July 1st 2009 James had had enough his father's rambling at that last board meeting. It seemed like it was the same speech day in and day out. He was like a broken record. James didn't know about the rest of the employees who work under his father, but he needed to get out, even if it was lunch time yet. So as we walked out of his own office, with his laptop, James told his secretary that he was going to get a coffee, and then left. It was only a short walk from the office building to the nearest Starbucks. James enjoyed the fresh air, or as fresh as it could be for him in a big city like this. Los Angelas was not the cleanest of places sometimes, but luckily where the building was situated, it was in the nicer part of town. Though deep down James was hoping to get out of his father's shadow, and move on from his experiences. James got to Starbucks, and saw that there was already a line up. Just great, thought James, thinking that the crowds would have moved on from the breakfast rush. Apparently not, or this was now the morning break rush, where everyone grabbed their coffees and latte's as they took their cigarette break. James was glad that he never picked up that habit. Though many of the employees at his father work did, and not surprising. His father always demanded things off all of them, including James. But he never took his shit, but James's only vise at this time was his woman, and they had to be blonde, or nothing else. Also maybe he did like a drink at night. Finally the line was moving, and then he was at the counter. "Hi, can I get a Cafe Breva. I will also have it here as well." The waitress took his order, and James went and sat down at a booth towards the back of the establishment, where laptops could be plugged in. James opened it up, and looked at all the work his father wanted him to do. It was quite alot, and just looking at it was making his head swim. Then his order came over, and he thanks the waitress. He then went back to one of the pieces that he was working on, as it was due to be finished for the meeting tomorrow morning.

It was mid to late morning, and Lucy had just got off from her modelling job. The people at The Chronicle were quite good with her allowing her the time for any modelling jobs which came her way. Lucy for the most part was a journalist for The Chronicle newspaper. She had a fashion column in it. Rather apt for a girl who had a part time modelling contract as well. She was due in at the paper for midday, and decided to come in for a quick coffee and a sandwich which she had bought from the delicatessen across the road. She ordered a decaf espresso light, and a chocolate muffin and then took it over with her to the back of the coffee shop.
There was only one spot left for someone working with a laptop and she noticed that it was across from a guy who seemed engrossed in his work. She was almost scared to interrupt him, but she didn't just want to sit down either, because that would have been rude. "Hi, sorry, I uhm, don't mean to interrupt you, but I can't see anywhere else with a spare socket." She began as she pointed to her laptop under her arm, with her head, seeing as both her hands were full. One with the coffee cup and the other with the muffin.
She wanted to check her e-mails, and of course, get her column written up with the fashion dos and donts. She just kept smiling at him as she waited for his response. Even though she couldn't see his face properly, she could tell he was young. Or at least around her age or so anyway. She really hoped he wouldn't mind, but she only had an hour to get her column written up before she had to head to The Chronicle's offices in California. If he wasn't happy to be disturbed, she would just have to make her way to the nearest internet cafe instead.

Jameson was in his own world, trying to get this report done for tomorrow, for his meeting with his father. He hated deadlines, but sometimes he worked best under pressure. Just when he was getting his head around what he wanted to say, he heard a female voice talk to him, talking something not seeing a spare socket. James then looked up, and saw her. Looked at where she was pointing, obviously her laptop, as she was also obviously looking for a socket to plug it in. But he looked at her again, and saw that she was very good looking. She looked like someone who also had their own original style.
He then shook his thoughts from his head, and replied. "It's okay. I am only just grasping what was needed. Probably glad for some interruption." Looking over at where his laptop was plugged in, there was a couple of spare spots. "There is a spare spot, if you don't mind sharing with someone who is slighty under pressure." That was an understatement. His father was hard to please, and so sometimes James felt that he was always trying to be the perfect employee, rather then his son.
James took a sip of his drink, and then watched, without being too obvious, as she set up her laptop. When the perfect time came, he extended his hand to her. "Though I should introduce myself, as we are now going to be sharing a booth. Jameson Trapper." He hoped that she wouldn't bring up the fact that his name sounded familiar, blah, blah, blah. He didn't mind people mentioning it, but it got old quick, especially when he had to talk about it several times in one day. But seeing who this person was, James wouldn't mind talking about it. She might not really know who he is, or who he is related to.

Lucy really hoped that this guy wouldn't mind sharing his booth with her, although, looking at how busy she was, she was sort of sorry she had to interrupt him now. She knew what it was like to meet deadlines, even if she did just have a fashion column for the newspaper, she still had to get her information in on a certain time to meet the printing time, and if she didn't, she wasn't sure her job at The Chronicle would remain safe. Not that Daniel or Brendan were nasty people, but they were the bosses, and they were the ones she had to keep pleasing.
Lucy let out a quiet sigh of relief when he looked up, spoke and said that he would probably be glad of the interruption. She gave him a bright smile, "Thank you, thank you so much, I really appreciate it." She said, rambling slightly, but that was a part of Lucy's personality. He then spoke further, pointing to the spare spot she could plug her laptop into. She laughed a little when he mentioned about being slightly under pressure. "Know that feeling, same here, journalist, well fashion column, but still I work for a newspaper." She rambled some more, still smiling at him as she set up her laptop and sat down opposite him.
"Thanks again for this." She then took out her sandwich, and took a sip of her espresso. It was at that point, she saw the guy hold his hand out to her, and mentioned introducing himself if they were going to share the booth. She smiled brightly again, taking his hand in her own and shaking it firmly but gently. "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you Jameson Trapper, Lucinda Carter." She replied, introducing herself.

James heard her sigh when he responded to her, in regards to her sitting and joining him. He had already said that it was probably good that he was getting interrupted. She then smiled, saying thank you twice. James thought that she had a nice smile, something that would brighten up anyone's day. Well it soon turned his day around, thinking that he was only going to be stuck in here typing up this damn report. Now he had a nice distraction to contend with.
James wondered how she could know the feeling of being under pressure, when she then answered his question that he had just thought. It was refreshing to meet someone who was not working for his father for once. "So, fashion. Any tips for my fashion sense?" At this time James was wearing a light purple work shirt, black tie and black suit. But the jacket was obviously off at this point, and the tie losened a bit. He had to remember to fix himself up before he went back to the office.
He waited to see what her comments were, and then after she finished putting in her laptop, and started to eat her sandwich, James extened his hand out. She took it and introduced herself. He noticed she had a nice handshake, which he was not used to with females. Sometimes they gave off a limp one, but not this woman. "Pleasures all mine Lucinda. Giving you some space to do your work is the last I could do." James smiled, and then looked down at his laptop. Shaking his head, he drank some more of his Cafe Breva, and then carefully put the cup down.
"Which newspaper do you work for? I unfortunately have to keep up with all things business, and look at quite a few papers each day." He leaned in and then continued, "I don't want to be behind for certain reasons. One being my father." That was so true. His father knew everything that was happening. When conversations were started about something that he had read in the paper that morning, James had to know what he was talking about, or he would get that look. The look of disappointment.

Lucy gave him a bright smile when he asked if she had any tips for his own fashion sense. Looking at him, he was dressed as the obvious business man, and it suited him. She did wonder what he would be like dressed more casual. However, there was nothing wrong with what he was wearing. "Well, I don't know how you dress casually, out with work, but what you're wearing now really suits you. You look very dashing and every inch the business man."
She smiled more brightly at Jameson when he said the pleasure was all his and giving her space was the least he could do. He seemed very nice and Lucy could feel herself warming to him already. She did blush ever so slightly, when he said that the pleasure was all his. "Well, thank you." She wasn't sure what else she could say to him at that point. She smiled again when he asked what paper she worked for.
"I work for The Chronicle, not sure if you've heard of it?" She said it like that, because with it being a newspaper for Evolved Humans, if he was a normal human, he probably wouldn't read it, unless he was one who didn't mind people like herself and read it to keep up on the Evolved Humans world. "You work for your father I assume?" She took a guess when he mentioned about not being behind and one of the reasons being his father. It made Lucy glad she wasn't working in a family business, it must be very difficult to keep your family impressed all the time.
"I'm also a part time model, The Chronicle are very good at giving me time for modelling jobs." Lucy had no idea why she told him that, it wasn't like he asked, but Lucy always rambled a little when she was with men, especially men she was warming to. She finished her sandwich and took several drinks of her coffee and then began to eat her muffin. She had no e-mails, well none which couldn't wait until she was back in the office, which was good.
She quickly wrote up her fashion column for the following day, and sent it off to the assistant editor to get it checked for errors, not that Lucy made many errors, but it was part of the process for the printing stage, everything had to be run past the editor or assistant editor. before it was sent to the printing room. Now that she was finished with what she had to do, and hoped that she had given Jameson enough peace to do anything important he may have wanted to do himself, she thought she would try to make some light, general conversation.
"So, what does Jameson like to do in his spare time?" She was a bit of an outdoor girl herself, having a passion for extreme sports. She wondered if Jameson would be into anything like that himself.

All Jameson could do was smirk at the fact that she thought he looked dashing, and every inch the businessman. "Well, I was going for the businessman look. But never thought about trying to look dashing. Thank you." He hated some times wearing the suit, but if it kept his father happy and quiet, he would continue. James then thought about what he wore outside of the office, and decided to fill her in on that for some reason. "Well, when I am away from the office front, I like to just wear a nice pair of pants, sometimes jeans, and a casual button down shirt. Ties stay with the suit, and sometimes in the bedroom." Why did he just say that, but it was true. He was a guy who liked to do kinky stuff.
James listened to Lucinda, as she told him for the paper she worked for. "I have heard of it, as I am an Evolved Human myself. So I have always read what has been happening in our special world amongst the real humans." Then of cause, Lucinda asked him if he worked for his father. "Yes, unfortunately. Though I am hoping to actually get out soon, and maybe start a branch off of the family company, or just start something myself. I just feel that sometimes I have to please him so much, that I have had enough of it. All the employees must think that I am being a suck up or something. But wait till I get out from his shadow. My father won't know what hit him."
James felt a bit better after talking about all that he had been feeling lately. It was getting to breaking point, and today was no different. Even though he had escaped earlier, James knew that he would have to eventually go back and face his father once more. Then Lucinda said that she was also a part time model. James smiled at that, and could see why. She had flawless feathers, and a cute nose. Looking at her hair, she seemed to not go with the latest trends, like she had her own style, which was refreshing to him. Most of his girlfriends over the last few years were always the same, so seeing Lucinda, was refreshing. "Well, I can only imagine your modelling schedule would be full then? Even if it is only part time."
He watched as she finished off her sandwich, and then drank her coffee. He turned back to his laptop screen, and looked at what he had typed. Towards the end it didn't make much sense, and he would have to fix that before his father looked at it. He occassionally looked up from his laptop, to see what Lucinda was doing. He couldn't really see her laptop screen, but really it was none of his business with what she was doing. But she did seem to be typing up something that took a few mintues to put together. James wasn't one of the slowest typest, but he wasn't one of the quickest either. So most of his stuff, he gave to his secretary to proof read.
He was just taking out his flash drive, putting it in his bag, when Lucinda asked him what he liked to do in his spare time. "Well, I like hockey. I sometimes play it, but love watching it on tv, or seeing a game. I don't have a lot of friends who like the sport, but it is so fast paced, it is incredible." He wondered if he should talk about the sport more, but didn't want to do that as most women didn't like sport. So he decided to mention other things he liked to do. "I love music, and love playing my guitars. It helps with passing the time, after a stressful day working for my father." That was so true. He sometimes like to just play his electric guitar rather loud.
Looking down at his empty cup, he wonder what Lucinda liked to do, so decided to turn the question to her. "So, I might as well ask you the same question. What does Lucinda liked to do in her spare time?"

Lucy shook her head with a smile when she saw Jameson smirk at her comment about him looking dashing. However Lucy never lied, especially when it came to fashion, and always told it how it was, and that's how she saw him. "Well then, I'd have to say the dashing must come automatically if you weren't trying." She blushed a little after saying that. She had after all more or less just flirted with him without even realising it. Then again, Lucy liked men in general, but there seemed to be something about this man which was drawing her to him, and she couldn't figure out what it was.
He then went into a description of how he normally dresses out with work. She nodded her head and smiled at what he was telling he wore. "Sounds good, but of course I'd actually have to see you wearing the clothes to give a proper response." God damn, she'd just done it again, what was wrong with her? It would seem he was bringing the hidden vixen out in her.
When he continued talking about his casual dress sense and mentioned about ties staying with the suit or the bedroom. She looked at him and raised her eyebrow then, but couldn't help but smirk. So, he was a bit kinky then. She realised she liked it. Well, it would seem he was definitely bringing the vixen out of her. "Now that sounds a bit kinky Jameson." She couldn't help but say it, and immediately felt her face blush again, what the hell was he doing to her?
Lucy smiled when Jameson said he had heard of the paper as he was an Evolved Human himself, that was another plus she thought, he was handsome, so far charismatic, kinky and an Evolved Human, he was pushing all the right buttons so far, that was for sure. "I have flight myself, how about you?" She thought since they had confirmed they were both Evolved Humans it would do no harm to talk about their abilities. She then listened as he agreed he did indeed work for his father but was looking to get away from it, starting a branch or something by himself. She didn't really know him that well now, what with them just meeting of course, but she could feel already that he would have the balls, so to speak, to go it alone.
"Well I reckon you'd make a mighty fine job of starting a branch or something else on your own. Don't ask me why I think that, but something just strikes me that you would." So, not only was she flirting with him, blushing at the things he was saying, she was now giving him strong encouragement. What did all of that mean?
Now he seemed to be flirting back with her, as she noted what he said about her part time modelling schedule being full. She felt her face flush again then. "Well, not sure I'd go that far, but it's busy enough." She shook her head, as she used her hand to tuck a strand of loose hair behind her ear and bit on her bottom lip slightly.
After Lucy had finished doing what she was supposed to do before going into the office, she had asked Jameson what he liked to do in his spare time. She listened to what he said with a smile on her face. "That's great, would love to see you play hockey sometime." She blushed again the minute she said that, but she just had this vision of him in shorts, and it was a vision she was quite enjoying at that moment. So they had the love of sports in common, and then he said he loved music, something else they had in common. Even though Lucy couldn't exactly play, she loved listening to it.
"You play guitar? That's fantastic, I'd sure love to hear you play the guitar sometime as well. I love music myself, but I can't play any instruments, I just enjoy listening to it, find it really relaxes me after a stressful day at the office or a modelling job." She just realised she'd rambled all of that without taking a breath. She blushed again then, "Sorry, I sometimes do that, ramble."
He then asked the same question back to her, she finished her coffee and then began to reply. "Well, believe it or not, I'm into extreme sports, watching and more so taking part. I love rock climbing, white water rafting, snow boarding, you name it, I might just do it." She grinned then, wondering if that side of her would attract him to her more. "As mentioned before, I love music, listening to it, and I can enjoy a good book. Oh and I have a thing for movie premiers and parties." Although, maybe the glitzy glamourous side of her would put him off, not everybody liked to be in the public eye all the time. But she didn't see the point in holding anything back.

Jameson raised an eyebrow at her comment on him being dashing come automatically. Maybe it was, especially when around women. He did always make sure that he looked good in his suits, and knew that some women liked how guys came off all successful and powerful. Maybe that was his trademark. James told her how he dressed out of work hours, and she that it sounded good, but had to see the clothes to give it a proper response. "Well then. We will have to see about that then." If she was going to flirt, he might as well join in. He might even have fun with it. Normally he did this after work, when having a drink, and trying to pick up women, even though he was sometimes self conscious due to having no hair.
Jameson hadn't meant to say the thing about the ties, but it just seemed to fit in nicely to end off the clothing discusion they were aparently having. James would sometimes mention it when out meeting women. Some were into it, others not so much. Each to their own, but James liked to experiment sometimes, if the woman he was with liked that kind of thing. He didn't go all out with all the types of toys there were out there, but he knew his way around with a couple of things. But to James, it sounded like Lucinda might also be into kinky stuff. He made a mental note of that possibility.
When Lucinda mentioned that she had the ability of flight, she asked what he had. "Well, I have the ability of Element Control. I don't use it a lot, but it does come in handy sometimes." He sometimes forgot that he had the ability, especially when it would sometimes just switch on automatically. Though over the last few years, his father had made him practice a lot to get it under control with disasterous results. He hated his father mos of the time for pushing him so much.
After James had mentioned that he did work for his father, and his plans for getting out from under his shadow, and branching off from the company in question, Lucinda said that he would do a fine job of it. He smiled at that. Finally someone who actually believed in him, even if it was someone he had just met. He felt that this person was going to be someone who he could be good friends with, someone to encourage him, rather than to tell him what he should be doing.
He watched her face flush a bit when she replied to his response about her modelling. Maybe she might be someone he could be more than friends with. Who knew. He hadn't had anyone real serious for sometimes, with most of the women he dated, only hanging around for a short time. Maybe they were attracted to who he was, rather than who he was as a person.
James had to smile when Lucindas said that she would love to see him play hockey. "Well, I am playing next weekend. But you will have to rug up a bit as it is played in an ice hockey rink indoors. I just love how you never know if you are going to get into a fight on there. Done that a few times, and have been sent off for starting a couple of fights as well." He shouldn't be smirking at that, but sometimes you had to get your anger out. Jameson would rather do that on the ice, rather than at his father.
He then listened as Lucinda responded to his love of music, saying that she loved music herself, but can't play any instruments. He also had to nod when she said that she find music relaxing after a stressful day. "I have to agree with that. It just lets you get away from it all for a moment. Sometimes I can get lost in a song or album, that I forget where I am. Luckily most of the time I am at home. But have been lost in the song or album at work once, and didn't hear the phone ring. And now it seems that I have your rambling bug." He smiled at her, "And no need to be sorry." He thought it was cute.
When it was Lucinda's turn to tell him about her interests, he heard her talking about extreme sports. "Well I haven't done any of that, but it does sound like fun. Maybe something that I should try one of these days. I actually haven't had a good holiday since working for my father." Jameson made a mental note to tell his father that he would be going on holidays sooner than later. He had to get away from the stress, as it wasn't going to do him any good.
Then Lucinda went on about how she loves music, like she had mentioned before, and that she loves reading a good book. The last thing she added was about having a thing for movie premieres and parties. Well James also had a thing for going to parties, most nights anyway. "Well, maybe you will have a buddy for the parties then? I like going out and showing a woman a good time."

When Lucy had flirted with Jameson about his casual dress sense, she hadn't quite expected him to flirt back, but she had to admit to herself she liked it. She grinned at him, "Well Jameson, if that's the case, I look forward to that, very much." She just done it again. He was definitely having some sort of effect on her, bringing out the hidden minx or something. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear again and grinned mischievously.
When conversation had turned to their abilities, Lucy looked at Jameson with interest as he spoke of his own ability. Element Control sounded so much better than her own ability, although she loved being able to fly, it was a great way to get to places, without having to pay for costly flights. Unless of course she had to take luggage with her, it was a bit awkward to fly with a case in your hand.
"Well, your ability sounds better than mine at any rate. Element Control, must mean you are able to manipulate, earth, water, fire and air, yes?" In a way it was like having four abilities rolled into one, it was definitely interesting. A good one to use if you had to fight to protect yourself or somebody you cared about. She would have to remember that one if she ever ran into trouble, and go find Jameson to help her out. She then blushed again for thinking like that.
When Lucy said she'd love to see him play hockey sometime, he explained that he was playing the next weekend, but she'd have to rug up a bit as it was in an indoor ice hockey rink. "Ooh, that sounds really good, a bit dangerous, a bit extreme, I like it. I will definitely have to try and make it then." She then secretly hoped she had no other prior engagements that weekend or she might be stuck. But she suddenly realised she really wanted to see him play.
When they got onto talking about their taste in music, Lucy listened, nodding her head and smiling in relevant places, and then when he stopped, he mentioned he had her rambling bug and Lucy couldn't help but laugh a little then. "Didn't realise it could be catching. But I understand exactly what you said, especially with the being lost in your music so much you don't hear the telephone or door bell ringing." She felt her face flush when he said she didn't have to apologise for her own rambling before, she just gave him a warm smile.
She was enjoying her conversation with Jameson, and she thought he might be the kind of guy she could get on with very well, really well, in fact. Although, as much as Lucy liked her men, she wasn't what you would call a man eater either, she would never make the first move, she just wasn't the type of girl to do that kind of thing, but she would flirt, and boy had she been doing that by the barrel load today.
She could only smile brightly as he mentioned he hadn't done any of the extreme sports she had mentioned, and how he should try it some time, saying he hadn't had a holiday for a while. She wondered if she should tell him she was going on a skiing trip to Canada in the next month, maybe he could have come with her, but would she have been pushing things? Well, they were getting on well enough, it wouldn't do any harm to mention it, as in a girl asking a new friend to accompany her.
"Well, when you talk of not having a holiday for a while, maybe you could accompany me to Canada when I go on a skiing trip next month?" Even though she had asked him as a girl to a new friend, she still couldn't help but blush, what if he thought she was being too forward? Well, it was too late to take it back now. She just gave him a weak smile wondering what his reply would be.
When she had mentioned enjoying going to parties and movie premiers, he mentioned she could have a buddy. So, he enjoyed that kind of thing also did he? Very interesting. "Well, you know, I might just take you up on the offer Jameson Trapper, because, I am usually always on my own, unless the agency assigns a male model to accompany me, but I hate that." She felt her face blush again, something else she had been doing a lot in his company since they had begun to talk, but she still couldn't help but think how much she was enjoying the conversation and company. "And I might have to see just how good a time you can show me.." She coughed then, biting down on her lip, hoping he hadn't just heard the word me, and tried to cover it, by slipping in the words, "a woman."

Jameson nodded when she acknowledged what he had said, in regard to his casual dress. To him, Lucinda seemed like she was liking the flirting, as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear again. That grin of hers was he found himself liking very much. It wasn't forced, like some women did, to just impress a guy. Lucinda wasn't doing that at all. It was all natural on her end.
Jameson listened to when Lucinda commended about his ability sounded better than her own, and then attempted to think of what it might entail. "Well, I think I would like to have your ability. It would be good to just fly away from my father, and leave my problems with him and the company behind me." He paused, and then continued. "And yes, that is how my ability works. Though sometimes I forget that I have it, as I haven't really needed to use it for anything." Sometimes Jameson felt that it was a waste on someone like him.
When Lucy commented about hockey, and that she would have to try and make it, James nodded. "It would be great to see a familiar face in the crowd." He always had his friends there, mostly in the team he played for, but it would be nice to see a female face amongst all the testosterone. Normally there were more guys than girls, and sometimes that was probably a good thing, so it wasn't a distraction from winning the game. But still, looking at Lucy, it would be a good distraction.
James had to laugh a little, when Lucy spoke about being lost in the music, and not hearing the phone or door bell ring. "There was this one time, that I was listening to music at home. I hadn't heard the doorbell, or the heavy knocks at the door. It was my dad, standing there. I still hadn't answered, so he had to ring my phone to get my attention. Shit, was he angry as anything, but I found it kind of funny." That was a great day that one. His father was fuming, thinking that Jameson was ignoring him.
He noticed Lucy smiling as he mentioned that he hadn't done any of the extreme sports she had said to him. After he had mentioned about trying it sometime, Lucy responded, by suggesting that he accompaning her to Canada next month when she goes skiing. Well, it had been long overdue for Jameson to have a proper holiday, why not. He looked at Lucy, and smiled brightly. "Well, I do deserve a fantastic holiday after the shit I have been taking from my father. When would you be leaving? Just that I don't want to book any meetings around that time." Jameson hoped that he hadn't scheduled any meeting for the dates that she may or may not give him. At that time, while he waited for a reply, he got out his phone, and looked on his calendar.
Jameson listened to Lucinda, telling him that she might have to take him up on his offer of being there with her at eachone. Then she spoke about how she had to go to the premiers on her own sometimes, or the agency assigned a male model. "I understand about you hatting that. I always hate my friends setting me up with blind dates. It just doesn't seem right." Then Lucy responded to what Jameson said, about showing a woman a good time. He lent in, and said, "I am sure that you won't be disappointed." Jameson left it at that, and looked down at his cup, with a smile on his face.

When Jameson said he would love to have her ability to be able to just fly away from his father and work problems, Lucy could understand why he would want her ability. "Well, I have to admit, it is good to just get away from it all." Maybe if they were to become good friends, or something more, she could take him for a fly sometime. Give him a taste of what it can be like to be free as a bird.
Lucy smiled when Jameson said it would be nice to see a friendly face in the crowd. It did make her wonder if nobody else went to see him play, or if he was just referring to the fact she was a woman. However, she didn't comment on it, and just hoped she would be free to attend his game. Given that she really wanted to go however, she'd make sure she was free.
When Lucy had told Jameson about how she often got so lost in her music she didn't hear the door bell or telephone ring, he went on to tell her a story of a similar thing. She laughed, she couldn't help it, just the way Jameson told the story made her do so. "I can only imagine how annoyed he was, but like yourself, I would have found it kinda funny as well."
When Lucy had suggested Jameson accompany her to Canada on her holiday, she wondered for a moment if she'd been too forward, but she was glad to see a bright smile appear on his face, so she took that as a good sign. "Well, I'd love to have you come along, I was just going to be going by myself, yes, I know, sad, but other than work colleagues, I don't have many friends. It will be good to have some company. I actually wasn't sure if I'd actually been a little too forward, so I'm glad you'd like to come along. I leave August eighth for a week." She now hoped that he would be free on those dates.
"It's definitely not right Jameson, but when you don't want to appear a loner at these functions, it's sometimes better to just take the male model with you. But it's never the same as when you're with someone you actually like and gel with. It's usually always so awkward and then you strain for proper conversation, it's just raaaah" She pretended to pull at her hair, and then she laughed after it.
When Jameson lent in to say he was sure she wouldn't be disappointed, she leaned in closer to him herself, noticing that he was looking down at his cup, but smiling, she put her hand on top of his gently, "I am sure I wont be, which means we should really put it to the test." Alright, had Lucy just asked Jameson on a date? She hadn't meant to, but she realised she didn't care, and actually hoped he might say yes, and hopefully it would be some time soon.

It seemed that Lucy might be his kind of person to hang out with, or even see how it would go with dating her. She seemed to have like what had happened that time when his father got rather angry at him. But really it wasn't his fault that he love his music. His father never really understood that side of it, saying that his type of music was just a lot of noise. Of cause his father would say that, he was more into classical music. "Well that makes too of us," as Jameson commented about her saying that she would have found it funny.
James shook his head, when Lucinda said that it was sad that she was going on holidays alone. "No, it's not. You don't know how many times I have been on holidays all alone. Well I would go, only because my father would go, but this was some time ago, when I was looked after by a nanny. So maybe she was my only friend then. And now, well, I have occassionally gone by myself. Though I have to admit that most of the time, I would take a girl I was seeing, though they never lasted. I might as well have been there on my own. Maybe they were just seeing the family name and money, and not the real me." James hated that. The women he would date would always fling themselves on him, and then when they didn't like what they saw, personality wise, off they ran. He felt his face fall a little as he thought about that.
But then he looked at Lucy, James gave her a smile. Listening to her, telling him that she wasn't sure if she was being too forward, and then told him the date. "Well, I am probably used to woman being forward, and I am glad that you asked. I have this feeling that you are different to the women I have met. A good different, if that makes sense. And I am pretty sure that that date will be fine. I will just rearrange my schedule if it clashes with anything." He was glad to have some time away from his life, and just relax for once. "I will give you my email address, and you can send through any details that I might need." James got out a piece of paper, and wrote down his address.
James had to let out a laugh, as Lucy explained about going out with male models to parties, and so forth. He totally understood. He had mentioned about the whole blind date thing, which he hated. But sometimes that was probably the only way he met women now. His father never really gave him any free time at all to have any real social life. When he did, it was with some random woman his so called friends hooked him up with. He was over that so much.
After James told Lucy that she wouldn't be disappointed, in regard to showing her a good time. He smiled as she put hand hand on top of his gently, and he looked up at her, as she replied, saying that she was sure she wouldn't be, and basically suggested that they go on a date. James wondered if she was just saying that. But looking at her, he saw that she was really asking, in her own way. "Well, why not. I can be free on Friday night, which is only two nights away. I can totally cancel my dinner meeting with my father. He will live."

{OOC - Loving Jameson - he's so Lex in many ways - love it}
Lucy gave Jameson another warm smile when he had remarked that it made two of them, when she had said she would find it funny about his father getting upset over his not hearing him because of the music. It would seem they had slight similarities in personality and Lucy liked that. It wasn't often she came across a guy who was a lot like she was personality wise, and usually she was always too forward with them and they ran a mile. So far, so good with Jameson.
Lucy smiled again, when Jameson shook his head saying that it wasn't sad she was going to go on holiday by herself. She then listened to what he said with regards to going on holiday with his father. And how his nanny was probably his only friend back then, Lucy felt her heart reach out to Jameson then. It seemed to her, that he may have led a rather lonely childhood, and that was a little sad. When he spoke of sometimes taking women with him, but they had never lasted and mentioned that it might be they just saw the money, Lucy shook her head. "Well, they're idiots for only liking the money and not the real you. I've seen past the money, and personally, I wouldn't care if you were the King of England, I'd still like you for you. I'd never just date you because of money or your name." Lucy gave him another warm but understanding smile.
No, she'd date him because he had a terrific personality, from what she could see so far, and he was handsome, despite his loss of hair. Yes, Jameson Trapper was definitely someone she could really get to know and like very much, maybe even love. She smiled at that thought, and then felt herself blush slightly. Damn she thought. When she had said she wasn't sure if she'd been too forward over the holiday suggestion, she was pleasantly surprised at his answer.
Another thing that was similar with both of them, she was usually a little forward, without thinking, and Jameson seemed to like that, or at least be used to it with women. She felt herself blush again when Jameson said he had a feeling she was different to his other women, and a good different. "Well, I'm glad you think so, but, I don't put on an act, I'm just me, and in this instance, I'm glad I asked you also." He then said the dates should be fine, and if not, he'd rearrange anything which needed to be done. She gave him a bright smile then. "Great." Then he said he would give her his e-mail address so she could send over any details he may need. She watched as he wrote that down on a piece of paper and handed it over to him.
"Thanks Jameson, and no problem. Here's mine." She then wrote her own e-mail address down, both her personal and work one and handed a business card with the e-mail address on the back over to Jameson. She could send him over the details she had herself of the hotel she had booked, and that's when she got a little embarrassed, as she had booked herself a double room, being used to her own double bed at home. Then she blushed even more furiously when she realised that Jameson would probably book a room of his own. Now she was glad she hadn't mentioned anything about the room, she'd have felt like an idiot.
When she had basically asked him on that date, she was glad when he responded with a 'why not' and then went on to say he could totally cancel his dinner date with his father. Lucy had to smirk at that, only because she was thinking back to his father being pissed at Jameson not hearing him at his door because of his music. "Well, Friday night suits me just fine. So, it's a date then?" Lucy asked, knowing full well that's exactly what they had just arranged, she then grinned at him. This was going to be great and she simply couldn't wait to see the real Jameson when out partying.

Jameson listned to what Lucy said, in regards to the women who ditched him constantly. He had to smile, acknowledging what she was saying, "Thanks Lucy. At least there is one girl who likes me for me, and not for my money or name." He had felt a bit down then, after talking about it, but when she said those things to him, he felt a bit brighter. Maybe his love life was on the up and up now. Fingers crossed.
After that discussion, James saw Lucy smile, and then blush slightly. He wondered what she was thinking. If only he had the ability to see what people were thinking, or maybe hear what they were thinking. But maybe it was a good thing that he couldn't hear her thoughts, probably a personal thing. Though Jameson knew that he was starting to like this girl, and her personality. She then commented on what he said about her being a good different. All James could do was smile at Lucy, and then look down at his laptop.
He was glad of her reply to him coming with her on her holiday. Jameson gave Lucy his email address, and then he watched as Lucy wrote down her personal and work email addresses. Why didn't James do that also? He took the business card off of her, and then looked at her email addresses. As he looked up from the card, and then to Lucinda, James saw her blushing. Again wondered why she was blushing for.
All James could do was smile at Lucy, when she said that Friday night would suit her just fine. "Yes, it is date." James got out his phone, and went into his calendar, marking down that he had a date with Lucy. "So where did you want to go? There is a great restaurant far from here, and next to that there is a club, which I would recommend. They have some great music there." Jameson didn't know what Lucy might be into when on dates, but what he said could be a suggestion.
