side as he saw that she no longer had the wound on her arm. He shifted back into his human form then and just glared at her, “What the hell are you? You shouldn’t have healed from that, unless you’re a vampire too of course.” Scott said and then gave out a sinister laugh.
He then tried to use his telepathy on her to see if he could find out anything about what she was but he couldn’t get anything from her and that was annoying him too. “Why can’t I get into your head?” He asked in an angry voice, it was really annoying him, he knew she wasn’t a vampire as he would smell it on her, and she was definitely not one of his kind as again he would smell it on her, to Scott she was just a human and yet she couldn’t be as she had healed from the wound he had given her. “And what makes you think I am going to leave you alone? You see I can’t do that, because your darling husband killed my brother. I bet he never told you that huh? And now this is payback, he took away my baby brother, he was only sixteen and now I’m going to take away someone precious to him.” Scott said and then shifted back into his wolf form and lunged at the woman sitting down by the door and flailed his front paw claws at her arms and legs and face hoping to do some serious damage to her.

Stefan didn’t work on a Saturday often as he liked to spend his weekends with Jo, but sometimes they were short staffed and they would ask if he could come in and cover for someone. He didn’t like to say no as the compassionate side of Stefan always made him want to do what he could to help others. Today was one such day when they had asked if he could cover for one of their paramedics as they had called in sick that day. Stefan had apologised to Jo but knew she would understand because she knew what he was like when it came to helping and caring for humans and of course what he was like when it came to his job.
By mid afternoon the hospital had managed to get another relief paramedic in and had dismissed Stefan thanking him for his help during the morning and early afternoon. Stefan bowed his head slightly at his boss, “That is not a problem and thank you for getting someone else in although I would have completed the shift.” Sonya nodded her head and gave Stefan a smile, “I know that, but that’s why I got you relief, as you are always so willing and I appreciate it.” Stefan gave her another smile, “It is never a problem and you know that I love to do what I can to help.” He had then left the hospital after clocking out and had made his way home.
As it was the middle of summer and the weather was pleasantly warm he decided to walk home instead of using his vampire speed. However he hadn’t got very far when he got a sense of danger washing over him and there was only three people in his life that gave him that sense of danger, Jo naturally, Damon and Katherine. He knew that it wasn’t Damon or Katherine as the sense wasn’t as strong as it was with his own kind. He began to walk faster until his enhanced hearing through being a vampire picked up Jo yelling for someone to leave her alone. Stefan then didn’t waste another moment as he used his vampire speed which was as good as flying to get to his house. The soon as he reached his house when he slowed down he felt sick in the pit of his stomach as he saw that his door had been crashed through.
Right away the smell of werewolf came into Stefan’s nostrils and his face began to transform as he let out a growl at the back of his throat. Stefan was never one for violence but when it came to Jo he always did what he could to protect her; however he could usually manage it without killing. This was different, this was a werewolf and despite the fact that Jo could heal, if the wolf ripped off Jo’s head she would dead. Stefan went flying through his door just in time to see the wolf trying to attack Jo once more and he soon grabbed at the wolf’s neck and threw him aside and immediately got down to Jo’s level not even bothering about the fact that his vampire face was still in place as he knew that Jo was used to it by now.
“Are you alright my love?” Stefan asked and after waiting on an answer he turned to make sure that the wolf wasn’t coming anywhere near them and then spoke up, “What do you hope to accomplish here? We have done you no harm; you have no right to do this. If you do not leave I will be forced to make sure you leave.” Stefan said his voice full of anger. He then turned back to Jo, “Did he hurt you Josephine my love?” Despite knowing that Jo could heal, it didn’t mean that Jo couldn’t get hurt by what the wolf could do.

As Jo sobbed into her hands, she felt herself starting to panic, and this made her feel even worse. She hadn't had a panic attack since Damon's little introduction into her life, and coming back into Stefan's. Jo tried to calm herself down with deep breaths but it wasn't working. She just wished that she could be just left alone, or just have Stefan there to help.
It was at that moment the door smashed over her head, which led to Jo screaming. She didn't dare look up, in fear that whoever had attacked her was going to be standing there, ready to pounce again. Once the screams left her, fresh tears fell, and Jo got the courage to look up at her attacker. "Leave me alone," Jo screamed at him, and began to cry in front of him. She tried to scramble to her feet, but her legs gave way, and Jo sat in fear of what might happen next. The man then questioned what she was, and she knew that he was soon questioning her about the wound that he had caused. All Jo could do was shake her head at him, no, in acknowledgement to his statement of her being a vampire.
Jo attempted to take some more deep breaths again, and as she did so, she frowned at what he was trying to do, or whatever it was he was trying to do. She felt a niggling feeling in her head, but nothing she felt she had to worry about. The man then questioned her about why he can't get into her head. This she had no answer for, and felt right now that she just couldn't explain it verbally to him, as her throat felt sore from the screaming and the crying.
Jo could hear that he was getting angry, and wondered what this might do to change the situation. This put her on edge again, and she moved her hand up to her chest, feeling like she was starting to panic once again. Jo closed her eyes, feeling her chest heaving, and her breath getting rather short. Her heart beated faster as she heard what he said next. I just want you to leave me alone, screamed Jo in her head. Then the man spoke of something, which made her eyes open slowly. Really, whatever happened in the past with Stefan, she knew that it wasn't going to be that bad, or if it was it was probably for the best at the time.
Hearing that he was going to make this payback, made Jo scared for her life, and all she wanted to do was just get away from this crazy person. Jo finally got the courage to open her mouth when the man changed into a wolf. She tried to scream, but nothing came out. As she saw the wold fly at her, all Jo could think of was that this was it, and saying a silent goodbye to Stefan in her head.
Jo put her head in her hands, ready to feel the attack one hundred times worse to how it felt before just on her arm. But all she felt was a feel of wind, and then a scuffle. Jo quickly looked up and saw Stefan throwing the wold aside. Her attention went to him, as he got down to her level, asking her if she was alright. Fresh tears fell, and Jo slowly shook her head. She looked sideways trying with everything she had to control her emotions, but right that minute it wasn't helping at all. There were a few explanations for her emotions at that moment, but right now it was all to do with the situation that had started, and was still going.
As Jo tried to compose herself, she listened to what Stefan was saying to the wolf. She wondered that if Stefan had done what the wolf has said, or that it might have been someone else by the same name. It would be shown on Stefan's face if it was someone he had dealt with a while ago, and Jo would be able to notice. After he spoke to the wolf, Stefan turned his attention back to Jo, asking if she had been hurt. Jo nodded, extending her arm, that felt okay now. She swallowed, and looked at Stefan, "He, uh, slashed me with something on my arm. It's, uh okay now, but before...." She wiped at her eyes, and let out a breath. "I am just glad that you are here." With that, Jo wrapped her arms around Stefan's neck, pulling him close.

When Scott had used his wolf form to crash through the door of the house he heard the girl scream and in his head even as a wolf he had to laugh at the pathetic sound that he could hear. The girl had then screamed for him to leave her alone again. He was getting a bit tired of that and didn’t even bother to answer her instead questioning her once he had turned back to his human form about how she had healed from the wound he had given her. He had then said unless she was a vampire but he knew that she wasn’t as he would have sensed it through the vampire scent that wolves can pick up on vampires and vice versa. The girl didn’t say anything though but just shook her head. He had obviously scared her and this was why she wasn’t talking. “I am terribly sorry that I have scared you, not.” He said and then gave a sinister laugh again.
He had then tried to use his telepathy to get into her head to read what she was thinking but it was like there was a barricade or block stopping him from getting in almost as if someone had cast a spell on her so that she would be unreadable to those who had mind control powers. He got no answer again but it didn’t really bother him as he knew that all he had to do was shift into wolf form again and just fly for her. She may have healed from the wound on her arm meaning she must have some sort of healing power as being a werewolf hybrid he knew of Evolved Humans with powers so it could be possible she had the power to heal, but he also knew that decapitation killed an Evolved Human with that power and all he had to do was snap his jaws around her neck and she’d be dead. This thought made him feel a little excited, he just wanted to kill the one person that was precious to Stefan Winchester, just like he took away his brother.
Scott had then turned into his wolf form once more getting ready to attack the girl with his paws flailing in front of her hoping to do enough damage to get to her neck when he felt a gust of wind at his side and he sniffed the air and sensed that it was a vampire and most likely it would be Stefan. He had obviously sensed that his woman was in danger and this was him coming to protect her from the big bad wolf. He had to chuckle in his head at that thought because he was the big bad wolf and he would make sure Stefan knew that for the rest of his immortal life. Just as he was getting ready to go in for the kill he felt himself being thrown aside and he banged off the wall of the far end of the corridor knocking him out briefly so of course he wasn't aware that Stefan had spoken to him asking him what he hoped to accomplish.
It didn’t take too long for Scott to come around and when he did because he had lost the shape of his wolf he was back in his human form. He stood up and not even bothering about the fact that Stefan was obviously trying to comfort his woman Scott rubbed at the side of his head where he had smacked it off the wall. “Well, well Stefan Winchester that hurt.” He then laughed a little hysterically as it hadn’t really hurt at all. “I let your little wife know that you killed my baby brother and that I was going to take away the most precious thing to you and that is of course your wife; there really is no other solution to this.” Scott said and gave Stefan a sinister smile as he began to make his way toward Stefan. Using his telekinesis he flicked Stefan aside and then again using his telekinesis he pinned him to the wall and then with the knife that he had used to attack the girl earlier he threw it so that it would hold Stefan in place at the shoulder, he had always known Stefan to be the weaker of the two brothers and knew that it would hold. Of course he had no idea that Stefan had been taking human blood from an Evolved Human who could produce blood and was as strong as his brother now.
Scott then used his telekinesis to draw out the nails from the floorboards in the hallway and then levitated them before sending them into the palms of both of Stefan's hands just for extra reinforcement of keeping him in place so that he could change back into his wolf form to kill the girl once and for all. He shifted again and then got himself in position as he stood with his back legs poised ready for the pounce and then let out a growl before jumping in the direction of where she was sitting and reached for her neck with his jaws opened ready to rip off her head.

Once Stefan had heard through his enhanced hearing Jo scream for someone to leave her alone he hadn’t wasted any time in getting to his house and going to her rescue. He had sensed the wolf right away but had no idea who the wolf was in his human form but he didn’t care, all he cared about right then was making sure Jo was fine. He soon asked if she was alright after tossing the wolf aside away from her and all she could do was to shake her head. Stefan had then turned around to ask the wolf what he had hoped to accomplish but he soon saw that there was no movement and so he must have knocked him out which was good enough for Stefan for now. He turned back to face Jo again. He had asked her if the wolf had hurt her and Jo extended her arm and tried to talk saying that the wolf had slashed at her arm with something but it was alright now but then she had gone to talk about before and Stefan soon felt her arms go around his neck saying she was glad that he was there.
Stefan put his arms around her in a protective way with one on the small of her back rubbing at it gently to try and calm her down and one on the back of her head soothing at her hair. “Hush Josephine, my love, I will never let anything happen to you, I have promised you that from the day I met you and I will always protect you.” Stefan said in a soft and calming voice as he continued to hold her close and soothe down her hair with his hand and rub at her back. However this embrace didn’t last for long when Stefan heard an all too familiar voice tell him that what he had done had hurt but he could hear the sarcasm in his voice. Stefan snapped his head round to face Scott Lambert, the brother of the wolf he had accidentally killed a few years ago before he had met Jo. “Well it stunned you at least, that was good enough for me, and I can make sure that I do that again.” Stefan said to him with anger in his voice.
Scott soon began to speak and what he heard him say made him sick in his stomach, so he had told Jo that he had killed his brother, but he wouldn’t have told her the exact story of how it happened that much he knew for sure. Stefan looked back at Jo and the expression on his face would let her know that what Scott had said was true but he turned back to Scott to explain himself for what would feel like the thousandth time. “Scott you know what happened, I explained it to you over and over. It was an accident. You know that your brother and I were peacemakers in the vampire and werewolf war. All we had been trying to do was stop the fight back then. I have explained this over and over but I will explain it again as I want my love to know the truth.” Stefan said and glanced back at Jo before continuing.
“I was being attacked by a large wolf who was heading toward my neck and I had heard that werewolf bites can be poisonous to vampires which after time can lead to death, I was not about to let that happen to myself and so I felt I had no alternative but to shoot the wolf coming for me with a silver bullet. The wolf in question veered off in another direction the second I fired the gun and the bullet landed in Lee and killed him. You know that I have suffered over this, you know that I live with the consequences of those actions every single day since it happened but it was an accident, it was just an accident.” Stefan said and could feel his emotions spilling out. He turned to Jo his face back to looking like a human as a few tears began to fall and then hardly being able to say the words at all this time he shook his head giving her an apologetic look, “It was just an accident.” The words were barely audible this time.
It would seem that his explanation once more had no effect on Scott whatsoever as he soon felt himself being flicked aside and he knew that Scott was using his telekinesis on him. He had forgotten that he had powers through being a hybrid of an Evolved Human. He made to get up quickly but soon felt himself being pinned to the wall and with that sort of power it was something he couldn’t break free from, not while the mind was still at work with it. Scott then threw a knife at him as if to keep him held in place and if it wasn’t for the fact that he didn’t want Scott to know that he was much stronger than he used to be, he would have laughed at his sorry attempt at trying to keep him pinned to the wall without the use of his telekinesis. The next thing there were nails being withdrawn from the floorboards and they were flying in his direction pinning his hands to the wall. Of course each nail that pierced his skin was agony but he also knew that it wasn’t enough to hold him in place and he just went with it for now and when Scott turned his back to him he would free himself and run Scott out of his home and hopefully out of his life for good despite not being a killer, if it came to Jo’s life or Scott’s then Scott would die every single time.
Stefan then watched still in agony with being pinned at the shoulder by the knife and the nails in his hands as Scott turned back into his wolf form and obviously too busy with getting ready to attack Jo. Stefan quickly yanked both his hands free from the nails and as much as it was agony done it without making a noise and then he pulled the knife out from his shoulder but not dropping it and in one swift movement before his feet even touched the ground to make the obvious dropping sound of Stefan falling from the hold he flew toward Scott and grabbed him and flew with him out of the door and into the garden of his home and began to flail around with the wolf. He knew that it was dangerous but the only thing he could focus on right now was keeping Jo safe.

Jo had slowly shaken her head, in acknowledgement to his question about her being a vampire. Her heart was just thumping in her chest, and then she heard the man say he was sorry for scaring her, then the word 'not' was said after. The laugh he gave just sent chills down her spine, and she didn't like it one little bit. She just wanted him to leave her alone, so that she could try and calm down from this ordeal, but for some reason, Jo knew that it wasn't going to happen anytime soon.
After the initial contact with Stefan and the wolf, he had gotten down to her level, asking if she was okay, then turned his attention back to the wolf he had knocked back. Though the wolf never moved, so Jo was glad for that. She hoped that once it woke up that it would just run out and leave them alone. Stefan had then asked if she had been hurt, and she soon sort of told him that she had, but it was alright now. Though for her right now, it was just good to have Stefan there for her, and Jo wrapped her arms around his neck, saying that she was glad that he was there.
Here what Stefan was saying was making her anxiety go away. The words he shared with her she knew, and everytime he said them, if she was ever in trouble, it made her feel that she was safe with him, and only him. As Jo closed her eyes as they kept the embrace between them, the voice of the man who had hurt and chased her rang in her ears, and the sick feeling just washed over her again. Regardless of Stefan being there or not, right now she felt unsafe until the man was gone altogether.
Jo slowly slipped out of the embrace, and let Stefan handle the situation with the man. Hearing him say Stefan's name, it made Jo look at him, and then at Stefan, having another sick feeling that the man had definitely meant Stefan, when he spoke of his brother being killed. Jo swallowed, and looked at Stefan more. Stefan replied to the man, saying that what he had done to him stunned him at least, saying that he would make sure that he did that again to him. Jo then looked at the man, who then had a comeback, speaking of how he had told Jo about what Stefan had done to his brother, and what he thought was basically only fair for Stefan killing his brother.
Jo wondered what might be said or done now when the topic came up, and when Stefan looked at her, she could tell straight away that what the man had said was the truth. A single tear fell down Jo's cheek, wishing that it wasn't true. No words were said to her, and she watched as Stefan spoke in defence of what happened that day. Hearing it was an accident, Jo knew that was the truth. Stefan, she knew, would never hurt anyone, only if necessary, and she moved a little where she was sitting hearing what Stefan had to say about that day.
After Stefan explained what had happened, Jo was a little chooked up, and could see, as Stefan turned to look at her, and the tears that fell made Jo want to go and wipe them away. She wanted to go to him, wrap him in her arms, and tell him that she believed him. But right now, the man had to believe Stefan, though would that be the case? For some reason, Jo knew that that wouldn't be the case. Stefan then said something that she couldn't quite here, but she knew that what he said was the truth. Jo looked at the man, pleading with her head that he would believe what was said.
Jo was feeling really scared, as the man headed towards Stefan more, and that just swelled, as she watched Stefan being moved towards the wall, where he stayed. She let out a mix of a scream and a gasp, bringing her hands up to her mouth, eyes wide at what the man did to Stefan. Again another scream left her mouth, as she watched a knife fly towards Stefan, where it was now pinned in his shoulder. Jo started to sob, and then tears fell as she she softly squealed as nails were soon thrown, which she soon realised was used by the man's mind, towards Stefan, penetrating his hands, pinning them now fully to the wall.
Jo could just tell that Stefan was in pain, despite who he was. She knew that if the nails were wooden bullets or something, it would be so much more painful. Her eyes slowly looked at now the wolf, not the man who had done what he had done to Stefan. Her eyes grew wider, and she shuffled back, but really she couldn't go any further back, as her back was on the door, well part of the door that wasn't broken. With her hands on the floor, Jo felt like this was the end now. Stefan wasn't in a position to help her now, and really she had no physical ability to help herself, so this was the end of her life right now.
Jo never noticed that Stefan had gotten out of the hold from the nails and the knife. So all she saw was the wolf once again coming at her, and she squeezed her eyes shut, waiting for the physical attack to do away with her. When other noises were heard, and no feel of teeth or heaving breath was felt on her neck, Jo slowly opened her eyes, and soon enough she saw that she was alone in the house. Her heart began to beat, and she felt sick with worry about what happened, as she had her eyes shut. Hearing noises outside, Jo slowly stood up, and quickly peered over the broken door, holding onto it, feeling a little light headed over the drama that unfolded.
Jo watched as Stefan and the wolf went at it in the garden. She had no idea what to do, or say, to help Stefan. Though she hoped that Stefan would win, as she knew that a wolf bite was rather deadly to vampires, and even one bite would slowly kill him.

Damon was relaxing on the lounge in the extravagent house that he and Katherine shared in New York. He never paid money for it, just made this sweet couple leave it to them, and told them to leave and find another house. Thinking of that day made Damon grin to himself, as he flipped through one of many first edition books that were in the house. His fingers flipped each page carefully as he sped read the words in the book, recalling each word and syllable, just like he had read it only yesterday.
He had chosen this house, because it was close to his brother, Stefan, and his current wife, Jo, where they lived together. In a way, Damon didn't need to be so close, though he still liked to have fun, but hadn't had any for some time, and that kind of got him down. He shut the book loudly, gently letting it land on the lounge, and as he got up, he felt something. The feeling he was now feeling was not a good one, and only one person would give him this sudden feel of uneasiness and feel of pain. His forehead went into a frown, and the feel of pain slowly left him, but then anger rose. "Stefan," Damon soon headed out the door, practically flying to where their house was.
Since his house was pretty much facing, in the distance, towards their back door, he landed outside the back door, then shoved it in, watching wood splinter all around. Damon saw that the house was in darkness, and wondered if they were even home. But the feeling he had was definitely growing, and he wasted no time in moving quickly to the front of the house inside. Damon was soon met with a figure standing, looking out of the broken front door. "What the hell happened?" Damon could then sense that a wolf was here, and was also still close.
He moved quickly to Jo's side, and without thinking, wrapped an arm around her waist. With that move, Damon looked at her, and saw the look, and the tear stained face. Again without thinking, he quickly scooped her up in his arms, and looked outside in the garden. In horror, he watched his younger brother in a scuffle with a wolf. Within seconds, Damon flew back to his house with Jo in his arms, and sat her down on the lounge. "Just wait here till I go and solve this little problem." Without waiting for an answer, Damon left Jo, and flew back to the scene that was unfolding in front of him.
Damon quickly intervened, grabbing the wolf by the back of it's neck, and threw it as far as he could across the gardened area. He then turned to his brother, "Well it looks like I might be here just in time to kill us a werewolf." A smirk crept along his lips, and then it was gone, as Damon eyed off the wolf to watch what his next move was going to be.
