7th February, 2009
It'd been a while. Bruce hadn't seen Carla around for almost the entire day. He had tried her on her mobile, but she hadn't answered. He was hoping that she would get home soon. He continued to look at the window, checking to see if her car rolled up in the driveway.
Little did he know, that she was going to show up soon.
He called her again on her phone. "Carla, where are you?" He said as she answered.

It had been a few days since Emilie had found her younger brother Stephen doing tricks with his ability in the street. She had taken him to the local park where she used to take him as a kid, and it sparked back some memories for him. Now she had found her brother, she had to do her next mission, which was to warn her parents to make sure they took them all away on the day Michelle was killed.
Of course Emilie knew exactly where her parents lived, as she hadn't lost her memory unlike her brother. So she took herself off to where they stayed. Since Emilie arrived, she had nowhere to stay, and she just stayed at the dorms of the school even though she didn't take any of the classes there in this time line.
She stood around the drive way of the home wondering what she would say to them when they answered the door. However she saw a car approaching as she looked into the window she noticed that it was her mother Carla. Looking a lot younger of course, but it was definitely her.
When the woman asked her if she could help Emilie, "My name is Emilie and I've got something important to tell you and your husband" she said with a weak smile.
Her mother then said she had better come inside, and she did, as Carla opened the door, she stepped in behind her, as she did so, she heard her mother tell her father that she was home and had somebody with her.

Carla had been in the town getting a few baby things. She had been doing that a lot recently, buying baby clothes and accessories, she was doing it the day she'd met Stephen. Carla still hadn't told Bruce about her little bump into their son who they hadn't already had. At this point, Carla wasn't even sure if he was one of the twins, and as he had no memory he couldn't tell her. She was scared to tell Bruce in case he wouldn't believe her.
Just before Carla got back into the car to go home which would only take her a few moments, her cell phone rang. The soon as she answered the phone, she didn't even get to say hello when Bruce's voice came over asking where she was. She sighed gently, he was such a worrier.
"I was just out getting more baby things, I'm just on my way home, I'll be home soon" she said with a smile. As she flipped the phone closed and stepped into the car.
Within about ten minutes she was back home, however, as she got out of the car she saw a figure hanging around the drive way of her and Bruce's home. Carla parked the car and went up to the figure who turned out to be a girl around her own age it looked like. "Hello, can I help you?" she asked.
The girl turned and smiled at Carla and said her name was Emilie and she had something important to tell both herself and her husband.
"Well you better come inside then" Carla said, as she picked up the bags and went to the door, opening it, and beckoning on the girl to come into the house with her.
"Hi Bruce, I'm home and I've got somebody with me" Carla said, as she closed the door behind Emilie and walked into the living room where Bruce was waiting.

Carla told him that she was just out getting baby things. He was satisfied for now, at least. She had actually answered her phone, which was alright. He had been getting worried. As she hung up, he sat around, flicked on the TV. Supernatural was on, which was a show that he completely loved. His favorite character was Dean. That smartass kind of reminded him of himself.
He flicked the TV off quickly as Carla walked in and he walked quickly to the door to welcome her. He noticed, as he walked in, that Carla had a guest, just as he said it. He kissed Carla and stuck out his hand to the new comer. "Bruce Adams." He introduced himself to her. "And you are?"

As Emilie followed her mother into the house, she saw her father Bruce before he even said anything. She smiled as Bruce gave Carla a kiss, nothing much had changed then she thought. They were just as close as this in the time she had left them, only they were older of course. She saw her father put his hand out and introduce himself and she shook it giving him a weak smile. She had no idea how awkward this was going to be, and right now it was looking very awkward indeed.
"I'm Emilie Claire Adams" looking from her father to her mother, because she hadn't given Carla her full name before, she'd only said Emilie.
"I've got something really important to tell you and I know you're going to think I'm crazy, but I'm your daughter, and you have to listen to me" she said with her eyes wide open and looking from her father to her mother.

Carla gave Bruce a kiss back when he kissed her and she put the bags down on the living room carpet next to the sofa. Of course he immediately introduced himself to the girl she had brought in who had been outside in their drive way. She would have done so herself, but well he had been too quick for her.
When the girl said her full name however, Carla looked at Bruce and then took a deep breath in. She had already met Stephen their son from the future, with the name, she had to assume that this was one of their children from the future as well.
And then Emilie said it. She was their daughter, and that they might think she was crazy. Of course Carla didn't think she was crazy, she had already met her son.
"Hi Emilie" Carla said softly, and then going and wrapping her arms around the girl who was a stranger to her, but she wouldn't be a stranger to the girl. "I don't think you're crazy, I've already met your brother Stephen, he's here in this time line too, but he doesn't remember anything from when he arrived from the future at the age of five" Carla said softly as she then looked from Emilie to Bruce biting down on her bottom lip, for Bruce was sure to wonder why Carla hadn't told him about meeting Stephen.
"So, what's this something?" Carla then asked, as she pulled away from Emilie and looked at Bruce again.

As the girl introduced herself as Emilie Claire Adams, Bruce laughed at the coincidence. But, he was shocked as she said she was their daughter. He turned to look at Carla, who wasn't as shocked as he was, hell, she wasn't shocked at all, really.
When she mentioned she had met their son Stephen, was it, Bruce turned to her, kind of angrily. "What?" He looked at her. "Why didn't you tell me about any of this? How could you not tell me" But he calmed down considering that the girl in front oh him was his daughter. He didn't want her thinking of her father as an angry man.
"What did you want to tell us, Emilie?" He said, smiling at her. "Perhaps we should sit down" Taking Carla's hand and pulling her softly to the couch.

Emilie was glad when Carla didn't think she was crazy after all, and when she put her arms around her, Emilie didn't hesitate to do likewise. However, she would call them Carla and Bruce in this time line, because they weren't any older than she was, and it just wouldn't feel right to call them mom and dad. She hoped they would understand.
"I've already met Stephen as well, but he's very confused, he had no memory about he is after he was taken. I spent quite a bit of time with him taking him places so he could get some of it back and he did. I wanted to bring him here, but it didn't quite work out that way" Emilie explained, looking from Carla to Bruce.
When Bruce shouted at Carla angrily, Emilie stepped away slightly. She had never seen her father shout at her mother like that, it seemed strange to see him do it now.
"You've never spoken to mom like that" she said softly looking down at her feet, but she was happy to see him turn back to a normal speaking voice and taking Carla's hand and sitting down with her. Now they both asked what the something was, and this was going to be the tough part.
"I came to this time for two reasons, one of them was to find Stephen which I've done, taking him back to my time might prove difficult however" she began slowly, taking a deep breath before continuing.
"The other reason, my twin Michelle Annalee was murdered when she was seven, I've come to warn you guys, so that you can hopefully do something about it on that day to avoid it from happening" she explained. Looking from one to the other and hoping that it wouldn't completely shock them and that they would also hopefully understand.

When Emilie spoke of meeting Stephen and of him being confused and having no memory, Carla nodded her head, "Yes, he was like that with me too" she confirmed and then looked at Bruce with a sad face as he began to shout at her for not telling her.
"I..I'm sorry, it wasn't planned, I just, well I didn't think you would believe me, it seemed so unreal" she tried to explain hoping Bruce would understand. The last thing she wanted was for their daughter to think the two of them spoke like that to each other. Especially when Emilie voiced her opinion about it.
Carla however decided not to say anything about it, besides, Bruce calmed down pretty quickly, taking Carla's hand and pulling her down gently onto the sofa. She then sat and listened to what Emilie had to tell them. It shocked Carla, and she instinctively put her hand across her stomach. So they were having girls, she smiled slightly and then became sad again, because Emilie was telling them her twin was murdered.
"But that's so terrible" Carla said, as she could feel the tears begin to fall. Looking from Emilie to Bruce, she sighed gently through her tears, "Tell us what we need to do, and we'll make sure it doesn't happen, right Bruce?" Carla said as she looked into his eyes pleadingly.

When Emilie made a comment after Bruce had told off Carla, he felt really bad. He knew that that was the last thing Emilie had wanted to see, but it was so hard to keep the fact that his wife had met their son from the future and not told him anything about it. She apologized though, and said she didn't think he would believe her. "Of course I would believe you, Carla. I would believe anything you told me"
As Emilie explained the reason why she had come back, Bruce was outraged. Why would anyone want to kill his daughter, a 7 year old girl, for that matter. He turned to Emilie. "I don't think I could let that happen. No way in hell I would let it happen. And the fact that your my daughter should tell you that you know what I can do. My ability" He said.
"Speaking of which" He looked at Emilie. "Do you have... an ability?"

Emilie sighed a little when her dad went on about his ability, of course she knew he had an ability, but it hadn't done him any good when Michelle was murdered, because he hadn't been at home, mom had been tied up and couldn't do anything about it.
"Your ability didn't help then, because you weren't at home dad, Bruce, dad..." she stammered over her words not sure what to call him in this time line. "God knows where you were and mom, well mom got tied to a chair with a gag in her mouth, even her telekinesis couldn't help, they blocked every move" Emilie explained all from her memory of being seven when it happened.
"I've got Power Mimicry, I can mimic one power a day by touch but they purge every Friday, I was able to get here by touching somebody with space time manipulation" Emilie replied, telling her dad about her power since he had asked if she had an ability.
"You have to make sure you are not at home that day, any of you" Emilie said in a firm voice, "On the seventeenth March, twenty sixteen, you make sure we're all away from the house, understand? And then on tenth of May twenty seventeen you have to make sure we're all away from the house again, then Stephen will not get sent to this time line" Emilie spouted off some more. She then stopped and looked from her mom to her dad and then sighed and dropped her head into her hands and began to cry. It was all too much for her, just telling them what dates to make sure they weren't at home had her reliving it all.

Carla sighed but smiled when Bruce said he would have believed her, that he would have believed anything she told him. Really she should have known that, yet she still held it back from him. She felt terrible now. "I really am sorry" Carla said, leaning her head on his shoulder for support. Carla may have been pregnant and married, but she was still only seventeen.
She then listened as their daughter from the future went on to tell them about the disasters in greater detail, and that they had to make sure they weren't in the house on specific dates, so that Michelle wouldn't be murdered and Stephen wouldn't be sent to this time line. Carla just sat in silence and nodded her head. She was stunned. What had they done for their family to be ripped apart the way it had she wondered.
"Don't worry Emilie, I'll have those dates etched on my brain, we will not let this happen to them, I swear" Carla said in a firm voice, giving her daughter a smile. Then she saw Emilie start to cry, but as Emilie was sitting beside Bruce and Carla was on his other side, she couldn't do anything to comfort her, Bruce would have to do that honour.

Emilie told Bruce that he wasn't their that night that her sister, his daughter, was murdered. Where the hell was he? Thank god that she came to warn him, because he didn't think he would be able to live with it. And he knew exactly what he would do when the time came. "I'll remember aswell. I'll remember the dates"
Emilie was crying, and Carla trying to settle her down. Bruce was standing above, thinking. What would happen for someone to want to kill a 7 year old girl, what ability must she have for that. "Their won't be a murder, Emilie. Your sister will live. I can assure you that"

Emilie looked from both her mom and dad again, she knew coming here to warn them was the best thing she could do. However, it was strange to be sitting here talking to her parents when they were the same age as she was herself.
She smiled at Carla when she said the dates were etched on her brain, and then Bruce said he wouldn't forget the dates either. The tears began to subside a little.
"Good" she said looking from Carla to Bruce again, "Because life was horrible for us, first Michelle was murdered and then Stephen disappeared, I wanted to search for him, but you wouldn't let me" Emilie said in a slightly defiant voice, even though she knew her parents were being protective and of course she had only been eight at the time.

Carla watched as Bruce told Emilie he would make sure that her sister wasn't murdered. He never said anything about making sure their son Stephen didn't go missing though.
"We don't want anything happening to either Michelle or Stephen" Carla said, giving Bruce a side ways look. Carla couldn't begin to think how upset and sad she would have been at the death of her daughter and disappearance of her son. Already the twins she was carrying now she was feeling very protective of.
"So you can be assured that we'll make sure it doesn't happen to either of them Emilie" Carla said as she leaned across and put her arm around Emilie and hugged her. "I can only imagine what life must have been like, but I'm sure we stopped you looking for Stephen because you were just too young" Carla said softly into Emilie's ear, "And maybe we were just scared we'd lose you too" she added giving her daughter a smile, and looking into Bruce's eyes as she touched her stomach, thinking how weird it was to have her daughter in front of her as a teenager, and inside her as a baby.
