29th October 2008
Daphne had went into Usutu's room to sit and watch him as she had been instructed to do by Arthur. She had thought he had been sleeping when she sat on the chair in the small room, but she noticed he'd smiled at her as she walked in. She didn't say anything to him however, because with his earphone on he was obviously relaxing listening to music. Daphne was just there to make sure he didn't need any more supplies.
So she leaned her head back against the wall, getting ready to relax and close her eyes herself for a while, when she saw Usutu suddenly get up from the bed and walk over to get a canvas. His eyes were cloudy, so she knew that only meant one thing, he was about to paint another futuristic painting.
She didn't want to interrupt him though, so she just sat forward, now alert and waited to see what he was going to paint, and if he should call on her to get more supplies, or for her to see what ever it was he painted.

Usutu continued to paint as he was now unaware of his surroundings. It was only him and the canvas. Stroking the red paint across the canvas, he soon changed to another color. After a while, it seemed to be explain what he was painting. It was Daphne. As soon as he had finished her, his eyes returned to normal. He stared into his picture. "Hmmm..." he said with a confused look upon his face. He never painted a part of a painting. So this surprized him. He wanted to see what would happen in this painting. He feared it. Taking out his headphones he returned to his cot. He stared at the unfinisihed painting and Daphne.

Daphne still continued to sit quietly watching over Usutu had he went to work with what ever he was painting this time. She waited until she was certain he was finished before she even thought about speaking to him.
When she saw his eyes return to normal and put his headphones down, she knew it was safe to talk to him. She didn't get up from where she was sitting. Instead she just spoke to him, after all it was small room, she didn't need to be beside him for him to hear her.
"So what mysterious future have you worked up this time Usutu?" she asked with a smile, but watching how he was staring at the painting one second and then looking at her the next. It was a little weird.

Usutu had realized that Daphne hasn't looked at the painting. He smiled and pointed at it, trying to get her to realize that it was her that he had painted. "Daphne. Its you!" he said calmly. He didn't know what else to say. But he had to tell her the painting wasn't finished he knew. "But it isn't finished yet." Then attempting to change the subject, he spoke again.
"So? Why do you question Arthur. I mean I understand, why. But why? He is a very powerful man, and could possibly kill you." he informed.

When Usutu pointed at the painting, and said that it was her, Daphne was immediately shocked, because she wanted to know what was going to happen to her. Not all of these futuristic paintings were good she knew that.
She jumped up and made her way over closer and stood with her head tilted to the side as she looked at the unfinished painting, and sure enough it was her. "But, I don't understand, why would I be in one of your paintings?" she asked, as if Usutu would know the answer.
She returned to the seat and shook her head, "What ever it is my guess it isn't good, hardly any of those paintings have ever been good" she mumbled slightly. It worried her now, she found herself chewing on her lip slightly, as he asked her about Arthur.
He was right, Arthur was very dangerous and few questioned him, but Daphne somehow found she wasn't afraid of him. he shrugged before replying.
"I don't know, I just don't like him I guess" she said and shrugged again, "Besides, he'd have to catch me first" she said and grinned, referring to her power. But she wasn't silly, she knew one touch from Arthur could wipe her clean of her speed power. She just hoped the painting which was unfinished wasn't anything to do with her and Arthur. She needed to get away from this place and work somewhere else.

Half way through Daphne's exlanation, his eyes turned foggy white. He was about to continue the painting. He stood up as he grabbed the paint brush once more. He dipped it in the water bucket and then dipped it in a puddle of black paint. Stepping up to the half finished canvas, stroking it with a the black paint filled brush. What he began to paint, formulated what seemed to be Arthur. After twenty minutes he dipped the brush in the water bucket once more, but his eyes stayed white.
He starred at it for a short while then he dipped it in a very light blue and continued. He painted a force of some kind. This force had what looked like a resemblence of Daphne's face in fear. The painting was finished, or so it seemed. He threw his paint brush into the water bucket as his eyes returned to normal.

Usutu didn't speak to Daphne after she told him why she argued with Arthur, instead she watched as his eyes grew foggy white and once again returned to the painting. This time however, instead of staying out of it, Daphne watched from the side with interest.
As the painting evolved in front of her eyes, she got more and more worried as the painting came to show Arthur standing over her. So her darkest thoughts had come to pass with the painting, Daphne suddered slightly. It didn't look good, and it was worrying Daphne a lot. She definitely had to get away from this place, and get away from Arthur Petrelli.
She looked at Usutu, biting down on bottom lip slightly, eyes open wide, head tilted to the side. "Looks like Arthur gets a little angry with me?" she asked Usutu, "Time for me to leave Pinehearst I think" she added, as she sighed and thought more about what the painting could mean.

Usutu began to feel guilty for painting such a thing. He glanced over at Daphne a saw that she was looking over at the painting. He could see the fear flood her face. His mind began pace as he thought of his outcome in which he tried to help Daphne or didn't. During his decision, she began to talk. He couldn't help my laugh. Laughing slightly as he continued to listen to Daphne. He knew she was right, he had come to a decision. "I will help you. Ready?" he asked her. He also hated Arthur and from the looks of it Daphne didn't either.

The more Daphne looked at the painting, the more she knew it spelled disaster. She knew Arthur would get her one of these days. She really ought to be more careful about the company she keeps and who she works for.
As Usutu began to laugh, Daphne felt annoyed at first, but then she realised he was laughing because of what she was saying about Arthur getting a little angry with her and then saying about leaving Pinehearst.
She would only be able to leave Pinehearst at this moment if Arthur allowed it of course, she could be making her way out of there and bump into him and then all hell would be let loose, and Usutu's painting would come to pass.
"You will help me? Help me do what Usutu?" she asked as she tried not to laugh, "I have super speed, remember? I could leave here in seconds and he wouldn't even know I was gone" and then she laughed a little, and realised she wasn't being very nice.
"How would you help me, seriously?" she asked him, tilting her head toward him again.

Usutu, truthfully, didn't know how he would help her. She was right she could easily run out of this building, but then a question developed in his mind. The fact she was still here after seeing the painting confused him. "Well then. Why are you still here?" he asked. As he stood up. Grabbing the brush again and painting over the painting with white. He was erasing the painting. If Arthur had seen it he knew would know what was going on.

Daphne wasn't sure why she was still there. Then again, she didn't know why Usutu was still there either. Why were either of them still working for such a jack ass she began to wonder. Chewing on her lip slightly, she began to think about this.
"You know" she began, looking at him sternly, looking up to his great height, "You're right, you're totally right, I don't know why I'm still here" she said, and then watched as he painted over the painting with white, so nobody else could see it.
She was getting ready to speed off when she stopped, turned around and looked at him, "Come with me Usutu, let's both leave this place" she said, holding her hand out for him to take, because he'd be able to speed with her if he did.

After finishing the painting, covering it in white, Daphne stuck her hand out. Usutu looked at it as she asked him to come with her. Sadly, he thought he should stay. He wasn't done with Pinehearst. His destiny here still awaited him. "Sorry. I must stay." he said as he began to turn his back to Daphne. "Go." he whispered.

Daphne looked at Usutu with amazement in her eyes, she couldn't believe he wanted to stay. Here he was trying to make her leave, yet he was going to stay, it didn't seem right. Looking confused she sighed gently.
"But why would you want to stay?" she asked him slowly, she was worried, worried for him by staying, and worried for herself for staying around much longer.
Then he was whispering for her to go. But she felt she couldn't. She couldn't leave until he told her why he would stay, even if it meant putting her life at risk.
"I can't go, not until you tell me why you're staying" she said, looking at him with her lips pouted slightly, and her hands on her hips.
