Elle's nerves weren't still at the moment as she kept looking behind her back. She cut off her phone for a while from any distractions. Well the phone she uses for the regulars like James. But her work phone was on vibrate just in case the Company wants to call. And at the same moment Elle was trying to avoid the Company.
She was looking around carefully for a reason, she didn't want anyone to know where she was going. To her sister's. Yes her sister well actually her aunt's house, but she wasn't sure if she was going to be home. Heck really she didn't know if anyone would be home. It was just at times like these you could never be too sure.
Her father Bob erased all records of her sister from the Company so she wouldn't get too involved with his work. His death was hard for Elle to take and it would probably be hard for her too.
So as she walks down toward the door she has her arms by her side and begins to knock. She stops in the air inches away from the door. Then bringing her hand back. Rubbing her hands on her jacket sleeves she looks back again. Elle wanted no one to possibly know of their relation. Now she calmed herself before knocking on the door and pulling out a key. Opening the door slowly as she poked her head inside.
"Anyone home?" she hollers.

Riley was actually playing in the backyard when Elle decided to come over. Riley hadn’t seen Elle in a while, and even if Elle was her only cousin, Elle was her favorite cousin. In fact, Elle was the only real bloodline she had left. She had no idea where her mother was, or her father, but she didn’t care about her father nearly as much as she cared about her mother.
Riley jumped off the top of the tree yelling, “Avast ye, darned pirate! Ye can’t steal my ship from me!” She waved around a stick as she slammed – albeit gracefully – into the ground. The imaginary pirate backed away in fear. “I am Princes Nightshade, leader of the Britain Guard! You may not pass me, and if you try, you will surely die!”
The pirate, who was of course alive only in Riley’s mind, put his sword to the ground. Riley smiled and cried out, “Princess Nightshade has won again!” She deftly turned back to the tree and swung up on one of its lower limbs. She was pretending to be greeted by the Queen of Britain, Queen Whoever it was at the time. She didn’t care; she was Princess Nightshade, leader of the Britain Guard!
”Anyone home?” Riley looked at the back door. Did someone just call out? That voice sounded familiar.
“ELLE!” Riley yelled happily, jumping out of the tree. She was already racing toward the back door before her feet touched the ground… and how that works, I don’t know. She raced through the house, skidding to a stop in front of the front door. “Elle! You’re here!” Her smile turned skeptical, but she was nevertheless happy. “Wait, why are you here? Did something happen?”

Smiling at the sound of feet running toward her Elle was extremely happy to see Riley. But where was Maureen. When Riley asked if something was wrong she decided not to tell her about the death of Robert Bishop her father. If she didn't know it would be best not to tell her at all, not yet that is. But why wouldn't she know? Oh that's right no funeral! Even though he is dead Elle never sent any type of clue of his death. Then would that mean she should tell her?
No. This wasn't the time for that Elle convinced herself. She might be a sociopath, but she wasn't cruel to her own family. "No reason Ry. What's up with you? School okay?" Elle asked smiling still. It was nice to be around family. It made her less stressful a relief off her shoulders she could be herself.
Well maybe not her complete murderous self, but a kind angelic like self. Then really was that her? Elle was getting far off track as she looked around her blue eyes reflected worry. "Um...Where is aunt Polly?" she asked her voice thick in worry. Looking down at Riley. "Isn't she home?"

Riley was just so happy that Elle had come home. She almost missed Elle's questions as she bounced around Elle. Elle never came home. She was so excited! "Guess what, Elle! I grew! And now I'm taller than the pirate that I killed today! I was so happy!" Then, with a grin that shouldn't accompany the talk of school, Riley cried, "I got an A on my math test! It was hard, but Mrs. Gorseman said I got an A!" Then Riley frowned, "I got hit by a bully yesterday. He didn't walk into my trap for him, and instead a younger boy did. I apologized to the boy, but I think he hates me now."
Then, with a worried glance at Elle, Riley shook her head. "No, Aunt Polly went off somewhere. She won't tell me where, but I think she goes to gamble. Don't hurt her, Elle, she just needs the money." Riley was now anxiously looking at her sister. Riley knew what Elle did in the Company. It wasn't too hard to figure out that much. In fact, Riley didn't know a person with abilities that didn't know Elle. Elle had been everywhere. The younger sister wished she could be everywhere, too.
Or rather, anywhere but here if Elle happened to explode. It didn't hurt Riley, it just scared her to see Elle get mad. Riley didn't like it when Elle got mad.

"Yeah, yeah I see it." Elle said at the comment of Riley being taller circling her nodding in agreement. "An A awesome, still playing tricks I see gotta be careful." kneeling down some she smiled, "Next time make sure you actually time your stuff right. Can't have mistakes when dealing with traps. But I'm your school still shouldn't have bullies hitting you." Elle knew of Riley's ability and hated when anyone took advantage of that. Either way the school shouldn't have bullies still hitting her and not saying anything. Just because she didn't have any type of bruises that really pissed her off.
But then Aunt Polly well she wasn't that bad, but Elle vividly did remember giving her a check. "So made any friends yet?" she replied anxious to hang with her sister how it has been so long. And at times like these she should. This would be a such a peaceful time standing at her full height Elle took a seat in a chair. Traveling is really hard.

Relief washed over Riley as she saw that her sister was not going to do anything. In fact, Riley found glee in the fact that Elle was just going over to sit down. Her work must have a very profound effect on her. Riley trounced over to sit in a chair catercorner to her sister. "Of course I've made friends! And most of them actually aren't imaginary!" Riley laughed. It was an inside joke between the two of them. They both knew that Riley hadn't had friends when she was younger. "Actually, there's Carla. I met her the other day. She has an ability like us, Elle! She has telekineses! It's so awesome! Do you know her?"
Riley waited for Elle to answer (and assuming she did), and then smiled. "So, Elle, you've asked about your dear younger sister. So, time for me to ask about you! What's new? I meant in the Company. Should I join it?" Riley was really wanting to join the company. She wanted to be just like Elle, and she knew she could help people and things if she joined. But would Elle let her?

"Telekinesis huh. Cool." Elle said as Riley began to talk about her friend and a real one at that. It was so good to see that Riley was happy and not going as insane as her. "No. I don't know her Ry. I don't know ever single person like us." that would be weird and somewhat impossible that would be a lot of numbers and her cell phone would be burned out. It was nice to talk to Riley every now and then. This would be evident by the smile on her face she got up to get a cup of water.
Walking over to the faucet she turned it on filling the glass cup completely. Then began to drink at this moment she wished she hadn't. "What's new? I meant in the Company. Should I join it?"[/i] those words cut through Elle's side like a blade. Elle began to choke out of shook and dropped the glass to the ground at her feet. The glass shattered and water soaked the floor. Elle was able to clear her throat after a few seconds luckily it didn't go down the wrong pipe that took forever to clear.
Getting a paper towel she began to clean up the mess as she went to her knees. Mopping up the water Elle began to shake her head, "No. No Riley, I don't want you to ever join the Company. It isn't a place for you." she said this her voice filled with concern and fear like a mother. Wincing in pain at the glass that cut her Elle held back a curse. Well not just a curse many, many curses were being shouted in her mind.
Looking at the blood that leaked from her finger Elle looked around for a band-aid. Not really moving from her spot or her knees just her head spinning around. Then Elle just abandoned the thought of proper bandaging as she stuck her finger in her mouth sucking the blood real quick. Already knowing that it would just leak back out again. There was a heat of nervousness that poured over Elle's body.
At last cleaning up all the glass and water Elle just shakes the water off of her finger tips. This was not at all right. Riley thinking that she could join the Company. Elle didn't want that at all and their father might have considered it, but strongly doubted he wanted both daughters to do such a thing. Then again Elle thinks to the experiments that Noah talked about.
Could Riley been one of those experiment? Would Bob really let his other daughter be put in the line of fire for her ability? Why not he did it with her, but then Elle always thought that Riley was special to him and her. She didn't know what to think about him now. Know she would have to figure out a way to explain why she didn't want Riley to join the Company.
Well she was a fourteen year old she could just make up some excuse. She is a Bishop. And my sister doubt that would work. Elle thought as she took a seat in the chair her head flung over the back of the chair. Her hand was on her forehead. What could she do? Lie? Tell Riley the truth? There were too many possible things she could do, but which was the right one.
Elle should have really thought of this before. Inhaling a deep breath as if it was the only thing that could keep her moving at the moment she looks back at Riley. "Why do you want to join the Company Riley?" asking calmly with room for maybes.

Riley saw the reaction play out before Elle even did it. Elle was drinking. Of course something was going to go wrong, and Riley could feel it. At least the reaction did not play out like Riley thought it would. Riley knew that the house would have been a wreck if her scenario had gotten its day. The trouble was, the house was not theirs, it was Aunt Polly’s, and Aunt Polly would have known something was wrong… if she wasn’t too drunk to notice it. But, of course, Elle didn’t use her electricity. She was much too—careful was it?—around Riley. Even if Riley never got hurt from it.
As it turned out, Riley’s thoughts and what actually happened were far from each other, which was good. Elle didn’t electrocute herself, and she didn’t explode in anger, though she did drop the glass. Riley watched as Elle automatically stooped to pick it up. Riley leaned forward in her seat in the pretense of getting out, but knew Elle needed some time alone. Heck, she would need time alone, too, if someone just asked if they could join the job she was working at. In fact, Riley would be so scared out of her mind for that person, that she wouldn’t be all calm and collected like Elle was.
Riley thought about why Elle was picking up the glass… or rather why she had dropped the glass in the first place. Elle was obviously scared of something. Could it be the Company? Could Elle not want Riley to go to the Company for some strange reason? What was going through Elle’s head right now? Could Elle be wondering why Riley wanted to go to the Company? Of course! Riley would tell her and hope Elle would understand. Riley loved Elle, and it was heartbreaking to be away from any family member for any amount of time.
Elle finished picking up the glass. Riley saw that she was still thinking about what she had said, and Riley instantly grew uncomfortable. If Elle was that upset about the question – seemingly harmless at the time – then what would her answer be? The girl waited patiently for her sister to speak, she would not speak first and disrupt Elle’s apparent calm. Riley knew from experience that if Elle was mad, she could easily bring out her weapon of choice: her ability. Riley did not want even the spare chance of Elle becoming so enraged that she had to use the ability just to cool down. Instead, she waited for Elle to calm, and was rewarded with a question.
Riley looked Elle straight in the eye, and sat back in her chair. She felt very business-like, but on the inside her stomach was whirling in so many different knots it wasn’t funny. She screwed up her eyes, and scrunched up her eyebrows, thinking. Then she smiled, but the smile held none of her apparently boundless energy. She quickly dropped the smile, and said, “You are there, Elle.” A slight pause. “You haven’t been home enough, and I get worried a lot. You’re my older sister, Elle, and Daddy never calls home at night anymore. I get worried that either of you two are going to die and I’m never going to say goodbye.”
Then, because she didn’t know anything about her dear Daddy, she shrugged, “But nothing bad’s gone on, right, sis? ‘Cause when I asked earlier you looked dreadfully worried that I’d found something out. You know you can always tell me… isn’t that what sisters are for? Please, I won’t tell anyone else! Is it a boy? Did you meet a boy that you like and you won’t tell me?” Riley grinned, “Is that why you won’t let me join the Company? Because you think I’ll tattle-tell and tell everyone about your secrets? Well, I won’t!” Whoot! 644 words!

((OOC:After this thread I'm basically going to pull a Noah and take you to the Company =P)) Her mind was rushing and racing with thoughts it is unable to find words. She couldn't even think of answers to Riley's questions. This was bad and terrible she was going to have to tell her. But how would she tell her that their father is good as dead? Sure she met a boy, but not at the Company. And those two facts do not belong in the same sentence. Coming closer to Riley, Elle took a deep breath. "Riley there are many losses that come with the Company. Many losses like our father, he was killed." Elle replied.
"And I almost died as well during an attack and I don't want to lose anyone else. That is why I came her today I was too busy to actually come to see you." Elle didn't even realize that she was crying. Until she blinked and the burning sensation went through her eyes. "Even though your power protects you I don't want anyone to attack or try to attack you."

Riley looked at Elle. She was seriously in thought. Was it true that something bad had happened? What had happened? Would Elle lie? Elle would never lie to Riley, would she? Then Elle leaned forward. ’ Many losses like our father, he was killed.’ Elle said. Riley couldn’t hear her. Riley wouldn’t hear her. But she saw Elle’s lips moving, forming the sentence that Riley dreaded to hear.
Daddy? Dead? Daddy couldn’t be dead, he couldn’t die! Daddy was Riley’s father! Daddy was, well, Daddy was Daddy! Daddy’s can’t die, no, not like Mommy’s can! Elle was serious. Riley could see that. Elle was crying. Elle was crying. Elle never cried, and Riley couldn’t even remember if Elle cried when Mommy went missing. So this was the truth. Daddy was dead. Then Elle said that she had almost died. Riley didn’t hear that, either. She could barely read her sister’s lips, tears were streaming down her face.
“Elle!” Riley cried, and somehow made it into her sister’s lap. “Elle, don’t you ever die on me! Don’t die on me like Mommy or Daddy. I need you, Elle!” It was true, Riley didn’t know what she’d do if she lost Elle, too. She’d have to stay with Aunt Polly forever. She’d never see Elle again, except for in photographs. “Elle, don’t ever leave me like Daddy did.” Riley sobbed. “Promise?”

Quickly Elle embraced Riley in her arms as tears fell down both of their faces. At least she had Riley she will always have Riley. No one would take that away from her and if they did both of them will know of Death. She would kill that person and most likely kill herself. But there was no place for those thoughts here because Elle wasn't going to die on Riley not yet.
"Don't worry Riley. I won't go not yet, not until a long time." Elle reassured her. Moving a loose strands of blond hair from Riley's face it made it easier to wipe away tears. As she lowered her head on Riley's shoulder inhaling deeply trying to get rid of the pain. So much pain but Riley always was able to make feel much better.
"Just one of these days you can be better than me." oh how Elle hated to say that. It annoyed her when people said that. And now her she is saying it, "But...I just might take you to the Company if you be good. I want to show you something." Elle replied smiling.

Riley realized suddenly that she could only cry so much for her father. Sure, he had been her Daddy, but her Daddy hadn’t been around very much. She had been really sad when her Mommy died. This sadness passed fairly quickly, and she realized that Daddy wasn’t as important as, say, Elle. Riley worried over that fact, but said nothing about it to Elle. Was she bad for not thinking her dad was as special as Elle?
Then Elle comforted her, soothed her. Riley smiled as the tears stopped. She felt Elle wipe away her tears, but she didn’t see her sister doing it. Her eyes were closed. What was Daddy like? Anything like Elle? Did she have fun with Daddy like she had fun with Elle? No, she and Daddy never had the relationship that Elle had had with him. Daddy regarded her as the illegitimate child, whatever that meant. He had always loved Elle better.
When Elle began to speak again, Riley’s mood lightened. “Really? Can I really go to the Company? And what do you want to show me? Your boyfriend?” Riley started to laugh happily. Then she sat back and looked at Elle curiously. “What do you mean by ‘you can be better than me?’ I won’t ever be better than you! You’re my sister! Why would I want to?”

"Boyfriend? I don't have a boyfriend in the Company, but I do have a boyfriend. His names is James." She sat back down more calmly than ever, "He is cute and kind, but enough about me." Elle said looking into Riley's eyes. "Anyway I'm getting beat when do you think Polly going to be home?" asking in interest, but then again when the heck would that woman be home?
There was a lot of weird energies in the air so weird in fact it made Elle's hair stand on end. She didn't know what it was. But either way she shook it off, "No you never seen where I worked so I plan to show you." You and everyone that thought I was an only child. she thought thinking on how most people would react.

Riley noticed the Elle had avoided her almost un-innocent query as to why she would be better than Elle one day. Was Elle avoiding it, or had she just totally not heard it? Riley didn't care. She was suddenly interested in what else Elle had to say. So she did have a boy friend! Riley knew it, but she was disgusted. She couldn't think of Elle having a boyfriend for the life of her. She had always remembered Elle being the loner growing up, sorta like how Riley was now. She scooted farther back so that she was sitting on her own chair again, and looked at Elle.
Elle didn't seem the one for a boyfriend, and Riley had already figured that point out. Instead, she focused on Aunt Polly. "I dunno, really. Haven't seen her and don't really want to see her. But your bed is still upstairs, if you haven't forgotten." Riley grinned, pointing directly above her head to where Elle's bedroom was. "You can get some sleep here tonight and then vanish in the morning like you always do." Riley said. It was true, one day Riley got up early and made pancakes for Elle only to realize that Elle had already been up and had gone away. Without even a goodbye, too. "But this time, can you take me with you when you go?" Riley asked. She really wanted to see the Company.

"I don't vanish!" Elle said laughing well she did disappear out the window in the middle of the night. At times like that she wished she could fly it would be so easier on her legs when she slid down then jumped. Those were the nights she loved and kind of missed. But those pancakes sounded better. "Maybe you should have made waffles then I could have stayed." who wouldn't?!
Either way she wasn't going to sneak off tonight and Polly had better not say a word against it. This was more Elle's house than her's she would care not that she was their her father's sister. She could send her flying out the window and no one would ever know. "Man my old room. I haven't been in there since...forever." she tried to think back to being in her room.
But it was getting far to fuzzy and that disturbed her deeply. She began to walk up the stairs, "My...room...?" it seemed foreign for her to say. As she got to the door she touched the doorknob but stopped. What was with her?
