Saturday 5th June, 2010 It was a Saturday afternoon and Kyle usually tried not to work at the weekends so that he could spend time with his six year old daughter Dannii but by mid afternoon his pager went off asking him if he could possibly come into the office because they had a case that they felt they needed him to deal with. His mom told him that he could go on in as she would look after Dannii for him. So he kissed his daughter goodbye and made his way into the office. The soon as he arrived he was soon briefed on the case and it transpired that a young child who had just turned three had been reported as missing. So this was the reason why they had called him in, as they knew that Kyle had a love for children and he had found many missing children in the past.
“Is the mother here just now?” Kyle asked his partner Davie and he nodded his head, “She’s out in the foyer just now, we have only just found out about it and the boss said to page you as you’re usually the best when it comes to missing children.” Kyle nodded his head and gave him a weak smile. “Thanks Davie.” He replied and made his way out to the foyer so that he could speak with the woman. He figured the reason why he was so good with missing children cases was due to the fact that he had a child himself, so naturally cases like that meant a lot to him as he knew how he would feel if Dannii ever went missing.
He soon reached the foyer and made his way to the reception desk as there were a couple of civilians there and wanted to make sure he would approach the right woman. “I’m looking for the mother of the missing child Steph.” He said and she nodded her head and pointed in the direction of where the lady was sitting. “Thanks, do you have any details on her yet, like her name or anything?” He asked and Steph shook her head and replied, “Sorry, not yet.” Kyle nodded his head and approached the woman and placed a hand on her arm gently and with his other hand produced his badge for identity.
“Hello, I’m Agent Kyle McPhee, I am terribly sorry to hear about your missing child and the office have contacted me to help on the case as I’ve been known to find missing children rather quickly in the past. Could you possibly give me more details, as I’ve only just come in and although I was briefed about the case, all I know is that the child is a girl and that she has recently turned three. Any more information you can give me would be wonderful. Do you have a photograph at all?” Kyle said as he put his badge away and sat down in the chair next to her and waited for her to respond to him. He couldn’t help but notice how stunning she looked but knew that he had to put that to the back of his mind as there were far more important issues at hand just now.

Kristy had been told that once you have a child your world revolves around them, & not you. Through them you get to experience the world all over again. She was also told that there would be times she would cry as well as times that she would laugh, not to mention hurting when they hurt. What she never imagined & was never warned about was how she would feel the moment she lost that one thing which was the most important thing in her life. Ever since Georgia had been born Kristy had been doing anything & everything she could for her. She really was Kristy’s whole world, & she found all the things people had said to her to be true. She just wished they had warned her about this.
What happened when you lost your child? All hell breaks loose. Kristy’s emotions ranged from fear to anger. She feared for her daughter’s safety, about what happened to her. But she also was angry at herself for letting it happened. She had just left her daughter for what had to have been less than a minute, & when she returned she was gone. In her panic she had rang her aunt & uncle, who rushed over to comfort her. Once she was calm, she then called police, where she was just told to come in & wait until they had someone who could talk to her. She had no idea if there was some specialist who they had to call in for this, but she just wished that whoever was going to come talk to her would arrive already. It felt like it was taking forever, when it really had only been a few minutes.
Eventually a man approached her, showing his badge for identification. Letting out a breath of relief, she sat up straighter waiting to hear what the man would have to say, just wanting her daughter back. It was a relief when he said he was known to find the missing children rather quickly, although she also had a small thought in the back of her mind that maybe, just maybe, he was only saying it to comfort her. The conflicting emotions racing through her were too confusing to keep up with. “She’s two.” Kristy mumbled at first, correcting the agent’s mistake. “Umm, Georgia her name is. She turned two in February.” Looking up at Kyle, who was now sitting next to her, she bit her lip preparing to confess how bad a mother she had been, leaving her child unattended.
“I only left her for a few seconds; it couldn’t have been more than a minute. That doesn’t excuse what happened though. I just had to answer my phone, it was my work, & I wasn’t paying attention. I left her sitting on a bench, moving to where I could hear better. Then when I turned back around she was gone.” Taking a breath, she wiped away the fresh lot of tears which were beginning to form. “She knows better than to run off, & we looked for her, she was just gone.”
Then remembering that he had questioned if she had a photo, she picked up her bag which was on her other side. “Yes I have a photo, somewhere.” She looked through her bag for her wallet where she kept the photo, mumbling “photo” to herself about three times before she could retrieve it for the agent. “Here.” She passed it to him. “It’s from May last year though. It’s the only one I have on me though.” Kristy then waited to see what would happen next.
OOC: Mel & I found that picture back when I first made Kristy. I just got it out of the thread I had with her Jackson

{ooc - it's a cute picture and I think I remember seeing it in that thread you had with Mel's Jackson that time.} Kyle had approached the woman and showing his badge for identification he soon spoke to her hoping to put her at ease. He had told her that he had been briefed on the case but only had vague information. Of course he had to have been told the wrong information as the woman soon corrected him on her daughter’s age. The woman then said that her daughter’s name was Georgia and again confirmed that she was two telling him when she had turned that age. “I’m terribly sorry for the mistake; I was given the wrong information about your daughter’s age.” He then scored out the age three and wrote down two next to it and the daughter’s name.
The woman then looked at him and began to talk and from what he could tell she was blaming herself for her daughter going missing and of course her words sounded like they were coming out in a bit of a panicked ramble which was only to be expected. Kyle placed his hand on the woman’s arm gently and gave it a bit of a squeeze. “I have a six year old daughter madam, I know how they can be, and with being a single father I know what it’s like not to be able to keep your eye on them twenty four seven. Don’t blame yourself, we’ll find her.” He said giving her some reassurance and hoping to god that he would indeed find her. He hadn’t let a parent down yet when it came to missing children but there was a first time for everything and he just hoped that it wouldn’t be this time.
The woman then said she had a photo somewhere and he watched as she rumbled around in her bag. Noticing the tears in her eyes, Kyle reached over to the table and picked up the box of paper tissues and placed them in front of her should she wish to use one or two. He noticed she kept mumbling the word photo to herself and he knew that she would be beside herself with worry so he knew that there would be no point in telling her not to worry as he knew that he would be just as worried if Dannii went missing. All he could think to do was to gently squeeze her arm again for some reassurance.
The woman soon handed him over the photo and he couldn’t help but look at it with a sad smile she was such a gorgeous and happy little girl, it reminded him a lot of how Dannii used to be at that age. “That should be fine madam I don’t imagine that she has changed that much since that photo was taken at all.” He took a paperclip and clipped it to the notes that he had on the case already and then put all of it into his zipped folder and closed it over for now. Then with his notepad and pen in his hand he knew that he had to get a little more information. “You said that you were sitting on a bench as you took the phone call, was that in a park at all? If not can you tell me where you were, it will hopefully help me to pinpoint some areas to look as hopefully she will not have gone too far.” He just hoped that nobody had taken her; he knew that young children could often be abducted if not for ransom money usually by some desperate woman who had either lost their child or couldn’t have any.
Once he was given the information he didn’t want to waste another moment. He stood up and made his way to the reception desk and picked up the telephone. “I want a team of ten agents following me and the child’s mother, the more agents I have the more area we can cover.” He said to the receptionist of his department and then he turned back to the woman. “Madam, would you like to accompany me and you can put me in the right direction of exactly where the both of you were last, it should hopefully help and I have a team of agents who are going to follow me, the more manpower I have on the case, the better it will be. Also if it is not too forward of me, may I ask your name please?” He wanted it for information for the case but he also would like to be able to refer to the woman by her name.

After Kristy corrected the Agent who had come help her find her daughter, she smiled weakly at his mistake, watching him fix it up in his notes. “It’s ok; it’s easy to mix up information. I hope there isn’t another child missing that it could have been mixed up with.” Kristy rambled slightly, her worry for Georgia’s safety taking over the ability to really think about or completely know what she was saying. Although listen to her words, she did hope there wasn’t another mother, or parent, feeling like she did right now.
Kristy rambled slightly, blaming herself more, as she explained what had happened. She explained how she had been with her daughter on the bench one minute, but when Kristy had taken a few steps away, Georgia had disappeared. Kristy knew that she should have been watching Georgia more carefully; she didn’t usually take her eyes off her daughter. She just had been distracted by the call from work. But really that was no excuse for her behaviour. Kristy felt the agent try to comfort her, placing his hand on her arm, then listened as he mentioned his own daughter. She hadn’t missed the fact that he had said single, & was curious as to why he was a single parent like she was. Not that she had mentioned that she was one, & it most likely wasn’t in the information either. Although there was the fact that she wore no ring, which would be a sign that she wasn’t married. “I know you can’t watch them twenty-four seven, but I still feel terrible for turning my back, even if it was just for a second.” Kristy sighed before continuing, with an obvious lie. “I’m not blaming myself.”
Looking through her bag, tears formed in her eyes. It wasn’t completely that she was upset; it was more just from the fear & worry for her daughter’s safety, along with just the experience in general. When she finally found the photo, she noticed that Kyle had moved some tissues closer to her, so she reached for one. Drying her tears, she smiled weakly again at him nodding at what he said. “No, she hasn’t changed that much.” Kristy watched as he organised his file, closing it up when he was done. Every now & again she brushed her eyes over with the tissue to stop the tears that were trying to form from falling.
When he asked for more information, Kristy nodded at his comment about a park. “Yes, we had just done some shopping & since she had been well behaved I walked her to the park nearby. She was tired of playing, so had come back over to where I was waiting for her. We were going to leave when my phone rang.” Kristy recalled more details about what had happened for Kyle, hoping that what she said would be enough to help him find her daughter.
Kristy watched as Agent Kyle walked over to the desk, wondering what she was meant to do now. She was soon informed when Kyle asked her to accompany him. What he said made sense, so she stood up, answering as she stood. “Of course I will; anything to help you find her.” Despite everything that was going on, she giggled slightly when he questioned about her name. She had been so worried about Georgia that she had forgotten all about her own details. “My name is Kristy. Kristy Lee. That’s also Georgia’s last name, if that is relevant.” Kristy didn’t mention that her first name was actually Kristy Rose, since she usually wasn’t known as that. OOC: Sorry for the delay, blame the way my body has been torturing me lately.
