It was a wet day. Rain had just finished falling on NYC and overall, it was not a nice pretty day.Even though it was nice, he just wanted to go back to sleep and rest. He didn't want to participate in the local blood drive today. He had already given blood and had just finished a soda, but was helping other people to get their blood given and to instruct some people about giving blood. He had recruited a few people so far, so today was a good day, a very good day.
Seth sighed as he pushed blonde hair from his eyes as one of his friends spotted a cue guy; a very cute guy. Of course, this wasn't what usually attracted Seth, but with this amazingly dark haired male, he really didn't have a choice, did he? Mainly when Amanda kept pestering him. The teenager sighed as he walked up to the other who looked roughly his age and gave a warm smile.
"Excuse me sir, would you like to give blood?" He asked kindly.

Having his hands deep into his pockets, Dimitri walked with his head bowed along the streets of New York, he liked the place... as cities goes. Really, he hadn't known of any other place to live other than the streets. Even though it had been raining, the streets didn't look like it had been splattered with rain. However Dimitri did observe that the other people in the city were just as frantic as ants running from place to place before the big storm was going to pass through the city. It was funny, observing that similar behavour in the human race.
Ironic really, even with his bowed he smiled ever so slightly before lifting his head and rolling his eyes impatiently. A block in the road, or more so the sidewalk. He hated the hardsell, save a child for only $1 bullshit. It annoyed him to no end. Trying to push his way though the crowd to continue on his journey, a bright and lively looking lad - around the same age as himself stopped dead in front of him.
His face beaming with painful delightly. Dimitri sighed, and slid his hands out of his pockets before bringing it up and folding his arms, his look of annoyance planted on his face. "Only if it's someone else's," he replied indifferently, his voice low almost a grumble. Even the curled lip on his face was obvious to people that he wasn't in the mood to be badgered by 'sales' people on the street.
"Why don't you bother someone else," Dimitri added, rolling his eyes and slamming his body into the blonde man, trying to continue walking through the crowd. Funny, he would have added a few colourful words in the mean time, but he just didn't have the energy to say what he really meant.

The attitude was fierce, almost like a poison fang stabbing into his neck, stunning him. He blinked quickly, looking at the other as he frowned a bit, feeling their bodies brush. Anger boiled slightly in his body as he watched the goo looking man walk away. OK, so he had a attitude, more than an attitude, he had a major attitude, one that sucked worse than anything else...but he, strangely, most likely had good blood.
He shook his head quickly as he walked behind the man and quickly stepped in front of him, his smile not so bright as he looked at the person, keeping himself close, enough so that the other couldn't move. "Come on sir, I'm sure you can't be as anal as you seem." He added. "It just doesn't fit you..."

Just when he thought that he wasn't going to be annoyed any further, he sat the blonde haired man sneak his way back to him and blocked his path. Taking a deep breathe, he raised his eyebrows and stared at the man. "What would you know?" he retorted, blinking slowly before side stepping him and walking down the side walk.
The annoying persistance of the other man was, frankly, getting on his nerves. Like everything else in his life, he doesn't like getting annoyed. There had been another side walk block, one which Dimitri didn't have time for. Clentching his teeth, he began to part the crowd with this power, one by one - person by person stepped aside and let him pass.

Seth was about to say something else before he noticed....a change of mood. Seth blinked slowly as he ran his tongue over his lips. He felt sick, strangely, fear-stricken like he should have run the other way. He didn't though, strangely...he didn't run...he didn't WANT to run...ugh, he was completely confused.
"I know a lot...more than you think." He muttered as he was about to say something again to the other but frowned. People...they were moving. One by one, like...dolls. The look on their face was evident, by some, that they didn't know what they were doing. That could only mean one thing. This man was a hero.
"Wait!" He said quickly as he extended his hand and wrapped it around the other's wrist, quickly reducing his power to one tenth of what it was. He couldn't let this go on.

With another step, he felt a hand wrap around his wrist, dragging him back. But as his power lessened, Dimitri's eyes widened as the people on the street - baffled as they were - continued on talking on their phone, walking down the street. What was it that the boy did to him, did he take away his power?
There could only be one thing that could do that, the blonde haired man had powers as well.
He shot himself around and glared at the other man, "Let me fuckin' go!" he growled behind clentched teeth, raising his other hand and punching the blonde haired man in the face. He might have taken his power away but he didn't take away the force behind Dimitri's hand. "You have no right to even fuckin' touch me!" Dimitri yanked his hand out of the grip, and stood face to face of the other man. Breathing heavily, he wanted to punch, kick and maime the blonde for even bothering to stop him in the street to donate blood.
The hatrid inside Dimitri didn't scare him, it was an emotion and with his already tough life, he justified his distaste in the world. He could do what he wanted, he had boss to report to. He was free and the blonde who insisted that he new best for Dimitri didn't swallow well.

It was evident, it was ok. He could still use his powers, he was still strong enough to do something...the happiness in his body stopped almost instantly before he gasped, looking at the anger in the others eyes as he felt, strangely, cold. It hurt ever so slightly...hurt to have to have that type of icy cold look glaring at him.
Instantly, a harsh force collided with his face, causing the teenager to yelp. He quickly stumbled backwards, his nose broken as blood started to gush from it, attracting attention of a few people. Almost instantly, a mixture of emotions swelled in his body. This guy was right....he didn't know anything of this guy, but he still...ugh, he was in a fucking pain right now.
"You had NO right to punch me!" He snarled, slightly hurt emotionally. He shook his head quickly, brushing blood from his face as he sighed shakily. Anger was not good rig now. He didn't know what could happen...he wasn't sure the extent of his powers....
"Can you just freaking listen to me?!" He asked, almost pleaded.

What was it about this annoying young man who wanted to stop Dimitri, he couldn't figure it out exactly. The look of slight worry or horror planted on his face was something Dimitri was used to, but from this stranger - it felt different. Perhaps it was because of the power he possessed, or was it beacuse he was afraid that Dimitri would do something to hurt everyone? He might have been a nasty person, but he doesn't kill for the sake of killing.
At least, he hasn't had to ... yet.
There was a slightly satisfaction circuling inside Dimitri's head, he caused the blonde pain and it made him happy. Smirking slightly, he tilted his head to the side, folded his arms and watched and the blood seaped out of the broken nose. "I have every right to defend myself," he retorted when the blonde declaired about his rights.
So, he wanted Dimitri to listen to him, "Why, what for?" he asked, narrowing his eyes as he stood adjacent from him.

He felt dizzy but he wasn't going to let it control him. He took in a shaky breath, iron and rust filling his senses as he looked at the blood on his hand. He wanted to throw up, but pushed the feeling down as he glared slightly at the other. This guy was crazy, most certainly...then why did he want to help? Want to do something? He was still confused and he blamed it on the loss of blood.
"I know you have the right to fight back." He shot back quickly, his voice a bit more whiny as he pinched his nose, trying to calm himself as he ran a bloody hand through his hair, contracting his blonde with red. He let out an annoyed groan as he would take a note to wash his hair.
Seth paused, not sure how to take this now. He could...do a lot of things with this situation now. "I didn't mean to start any trouble." He admitted. "But I still know what its lie, to ...have a power, to be something amazing, and have everything pulled out of your life, everything good pulled away. Even if it wasn't because of your power...I'm sure I'm not the only person who can tell your...hurting..." He kept his voice calm, trying not to annoy the other. He wasn't even sure why hew as trying.
"Look, nevermind...just forget it." He said quickly, pivoting on his feet to leave.

Dimitri ran his tongue over the front of his teeth as he watched the blonde, his eyes narrowed and a frown across his face. Trouble, didn't mean to start any trouble? That was a lie, there was nothing more obvious to Dimitri that this boy standing in front of him, his hands covered with blood, a growing bruise over his nose, and blood in his hair, was trying to convince him that he didn't start any trouble.
Dimitri scoffed slightly, shifting his weight to the other side. "Then why did you run after me?" he asked with a seeded growl. He was about to say something else, along the lines of 'shut the hell up', but he hesitated and instead, listened. So, the boy knew what it was like to have a power, that was painfully obvious considering he took Dimitri's power away - or so he thought he did. Momentarily, Dimitri was distracted with a trickling line of blood sliding down the blonde's lip and instinctively, he raised his own hand and made the boy wipe it away.
So he didn't take his powers away after all?
"Hurting? Don't flatter yourself..." Dimitri laughed, the first time almost opening up with that obsurd comment. He wasn't hurting, he was just fine, he had always been like this ever since he could remember, but it was amusing to hear how wrong the boy was. "What's your name, kid?" Dimitri asked, even though technically it was wrong to call the blonde a kid when Dimitri was appeared to be around the same age.

Seth was going to just leave. He really wanted to leave. He just wanted to go ahead and forget about all of this. He groaned slightly as he looked at the other, eyes glaring. He wanted to scream, to simply forget about everything that was going. Stupid blood drive! He should have just stayed in bed today.
He was lost in his own thoughts as he felt his body move. He could resist it, but it seemed...maybe, he didn't want to. The control was lose, not that strong, as he thought it would be-- as it should be. He felt his own hand move to brush away the blood. " I can weaken powers, or increase them...not take them away..." He muttered as he glared slightly at the male.
For some reason, the other comment struck hard. He groaned, pushing the feeling down inside of his belly as he rolled his shoulder. "You just don't seem like a person who...needs, deserves to be so angry...and my name is Seth." He said slowly.
"And yours?" He asked with a nervous smile.

So, he explained why he ran after him, was it just because he had a genuine desire to help, or was it more because he wanted to find a sense of belonging with another person with an ability. Either way, Dimitri shrugged that 'lost puppy' feeling off his chest and relaxed a little. His power was gone, and so said by the boy he can't take powers away. That was a relief.
For a moment, he did have a brief urge to shake his hand as he introduced himself a Seth, even went as far as looking at the blood stained hand - but thought better of it. "I'm Dimitri," he added shoving his hands back into his pocket, his voice speaking normally. Almost no feeling of insecurity when he was standing beside the blonde. Sure, he wasn't really one to start conversations, but the way they both met, didn't originate from normal circumstances.
Glancing his eyes back at the Blood Drive station, he nodded and inclined his head to where they first ran into each other. "Why are you working there?" he asked, interested to know why a person with powers would bother doing that remedial task.

So far things had been going well...this guy wasn't attacking him yet and everything was...swell? Yeah, swell...he shook his head a bit as he also mimicked the action, just not on purpose. He looked at Dimitri as he grinned a bit more, nodding back to him. "Nice to meet you then." He said kindly as he looked over his shoulder at the place where the other was looking.
"Well..." He paused. "I like it." He confessed. "I did it before...I was powered..." He informed with a shrug. "And I dunno, people like you and me, might need blood one day..." He said with another shrug and a cute smile. "Which is why you should give blood!"

Dimitri raised an eyebrow, she boy actually liked working there? Odd... "I wouldn't have figured anyone liked doing that shit work." He huffed with a slightly arrogant smile, kicking his feet against the pavement. "As for blood, if we give it... it's going to bite us in the ass, other than 'saving our lives." Dimitri scoffed.
He shook his head as he turned half way back to the crowd, this informal meeting was feeling a little awkward, not to mention they weren't going to see eye to eye on anything they were going to ultimately talk about. Not that Dimitri was a talker at the best of times, instead, he just stood there with his head lowered and his hands playing with the lint in his trouser pockets.
