20th June 2009 It had been five days since Katie had her first baby scan and everything seemed well with the baby. It had been good having Zach there for support and she had needed it. When she looked at the screen and saw the tiny little foetus on the screen, Katie was faced once more with the image of Jake and she had began to panic, thinking that she was carrying a child who was also a part of the guy who had raped her. Of course Zach had been brilliant and she had managed to get over it within a few minutes and enjoy seeing her tiny baby looking healthy. She now didn't keep anything back from William, their sibling relationship was probably stronger now than it had ever been before. No matter how she was feeling, or what was bothering her, she told William about it right away, and he did what he could to reassure her or make her feel better. Today she was just out in the city center doing a bit of baby shopping. Even if it was still the very early stages, she wanted to be prepared. She wasn't buying baby clothes, it was more things like baby bottles, pacifiers, bibs, things which you didn't have to determine the sex of the baby for. She was just heading home, when she passed by a newsagent, and that's when she saw it. The front page. The headline. His face! Out of everything which stood out, it was his face. Those eyes, and instantly, his voice came back into her head. It was too much for her to take, she grabbed the paper and began to read it. So, raping her wasn't the only thing he had done which was wrong, he had been charged and found guilty for dealing drugs. She slunk down the wall and brought her knees up, and hugged them. She knew this was the kind of thing William wanted her to inform him of, so she took out her phone and rang the house, but there was no answer, she then tried his mobile, but it went to voice mail. She left a broken message for him, hoping he'd get it soon enough and come for her. In the mean time, she just sat there, with the bags by her side, and leaned her head on her arms and silently began to cry and shake, dropping the paper onto the ground as she did so.

Jonathan was just finishing up seeing a movie for his next review, and walked outside. He adjusted his bag over his shoulder, and headed in the direction of the nearest cafe, in order to start writing his review properly for the paper. He loved his job, and always tried to see a movie that had just been released, or had just come out on dvd. He was always wanting to keep up. But some times he didn't get a chance, which annoyed him.
Just as he was walking passed a newsagent, he saw a girl slump to the ground. He didn't know what to do, as she then began to hug her knees into herself. Jonathan slipped over to the news stand, and pretended to look at a random magazine, but still keeping an eye on the girl. He started to worry about her, wondering if he should ask if she was okay. But then he saw her take out her phone, and begin to dial. So maybe she was contacting someone. Jonathan went back to looking at the magazine, which he soon realised was porn. He instantly put it back on the rack.
Jonathan felt himself blush a bit, and then look back at the girl. She now had her head down on her arms, and was shaking. The paper she was holding fell to the ground. Jonathan quickly walked over there, and picked up the newspaper. Gently touching her arm, he decided it was a good a time then any to talk to her. "Are you okay?" He waited for her reply, and then looked at the front page of the paper she was holding. Well this could scare anyone, just knowing that he was out there and doing that stuff.
Jonathan knew a little about what had been happing with this case, what with working for The Chronicle. It was the daily news around the office, especially since it effected Brendan Harris the most, who worked there.

Katie had really wanted William to be at home, or to answer his mobile, but since neither happened, she wasn't sure what she should do. Should she just try to make her way home, or just stay where she was and hope William came for her soon? She decided that she best stay where she was seeing as she'd left the broken message for William. If she then left, and he came looking for her and she was gone, he'd worry about her and she didn't want that.
So, she continued to hug her knees and shake, as she tried to keep the tears from falling. She had finally thought she had put all of this behind her, especially since the hypnosis had began to work, and she was having less nightmares. But this front page news and headline was a nightmare in itself. The only good thing about it was, it looked like he was in a cell. Which meant he couldn't get her, right? Being so lost in her thoughts, she didn't even know anybody had approached her, until her arm was touched.
She immediately jumped of course, because of what she was thinking, she looked up and sighed a gentle sigh of relief being able to see that it wasn't 'him'. The soon as the words were out of the guy's mouth however, Katie began to cry heavier, because she really wasn't alright. She was anything but alright. The guy looked so handsome, and he seemed to have a very a friendly face. But why would he even be bothered with her? She was twenty one and pregnant to a rapist, sexual assaulter, what ever you wanted to call him.
She shook her head, looking up at him, and wiping at her eyes, not wanting to cry over 'him' anymore. She pointed to the paper, and then wasn't sure whether she should tell him or not, but figured she had nothing to lose, because he was a complete stranger, and chances were she'd never meet him again. "Him, he, that, him..." She stammered over her words, as she struggled to find the right words to use to describe what he had done to her. "I was, sexually assaulted by him." She finally managed to stumble over the words, but she looked away from him again and just shook her head.
Not only was she pregnant by 'him', but Katie also saw herself as damaged goods now, someone else's cast off, who would want her? She had got used to the fact that the only person or people who would care about her other than her parents, were her brothers, William especially.

When Jonathan touched the girl, he saw her jump. He didn't mean to scare her, but he was concerned. When she looked at him, she began to cry heavier than she seemed to only moments ago. He wanted to wait and see if she was able to reply. So he crouched down and waited. Jonathan was a patient person, who would never speak out of turn, unless it was necessary. This was the time.
So he waited, and the girl shook her head, and looked up at Jonathan. She wiped her eyes, and then pointed to the paper she had before. Just looking at the guy was giving his the creeps. He wondered why any person would do anything like sell drugs, knowing that they might get caught doing so. But of cause this Jake guy did, and he messed with very powerful drugs and people, including one Brendan Harris. Jonathan couldn't imagine what Brendan went through, if he had been in his shoes, and his girlfriend was effected by the drug. But for Jonathan, he didn't have anyone to call his own, so he could just think of how he might feel if it 'did' happen.
The girl finally opened her mouth to talk to him, and he listened to her broken sentences. She seemed to know the guy, and then she said that he had sexually assaulted her. All Jonathan could do was just look at her, but not in a weird way. All he could do was find the right words to respond to what she had just said. "Um ... I don't remember reading about that. I didn't know he was charged with that as well. I am sorry this scum did that to you." Jonathan had only heard about Jake dealing the drugs, and giving it to unsuspected patrons at a casino in Las Vegas, but nothing about any assaults. Jonathan wondered if Brendan knew about this little piece of information.
He then looked around at the bags that she had around her. It all led to one conclusion, what with working at the paper, but not being an official reporter, that she was either pregnant, or just out buying baby items for a friend. Though the first thought was still playing on his miind as he spoke. "Can I call someone for you, or do you need a lift home or something?"

Katie could see out the corner of her eye the guy had crouched down to her level. He really did seem to be very kind, but ever since the whole Jake thing, Katie was being more careful when it came to members of the opposite sex, but who could blame her, after what she'd been through? Of course she had finally managed to find the words to tell him what was wrong. After Katie finally managed to tell the guy what was upsetting her so much, he responded saying he didn't remember reading about it, and not being aware he was charged with sexual assault as well.
Wiping at her tears again, and trying to get more composed so she could speak properly, she looked up at him again. "Probably because I never reported it? I was going through a tough time when it happened, blame myself to be honest." Even though being sexually assaulted was not her fault, it was how she felt, because if she hadn't allowed herself to go off the deep end after Joshua's death, then she wouldn't have gone through that phase where she was dressing against her personality and found herself with 'him'.
She did notice he had called him scum, and that he was sorry he had done that to her. "Thanks." What else could she say? He was just a stranger to her just now and one she had to be careful of, you just never know. Although with the way he was speaking, and the way he was looking at her, she didn't think he was going to be trouble.
She realised that from the bags around her it would be fairly obvious she had been shopping for baby things. She felt her face blush furiously then. Should she just tell him? She had already told him she had been sexually assaulted. He was just a guy helping her because of the current mess she was in, what harm would it do to tell him?
"The assault left me pregnant. But I don't see it being the child's fault, hence not having an abortion, and I don't even know why I'm telling you that." She laughed a little after that, as if he would want to know, or care. He then asked if he could call someone, or give her a lift somewhere. Once again she looked into those kind eyes of his and gave him a weak smile.
"I had called my brother, but I don't think he's able to take the call just now." She then used her hands to help her off the ground and looked down at him. "I don't live so far away, but thanks for the offer. I shouldn't bother you with my problems, you don't even know me." Katie said softly, giving him a weak smile, and placing her hand on his arm. "Thanks again." She then picked up her bags, and turned away from him, and began to head in the direction of the apartment she shared with William.
{ooc - figured he could always go after her lol}

Jonathan listened to everything she had said to him. He couldn't believe that all of this could happen to one person, who seemed so young to him. But normally these was always an underlying problem, but he didn't want to question anything she was saying. Jonathan didn't really want to piss off a pregnant woman. You never know what might happen, what with their hormones all out of wake. Or so Jonathan had heard and read. He had never actually spoken to one, or dated one, so it was all new to him. But he had respect for females, so knew that in their own time they always opened up.
The question as to why she didn't report the assault kept bothering him, but decided to keep it to himself. Sometimes people had a reason for doing so, so maybe she did too. When she said she didn't know why she was telling him all of it, he slightly smiled, "Maybe you just needed to tell someone other than family? I don't mind. I think I am a good listener. Whatever you need to say, you can share." Even though Jonathan was not a full fledged reporter, he still had that instinct in him to get the full story.
When Jonathan offered her a lift, or if he could call someone for her, she smiled weakly at him, and then said that she had called her brother, but he was able to take her call just now. After that comment she got up, and then said that she didn't live far away, and thanked him for the offer. Well, that was fine. He wondered really if he should still offer to walk her home. On that thought she touched his arm, and said thanks again, before walking away.
Without hesitation, Jonathan quickly ran up to where she was now. He turned to her, "If it is okay, I would like to walk you home. It would make me feel better, knowing that you got home safe." Jonathan waited for her reply, and then continued, "My name is Jonathan Baker." He stopped, and extended his hand to her, hoping that she would take it, and also take his offer for an escort home.

Katie couldn't believe that this guy was being so kind and sweet to her, even though he didn't know her and she didn't really know him, especially given the way she had spoken to him, she hadn't been horrible, but she hadn't exactly been overly warm with him either. But that was all down to the fact she was pregnant, and couldn't get it round her head that another guy would be interested in her now. After she had said she didn't know why she was telling him everything, he had said maybe because he wasn't someone in the family. Maybe he was right. She gave him a slightly warmer smile then.
"Maybe you're right, but I'm still sorry for laying it all on you, it's not as if it's your problem. I don't mean that in a bad way either." She said softly, looking at him, really looking at him, she could see the kindness in his face, in his eyes, there was nothing evil or sinister looking about him. In fact he looked as if he was a bit of a super hero. Someone who loved helping others, someone she could maybe trust.
He then went on to say he was a good listener and what ever she had to say she could share. Did he really want to know everything? Did he really want to listen to her go on and on about 'him' and what he did to her? Could she even bring herself to talk about it without getting upset? She wasn't sure and didn't know if she wanted to find out.
She decided it would be better not to go into details, maybe it was good to talk to someone who wasn't family, but what if she got really upset? The only person she could turn to when that happened was William, and he wasn't there right now. She loved William so much, he was really the closest family member to her now, well he really had always been, but he was now, more than ever. Just thinking about him, she instinctively put her hand up to touch the necklace he had bought her last Christmas. She never took it off, nor the earrings.
After she had thanked him for being kind and begun to walk away, he had ran after her and was soon beside her, speaking to her again. He wanted to walk her home to make sure she got there safely. She turned to him, and gave him a bright smile, at least she wasn't crying anymore. "Well, you know, that might be rather nice, thank you." She said, and slowed her speed down a little, as she had been walking very fast before, because she didn't think he would want to associate himself with a pregnant girl.
When he introduced himself, she smiled again, taking his offered hand and gently shaking it in her own. His skin felt so soft and good in her own. "Pleased to meet you Jonathan, my handsome saviour." She gave him another smile, then blushed, realising she had called him handsome. "I'm Katie, Katie Moore." She gave him her own name, and then she realised she recognised the name. "Oh, you're the guy who does the movie reviews for The Chronicle. So you must have an ability like me as well." She knew she was safe saying that, because only Evolved Humans worked for The Chronicle.

Jonathan smiled at her when she said that maybe he was right about talking to someone other than family about it all. Then she said she hated laying it all on him. Jonathan put his hand up a little. "It's no worries. I am used to listening to others and whatever they are going through." He hoped that she would confide more in him, even though they had just met.
Jonathan was glad that she responded positively to him going after her. That smile was a nice change to how he saw her face only moments ago. He hoped that if she did talk to him, that she would let him give feedback on the situation. Jonathan was okay with that part, but was most confident in just listening the most, and just being there for the person in quetion. When she said that it was okay for him to walk with her home. He soon noticed that she slowed down a bit to how she was walking. Jonathan kept fit, but still walking quickly wa sometimes tiring.
Katie took his hand he offered when introducing himself. He slightly smiled at what she called him. "Well, Miss Katie Moore, thank you for the compliment." Then she said she recognised his name. "Yes. I am that guy. And yes, I do have an ability. It is nothing too flash. I have impenetrable skin, where nothing can obviously penetrate my skin." He wondered what sort of ability Katie had. He took a bag off of her, and then asked. "What ability do you have, if I may ask?"
As he waited for a reply, Jonathan looked at Katie. She seemed like a young woman who knew what she wanted. That explained why she knew she needed to keep the baby. He didn't know why, but Jonathan wondered how far along she was. It might come up in conversatin later.

Katie smiled some more when the guy said he was used to listening to people's problems. She then wondered if she should just go ahead and tell him everything from the start. Then again, he was very much a stranger to her right now, would it be wise? "Well thank you, maybe it wouldn't do any harm to tell you the details." But she left it there for the moment, not quite ready to say anything yet. She wanted to make sure she'd be able to tell him without breaking down like she had done in the past.
After she had thanked him for being kind and began to walk away from him, he had come after her. In a way she was glad he had done so, as she'd thought more about telling him more about the details of what happened. Maybe now, he was walking with her, and they were going slowly, it would be the right time to tell him, give them conversation, even if it wasn't exactly the best conversation to have.
Katie gave him a bright smile when he thanked her for the compliment, even though she had blushed after saying the word, and was blushing again now. "You're welcome." She wanted to say I'm only telling the truth, but she felt her face was red enough already without saying it again and making her face even more red.
When Jonathan agreed that he was indeed the guy from the Chronicle, he told her what his ability was. She liked it. It sounded quite good to her, how good would it be not to be able to get physically hurt? "Well, Mr Jonathan Baker, your ability sounds very good to me. I have Invisibility." She smiled and then she looked around to make sure nobody was looking and made her hand go invisible as she waved it in front of his face.
Now they had got the formalities out of the way, Katie felt maybe she could actually begin to tell him more about why she was in the mess she was in. It was like she wasn't really talking to a stranger anymore.
"If you're a good listener like you say, then maybe I could tell you more about why I'm in the mess I'm in, but you will have to forgive me if I start crying at any point, it's been a while since I've told the full story and I'm not sure how much I'll be able to say and still keep my composure." She hoped he would understand, but she had a feeling, looking up into those eyes, he would indeed understand.
"It all started when my twin was killed, and I found his body and had to take it back home to my family. We had both been working for Primatech and we'd been sent on this assignment, and well, he was killed by a villain who had been on the scene at the time." Katie then stopped at that point, not that she didn't want to tell him the rest, just she didn't want to overwhelm him with all the details in one breath.

"Thanks, I guess," Jonathan said when Katie said that his ability was cool. In some ways yes and in some ways no. "It's great when you are up against someone who has a knife and wants to stab you. But if they have mind control, that can still get in unfortunately." Then Katie told him the ability she had. "Now that one sounds pretty cool to me. You could go anywhere without being detected." Thinking about having an ability like invisibility would have been handing when he was in high school. He watched as Katie smiled, and then looked around to see if anyone was around, and then she made her hand go invisible. All Jonathan could say was "Wow." He was rather impressed.
Then Katie spoke to him, saying that maybe she could tell him more about why she was in the mess she was in. She then said that he would have to forgive her if she started crying. Jonathan put a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay Katie. If you do get upset, you can stop telling me. I can't imagine how difficult it is, but if you need to stop at any time, just do so. I don't want to force a complete stranger into telling me the whole story.
So Jonathan listened to what Katie was saying. As she spoke, he couldn't believe that someome like Katie had been through so much as such a young age. She stopped then, after telling him about the death of her twin. "I am so sorry to hear that your brother was killed. I can sort of imagine what you were feeling. I have a younger brother who is six years younger than me. I can be so overprotective of him, but I love him."
He knew she hadn't mentioned about the attack by that Jake guy yet. He again reassured her by touching her shoulder. "You can go on if you like. But if it is too much, I won't push it." He then stood back a bit, wondering if she would infact trust him enough to continue on with her story.

Katie smiled and nodded her head in acknowledgment when he spoke about his ability being good in one respect but not so good in another. How it was good not to be able to be stabbed, but could still be mentally invaded. "I see, mind control can be quite nasty, so I can understand why it seems not so great when it comes to that." She couldn't begin to imagine what it would be like to have her mind controlled by another. In fact, in many ways she was glad 'he' didn't appear to have had any ability on him, she shuddered then at the thought of what may have happened if he'd have had something like Persuasion or Telepathy.
Jonathan then went on to say that he thought her ability was cool. Funny, how when it came to abilities, you never thought your own was as cool as the person you were talking to. "Well, I guess it's good to get out of certain situations, pity I didn't think to use it quick enough when..." She trailed off, it was still too difficult for her to talk about it all yet, even though she wanted to tell Jonathan everything, she felt like she could trust him for some reason.
When she had told Jonathan she might cry during telling him the story, he said it was fine and she could stop telling him. "Okay then." She smiled at him then, she did feel like she was getting somewhat back to normal now. Who knew, maybe if Jonathan became a good enough friend to her, he might be able to attend the next scan with her.
She then went into telling him her sorry tale, starting off with the death of Josh and she had managed to tell him the story up to that point so far. He was very apologetic about the death of her brother, saying he could sort of imagine how she felt, because of how protective he was over his younger brother. The reassuring touches he had been giving her on her shoulder hadn't gone unnoticed by her. "Trust me Jonathan, you can never be too protective over your siblings." Ever since Joshua's death, Katie had been more protective over Zach and her older siblings more than ever.
"So, anyway, I took Josh's death fairly bad, and not long before it, a very good friend of mine, had sort of admitted he had feelings, and well, I thought I did too, we tried to date, but it didn't work out, and between that and Josh, I began to think I was worthless. Started believing I wasn't pretty, and how would any guy possibly find me attractive." She was getting into the deeper territory of her tale now, and she wondered if she should be completely honest with him or not. But like he had said, it might be good to talk to someone who wasn't so close to the situation.
She just hoped he wouldn't think any less of her. "So, I began dressing, let's just say, very unlike myself, face caked with make-up, and began hitting the clubs, even though I'm old enough now, but I wasn't quite at the time. I was also..." She blushed a little before saying the next words, "a virgin, and I started putting the moves on the first guy I saw who didn't have a woman by his side. But I was in a very bad place you have to understand. Things moved on from there, and well, I did consent to it the first time, lost my virginity to, you know, him." She hoped he would know she was referring to Jake, she still couldn't really say his name.
"However, after an argument with my oldest, closest brother, I began to think what he was saying was true, and after storming out on the argument and meeting him again, everything my older brother had said, was beginning to sink in and all I wanted to do was just get the hell out of the club, and away from him, but he wouldn't let me go. Got forced into this room, and well, I think you can figure out the rest." She put her hands up to her face then, and began to hide behind them. She had surprisingly refrained from crying, but she was feeling very ashamed of herself at that moment. "I said no Jonathan, I said no, about three or four times, but he just wouldn't listen and I just couldn't get away from him."
With that, Katie couldn't hold back her emotions any longer, and she began to feel shaky, and then not sure why, she started to feel really nauseous, and felt herself falling to the ground.

Jonathan understood about not being able to use her ability in time. "A few months back, I was unable to stop a gunman from shooting a man. They of cause didn't make it, and I still feel like shit about not being able to stop the gunman from shooting the guy. He was a complete stranger, but unfortunately I was there to see it happen. Just wasn't fast enough I suppose. Maybe I should have had superhuman qualities, instead of just my ability. I might have gotten then super fast or something." Jonathan knew that he was meant to be there listeing to her story, but somehow he wanted to reassure her that what she was feeling, was what he had been feeling as well.
"That is so true," Jonathan said when she said that you can't be too overprotective over siblings. Jonathan felt that he had been neglecting his family, especially his brother, due to his work. But he knew that he was having some time off soon, so knew that would be the perfect time to do something for them.
Jonathan continued to listen to Katie's story about what had happened in the past couple of months. He had never been through any of this kind of heartache that Katie had obviously been through. Jonathan would nod and frown sometimes, especially when Katie said that she thought she was worthless. He shook his head, and then let her finish. When there was a slight break in the story, Jonathan touched her arm, "You are not worthless. No one should ever think that. I have only met you for a few moments, but I feel that you have so much to offer a guy." He then let her continue on.
Katie went on about how she had been acting and dressing, and then meeting that Jake guy in a club. Looking at her now, he would have had no idea that she would dress all sexily. Well, maybe she did, but how she was describing it, it just didn't seem like her somehow. When she had finished, he watched her put her hands up to her face. He wanted to so much just take those hands away from her face, and comfort her. But Katie continued to talk through her hands. Just hearing her say that she said no several times to this jerk make Jonathan feel sick. He didn't understand some guys. Why don't they ever understand that they don't treat women like that. Jonathan at least knew right from wrong. Others just didn't seem to understand at all.
The next thing Jonathan saw kind of made him freeze up. Katie seemed to be a bit shaking on her feet, and then she began to fall to the ground. Jonathn grabbed a hold of her arm, just before she hit the ground. He picked her up, and carried her in his arms, sitting on a bench near by. Once they were sitting, Jonathan kept her on his lap, in his arms. "Hey. Are you okay. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea telling me the full story."

When Katie had said she didn't think to use her ability fast enough to get away from Jake, Jonathan had went on to tell her about how he had been unable to use his ability in time to save someone from being shot. "You shouldn't feel like shit though, I mean, really it wasn't your fault, just think though, if you had like superhuman qualities along with your ability, you'd just be like Superman." Katie was now trying to make light of their current conversation, but she did understand how he was feeling. Although she hadn't seen her twin be killed, she had saw his dead body, so in a way, Jonathan not being able to help the person and seeing them be shot, wouldn't have been easy for him.
Katie just gave Jonathan a warm smile, as he agreed that you could never be too protective of your siblings. Katie had then went on with her story, getting into the deeper territories. As she spoke, she saw him nod his head and frown a few times, and when she had mentioned about feeling worthless, she saw him shake his head. When she had stopped for a break, she felt him touch her arm, which made her skin tingle, and she looked down at where it was, and put her own hand on top of his to reply to his words.
"Jonathan, it's so sweet of you to say that, really. But it was basically how I felt." When he went on to say that he felt she had a lot to offer a guy, she felt herself blush, what did she have to offer a guy now? Pregnant with a rapists child, yeah, guys were just going to fall over their feet for her. She sighed gently, "Thanks Jonathan, but I hardly doubt guys are going to be rushing at my feet. Who wants a woman pregnant with a rapists baby? Who wants to become a father to another guy's child?" She wasn't saying it hoping he would say different, she was just being honest, it was basically the way she was feeling.
She had then went on to tell him the rest of her story. When she had finished, she had put her hands up in front of her face because she was so ashamed of what she had done, after all, she was in this current situation because of her own stupidity really. Not long after she had put her hands up to her face she had begun to feel shaky and could feel herself falling. However she felt Jonathan grab her arm and the next thing she knew, she was being carried in his arms.
He seemed to carry her to a bench, and she soon felt herself lying in his lap with his arms around her. She had no idea why she had been feeling the way she was. She hadn't really suffered any of that morning sickness, women sometimes suffer, but she hadn't felt her hormones go totally crazy either. But she had definitely felt nauseous before falling. Maybe it was Jake-itis, she actually felt herself laugh a little at that. The first time she had actually been able to think of his name without feeling completely dirty.
She then heard Jonathan's voice, and she looked up at him, feeling very safe where she was lying, and not wanting to move. The handsome stranger who had come to her rescue earlier, had just done it again. Before she answered him though, she couldn't help but say in a giddy voice, "You really are a hero, aren't you?" Staring into his gorgeous eyes, she just wanted to kiss him, but after putting the moves on Jake, she wasn't about to make the same mistake again, no matter how different she knew Jonathan was.
"I'm fine, I think. Maybe just suffering from Jake-itis." Then she started to laugh, a girlie giggle type laugh, still looking into his gorgeous eyes, "First time I've been able to say his name, and actually laugh after it. Seriously, I don't know what happened, maybe just reliving it all, made me feel a little too sick, or maybe I've just done too much with the whole shopping trip today. But I'm feeling quite good suddenly." She really liked Jonathan, even in the short time they had spoken, she knew there was something special, magical about him.

Jonathan had to laugh at her comment, about if he had superhuman qualities, as well as what he had, he would be superman. "Well, that might come in handy. Though not sure if I would be able to handle all of those abilities. Sometimes I think one would be enough." Though maybe he might like to swap his ability for maybe speed, so that he could be fast enough to reach anyone that was in need.
He listened as Katie said thanks about him saying that she had alot to offer a guy, but basically didn't think she did. Jonathan kind of understood where she was coming from. What she was saying was all true, but it really wasn't her fault. "I can't speak for all guys out there, but to me, I don't think it would really matter. I suppose the guy might have that thought niggling at the back of their mind. But I would think that they would see past all of that, and just love you for you, not for what you were put through, leading you to this moment." He hoped that she would see that he was telling her what he was feeling, and not what she really needed to hear. Maybe she needed to hear it, so that she would know what he was seeing in her.
When Katie had begun to fall, Jonathn caught her, and took her over to a bench, where he kept her in his arms, as he sat. When he had asked if she was okay, and wondered whether she should have told him all of her story, Katie said that she was fine, and that maybe she was suffering from Jake-itis. And then she laughed. Jonathan hadn't heard her laugh over the last few moments that they were together, and he instantly loved the sound of it.
As they looked at each other, Katie continued to say that that was the first time she had been able to say his name and laugh after it. And then she added that she didn't know what had happened, in regards to her collapsing. Jonathan smiled at her. "Well I hope that you do a lot more of that, as he is not worth mopping over. He is a worthless piece of shit you should forget about, and maybe concentrate on getting life back on track. And maybe I should get you home to let you rest up."
He was glad that she was feeling good all of a sudden. Maybe it had been a bit too much for her to think and talk about what had happened that time with Jake. So maybe it was a good idea for her to go home.

Katie just smiled at Jonathan as he told her how he felt if he had superhuman qualities as well as his Impenetrable Skin. She then nodded her head in agreement, thinking the same thing. She wasn't sure how she would feel if she had more than just Invisibility to cope with. "It sure would come in handy, but I can understand what you are saying." She smiled again at him then, a bright smile.
After Katie had stated that she had little to offer a guy, she was beginning to wish, just for a few brief seconds, she was back home with William. He might be her brother, but at least she knew he would be there for her, and he always would be. Not that Jonathan wasn't sweet, he was, or at least, that's how she saw him, but honest, would he take her on himself? She had to doubt it very much. However, as she listened to what Jonathan told her, she had to wonder, was he just saying what he thought she wanted to hear, or was it how he felt? "Maybe, but who Jonathan? You?" She said it with a slight chuckle, because she really couldn't see someone who was as handsome as Jonathan was, with someone like herself.
Then reality hit, realising what she had said, she immediately looked away from him then. "Oh God, Jonathan I'm sorry." She mumbled the words, but hopefully clear enough for him to hear, she couldn't even look at him after that. Why did she have to go and say that? Of course, it wasn't long after that, Katie had felt weird and fainted, and Jonathan had caught her. As she began to feel better and came round from the faint, she looked at Jonathan, wondering if what he had said before, he really had meant it right enough. He could have just let her fall and leave her.
When she had explained about possibly suffering from Jake-itis and laughed after it, she felt good, as it had been the first time she had truly laughed for weeks. Since Josh's death really. When Jonathan spoke to her after, she loved what he was saying with reference to Jake. She didn't like the idea of him taking her home though, not now she was lying in his arms, and he was god damned handsome, she didn't want to leave him, not at that moment. "Thanks Jonathan, and I promise to laugh a lot more, since you seem to like it." She blushed a little then, as she continued to stare into his eyes.
She then lifted a hand and placed it on his face gently, letting her hand linger for a few seconds, "Really, thank you, but you know, I meant it when I said I was feeling good suddenly, I'm not sure I want to leave right now, not sure I want to leave you, right now." She immediately blushed right after she said that, and then wondered if he insisted on her going home to rest, if he'd walk her home, then that way, she wouldn't have to leave him right away, would she?
