Nov 25th
Henry didn't know how it happened. It had been a blur the entire time. He was frustrated, confused, soaking wet from the rain that had decided to come out of no where. His life was starting to go down a flipping spiral and there wasn't anything he could do about it!
So there he sat, in some alleyway in the middle of Manhattan. He was soaking from the rain, he was cold, and he was scared. He was scared out of his mind on what he had just done. HE didn't know why he did it. Had it really been self defense?
Henry looked over at the man on the floor, lying there dead. Henry had to avert his eyes. He didn't know how it happened. The guy just came out of no where when he tried to take a short cut home. If his day hadn't been bad before, it sure was now. He had just killed a guy. It was self defense, really. He didn't mean to slam the guy's head against the wall. It...it just happened.
Shakingly, Henry pulled out his phone, wiping tears out of his eyes. He needed to call someone, anyone. He needed to get home, get some help. The first number on his speed dial was Claire's.
"C-Claire. I...I need help...I-I did something bad. Just...Just please...help." he whimpered. "I don't know where I am...somewhere in an alley behind a Chinese place and an old clothing store." he managed to say over the rain. He tried to cover himself with his jacket.

Claire and Sam had decided not to go anywhere on a proper honeymoon, because he hadn't long treated her to a week away to Paris when he'd proposed to her, so they decided to just have a couple of nights at the Queens Hotel instead, which suited Claire fine.
Today was the first day she and Sam were spending together in their home as husband and wife, they had decided to move to Queens New York, so she could be nearer to Nathan, even though he would soon be moving into the White House, at least she'd still be near enough to him to see him every other day.
She was just getting ready to make the dinner for them both when she heard her cell phone ring, but by the time she went to answer she was too late and it already had gone to voice mail. She listened to it, and she was really worried when she heard the upset voice of Henry asking her for help. She began to wonder what it was he had done exactly. But she quickly wrote a message for Sam to tell him where she was going and pinned it to the fridge with a magnet and made her way to find Henry.
This was a moment when she wished she had super speed or something. She ran out of the house and made her way to the location he said, somewhere between an old building and a Chinese store, some alley basically. She kept running until she saw the buildings he had mentioned and the minute she saw the alley she began to run down it again. And she saw him in the distance, he looked as if he was in a complete mess. Her heart lurched. What was wrong with him. Henry was like her surrogate brother. She hated to think something was wrong with him.
She continued to run until she was beside him, and she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him into a hug. She could see the body lying there, and she did sort of start to put two and two together. But she was worried she may be coming up with five. "It's alright Henry, we'll sort this, whatever this is, tell me what happened?" she asked as she then gently pulled him out of the hug but kept her arm around his shoulder. She wanted to help him in any way she could.

Henry was huddled in the alley, leaning against the wall with his head in his knee. The rain had stopped by now and there was an eerie silence as he sat there. He could bare to look up, fearing to see the corpse next to him. He was a complete mess and looked completely out of character.
His ears picked up the sound of approaching feet. Looking up, Henry was suddenly enveloped into a hug. The blond hair and familiar voice told him that Claire had come. He remained quiet, realizing that the newly wed must have seen the body laying next to him. He could barely hear her when she asked him what happened. He tried to talk, but his voice was sore and could barely talk.
"He...He came out of nowhere. I...I tried to stop him...I...I didn't...I didn't mean to. It...it just happened." He groaned. He rocking back and forth now. "He...he...I...and then the wall...I...he...died and I...his..." by now his voice was rising and he was hyperventilating. Tears were ready to fall from his face and something was happening. A can nearby was starting to wiggle on it's own.

Claire was petrified for Henry. Not for what he had done, but for his state of mind. It was obvious he was very upset at what ever had happened. The fact he was so upset was really worrying her. She listened to his ramblings as he tried to talk, but nothing was really making much sense to her. She didn't want to get him to repeat it either, because he seemed to be very wound up as well. His voice was dry, he needed moisture. She went into her bag, she had a bottle of water there luckily enough.
"Here, take some of this" she said, and continued to try and calm him, with her arm around him. She could see he was rocking back and forth.
"What actually happened? I'm sorry you're just not making much sense, take some deep breaths, obviously this was an accident" Claire said knowing Henry wouldn't do something like this on purpose, he couldn't, could he? She wasn't slow at seeing the can wiggle on it's own either. What was happening here. It sounded very much like the way Gabriel had been. She began to wonder if she should give him a phone and get him involved too.

Henry took slow breaths like Claire told him to. He took the water in his hand when she handed it to him, but he didn't drink. His hand was shaking and he couldn't find it in him to move. He was hesitant at first, but then he finally took a sip. The can stopped moving as he calmed down. He shakingly drew a breath. He tried to calm himself as he tried to explain what he did.
"I...I killed him...I killed him. It was an accident. He...he came out of no where. Tried to mug me. He...He did something...Tried to take me by surprise but I...I fought back. He slammed his head...His head his a broken pipe. I...I killed him." Henry said, breathing hard. "I killed someone Claire. What am I going to do?" he asked. "I did something bad...I wanted to see if he was ok...I saw his brain...I...I..." he could talk anymore, whether by choice or if he couldn't. He felt vile and wanted to throw up.

Claire felt a bit better as Henry took the time to calm down, and she was happier when he began to drink some of the water she had given him. This was very awkward she thought, as she listened to him tell what had happened. Claire felt a surge of love rush to her surrogate brother, after all, he hadn't meant to do what he did, it was an accident. Self defense right?
"Henry, Henry..." Claire began in a soothing but rushed voice, "Come now, you really need to calm down, this wasn't your fault, it was self defense, right?" Claire said, as she took in his story, or at least the little of it she could understand at that point.
"You didn't mean to do it though, we'll get this sorted" maybe she should phone Gabriel. At least she knew he knew what it was like to do that. "Look I think I should phone my uncle, Gabriel, he know what it's like to be in this sort of situation" she said slowly.
Then she took out her cell phone and dialed Gabriel's number. "Gabe, any chance you can meet me in this alley, between a Chinese store and an old clothes building, somewhere in Mid-Town Manhattan, I need your help with a friend" Claire rambled a quick message to Gabriel, and hoped he would hurry and arrive and help her to help Henry.

Sylar had finally figured to control the electrokinesis that he absorbed from Jake Osborne. He was making waffles in his apartment when all of sudden his phone started to go off. He hesitated at first, but he figure he better answer. It could be an emergency. He picked up the phone. To his surprise on the other line was Claire.
Claire was explaining something about a friend. He wondered what he could be about. He sighed as turned everything off and placed everything back in the fridge. He guessed that he would do waffles sometime else. It really didn’t matter.
Once he was finished with the cleaning up. He closed his eyes and teleported where Claire told him. He arrived at the location and glanced around the scene. His eyes got wide. What the hell happened? He thought to himself as he went over to Claire and her friend.
“What happened?” He asked in a calm tone as all of sudden his eyes changed to a different color. The hunger…was there…inside of Sylar. He hoped that no one would figure that out.

Henry remained huddled against the wall, even when Claire called her uncle and even when the man popped into existance out of nowhere. His mind was still reeling from the trauma. He had seen death before when his father murdered his sister and mother, but never had he imagined he'd be the one to kill someone one day. Was he starting to become like his old man?
Henry remained silent, only the occasional sniffle here and there. He was cold and possibly caught a cold from sitting there in the rain. "I'm going crazy aren't I?" Henry asked in a low voice. He looked up through the mess of hair that was covering the majority of his face. His own eyes flickered a a different shade of color briefly before returning to their usual brown. Only the mischief was gone and it was replaced with hopelessness and fear.
Henry finally saw the man who had arrived. He looked familiar. Wasn't he Claire's uncle? The teacher at the school with the same powers? What was he doing here?

Claire felt a terrible lurch of the heart for her friend and surrogate brother Henry. He wasn't his usual self that was easy to tell as he sat there huddled in a corner. She wanted desperately to pull him up onto his feet, shake him and tell him everything would be alright, however, she realised she couldn't do that. There had to be an easier way to get through to him.
She continued to sit down beside him, with her one arm around his shoulders, and sort of rocking with him. Just like she was trying to calm or shush a baby. When Gabriel finally appeared out of nowhere Claire just looked up at him and shook her head slowly when he asked what had happened.
"No, no you're not going crazy, you hear me?" Claire said sternly to him, as she still continued to rock him. Then she looked up at Gabriel, "We have to help him, but what can we do? Any ideas? I don't want to lose my surrogate brother to, to what ever this is which is consuming him, it was self defense, he didn't mean to do it, right?" she said again, looking at Henry and pulling him ever closer to her.

“Claire, I don’t know, I don’t know if it was self defense” He said sighing as he shook his head unsure what he should really say to Claire. He knew what really happened the hunger consumed Henry and he had killed. IA came with a price and there was ways of controlling, but it was structure, he wondered if he should say anything about that to Henry.
Sylar at this moment and time was struggling to control his hunger. He had no clue, how to stop the hunger. The science never worked and his mother always said it was structure. What was this structure she spoke off? He wondered if he should see his mother or not?
“You’re not going to lose him” snapped Sylar as he closed his eyes and time froze. The only two moving human beings were Henry and himself, “Okay, Claire isn’t here right now, I froze time, so tell me what happened, don’t make use Telepathy to figure this out, I’m a bad telepathic” He said to Henry as he folded his arms.

Henry managed to pull his head up from his slump and look at the man. Like Sylar, Henry's own eyes were changing colors, but they were short flickers, changing back to their normal brown every now and then. Henry looked around and realized that time had indeed froze. This confused him. He had Gabriel as a teacher, but he thought the man had intuitive aptitude and that didn't let him stop time.
"How did you do that?" Henry asked, ignoring the first question. "Look, I already told Claire," Henry said, sniffling. He was seriously catching something and the interrogating wasn't helping. "He came out of nowhere and the next thing I know he's dead. It just happened so fast." he said, only this time there were know tears. Only a hoarse voice and slight irritation. "And you don't have telepathy, so don't bother trying to tell me you do. I already know what power you have. We same the same one remember." Henry snapped slightly.

"What do you mean you don't know if it was self defense?" Claire exploded at Gabriel. Basically he was saying her friend, her very close friend had done this on purpose? No way, she thought, no way would Henry do something like that on purpose.
"I don't believe what you're saying Gabriel, of course it was self defense, he was attacked, he said so" Claire said in a rushed voice desperately trying to protect her friend. However, if what Gabriel had was beginning to affect Henry, who know how long he'd be able to keep himself under control, and this scared Claire, she didn't want to lose one of her closest friends.
"And there's no need to snap at me, it's bad if I can't care about my friend" Claire said as she continued to sit there with her arm around Henry, having him huddled to her in a hug. However, that was the last thing she said, as Gabriel froze time, and Claire was no longer able to hear anything.

“I’m not going to argue with you, Claire people have different opinions on self-defense” Gabriel said as he gritted his teeth at Claire. He wanted to state out the obvious, but he figured that she didn’t need to know of the hunger, that it would seemed have consumed Henry. He didn’t want it to happen, but destiny was a bitch.
He calmly nodded at Claire, not saying a word as he looked at Henry. He just decided to reply to her last part, “No it isn’t, but you don’t understand…” Gabe began as he trailed off. He had froze time and looked at Henry and just listened to Henry speak.
“You really want to know how I did that.” He said shaking his head, “I stole a man’s ability, I killed him just like you did that to that the man, I started that series of signature moves and now you have, you have the hunger, this I thought that I was the only one to get hunger, but Peter and now you have, you need structure to control it, think of someone you love or close too and that will possibly help it curve down…” He said in a serious tone.

Henry shook his head repeatedly. He didn't know what Gabriel was talking about. What hunger? Henry wasn't hungry. Least, not anything he could actually eat. Sure, he had his sudden thirst for knowledge and his constant wanting to understand stuff, but that wasn't hunger. Was it? Was being hungry for knowledge the same thing Gabriel was talking about?
"I didn't kill him. It was an accident." Henry repeated. He was clutching his head. He didn't want to hear this. He didn't want to acknowledge the fact that perhaps he did kill the man intentionally. No. He was an accident. Henry kept telling himself this repeatedly. Even when Gabriel told him how he froze time, Henry would hear it. He wasn't a killer.
The constant thought of the killing, the repeating mantra, and Gabriel telling him he needed structure wasn't helping. The words were just piling together in his head until suddenly he felt something snap in his mind. Before he knew it, several tin cans were flying through the air, crashing against the walls. A stray one flew and Gabriel and bounced harmlessly off his chest. Henry looked up with a sudden panic look. "What just happened?" he asked.

"Fine then, like I want to argue with you" Claire said, through her own clenched teeth. But Henry had told her he hadn't meant to kill the man, and she believed him. Henry was a soft soul, he'd never harm anybody on purpose, of that she was certain.
"I know it's not bad to care about my friend, so then tell me Gabriel, what exactly is it, I'm not understanding?" she asked him through clenched teeth.
If she'd known he was going to act this way, talk to her the way he had, she wouldn't have phoned him in the first place, but it did look like Henry was suffering something along the lines of what Gabriel had, and under those circumstances, he was the only person she could think of to contact. Then time was frozen and Claire could do no more.
